(all these things are pretty random hehe)

1. as my username/blog implies, i stan nct but i also stan a few other groups, including twice, and jihyo is my bias for a very special reason...

it makes me so sad to think that she got so much hate when they debuted simply for the way she looked/her body shape. however, i can’t fully express how much i admire her for her perseverance and bravery despite receiving that negativity. she really inspires me to have as much courage as she does, and also helps me feel better about and appreciate my own appearance/body shape. she makes me want to love myself the way i am without wanting to change to fit the standards of others or compare myself to them. i feel like she’s become a sort of role model for me. i hope that she knows how loved she is, and one day i hope i could somehow thank her for the lessons she’s helped me learn and the confidence she gave me.

related side note: i stan nct, bts, red velvet, twice, and blackpink! i listen to the music of so many different groups though that it’s impossible to count how many😭 p.s. song recommendations are always appreciated!

2. something exciting going on right now for me...

several years after a less-than-ideal school talent show performance with a side of technical difficulties, i’m finally taking up singing again! recently i have joined a club that sings/tours locally to raise money for good causes and also works with senior living facilities to bond over music with residents that struggle with memory loss. this is something that affects me and my own family, so it’s very personal and i feel so much joy to be able to help out in this way especially.

3. something i’m looking forward to in the future...

way back in february, which by the way feels like a decade ago, i was lucky enough to get my hands on some bts concert tickets! of course then corona had to come along, but i’m really hoping and praying that it will be rescheduled (it’s currently officially postponed) one day! i’ve been to a few non-kpop concerts before, but only one of those was an artist i was invested/interested in. from what i’ve seen and heard from friends, it seems like a truly unique and amazing experience! the thought of going to this concert really keeps me going and feeling motivated when i need it :)

4. i’m a bit of a neat freak when it comes to song playlists

i have a whole system of organizing my playlists that essentially began when i got into kpop about 2 years ago. the songs are ordered according to the time that i discovered the artist/group, and then within each artist or group’s songs they’re chronologically arranged. kind of miss the days when i’d just add a new song without having to go back later and scroll through over 48 hours(yes you read that right) worth of music to move a song by one of the first artists i discovered all the way to the top :,)

5. an unusual/weird fact about me...

TW: mention of drugs/vaping/smoking/etc

call me a goody-two-shoes all you want, but i feel physically sick to my stomach whenever i hear about substances like drugs/narcotics, and things like vaping/smoking/etc. as well as their effects on you after use. i have been sitting in lengthy lectures arguing against them & explaining why they’re bad and i’ll start to feel like i’m about to pass out. i get dizzy and lightheaded at the mere thought of those things, but at least you won’t ever catch me doing them🤷‍♀️ i highly doubt it’s a diagnosable condition, but i’m just honestly really intrigued about why that happens to me!

Soul Among the Stars |Jungkook X Reader (part 1...?)

Hey so I started this fan fic a long time ago! Right after their first BBMA’s and I found it again and really liked it and I don’t know if I should continue it... would anyone be interested in reading more of this?? Any and all feedback is appreciated! <3

Italicized means spoken in Korean

Jungkook was always desperate to fall in love, he was so desperate in fact he even faked loving people hoping eventually he could fool himself into loving them, but it never happened. He just wanted someone to talk to, someone to hold and kiss, someone he could spoil with gifts and laugh with, but maybe he was just destined to never fall in love.

Y/N was getting ready, I mean it wasn't every day you got to host the BBMA’s! You were an internationally famous singer and instead of being nominated for any of the awards, you had been asked to present it. You were very excited, but wait it gets better! Your favorite band would be there for the first time; the Kpop group BTS.

You had lived in Seoul for the first 10 years of your life before moving to America, because of this you were fluent in Korean and were excited to talk to the boys in their tongue.

