ok we know the space theme, we love it, but there is SO much potential now that there’s 4.
fire, earth, water, and air.
wands, pentacles, swords, and cups.
also, keeping with the space theme, our solar system is split into two groups of planets.
two groups of 4.

Ohh oh oh if you're still in the mood to do astrology sortings?? I would love one omg. My sun is Aquarius, my moon Taurus, my rising Sagittarius. Venus is Pisces, mars is Scorpio, mercury (and tho idk what they mean, also uranus and neptune) Aquarius. (No pressure obviously, but thank you so much if you do)
Ooh hello there! Yes, I'm still taking these! (Though fair warning to anyone who sends them, I might be slow answering, but I will still do them if you can be patient!)
Simplified:
Sun - Aquarius - air - Ravenclaw
Moon - Taurus - earth - Hufflepuff
Rising - Sagittarius - fire - Gryffindor
Mercury - Aquarius - air - Ravenclaw
Venus - Pisces - water - Slytherin
Mars - Scorpio - water - Slytherin
So 2 for Ravenclaw and 2 for Slytherin, 1 for the other houses. But since the sun is generally of higher "importance" than the others, I'd give the point to Ravenclaw, but let's explore this a little deeper.
The sun is often so prominent in what most people know of the zodiac for a reason. The sun is our core and our ego. It's our life source. For you, that's big Aquarian energy.
Aquarian aims are humanitarianism, and ideals for society and the world. Aquarius is very about the big picture. Aquarius is quirky and a bit analytical. They value individuality and independence. They value uniqueness, newness, strangeness, etc. Luna rocking her radish earrings? Big Aquarian energy. There's also a focus on progressiveness and innovation. Always learning and improving. But Aquarius is also quite stubborn, and there's this very "I know best" mentality, backed by a whole lot of facts but not as much heart. They are very dedicated to a cause. Very openminded. But they care so much about making the world a better place, it can become a bit restrictive.
Big Ravenclaw energy, for sure, with all of that creativity and thirst for knowledge and improvement. We also get some Hufflepuff vibes from the humanitarianism and the willingness to work for a better world. Also bits of Gryffindor for being so bold and and open and embracing their oddities, and those of others. To me, it feels like a lot of passion (fire) in the mental/social realm so I'll call Ravenclaw the major House and give the minor point to Gryffindor.
Moon is emotion and subconscious, here in Taurus. If we look at Taurus being an earth sign, but also ruled by Venus, you can see a clearer picture of what Taurus is. Earth rules the material and the physical world, Venus rules love and pleasure. So we think: sensuality, pleasure, luxury, relaxation, harmony, enjoyment. Taurus is quite sentimental, so I'd look at this as keepsakes and souvenirs. The value of objects not necessarily for monetary value, but for memories attached and the feelings they inspire.
Taurus values structure and reliability. They're willing to work hard, especially when they care. They get down in the dirt and put their own effort into building the life they want. They are loyal and reliable; they will do for others, out of love. They will work to live, and live to love. As in, doing what it takes to be able to enjoy life and have those moments of peace and enjoyment. It's all big Hufflepuff energy, for sure, but I can see the argument for Slytherin, too. That stubborn determination, that drive, and all to have a good life. That can look like ambition, right? And if we think about Horace Slughorn as a Taurus (he really is, though) you can see more of that flavor of...he does work pretty hard in his own way, building connections and working situations into his favor. But that man is working smarter, not harder, and I respect it.
Major: Hufflepuff, Minor: Slytherin.
Rising in Sagittarius. This is reacting to the world with very bright, warm energy; and that's how others perceive you. Passionate, values freedom, openminded and openhearted. Sagittarius is the traveler and the philosopher. It's about experience and adventure and friendship and all one can learn from just living life and seeing what life has to offer. Sagittarius is very fun-loving and wise. Very stories by the fire energy. Sharing folklore and old songs and telling of great journeys. Very easygoing on the surface, but you really see that fierce fire energy when push comes to shove and when you trample on their principles. Big Gryffindor energy. I'll give the second placement as Ravenclaw, for that value of wisdom and learning and connection to others.
Sag Rising places the chart ruler as Jupiter, which I don't know. But we can touch on the inner planets.
Mercury is information, i.e. how one learns and how one communicates. For you, colored by that same Aquarius energy as your sun. Mercury's intellectual aims work well powered by Aquarius. There's this sense of experimentation and exploration in how one learns. Maybe a bit of quirky humor, interest in strange/niche subjects, etc. Very Ravenclaw for sure, still.
Venus and Mars both in water signs!! I don't often see Mars so far from the sun, either, so this is cool! More so with Venus being the planet of love and pleasure, and Mars being the planet of aggression and sexuality. Venus and Mars were lovers in mythology, you know. And to see both in the same element, but different signs???? This is fun to explore, okay.
First I want to share how I see these signs. I have very specific images and vibes each sign gives me that I might type up fully one day for fun, but for now I'll give this...
Pisces, to me, is a mermaid. Swimming free. Chillin'. People might draw very wrong conclusions about mermaids. They're pretty and airheaded and dreamy. Very Ariel. But Pisces is actually the village elder who everyone thinks is senile, but actually has all the answers to the universe. Pisces is the oldest sign in the zodiac, and has a focus on transcendence. It's all higher power, heaven, karma, reincarnation, what comes next, etc. So you can look at this one of two ways.
Pisces is so close to the next life, they've embraced it; they've lived a long life and have seen so much. They're ready for the next step. They're calm and radiant and compassionate and at peace. They are sure of themselves and their readiness for what's coming.
Or, you look at it as Pisces has seen too much. The line where dreams become nightmares. Fear of death, fear of what's coming. Human minds too fragile to really handle such a vast knowledge. So it's numbing the pain; it's addiction and fantasies and obsessions. It's feeling too much and having to handle it somehow. It can be quite creative. Processing those big thoughts and big feelings into music, art, etc. They're compassionate at best, or empathetic at worst. It's a lot.
So in Venus it's this very dreamy, romantic quality to relationships (be they romantic or platonic.) It's taking pleasure in art (in the creation of or enjoyment of it.) It's a love of stories and mythology. Sort of wrapping oneself up in the good feelings and good thoughts.
(I have many feelings about the water signs, oops.)
So as a water sign, Pisces would sort into Slytherin, but I think there's a strong case for Hufflepuff, too. All that care and kindness! That openness and acceptance.
But water signs being so tied to heart and emotion gives them all an edge of fear; that feeling of being too vulnerable and having to protect it. For Cancer, it's defensive; for Scorpio, it's offensive; for Pisces, it's escape. Self-preservation, yeah? Ambition, even...ambition for the next life, for greatness in death. Ambition for what feels good.
Then we have Scorpio, which is domicile in Mars (according to traditional rulership.) Scorpio is the kraken, baby. Dark, scary monster lurking in the deeps. Mysterious, intriguing, frightening. Intense, passionate, obsessive. Laser-focus. Possessive, and vengeful. Scorpio has big scary feelings and it scares them.
Scorpio Mars is driven by having the upper-hand. By learning others, and one's surroundings, and having a plan. Scorpio is the tactician. The magician. Scorpio aims to have control; control of the self, control of the situation. Big Slytherin vibes. But also Gryffindor vibes, in a way. Charging ahead (what Mars gives it), the stubborn resolve, making big fearless moves to guard what does scare them.
There's a good bit of Hufflepuff both from the Taurus, but also the vibes of Pisces. Gryffindorish for the Sag rising and the fiery touch of Scorpio. But the biggest baddest boys in town are Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
So...Ravenclaw in 2 planets, Slytherin in 2. Ravenclaw gets a boost because of the sun. I'll give Slytherin a slightly lesser boost for Mars being domicile. Sag rising gave us some extra Ravenclaw-ish vibes. Taurus moon gave us some extra Slytherin-ish vibes.
I think this would come to a hatstall, but I think in the end the win goes to...
RAVENCLAW!
I hope this was fun for you! Thanks for sharing! :)

