I don't think you guys understand how much of a chokehold White has on me. White is the perfect human being. He is a pretty kid with rich parents. He's kind, cute, smart, compassionate, loving, the perfect boyfriend. White has no flaws. Both Tee and the audience see that. They count on that. "That means he was a bad character," I hear you say, but I disagree. Because all of the above make him so much better in my opinion. And the reason for that is the few times we got his POV. Because White, from his point of view, is a dirty slut who Tee will one day come to hate. Because from our point of view - and Tee's - his parallels to Non make him vulnerable to the narrative. White is the perfect human being because Tee is the one who put that role on him. He's perfect, because he's not Non (he's not poor, or as much sexually active, or mentally ill, or introverted, or or or). Except, he is. White being so similar to Non doomed him from the start. And it was Tee who did that to him.

Master Donatello, I'm so sorry to interrupt, but have you been able to communicate with past Donnie or Toby? I think something's wrong, but Toby isn't responding to my messages....
@corporal-darner
I spoke with Donatello about an hour ago, but haven’t heard personally from Toby. Is something bothering you?

Why is soo hard to find Riddler-centric fics in portguese? The only ones are making fun of him for being a second rate Joker wich is untrue and annoying.

Folks, real talk. As much as I love seeing republicans repeatedly fail, we need a functional House.
You - YOU! - have a chance to make this country better, right now. If your representative is a republican, call this number, ask for their office, and ask them to vote "present"
(202) 224-3121
Because he doesn't understand crazy, McCarthy will not budge if he doesn't see the walls crumbling. But I understand crazy. The Never McCarthy's don't give a damn, and they will never let hik have this.
Call your republican representative. Ask them to vote present.
Thanks for your time.

So, Bible's Alo boxing pics resulted in me getting a new VP fic idea. I'm blaming him for the brainrot, how dare he? The reason I'm sharing it is because I'm too fucking excited about exploring it. I already have 5 pages of notes - mostly very rough snippets - and besides, I have already shared my other WIPs here, so why not this one too? So, basically, the main premise is this: 1 year after the coup, Vegas asks Pete to teach him boxing. Pete takes it as well as you would expect, but eventually agrees. It is an enlightening experience for both of them. It'll be really challenging for me, an able-bodied person, to write about the experiences of a disabled character (can't imagine a different kind of Vegas post-canon, sorry folks), but I'll do my best to portray him as accurately and gracefully as possible. It'll also be super fun to touch upon the repressed feelings Pete *surely* has about his past, and other issues they might encounter along the way (Macau is side-eyeing me so hard right now). I'm sharing a snippet too, though keep in mind it's very first draft-y:
"Was boxing difficult for you?" Pete was thankful his face wasn't visible when Vegas asked the question. He wasn't sure what his expression was, but he knew he didn't want it to be seen. He really wished Vegas wouldn't do that sometimes; say things that had the force of pool water hitting Pete's face as he dived in, hands and feet bound, unable to do much besides fighting to get himself free. In contrast to that, though, the option to get free wasn't available to him now.
(I have prohibited myself from making a Gdoc for it until I finish my somno VP fic, which I want to have ready to post by the time my birthday comes around, which is the 19th of February, to give you an estimate of when to expect it lol)

Where to start?
The biggest problem I've been having with sustainability and doing something about the mess we're in is .... where to start? How to start? So I'm going to give the Cliff Notes for my thinking and learning so far.
Decreasing use of fossil fuels (as fuels) is #1. Duh. Does this even need to be said? Half by 2030. None by 2050. That means our cars, our water heaters, our cook stoves, our ovens, our heat, etc etc etc. If you own it and it burns gas, petrol, diesel, natural gas, methane, propane, or whatever you call it, think about how you're going to phase it out.
By extension, increasing your renewable energy usage instead of electricity generated from fossil fuels is #2, and a subset of #1. Wind. Solar. Tidal. Geothermal. Hydroelectric. Etc. They are safe. They are proven. They don't put more carbon (and other pollutants) into the atmosphere.
Advocacy is #3, and the best way to achieve #1 and #2. Start at the top. It's powerful if you, a person, puts solar on their house (assuming you can afford a house or live where there's a lot of sunshine), but it's more powerful if your town pressures your local electric utility to install a solar project to power 1,000 homes. It's powerful if you install a heat pump but it's more powerful if your government passes a bill to pay for heat pumps for low-income homeowners. Etc etc etc. Attend a city council meeting. Write a letter. Yell at your congressperson.
Transportation is #4. Drive your goddamn cars less. Go electric. Take the bus. Take the train. Vacation closer to home.
#5 if a subset of #4, and is to to take fewer long flights. Seriously. You don't have to visit a foreign country every year for fun. Or more often than twice a year. (I'm more understanding about visiting family.) That business trip could be a Zoom call. Every time I get a message from someone that they're in Hawaii because they're getting away from <insert climate-change-caused-unpleasant-weather-here> I want to strangle them.
If you can, go vegetarian or vegan. If you can't, at least reduce your meat intake. Especially eat less beef. Eat less dairy if you can. (I'm totally a hypocrite on this one. I love dairy. But at least I don't eat beef and eat minimal meat, period, so I feel like I'm trying my best.)

I called the hospital for the umpteenth time and have just learned that the doctor who told me he would call me back four months ago has decided to close my file to refer me elsewhere, without informing me and without doing any request for a follow up to a specialist. My appart owner has just put pressure on me by telling us that we should think about moving out eventually - when I have neither the financial nor physical means to do so. What a shitty day...
