The second princess alliance
The second princess alliance is such a weird beast. Part military alliance, part social clique, part support group.
An alliance of mutual aid and defence makes perfect sense, and I imagine that's what Angella's version of the princess alliance was. The member kingdoms interacted by the language of diplomacy. Their relative worth was determined by how much help they could give each other, and when the individual kingdoms started to crack under the weight of the Horde's onslaught and the (I assume) death of several of the monarchs, the whole thing fell apart. Angella still tried her best to aid her neighbours, but it was very clear that it was each kingdom for their own, and that both Plumeria and Salineas were just months from falling. A defence alliance at this point is clearly bonkers and doomed to fall.
And then out of the blue, princess Glimmer shows up with friggin' She-Ra of the legends and runs around on a grand tour, promising to restart the whole fiasco again, this time based on friendship of all arcane weirdness. Who's great idea was that?
Tumblr media
Right, that guy.
And right there, Bow saved Etheria. Turns out, Glimmer's drive, She-Ra's strength and Bows incurable, idalistic optimisim was exactly what was needed to gather a bunch of anxiety riddled teenagers saddles with impossible jobs (and Entrapta).
And not only to form the alliance, to make it endure even when it by all rights should have fallen to pieces. Military or political logic would not dictate for the monarch to follow her allies on a commando raid through the sewers - but for friendship, hell yeah.
And when the situation demonstrated exactly how unstable it was, after the allience couldn't prevent its founding members from being kidnapped at what should have been neutral ground, or one of their members to 'die' in the subsequent ill fated rescue attempt?
Mermista, Perfuma and Frosta all did the smart play and stuck to their respective kingdoms. The new alliance crashing just like the first had when it couldn't provide the very fundamentals - protection - that a political wartime alliance should. Each kingdom, by themselves, doomed to perish alone rather than sticking out their neck for the neighbours unlikely to be able to pay back the aid.
And it took them all like half a day of being alone and miserable to remember that the second princess alliance is more than a construct of political wartime diplomacy. It's a friend group. And friends look out for each other.
IT'S FRIENDSHIP TIME, B-WORDS!

I reworked my Sherasona!!
Tumblr media
His name is still Twilight and his parents are still from Brightmoon and Plumeria(as in he's biracial)and were killed by the Horde when he was a toddler but most of him is now different!
He was raised by his paternal grandparents and is childhood best friends with Glimmer and Bow and has plant magic, though not to the same extent as Perfuma since he's not a princess of power. He's insecure over this at first but gains confidence as he grows stronger over the course of the series.Personality wise,he's a 'weirdgirl' who's femme and very kind and bubbly but dosen't hesitate to bring out his tough side when someone messes with his friends. His arc is about learning self acceptance, love and care instead of putting himself down and overworking himself for the sake of others
His special interests are herbology and art and his love interests are Bow and Mermista!!Him and Bow have been in love since they were little kids and him and Mermista develop feelings for eachother over the course of the series, with ends in either two ways:The three of them as a polycule with Bow and Mermista dating Twilight but not eachother or Twilight and Mermista's naturally transition into platonic besties. Also clear up any confusion,he's transmasc and uses he/they but still identifies as a girl since he's also genderfluid and bigender :]

Perfuma x Scorpia x Huntara poly headcanons
Okay where to start?
While I feel like Perfuma and Scorpia got together first, Perfuma would still visit Huntara frequently, and vice versa with Huntara visiting Perfuma.
And, despite their personality differences, what with Huntara being the tough-hearted Wastelander and Scorpia being the sweetheart, when Huntara and Scorpia met each other (through Perfuma), they began to get along pretty well.
These visits became more and more frequent, and soon enough, the three of them began a polyamorous relationship.
Perfuma now has two buff babes to absolutely swoon over.
And both Scorpia AND Huntara have a sweet flower princess to swoon over too.
They're all simps for each other help-
Perfuma teaches the other two meditation; Scorpia gets the hang of it pretty easily, but when Huntara tries it she ends up falling asleep like 2 minutes later. Woman needs sleep.