the complete guide to astrology - revised
i. introduction
what is astrology? how can we use it to improve our lives? how do we go about studying a seemingly complex subject with such a large body of literature? in this post, i hope to give you guys a solid idea of the basics while providing resources for further reading and learning, curated by yours truly.
to start, astrology is defined as "the divination of the supposed influences of the stars and planets on human affairs and terrestrial events by their positions and aspects" (source). its primary use in modern times is as a tool of self-discovery. this is done through a natal chart, which is outlined below.
of course, astrology is used for many other things, ranging from examining relationships, to predicting the outcome of future events, to even locating lost objects. there are many branches of astrology that each have their own set of rules and methods for interpretation of the chart. i will go into more detail about some of these other branches soon. however, all astrology uses the same framework. so what is that?
***before i go further, i want to note that this guide contains a comprehensive resources section, section v, which contains a lot of helpful supplementary information such as cafeastrology's article on understanding the astrological chart wheel, a full glossary of astrological terms, and various subjects not explicitly defined or covered in-depth in this guide like retrograde planets and interceptions.***
now onto the guide! :-)
ii. the framework
perhaps the key piece of astrology is the natal chart:
Tumblr media
the natal chart is a visual representation of where the celestial bodies were at the time of birth. it seems complex at first glance, but it is possible to break it down to better understand it. in this section, i will elaborate on four components that come together to form the picture. These are the zodiac signs (inner ring), planets (around the ring), aspects (lines in the middle), and houses (numbers on the outer ring).
zodiac signs
in astrology, the zodiac signs are the most essential, core pieces of the puzzle. this is because they represent traits or energies. they are modes of expression. aries: cardinal + fire, enthusiastic, passionate, impatient, childlike, leader, hotheaded, dynamic, quick to react, competitive, impulsive, direct, outgoing, extroverted, positive. ruled by mars and the first house. taurus: fixed + earth, stubborn, patient, strong-willed, down-to-earth, hard workers, sensual, persevering, materialistic, focused, strong, realistic, enduring, habitual, hard to anger, love of nature. ruled by venus and the second house. gemini: mutable + air, chatty, social butterflies, adaptable, flexible, clever, witty, sarcastic, curious, scattered, lighthearted, changeable, multitaskers, jack-of-all-trades, smart, flighty. ruled by mercury and the third house. cancer: cardinal + water, emotional, sensitive, gentle, intuitive, motherly, moody, defensive, protective, caring, empathetic, imaginative, sentimental, passive, introverted, shy, homebody. ruled by the moon and the fourth house. leo: fixed + fire, confident, dramatic, theatrical, warm, generous, supportive, strong-willed, loyal, honest, authentic, loves pleasure, big personality, self-centered, courageous, magnetic, expressive, assertive. ruled by the sun and the fifth house. virgo: mutable + earth, methodical, serious, perfectionist, critical, practical, detail-oriented, analytical, competent, helpful, enjoys service, reserved, sensible, down-to-earth, intellectual. ruled by mercury and the sixth house. libra: cardinal + air, outgoing, friendly, agreeable, diplomatic, avoids conflict, polite, charming, refined, pacifistic, tolerant, craves connection, indecisive, romantic, artistic, hesitant, fair, good conversationalist, gossip. ruled by venus and the seventh house. scorpio: fixed + water, secretive, possessive, introverted, honest, genuine, intense, independent, lone wolf type, intuitive, analytical, persistent, passionate, ambitious, proud, committed, clever, competitive. ruled by pluto and the eighth house. sagittarius: mutable + fire, optimistic, positive, big picture thinkers, extroverted, jovial, loves adventure, blunt, straightforward, open-minded, future-oriented, faithful, independent, energetic, needs freedom. ruled by jupiter and the ninth house. capricorn: cardinal + earth, serious, disciplined, mature, takes responsibility, hard-working, thoughtful, traditional, dry sense of humor, objective, independent, ambitious, reliable, patient. ruled by saturn and the tenth house. aquarius: fixed + air, progressive, eccentric, independent, needs freedom, detached, intellectual, authentic, accepting, open-minded, non-judgemental, outgoing, determined, humanitarian, future-oriented. ruled by uranus and the eleventh house. pisces: artistic, sensitive, distant look, compassionate, empathetic, escapist, intuitive, heart over head, understanding, introspective, needs alone time, soft-spoken, emotional, imaginative, faithful, romantic, fluid, adaptable. ruled by neptune and the twelfth house.
planets
the planets give direction to the traits expressed by the zodiac signs. this direction comes in the form of facets of our personalities. personal/"inner" planets sun: ego, general personality, vitality, focus, father figure. domicile=leo / detriment=aquarius / exalted=aries / fall=libra moon: emotions, intuitions, gut reactions, instincts, needs, mother figure. domicile=cancer / detriment=capricorn / exalted=taurus / fall=scorpio mercury: communication, mental abilities, information processing. domicile=gemini or virgo / detriment=sagittarius or pisces / exalted=virgo / fall=pisces venus: romance, personal style, love style, attraction, taste. domicile=taurus or libra / detriment=scorpio or aries / exalted=pisces / fall=virgo mars: drive, motivations, anger, physical attraction, physical activity. domicile=aries/ detriment=libra/ exalted=capricorn / fall=cancer
impersonal/"outer" planets jupiter: expansion + growth, talents, opportunities, luck. domicile=sagittarius / detriment=gemini / exalted=cancer / fall=capricorn saturn: fears, where we feel repressed/restricted, where we must learn and become disciplined. domicile=capricorn/ detriment=cancer/ exalted=libra / fall=aries uranus: individuality, eccentric/uniqueness, suddenness, technology. domicile=aquarius / detriment=leo / exalted=scorpio / fall=taurus neptune: confusion, blurred lines, lack of boundaries, deception, sacrifice, dreams. domicile=pisces / detriment=virgo / exalted=cancer / fall=capricorn pluto: transformation, raw power, death, secrets. domicile=scorpio / detriment=taurus / exalted=aquarius / fall=leo
planets in their domicile or exalted sign are said to be strong, while planets in their detriment or fall sign are weak. stronger planets express themselves much more naturally. weaker planets can bring problems into the individual's life, especially if poorly aspected.
aspects
the next step is the aspects, which is the interaction between these facets of our personality and how easily we express them. positive aspects are marked green, negative are marked red. conjunction (0°): the unification of two planets that allows their energies to merge and be expressed as one. square (90°): tension between two planets that creates conflict or patterns of avoidance. opposition (180°): tension between two planets that results in conflict or patterns of projection. quincunx (150°): completely different energies that are unable to be integrated or properly managed. trine (120°): two planets that mesh well together, often manifesting as a talent or skill within the individual. sextile (60°): two planets with energy so similar they are seamlessly and effortlessly expressed together.
houses
finally, the houses represent the stage where all of this expression occurs in our external life. first (ascendant, ASC): first impressions, physical appearance, the vibe we give off, our view/philosophy of life. second: our values, sense of self-worth and confidence, money, physical possessions. third: communication style, early education, siblings, neighbors and neighborhood, thinking patterns, short trips. fourth (imum coeli, IC): home, family, the house, early life + childhood, background, roots, memories, father figure. fifth: self-expression, creativity, hobbies, interests, children, pleasure, short-term relationships. sixth: physical health, daily routine, coworkers, job, pets, service to others. seventh (descendant, DSC): marriage, spouse, long-term relationships, other people. eighth: shared resources, inheritances, death, transformation, crisis, hidden things. ninth: higher education, travel, foreign/distant places, diversity, expansion and growth. tenth (midheaven, MC): career, reputation, online persona, success, goals for the future, mother figure. eleventh: groups and organizations, the wider collective, our friend group, wishes and aspirations. twelfth: losses, grief and sorrow, subconscious or unconscious things, confusion, lack of boundaries, sacrifice.
iii. the interpretation process + notes
to interpret a natal chart, i have a specific process that i utilize. i will outline it in this section, giving notes along the way where i see fit. there are many ways of interpreting charts, however, so use this more as a guide than a hard and fast rule.
✨the process ✨
look at the chart as a whole, taking notice of: a. planets clustered together in one sign/house (note: 3+ planets in a house is called a stellium) b. planets "sitting on/"conjunct the angles (1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th) c. lone planets that are just sitting by themselves d. completely empty houses e. major aspect patterns, such as the t-square, grand trine, etc.
next, look at the sign of the ascendant and determine the chart ruler a. examine the condition of both, such as major aspects (aspects of 5° or less)
check out the sun's sign, house, and major aspects
do the same for the moon, and consider the relationship it has to the sun
next, check out the sign, house, and major aspects of the three other personal planets
look at the three other angles: the IC, DSC, and MC to determine their condition
look at the house and any major aspects to personal planets for the outer planets
find the lord of any empty houses and determine what house it sits in, as well as its condition there
finally, any asteroids or minor bodies of interest a. typically these only influence the individual if they make an aspect to the personal planets or angles, like outer planets
some other things to take into account: which element/planet/sign is dominant in the chart, where the ruler of each house sits, are there planets at 0° or 29°, degree theory, midpoints, and planets in retrograde.
iv. other chart types
so far, i've exclusively been talking about the natal chart. however, there are several chart types with other purposes ranging from examining the compatibility of two people, to predicting what might occur in the year ahead, to even answering questions. i'll give a brief run-down of some of them here:
solar return: a chart drawn for the exact moment the sun returns to the sign and degree it was at when you were born. it is said to represent what will occur in the year ahead.
synastry: this chart examines the relationship between two people by seeing how both of their charts interact with each other. it is a representation of how they affect each other.
composite: like the synastry chart, a composite looks at the relationship between two people. it does this by creating a chart of the midpoints between the placements of their charts. it is a representation of the relationship itself and what it's like.
progressed: a chart that shows how a person's personality and life circumstances change over time, calculated by adding one day to your birthday for every year of your life.
draconic: a chart that supposedly represents your "true nature," which is who you were before your life experiences. it works by setting the north node to aries and adjusting every other placement accordingly.
transit: this is simply a chart of what the sky looks like on any given day. this can be compared to a natal chart to see what influences are acting on an individual or to examine long-term trends.
these are by no means all of the chart types, or even the most important, but they are the most common ones you will see discussed here. furthermore, every chart type uses the same framework and many of the same rules in regards to interpretation, making them extremely valuable tools to have in your toolset!
v. resources
below here is a list of websites, articles, tools, etc. that are extremely helpful for learning astrology. every single resource in this list is 100% approved by me, and i have used or read through all of them myself, many of which i still refer back to now. there are also resources that go more in-depth about some of the topics mentioned in this guide, if you're confused or want to know more. feel free to take a peek!

Zodiac the Planets
Some of my knowledge on the planets. If any of this is wrong please let me know so I can fix it!
THE SUN
The Sun is the most powerful body in Astrology's sky. It influences the way we express ourselves, our overall energies, and our broad personalities. It is the planet of expression, energy, and ego. The sun sign is our identity.
THE MOON
The moon is the heart of the natal chart. It's our emotional body, our instinctive knowing, our inner world. It represents our needs, feeling, and security. The moon is the deep core within us. It is the emotions, memories and inner self.
MERCURY
Mercury is the translator and shows how you know what you know. Mercury is your lens, and the shape you give reality. It determines how you make sense of your world, formulate ideas and share them with others. Your speech patterns, communication style, sense of humor, quickness of thought. It is the way we think.
VENUS
Venus rules our sentiments, what we value, and the pleasure we take in life. Grace, charm, and beauty are all ruled by Venus. Through Venus, we learn about our tastes, pleasures, artistic inclinations, and what makes us happy. We look to Venus in the natal chart to see how we approach relationships of the heart, as well as what gives us pleasure. This planet concerns itself with love, romance and harmony in our emotional attachments, marriages, friendships and other unions (like business partnerships). It is how we love.
MARS
Mars is the planet of energy. It reigns over willpower and the urge to violence or wild activity. Additionally, Mars symbolizes movement, freedom, vitality, masculinity, struggle, action and war. This planet rules our initiative, drives and action. The position of Mars in the natal chart by sign, house or aspect describes ‘how’ and ‘where’ you direct your energy and what motivates you as well as how aggressive and competitive you are. It is bravery and courage.
JUPITER
Jupiter in astrology represents the urge to expand and grow, to resolve the uncertainties of life by connecting with faith in a higher power. It shows those spheres of daily living in which you naturally feel lucky, expansive and generous. The challenge of Jupiter is to not indulge in excess or be careless, but to remain modest, sensible and grateful even in the midst of good luck and easy success. It is abundance, generosity, positivity and luck.
SATURN
Where Jupiter represents expansion, Saturn represents the opposite: reduction, limitation. Both are indispensable. Limits mark transitions and indicate what the extreme limit is. Saturn is the symbol of those limits in life that cannot be crossed. When Saturn is well situated in the birth chart, the individual is sparingly, diligent, persevering, reliable, stable, patient and possesses the ability to concentrate. Saturn is also the planet of strict justice. It is conservative and practical and affects the physical life elements; it indicates career and ambition. It is discipline, commitment, and challenges
URANUS
Uranus is known in astrology as the "Awakener," since its aspects and transits bring sudden changes and shocks.the energies of Uranus are electric and crammed with change. Uranus is forward-looking. It balks at tradition and celebrates originality and individuality. Uranus is associated with technology, innovation, discovery, and all that is progressive. It is change and individuality
NEPTUNE
Neptune is considered a planet of inspiration, dreams, psychic receptivity, illusion, and confusion. Neptune rules spirituality, and all things subtle. On the up side, Neptune is associated with intuition and spiritual enlightenment. As well, it is a planet of mercy and compassion. The more negative manifestations of Neptune include deception, trickery, deceit, guilt, and addiction. It is healing, intuition, and spiritual awareness
PLUTO
In Astrology, the energies of Pluto are transforming. Pluto represents subconscious forces, ruling all that is “below the surface”. On the up side, Pluto is associated with renewal and rebirth. It represents endings and new beginnings, as well as spiritual growth and rebirth. Negative expression of Pluto is an obsessive desire for power and control and general destructiveness. It is power, transformation, and destiny.

