I think the funniest thing to come out of Dragons Rising is the fact that both seasons have a character with at least one explicitly queer-subtext moment. Sora with her name and rejecting the society that she didn't fit in with, Bonzle worried no one would accept her for who she is now when compared to who she was "supposed" to be, my friends the closet is made of glass.

I've decided this is now mandatory, at least one queer allegory every season. I'm enlisting all of you to help me enforce it. Onwards, lads, to victory

Going to hazard it's not a great sign for your obvious party nominee when a substantially non-zero portion of your own party's voters come out to make a point of informing everyone that they are not voting for you, even if they have done so multiple times previously, and pledge to support the incumbent president of the opposite party if/when you win the nomination.

So, like, he feeds her the cake too. I think this may represent that he also contributed to the toxicity of the relationship. The MV heavily features a carousel as well, which symbolically represents a cycle or some sort of repetition. Their relationship would keep going round and round until it broke down. They were both on the ride tattered and miserable—not just him and not just her.

I would also like to point out that while she shows the "real" effect of her love through it changing into the forest, it never shows how his cake (love) was also a rat (bad). She doesn’t want to portray him in a negative light, perhaps because of her guilt. Deep down, she knows she was unhealthy, but she doesn’t admit that it went both ways.

Personally, I think I’m going to vote her innocent. It seems like two people with no idea what was truly healthy got together, and it ended horrifically. She deserves to be able to grow and learn how to truly be healthy. To me, it feels more like a tragedy than a story with an unforgivable villain.
