Listen I am an absolute sucker for any fic or AU or scenario where an Adrienette child comes back in time somehow and just. Has absolutely no respect for their parents’ secret identities. Emma telling Marinette that her name is Emma Agreste and then yelling “Daddy!” when she sees Chat Noir. Hugo excitedly telling Adrien about making cookies for Tikki with Grandma Sabine last week. Louis wondering loudly where Plagg is because he wants to play and then going “Papa!” at Marinette’s Adrien Collage. Accidental reveals through the Adrienette kids are yes.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate that this scene, at most, takes place a couple of weeks after they officially got together, and already Adrinette have a wedding vision board?!?!
Tumblr media
And like, sure, Marinette has been planning their future together since day one, but does anyone really think that Marinette would allow Gabriel to so much as view this, without first receiving Adrien's approval?!? She even went so far as to put this in the sketchbook she brings along with her, so really anyone could see it. The logical explanation is that Adrien has not only seen these designs but has put his seal of approval on them.
Also, just wanted to point out the little hamsters on the page

I just had a thought and y'all need to listen to me.
Arthur Pendragon and Adrien Agreste? Same person.
Let me state the facts:
1. Both have bitter dads which are rich and respected.
2. Both of their dads have done the horrible things they've done as a form of revenge for their blonde, dead wife.
3. Both Dads targeting people with powers.
4. Both Adrien and Arthur practice a form of martial arts with swords. (Fencing, sword fighting)
5. Both have blonde hair and light eyes from their late mother.
6. Both upper class and both falling in love with a dark haired, blue eyed person from a low 'rank' (which btw has powers that they aren't aware of.)
7. Both most popular ships at both shows aren't (yet) canon.
8. Both turning into some kind of animals (donkey Arthur, cat noir)
9. Both of their love interests (Gwen,Merlin, Marinette) are shipped with other slightly long-haired men. (Luka, Lancelot,Gwaine) & Other girls that the fandom loves. (Freya,Gwen,Morgana,Zoe)
Anyways. ADRIEN AND ARTHUR ARE THE SAME PERSON CONFIRMED??

My designs for my adrinette babies! Hugo and Mei are twins and Li is the youngest! Sure, Li may look a tad bit unsettling but he’s usually a sweet baby.
Usually that is…

The twins deserve all the wrath in all honestly.
Below is what I envision older adrinette to be!