Okay--I'd LOVE to hear how you came up with those astrological signs for the boys! Tell us, please! ^_^
AND I SHALL !!!
Something I like to do usually when creating characters - or simply trying to come up with a “fleshed out” personality for existing characters, is that I often go read astrological signs’ descriptions. Often those things are very cliché and don’t really make a lot of sense, but it is a good baseline for expanding on character development.
Leo
Capricorn (Dec.22 - Jan.19) (I personally HC that his birthday is in January)
“ Smart, hardworking, and fully in control of their destiny, a Capricorn will always get what they set their mind to, in both personal and professional life—no excuses. Capricorns may get a reputation as stubborn, but they simply know what they want, and also know how they wish other people would behave. Natural rule-followers, Capricorns thrive on order and love strict rules, hierarchies, and set ways to do things. Can a Capricorn think outside the box? Yes, they can, but they prefer when they have strict boundaries to constrain against—free reign can make them feel paralyzed by choice. “ (source)
“ Capricorn’s personality traits are derived from its receptive, feminine, or yin qualities, making this sign oriented toward contemplation and engagement with inner awareness. Alive in both a Capricorn woman or Capricorn man, those born with the Sea-Goat as their rising, sun, or moon sign have a discipline, masterful, and determined energy in the core of their personality; an echo of the resilience and resourcefulness needed to survive the cold season of their birth. As a cardinal sign, Capricorn holds the qualities of being an achiever, a builder, and a climber, able to set and conquer the loftiest goals one step at a time. Those born with the sign of the Sea-Goat prominent in their charts are great at being determined, consistent, and reliable. They often over-deliver on their promises and take their honor and public reputation very seriously. Ruled by Saturn, the primary Capricorn strengths can be found in their perseverance, longevity, and focused self-mastery. Coolheaded and down to earth, they have strong powers of discernment. They are often good Saturnian judges of character and can be approached for pragmatic advice and a fair verdict.Ruled by Saturn, the Sea-Goat does not shy away from commitment, but rather requires it of their friends, business partners, and lovers before they can fully trust. As a result, your Sea-Goat friend may be one of your most loyal allies, unless of course, you cross them in a business deal.Capricorns may not be seeking fame or glamour in the obvious sense, yet are known for their enduring beauty and classic elegance. Those born under the Sea-Goat are old souls who traditionally are understood to age in reverse. They usually begin life with the weight of the world on their shoulders that they gradually learn to let go of over the years. Humor is one of Capricorn’s most underrated strengths, which is an important source of their resiliency.Natives from this sign see the world with a pragmatic and sober eye, so have long ago made their peace with the shadows of mortality and human frailty. It is this shadow and frailty that they seek to laugh with, developing a dark, rueful humor to help them survive and endure. “ (source)
Raph
Cancer (Jun.21 - Jul.22) (Can we HC that his birthday is on July 4th x’D yes? Yes.)
“ Emotional, intuitive, and practically psychic; ruled by the moon and characterized by the crab, Cancer has so much going on in its watery depths. Cancers may seem prickly and standoffish at first meeting, once they make the decision to become friends with someone, that person has a friend for life. Most Cancers have been called psychic at some point, and with good reason—Cancer can often intuit relationships, ideas, and motivations before anyone has actually spoken. That can make for challenging interactions with this sign—Cancer hates small talk, especially when it contains white lies (like saying, "How nice to see you!" when it's clear that both parties would rather avoid each other). That's why social gatherings can be overwhelming for Cancers. They'd much rather spend time in small groups where everyone is on the same page. “ (source)
“Ruled by the moon, Cancer’s archetypal traits are derived from its receptive, feminine, or yin qualities, making this sign oriented toward contemplation, and engagement with inner awareness. Alive in both a Cancer woman or Cancer man, those born with the Crab as their rising, sun, or moon sign have a sensitive, intuitive, and protective awareness in the core of their personality; an echo of the life-supporting and sustaining energies of the Summer season. As a cardinal sign, Cancer takes leadership in the roles of being a nurturer, host, protector, and caretaker. Those born with the sign of the Crab prominent in their charts are focused on forming and maintaining family ties. They are naturally empathic, sentimental, and home-loving by nature. The primary Cancer strengths can be found in their kind, giving, and sympathetic natures. Always ready to host, and set a table, they can be counted on to feed and care for friends, family, and any weary traveler that stays in their home. With strong empathic powers and talents for healing, Cancer natives can sense what others need, often long before they have articulated it themselves. The famous sideways walk of the Crab can be observed in the cautious way a Cancer native enters a space or social gathering. They tend to come in quietly, carefully surveying their surroundings, before they open and reveal their whole selves. This protective instinct makes Cancerians good at reading the emotional tone in a room, helping them anticipate danger or crisis early. “ (source)

Libra (Sep.23 - Oct.22) (I HC his birthday in October)
“ Intelligent, kind, and always willing to put others before themselves, Libras value harmony in all forms. Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, Libra adores a life that looks good. As the master of compromise and diplomacy, Libra is adept at seeing all points of view, and excels at crafting compromises and effecting mediation between others. This sign has a rich inner life yet loves other people, and they're always happiest with a large group of friends, family, and coworkers on whom they can count. An air sign, Libra can often be "up in the clouds," and while he or she is amazing at making big plans, follow through can be tricky. Working with detail-oriented signs, like Virgos or Capricorns, can help Libras actually manifest their dreams into reality, especially in the workspace. But don't call out Librans for daydreaming—their imagination is one of their biggest assets, and they often put their imagination to work by finding careers in the arts or in literature. “ (source)
“ Libra’s archetypal traits are derived from its active, masculine, or yang qualities, making this sign oriented toward engagement with the outer world. Alive in both a Libra woman or Libra man, those born with the planet of love as their rising, sun, or moon sign have an equanimous energy in their core personality. As a cardinal air sign, Libra holds the qualities of social initiation and leadership. This makes those with Libra prominent in their charts great at pioneering social projects and gatherings, and naturals at unifying their team, family, or community.Natives from this sign can be thought of as “the diplomats” of the zodiac, acting as active mediators and negotiators in any crisis or challenge. Being ruled by the planet of pleasure and attraction, Libra is usually quick to forgive and eager to smooth out differences so that everyone can get back to enjoying the finer aspects of life. Libra’s great strengths can be found in their ability to embody Venus’ loving, healing, and balancing traits. These folks will likely have the ability to put others first for the sake of everyone’s comfort and well-being. They are great communicators and listeners, fairly weighing all sides of an argument and another’s point of view. Libras are likely to not hold grudges, as it can take a lot to rouse and sustain their anger. Being very Venusian, they typically assume the best intentions in others and give most people many chances to redeem themselves. In addition to these folks’ great relational strengths, there are also their keen aesthetic sensibilities to consider. Not only will this make sun sign Librans very creative, it will make them attuned to the subtleties of atmosphere and harmonious environments. They are naturally curious about how the aesthetics of our adornments and surroundings can set the tone for our well-being and social interactions. Keeping the peace and maintaining poise, grace, and charm are strengths that can be relied on from these natives. “ (source)

Pisces (Feb.19 - Mar.20) (I HC his birthday in March)
“ Smart, creative, and deeply intuitive, Pisces can be close to psychic. Pisces feel things deeply, and have incredibly strong gut reactions. A Pisces "knows" things from deep within, and can often judge whether a person or situation is good or bad. That doesn't mean a Pisces ignores the logical part of their brain, though. Deeply intelligent, Pisces have a profound respect for the power of the human mind. Is it a surprise that Albert Einstein was a Pisces? Pisces may seem quiet but they are incredibly strong and have a very strong sense of right and wrong. Their moral compass, along with their gut, guides them well. When a Pisces speaks up, people listen. Pisces tend to take in everything around them, and they are great people to ask for advice on pretty much anything. While Pisces has strong convictions about the best way for them to live, they have a "live and let live" approach when it comes to others, and are accepting and nonjudgmental of all. “ (source)
“ As a mutable sign, Pisces holds adaptive, fluid, and shape-shifting qualities. Those with the sign of the Two Fishes prominent in their charts are sensitive seekers who have the potential to bring a soulful, healing energy to their relationships and communities. The primary Pisces’ strengths can be found in their tender, sympathetic, and receptive natures. Naturally compassionate and empathic, Pisces are wired to offer spiritual and artistic gifts to the world. These are the poets, musicians, painters, and intuitive counselors in our communities. With Jupiter’s influence on the faith, belief, and sense of higher purpose, Pisceans can be counted on to offer help and healing support to anyone who is in need. These natives tend to drift through life on their schedule and follow an inner sense that life is unfolding as it should.Idealistic and imaginative, those born under the Two Fishes’ sign have an otherworldly quality to them and seem to retain a sense of innocence and wonder their whole lives. These natives often believe in the good of others and will likely give the benefit of the doubt. “ (source)

Zodiac Legacy Challenge - Updated for Island Living/Get Famous
As someone who is definitely a nerd of zodiacs, i read charts and have studied the history of astrology and all you can imagine, i became super super excited to see this type of challenge, to combine the best of both worlds; sims and zodiac signs! i wanted to make it perfect, i updated the same challengue so as the person before me did, and i kept some of the characteristics because this challengue’s been made before and its on youtube already, they were fun and pretty accurate to play. The order also stars along with the history of astrology itself! Aries. the newborn baby.
The story of astrology tells the story of the “growth” of a human race, and ourself as individuals are represented by 12 signs in each of our lifetime ages.
The story beggins with the first house of fire, Aries, the first explosion and sparkle energy, as it grows the comes the love of taurus, the sedentary life, the venus, then the knowledge of the gemini generation and the social skills, as the knowledge grows the emptiness is fulfilled by mother caring nature cancerness, family values and nuturing love. When we are all set the leo factor cames, we all want our own individuality and stardomness, we want to put our creativity and fire flames, then our virgo friend came to balance it out, pragmatic and caring nurse virgo, the helper, the one that saves them all. After that comes balance to judge us all, but in an armonic way. Then deepness with scorpio to erradicate all crimes comited, and sumerge on the deep turbulent waters that neither of us wants to face, then ofc comes the lighthearted saggittarious, warm heat stones after all that ice cutting, and then again the empire reforming of capricorn, hard working, money maker, followed by tecnology as it finest with aquarious, evolutionating of sapien sapien, and then all pure love and spiritual growht with pisces.
Starting out:
This is a 12-generation legacy, each generation represents a zodiac sign and their meaning.
Feel free tu use the cc for each sim,  as you will, as long as it doesn’t break the rules. Traits for each individual will be listed in the description
Custom objects allowed also allowed
There’s different careers options for you to get creative, if the career doesn’t specify a branch or field, you can choose wich direction does your sim take on his path.
Challenge Rules:
- You’ll start out on one of the 50x50 lots or 64x64. The second one brings more difficulty to the game as it leaves you with almost no money to start in. (lot prices varies depending on the town)
 No money cheats
Mods such as MC Command Center is allowed and encouraged, but not allowed for gaining advantage to your life aspiration goal, you can cheat the needs, and some relationships such as friendships as long as its not an especific goal to your zodiac sim, the aspiration needs to be hard work on you as well as the geals.
Cheating the needs is allowed, since the challenges per generation are difficult by itself, but not necessary.
 CC is allowed
If you don’t complete one of the goals for the generation, you lose the challenge.
Generation One: Aries
“As the first sign in the zodiac, the presence of Aries always marks the beginning of something energetic and turbulent. They are continuously looking for dynamic, speed and competition, overcome obstacles, always being the first in everything - from work to social gatherings.
You’re competitive and hard working, and can sometimes come across as a bit arrogant. However, you have a bit of an inferiority complex, so every time your sibling or a friend succeeds, you aren’t too happy about it and always try to one up them. But after a while, you realize that you acting this way is pushing away the people you care about. Can you salvage these relationships before it’s too late and the damage is done?”