Your stylist had just finished doing your hair and you looked in the mirror, your dress was beautiful and flattered your figure. You had to go slightly earlier to the Magenta Carpet because you were hosting, but you didn't mind, if you didn't do something you feared the butterflies in your stomach would consume you. You get in your limo and driving past you already see fans lining up, hoping to see their idols. You see a sign from one of your fans, you giggled and nearly blushed, no matter how long you had been a singer seeing fans was always the most surreal experience ever. You see lots of signs but one catches your eye;

With hearts all around it. Then it's struck you, you would actually be meeting them later. You nearly squealed, but then got nervous would you remember Korean when you saw them? What if you got nervous and forgot everything? You decided to go through a conversation in your head in Korean.

As nervous as you were the boys were worse, they had recently got informed that they would be interviewed by you. They had been fans of yours for the longest whenever they were driving anywhere it's your songs that would be blasting through the radio. Jin was freaking out because he couldn't find his tie, Tae was wearing one shoe looking frantically for the others, Jungkook was reciting the English alphabet and Jimin was in the bathroom fixing his hair. The stylist Noonas were chasing them trying to calm them down and get them ready for the Magenta Carpet.

You had finally arrived at the entrance where you saw your co-hosts Vanessa Hudgens and Ludacris, Vanessa saw you a huge grin on her face before hugging you. You hugged her back and then inspected each other's dresses, “You look so good!” Vanessa said excitedly, you thanked her before complimenting her. You guys talk until it's minutes away from the beginning of the Magenta Carpet event.

The event was pretty uneventful (hah) until you saw BTS walking up the carpet. At least you didn't have butterflies anymore, you now had a herd of wild elephants rampaging in your stomach. You swallowed the saliva that had built up as you waved at them with a practiced smile. They walked towards you after getting their pictures taken. They must've been informed of your interview. The camera crew told you that you had a minute before you went live so you decided to introduce yourself, “Hi, I’m Y/N it's great to meet you guys! I'm a big fan of you guys,”

Namjoon nodded before quickly translating for the boys, “Y/N says she is a fan of ours!” They looked surprised, “Tell her we’re big fans of her too!” Taehyung said excitedly. You tried to hide a smile, you could understand exactly what they were saying but decided to keep it a surprise for the interview. “We are huge fans of yours as well,” Namjoon translated, you smile, “I'm honored!”

“30 seconds till we're live,” the crewman says. You nod in acknowledgment. You get the mic and they stand facing the camera. The cameraman puts his hand up counting down on his fingers. “Hello everyone, I'm here today with the amazing, history makers; BTS!!”

Namjoon says, “Hello we are BTS,” you ask them questions, Namjoon translates flawlessly but finally your time has come, “Ok last question before we go,” They all nod, “So, far how are you guys liking your time here in America?” They all looked shocked that you spoke in Korean, you chuckle. “Let me quickly translate what I said, I asked about their time here in America, but I asked it in Korean,” J-Hope looks at you before saying, “So you can speak Korean? Did you understand us the whole time?” You nod,

“Yes, I could understand you the whole time!” They look at each other shocked again. You turn to the camera, “They are surprised that I can speak Korean, but anyway that's all the time we have for now. But look forward to more BTS on the Magenta Carpet, see you soon.” You finish and continue smiling at the camera until he says that we aren't live. You breathed a sigh of relief, “I hate interviews they make me so bored, but that was really fun! I'm glad I got to interview you guys,” They smile at you,

“We didn't know you could speak Korean?” J-Hope says excitedly, you grin at him and shrug your shoulders, “I don't have to be on the Magenta Carpet anymore so you guys wanna go in together? I wanna talk to you guys a little more, if that's ok with you guys?” They all nod and you walk in together, the actual show only starts in an hour so you could sit with them until you had to go present.

You guys got along really well and you were a bit sad when you were told that you had to get ready for the start of the show. You waved, “See you guys after the show! You guys are coming to the after party, right?” They look a bit unsure, “Don't worry guys, you don't have to talk anyone and if someone starts talking RM and I can translate!” That seems to ease them a little, someone taps your shoulder, “20 minutes till show starts!” You nod and take the mic from his hand.

“Bye guys see you after!” You say as you leave to get into position, you stand next to Vanessa and then the show starts.