🦮 fill this empty space (ask game)
(link to the summary)
This turned out to be... longer than a snippet, and like the summary, angstier than I expected. It's been that kind of week ig! But there's a promising ending because I needed one :)
It had been a warm summer day when the old Marinette died.
The new Marinette woke up surrounded by golden light, soft, green grass, and the soft murmurings of a stream in northern France. It was perhaps the best way for her rebirth to happen, in a calm, relaxing environment far from the place she somehow knew was home.
She met her family there. They already knew her, and called her "maman," or "ma femme," or "my lady."
Marinette was no one's lady. She never had been, but according to video evidence and the testimony of her husband and children and best friend, that was one of the many roles her past self had filled.
Marinette did not know how to fill any of those old roles anymore. But because of the secret, magical way she'd chosen to lose her memories, she couldn't let anyone know this fact. She had to study years worth of business lessons in mere weeks, preparing for her return to Paris and the international company she would soon be in charge of running again.
At least her past self had accounted for this new Marinette's incompetence. But no one else seemed to see that she wasn't the same woman she had been once, back when a kwami lived in her purse and villains of the day (and year) kept plaguing Paris.
Adrien, the man past-Marinette had married, professed to still be in love with her. He saw some of the differences between the new Marinette and the old one, but claimed they weren't nearly as big as Marinette thought they were. And he chose to spend most of his time around her, so maybe he was right. He whispered praises for each small thing she did, both when they were alone and in public; took the time to learn her new habits; made her fresh coffee for when she woke up two hours after he did; stayed out of her bed to help her feel comfortable.
Marinette could see why her past self had loved him. It was something both halves of her were beginning to share, a love for this man who found a way to bring joy to her life even when it had been turned upside down.
But it didn't change the fact that the new Marinette was not the same woman he'd married. That fact was written into the vows Adrien and the past Marinette had exchanged; the way they had split up their chores; the daily schedule that Adrien still remembered while the new Marinette did not.
To Marinette, this new self of hers was nothing more than a facade made to cover the void her past self had left behind. She was thirty years old and as empty inside as a newborn baby, with no memories to guide her through this unfamiliar world.
Marinette was an icon, the magazines said. A paragon of virtue in an age of corruption, one half of both Paris' favorite couples, a woman who managed to be a world-famous CEO and an attentive mother at the same time.
That wasn't the new Marinette's reality. She didn't even know her children's middle names, though she was learning their favorite desserts, sports, and hobbies.
Most days, it was like learning a foreign language, and it felt just as isolating when she got something wrong or tried to remember something she thought she knew but actually didn't. Sometimes, this new life of hers was crushing, a drain on her already empty self, taking the last bit of Marinette out of her.
But not always.
As out of place as Marinette felt in her own life, the people in it still felt right somehow. They'd been there for her when she woke up; they were there to hug and comfort her when she cried in the night, to help teach her about her own life and tell her about theirs, and to listen when she said she felt different. They loved her, that much was clear, and they promised to love her no matter which Marinette she was; the old one with all her memories or the new one just fumbling through life.
And somehow, even though she claimed not to feel anything more for them than for other strangers at first, Marinette still loved them back. Their presence soothed the ache she felt in her chest, the one she felt when she couldn't remember, and she found herself more than missing them when they weren't there. She looked forward to hearing about their day, to learning their middle names; she held on to the facts they told her about themselves like sweet gifts of gold and honey, like they were all she needed to survive, to fill the empty space her memories had left behind.
The new Marinette was not the old one, and she never would be.
But maybe that was okay. The new Marinette had her own space, too; it began here, in this remote, rural town near the seashore, and it would expand back to Paris, to the place where the old Marinette had lived.
Marinette's home had always been her family, the people she loved. That was something she knew without having to remember it, and something she was more sure of every day.
So she studied the journals her past self had written, re-learned how to design, baked bread beside Adrien, sang songs with her children and stayed by their side. If her mind was an empty slate, then she was going to fill it with love, the same love she'd chosen before and was choosing again.
And someday, this new Marinette would feel whole again.
Thanks for the ask! I hope you enjoyed <3