Generation Two: Taurus
“Practical and well-grounded, Taurus is the sign that harvests the fruits of labor. They feel the need to always be surrounded by love and beauty, turned to the material world and physical pleasures. Stable and conservative, this is one of the most reliable signs of the zodiac, ready to endure and stick to their choices until they reach the point of personal satisfaction.
You grew up truly appreciating food and what it meant. You were amazed by how a simple meal could bring a family together, and how many memories were made because of that. You were close to your parents and were taught to always stand your ground and share your opinions. However, this caused you to become a little bull-headed (pun intended). You’re super stubborn and don’t like to be wrong, and won’t admit that you are ever wrong. This makes romance hard for you, but you keep trying because you are a hopeless romantic at heart. And once you find that special someone, you are loyal ‘til the end.”

“Expressive and quick-witted, Gemini represents two different personalities in one and you will never be sure which one you will face. They are sociable, communicative and ready for fun, with a tendency to suddenly get serious, thoughtful and restless. They are fascinated with the world itself, extremely curious, with a constant feeling that there is not enough time to experience everything they want to see.
Growing up, you had the “perfect life”: two parents who loved each other, lots of friends, good grades, and a beautiful house. You were living the good life, so why did you always feel like you wanted more? You decide to take a step on your own, leaving your family behind to pursue your dreams in the big city. However, you quickly realize that life is harder than it seems. You can’t find a job you’re comfortable in, you can’t hold down a relationship, but you find solace in entertaining people and throwing parties. Something about being a host really makes you feel happy.
Traits: Noncommittal, Outgoing, Insider*, paranoid, genius, materialistic, erratic, snob, hates children, vegetarian, jealous, bro, mean, active, bookworm or geek.

They are very emotional and sensitive, and care deeply about matters of the family and their home. Cancer is sympathetic and attached to people they keep. They are very loyal and able to empathize with other people's pain and suffering.”
In another life you would have become a doctor, but in this one you are content with looking after your family and making sure your children grow up the best they can. You’re a loving but strict parent, and just want what’s best for your children. However, will you push them away by being too overbearing?”

“People born under the sign of Leo are natural born leaders. They are dramatic, creative, self-confident, dominant and extremely difficult to resist, able to achieve anything they want to in any area of life they commit to. There is a specific strength to a Leo and their "king of the jungle" status. Leo often has many friends for they are generous and loyal. Self-confident and attractive, this is a Sun sign capable of uniting different groups of people and leading them as one towards a shared cause.
Your parents were so overbearing to you and your sibling growing up that in your teenage years you began to rebel. Staying out late, skipping class, whatever you could think of. Your parent made sure you got good grades, but you didn’t care about school. All you cared about was the spotlight. You were going to make it big, and you didn’t need calculus to help you rock out on your guitar or make the crowds feel emotions from your acting. You’re arrogant and stubborn, but determined to succeed no matter what the cost. Unfortunately, that means that you can miss out on things that are most important in life.

“Virgos are always paying attention to the smallest details. Their methodical approach to life ensures that nothing is left to chance and their heart might be closed for the outer world. This is a sign often misunderstood, not because they lack the ability to express, but because they won’t accept their feelings as valid. The symbolism behind the name speaks well of their nature, born with a feeling they are experiencing everything for the first time.
You grew up without a strong parental figure in your life, which made it hard for you to trust other people. How do you know that they would be there for you when you truly needed them? You’re cautious and shy, but curious about the world. You truly enjoy learning and collecting things, you like to think that the best things of life are hard to find, you fish rare specimen for your food and collect spices is through hard work you enjoy more of the things at your table and by sharing this same passion is how you meet the love of your life (by collecting or at work). They are the only person you can trust, but they can tell you’re always holding yourself back and hiding parts of yourself away from them. Can a relationship last with this kind of distrust?

This can come across as quite overbearing to some people, so sometimes it’s hard for you to make friends. And, despite being such a sociable person, you are kind of oblivious when it comes to romance. You are very childish in the best possible way, and are the kind of parent to get down in the dirt and play with your children. You are a very supportive parent and you strive to make your family as happy as they can be, through whatever means. Unfortunately you can’t become a superhero, but you can become a police officer/detective. You want to make the world a better place than it was before, and you want your legacy to be something of legend. Venus-Uranus Aspects: The Avant Garde
Tumblr media
If your Venus sign is conjunct, square, opposite, sextile, or trine Uranus, you’re the avant garde. The reason why is that Venus is basically the planet of taste. It’s what pleases our senses and rules the things that we value in life. Now, Uranus is a certifiably kooky planet that embraces change and innovation and all things that are sort of weird. So, with Venus in aspect to Uranus, you definitely value (Venus) the unusual things (Uranus) of life. You also value unusual people, as well. Venus-Uranus people are apt to be drawn to all sorts of relationships, saying to hell with convention in romances and friendships. But, your relationships might be plain chaotic, as well, if you let this quirky way of relating to people become flat-out bizarre or emotionally distant.
However, your strangeness is a big part of your appeal, as well. I think our Venus sign, house placement, and aspects really start taking over once we hit puberty. This is when we suddenly become aware of the power of our attractiveness. It’s our initiation into becoming sexual beings. I think Venus is just as sexual of a planet as Mars. But, it’s in more of a sensual, come-hither expression of sexuality. It’s about how we draw others near. The funny thing, then, about having a Venus-Uranus aspect is that, starting from adolescence, you don’t care all that much about drawing others to you; at least, not in a flirtatious manner. Even if Venus is in flirty signs like Gemini or Libra or in seductive Scorpio, it’s rarely your intent to flirt and cajole and drive your preferred sex crazy.
Well, you do enjoy driving them crazy but more so in a mental way. Venus-Uranus people learn, as adolescents, that being offbeat and original can be highly appealing. So, this is the way in which you’ve learned to attract others: by shaking things up. You find pleasure in being the one who dares to be different, going against the “sheeple” in order to be an individualist. And you just trust that you’ll draw other individualistic people your way. But, the aim is more about friendship than romance. Many Venus-Uranus people are quite detached from the yearnings for romance from early on. Venus is our value system and with this planet in aspect to free, independent Uranus, you might value your independence above all else. Yet, this is something that can easily break hearts, as you can remain cool and unfazed by others’ attempts to forge a romantic connection right off the bat.
The thing is that you’d probably prefer to be friends first! People always associate Venus with romance but often forget that it defines how make friends, as well. And friendships are what those with their Venus in aspect to Uranus truly value. Friends don’t make you feel as chained down as romantic partners potentially can. So, your friends are what keep you feeling free, which is what brings you a great deal of pleasure in life. This is often why you prefer for those who you end up with romantically to start off as your friend and insist that you maintain that kind of buddy-buddy camaraderie throughout the relationship.
Therefore, the interesting thing is that being friends with someone (Uranus) is often what makes you fall in love with them the most (Venus). When a relationship goes from zero to sixty, in the romance department, it’s the kind of thing that can freak a person with a Venus-Uranus aspect out. Having one of these aspects can also make you frequently attracted to those who you’ve been friends with for a long time. Therefore, the challenge of moving things out of the friend-zone can be experienced very regularly for you. However, it all depends on how you handle these romantic feelings. If Venus is in a Water sign or in Taurus, you’re more likely to surrender to these yearnings. If not, you can end up lashing out in a defiant attempt to resist sentiment and maintain your cool.
Those with the square and the opposition can have a particularly tough time dealing with the feelings that come with starting a love affair. The conjunction can often go either way, as they might become oddly defensive and distant or they might behave more like the people with the sextile and the trine. These people tend to have a healthy grip on what it means to still be independent while maintaining some sense of closeness or connectedness in the relationship. And this might not just be an issue with lovers but also with friends. You may find yourself keeping buddies at an arm’s length when you think they’re getting too close. Sometimes, it may seem like you would just prefer to be in an exclusive relationship with yourself.

                                   "Walking Alone" by Peter Schoen
With Venus-Uranus aspects, there is usually a love of alone time that needs to be respected without making you cut off from others, either. Venus is where we can be too self-indulgent. And those with a Venus-Uranus placement can indulge themselves with too much solitary time, which eventually turns into loneliness and isolation. This can be a particular way of dealing with relationships for you if you’ve been hurt significantly. You might find yourself becoming less and less emotionally accessible, not willing to become that attached again. Generally speaking, your lack of over-attachment can be a very healthy thing. It makes you independent. Just remember that we all need people, after all. We are social beings and nobody can go at it alone for too long.
But, the paradox of Uranus’ influence is that it is so social, in spite of also potentially being so detached. And you truly enjoy the process of getting to know lots of different people. For Venus-Uranus, the more different they are from the norm, the better. This is what makes you the avant garde. The more something or someone is considered odd or unpopular, the more you’re going to be attracted to that thing or person. Venus isn’t just how we draw others to us. It’s also how we are drawn to other things and people. And the outcasts, the rebels, and the provocateurs just always have a magnetic pull over you. You’re fascinated by the people who shock and awe.
People are also fascinated by your ability to shock and awe. You draw like-minded nonconformists and oddballs your way. Your relationships are often established through a mutual sense of breaking the rules together and being a dynamic duo of craziness wherever you go. Now, your Venus might get off on this just a little too much. So, you might find yourself behaving in indulgently rebellious or provocative ways. Going overboard with our Venus is like eating too much candy. We just end up with a stomachache. Therefore, Venus-Uranus individuals can end up feeling the unappealing consequences of just doing things only to cause anarchy.
However, this anarchy can often be for a good reason. Since Venus represents our value system, you really value treating other people in egalitarian, fair-minded ways, which is what Uranus symbolizes. You see everyone as your brother and sister, not wanting to discriminate against others for the labels that society slaps on them. Therefore, what you’re often rebelling against is the narrow-minded thinking of others. In fact, facing discrimination is something that really displeases you. While Mars-Uranus people would aggressively or assertively respond to ignorance by saying “screw you”, you are more passive and refined in how you give some prejudiced idiot the bird. You’re more likely to just distance yourself from them, peacefully go on about your own way. Yet, I wouldn’t put it past you, either, to eventually flip them the finger or tell them off, if they persist.
Those with Uranus aspects who are considered minorities – basically, those who aren’t straight white men – can awesomely go against the grain of society’s prejudices and fears. Venus is the planet of beauty and how we appreciate our own beauty (whether we’re male or female); and not just physical beauty but our attractiveness as a whole. So, as a Venus-Uranus person, you can find the beauty in being someone who doesn’t fit the societal mold. You can detach from society’s standards of attractiveness or worth and come to fully appreciate the differentness of your race, gender, and sexual orientation. Even if you’re a straight white man, you can still be affected by these ideals of attractiveness, as well. And you can find joy in truly not caring about them.
Going against the mainstream can affect your personal tastes and preferences in many different ways. Many Venus-Uranus folks can be your typical hipster types, only listening to alternative music that not many people have heard of and hating what’s playing on the radio now. In fact, you might be that person who loves something until it’s popular. Then, it might turn you off. You may also be the same way about movies and books, capable of telling people about things you just watched or read that they might not have even known about otherwise. The underground or indie scene is often what appeals most to Venus-Uranus, particularly the ones who are Millennials. But, you might be easily accused of trying to be “too cool for school” at the same time.
Maybe it’s true. You may be trying to just make some defiant statement. For those with one of the harder aspects, this can be particularly transparent, at times. But, for those with the easier aspects, it’s often just an expression of the fact that you just prefer what’s different. Because of this, Venus-Uranus people aren’t usually the types taking style tips from GQ or Vogue. Uranus does not like to be told what to do or think. With Venus in the mix, this extends toward fashion, which is something that I think Venus definitely influences. Therefore, you’re apt to not care at all about what some fashion editor tells you is acceptable or not. You think independently when it comes to style and are prone to experimentation, mixing and matching, trying out lots of different options.
Venus-Uranus people can sometimes dress to shock, decking themselves out weirdly. But, much of the time, you just dress in a way that doesn’t care what others think, often breaking fashion rules. You’ll wear brown shoes and a black belt if you want, even if you leave someone else shaking their head. You probably also don’t care much for formal wear, unless you absolutely have to wear a suit or a dress. Uranus is highly casual so you’d much rather keep it casual when it comes to your dress code. However, this extends to other areas, as well. Even if there are more passionate or emotionally complex influences in your chart, this Venus-Uranus aspect keeps them in check when it comes to romance. Being somewhat aloof yet very friendly can be highly attractive to others.
When it comes to dating, you’re up for anything and the other person must be as well. This love of experimenting extends to sex, as well. The thing that’s sexiest about you is that you can be electrifying and fully enjoy trying whatever sexually. Uranus is a planet full of surprises and you might be quite surprised by what turns you on, as sexual feelings involving kinkiness, fetishes, bisexuality, three-ways, and all other sorts of experimental inclinations can suddenly pop up. Everyone must be accepting of their sexual preferences and tastes, as long as they’re harmless, without judgment. But, with this aspect, you must be especially. If it feels good, try it. You could end up unexpectedly loving something that you didn’t think you would.
Venus conjunct Uranus:
The conjunction gives you the strongest love of madness as well as the strongest ability to charm others with your madness. But, you might expect to slide by too much on this quirky appeal by making too much trouble and wanting to always get away with it. Just focus on being a free-spirit in more pleasing ways, liberating others right along with you.
Venus square or opposite Uranus: The issues of personal space and independence can be overwhelming for you, with the square or opposition. It can become a push-pull game, not wanting people to get too intimate but still wanting to be good friends. You must allow people to truly get close to you. Then, you can be an even more wonderful buddy to others than you already are.
Venus sextile or trine Uranus: Your eccentricities don’t typically create too much chaos, since you have the sextile or the trine. They are usually just endearing and likable. But, even you are prone to walking alone so much that you become out of touch with others. Disconnect when you need to but remember how valuable your friendliness and your open-minded acceptance is to others.

