ੈ♡˳·˖✶ — GOJO x FEM READER
Gojo Satoru likes his girls clingy.

Tumblr media
He lets you loop your arms around his neck and whine for kisses, gifts, everything he has. With an unlimited budget and the deep pockets of a man in love, he spoils you rotten.
Here’s the problem with being the strongest: you will always be the strongest. From the day he was born, there was no competition. Gojo didn’t even have to begin to outstrip his peers. He was simply born better than them.
But eventually, even that level of talent grew exponentially until he went from being simply unbeatable to untouchable. His growth was incomparable, leaving him a lonely god on his own plane of existence.
That’s why he needs you: sweet and soft and demanding. Everyone else had it all wrong.
The Gojo clan spoiled their young head rotten. Knowing that he would bear the burden of the world from the moment he was born and those blue eyes opened, his mother demanded her child grow up in peace. Nothing was asked of him, no demands, no pleas for help.
The outside world relied on Gojo as their saviour, but within the Gojo compound, he was just a spoiled little boy whose mother adored him.
The way he acts within the walls of the Gojo stronghold is a carefully kept secret. He’s as soft as a newborn kitten, hair carefully washed by his childhood nurses and left out to sun in a patch of light. He’s sleepy and warm and mellow, hardly the strongest anymore. Without knowing any of this, you somehow bring that back out in him years later.
An auxiliary manager in training, you first met him when you were tagging along with Ijichi on one of Gojo’s missions. Ijichi was flustered, even more so than usual, at the thought of having to care for a mentee when he could hardly take care of himself.
It only made matters worse that your first mission would be with Gojo. His heart sank into the pit of his stomach, despairing at how he would inevitably fail to shield you from his barbed comments and wicked teasing.
In the end, he needn’t have worried. The two of you turn the tables on him.
Poor Ijichi.
It started off as a way to bully him more, because Gojo could be such a little tyrant.
“Come on, Ijichi. Let her tag along, what’s the harm!”
“You heard him,” you had announced self-importantly, and thrown yourself promptly into the passenger seat.
That was usually Gojo’s seat, but he was willing to give it up for some amusement.
You hadn’t been given permission to go on this mission, but you had insisted. First you wheedled, then you whined, finally you outright demanded. You wanted see the powerful Satoru Gojo in action.
He leans forward, arms draped over the back of your seat. He pokes your cheek playfully as he says, “Oh, are you a fan?”
“As if!” You scoff. “I don’t care about you, I care about your cursed technique.”
Gojo takes your bluntness in stride. Maybe it’s the way your eyes sparkle when you talk about his technique (he caught you demanding details on Hollow Purple from Ijichi once) or maybe it’s the way your cheeks puff out when you pout. He knows you’re lying. Part of your assignment to Ijichi is because you begged Masamichi to be placed where you could watch Gojo work.
It’s easy work for him. The curse is vaporized in seconds. He makes it look so weak you wonder why they even bothered with it at all until you remember that this curse had been failed to be exorcised by a first grade sorcerer who had come back licking his wounds. It’s not that it’s weak, it’s that he’s too strong.
“Anyone up for lunch? My treat,” Gojo says, still immaculate as ever.
Ijichi, who had been standing so close he got covered in some strange muck, not even from the curse but from Hollow Purple cutting through the mud, looks at him suspiciously. Gojo is never this nice.
You have no such reservations. Ijichi yelps and protests when Gojo brings you to a luxurious restaurant in the heart of Tokyo without a reservation, relying on the strength of his name alone. He doesn’t even eat much, content to watch you order whatever you like on his dime. It amuses him, the way you’re so confident about it, as if you know he won’t refuse you.
He won’t.
By the time you order dessert - for you and Gojo, telling him he’ll like whatever you choose for him - he can’t bear the burning question that’s been lurking in the back of his mind anymore.
“Smoke break!” He demands cheerfully.
“You don’t even smoke!” Ijichi says, terrified, as if Gojo is some high school bully dragging him out under another pretense to shake him down for cash. He might, just for fun.
You smile and wave them off. You wouldn’t let Gojo do that seriously, but Ijichi is just so fun to tease. You’ll come rescue him later if it looks like he’s really miserable.
“Alright, spill the beans,” Gojo says, leaning against the doorframe and blockading Ijichi from going back inside. “What’s her deal?”
Ijichi just stares at him slack jawed, open mouthed, terrified, clearly still waiting for some kind of attack.
“Oh, come on! I’m not that mean to you, am I?” Even Gojo can’t resist a twitchy smile at what he’s saying. “Who is she? Where’s she from?”
Ijichi blinks. “She’s just some girl. Masamichi hired her.”
“She’s a right little princess,” Gojo murmured. “What, is she the daughter of a clan head or something? Maybe even the Three Clans?”
