Shadow halfheartedly grumbling under his breath as he carefully crouches on a branch with one hand sticked inside a thicket of leaves and branches and manages to finally cradle the tiny ball of blue quills & pull baby Sonic out of the thicket who uncurls and holds out his mittened paws towards Shadow's face with excited babbles and Shadow huffs, holding back an amused smile before carefully holding the child close and jumping down the tree to take the gremlin back to his fox brothers

i'm digging into the details now... i'm thinking about what exactly the people of snowpoint would've gotten on their once-a-month supply runs... cuz like, for a mountain community, they're basically self sufficient. they grow their own food and they have access to fresh water and so forth. so, it just makes sense for the supplies to be stuff that they can't get up there. maybe some raw materials, or maybe some medicines. maybe there's a sick kid up there who relies on that medicine to live. and missing a month's worth of doses... would be really bad
so when shadow goes up the mountain following that lead from rouge, he's half-expecting to arrive at an empty town, or a town full of corpses, or whatever. but he also brings a bag with the medicine just in case the people are still there and that kid still needs it.
and of course, they ARE still there and that kid DOES still need it. so it's good that he brought it.
but rather than just being an outsider, an out-of-towner, i think it'd be REALLY FUNNY if everyone in snowpoint called him like, a mailman or something. cuz of how he initially brought that medicine. in a satchel. like an old school mailman. it's so hallmark it hurts

Hiya everyone, I really hate to do this but work has been cutting my hours down and I'm just about to move out into a flat that realistically I can't afford. So I will be introducing paid stories.
I've contemplated on doing this multiple times but also stopped myself because I don't like the idea of it. However, with the situation I am in I have to try and make some extra cash wherever I can.
So I will be doing commission based work, commissions will be done through PayPal and prices will be placed below. Just simply privately message me with how many words and what premise the story or X reader is and as long as it doesn't break these rules below you'll be golden.
Rule one: no incest
Rule two: no mentions of suicide or harmful subjects
Rule three: I will write lime but not smut
Rule four: nothing with underage characters or adults x children.
Prices:
Commissions will be paid for in advance and once that has been done the story will be written and sent to the person who purchased it. If they wish to have it made public they can.
500 words - £10
1000 words - £15
2000 words - £20
3000 words - £30
4000+ words - £35
I know this is a lot but it's the cost of my time, which is quite limited as I still work and it takes a lot to write well a lot.
Thank you and I hope you understand, Tumblr has been very kind to me and I hope to one day do the same. But for now I am very stressed and very tired and if I can somehow make a little bit of cash by doing something I like then so be it.
And ofc no pressure in doing this, but I'd appreciate if you can share this as much as you can!

Whenever we talk about ShadowxAmy in the context of Shadow's immortality (whatever form that may take), I feel like a lot of autonomy is taken away from Amy.
We always talk about what Shadow would do, how Shadow would feel. We talk about their greif and rage and sorrow. We never talk about how Amy thinks or feels about the situation.
Worst still... there seems to be this general unspoken assumption she'd just... let whatever happen, happen?
Like, do we not think that The Amy Rose, rascal and romantic, would do everything in her power to stick around? To spread love to every corner of the globe, to share that love with her partner- why keep that to a singular lifetime? She's taken her fate into her own hands more than she can count. Why would taking her life in her hands in this way be any different?
Amy Rose wants to live. She wouldn't just let anything stop her.

massive shoutout to carl for giving us the most iconic shadow voice without even knowing it
(interview with jason griffith talking about his work as a VA, timestamp 2:00)
transcript:
[jason talking about his inspiration for auditions]
Jason: I don’t remember if Shadow sounded different from the beginning of when I started voicing Shadow to the time that I was canned, but he was based on a roommate that I had named Carl; and Carl would always- (now in shadow/carl voice) He’d always wanna talk about the book he was writing, and he’d smoke cigarettes at eight in the morning, and Carl worked the third shift so as soon as I was waking up he was coming home: “hey man.” And so I based Shadow on him when they asked me to audition for Shadow. I immediately knew- I’m like oh, this is Carl.