Venus in Your Natal Chart: Ruler of Love & Money
I’ve become somewhat obsessed with my natal chart lately and thought, what better day to share some insight on Venus, the second planet in our solar system named for the Roman goddess of love, than Valentine’s Day? Whether you consider Valentine’s Day a romantic holiday on which you’re able to spoil your partner with love and affection (more than you normally do) or as a capitalistic venture created by greeting card companies and chocolate conglomerates, you’re going to want to read this. Just as Valentine’s Day is considered a romantic holiday by some and a money pit by others, the planet Venus has dual rulership over the signs of Libra and Taurus which means its placement in your natal chart determines your relationship with love and money. How is that for irony?
In all honesty, regarding Venus as the planet of “love and money” is a pretty straightforward way to look at it. Venus rules what we value, where we find sentiment in our lives, and how we get pleasure out of life.
Tumblr media
Standards of beauty, grace, and charm are all ruled by Venus and, through this planet’s placement, we are able to discover what we get pleasure from, the things we are attracted to, and where our various tastes lie. In addition to what gives us the “feel goods”, we also refer to Venus to see the ways in which we approach relationships of the romantic variety. The sign Venus falls under in a natal chart gives insight into how we approach and maintain relationships as well as what we get joy in out of a relationship.
Venus does not only rule over our relationship with love but also our relationship with money. Your Venus placement will reveal a lot about the way you view money, how you spend it, and the type of gift-giver you are. Venus’ position in your natal chart will also tell you a lot about your relationship with leisurely activities including what type of leisure you enjoy and how much time you allot to them.
As I said earlier, Venus rules over Libra and Taurus, but it also exhibits strengths and weaknesses in other signs. Venus is exalted in Pisces and depressed in Virgo. Venus is in exile under Aries and Scorpio (opposite Libra and Taurus) and is never more than 45 degrees from the center of our universe, the Sun. Where does Venus fall in your natal chart? Find the sign and read along to learn more about what Venus’ placement means for you.
Venus in Aries
The Ram that represents Aries is a strong and resilient character and Aries are much the same. The planet of love, as sensual as it is, isn’t even able to tame the fiery Ram. When Venus falls under Aries in your chart there is one thing for certain: you love a challenge and need those challenges to keep coming in order to keep the relationship alive.
Your ideal romance, if Venus is in Aries on your natal chart, is one that is affirmed again and again with touch, spontaneous acts of love, and the occasional bout of bickering (in the playful sense, of course.) Your flirtation style is up-front, no holds bar, and you’re willing to take a risk or two to make sure the person you’re attracted to knows just that.
Through relationships, you may come off as childlike in a “me, me, me” type of way but you don’t mean to come off as self-centered and the right person will see that. They will also see that your relationship needs to be continuously stimulated by action, preferably actions that are as direct and honest as possible, for those with Venus in Aries don’t like anything vague that could be described as “playing games”. Remember, Aries is a solid and sturdy sign so those who have Venus in Aries in their chart want to take the lead in their relationship and play by the rules with no secrets and no time wasted.
When it comes to finances, Venus in Aries folks are impulse buyers through and through. Just like they are attracted to relationships that consistently feel new, they also like new things. Those who have Venus in Aries in their natal charts do best with their money when they mull over their purchases for a few days before taking the plunge. Nine times out of ten the need for that shiny new object will pass and they’ll be in better financial standing in the end.
Venus in Taurus
Like I mentioned earlier, Taurus is one of the two planets ruled by Venus, so if your Venus falls in Taurus then your energy towards love is a harmonious one. A steady Earth sign who loves to indulge their senses, Tauruses are the same in relationships. If your Venus is in Taurus, you’ll find that you’re very romantic but not to the point that you lose sight of yourself or your own desires when wooing your partner.
Having a Venus in Taurus means that you stay grounded in relationships. It also means that you may come off as a tad bit possessive. This tendency towards possessiveness most often comes to a head when the world around or within your relationship is moving a little too fast for comfort. A partner with Venus in Taurus is guaranteed to be an attentive lover due to the planet of love falling under an Earth sign. The steady bull is a great partner to have because they are dependable, solid, and comfortable though they do need a certain sense of predictability to reach their maximum potential.
Those who have Venus in Taurus reaffirm their relationships with physical touch and routine behavior.  If your Venus is in Taurus, it is important to be aware of your day-to-day actions and make sure that your routine isn’t too settled to the point that it comes across as boring. A Venus in Taurus feels the most loved when their partners reaffirm their love for them through words and actions and by reminding them of their worth. Remember that the Bull is a stubborn creature and a harmonious partnership is created through acts of giving and take. A partnership is a two-way street and both people involved in a relationship with a Venus in Taurus will do better to remember that.
When it comes to money, those with Venus in Taurus have a very practical approach to their spending. Instead of spending simply to spend, they spend big on high-quality items that are built to last or necessary to sustain them. This tendency can lead them to be somewhat stingy when it comes to their generosity, but it also makes them superb savers.
Venus in Gemini
Gemini, one of three Air Signs, is all about communication and for those who have Venus in Gemini on our natal charts, your love language is deeply rooted conversation. From winning over a partner by proving their wit through their words to maintaining an interesting relationship with conversations that are engaging and stimulating, if your Venus is in Gemini then your ideal pairing is with someone who wants to listen and appreciates you for all you know and your wide range of interests.
Women and men with Venus in Gemini are often described as “teases” but this is because they simply don’t want to ever feel restricted by their relationship which makes them hard to pin down. And while they sure do love to talk about everything under the Sun regarding their relationship, they tend to skim over the deeper issues in favor of keeping things light and pleasant.
You’ve heard the saying “curiosity killed the cat” and, in the case of a Venus in Gemini, their curiosity can keep them from finding “the one” because they find themselves moving from one relationship to the next based on their curiosity alone. If you’re in a relationship with someone who has Venus in Gemini, keeping it fresh is going to keep the relationship alive. They love variety and this shows in their day-to-day lives. Venus in Gemini wants love and friendship, social graces and alone time, intimacy and space. In other words, they want to have their cake and eat it too.
On a monetary level, Venus in Gemini (the intelligent beings they are) enjoy spending their money on books, the arts, social events, and opportunities to increase their knowledge. They are great gift-giver because they put time and thought into their purchases for themselves and others, but their love of variety can make it hard to make a decision on what to buy for whom and when.
Venus in Cancer
For those who have Venus in Cancer, the best kind of love they can hope for is one that is committed and does not come with a lot of surprises. Cancers, in general, are sensitive and when the planet of love falls under the sign of the crab, that sensitivity is in overdrive. However, despite the fact that their relationship with love itself may be a bit underdeveloped, partners with Cancer in Venus have so much to give and make great partners for those looking for secure and caring relationships.
Someone with Venus in Cancer has a tendency to show their love through actions instead of words. In the same sense, they pay more attention to how their partners are acting instead of listening to what they are saying through their observant lens. This tendency to observe instead of communicating makes Venus in Cancer a moody lover. When upset or in need of attention, they tend to retreat inward and would rather give their partner the cold shoulder or throw themselves a pity party than say “Hello? I need you to need me!”
This does not mean that confrontation from a Venus in Cancer is impossible. In fact, they aren’t afraid of an emotional confrontation at all, but it has to be on their terms. They tend to worry that they’ll be left behind by their partners without warning and this fear keeps them somewhat guarded. Hurt a Venus in Cancer and good luck getting them to forget it even though they will forgive you. The best way to get back into their good graces is through sentimental acts of kindness and lots of physical affection. And when it comes to maintaining those good graces, reaffirming your love is a safe bet. Venus in Cancer will result in some pretty harry tactics to learn how much their partner cares for them, so being consistent in making them feel secure will keep a Venus in Cancer at bay.
Venus in Cancer types are great savers, choosing to spend their money on a special occasion and remain frugal in their downtime. When they do have the itch to splurge, it is often on their family and friends instead of themselves or their money goes towards their home. Remember, the sign of Cancer is a crab and a crab’s home is their most important asset. Those with Venus in Cancer are the same way.
Venus in Leo
Oh, there isn’t love quite like the love from someone with Venus in Leo. When they are in love they are proud, like the Lion that symbolizes their sign and holds love in high regard. You could even say that love is the most important thing to someone with Venus in Leo. Why so? Because they absolutely thrive on love and every aspect of it. From romantic gestures that are sure to be grand to completely honest when it comes to their romantic escapades, Venus in Leo is a planetary/sign pairing that absolutely thrives on attention of the romantic variety.
While you, as the partner of a Venus in Leo, will be sure to hear many a story about their romantic past, they won’t want to hear about yours. Someone with Venus in Leo wants to prove to their partner their affinity for garnering attention but tends to get extremely jealous when hearing of their partner getting the same sort of attention from an outside source. With high expectations based solely on the amount of attention they are getting, people with Venus in Leo are turned off by relationships that have lost their spark or appear to be an act of settling.
While Venus in Leo needs physical expression (sex) to feel satisfied in their relationship, their need for feeling loved is stronger. In fact, someone with Venus in Leo is more likely to stay in a sexless relationship that leaves them feeling cared for than an overly sexual relationship where there aren’t feelings of love. The best way to please someone with Venus in Leo is through attention. Reminding them of how much they are appreciated and even saying, once in a while, how lucky you are to be with a Venus in Leo will get you very far. Affirming your love for a Venus in Leo by being honest when you are feeling jealous and by telling them they are attractive to you will keep them happy. When a Venus in Leo feels loved and wanted they are likely to reward their partner with fun adventures, strong acts of loyalty, and plenty of physical expression.
People with Venus in Leo love to spend their money on a good time! They love entertainment and, when out, will tip big and shower their partners with gifts to make them feel special and to do a bit of showing off. On their own time, they enjoy buying clothes, home goods, art, and music that proves to others how bold and romantic they are.
Venus in Virgo
Flirtations are not the love language of people with Venus in Virgo. Instead, those with Venus in Virgo show their love over the long-term through their dedication and their utmost willingness to work on a relationship when times are tough. Devotion and close attention paid to details are how those with Venus in Virgo make their intentions clear to potential and current partners.
Love from Venus in Virgo is not a quick love, but a slow one that is built over time once they come out of their shell. Sensitive to love of all sorts, those with Venus in Virgo are the type to play it safe and will rarely make a move until they’re sure that their feelings are mutual. Being great listeners makes this approach to relationships easier for Venus in Virgo types as they are able to learn the ins and outs of their potential partners through the patient art of observation. However, their keen sense of observation can also be a downfall unless their partners are aware of their tendencies to nag and nitpick. While this criticism is never meant to harm, but instead to help, it can come across as overwhelming to the wrong person.
The best way to appease a Venus in a Virgo lover is through acts of kindness that show you do appreciate them and all the quirky parts of their personality. This can be difficult because Venus in Virgo lovers are generally doing things on such a subtle scale that they can go unnoticed. But, once you do notice and shower them with genuine attention, they’re easy to love and even easier to please. Taking it slow with someone who has Venus in Virgo is a safe path to tread. Do not push anything too over demanding like meeting your entire friend group at your favorite bar or introducing them to your entire family on a major holiday. They are easily overwhelmed and easily intimidated by large groups of people who already have some sort of connection. Take it slow and steady, so they remember that you value them and don’t want to take them out of their comfort zone.
Just as Venus in Virgo folx are careful with their relationships, they are careful with their money. They find in relationships and in instances of buying items for themselves that if they are too indulgent then they end up feeling guilty. This rationality means that people with Venus in Virgo tend to spend money with caution and almost always buy items for practical purposes.
Venus in Libra
Those who have Venus in Libra know that their love language is kindness and a certain willingness to do whatever they can to keep the peace. Their manner of love is a well-formed one that has taken years of tending to and practice. Because of this, it’s easy for them to be perceived as fake or lacking sincerity but the right person will see them for what they are - reserved in their loving.
A relationship with someone who has Venus in Libra is formed over time by taking the right path and making the right decisions. Moving too quickly or behaving in a manner that a Venus in Libra partner would deem “unacceptable” are two sure-fire ways to turn off your potential partner. Most people with Venus in Libra have an undeniable charm which they use to get exactly what they want. This charm also allows them to appear calm, cool and collected even if they are head over heels in love with the person they are currently wooing.
When it comes to pleasing a Venus in Libra partner, it’s an easy love to manage. Mild-mannered and always preferring to take the middle road to avoid conflict, Venus in Libra lovers will treat every relationship with fairness. They aim to please their partners and are willing to change whatever they need to about themselves or their lives to ensure their partner’s happiness. As long as you treat your Venus in Libra partner with the same fairness and kindness that they show to you, they will be happy. They love to share, so being able to listen and absorb all they tell you will put you in good standing and result in a lover who treats you with equal shares of love and kindness.
When it comes to spending their money, nothing would hurt someone with Venus in Libra more than giving away their hard-earned and carefully counted cash for something that could be described as “too busy” or tacky. This applies to the art they buy, the clothes they wear, the music they listen to, and items they fill their home with. Just as their love is well-refined, so is their taste and they won’t let anyone think otherwise.
Venus in Scorpio
What’s one word you’d use to describe a Scorpio? If you chose the word ‘intense’ then you’re right on the money with how people who have Venus in Scorpio attract their lovers. A Venus in Scorpio person is intense in all manners pertaining to love including how they search for it, how they react when they find it, and how they maintain it. For those with Venus in Scorpio, it’s all about sex, love, and unwavering commitment. While they may come across as incapable of fear, the confidence they ooze is contagious and before you know it, your Venus in Scorpio lover has ensnared you in a trap that you really don’t mind being in.
Those who date or are married to someone with Venus in Scorpio know that you are their heart’s number one object and their soul’s number one desire. The focus a Venus in Scorpio has on their partner is hyper-focused and, depending on the kind of person you are, you either revel in it or slightly fear it. Because of their intensity, a lot of situations that have the potential to be fun take on a feeling of being very overwhelming with a Venus in Scorpio. And it’s difficult to talk to a Venus in Scorpio about how their love is kind of scary because their reaction to being told their feelings are too heavy is guaranteed to go one of two ways. They either give you a look that is fueled by the powers of Medusa herself or go full rage mode on you.
The best way to keep a partner with Venus in Scorpio happy is to, again and again, prove your unwavering loyalty. Show that you appreciate them for their sure-footed personality and the intensity with which they approach both love and intimacy. If you get to a point where you feel like your Venus in Scorpio lover is taking advantage of you then chances are that is exactly what is happening. Give them the reins to lead the relationship and, on occasion, allow them to feel like they have full control over you, as well, but never to a point where you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Someone with Venus in Scorpio can be a hard book to read, rarely can they be judged by their cover, and they will take you on an emotional roller coaster that will have you wishing you could get off, but having the time of your life through to the end.
People who Venus in Scorpio have a much darker-leaning taste that could be described as Gothic or Victorian. Venus in Scorpio types knows who they truly are is reflected by what is on the inside, so they rarely spend money in an attempt to display their true selves through clothing, hair, or makeup.
Venus in Sagittarius
Those with Venus in Sagittarius on their natal chart are most in love with those they can grow with. Folx with Venus in Sagittarius are looking to expand their mindsets, learn new things, and experience as much as they can with their partner. The hunter that represents Sagittarius always has his arrow set on the next object of his desire and those with Venus in Sagittarius are similar. They want to move, explore, and seek throughout their lives and won’t stand for a relationship that has any chance of holding them back from doing just that.
People with Venus in Sagittarius give and receive love in a variety of ways all of which involve sharing their entire world with their partner and expecting them to do the same. Laughter and happiness are huge to those with the planet of love under the sign of the hunter and they want partners who can share in their joking manners, their big plans, and their jovial mannerisms. Restless by nature, they are turned off by partners who tend to focus on singular goals and have a quick reaction to flee from situations that grow tough or tiresome.
Loving someone with Venus in Sagittarius comes with some obstacles, mainly the ability to give them their own space and time within a relationship. Someone partnered with a Venus in Sagittarius needs to be able to understand that monotony is a relationship killer and that the ability to move on even when a problem may not be fully resolved is crucial. Your relationship will thrive if it is full of romantic getaways, nights spent discussing different philosophies and grand adventures, and plenty of space. A partner with Venus in Sagittarius has the tendency to expect only the truth from their loved ones and they do well in a relationship that is straight to the point, simplified, and involving two people who value their independence while understanding that time apart does not weaken a relationship in the slightest.
Due to their need for new adventures and their ideal life being one that is spent with a greater opportunity right on the horizon, people with Venus in Sagittarius don’t hold on to many personal possessions. Their money is better spent on their next trip and if they can fit all their belongings in a backpack and go, that is fine by them.
Venus in Capricorn
Capricorns, like the goat that represents the boss bitch of the zodiac, are tenacious and those with Venus in Capricorn in their natal chart need someone who is ready to play around with who has the power in the relationship. They often attract their partners by displaying their more rational sides and showing potential love interests that they’re responsible for their actions and realistic in their expectations.
People with Venus in Capricorn want their love interests to know that they get through their day-to-day with a mindset that is focused on achieving one goal then moving onto the next. Often labeled as capable, they thrive in relationship situations that are predictable and are often hesitant when it comes to jumping with both feet forward. This calm, cool, and collected persona that they project is what others find so attractive but these same tendencies can also turn potential partners away by coming across as cold. At the end of the day, someone with a Venus in Capricorn is a romantic at heart and they want someone to share their love with.
Being in a relationship with someone who has Venus in Capricorn is the perfect situation for those who are looking for a partnership that is easy to manage and predictable in a sense. Venus in Capricorn is a practical placement and they prefer to show their relationships off in a subtle way that says, “this is where I find my security and the life I have with them is of the utmost importance.” A relationship with a Venus in Capricorn will thrive for those looking for a love that is constant even though it is not in your face or showy in any way. A partner with Venus in Capricorn is ready to be in it for the long haul, through thick and thin, and isn’t going to run away at the first sign of conflict or difficulty. They understand that the highs and lows are part of building a lasting bond and don’t think of a bump in the road here and there as a sign of incompatibility, but instead as another obstacle that can be overcome for betterment in the long run.
The goal-oriented mindset that a Venus in Capricorn uses to approach their relationships is also how they approach their finances. The term “saving for a rainy day” perfectly encapsulates how a Venus in Capricorn views their financial situation but they aren’t likely to ever use that nest egg on a rainy day whim considering they are too concerned with their financial security in the future to ever find a justification for spending on a whim.
Venus in Aquarius
The ever evasive water bearer that is Aquarius is a forward-thinking and quirky sign which leads into the main way that those with Venus in Aquarius enjoy love, through thinking outside the box. A lover with Venus in Aquarius isn’t looking for the typical relationship, in fact, the more their relationship defies the social norms, the better.
Someone with a Venus in Aquarius placement is sure to be in a fun, eccentric, and open-minded relationship. Once a Venus in Aquarius lets their guard down and gets comfortable with their partner, they’re coming out of their shell and showing the quirkiest sides of their personality to the one they love. They’re looking for lovers who appreciate their off-beat way of thinking and want a partner who will say, “yes, I see you are not conventional and I am here for it! Let’s get weird!” An ideal partner of someone with Venus in Aquarius is someone who is just as weird as they are (in all the right ways) and someone who is able to keep up with their tendencies to stray from the beaten path and forge their own unique way through the jungle of love.
Men and women with Venus in Aquarius are attracted to one thing and it’s a must if their relationship is going to succeed: unconventionality. They aren’t looking for the typical relationship that society deems as “right” but instead a relationship that is spontaneous, different, and willing to break a few rules along the way (even though the partner with Venus in Aquarius has some very specific rules they want to follow as well.) Feeling as if they are being tied down or kept from being true to themselves is a huge turn off and a sure-fire way to get a Venus in Aquarius partner to book a one-way ticket out of there. A Venus in Aquarius partner works hard to be seen as different and is looking for a partner who acknowledges and appreciates them for just how much they stand out in a crowd of normies. If you’re looking for ways to show your Venus in Aquarius partner just how much you love and care for them, you can do so by letting them know their eccentricities are what you find endearing about them. They love nothing more than being told that their intellect is attractive.
Feeding their desire to be regarded as well placed outside of social norms, those with Venus in Aquarius spend their money in ways that help to secure this appearance. People with these placements tend to spend their money on causes they support to show the world they care and don’t feel any sort of attachment to money for the sole sake of it being money. Instead, money is seen as a key to open the gateway to new experiences to further their knowledge of the world and support ventures they deem worthy.
Venus in Pisces
If you find that your Venus is placed under Pisces on your natal chart, congratulations! Venus is functioning at its highest frequency under the sign of the fish where the planet is “exalted”. A person with Venus in Pisces is looking for a love that is deeply connected on a spiritual plane and one that finds love in anything and everything considered as a creative outlet.
Your typical person with a Venus in Pisces placement appears to be dreamy with their head in the clouds and their heart on their sleeve. Ever elusive, like the slippery fish that denote the sign, Venus in Pisces placements are hard to pin down but worth the work to do so. Romantic to the core, a partner with Venus in Pisces is going to let their heart and their feelings lead them through a relationship over common sense and rational thinking. This approach makes them a moody partner and the wrong person will perceive their sensitivity towards every single thing under the Sun as extremely frustrating. The right person, on the other hand, will appreciate the fact that a Venus in Pisces placement moves through this realm feeling everything they can and letting their unconditional love mold their relationships.
Pleasing a Venus in Pisces placement is a slippery slope. They tend to take on a martyr persona at times and quite enjoy feeling slighted in a relationship because it gives them a chance to be saved. The right partner will see this and jump at the chance to romance, woo, and comfort their sensitive partner. Due to their highly emotional state of mind, it can be quite difficult to know exactly what a Venus in Pisces partner is feeling. And they quite like being hard to understand. In an ideal relationship, someone with Venus in Pisces is allowed the time and space to feel out their overwhelming amount of feelings. Their ultimate partner is someone who is along for the ride as the Venus is Pisces navigates through the world without a discernible sense of direction. Some people find this approach to life invigorating while others find it absolutely maddening. A partner to a Venus in Pisces who is all in will be rewarded with a love that is unconditional and 100% accepting.
When it comes to money, Venus in Pisces placements are just as giving with their hard-earned cash as they are with their love. When a Venus in Pisces finds a cause that they want to support, they go all in and do so without holding back. They do well when they marry into money or inherit it because saving for them is quite difficult considering all the worthy causes in the world that need their support.
Venus in the 12 Houses
While knowing what sign your Venus falls under is a great way to gain more understanding about how you give and receive love, it is also important to know what house your Venus falls under for a complete understanding of your relationship with your Venus placement. The House that Venus falls in will give you more insight into what you enjoy in a relationship, how you thrive in a relationship, and where your weaknesses lie.