Ijichi sighs. “You would think so with that attitude, but she just comes from a normal non-sorcerer family.”
“Her?” Gojo asks disbelievingly. “A girl like that? Impossible.”
“It’s true,” Ijichi says. “I don’t even know where Masamichi picked her up.”
Gojo returns to his seat with a overly sweet parfait waiting for him. You’re right, he does like it. Or maybe he likes it because you’re finally giving him your full attention, waiting with rapt delight to see if he’ll give it full stars.
He thinks he might take you out to dinner more, if it gets you to look at him like that. You might not be a clan princess yet, but he can’t wait to make you one.

Yan!Bodyguard!Cyno x Student!F!Reader [NSFW]
CW : yandere themes / smut / noncon / somnophilia / drugging / power imbalance / oral / gaslighting / dom character x sub reader
Word Count : 2418
As Akademiya students often had to be in dangerous places to conduct their research, some with enough mora hired Eremites to provide them with protection, especially in the desert. You, however, had been assigned to a task that must be performed efficiently within a short time period, if you didn't want to suffer the consequences of the Darshan's wrath. The mission was far too important for the Akademiya, they couldn't take any risks of it failing. Which is why they assigned to you the General Mahamatra, Cyno himself.
During your journey from the gates of the Akademiya to Caravan Ribat, you explained to Cyno the mission, with the academic details he wasn't privy to. Obviously, he knew his job was of the highest importance and what he was supposed to do, but the higher ups didn't think it was necessary to give him the piles of essays needed to fully understand the project.
Cyno when in his 'work mode' might be the scariest but that didn't mean he couldn't relax or simply be nice and polite. In a way, you were his employer and on top of that, you sounded really passionate about your mission. A research project under a Darshan was meant to be heavily impactful, it definitely was an honour to participate in it and be partially credited for contributing, even if it was for a single page.
Nonetheless, this mission was very dangerous. The desert wasn't merciful to those who weren't prepared, blinding sun during the day followed by freezing winds at night. Even if you did get all the required equipment, there still were hoards of hilichurls, giant scorpions but also ill-willed humans, such as Treasure Hoarders and Eremites. Needless to say, no one could survive a trip to the desert alone if they were to be a regular person.
Which is why you were so thankful to Cyno and you did your best to let him know.
After spending the night at Caravan Ribat, you two left with all necessary tools and plenty of food, making sure to absolutely not forget water. You talked about renting a sumptuous beast but eventually decided against it, as you didn't know how long exactly it would take to complete your task once you get to the final destination. Your budget wasn't unlimited so you couldn't take the risk. Plus, getting to King Deshret's Mausoleum wasn't that far away so it wasn't going to take weeks.
Unfortunately, it would take a few days. So while walking through the desert, you observed its golden hues while chatting about your part in the project. Even though Cyno remained quiet most of the time, he still gave you insights and information you were grateful to hear, you had the feeling this could be of great help. He was your senior too, so he knew what the Akademiya expected of your report, quality and amount of eloquently described information wise.
You definitely weren't the first junior Cyno talked to, but he felt pride bloom in his chest whenever you looked at him with such reverence, admiration and respect. To the point that he tried to make the coolest sounding comments.
This meant he also was fighting off the urge to make the lamest (funniest) puns with his whole mind, heart, soul and body. He didn't know if you would laugh at his jokes or if you would lose all respect you had for him. It was certainly a risky 50-50, but he was a gamer. No risks taken, no success arisen.
You were soon arriving at Aaru village to rest. What a relief, your legs were about to seriously hurt after all the walking through sand and dunes. You couldn't wait to have delicious local meals too, you've heard about them from your colleagues who previously ventured out into the sandlands for their own papers.
Candace's welcome was warm and friendly. She was glad to see Cyno again and conversed with him for a while, as you were taking a nice and relaxing bath – still thinking about dinner.
After changing into more comfortable clothes, you met up with Cyno to finally have dinner. You were so hungry you had to gulp down water to prevent your stomach from singing, to put it nicely. Being as keen eyed as he was, Cyno couldn't help but find your little trick cute.
Thankfully, Candace promptly arrived with two plates of Aaru Mixed Rice, cooked in her own way, with utmost care.
The smell was divine. You took a spoonful of the dish and peaceful your mind became. The taste was truly deliciously delicate and its warmth made you feel rejuvenated. Yes, being an Akademiya student sucked a lot but not everyone had the privilege of tasting such immaculate food. Your painful legs felt like feathers all the while you were enjoying Candace's cooking.
That too didn't go unnoticed by Cyno. He didn't have to ask you anything to know everything happening to you in this instant. A subtle smile appeared on his face, but he didn't need to hide it as you were just way too focused on cleaning up your plate.