The show went wonderfully and went by really quick before you could blink it was over. The after party had begun, but you were changing your long dress to a dress better fit for dancing. You quickly finished and went to the venue, when you got there you craned your neck looking for the boys. You saw them talking to the Chainsmokers, they seemed happy. You were about to walk over to them when you saw Nicki Minaj. She turned to look at you and a smile appeared on her face you rushed over to her and hugged her. You briefly talked about the night, but you quickly excused yourself to go talk to the boys. “Hi guys!” They turn to look at you and smile. You smile back, excited you could talk to them again. “Y/N!” Taehyung exclaims happily. Suga even spares a smile. “Are you guys enjoying the party?” They nod their heads, “We have gotten to meet so many people we admire, people we look up to and they actually know who we are and want to talk to us and congratulate us, it's an amazing experience,” Namjoon says.

“I usually don't enjoy these after parties but this one seems like it's gonna be fun, I mean I get to talk to you guys!” You exclaim.

The party seems to go by very quickly and before you knew it it was 1 am. The boys had all gone to the bathroom except Jungkook who had stayed behind as he “didn't need the bathroom”. You didn't mind his company, even if he was a bit quiet. “Jungkook oppa why are you so shy? You can talk to me, I don't bite,” You grin at him, he smiles a bit,

“You have been my idol for years and to do everything you did so young! You were why I auditioned, you aided my decision to pursue a career in music. So of course I'm a little shy,” he doesn't make eye contact, you are shocked. Really? He had done this because of you? You felt yourself blush a little, “Oppa, for the past year and a half, you had been my biggest inspiration!” He glances at you his expression unreadable, “I was amazed at all BTS had managed to accomplish and you the maknae were doing just as well as your hyungs!” You looked at him and saw that he was staring at you his mouth open slightly, before he closed it and you both chuckled.

You spent the rest of the party talking and joking with Jungkook. He was really easy to get along with and when you both went home at the end of the party you felt yourself missing him. You face planted on your bed and soon as you got home. You sighed getting this dress and makeup off would be so much work. You may as well start you open your purse and see a piece of paper; it had someone's number on it. You giggled, “ Your favorite Golden Maknae” you added the contact to your phone and would message him in the morning. You took off your makeup, undid your hair and had a shower. The hot water helped relive some of your tiredness. As you thought back on the night you mind automatically went to Jungkook. You blushed, you had barely known him a few hours but you already felt a connection, but you couldn't be sure exactly what that meant. You wrapped the towel around you and put on your sleepwear before climbing into bed, all of the nights activities catching up to you as you fell asleep.

The next morning you awoke with the sun glaring into your eyes, you sat up and said, “Fuck you sun,” glaring at the light peaking through your curtain. You sit up and stretch you arms above your head, you look at your clock; 9:14. You get you phone clicking on Jungkooks contact, cleverly named Jungkook. You send him a message just saying that it's you. With minutes he responds, you hadn't even finished brushing your teeth. You look at the message, ‘Hello! How are you? Are you free any time soon? Maybe we could meet up soon?’

You respond with; ‘Of course I have the whole day off! I just finished a tour so I have a week or two off!’

He responds quickly, ‘Ok, I have a couple interviews today but tomorrow we can meet for coffee in the morning?’ You smile, he wasn't from here so you thought of all the coffee shops you liked. ‘How about we go to this café my friend owns?’

‘That would be nice!’

‘What room are you staying in?’

‘It's room 215 on the 10th floor’ You smile he was two floors below you.

‘Ok I will meet you there at 8?’

‘It's a date! 😉’ you blushed, without realizing that Jungkook was blushing twice as hard, he couldn't believe he had said that! Would you not want to go to coffee with him now? Would it be awkward? Would….

‘See you on our date then 😉’ You blushed saying that and his blush however bad it was before was 10 times worse. You suddenly realized what this meant, you were going on a date with Jungkook! You squealed into your pillow, Jungkook mirroring you two floors below (more manly of course but he still squealed). Since you had the day off you did various tasks around the house and made breakfast. After you had eaten all the breakfast you decided to play a bit of Overwatch.

