Old Habits Die Hard

Summary: Summer has a habit that she can't seem to break, resulting in asking Qrow to do it for her.

Pairing: Qrow x Summer

Word count: 782

“We can’t keep doing this.”

“I know.”

“We shouldn't keep doing this.”

“I fucking know.”

Qrow grits his teeth and he’s happy she’s facing away from him, happy he’s taking her from behind and her face is pressed against the vinyl cement of his home.

She shows up to his door week after week, acting as if he really has a say in anything they do, when they both know he’d never deny her, never turn her away. He loves her too much for a selfless act like that.

With a sharp flick of his wrist he slaps the pale flesh of her ass and Summer yelps, her cunt spasms around him and he grinds his teeth harder. He hits her again and again, until her skin is as red as her cloak, before rubbing the tender skin with his finger tips.

Fisting his hand in her hair, Qrow yanks her head back and she twists to the left, her mouth searching for his. They don’t really kiss, that would be too romantic for her. They fight with teeth and tongue, biting at one another until his lip splits and scarlet is smeared across the bottom part of her mouth.

Qrow thrusts hard and fast, tightening his grip in her hair and Summer moans, pushing her back against him and he can tell she’s going to come. She seldomly doesn’t, not if he can help it, and when she grips the wrist of his hand that's in her hair, he focuses on keeping the pace to help her ride it out.

“Shit.” She cries, her voice high, and Qrow lets go of her hair, instead slipping his hand to her shoulder, anchoring himself and chasing his own high. Summer throws him a look over her shoulder and in a quick few seconds he digests her expression. Heart shaped face, thin nose, rosy cheeks. Wet lips with sad eyes.

Raising his hand he smacks her ass again and she yelps, hissing through her teeth. “Outside, outside.” she breathes, and he tries to hold off just a moment longer before he yanks out of her heat entirely, his release coating the backs of her thighs.

Staggering back on wobbly legs, Qrow falls to the couch behind him, his chest heaving. Summer leans with one arm against the wall, straightening herself. She glances at the backs of her legs, and tramples softly to the kitchen sink. His eyes stay straight in a hazy gaze as he hears the faucet turn on and off before he drops his head to the backrest of his couch, slowly exhaling.

“This is the last time.” 

Summer is standing by the door, all of her clothing on. He hadn't even heard her redress. He frowns, tugs his pants fully back on and stands.

“Sure.”

“I have a family now, Qrow.”

“Raven had a family. But sure, it’s yours now.” he says in an icy tone and Summer flinches. Her eyes narrow as she looks him up and down.

“When are you going to grow up?” she seethes and his mouth falls open in shock because where did she get off acting high and mighty?

Folding his arms, he glares at her. “You started it.” he argues, his voice like a child and Summer rolls her eyes.

“You could say no.”

“We both know that’ll never happen.” 

“Well it needs to!” Summer shrieks, and suddenly the house is very quiet. Wringing her hands, she sighs. “It needs to, because I can't… I can't do it. And I need to, for Tai. And Yang.”

Qrow clenches his jaw, tightens his fists. “What about Ruby?”

Summer sighs, her eyes fluttering for a moment before she looks at him. “She can’t know.”

“I swore to you I'd never say anything,” Qrow replies, tries to keep the hurt out of his voice. “And unlike you, I can keep my promises.”

Summer lets her hands fall for a moment, then nods, almost to herself. “You’re right. You’re a better man than anyone gives you credit for,” She sniffs, and Qrows heart leaps at the sound. “So please. Just, do this for me? If I come back, don’t answer. Okay?”

Qrow stares at her, takes in her damp eyes and quivering bottom lip, the worry lines that are lightly beginning to etch in her forehead, and he nods with a lump in his throat.

Summer sighs again, dips her chin. “Thank you.”

Qrow says nothing, instead turns his heel and stands before the fire. He watches the flames crackle as he hears the door open, a pause, and then shut with a loud click, and that's the last time Summer Rose is in his home ever again.

I think the theory that ruby is actually qrows kid is really interesting and would have opened a lot more interesting options when it came to dealing with raven, there could be real potental to have a third faction that's neutral for justified reasons and have ruby's parentage influence how they act instead of having raven be grr greedy bandit like she ended up being in the show

One of my favorite things about Rwby

Is this dynamic

Ruby Weiss and Blake all have world altering importance

And yangs just like a very determined older sister

Yang just wants her family all safe and happy and would happily die to ensure this

Yangs just like “this is my found family” and it’s like the most important people in the world

Not that this is at all new she’s just like surrounded by them her uncle is one of the best huntsmen alive despite being falling over drunk all the time considering he does all of ozpins missions personally and always by himself Ravens so good of a criminal she was on salems radar plus she’s MAGIC and can turn into a damn bird AND so yangs gif that in her I guess + the whole maiden thing summers super important somehow connected to salem as well ironwood who was the general for a WHILE was so close to qrow he might be her or rubys god father ozpin liked strq so much he gave two members magic so he might be a godfather too cause he seems to be really close to the family too

She’s like a magnet

And Yangs still just kinda there and she doesn’t consider any of these people like high and mighty or anything for being so important

She talks to ironwood super casually for the highest ranking military commander ever when he visits her after she becomes a criminal in v3 Qrows just her uncle when she speaks to Raven she’s totally ok with the idea of beating up her entire clan of criminals to get what she wants and then doesn’t respect a THING she says even after the reveal that MAGIC IS REAL and then when they Talk again after Raven joins salem, the bad guy and reveals she’s the MAIDEN which is super powerful yang insults her over and over with only one of her arms like she’s in no danger and then when she confronted ozpin/ Oscar about what Raven told her she gives him no special treatment for being a magical wizard that her entire family (minus Raven) trusts to make any decisions

Yang makes no exceptions no one is special yang would look the gods in the eyes and go “fuck off” and see nothing wrong with that