After minutes of epiphany, you two were done. Candace, being an amazing host, suggested tea and freshly made Candied Ajilenakh Nut. You absolutely couldn't refuse the offer, so you finished dining with a tasty dessert. This time, Candace joined you two for a little chat about your trip, since she was finally done with her daily duties.  Having finished all drinks and food, you parted ways for the night, as the journey was about to get tougher.
In the morning, you packed up once more and checked everything with Cyno to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. You then bid farewell to Candace, after thanking her profusely for the wonderful stay.
You two kept walking and walking, spending the time chatting about various subjects, until you reached what could be a dead end, if not for the frail looking stairs.
“Do you think we should use the stairs?”
“I don't trust them. You never know if they're up to something.”
…
Was that a joke? The weird realisation made you laugh out loud. And Cyno was relieved, because the awkward silence was about to kill him. It may not be the funniest joke, but the timing was perfect. In reality, he missed an opportunity when in Aaru village, but the stairs were looked after so it would have lost all of its impact.
To hide his satisfied yet shy expression, he took the lead and went up the stairs, using his bodyguard job as an excuse. Thankfully the stairs were sturdier than they looked, you two climbed them without any hurt.
The sun slowly but surely hid behind sand dunes, you had to set camp somewhere safe. Fortunately Cyno knew the area and guided you to a small cave near an oasis. The water was clear and the cave could shield you from the cold and at worst, sandstorms.
After you two unpacked your belongings and set up the tent, Cyno lit a small fire with dead leaves and branches from the Ajilenakh Nut tree growing close to the waterbody. Since he got a bag of tea leaves from Candace, he decided to make you a warm cup of tea. You opened a container with leftovers from yesterday and heated it up. You were so glad that a couple changed their plans and ate at home the previous night.
You felt so safe with Cyno. You couldn't imagine what it would have been like if you were alone or with someone else. He was knowledgeable in many ways and he effortlessly defeated monsters blocking your path. Thinking back didn't make you uneasy, you actually felt pretty relaxed.
“Thank you, Cyno.”
That was sudden and unexpected but he silently acknowledged your feelings with a nod. The journey so far might have been exhausting but it was worth it. It definitely became when you started to feel very sleepy.
You excused yourself and hazardously reached your bedding, before completely passing out, still in your clothes. Cyno hurried to you, to make sure you weren’t hurt in your fall, heart pounding against his chest. His hands travelled all over your body but you didn’t react in any way, as planned. That tea worked like magic.
Back in Aaru village, while you were bathing, Cyno convinced an elderly woman to sell him the mixture by telling her his girlfriend struggled to sleep well so she needed some folk medicine, since Akademiya approved ones had close to no effects whatsoever. Obviously, everything was a lie but who could possibly dare to question the General Mahamatra on his intentions ?
Smirking to himself, he managed to calm himself down. There was no need to rush. No way you would wake up any time soon, he used the triple amount in your cup. No one could save you either.
He could have his way with you, however he wanted. The sight of you under him with such a peaceful look on your face made him feel almost guilty, you were just too cute. But that cuteness was exactly what pushed him to make you his in the first place.
He kneeled over your body, hands gently removing your clothes, relishing in the moment. One by one, each of your garments were out of the way, your panties being the only fabric protecting you. His eyes still on your exposed body, he removed his own clothing, leaving his underwear for last. The fun could finally start.
Cyno reached down to softly kiss your lips, while his left hand crept up to your breast and started kneading it. He chuckled when he felt your nipple harden and your breathing accelerate. He loved how pliant your body was just for him.
Cyno straightened his back without stopping his movements on your chest and palmed his growing erection. He could just get over with and fuck you right now, but tonight could also be his one and only chance so he decided to be more patient.
He released your breast and slowly took your panties off, bringing them up to his nose and smelling your arousal. It smelled so divine, you must taste divinely as well. Cyno eagerly parted your legs and lowered himself to your core. Your glistening pussy all exposed to his eyes only was a marvellous view.
Cyno’s tongue leisurely lapped up all around, covering you with his spit. After gathering enough of your slick and getting an appetiser, he started vigorously sucking on your growing clit. The cave was filled up with slurping sounds and your unsuppressed moans.
He felt your entrance clench around nothing. It would be a shame if he didn’t listen to your body, so he easily slid a finger inside of you, pacing it back and forth while applying pressure in various spots in the search of your most favourite.
And skilled as he is, your walls clenching strongly on his digit told him he found it. So he inserted one more finger and kept up the pace, preparing you for his large member.
Once he removed his hand and saw how drenched it was, he asserted your pussy was ready for his cock. He readjusted your legs in a way that would allow deeper penetration and positioned his tip on your entrance. Cyno dragged himself through your fold using your abundant juices as lube. Repositioning himself once more, he languidly forced his throbbing cock inside your seeping hole – the sensation so good a choked moan escaped his mouth.