I feel like while Perfuma and Scorpia live together full time, Huntara can only come and stay for a few days at a time before she has to go back to rule the Crimson Waste.
At first, receiving such tender-hearted affection from Scorpia and Perfuma makes Huntara confused, considering she's never gotten that kind of love before, and it takes her a bit to adjust. But soon enough SHE becomes the one to bring her two girlfriends close to her for hugs.
I feel like they'd also all be gym buddies; Perfuma sticking to the more calm exercises such as yoga and Huntara being a literal fucking bodybuilder. As for Scorpia, she can't decide between the two types of exercise cause she loves both her girlfriends equally, so she hops from one to another each time they work out.
If you were also part of the poly;
They are all so smitten with you omg-
The four of you would go on picnics sometimes in Plumeria. Cause ngl, Scorpia and Huntara have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to non-Horde things like real food.
You'd better bring along your fave snack for them because you need to introduce the two of them to non-ration bar food.
I feel like you'd often go with them to work out, in any way you like, whether you like yoga, weightlifting, or maybe something else you enjoy, like dance, swimming, etc.
If you're not up to it, they're alright with that too !
Because Huntara can only come and visit for a few days, it's usually just you, Perfuma and Scorpia living together.
If you're ever sad, each of your girlfriends have a different way of comforting you; Scorpia would give you all the hugs, Perfuma would let you talk and give you advice and reassurance, and Huntara, while she isn't as good at comfort as the other two, will still listen to your troubles and put an arm around you.
And she would SWEAR revenge on the fucker who made ya cry
They would all be so supportive of the things you enjoy ! I think Scorpia and Huntara, cause they both grew up in the Horde, they would watch you do your hobbies a lot of the time.
Eitherway the three of them think you're really talented at what you do!
Cause I headcanon that Perfuma can play the ukulele and it's canon that Scorpia can sing, I can imagine the two of them making music together, and if you can sing/play any instruments, you would join them. I think Huntara would mostly just listen, as she probably doesn't sing or know how to play any instruments, but she'd make a little tapping rhythm along with the music.
Of course, you show them as much love as they do for you. Like, reassuring Scorpia when she doubts herself, calming Perfuma down when she's flustered or frustrated, and with Huntara, while she's pretty damn tough and usually puts on a front, she often feels like she's being weak (I mean she lives in a fuckin murderous desert) so you reassure her that showing love and allowing herself to be soft from time to time isn't being weak.
All in all, the three of them love you very much, just as much you do for them.

Perfuma Concept Art
Aka My favourite
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Princess Perfuma (she/fae) holds herself highly as the leader of the people of Plumeria. Faced with multiple adversities, Perfuma has still been able to lead faer people to safety in the midst of the Whispering Woods. Some horde runaways are lucky to end up in Plumeria, and it is her promise to build a safer home for ex-horde children.
When all’s said and done, Perfuma can sometimes be a bit overly optimistic and uptight about rules.

lol I spent a portion of last night/today reading someone else's live-blogs of season 5 and I'm kinda glad just bc I'd forgotten that in the LAST SCENE of the LAST EPISODE they were like "yay let's go to space and bring magic back to other planets :D FRIENDS ROAD TRIP"
(also I reread an old interview with ND Stevenson where he was like "wooo I bet they visit a bunch of planets")
Anyway it's forced me to re-imagine the first chapter and change of my fic but it's fine, better now than later
okay lets get another episode down while laundry is in the dryer
s1 ep4!
Tumblr media
On the one hand I get why they have Angella be like this
On the other hand I'm like, do people here not know what "child soldier" means? Yes, Adora's old enough to make decisions for herself, but that's. Why she left.