You didn't last long, people in competitive were irritating you so you decided to watch some tv. You checked your social media and decided to tweet some things before going onto your private Tumblr, it was what you used when you wanted to shitpost or fangirl. You checked and everyone was talking about BTS and the BBMAs, your name was sprinkled around, but there was one post that caught your attention;

“Jungkook and Y/N???

Ok but Jungkook and Y/N need to date! They would be so cute together and they totally had chemistry during the BBMAs!!!!”

You chuckled but saw that it had a ton of notes. You searched for Jungkook X Y/N and saw many results apparently you and Jungkook had become an extremely popular ship, but not only you and Jungkook, but you and Taehyung, you and Rap Monster and you and Yoongi were also really popular ships! You knew that shipping was a thing but never thought about your ships, you curiously clicked on a fan fiction link, an angst fanfic with you and Jungkook.

After about ten minutes you were completely invested in this story, and when Jungkook cheated on you, you almost actually phoned him before remembering it was a story. You calmed down a bit before continuing. It's was only five minutes later and you were in a tears, you clicked the next chapter button and saw that they hadn't posted the next chapter! You slam you hand on the table, “What? What the heck? How could they just end it there? They must like to see readers in pain!” You groan loudly and dive onto you bed, you pick you phone next to the bed and decide to quickly tweet the picture you took with BTS yesterday. Comments quickly flooded in, there were the nice ones hoping for a collab (now that people knew you spoke Korean it didn't seem too far-fetched) and then there was the hate, people saying that you were not pretty enough or good enough to hang out with BTS, but after being in the music business for 6 years you had developed a tough skin. It was hard when you first started out because you were only 13 when you came into the music industry and some how had managed to stay relevant until now. You checked your phone, it was 6pm?! Time had really flown by you didn't know you had been on your laptop that long. You had a text from an Unknown number, you opened your phone and read the message, “Hi! 😝 This is Taehyung! I stole Jungkooks phone and got your number!” You smiled, you quickly saved his contact as TaeTae🐶 and decided to quickly change Jungkooks contact to Kookie🍪. You responded to Taehyung’s message, “Hey Tae-Oppa(Can I call you Tae?)” His response was quick, “You can call me Tae if I can call you N/N” Tae’s nickname was very cute, so you had to let him call you that, “Of course Tae-Oppa😉”. He took a while to respond, “Yay! Talk later N/N! (Bout to do an interview 😫)” You giggles Tae was adorable, but little did you know Jungkook was thinking anything but. He didn’t know Taehyung had taken his phone and gotten your number until he noticed him staring at his phone and smiling “Who you talking to Hyung?” Jungkook questioned. Taehyung beamed, “Y/N of courseeee”

“What!? How’d you get her number?”

“I just borrowed your phone I hope you don’t mind Jungkookieee” Taehyung then stood up and casually walked out the room, Jungkook felt jealous rear its ugly head, but… why? Sure you guys were going on a coffee “date” but was it really a date? Or were you just saying that to be polite… these thoughts raced through his head. Guess he’d have to wait and see.

“Congratulations Y/N! Your album has risen up the charts and is now number three worldwide on iTunes!” Manager unnie announced, embracing you.

Your jaw was still agape in shock, still unable to comprehend what had happened. After two failed chances of debut, your company - WannaWrite Entertainment - expanded their budget and finally, debuted you as a solo artist. CEO L and N might have mortgaged both their houses to fund your promotions but it didn’t seem to affect them. In fact, your CEOs seemed glad your debut was doing well.

It might as well have been a miracle.

You nearly made the final lineup for MAUVE when they debuted but was cut off after you suffered an ankle injury. Your unnies still showered you with their love and support, even telling their fanbase to go support your debut.

“The company has decided to give you two days off while we sort out your new schedule. Go enjoy yourself but don’t do anything stupid.” You rolled your eyes at your manager’s words but assured her you would be fine.