As soon as he felt your cervix, he stopped his motion and slowly exhaled, looking at you softly panting in your deep slumber. You looked so cute yet unaware of his cock balls deep inside of your tight little pussy. His hips started moving, yet his eyes kept taking in all your expressions of pleasure.
He felt your pussy loosen up a bit, your body signalling him you were ready for more. Cyno paid very close attention to you, thus his thrusts turned animalistic with more craving and more fervour in each push inside. Your tits were bouncing up and down in rhythm and his grip under your knees could bruise you if he wasn’t careful.
Even though you were still very much unconscious, your pussy was talking for you and Cyno listened to every word. He knew you were getting close and he wanted you to cum on his cock, so his right hand released your legs and slid between your bodies to reach your throbbing clit to massage it. This was so effective you almost instantly clenched down on him so hard he thought he was about to get crushed.
Cyno considerably slowed down to elongate your orgasm and ride it off. He thought about cumming inside of you so you would have come together but he had a better idea.
When he felt you come down from your immense high, he pulled out of you. He truly made a beautiful mess out of you. But he wasn’t done yet. He crawled over to your mouth and pried it open with his slicked up fingers. Cyno pumped himself a few times against your tongue and released his seed within your warm mouth.
After catching his breath, Cyno fixed his outfit and proceeded to clean you thoroughly, so you wouldn’t suspect a thing the next day. It only took him a few minutes to put you back into almost the same state as you were before your defilement. As soon as the adrenaline left his body, Cyno noticed how exhausted he was but he didn't forget about his bodyguard duties. He walked outside to check the surroundings, before going back in and retiring for the night.
The next day, you woke up feeling sore and noticed a bitter taste in your mouth. When you tried to get up and look for Cyno, he came into your view with a cup of tea – only tea, this time. He noticed your displeased expression and immediately told you he attempted to brush your teeth last night but he couldn’t, because you didn’t let him open your mouth. Oh well, if he said so. The sun was already high up, you guessed you must have slept in. Strangely enough, you didn’t feel too energised.
Still, you felt extremely lucky Cyno was there to guard you the whole time, or something unfortunate could have happened.

Reluctant War AU Part 3
Part 1 Part 2
More of the brain worm that has taken me over, gonna probably post it to Ao3 here before too long. Already got another part started and so many ideas for additional stuff, someone please send help I've been consumed by this thing lol
Sorry if Waller seems out of character, outside of fandom I'm mostly familiar with her through Justice League the animated show & Justice League: Unlimited and her vibe there has always struck me as "deeply incredibly unlikable character that also kind of has a point but also has done so much fucked up shit in the name of her goals that you don't really care about her point anymore." So you know, complicated lol. If she's completely unrecognizable let me know, but I'm hoping she feels at least somewhat like Waller.
Forgot to say this in the last update, but still feel free to use all this as an overly long prompt if yall want. Literally anything I throw out to the void should be treated as a prompt lol If there's anything at all interesting to you in any of this nonsense go for it <3 <3 <3
---
Amanda Waller was someone who did what needed to be done.
Ruthless, heartless, vicious, cruel.
She’d been called it all. Wore the words thrown as insults as a badges of pride and valor. Because at the end of the day, when it came to the problems she was given to face, the issues she was meant to solve, those words meant she’d done what others had been too squeamish or cowardly to do. Life was a never ending slog of trolley problems and she the only one unshakable enough to pull the levers that needed pulling.
It wasn’t so simple as a matter of greater good.
Greater good was what the weak willed muttered to themselves after having feelings over doing the bare minimum. A justification used by people on all sides to do what they wanted with fractured, faulty logic thrown around like truth was a thing immutable. To assuage their guilt when they were forced to make a call they didn’t want to.
It wasn’t a matter of greater good. It was a matter of preservation. Of protection. Of digging through the filth to find the threats skittering beneath and crush them with ruthless abandon. Of facing a god and not blinking because if you did it could cost the world.
Of doing what needed to be done, no matter how underhanded or atrocious it was.
Hands dirty.
Hands red.
Hands wrapped tight around the throat of something that could threaten to destroy it all.
When the Ghost Investigation Ward had been shoved her way with it’s sucking wound of a budget, it’s bloated incompetent staff, its asinine methods she’d seen a rotted limb in need of hacking off. It hadn’t been until she’d been conducting her inspection, digging through the trash for a few pearls of effective agents she could snatch up and put to work elsewhere, that she’d truly seen what they were working on. The potential.
Potential to better arm themselves with in the forms of the strange new weapons being created.
Potential for threats far greater than anything even she had thought possible before.
