I have to admit, I've been struggling to not eat animal-based food for lunch. I know part of it is it's just easier to go that way. But part of me knows I'm hungry for something that whatever it is I'm thinking about has. I guess I need to do some research to find what plant-based alternatives fill those needs.
Honestly, it is frustrating that I have to figure this out on my own. Its frustrating that I dont know what to get because meat and dairy are the standard. And that's why I'm sharing this stuff here, to make it easier for even one other person.
I guess I need to go back to those green blogs I used to read religiously and see what I can find. I'll share them here after this post.

Broccoli on pizza is amazing!
I know. It probably sounds awful. But I swear it's delicious!

I had picked up a slice of pizza from Whole Foods last month and it was a chicken and broccoli alfredo pizza. I figured I'd give it a try.
Sooooooooo good! Granted, I love roasted broccoli, which is what it tastes like.
A few weeks ago, we had picked up a cheese pizza for dinner Friday night. I had black olives and broccoli for other reasons and decided to go ahead and put them on my half of the pizza. Hubby's half got covered in pepperoni. Ever the carnivore.

It's fresh broccoli on the pizza. I'm sure frozen works too, but it would definitely be a different experience. Last night we did the same thing for dinner. I went out earlier to get some broccoli and mushrooms specifically so I could put them, along with black olives, on my half. Still delicious!