The first thing you did was to search for your MAUVE sisters in the building but found out that they were out of the country to promote in Taiwan. You weren’t super close to some of the new trainees in your company but they didn’t seem very welcoming either. Finally, you settled on calling Samuel and Somi, two of your very close dongsaengs. Surprisingly, both of them weren’t occupied in that moment despite their busy schedules.

“Ahh! Y/N, we must go out and celebrate!” Samuel insisted.

“Y/N! Is it okay if I invite Lee Daehwi? He’s also Samuel’s friend. He’s from Wanna One, he really likes your album,” Somi asked, sugar dripping from her voice and you could almost imagine the batting of her eyelids. Looks like she really wanted Daehwi along……

Wanna One? Isn’t that the boy group CEO L really likes? I should accept this offer.

Giggling, you agreed to meet up with them at a mall nearby all the entertainment companies. Somi was going to treat everyone to lunch.

It had been the longest time you had seen her and nearly cried when she started being all emotional and deep, talking about her debut and then yours. Samuel didn’t have any words and just kept embracing you while congratulating you. At first, Daehwi was rather shy, he hid behind his two friends a lot, blushing, but once all the introductions had been made, you clicked instantly. You two shared a bucket of popcorn at the movies and Daehwi even took multiple polaroids together. You found the younger boy very likeable.

“Y/N, now that you are an idol, would you want to date anyone?” Samuel suddenly asked before returning to sipping on his soda. Somi nodded eagerly, smirking. Daehwi just smiled, running a hand through his hair.

You hated to disappoint but shook your head and waved your hand dismissively. “Not really…but we have to see. You never know who comes along.”

Jisung narrowed his eyes at Daehwi when the younger boy entered the house looking more triumphant than ever. “Daewhi-ah, did you do something? What’s up?“

Daewhi shook his head but couldn’t keep the smile off his face. I mean, he spent nearly the entire afternoon out with another idol he really respected and looked up to no doubt that he was more senior in the industry. Not to mention the fact that Daniel hyung has a tremendous crush on her! Ever since her debut he hadn’t shut up about her! Speak of the devil, Woojin and Guanlin came running down the staircase, phones in their hands and muttering some gibberish. They seemed terribly flustered and nearly tackled Daehwi on the ground.

At the mention of your name, Daniel perked up and nearly sprung out from where he had been lying down lazily. He was fully alert now. Jihoon passed him Woojin’s phone which was still on Samuel’s Instagram page. His eyes widened significantly. Firstly, he couldn’t help but notice how gorgeous you were, you were beaming brightly and glowing happily, that made him cheer up a lot more. After that, he frowned when he noticed how comfortable you were with Samuel, kissing his cheek while winking and whatnot. Then, he realised that Daehwi was the one who had rested his head on your shoulder. Daniel gritted his teeth, jaw locked.

"Oh my god, is Daniel hyung jealous?” Jinyoung teased, poking his hyung’s cheek. “Ahh! He is!"

Daehwi patted his shoulder. "Yah, it’s okay hyung. I can introduce you to her.”

Daniel shrugged nonchalantly but on the inside, his heart was going to beat out of his chest and he suppressed the urge to squeal like a fanboy.

The headline were in red, bolded, as if they were a flag to catch Daniel’s attention. The boys were taking a break from practising for their comeback stage and the news had just been confirmed to the world. He clutched his phone to his chest, attempting to regulate his breathing.

Using his hand Daniel began to fan his face, which was heating up rapidly. Before any of his friends could make an odd comment, he excused himself and ran to hide in his workroom. "Ah! Daniel felt something stab at his heart, it was the knife of realisation that he wouldn’t be in Wanna One a few years from now and vowed to make the best of everything. Another thing also speared his delicate heart, you knew about Wanna One, you seemed to like them too. He felt special.

“Yah! Daniel hyung! Are you in here?” Jihoon’s calls accompanied by knocks on the door shattered that feeling. He sighed but went back to practice, his motivation was to impress you on Saturday.