The GIW as it had been when she’d first come across it was a fetid waste of time and resources. A laughing stock agency only secret because no one took them seriously enough to look. Made stupid and useless with its own conceited delusions of importance it didn’t actually have. Yet.
She went to work on it. Hacking away as she’d originally intended, but this time with a different goal in mind. She ripped out the weeds with bare, calloused hands and planted proficiency and loyalty in their place. She took over as director herself, tossing the self-aggrandizing fool that had been running the place into the ground to the dogs as the culprit for misappropriate spendings, saving the agency by tweaking things until their ballooning budget was pinned neatly onto the former director as an embezzling charge.
Then she got to work.
The Fentons were brilliant, if entirely insane. But Amanda could work with that. She’d reigned Harley Quinn in - more or less - she could do the same to the two deranged scientists that so eagerly wanted to be apart of the fight against the dead. Especially when the benefit came in the form of the inventions they threw together so easily, especially when those inventions were weapons.
It took very little to get them on board with her plans for the GIW. Keeping their focus could be a chore, at times, but she didn’t even have to really do much in the way of pressing to get them back where she wanted them. They craved knowledge and understanding nearly as much as they craved the eradication of the entities themselves. Letting them have the first look at a new subject here, free reign over a vivisection there, it took so little to fuel their fervor and keep them busy working on the projects she set for them.
Things had been going smoothly.
For a time at least.
Until Phantom.
He’d been the main focus of the previous director’s attention, the big fish he’d so desperately wanted to catch and put up on his wall. Amanda wouldn’t lie and say it wasn’t a tempting prospect, but not one she’d put above the other projects she had set in motion since taking over. No, Phantom was powerful, enough to be a real problem one day, but she could the awkward youth in the way he held himself, the inexperience in how he handled situations. She had time to get everything else in order before focusing on getting Amity Park’s would-be hero brought to heel.
And he would be brought to heel. One way or another.
Hands dirty.
Hands red.
Hands wrapped tight around the Core of a fledgling god and bending him to her will.
An artifact, old an powerful, recovered with some effort. A means of controlling specters, of chaining them to the will of the artifact’s wielder. Dangerous in the wrong hands. Dangerous in the right hands.
It was shattered, and even whole and functional Phantom was resistant to its power. But Amanda Waller prided herself in her ability to see the potential in things. It could be repaired, be made better. Even gods could be bound, be made to kneel, with the right pieces, with the right application of force.
It was just a matter of time to gather everything needed.
Phantom didn’t know he could single handedly destroy every last member of the Justice League. The baby fat, the innocent eyes, the split-second hesitations when he fought. He knew enough to be confident in fighting the usual ghosts that haunted Amity Park, but he still very much saw himself as a little fish. Maybe it was the part of him that was still Daniel Fenton, gangly teenager not quite sure what he was truly capable of yet.
She had time before the Fenton’s son truly became an issue. Time to judge if his parents’ obsessiveness would overcome their - rather shoddy, by Amanda’s estimation - parental instincts and continue to hunt him once they knew the truth. Time to get as much out of them as she could before hand, should they falter at the idea of attacking their own son. Time for the staff to be repaired and returned to working order, to get the other items needed for the truly big fish hidden on the other side of the veil between worlds.
She had time.
Until she didn’t.
Pariah Dark had not been something she thought she’d have to account for - not yet, at least.
If he wasn’t already dead, she’d ring the Ghost King’s neck with her bare hands. His arrival had opened Phantom’s eyes to what he was capable of, of just how big of a fish he was. Worse still, Phantom’s defeat of the war mongering King changed the state of play. Phantom was no longer an impressively powerful half dead teenager.
He was King Infinite.
He was an Ancient.
He was getting on her last damn nerves.
Phantom’s rogue gallery were now firmly under the boy’s control. Still distinct nuisances around Amity Park, but no longer considered true concerns. They were loyal to their boy king, delighting in ruffling his feathers but never crossing the line into treason or attempted regicide. Which meant that the GIW was the only thing that held his attention.
Amanda took the time to send a care package to the former GIW director in his tiny, dank prison cell. As thanks for his carelessness in revealing to the entire town - both living and dead - of the agency’s existence and their intentions. Had he stuck to standard protocol, Phantom would have been none the wiser to their presence. Would have scratched his head and shrugged his shoulders at the ghost that went missing upon occasion. Would have been boredly uninterested in the people his parents had begun working with. Would have been taken by surprise when they finally came for him.
But no.
No that self-obsessed, fame chasing imbecile had to go and announce to everyone and their dead mother that the GIW existed and exactly what it was they were in Amity Park to do.
Phantom knew what they were there to do.
They could only count on his naive certainty that he could broker peace with them for so long.