Brie’s Birth Chart
Venus in Scorpio
DISCLAIMER: Astrology is not a science and should not be taken at face value. Not every trait is present in every person sharing this sign, and other placements influence each other.
Represents love and money. Rules sentiment, our values, the pleasures we take in life, and our attachments. Reveals how we approach our relationships, how we spend money, what types of gifts we buy, as well as which and how we approach leisure activities. Venus also rules our ability to attract and the attraction we feel (how and for whom), as well as our grace, charm and beauty.
————————————————————
They attract others with their intensity and willingness to commit
their actions in love have a way of promising deep commitment and sexual pleasure, even if they’re not communicating this directly.
Their appeal lies in their focus on a person they care about as well as their dedication.
fearless when it comes to intimacy! Potential lovers get the feeling that they will never stray, that they’re intensely loyal to the one they love. They possess a person and somehow make it seem attractive to be possessed.
Very focused on their partners
Want to explore and accept their partners’ faults, but are often insecure and not forthcoming with their own
They will show their partner if they are not happy about something
Jealousy, which stems from their insecurities and fears of being used
Can be pleased by a demonstration of commitment and loyalty, but also a certain willingness to give them space
They‘re seeking deeply passionate relations. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy, as they yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable.
This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is passionate, sensual, and intense energy.
Their relationships are immensely important to them
Although they crave intense closeness, blind faith in their partner may be challenging. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up their own power to others are strong.
Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result.
If they’re feeling insecure, they can be hard to figure out or to get close to
Most of their true character lies beneath the surface, and what they choose to put on display may even be deceptive.
their sexual nature can be quite complex. they are provocative but private, and sex is profoundly intimate and personal for them
They’re passionate and rarely forget, although once something is over, it’s truly over.
while they can end an attachment to a person, they may dwell on the relationship experience with them for a lifetime.
difficulty to put feelings into words at times.
Very selective with their friends
Inability to moderate their interests