Tumblr media
I feel like this is loosely inspired by really big pretty churches, but in a fairly neutral kind of way
Or maybe it's just that everything reminds me of Her
Tumblr media
(The cathedral in Leòn, Spain; aka one of my fave places on earth, I'm always surprised this pic turned out as well as it did because when I took it I was crying, anyway)
Tumblr media
*squints* I forget if they ever explain which defeat they're referencing here, I'm positive they do but I'm blanking
Tumblr media
Is that Castaspella on the mural
Tumblr media
Catra's little "prrp!" here was almost definitely involuntary, and I love that they had her do a "surprised kitty" sound
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay so Shadow Weaver is like NO I KNOW YOU NO MORE ABOUT ADORA AND YOU'RE NOT TELLING ME and is visibly threatening Catra, but then her crystal thing starts to hurt her, and as she backs away Catra reaches for her before Shadow Weaver slaps her hand away, have I mentioned how well they portray child abuse survivors
Tumblr media
:(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BAHAHAH that's gay
Tumblr media
the village hoes just be throwing themselves at her amiright
(I don't mean the baby obviously)
Note to self for later, writing reasons: the Princesses all have literal physical objects that are the source of their powers
Man I can never get over the degree to which Perfuma reminds me of a friend I had in the late '00's, a tall thin blond sorta-hippie with long hair who REALLY tries to think positive and loves trees and flowers
Hordak: why are u still so obsessed with blondie Shadow Weaver: i'm not Hordak: you are so full of shit. give it up or no more magic for u
Tumblr media
Poor Adora had NO idea she had to fill shoes this big or old
Tumblr media
Bow will make such a great dad at some future point
Wait I gotta include that in my fic *runs off to write notes*
Tumblr media
accidentally took the worst screenshot lol plz enjoy
Tumblr media
This Ken lives in Plumeria!
Perfuma: we believe karma will come for the Horde someday :) Glimmer: or you could just fight them yourself Perfuma: mmmmmno
Tumblr media
You're gonna have to tell her this like fifty more times
Tumblr media
where did you get those
Boy it took like nothing for Perfuma to convince her people "actually let's go murder those sumbitches, call me KARMA AHAHAH"
Adora's actual magical ability: hiding that huge-ass sword no matter what she's wearing
All the green growing things taking over reminds me of scenes in Princess Mononoke, which was almost definitely on purpose
Tumblr media
Perfuma has tasted blood and she's not going back
Tumblr media
The parallels with "she's not really gay, it's a phase, she's confused, I'll get her to come to church" like I'm sorry but there's no way they didn't use that phrasing on purpose
Glimmer: if you were perfect you'd be HELLA ANNOYING
(she's not wrong)
ANYWAY my laundry was done like fifteen minutes ago but I wanted to finish the episode out :D

What if “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” was a novel and had an epilogue?
There was much rejoicing all across the lands and the realms of Etheria in celebration of Emperor Anillis Kur’s final destruction. From Bright Moon to Green Arbour, the peoples of that world called out with joy and triumph to celebrate their liberation from the great tyranny of the Lord of Aegyssa. For no longer would the long and terrible shadow of that pale and horrid Emperor loom over them or any other people or populace.
In the land of Plumeria, every city and every village rang the Chimes of Victory that had lain sad and silent since the days when Lord Hordak had first settled himself in Horror Hall. Queen Perfuma II declared the first Day of High Jubilation her people had seen in five-and-twenty years as the farms of her lands produced the finest fruits they had borne since the days of Queen Anthelia’s foundation of this realm. And the Queen called for all of high and low estate to come and stay with her in Rosenholt for a feast that lasted for five days and nights. And it was at the end of this festival that Perfuma II took as her bride and love Scorpia IV of Pinceria, now restored into her rightful duty as High Queen of the Scorpioni and Protector of Pinceria.
“Here’s hoping we have twins!” Scorpia cried out in a drunken stupor in front of every Princess on Etheria, resulting in fun and laughter for almost all of the rulers on the planet except for Frosta II of the Snows and Mermista III of Salineas.
