We’re in a world where the good are damned if they speak out for others and also damned if they keep quiet. Gary Lineker chose to speak out. I speak out through my blog. But the universe doesn't expect us to turn a blind eye, and where there is conflict and people are being displaced, it has become even more important for those in a privileged position to speak out

I'm using Gary Lineker, A BBC Sports presenter as an example. He put a tweet out over asylum policy and found himself in hot water for speaking out, suspended briefly pending an investigation into his tweet, then was reinstated a few days later, rightly so.

Responding to replies to the tweet, Lineker described the government’s new plan to detain and deport migrants arriving by boat as “an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people". It's true.

There are people in the world who need our help, people who have escaped conflict and who have become displaced. The bottom line is that as long as what we're saying is in good grace and it is helping others, we should be speaking out.

Some things we know about our fave duo: (1) Daryl is observant (2) Daryl has a memory like an elephant and (3) both Daryl and Carol aren't great at using their words. They are masters of "show, don't tell" when it comes to affection and that's what this whole fic is about. Basically, if you liked the friendship bracelet scene in S10 you'll like this story.

Collecting things for Carol feels like a very natural way for Daryl to show he cares. He can hide behind practicality, so it's not like his defences are totally down in the beginning. But he's still going out of his way for Carol, like he always does.

queenpeletier always writes beautifully, there's A+ characterization, great use of side characters, and lovely attention to detail. Plus, I'm always a sucker for soft, domestic versions of Caryl - this fic ticks all the boxes for me!

I love Seven because he is a squishy Doctor. While he does have the same brash bravado of other faces, he’s less likely to challenge when having a gun pointed to his face. Instead he leaans away from it-- and somehow manages to talk his way out of getting shot by revealing he knows way too much. 

It’s also interesting to me that-- while it’s difficult to translate to screencaps-- when the Russians decide not to shoot them, there is an obvious sigh of relief from the Doctor. Like he wasn’t sure if it was going to work but he’s glad it did. 

I love too how Ace doesn’t even flinch, she just stares them down, bold as hell. Viva la Ace!

Our Hellcat motor build in this Challenger. This car is incredible. @cravenperformance don't mess around #Repost @cravenperformance (@get_repost) ・・・ Unloading the monster after a great night of testing at @gatewaymsp!! This was our first time out making full passes, were making way more than we have ever made with this platform and the trans didn't like it at all. Limiter on every shift, engine side ran beautiful all 3 passes, we were flashing in a trans file with shift points lowered when the rain hit. Look forward to next outing with some of the new advancements the latest @hptuners Beta has given us access to. Thank you to the phenomenal companies and folks involved with this build working to get the car to this point, can't wait to test again and see what a clean pass nets us on this pulley setup.