Astrology For Dummies 2!
Tumblr media
This week in our Astrology series we bring you Astrology for Dummies #2 and we go in depth with all the twelve signs of the zodiac; Aries – Taurus – Gemini – Cancer – Leo – Virgo – Libra – Scorpio – Sagittarius – Capricorn – Aquarius – Pisces. We believe the knowledge of our qualities and disadvantages will put us in a good road to positive interactions with each other. Astrology is one of the few studies we think can bring us to that very reachable dream of self consciousness and self realization.
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
This first sign of the zodiac is associated with new beginnings and creativity. The Aries individual strives for challenges and likes to find new adventures. Mars is the ruler of this sign and Aries people are likely to be leaders. They are always competitive, brave and confident. Aries individuals are excellent at starting up projects but will often fail in seeing these projects through. A lot of great leaders and pioneers were born under this sign. Aries individuals do need to work very hard at seeing another's point of view.  Like the true fire sign, their tempers are furious and they find it almost impossible to compromise on issues about which they feel strongly. They are helpless at dealing with the mundane and unpleasant tasks of life, whilst naturally undemanding and most often aggressive.
Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)
This sign appreciates and works at developing harmony and peace, as we might expect of a sign ruled by the planet Venus.  They enjoy the comforts of life, but of course, the comforts of life cost money and they understand this and plan to achieve financial security, to afford and they may be quite materialistic at times. They have a talent for creating a happy, comfortable, peaceful and luxurious home. They are affectionate and warm with children and friends. They must periodically examine themselves and their lives and avoid falling into an unchanging and sometimes boring way of life. They sometimes miss out on opportunities because they are unwilling to take risks and feel threatened by change.
Gemini   (May 21st - June 20th)
Ruled by Mercury, this is an intellectual, rational sign. In direct contrast with the previous sign of Taurus, Gemini finds it difficult to commit. They prefer fast changing circumstances, constant stimulation and ever new experiences for they are intimidated by responsibility. The wit and charm of these people makes them popular socially, though they can be cool and lacking in sympathy in more intimate situations.  In love, these people are flirtatious and excitable but they can quickly move on to someone who is more superficially attractive. They will not tolerate possessiveness in a long term partner. Gemini people are easily bored. Their minds are constantly on the go and looking for something new to order and analyze. They are ideally suited to journalism, the legal profession, the transport industry or any work in which their mind can be constantly stimulated and they can use their excellent communicative abilities. Gemini must beware of flitting constantly from one situation to another and avoiding commitment and its rewards forever. They must also resist the urge to deceive others - Mercury is also associated with thieving and lying! They also need to come to an acceptance that they cannot be young and irresponsible forever.
Cancer (June 21st - July 22nd)
Those born under this sign are the most sensitive in the zodiac. Well aware of their vulnerability, they are most concerned to build around them a secure family and domestic life. Home life is sacred and the Cancer individual will be devoted, sympathetic and loyal to his or her loved ones. As they have so much invested in other people, they can be very clinging and possessive. These people are quite demanding of others and will resort to manipulation to get their own way. Ruled by the Moon, Cancer is a moody and changeable sign. They may find it difficult in facing up to the harsh realities of life, preferring to live in the world of their imagination. They also love reminiscing for they have wonderful memories and are very sentimental about them.
Leo (July 23rd - August 23rd)
Leos have a natural ability to command respect and love from others. It is their generosity, warmth and heroism which is so attractive. Their integrity is absolute and because of this they lack the ability to manipulate. They are always open and frank, rather naïvely thinking that it is best to tell the truth. There is an innocence and playfulness in Leos which comes from their love of life and their zest for getting the most out of every experience.  Leos have huge hearts and can be easily hurt by rejection. They always feel that they have excellent advice to give others but this will often be misinterpreted as arrogance and can alienate people. The trust and respect that Leo can arouse in others makes them born leaders.
Virgo (24th August - 23rd September)
Virgo people set themselves almost impossibly high standards. They will always do their best to achieve perfection and they expect the same level of commitment from family and colleagues. They have clear, rational minds which they apply to solve practical problems and success on this practical level brings them their greatest happiness. Virgos are not afraid to perform humble tasks and they are so careful and persistent that often they will succeed far beyond everybody's expectations. Virgos plan everything to the last detail as they have a genuine fear of disorder. Virgos may alienate others through their nit-picking criticisms of all around them who constantly fail to live up to their high standards. Many Virgo people  choose to  live  alone as  they  are not  good at surrendering  themselves to  passion.  They must remember not to drive their loved ones away from them with ruthless criticism.
Libra (23rd September - 22nd October)
Libra is the sign of marriage and partnership. Above all in life, they seek harmony. Their approach to life is essentially intellectual and they are capable of great mental detachment. Librans are always charming and popular socially. These people always want to please other people and be liked by them. It is quite easy for Librans to put their own opinions, needs and ambitions on hold in order to fit in with those around them. They are constantly trying to find a balance in life and do this by means of their associations with others. Their ability to see both sides of an issue and their strong sense of justice make it very difficult for Librans to actually make a decision or commit themselves. Their ability to be a friend to everyone can sometimes smack of hypocrisy. They value tact more than honesty. They can also be totally indecisive and their love of the good things in life can make them self-indulgent.  Librans may also be attracted to careers in the arts or selling luxury goods where they can use their strong sense of salesmanship.
Scorpio (23rd October – 23rd November)
This is a powerful sign which has a great ability to follow through on plans in a determined way. The intense passion and energy of these individuals makes it imperative that they act from the highest and purest motives as once set on a course, they will almost always succeed. But they will also be capable of influencing others enormously as their charisma and sense of commitment is overwhelming. They are more vulnerable than they immediately appear. They are extremely sensitive and quite easily hurt. And their hurts are remembered for a long time.  They are very good at behind the scenes work and in research. Some are attracted to detective work and healing professions and some to work in which they deal with financial resources. They are often concerned at some point in their lives in what is hidden - hence their association with sexuality, money, death and the occult. They are the most resentful sign of the zodiac and very easily jealous.
Sagittarius (24th November - 21st December)
Those born under this sign are extremely broad minded, optimistic and confident. They are generous and understanding and totally uninterested in petty jealousies. These people always have faith that things will turn out right in the end, no matter how bad things may be. Their positive thought patterns tend to attractive positive experiences to them. These people are honest to a fault but rarely talk about it. It is essential for them to be independent as freedom is the staff of life to them. They certainly value contact with foreign cultures as they consider this to be a valuable way of broadening the mind. They are often motivated to pass on their learning to others and can make very gifted teachers. Infidelity is often an issue in a Sagittarius marriage as, for these people, there is always a new adventure beckoning around the corner. Sagittarians need to develop some of the cool logic of the opposite sign of Gemini, to balance their lofty idealism.
Capricorn (22nd December - 19th January)
The sign of Capricorn is ruled by the stern planet Saturn and those born under this sign often find life laborious and demanding. They pit themselves against life, working in a determined, careful way until they reach the top of the mountain. Only then do they feel secure and fulfilled. The Capricorn path is often a very lonely one as they have no time, even when they long, for pleasure and relaxation. Capricorns can endure any hardship and deprivation if they feel they are nearing their goals. Often they achieve their greatest success later in life. These individuals are never afraid of responsibility, domestically or professionally. For whatever reason, they are likely to attract far greater responsibilities than other people. Family members may feel neglected as the Capricorn relentlessly requires possessions and status. Whichever professional arena they choose, and they can excel in any, they will undertake their duties with great seriousness. Capricorn individuals must beware that they do not miss out on life's joys because they always have their nose to the hustle of trying to work hard.
Aquarius (20th January - 18th February)
Aquarians are gifted thinkers. Aquarians are humanitarian and motivated in all they do by the desire to make the world a better place. These individuals love to work in a group. They love their work if it gives them the opportunity to express original ideas. Sometimes, they are seen as rebellious - this occurs when they do not have an appropriate outlet for their original ideas. They are quite stubborn about having their own time and territory and for this reason they can be difficult to live with. They do need to remember that their loved ones want to be treated in a special way, rather than with the same tolerance and affection as anyone who comes into their orbit. They are likely to have friends from all walks of life and enjoy sharing their interests and ideas with them. They are often inclined to get involved in campaigns to alleviate suffering, inequality or pollution.
Pisces (19th February - 20th March)
People who are born under this sign are gentle, dreamy people who often prefer to avoid the realities of everyday life. It is sometimes not easy for them to be their own person. They are so sensitive to the moods and needs of other people that they will automatically adapt to fulfil those. They have limitless sympathy for the human condition. They are so changeable that they cannot always be relied on. They can be quite economical with the truth at times. These individuals are not robust and have little resistance to illness. They can quite often fall victim to addiction in an attempt to escape from reality.
Love and marriage is often the most important thing to them. They enjoy all aspects of domestic life and display their affections easily. They can succeed in the arts, in music or in the healing professions. They must avoid dishonesty and their tendency to become caught up in worry, even paranoia. Their almost ever present feeling of discontent can drain their energy and encourage them to dream away the time and miss valuable opportunities.
Next week we’ll bring you the third article on our Astrology for Dummies series. With any question with Astrology and or me Mordecai III, please send me a message. Thanx...