For the Sea Queen still grieved for the loss of half her people at the hands of Hordak and the paws of Catra. Salineas was still a shadow of its former self, its temples and museums in worse ruins than the Titan’s Left Arm and all but a twentieth of its homes and houses left uninhabitable. Ethan the Sea Hawk called for his love to calm down and not call for the ritual drowning or scaphism of Izdubar and Eabani’s orphan daughter, but the Senate of Salineas declared that Catra would not be allowed within twenty miles of the Sea Gate for nine-and-twenty years without Lady Adora’s firmest supervision. And meanwhile, the child Queen Frosta II of the Snows could not forgive the mischievous cat girl for destroying the Princess Prom she had hoped to host for her entire short life. Catra had begged and begged for Frosta not to hold the Princess Prom against her, but it was to no avail, and Catra only barely managed to survive a perilous hockey game against a bunch of angry Frost Titans before Frosta would even look at her approvingly at the later Council Meetings.
Things in Dryl fared a little bit better. Hordak and Entrapta had taken to living as hermits in their mountain kingdom to escape the wrath of those who were still calling for their heads on a spit for what had happened in the Great War of 1003-1028. Hordak had taken to enjoying the technology of Dryl immensely, and it was he who was best at keeping records and managing the day to day running of a realm while his wife fiddled with her machines and her robots. Catra, Adora, Bow, and Glimmer had once had dinner with the monarchs of Dryl two years after Horde Prime’s Defeat, wherein Hordak and Bow had joked and bonded over their mutual love of technology and machinery only for an awkward silence to ensue once the subject of how they’d chosen to use their technological gifts they’d created for themselves. There were not many reunions between the former Supreme Leader of the Horde and the Best Friends of Bright Moon after that.
And Glimmer, of course, became Queen of Bright Moon as Glimmer IV. It was strange to think of how relatively short her mother’s reign had been considering the strange genetic mutation that had given both Angella III and her daughter immortality. The thought of outliving all those she loved grieved Glimmer immensely, and she found herself plagued by nightmares about the future.
“Glim, are you okay!?” Bow asked after the Queen woke up panting and screaming from yet another nightmare.
“I’m fine, Bow” Glimmer had answered, “Just another bad dream about bones and dust and hooded cloaks”.
Bow hugged her tight and did not let go for the rest of the night. She responded in kind for five nights in a row, but the only thing that could truly assuage her fears was the return of Catra and Adora into her life. The great heroine and her new love were happy to oblige their best friend, and there was a great celebration in the land of Bright Moon as soon as they arrived at the castle. Instead of a feast, however, there was simply a quiet meeting of reconciliation between friends torn apart by war and violence. And at the end of the evening, Glimmer made the firm announcement, repeated the next day in front of the public, that she and her found family would be leaving behind the Hidden Castle in the Glen where they had been concealed from the Horde since the death of Queen Luminesca the Great during the tragic end of the First Great Princess Alliance twenty years ago and returning to Bright Moon’s ancient capital city of Crystallium Adamantis by the end of the Winter Solstice. And there was much rejoicing in the Realm of Bright Moon at the rebirth of the long lost city which the Horde had destroyed so long ago. Every realm on Etheria vowed to pledge their money and resources to the rebuilding of Crystallium Adamantis, with even Queen Huntara of the Crimson Waste and Peekablue of Apiaria and the High Regent Rogelio of Pinceria (who ruled the former Fright Zone while Queen Scorpia was absent on official business or off gallivanting with her wife through flowery fields and forests) contributing to the Great Reconstruction. Frosta of the Snows contributed the finest crystals to light up the streets of the city and granite stone to reinforce its walls. Perfuma and Scorpia sent forth flowers to decorate the streets and vines to help with construction machines and two pets for Glimmer and Adora to cherish and nurture alongside Melog, a greyhound named Nathanoel and a cat named Molly. From Salineas came the finest marble and fountains to  provide material and sustenance respectively to the workers and to the citizens. Even Pinceria contributed its finest crystals and fire liquid for the sake of the city’s growing infrastructure. Not one expense was spared as the city was reborn from its own ashes and into a brand new light and dawn.