Peace. As if he and his people weren’t the invading force, the monsters slipping in through the cracks between worlds, the latest threat that had to be accounted for. As if he himself hadn’t rent their world asunder himself in another world, another time. No. Peace was not something they could hash out with this baby-faced monarch with his too-big crown. Peace was the assurance of safety, security. Of control of the situation.
There could be no peace.
The higher ups were somehow surprised when Phantom took that to mean there would be war.
Amanda Waller was not.
The Fentons, as suspected, took the right side when all was revealed. Steady hands and flinty eyes as they crafted the weapons that would be needed for the coming fight. Minds even sharper in their maddened grief, hearts set on revenge for the son lost and the entity that stole his face and friends and sister in his garish pretense at humanity. They were blinded to the reality of the situation in its entirety, the potential in what their son truly was, but at the end of the day it didn’t really matter. They did what she needed them to do, they could believe whatever it was they wanted so long as they did.
By the time the boy king and his armies marched upon the Amity park facility, preparations had been put into place. The base in Amity had been stripped back to bare essentials, everything of importance moved to more secured locations.
The weapons labs.
The artifact.
The girl.
All tucked well away from the front lines where Phantom and his motley crew could not reach. Their time to be put in play would come, but not yet. First she needed to gauge what Phantom and his people were capable of, what they were willing to do in the name of what they wanted. Amity Park was a pawn well sacrificed on that front. As were the other facilities she’d left easy to find.
The problem with making children gods, with giving them crowns and calling them King and giving them armies to play with, was that they thought there should be rules. That even in the trenches tearing apart their enemies, there was a certain level of playing fair that everyone was held to. They thought there was a way the world worked, of how things should be that blinded them to more effective options even as time stretched on and desperation set in.
It was the Dead’s problem though, not hers.
She reached out to the Justice League. Sour faced, unhappy, bitterly reluctant to accept that she needed their help. Stone faced and barely containing their rage at what little they knew of the situation, they agreed to a meeting.
She didn’t let herself smile until she was well and truly alone in her office.
Greater good. A lie people told themselves. A fairytale told to children. A means of convincing the weaker willed that they had no choice, that they had a noble duty to bend to. A belief that could be wielded like a weapon if the fantasy of the idea had dug in deep enough. And there were few it had dug into so deep as the members of the Justice League.
Amanda Waller was someone who did what needed to be done.
Hands dirty.
Hands red.
Hands clenched tight on a victory long in the making.

It might be the week-long migraine talking, but I’m actually quite pissed at the idea that indie authors are wealthy, and that’s why we can afford to do what we do.
Yeah, sure, some indie authors are independently wealthy and can funnel unlimited money into making their writing successful. You’ll find them on Twitter and Facebook groups making pretentious and mind-boggling claims like if you aren’t spending $20,000 a year on ad revenue, you’re ‘not taking your writing career seriously.’*
The rest of us, however, fucking hate those people.
Most indie authors are working on a budget the length of a shoestring. We’re doing most things ourselves or trading skills back and forth in a never-ending cycle of “I’ll edit yours if you edit mine.”
I’m lucky; I have a moderate following on Tumblr that supports my work. My Patreon allows me to set money aside each month for editing and professional cover illustrations that give my work a professional edge. And even then, I’m paying significantly reduced rates because most of the people I am working with are friends in the same boat as me, and we’re all just passing the same $200 back and forth between creative projects.
That I could fund an audiobook (something which typically costs anywhere between $2-7000) on the back of my eBook sales is miraculous, but it also took two years’ worth of sales to do.
And let’s be clear here, I have an advantage over many other indie authors because of Tumblr. Y’all are feral (affectionate) and treated the Amazon sales algorithm like a challenge. You looked at how the system was rigged, sucked air through your teeth, and went, “I can break that,” and then you did.
Most indie authors don’t have that.
Yes, it costs money to produce fiction as an indie author. Yes, some people pay a lot to get ahead of the game and claim success. Most of us, however, are scraping by on favors and the luck of knowing how and where to upload our work for maximum exposure.
This is something, incidentally, the rich fucks who hoard the top spots most likely to earn the most money will never tell you.
They’ll tell you to keep writing, follow your dreams and invest, invest, invest. Which is solid advice if you can because that’s how publishing works. The rich get richer and the poor, well, you know the rest.
-----
*To this day, it gives me no small amount of petty glee to know that for a while, Phangs was so popular on Amazon it broke the top 100 bestsellers in paranormal romance without paying a single dime in ad revenue. People were pissed. That’s like paying for one of the best seats in the house only to have some gremlin saw the floor out from under you Bugs Bunny style.

ayato
If faced with the prospects of going on a little rendezvous to a market or enduring a lengthy cooking class with Ayato, you’d gladly risk the guarantee of waking up with an upset stomach.