Basic Meanings of the Planets
Sun: Personality and Appearance
The Sun is ruled by Leo, which rules the 5th house. It depicts your inner self and the general tone if your being, which is the foundation on which the rest if your chart formulates upon. The Sun identifies as our ego self. The Sun reflects the present life and depicts who you are at this particular moment. The positive forms of the Sun include feelings of purpose, pride, and creativity. Negative sides of the Sun include self-centeredness, judgement, and haughtiness. The position of the Sun shows your life purpose and where your personality shines the most. Depending on the house that your Sun resides, it shows what experiences contribute to your identity and individuality.
Moon: Moods and Emotions
The Moon is ruled by Cancer, which rules the 4th house. It represents our deepest personal needs, basic reactions, and our unconscious self. The Moon depicts how you react to problems and what you feel you need in order to feel security. The Moon is associated with feminine energy. Your inner mother and your inner child shine through your moon sign. It shows how we protect ourselves. Habitual behaviors also reside within the moon’s power. For some, the Moon rules most of their personalities rather than their Sun. This is mostly the case if your Moon is a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces). The Moon’s energy is focused on the past and the feelings imbued within it. The Moon represents the feeling of having something “on the tip of your tongue”. It is the feelings you cannot put into words, or the dreams that you cannot seem to remember, buried deep within your subconscious as only a whisper of what it has been. Positive sides of the Moon include imagination, creativity, intution, and sentimentality. On the other hand, the Moon can bring moodiness, restlessness, and irrationality. The position of the Moon inditcates how we experience emotion and respond to our environment, especially behind closed doors. Depending on which house your Moon is in, it shows which areas of your life you feel the most comfortable in.
Mercury: The Mind and Communication
Mercury is ruled by Gemini and Virgo, which rule the 6th and 3rd house, respectively. It depicts your day-to-day expression and communication. It’s energy is analytical and unemotional. Typically is labeled as the “student” of the planets due to its intense curiosity and desire to learn. Mercury depicts the way we speak and write. Mercury also rules coordination and how we process ideas. This planet analyzes the environment in order to make sense of it all. Positive forms of this planet include curiosity, communication, and versatility. Negative depictions of Mercury include nervous energy and indecisiveness. Depending on the sign that an individual’s Mercury is in, it depicts the style that they communicate with, how they study, and how they process information. Based on the house that their Mercury is in, it shows which aspect of life they want to have a voice in and the areas of life that they give a lot of thought to.
Venus: Love and Attraction
Venus is ruled by Libra and Taurus, which rule the 7th and 2nd house, respectively. Venus represents both love and money in our lives. Venus rules what we value as well as the pleasure that we take in life. Venus shows our pleasures, artistic abilities, and what makes us happy. The placement of Venus in our chart shows our views on love and heartfelt relationships. Depending on the house that Venus resides in in our chart, it depits the areas of life that we wish to balance and derive pleasure from. Venus also shows how we spend our money.
Mars: Drive and Energy
Mars is ruled by Aries, which rules the 1st house. Mars rules our primal insticts and aggression. It also depicts our sexual desires. Raw energy and immediate action are two of the most intense qualities of this planet. Positive forms of Mars are assertivenness, forthrightedness, and a strive for adventure. Negative depictions of this planet include impulsivity, impatience, and aggression. The position of Mars in our chart shows our basic sexual nature and how we express anger. Competitive nature also shows through the placement of Mars in our chart. Depending on the house that your Mars resides in, it shows the areas of life that you put drive and enthusiasm into. Planets associated with your Mars can represent the kinds of experiences we want to have.
Jupiter: Luck, Growth, and Wisdom
Jupiter is ruled by Sagittarius, which rules the 9th house. Jupiter is expansive and plentiful. Jupiter is the planet of purpose and possibility. Generally, this planet is associated with good luck, optimism, and growth. Positive forms of Jupiter include humor, good will, and mercy. Negative sides of this planet include overindulgence and blind optimsim. The position of Jupiter in your chart shows how we express generosity and tolerance. It shows where we look for understanding and wisdom, as well as how we trust others and improve our lives.
Saturn: Discpline, Fears and Challenges
Saturn is ruled by Capricorn, which rules the 10th house. Saturn is associated with restriction and limitation. Regardless of the negative nature that surrounds this planet, it brings structure and meaning into our world. Saturn is considerate of boundaries and responsibilities and brings awareness of self-control. Similar to an authority figure in our childhood setting rules (that may not always seem to be in your best interest), Saturn gives you lessons to help you grow and understand the world around you. The position of Saturn in your chart depicts your limitations, fears, and sense of responsibility.
Uranus: Change and Originality
Uranus is ruled by Aquarius, which rules the 11th house. Based on its position, Uranus tends to bring unexpected change and electric energy to the table. The main theme of Uranus is originality and discovery. This planet is forward-thinking and progressiveness. Positive sides of Uranus are ingenuity, novelty, and enlightenment. Negative parts of this planet inclujde rebelliousness and irresponsibility. Regardless of its electric and unpredictable nature, if you are well in-tune with Uranus, it could bring intense intution. The sign of your Uranus will be the same as other people in your generation (due to the slow movement of the planet). The position of Uranus by house shows which area of your life you want to “stir things up”. It shows the area in which you want to go against the grain or which situations you want to put a new spin on. Other meanings of the placement of Uranus in your chart include the areas of your life in which there are erratic patterns.
Neptune: Dreams and Healing
Neptune is ruled by Pisces, which rules the 12th house. Neptune is a planet of inspiration, illusion, psychic receptivity, and inspiration. Spirituality is a large theme of this planet. Positive forms of Neptune include intuition, spiritual enlightenment, and compassion. On the negative side, Neptune can include deception, guilt, and addiction. Similar to the sign of Uranus, it will be shared by the people in the same generation as you due to Neptune’s slow movement. The house that your Neptune lies in shows where your dreams and psychic sensitivity are most prominent in. Planets that are in contact with Neptune are filled with dreaminess and a vulnerable nature susceptible to illusion. This causes unrealistic hope and a poetic outlook.
Pluto: Power and Transformation
Pluto is ruled by Scorpio, which rules the 8th house. Pluto represents subonscious force, and everything that is below the surface. Positive forms of this planet include renewal, new beginnings, and spiritual growth. A negative expression of Pluto include obsession with power and control. Similar to Uranus and Neptune, the sign of Pluto in your chart will be shared with the same people in your generation. The position of Pluto in the houses of your chart shows where you search for truth or deeper meaning. This area of life can be associatied with control issues and change. In relation to other planets, Pluto can cause their energies to be obsessive and strive to find deeper meanings.

Venus in the 9th house Hey loves, Venus 💗entered my 9th house 🏡 yesterday (#venusinthe9thhouse ) and given that it was a #superbluefullmooneclipse yesterday - it seems like a loud message for my life path 🌿. . . The first civilizations like the Sumerians were stargazers and so much innovation came as a result like our calendar, 60 minute for an hour measure and so much more. This is key 🔑 information for our development and to be able to understand the difficulties we may have because of it (I've been both relieved and amazed at how much planetary positions impact the houses they are in when we're born....compared to how they influence us as they move thereafter. . . Venus' movement occurs about every 20 days from what I understand. The fact that it's entering on the #fullbluebloodmoon AND we're entering a February is a big sign for me that love is going to be a big theme (not just in the romantic sense... even though oddly my hubs stayed home from work today! ⚡️). Anyhow I think this love and passion will involved as much of *that* & greater exploration and lucidity of my life passions. As you'll read in my next post my natal houses had a theme of 6. The number flipping signals to me a resolution and expansion of growth. . . The #9thhouse represents intuition, the study of religion, philosophy and higher learning. It also represents travel, culture, and expansion of horizons, the mind and physically. The planet in this house represents philosophical pursuits. . . "Venus rules our sentiments, what we value, and the pleasure we take in life. Grace, charm, and beauty are all ruled by Venus. Through Venus, we learn about our tastes, pleasures, artistic inclinations, and what makes us happy. Venus also rules attraction to people and things (like #abundance and #money). " From Astrology Cafe . . Venus is never more than 45 degrees away from the Sun. Venus is ruled by Libra (my star ⭐️ sign!), and Taurus it's exalted in Pisces (my moon 🌙 sign). . . . . #9thhouseastrology #venusinthe9th #astrologypost #astrologysigns #astrologytransits #astrologychart