And one day, as they sat together bathing in the sunlight in a field where the sound of the city’s rebuilding could still be heard going on in the distance like the cosmos’ most bass and percussion heavy orchestra, Catra turned her gaze to Adora’s beautiful face and looked at her with the kind of hard won love and admiration that could only come from long years apart in darkness and sorrow. For a while though, Catra did not want to gaze upon the object of her heart’s desire, for she felt unworthy of the love of someone so magnificent and so beautiful. For so long she had tried to destroy Adora, to obliterate the Great She-Ra from her life just so the aching in her soul could cease and she could sink into a passive, apathetic contentment of the kind she had briefly felt both as de facto leader of the Horde and when she was under the thrall of Horde Prime’s terrible hive mind…but that was not true happiness. That could not fill the void that Shadow Weaver had torn in her soul so long ago, or heal the wounds that life had cut into her heart. It was a kind of ‘happiness’ that more resembled silently slipping into quicksand while being too apathetic to resist its pull, not the true kind of bliss that comes from reaching out to love another soul with all your heart.
And with these thoughts, Catra began to weep profusely, her head buried in Adora’s chest as she begged silently for forgiveness and absolution. And yet Adora did not say a word, but merely stroked her love’s short brown fur and sang a lullaby of long ago that Glimmer had taught her to calm and soothe the woman whom she adored so much.
You're okay You're alright I'll never, ever leave your side I will stay and I will fight With you
Aah aah aah Aah aah aah
You're okay You're alright I'll stay here through the darkest night All the way, I will fight With you
We may not have sunshine, or starlight, or weather But we've got each other, and that's even better
You don't need the sun to keep you warm when you've got arms Wishes come from you and not a random shooting star We may not have storm clouds, but the sky's always blue
We've got something special here And what we have is you What we have is you What we have is you
And with that having been sung, Catra lifted her head from Adora’s chest and wiped her nose and let Adora pull her into a hug which she gladly reciprocated (though she still continued to weep rather profusely into Adora’s strong, broad shoulders as Adora continued to sing to her).
And as the two girls continued to hug each other as tightly as they could, Catra began to find herself overwhelmed by an emotion she had never truly felt before in her life, except mayhaps when she was a little newborn kitten during the tiny, precious sliver of eight months wherein she still had her fathers to love and cherish and nurture her before Shadow Weaver had killed both of them and taken her away to the pain and torment of the Horde. It was the love of a family, a love that Catra and Adora had not been given much of in their childhoods and for which they had been forced to tear and grab and scrape and stitch together out of the torn and broken pieces the universe had left them.
“It’s alright, my love” Adora said, “I’m here. He’s gone, she’s gone…neither of them can hurt us ever again”.
Catra smiled at that declaration of hope and reassurance and ceased her tears. For it was true. Horde Prime was dead and Shadow Weaver was gone, and both of them had been cast forever into the Oblivion that awaited all those who were wicked and cruel and mistreated their fellow beings. And Catra was free, and Adora was free, and all of Etheria was free. No longer would they live in cold and darkness, frightened of punishment and pain and desperately trying to hide themselves away in the shadows and corners of their minds. The scars would always stay on their souls, but at long last they had begun to heal and the hurt was weakened.
With that having been thought, Catra turned her face to the sky and Adora followed suit. Before them stretched an infinite universe of wonders and possibilities, filled with strange and beautiful creatures and worlds who were all living and hoping and dreaming in much the same way the peoples of Etheria were doing in their lives. One day, they would all hear the stories of the two heroines who had saved them all with their hard-won love, and even if they never sang hymns or praises to the glory of either Catra or Adora, Catra prayed that they would all be okay and safe and overthrowing any remaining Horde Clones who still oppressed or hurt them.
Right now though, Catra and Adora were just so, so happy.
“We'll have eight kittens, my beloved” Adora said, “and we will raise them all with the love and happiness that was denied to us and tell them stories of Etheria’s great and wonderful history and protect them from anyone who wants to hate or hurt them because of you”.
“Sounds great” Catra purred, “I bet you’re already thinking of names for them”.
“I am, my dearie” Adora chuckled.
Melog came to join his mistresses not long afterwards, curling himself contentedly on their laps as all three of them fell asleep dreaming of the wonderful stars.