At first, the answer to the choices seem almost obvious, you don’t even need to think twice before coming to a conclusion. Why would anyone face the risk of food poisoning in comparison to a harmless shopping trip?
You sincerely, from the bottom of your heart, are thankful and cherish every single one of the gifts Ayato never failed to starve you of, selected with the most detailed and precise of observations and preferences. Your workspaces are graced with the most refreshing pieces of decor, your bewitching collection of accessories is always the most elegant and entrancing, and your wardrobe, perhaps the most elaborative and extensive out of all, owns the most divine pieces of fabrics and fibres too substantial to comprehend.
Frankly, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise when you tell Ayato to lower his budget, which, as he strongly believes, is a sacrifice towards his serotonin. Eventually, through trailing kisses, hasty promises and faltering sighs, you two finally come to an agreement.
kaeya
Kaeya earnestly explains, over and over, that can’t help it, that you should be placing the blame on the sellers for luring him yet again into purchasing. The harsh burden of having a generous soul, he sighs. Can’t you feel an ounce of pity for him? Besides, he truly can’t help that, “there were just so many things that reminded me of you.”
To be brutally honest, Kaeya’s only motive for these ceaseless piles of presents was purely out of self-indulgence. It was quite selfish, yes, but the pleasure didn’t derive from the shopping, it wasn’t to satisfy his spontaneous decision-making when it came to such matters, but rather the gleeful radiance shining from your face whenever he came home with something in hand. How you attempted to reserve yourself and not seem overly excited, and Kaeya delights that he can see right through you.
The only way to understand his strange way of thinking was to picture yourself in his shoes. Would you do the same if it promised such a reaction from Kaeya?
wanderer
Wanderer is the pure embodiment of the phrase, “actions speak louder than words.” Secrecy travels with every move he makes, every action he meticulously plans. It weaves into the reasoning of the most minuscule of tasks when it comes to you; he can’t refrain from it. Striving for perfection entrusts some sort of validation seeping into the ventricles of his heart, before pumping out avid determination, a desire to exceed after each result, one grander and more adoring than the last.
The gifts he pledges aren’t a mere reimbursement for his lack of sweet nothings or public hand-holding, they’re something much more sentimental with enigmatic depth, a beautifully tied bow unravelling cryptic messages that only sweeten as time ticks along. It’s summarised within a few careful judgements, courtesy of his impeccable ability to read your emotions, those gifts are, and will always make your smile a thousand times more genuine than any sugarcoated words or physical affection in the eyes of him and you.
zhongli
Working as a consultant at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor must bestow the blessing of generous income and time.
It’s the only explanation for this growing observation: the handy wallet somehow never running out of mora (though you admit, he can be quite forgetful of it), and the suggested galore of unlimited spare time, which certainly must be the reasoning behind why Zhongli can afford to obtain such bountiful amounts of precious treasures that always leave you breathless.
Quite often, his indulgence results in a slicing feeling of guilt, leaving you in a state of burrowing gloom, overthinking the matter until the idea is reduced to a singular strand of disregard. After all, the little trinkets are simply harmless expressions of love, even if they occasionally overflow your doorway.

just gonna make a fucking. megapost of affiliate and referral links for anyone who wants to support me and also get deals or whatever. i'm gonna try to be pretty clear about what i get for things also.
you get a thing, i get a thing:
Everand, formerly Scribd: read 'unlimited' (ish) books, use my link to get two free months and I also get a free month.
Mubi: it's not movies, it's cinema (it's movies). Use my link and we both get a free month.
Reel Paper: it's bamboo toilet paper with no plastic packaging and so far it's been the only one I like. It's a subscription and also spendy compared to regular toilet paper but I'm spoiled now. Use my link and we both get $15 off.
MeUndies: it's the fucking podcast underwear. I know. I know. They had a Halloween collection and I'm weak. It's so comfy I'm mad about it. Use my link and you get 20% off your first order, I get a $20 credit, enough to buy One Whole Underwear.
Unique Vintage: it's clothes, I like the collabs and am still mad about missing out on the Pusheen skirt. Don't buy anything full price imho, quality can vary WILDLY. My link will get you $10 off a $75 order and I get a $10 credit. Not the best deal but whatever.
YNAB: I was spending too much money on podcast underwear so I signed up for You Need A Budget to trick me into thinking money is real. So far it is the first thing to have ever successfully tricked me into treating money as real, and my debt situation has improved exponentially. It's $15 a month or $99 a year and my link gets you a free month, if you sign up after the trial I also get a free month.
ProtonMail: privacy-focused alternative to gmail, switching is easy peasy and it's free. Use my link to get a free month of the fancy paid version, and if you decide to sign up I get $10 off my renewal (because I pay for the fancy version).
i get straight cash:
Humble Bundle and the Humble Store: use my link to buy some video games or book bundles and I get a cut. Signing up for Humble Choice after clicking my link also gets me paid. This is literally the only referral program that pays me worth a damn.
the amazon quarantine:
amazon sucks and doesn't pay for shit except 'bounties' so ignoring all of this is fine actually. i get pennies for most things. it's bad.
