So fun fact about myself I’m terrible at gauging when anything has an after credits scene and I missed the after credits scene of Gundam Witch From Mercury at the end of season one and when I started season two I was so confused. I finished episode two of season two before I even realized the after credits scene of Suletta turning someone into a pancake with Aerial.

The newest episode kinda dampened my enthusiasm for VIVANT a little bit? Because while I do like Kaoru I hate the idea of a romance with her it’s SO OVERDONE and this drama DOESNT NEED THAT.

Romance and relationship (and love) with Nozagi on the other hand?? That would be the opposite of overdone. That’s never been done. Why are you so fucking boring TBS writers

I'm kinda disappointed about the handling of dragons in the dragon prince, they feel so idk normal? In the first season dragons seemed like these mysterious being, the manifestation of magic itself, now they kinda seem like overly intelligent pets.

Also sad about the lack of body types, I understand that making different models for every dragon is impossible, but I'm still kinda mad. The tales of xadia introduced so many different dragons and body type while the trailer makes it seem like all the difference between them are colors and some frills.

I really hope Neil and Craig explain that "kiss" in the podcast, because I'm trying to understand it thematically, and I'm lost. Still loved the episode, loved that they changed it from FEDRA to infected, but yeah...

Edit/update: They definitely called it a kiss and it was intended to be intimate. She was still in control at that part. They were trying to make a commentary about love and reproduction. The discussion on that moment starts at 26 min into their official podcast.

Started watching the Ninjago shorts. Only seen the first one, but it was an oldie from like the first season. Nya is fighting off some skeletons and Jay hears the gong and uses Spinjitzu to reach the house (which, honestly isn’t that far away.)

I miss the days when the ninjas used their Spinjitzu for almost anything. Even things they really, didn’t need to use it for. Now they just, forget they have powers or something? Idk.

Not bashing on the new seasons, I still think they’re pretty good. Just wish they used their powers more. Like, I haven’t seen them use airjitzu once in the newer seasons. Did they just forget? Am I missing a reason for them not using it? Cause I do forget things frequently. Like, there have been a couple times where I’m yelling at the screen, saying “USE THIS POWER!!” And the ninja are just like, “Well, I guess there’s nothing we can do.”

I also think it’s pretty funny that Jay has suggested using powers, and they just don’t do it? Jay included? Why write the suggestion in if it’s not even gonna be used!?!?

I’d give an example, but I can’t remember the exact details and I’m too lazy to search. I’m pretty sure it was in Sons of Garmadon though.

Like, I understand some of their powers take a bit to charge, or are risky. Like the Tornado of Creation, and I believe Cole is still getting used to his super strength after being a ghost. Or there are limitations, like when there is a mental block or they’ve been drained or vengestone.

I can understand wanting to not make your characters too OP, but nerfing their powers is not the way to get around it. I feel a good amount of their bad guys are pretty equal to them in power anyway, so taking their powers away, that give them advantages, is just dumb. Especially when you have them going through almost a whole season or more to learn them, just for them to not turn up again.

I love Ninjago, but the writing does get pretty hit or miss sometimes, lol.

Still love the show, just felt like ranting a bit. And I think it’d still be pretty funny if they used Spinjitzu to just like, move two feet or go the the store. 😂

idk how much of a "controversial" opinion on the show but still putting it under the cut

i dont like yor. i would like to and i hope i will eventually.

but for the most part shes either boring or slightly annoying. i think its just the adult woman constantly panicking about being a good mom and wife and thats all she has going on in her life?

its just hard to look at her character and not think 'oh, youre an example of this sweet eager to please woman who exists only to be a wife and mother that some people are going to idolize a little too much" kind of thing. especially with that news circulating the past few years of the birth rate shrinking in Japan, and it just gives makes me roll my eyes.

havent read the manga, hope this improves a bit later on.

Welp, I’ve found an issue with Camp Cretaceous.

Upon watching the yacht party episode, I noticed something - Darius’ palms and soles are the same color as the rest of his skin. The animation in this show is very thorough when it comes to character details - Brooklyn’s roots grow out during the 2nd and 3rd season, Kenji gets some stubble, everyone’s hair models look more unkempt and frazzled after the whole stranding thing… yet the studio couldn’t bother to get Black features right? Pretty disappointed.

im trying to determine where in hell did the cavalry cross the mountains range (for my fic) and it's driving me crazy.

ok so initially i thought they went up the Poros river but no, they're above it. Then I thought they went up till Cair Andros, anchored there and entered through the pass that will be the future Morannon. But again, nope because Elendil gestures to here (above) and it seems they added another river forking from the Anduin before future Osgiliath ? ok i guess why not

The watchtower + village is located on that little mountains range at the bottom of the plateau of Gorgoroth, so unless there's another road i don't remember that goes through that part of the mountains (where Minas Morgul will be) I really don't see any LOGICAL explanation as how they magically landed INSIDE the Southlands (but it's ok im adaptable) I guess they used the (newly created) river and we assume it goes through the mountains (someone should tell Frodo and Sam..just saying).

My biggest issue is this: (aside that im no good at directions) from Ithilien you cannot enter Mordor except THROUGH the Morannon, that damn stupid mountains range (really not HOW mountains work btw Tolky <3) prevent any invasion. that's the CENTRAL plot of many of the wars to come. If you tell me there's another road large enough for an entire cavalry to walk through I'll just consider everyone in the 3rd age fucking stupid.

I'm also assuming that Numenor made their camp near the Emyn Arnen (they mentionned hills iirc?)

plot armour: Sauron used to make mountains with Aulë he just grew one to block the passage once he was back in his villain era. OR they landed at Cair Andros and passed through the Morannon as I initially thought and It's just fiction... I should really chill because no one cares.