The shouts and cheers of the fans were already loud while you were in the car but once you stepped outside, the roars were nearly deafening. Your bodyguard and security paved the way to the entrance.

It was chaotic good.

Camera flashes went off and you pushed your sunglasses higher up the bridge of your nose, forcing a smile on your face even though you almost tripped over your own feet.

Phew. I think this crowd is only a fraction of what MAUVE unnies handle.

The second you stepped through the glass doors of the venue, you were scooped off by assistants to your dressing room. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry but this was no new scene for you. At least this time you had experience, you messed up so many times during your first showcase it was embarrassing. Your manager broke off from you but promised to meet you in your dressing room after she had settled some paperwork. There was no time for a proper reply other than a small nod. The assistant grabbed your arms and whizzed passed other groups of idols with their assistants, looking just as hurried. Along the way, you recognised other group’s name stickers pasted on different dressing rooms. It was fascinating to see the well established groups in the same area as you, honouring almost.

“Erm, hang on a second,” your assistant muttered shyly, tapping on her phone and whispering frantically into her earpiece. At that time, your phone buzzed.

Daniel could die happy. There was nothing else he could ever want. His ( life long ) dream had been fulfilled. He couldn’t care less about the strange looks he received, he just wanted to get down on his knees and thank God for creating such a perfect timing, such a perfect first making. The sheepish smile on his face remained plastered there as the stylist began curling his hair. The incident replayed in his head over and over. You had bumped into his chest and at first he too was shocked but the instinct to protect a person was stronger so his strong arms wrapped around your torso and prevented you from falling. Daniel would never forgot the look on your face when you spotted him, he’d never forget the memory of your entire face blushing pink.

It was so adorable!

Once you had steadied yourself, he had run his hands over yours, repeatedly asking if you were okay. Your reply was barely above a whisper but he still caught it. Daniel recalled the way his name had rolled of your tongue, causing his knees to turn into jelly, he felt his face turn hot even while he was sitting in his makeup chair.

Moving on…..

You had hastily thanked him, bowing slightly before greeting the remainder of the boys, their jaws dropping and some using their hands to suppress their giggles. You wished them good luck before running off after your assistant, wishing you had carried a mask with you to hide your red face. There were shouts and cheers echoing behind you which made you think back to Daehwi… well Jisung and Sungwoon’s confession on Daniel’s behalf.

But he’s Kang Daniel! Kang Daniel! Everyone loves him! He could have anyone as his significant other! Why me? How am I special?

You rid your head of the thoughts that only added more confusion and focussed on the task ahead of you.

By the time Wanna One was halfway through their stage, Daniel’s heart had turned into mush and his legs were replaced with jelly. He could see you dancing and singing to their song from his spot on the stage, he was glad you decided to watch some other artists while waiting for your turn. Daniel found your smile captivating, it made him grin and feel giddy like a schoolboy in love again. No matter what, he would definitely be watching your performance.

There was no lying that Kang Daniel, the man who had saved you just now, was attractive. You loved how he balanced out his sexy, manly side with his playful and more childish antics. Secretly, you had been observing the group from afar and admired how close they were. A part of you longed for that bond, especially if it was in a girl group but for now, you were happy as a soloist.

"Y/N! It’s almost your performance. Time to suit up,” Manager unnie hissed, grasping your arm and gently tugging you towards the backstage door. As soon as the equipment was placed on properly, stylists swarmed you, retouching your makeup and dusting your clothes.

“Okay, they’re changing the stage set up for the next act. After that, it’s you. Go prepare yourself.” Abiding by the basic rules, you double checked your sound system and downed half a bottle of water. Just as you were midway through your mental preparation, you felt a tap on your shoulder.

It was a cheerful looking Daehwi.

And Daniel.

“Noona! Did you see me? Was our stage good?”Daehwi bombarded you with questions. “Do you like our concept? Our style? Could you hear me singing?”

“Daehwi, you aren’t even giving her time to reply,” Daniel pointed out, chuckling. His gaze met your own but he quickly cast it on the floor.

