The great mufassir Imam Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari [rahimahullah] included the following statement in his tafseer of surah at-Tawbah:
… Hajjaj ibn Abi Zaynab said: I heard Abu 'Uthman say: In my opinion, there is not a single aayah in the Qur'an that gives more hope for this ummah than Allah's statement:
🌺 ❛And there are others who have acknowledged their sins. They had mixed a righteous deed with another that was bad. Perhaps Allah will turn to them in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.❜ (Q9:102)

Don’t lose hope in the mercy of Allah ﷻ. Don’t leave the path, feeling unworthy because you keep returning to sins after Tawbah. Don’t leave off the aspirations of dying as a ش because of the sins that have overwhelmed your soul. You have a Lord that rejoices at the repentance of His slave. If we repent sincerely, it is as if we have no sin. We have been comforted by the fact that the righteous even have sins. We have been given relief knowing that if we didn’t sin, Allah would replace us with those who sin so He May forgive them. Your regret, remorse and sadness over sin, O slave of the Most Merciful, is a blessing in itself. Cleanse yourself with consistent istighfaar and daily Tawbah. Present yourself to Al-Ghaffar who wants and will accept your repentance.
‘Allah wishes to accept your repentance…’ {Surah Al-Nisa : 27}
‘He is the One Who accepts the repentance of His slaves and pardons their sins. And He knows whatever you do’
{Surah Al-Shura : 25}
May Allah restrain our nafs from evil and forgive us of our major and minor sins آمين

Do you know, the enormous test of your Sabr is when you have to forgive yourself. The heaviest weight you'll ever carry is when you'll lift yourself up. When you decide to give yourself chance and learn that you are the only person who wouldn't give up on you.
We think, forgiving others is hard. No, when love comes, forgiveness complies. When hatred comes, forgiveness becomes a necessity. But for your own being, forgiveness weighs a ton. The fragility of your broken soul makes it weary of acceptance. That you have committed a mistake. The love you had for yourself, evaporates with the sin. Hatred seeps in. And it blinds you of all the battles you've won in your life until now.
Picking your broken parts and just holding them even aches. It's like, you're laying paralysed with the heart with your mind cursing you, your body too exhausted to get up and soul weeping bitterly. You despise this sorry site. But, you cannot die in this misery either. You wait for some aid, some hold to grab on, some relief, someone who can gather you but find none. But Allah. You're ashamed to turn back to the One you've disobeyed. But, now, do you have anyone else besides Him? You won't find any refuge besides Him.
So, limping and crawling, you stand on your knees before Him. With all the guilt n remorse. Again. And Again. You beg Him to grant you the courage to forgive your own soul. You remember that He loves to forgive you, so you, despite all the reasons to give up, decide not to give up. Just because He has granted you time, to repent and correct your wrongs. And you decide to choose yourself over self hatred. The one inside you, who didn't know better, you forgive her...and ask Allah to heal the one hurting inside you. It takes a lot of strength. But this is all you've been doing..this is all what you know to do...and you'll need a life-size forgiveness for it.

The best of deeds is that you leave this life while your tongue is wet with the remembrance of Allah

Al walaa wal baraa!
"A brother once told about another brother, who has now returned to our Creator subhanahu wa'tala. This brother was someone who tried to implement loving and hating for the sake of Allah, like no other. One day they met with this brother and talked to each other - after a while they became very thirsty.
The brother told to them: "I'll go buy us something" - and went on his way. No one accompanied him, assuming that he was going to the supermarket around the corner.
10 minutes later he is not there.
20 minutes later he is not there.
30 minutes later he is not there.
The brothers began worrying, wondering where he was, perhaps something had happened to him, all of a sudden they see him coming back with a couple of bottles.
"Where were you?" - they asked him, wondering why he had taken so long. Because the supermarket was just around the corner.
He answered them:
"I prefer giving my money to people who testify just like me, that Allah is the one, instead of giving my money to the mushrikeen."
And for this way, he covered a distance of 45 minutes, instead of making it easy for himself to go around the corner, although he would be allowed to do so."

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever says, سبحان الله وبحمده 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful:
سبحان الله وبحمده، سبحان الله العظيم
"Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allah-il-Azim"
(Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection)
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

A beneficial tadabbur I learned recently. In part of an aayah, Allah says:
🌸 ❛Remember when you were few, then He increased you in number. And consider the fate of the corruptors.❜ 【Surah al-A’raf 7:86】
There is a an amazing lesson behind this aayah that can help us stop from sinning if we ponder over it. Allah commands us to:
🌿 (1) Remember how we first started, and how now we have been blessed by Him.
There is absolutely zero way for a person to disobey Allah, except that he has to use Allah’s blessings — that phone, that computer, even the eyes that Allah gives for him to see, ears that Allah gives for him to listen, etc. Remember that we were once nothing, but Allah has blessed us with health, financial capacity, and other forms of rizq throughout our years. When we remember this, we will be shy to disobey Allah.
🌿 (2) And remember His punishment.
When we’re about to sin, stop and think: “If I go ahead with this, what will happen to me?” Because Allah commands us to consider the fate of those who were corrupted — and we know exactly what happened to the nations of Prophets Nuh, Lut etc.
One of the best people to ever lived by these two points was Prophet Yusuf 'alayhis-salaam. When he was seduced by the wife of al-'Aziz, he immediately said:
🌸 ❛(1) Allah is my refuge! It is ˹not right to betray˺ my master who has taken good care of me. (2) Indeed, the wrongdoers never succeed.❜ 【Surah Yusuf 12:23】
Two very same points as the first aayah. What helped Prophet Yusuf to protect himself from sinning was this methodology.
So remember Allah’s blessings, and remember His punishments. May Allah protect us from disobeying Him knowingly and unknowingly, and forgive us when we err, for we are indeed weak and fallible without His protection.

It Is Not Too Late To Repent Until It Is
ʿAṭāʾ reported that Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with him) stated: وقال عطاء عن ابن عباس: “Every soul will blame itself on the Day of Judgment. "كل نفس تلوم نفسها يوم القيامة: The doer of good will regret that he did not increase in good deeds, يلوم المحسنُ نفسَه أن لا يكون ازداد إحسانًا، And the sinner will regret that he did not repent from his sins.” ويلوم المسيءُ نفسَه أن لا يكون رجع عن إساءته". Duā for forgiveness
"O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself and no one forgives sins but You. So, grant me forgiveness and have mercy on me. Surely, you are Forgiving, Merciful."
I pray to Allāh ﷻ that we become amongst the people whom He سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى saves eternally from the Hell this Ramadan. Ameen Sum Ameen.
Pray to Allāh ﷻ for forgiveness, sincerely repent and strive to please Him سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى only. You'll see your life changing. Ask Allāh ﷻ to wipe away all of your sins, and even better, to replace it with good deeds.
—May Allah ﷻ accept our repentance, prayers and fasting. Ameen Sum Ameen.
