This one accidentally didn't post on April first. It's where I made the joke of making scary videos. I'm glad everyone's been liking my videos so much. You can check out my youtube channel at the top of my page to be able to see my videos a little more organized.
This was such a fun and relatively simple project, it's rare that I finish something in one night. I wrote down some basic steps below, but honestly this is so adaptable, e.g. you could use any clear cup or little bowl and fill them with yogurt and fruit instead. I hope you give it a try and make it your own!
Process:
1. Use candy melts to pipe the red and blue on the inside of some small clear containers. Chill until it's firm, then carefully spread frosting around the inside. You could also just use white chocolate or whipped cream, etc.
2. I filled mine with confetti cake and whipped cream frosting, but again you could fill it with anything you want like fruit, granola, etc. You could even stop here, they're cute already 🥹.
3. To be extra, I added another layer of cake that I'd frosted with pale yellow spikes for that classic Togepi look, plus other details piped with frosting.
I’ve played Pokémon go consistently since 2016 and it’s really funny how many real people in my community that I’ve met through the game that I otherwise would not have interacted with at all
For example I have a long-standing (and heated) rivalry with a random old man in my area over control of the gym in the park across the street. This guy is famous for his Blissey (annoying because they’re tanky as hell) and without fail if I get knocked out I know there’s a 99% chance his Blissey is going to be waiting for me. When I knock him out I replace it with my Mr. Mime, which I know for a fact is his least favourite Pokémon of all time because he finds them creepy as hell
It’s a friendly rivalry, but also I hate his guts
I pulled a few extra Blissey cards from the Pokémon go tcg set, and next event day I’m going to give him one as a gift. In a sleeve. With a Mr. Mime card hidden behind it :)
Snowglobe cake for the Winter Wonders event in Pokemon Go! ☃️
I loved the idea of a little winter wonderland captured in a slowglobe - then captured in a cake! 🎂
Piping a Pokemon with icing often helps me really appreciate it, and I think I may be a Cetoddle fan now! Both Pokemon were made in a 3D style inspired by @miscellaneousmao's recent Pokemon holiday cake, and WOW does it take time and patience! 😳 We baked this live on our weekly Pokemon baking Twitch stream, and it took soooo long, but I really enjoyed the challenge and love the results. 😁