“Hello, I’m Y/N. You must be Kang Daniel. I’m sorry about just now,” you apologised, giving your sweetest smile.

Daehwi stomped his foot, pouting. “Ahh, I get it. Noona likes older men, now she won’t pay attention to me,” he whined but had his lips curved into a telltale smirk.

Sly dongsaeng.

“That’s right Daehwi. Y/N likes people who can pull off the sexy concept,” you played along, purposely resting an arm on Daniel’s 60cm wide shoulders. His face was slowly but surely turning red.

“Hmph!”Daehwi marched off but turned around and shot you a sly wink.

“So…..” you started, uncertain of how to break it to him. “Daehwi said he’d introduce me to you. Hi."

Ew! That was so dumb! Whatever, keep your chill. You’re an idol.

Daniel just stared at you, shellshocked and entranced by you. Not just your beauty but the way you talked, the way you carried yourself that exuded a confident yet kind and not cocky aura. He was speechless, breath taken away. He was never like this, especially in front of women! You could hear his friends snickering in the back. "Hi, I’m Wanna One’s K-Kang Daniel. Uh, I-I really think you’ll be a great artist. Not that you already aren’t! But I think you will be iconic and I have been supporting you since your debut,” Daniel blurted out, he was so flustered his mind was blank and he couldn’t seem to form a coherent sentence.

How cute.

“Aww, that’s very sweet of you. I’d love to chat more but it’s almost my slot…so how about I give you my number. Text me when I come off stage."

He handed you his phone with trembling hands, Daniel couldn’t believe this was actually happening. He let out a shaky breath. "Can you sign my phone case?”

Daniel! That was so stupid! She probably thinks you’re a creep now!

You paused from punching in your number and giggled, agreeing to do so. He quickly passed you a pen and you signed his clear jelly case, adding a tiny heart at the end unlike your normal signature. Feeling bold, you saved your contact as 'Y/N 😘💍’ and passed the phone back to it’s owner. Daniel’s eyes grew large at your contact name but laughed it off. “Have fun on stage! We’ll be cheering for you!” He waved you off, beaming brightly.

You had never felt more energised and confident walking onto that stage and assuming your position. It was refreshing. Somi was waving a banner and Samuel was beside her, screaming. You knew Daewhi and… Daniel were watching, you could feel their gaze. The appreciation and love for your fellow idol friends grew. You adored them to pieces.

Maybe one of them in a more intimate way.

Mini Kadi Shippers/Supporters’ Survey Result

I would like to thank everyone for taking their time to respond to this survey. Your contribution is much appreciated. Anyway, this might sound a bit formal. But as long as I deliver the message, aite?

This is a mini kd shippers/supporters survey. I asked a question and collected responses which were consisted of a statement(s). I managed to collect a total of 99 responses in a span of 10 days.

Question: i have an honest question. i’m really curious. who re u guys that ship/support kd? ks stans, ji stans, ex0-l, non-ex0-l, not even into kpop?

Next, I’ve analyzed the data using a simple coding method (use in a qualitative study). I’ve extracted a few important points from the data and divided it into two main categories - Group Stan & Bias. The subcategories were determined based on the amount of the same response

Group Stan - (1) EX0.L, (2) Non-EX0.L and (3) Not Stated Bias - (1) Jong.in, (2) Kyung.soo, (3) Jong.in & Kyung.soo and (4) Others

The unit used in the result is counted as per response [x/99].

1st Category: Group Stan

I think the highlight of this result is the Non EX0.L. Altho it's not many of them but I find it interesting that Non EX0.L take an interest in kd. These were some responses from the Non EX0.L.

º im not ex0.l anymore and if it weren't for kd i wouldn't be here (in the fandom) º just kai.soo-l. im not into kpop or ex.o anymore... i just exist here now just for kai.soo. tho i still go to ex.o concerts but just to see kai.soo. º I'm not a EX.O fan but I believe Kai.soo are dating º not really an ex0.l i literally only went to ex0.rdium to see them both c: º ...I'm a bt.s stan irl º Im an ar.my but i've been shipping kai.soo almost since the beginning :) they are The only ship that I actually believe is real

The ‘Not Stated’ subcategory is self-explanatory. I believe it doesn’t affect the result that much.