Dignity
She-Ra fanfiction Entrapdak Entrapdak Mini Month Prompt / Theme 10 - Formal  Summary: A formal event unlike any other.   --------------------------
Dignity Today was a special day.  He had to look his best.  He had dyed his hair three days prior, with Entrapta’s help.  It was back to the midnight-blue hue that made him feel like himself.  His eyes had become their stunning red.   All that he needed now was a formal dress and polished armor, which Entrapta was adjusting for him.  She was dressed well, too.  It was not like Entrapta to wear dresses, so her clothing took on something closer to masculine business-attire, or perhaps something bordering on a tuxedo. The suit was dark in color, a dark gray, almost black.  Her shoes were polished and they shined, quite a departure from her usual steel-toed work boots.   Either way, they were both very formal.  The tabard-dress that Entrapta had purchased and re-cut for him did not bear any hint of the Horde-wings.  It was, however, black, with a kind of shimmer to it.  In the right light, it took on many colors, like an oil-slick.  Metallic fibers in the fabric picked up all of the reds, the deep blues and the sparks of purple that made up his armor, his eyes and his hair.   They were going to be stunning when they stepped out into Bright Moon’s main hall.   It was the public event of the century.   Guards, in polished armor and brandishing spears, finished their greetings and escorted them both.  The two lab partners scanned the room as previous guests had already arrived.  They took their place in the center, upon the long carpet. People were standing all around.  The Queen was about to address the crowd, as was her father, the elder King Regent.  Queen Glimmer was dressed to the nines, with all of her badges of office upon her person. Entrapta’s eyes quickly found Adora and Catra, and she looked down and away.  Being in her formal attire, she did not have her mask available to her. She also found Bow and Scorpia. Again she looked down and away. Hordak looked straight ahead, his gaze meeting Queen Glimmer’s.   He had almost forgotten about the shackles upon his wrists, binding his arms behind his back.  A guard pressed Entrapta back as Hordak stepped forward. “Hordak, former Lord of the Horde,” Queen Glimmer addressed him, “Your fate has been decided.”   “Good, finally,” he rumbled.   “Are you willing to accept it? Today is your formal sentencing.”   “You do remember my requests, do you not?” “We do,” King Micah answered.  “Entrapta has been fully exonerated.  Your child shall be cared for in your absence.  Your brethren are free and are already being given over to caring families and counseling for cult deprogramming and habilitation into Etherian life.” “Good.  Than I accept my responsibilities and my formal sentence.”   The King and the Queen both looked sorrowful, regretful.  Hordak noted the kind of shocked look on Catra’s face, and Adora putting a hand on her shoulder.  Adora did not look too well, either.  Princess Mermista of Salienas had a sour look.  Princess Perfuma of Plumeria seemed to be clutching some kind of crystal. Castaspella, sorceress of Mystacor, looked impassive.  Scorpia was fidgeting with her claws and twitching her tail.  The archer looked anywhere but in his direction.  The elder princesses, the holdouts from the first rebellion, looked grim and serious.   “I am afraid,” Queen Glimmer announced, “That the governments of our alliance-planets have given us no choice.  This is not usual Etherian-justice,” she narrowed her eyes, “but considering the damage you have caused, it is probably better than you deserve.”   Hordak stood straight and tall, keeping his formality and his dignity.   “The sentence is Death,” King Micah told him. “I have been elected to carry it out. It will be by a magical life-taking sigil.  I assure you that it will be swift and painless.  We shall inter your remains with dignity.  A life for the lives you have taken.  An insurance that you shall do no more harm.  The sentence will be carried out at dawn in three days time, giving you a chance to make your peace.”   “No!” Entrapta shouted.  Guards were quick to hold her back.   “It’s okay,” Hordak mouthed to her as the pair of guards that had led them in took their positions beside him to lead him back to his cell.   Hordak pinned his ears back and looked at his feet the entire way, trying to shut out the sound of her wails and the sound of her struggle against the guards.   She knew better than to fight it.  He could hear her trying, anyway.

Makeover, Makeover, Makeover, Makeover...
The sound of Glimmer’s teleporting rang like an alarm clock as she rapidly flitted through Bright Moon in search of the one person who could help her.