Here's the fucking. 'influencer page' that Amazon gave me. I don't really know how it works. Anyway the rest of this is bounties.
You can use SNAP EBT on Amazon, apparently if you register a card using my link I get five bucks.
Audible Plus, if you use my link and sign up for a free trial I get $5 and if you actually pay I get another $10.
Audible Premium Plus is the same deal.
Amazon Prime Video, I get $3 if you sign up for a free trial.
Audible Gift Subscription, buy one for someone and I get either $8 or $10 depending on whether it's 12 months or not.
non-referral gifts:
maybe you would rather just send me a dollar or some cookies or whatever so i'll put all that here
I've got tipping enabled on this post lmao
Here's my ko-fi
Here's my Amazon wishlist, I have the occasional expensive thing on there because I also use it for things I plan to buy myself eventually
Here's my Throne, I have surprise gifts enabled so in theory you can send me random weird shit as a prank if that's something that appeals to you

Disney: We have an unlimited budget, the most ancient and successful characters and stories in the western world, and access to all the top talent in the universe, and we are struggling MIGHTILY to tell time-travel multiverse stories that are compelling. Netflix: We let Bryan Lee O'Malley make a bait-and-switch animated sequel to a thirteen-year-old movie adaptation of his work that bombed at the box office and it turned out to be a time-travel multiverse story with so much fuckin' heart and warmth and fun you can't help but be charmed.

Add free classes to your calendar this month just in case you don’t have anything to do. Stay busy, stay focused. Work on things like resume building, budgeting, home improvement, styling, etiquette, speech. There are so many free classes. I love Alison! It’s totally free. I know coursera charges a small fee but they do provide minimal free classes. Amazon has free workshops every month. I mean…there’s also YouTube University and Google High (google literally has $39 dollars a month for over hundreds of classes with google certified certificates they gave you!) or look in your area for free classes to attend- Facebook is a huge tool! lol like add it to your calendar even if it’s an instagram live with your fave content creator. The more knowledge you obtain=the more inspired you will be=the more you will enhance your life!
Links below. Love you, mean it 💗

Creating a Chase MD pilot because I want to
This is created with unlimited recources, budget, and cast
Show opens as normal, a person we've never seen before bursts into flames and is rushed to the hospital
After the intro we open on Foreman's office, as Chase walks in and starts sifting through the cases
It is immediately apparent that they are doomed to repeat the narrative, as this first Chase/Foreman scene is filled with parallels to the first House/Cuddy scene. Most notably that Foreman is pushing Chase to up his clinic hours.
It is obvious that they are now very close friends
New team is comprised of one man and one woman, and there is talk about the need to hire a third fellow after the last one left
"Why do we need three fellows?" "It's how we've always done it, ever since I started working here"
The main b-plot for this episode is Chase interviewing people. Showing his House-ness and anti-House-ness. as the episode progresses. Getting some season 4 cameos in there, before he eventually gives up
Chase and Foreman have lunch together in that gay little cafeteria and have a major Hilson moment.
This is where Choreman enters some level of canon to those brave enough to believe. Maybe a little hand touch
So many Australian jokes. In this episode only, then people mostly drop them
As they start working on the case, the two fellows discuss their opinions of Chase in the weekly group therapy session in the MRI room. They seem to overall like him but have some complaints.
It is clear they know of House, and some vague details, but not much
Some Choreman jokes, but not in a homophobic way.
The patient is slowly getting worse, and it seems that they will not be able to save them
Chase has his little house eureka moment and decides to MRI a banana or something equally as insane and they crack it
We have our little ending montage, and we see foreman and chase smiling and laughing as they have a drink. Again very gay. The episode fades to black, this could easily be the end, but it's not.
The team is sitting around the room talking about a new case, until Foreman bursts in, looking excited, holding his phone, and asks if the position for a new fellow is still open
He whispers something in Chase's ear and hands him the phone his face lights up
"The job is yours if you want it... alright see you then"
He turns to the team and says "None of you have triskaidekaphobia right?"

Let's say you had an unlimited budget, no deadline, and a team of whatever creatives you'd need, all eager to work on your vision for the thing and of course all getting well paid from the unlimited budget; if you were making a video game set in the Amber Skies world, what gameplay and narrative genres would it be, and what kind of visual style would it have?
Honestly I'm not sure. I think it could be fun to do a souls style game with roguealike elements a-la caves of Qud but with souls style gameplay. Something fairly realistically styled. Really give that gore the spotlight.