2nd Category: Bias

Ks bias and ji & ks bias share the 1st spot on the chart with a total of 33 responses, respectively. I find it quite shocking. I expected that there would be more of ks bias since I’ve only heard many kd shippers are ks bias.

It is expected from my pov that there aren’t many kd shippers that biased ji, which I also find it interesting. Perhaps this has anything to do with his popularity among ifandom? Or they are more of them that ship other otp like se.kai etc? Mybe his past dating scandal affected stans in some way? //shrug.

The least frequent answers fell under ‘Others’; consisted of those who doesn't bias ji and ks, bias all ex0 and not stated specifically.

Conclusion

As per stated in the title, the result represent kai.soo shippers and supporters. This is not a proper survey since the data are varied and I’ve only managed to extract few points when they could have been more. So take this survey as it is~ Anyway, it was a fun mini survey and I also had fun analyzing the data! Click ‘Keep reading’ to check out all of the responses.

1. What is the last movie you watched? I honestly have no idea. I can’t remember. I don’t think I’ve watched any this year. I really do not like movies.

2. Last song you listened to? I’m currently playing VIXX’s Bad Bye on repeat (it’s just so damn soft)

3. Have you ever been in a sport or artistic competition? I’ve been in school sports carnivals but those were compulsory so do they count? I have had artwork entered in an art exhibition/contest before. I didn’t win but whatevs XD My mum has the painting hung up in our house.

4. Do you have any pets? Two cats. My sister also has a cat, and technically she is half parent to one of my cats. We joint adopted a kitten in January this year, and she says she’s going to take the cat, Lola, when she moves out. And I am very strongly against this notion. I refuse to let her take my drooly child.

5. Would you rather have lots of friends or just a few close friends? Close friends.

6. What’s the most recent fandom you’ve joined? BTS maybe? A couple of my friends got me into them around the time Sping Day/Not Today came out. I’d avoided them since their debut because of No More Dream and Bulletproof being really rappy, so I assumed they were going to be a strictly hip hop/rap group (come on, RAP MONSTER?). And now I Regret that choice. I have missed out on so much.

7. What’s the fandom you have been in the longest? VIXX. Even though for a fair while I wasn’t keeping up to date with everything they did, I would check in on them every now and then, and I’d always listen to their new songs and albums. I haven’t bought anything since Chained Up though, since I got into other stuff and didn’t have the funds XD But I’ve been into VIXX since about On and On, so like 5 years. They’re the only fandom I didn’t totally abandon. Most fandoms, once I find a new main interest, I never really have anything to do with the previous one again. But nope, I’ve never really left VIXX.

8. What is your opinion on horror movies? I... do not like them XD The only time I will watch them is with my best friend. She drags me to them. I cling to her in fear the whole time. I am still paranoid about demons and malevolent spirits/ghosts after she made me watch The Conjuring (which I swore NEVER AGAIN) and Lights Out. Fuck that shit. I still can’t sleep in pitch blackness.

9. What languages do you speak? English, enough Japanese to survive in Japan, what little I’ve learned of Korean from kpop and Chinese from my stepmum XD I really would like to become fluent in all those languages but I don’t really have the time or dedication for it.

10. What was the last thing that made you smile? I’m currently scrolling through the VIXX facts blog (I was looking for a really old one and tbh I don’t think I’m going to find it after 4 years XD) and a good chunk of them are adorable and making me squee at how cute these goofballs are.

11. Are you superstitious?

Lmao uh. That would be a YES. I’ve seen and heard of too much shit to not believe in the paranormal. Does being wiccan also count as being superstitious? I guess it probably would. But the wiccanness and the rest of the paranoia about fckin demons n shit eating my face off are unrelated XD

If not then it was probably the stitches on my lip when I tripped and landed face first on a metal toy chest and my teeth went through my lip.