“Double Trouble!” she called. No answer. She teleported into the next room. “Double Trouble?” She clenched her fists in frustration and tried a new room. “Double Trouble, it’s urgent! Answer me!” She’d already checked their room, the kitchen, the hallways, Catra’s room, the--wait a minute.
She’d seen Catra in her room...but Catra was away at Plumeria, helping Scorpia set up for Perfuma’s birthday party. Glimmer growled and teleported back into Catra’s room, glaring at the transformed DT.
“Very funny, Dee. Thanks for wasting my time.”
“Any day, love,” they said, changing back into their usual reptilian form. “Now, what is it I can do for you?”
“I have a job only you can do.” She gripped their shoulders, looking them dead in the eye. “Adora is in desperate need of a makeover! Her dress for the party is terrible, and we have to be there in an hour!”
“Is...that all?” They were hoping for some espionage. Then again, they’d secretly yearned for such an opportunity, to tackle the boring and drab Adora and turn her into a She-Ra-level princess. They were tempted to help for free.
No, Double Trouble, always charge for your services, no matter how small. “Well, seeing as that particular job is as delicate as it is difficult, I’ll have to charge you double.”
Glimmer teleported them into Adora’s room, and the sight before them made them stare in silence for awhile.
“...Okay, I can now see the severity of the situation. The only payment I need is not having to look at...all that...ever again. Is that even a dress?” They approached cautiously, as if the fabric would lurch out and attack them. “I can’t even tell what the cut was trying to achieve. Not to mention it’s far too big for you. And this color... Is it gray? Is it green? Is it brown? I’m sorry, since when is murky swampwater the new black? ” They gagged to emphasize their point. “Where did you even find this? What happened to the red dress you wore to Princess Prom?”
“I accidentally spilled stuff on it, and I didn’t have time to clean it, and I found this one in storage in the back of a closet.”
“Adora, that dress is so hideous even the moths wouldn’t eat it. Take it off and put it in the corner. I don’t want it to touch my skin--just looking at it might give me hives.”
“But then I’ll only be in my underwear!”
“I don’t care. Get that thing off before you get a rash.”
“Adora,” Glimmer said, “I will personally teleport to the nearest store and buy you a new dress.”
“But how will I know if it fits? And what if it doesn’t look good, either--”
Double Trouble clapped once to bring the attention back to them. “Darling, darling, darling. You forget you have a shapeshifter at your disposal.” They shifted into Adora in a sleek black dress. “I can find something that suits you in half the time it’ll take to look around a dress shop. Let’s see...you favor high necklines, right? That’s all I see you in.”
“I don’t want to wear black. We’re going to Plumeria. It’s flowery and colorful and sunny. I’ll stand out and overheat.”
“And it’s too formal,” Glimmer added. “The party is...lightly formal?”
DT tapped their chin thoughtfully. “...How do you feel about pastels?” Their body became black and peppered with glowing green dots as they changed again, this time putting Adora in their own Princess Prom outfit, minus the coat.
Glimmer liked it, but Adora wasn’t convinced.
“Maybe something less...”--Adora prodded at the choker and earrings--”embellished.” She glanced at the high heels. “And easier to walk in.”
DT rolled their eyes and muttered, “Of course she doesn’t like jewelry or heels, why would she make this easy?” They thought for moment more. “Let’s see if I have anything more plain, since that’s apparently what you’re into.”
“Wait, if you have anything?” Glimmer tilted her head. “Have you been showing us options from your own closet?”
“Of course! I have impeccable taste, and it’s faster to let her borrow something. We’re similar sizes, even though I’m a head taller. If we just bring the skirt up a little, no one will notice.”
“And how will we--”
“We’ll pin it and hide the evidence with a belt, of course. Now let’s see...I do own a red dress, if red is your preferred color, Adora. May be a bit much for the occasion, but I promise I’ll overdress as well, so at least you won’t be alone in being the best-looking person there.”
Glimmer snorted, but Adora looked hopeful.
Double Trouble shifted again, this time putting Adora in a red satin piece with an open back, floor-length skirt, and lower neckline. “I know it’s maybe a bit out of your comfort zone, but it’s great for warm weather. I’m sure you still have the gold sandals you wore to Princess Prom, so pair those with it. We’ll find you a golden belt to match.”