Safety and Why Adrien’s “Sudden” Crush on Marinette Makes So Much Sense
Season 5 sees Marinette jumping headfirst into a crush on Chat Noir because her faith in a relationship with Adrien has been rocked considerably. She doesn’t trust the strength of their friendship. She doesn’t trust that she’ll make the right decisions around him. The foundation isn’t even there for her to trust his love for her. Their future is fraught with uncertainty.
Chat Noir is her loyal partner. Chat Noir is in love with her. She’s comfortable with Chat Noir. Chat Noir is the safe romantic choice.
While it’s also true that she has gained a newfound respect and loyalty to Chat Noir, she is also rebounding with him pretty hard. Especially after his unwavering support of her in ‘Strike Back’. He is her rock.
Adrien is doing the same thing. Ladybug neglected Chat Noir. He upset Ladybug to her breaking point with his excessive wooing. Every time he has any hope for he and Ladybug, it is abruptly snatched away by Ladybug herself or outside forces.
Tumblr media
Marinette is comforting and kind. Marinette is harmless. Marinette has never shown pushiness or aggression toward Adrien. Marinette feels safe- moreso than anyone else in his life besides Plagg- and his trust in her has been building since Season 1.
Tumblr media
In ‘Gamer’, Adrien takes an ego hit. He dazzles his classmates by winning against Max- you can see a little Chat Noir coming out in his body language there. Only to be beaten easily by Marinette during their practice session. He laments his insecurities to her and she comforts him by giving him her lucky charm bracelet. This becomes a symbol of their friendship and mutual support and clearly means a lot to Adrien. It’s a comfort. He keeps it on him wherever he goes.
Tumblr media
In ‘The Gorilla’, Adrien almost tells Marinette that he is uncomfortable modeling. I’ve seen people saying that his telling her in ‘Risk’ was “unearned”, but the truth is, he felt comfortable enough to open up to her 3 seasons prior.
Marinette takes Adrien to hide from his unhinged fan club in the fountain. She comments on how it’s awesome that he has such a popular ad and he says “I don’t know about that. It’s actually pretty… embarrassing”. He gets distracted by her pajamas and she becomes embarrassed at his wandering gaze. Then his fan club shows up and the chance to further elaborate never comes up, but he was super close to sharing his discomfort around modeling with her in that moment without the effects of Risk.
Tumblr media
In ‘Frozer’, Marinette is the first person Adrien asks for advice about Kagami after ultimately deciding against all of the “close” adults in his life. Nino may have been the most obvious choice- but considering Nino’s hopelessness in ‘Animan’, I can understand why he trusted Marinette. And he felt comfortable enough with Marinette as a safe zone to ask her to come along.
Tumblr media
In ‘Malediktator’, while the rest of the class is celebrating Chloe’s curt exit, Adrien is extremely put off. When Marinette explained what happened, he felt comfortable enough with her to disagree and to call her out on the “She was useless anyway” comment. I’m not sure what Adrien expected from Marinette after this. He’s used to people either punishing him for disagreeing or just ignoring him/standing their ground. But Marinette feels guilty and takes steps to remedy what happened and bring Chloe back- something he clearly appreciated in the end.
Tumblr media
In the ultra controversial ‘Chameleon’, Adrien advised Marinette not to take an aggressive route with Lila and she listens, ceasing to try to expose her (*in an earlier edit, I said it didn’t stick, but I realized her exposure attempts in Catalyst came before Chameleon. Marinette did actually stick to her word.) Compare this to his conversation with Lila in the same episode in which he asks her not to lie to him and warns her about the class turning against her. He’s nice about it and offers his support, but Lila jumps on the defensive and accuses him of ‘playing superhero’. Similarly, when he gives Chloe advice, she won’t even change her ways for more than a day- even under threat of losing her friendship with him.
Lastly, Adrien allows himself to “slip” with Marinette. He trusts that she won’t admonish him for his jokes or “being silly” Marinette is quite silly herself (that’s why they made such a goofy couple in ‘Elation’). She only takes offense to his prank in Puppeteer 2 because she humiliated herself. She even apologizes profusely for the misunderstanding later.
Tumblr media
‘Risk’ made clear to Adrien what MLB has been building to for seasons: Marinette feels like a safe and comfortable space for Adrien. His father is cold and controlling. Nathalie is cold and in league with his father. His bodyguard is emotionally distant and silent.  Chloe is pushy and doesn’t listen to him. Felix antagonizes him.  Lila is dishonest and manipulative with him. Ladybug has been a neglectful partner who he secretly reasons only wants him around as far as his miraculous can assist her. Kagami led their entire relationship and he felt uncomfortable challenging her. Nino was fine until Rocketear where he denounced Adrien’s entire alter ego as a useless playboy.
Even the fact that Marinette has never managed to confess properly, is a safety to Adrien. She’s never put any pressure on him. She’s always just been that cute, silly girl who is compassionate with him and stands up for what she believes in. Never controlling. Not at all intimidating. Down to listen. She’s (the everyday) Ladybug without the strife. Marinette is “safe”.

Adrinette April Day 16 (What If) + Secret Bonus AU Pitch
The Miraculous Jazz Ensemble (What if... Band Kids?)
Five minutes and forty seconds. Five minutes and forty seconds. That was how long it took Marinette to work up the courage to ask Adrien. She wasn't counting the half-hour during lunch, the odd few minutes during every passing period, or even the days since she'd thought of asking, because those had technically all failed. All she ever really needed were those five minutes and forty seconds.
Marinette approached Adrien, who was currently immersed in his homework. He'd been taking accelerated math classes this year, breezing through calculus and a bunch of other theorems and rules that Marinette could never wrap her head around just yet, and he had a habit of working on his calc homework whenever he could just to pass the time. Chewing on the end of his pen, too.
Marinette sat down next to him; He didn't seem to notice her. She scooted closer—once, twice, not a third time. Just enough distance to not break out into a ball of sweat
"Whatcha doin'?" she asked, trying to look cool. If she'd failed (and she sure felt like she did) Adrien didn't seem to notice.
"Integrating by parts!" Adrien smiled, closing his textbook. "It's fascinating, really." He then opened his mouth as if he was going to explain the concept, but he stopped, thinning his lips. "What are you doing?"
Marinette, as always, responded with nervous laughter. "U-uhm, just sitting here!" she said, grinning back. "Hanging out with my best buddy!" ...She wanted to kick herself in the butt for saying that out loud. Way to friendzone yourself, Marinette.
For a moment, as the lack of conversation topic set in for the both of them, Marinette realized that she might, again, need another five minutes. But she didn't have those five minutes anymore, and if she was going to ask Adrien she needed to ask him now.
"Are you, uh— Are you free on Friday?" she asked, unable to look him in the eye. Her fingers couldn't decide on how to link together, her hands fidgeting in something similar to somersaults, over and under and over again. She let herself glance quickly at Adrien to make sure he hadn't dissipated into thin air; There he was, cute as ever, the afternoon sunlight making it seem like his hair was glowing."
"I am," he replied. "Why?"
Oh, god, oh god, now it sounded like she was asking him on a date! And if she made it sound like that then everybody else would think it was a date, and if people started to think that her and Adrien were dating she'd barely be able to concentrate ever again! C-cause then they might hold hands or sit next to each other at lunch or—
"You do band! Yes!" she exclaimed, falling back on the bench somewhat. "Th-that is a thing we both do!"
"Marinette, we're in the same band class. We're in one of the only band classes."
"Y-yes. And, uhm— I was just wondering if.. you'd like to..."
She glanced at Adrien. Then the floor. His textbook. Adrien again. Everywhere else in the world.
"...Join a jazz ensemble with me."
Adrien raised his eyebrows, surprised by the sentiment. He placed his textbook beside him on the bench, turning in towards Marinette more.
"I didn't know we had a jazz department."
"W-well, we don't yet," Marinette stammered. "Mr. E told me he's been working on it for years, and he encouraged me to ask around t-to see who was interested. Alya is interested, and so is Nino, so I thought it'd only be fair if I asked you, too."
As if he knew exactly what would catapult her heart into orbit, Adrien took one of her hands in his, staring her down.
"Marinette," he said. "This is serious. Do you really think we're ready for this?"
"ACK-!" She pushed him away, worried that if he was too close he'd be caught in the blast radius a sudden heart explosion. It was clear by the way he was giggling that he meant it as a joke, but that didn't make her any less flustered. "You're so mean, Adrien!"
"Sorry, sorry. I am honored, though. So what's Friday?"
"Friday is the interest meeting. Mr. E wanted to make everything as official as possible. ...That's also when we'll see if we have enough people for a full band, rather than just an ensemble." Marinette fidgeted again, now feeling like she was again far too close to Adrien for it to be friendly. "Y-you don't have to do it, though."
"I mean, if it's another chance to see you, I wouldn't mind," he replied. "I'll be there Friday. I'm assuming after school."
oh sweet baby jesus he couldn't just say things like that out loud. holy cow. wow.
"Awesome!" Like a total dork, Marinette gave Adrien a double-thumbs-up. Now that he'd said yes, she needed to get out of there before she made an even bigger fool of herself. "I, uh— I have to go! ...And, uh. Do some things," she said, standing up so fast it gave her a head rush. "See you tomorrow!"
'If it's another chance to see you', 'another chance to see you'. She'd be thinking about that for the rest of her life, maybe. 'Another chance to see you', and he wouldn't mind. He maybe even would like it.
Seven minutes and one second, seven minutes and two...

Is it just me or Adrien's eyes look empty in this scene
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are some scenes were he had life in his eyes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I honestly think his eyes were like that in the finale because of the death of his father. Hopefully there is nothing more.
And what's with the reflection in Mari's eyes anyway.