Glimmer’s eyes gleamed. “I love it! Adora, you have to wear that, it looks amazing!”
Adora blushed at the prospect of showing so much skin, but it did look nice.
“We can adjust the straps a bit, too, to bring the neck up a little,” they offered. “The only other red dress I have is tighter and far more glitzy, so this will have to do. In any case, it beats wearing pond scum.”
“Okay, we’ll make it work. Thanks for helping out, DT.”
They grinned. “I know, darlings, what would you do without me?”

Princess Glimmer and the Day of Many Choices: The only way to stop an evil mom is an evilier mom (29/?)
"Perfuma!" Scorpia cried and hurled herself forward to stop the sparks, but before she had the time, a black and purple seal formed out of thin air, blocking the attack immediately.
"What are you children?" playing at now? came a well known, smooth and rich and only slightly slurred voice.
Tumblr media
"You… saved me?" Perfuma gasped.
"Yeeees, princess," Shadow Weaver smarmed. "I wouldn't want to throw away potential such as yours…" She leaned forward to touch Perfuma's hair, causing Perfuma to take a step back in discomfort.
"YOU!" the Scorpion woman snarled with absolute loathing and hatred in her voice.
Tumblr media
"Scorptra?" Shadow Weaver said in genuine surprise. "What are you doing here? Didn't I already kill you once?"
"You killed my mom?" Scorpia gasped.
"Yeeeees," Shadow Weaver happily said, apparently enjoying the memory. "I killed BOTH your moms. Poison. It was a slooow, paiiiinful death… What? They stood between me and power," she said, as if that would explain everything.
"DIE!" Scorpia's mom snarled and unleashed another torrent of electricity, which Shadow Weaver easily blocked.
"If you couldn't get me back then, what makes you think you can get me now?" Shadow Weaver taunted.
"Because now she's working with me, witch," Angella said with measured voice. "And your loathsome presence in this world has been tolerated for way too long."
Tumblr media
Shadow Weaver looked up and met the gaze of the queen.
"Oh fuck," she said with low voice.
Tumblr media
"Now, die. Be mourned by no one," Angella said matter-of-factly and unleashed a ball of light, bright as the sun. Shadow Weaver scrambled to pull up a magic defense, but the light melted straight through it.
It was only in the very last moment that a plant vine placed itself between the shadow witch and the lighting ball
Tumblr media
"What?" Perfuma said as Catra, Adora and Glimmer gave her a long look. "It's not like I would just let her die. It has nothing to do with her flattering me."
"Very good," Shadow Weaver panted and got to her feet. "You have power, oh daughter of Plumeria (who I totally remember the name of). I hope you don't squander it like others have done." She gave Adora and Glimmer a meaningful look. "In fact, under my guidance you could…"
"Why is my mom here?" Scorpia asked, staring with huge eyes at the older Scorpion woman, currently engaged in finding something heavy to throw at Shadow Weaver. "How is my mom here?"
Tumblr media
"What she said!" Glimmer cried, staring at Angella.
"Enough chit-chat!" Shadow Waver cried. "Follow me! (Except you, Catra. Stay behind and die)"
"Where are we going?" Adora asked, firmly dragging Catra with her as Shadow Weaver oozed down a corridor.
"To that infernal machine Hordak and that cursed tinkerer from Dryl built," Shadow Weaver cried. "If Angella is here, that means the walls between words is not holding as well as they should. We have to stop something even worse from crawling out from the woodworks.

Perfuma, Strength of Plumeria
Height: 5'5" Hair: Waist length wavy pale blonde Eyes: Chocolate brown FC: Genesis Rodriguez Birthday: March 1
Perfuma is one of the elemental princesses of Etheria, though until the threat of the Horde directly affected her kingdom, she believed her involvement in the rebellion was unnecessary. She held a philosophy that a higher power in the universe would right the dire situation of the world. When realizing that this wasn't entirely true, she joined the Rebellion and fought for the peace she so desired.
