Can I please have a American Horror Story or Slasher match up please? 💕

I've got really pale skin (which I love), white blonde shoulder-length hair with the tips dyed dark purple on one side and dark green on the other, a few ear piercings, I'm somewhat curvy (which I'm not insecure about), around 5'5 high and I'm always wearing only black clothing with a gothic/punk/metal/alternative style.

My own love language is words of affirmation and acts of service and from others it's physical touch and quality time. I'm female, interested in men, but I'm also open for women, so it's kind of both.

Meeting new people, being in crowded places and in the center of attention make me really anxious and uncomfortable. Although it's easier if I can relay and concentrate on someone really close to me.

I have deep emotions, but they tend to overwhelm me and I struggle with communicating and procressing them alone, which leads me to relying on others but also understanding others and the world around me on a deeper level. I believe that's also why I'm so accepting, supporting and open-minded.

I love to help others, I tend to always put their well-being before my own and try anything possible to make it easier for them and take some weight off their shoulders, to lighten up someone's mind and make their worries less overwhelming. To put it simply, I hate to see others suffering and will do anything to help them.

I'm the happiest when the people I love are happy, when someone truly listens to me, my thoughts and feelings.

I'm a very loving, warm and passionate person. I care about the people who're close to me and I will go to great length to help them. Furthermore, I'm ultimately loyal and would never betray or let people I love down!

I hate when people believe they can define or generalize what's normal or beautiful, boring or annoying, typical or effective. All these are personal views and usually I find beauty where others don't, enjoy unusualness and uniqueness, macabre themes and despise mainstream and stereotypical things. Being like everyone else or fitting into some kind of box annoys me so much!

The nightsky inspires and fascinates me, just as much as rain calms me down and fills me with serenity, passion and happiness. My biggest passion is music and I could never live a day without it, it's like the air to breathe. I especially love (symphonic-,heavy-) metal!

I'm extremely shy, insecure and self-doubting, always believe that I'm annoying those around me. That's why I tend to distance myself and don't speak/act at all, in fear of embrassing myself even more. It helps if there's someone who helps, grounds and understands me in these times! With the right person, I can be quite sarcastic and a bit goofy.

I firmly believe in the power of honesty and wish to be respected and accepted as much as I do show others. I seek for fairness and tenderness in my (daily/social) life, but don't judge the contrasting thoughts of others and try my best to listen to them

My senses are pretty strong and my surroundings, especially combinated with my high social anxiety, sometimes lead me to anxiety and panic attacks, which I obliviously hate and am ashamed of. I struggle to get out of them on my own, but to someone really close to me it's actually not so hard.

I love watching movies and TV shows. To be honest, I prefer living in fictional worlds an daydreams over the real world. I'm especially enthusiastic about horror and fantasy. I enjoy driving around for hours (as a passenger), otherwise I prefer not leaving the house that much.

I'm living vegan and I'm really passionate about it. I wish to never ever harm an animal and to treat them with all the love my heart is capable of! If I could, I would help and adopt every single animal and care for them lovingly.

I'm quite clingy and like to be surrounded by everything that's even remotely that of someone who's close to me. If I could, I would spend every minute with them and feel as (physicially and emotionally) close to them as possible.

I'm longing for someone to fall in love with me, accepting and supporting me just as I'm. I'm not easy to get along with and I'm used to feel like a outcast and weirdo, I believe that putting up with me is quite a burden, which I also don't wish to put upon someone. I don't need a lot of people around me, just one fully by my side is more than enough!

He's the boss of the Magnus Institute and he knows everything that goes on in the building. He would definitely like a little regressor who imprints on him like a duckling :)

You can hang out in his office and have a corner of blankets and pillows where you can watch videos. He's the kind of man who talks out loud when he's working, so he'll start telling you about interesting things that are happening somewhere in the Institute: someone who isn't doing their work properly, or a new arcane artifact that was brought in.

Also, he knows when you're having a nightmare, and he'll already be beside you when you wake up. (He never wakes you up early though.)

Happy Halloween!! I absolutely love kinktober but with ya boy holding down two jobs, writing a whole fanfic for everyday in October isn't exactly viable 😭 BUT I've got something better ! You've heard of matchups now get ready for ...... Drum rollllll .... Kinky Matchups !

I don’t have a gender preference at all and my luv my darling my angel natsuo would be the daddy if possible.

I’m a very openly loving person but struggle with not feeling like I’m showing it in the right way. Not temperamental, quite easy to get along with BUT I can become withdrawn if I feel misunderstood or under-appreciated.

I’ve always felt like with both of us being water signs, natsu and I would be able to reach resolutions on most issues because our ways of dealing with conflict are the same. We are able to discuss it emotionally and openly.

Hi + DON'T apologize for rambling, i honestly would've loved to hear more!! thank yew actually for wanting to participate... natsuo is such an interesting choice, so i'm really berry excited for this n hope i do you both justice🥰

Honestly, I'm laughing thinking about this because I feel like you and Natsuo would have one of those elderly-like kids who's super mature even when they're really small. Very emotionally aware and verbal with their needs (starts talking super early + eloquently), even if the kind of stuff they express is all really normal, like when they do or don't like something, + when things are bothering them.

("mom, get this spider away from me now😟" asdjlkfajsd what kind of kid asks like that, you know?)

I also wanna say they have a bit of anxiety in them, too. Not anything that severe, of course, because their life is GOOD... but I see them as being a bit of a goody-goody in how they picked up Natsuo's good + hardworking nature and your worries about expressing affection. They always just want things to go smoothly, so if/when they don't... they get a bit nervous and confused trying to sort things out.

They're just definitely a natural problem solver (serious in a sweet way) who always wants to help people, like you + Natsuo w/ the chores, and their friends when they argue🥺

BUT... this levelheadedness also means they're very conflict adverse, and even more so given that they've never actually seen you and Natsuo... fight. Sure, little things may come up, but since you handle it all in very healthy ways... baby is always super frustrated when other people can't do the same. Just like you, they would much rather talk out a fight than have a screaming match... though this often leads to running away from situations they can't solve or where they aren't listened to.

It's somewhat funny because they're like this even when they're little... so there's a lot of instances where they come up to you all mad because another little kid started crying instead of using their words. Your healthy water sign communication has spoiled them, oh dear </333 (just kidding, hehe). But you still gotta comfort them.

(Also, I imagine at some point you + Natsuo sit them down and are like... "you know, it's okay to cry... right? Have tantrums? Express yourself? You're a kid!" and they're just like "?" because they're so good already LOL.)

Anyway, thinking this out, I was imagining a girl... but I'd also say this would fit really well for any boy you had, too. Either way, they'd definitely be a well-behaved, hand-gripper who'd need so much reassurance whenever they saw someone being Ridiculous (staring at you like this ಠ_ಠ)... but also extremely good natured and loyal. Not scared of sticking up for a friend or what's right❤️

So,

What a wild ride, everybody.

This tournament went live on July 13th, 3023, and concluded January 1st, 2024. For a long time before, I’d been wondering if I should try my hand at running one of these tournaments, and then I realized we hadn’t had a general tumblr-wide one for tragic characters. I knew that I didn’t know what I was getting myself into, but I decided to bite the bullet and take the URL. The rest is history.

I didn’t have a set plan, but I figured I could take 128 entries. And then in less than a week and a half, I had ~122. And honestly, I wasn’t happy continuing with just those I’d gotten so far, and thought it’d be unfair if it closed that quickly without warning, so I decided to up it to 256 with a max 2 characters per canon after preliminaries. Only after that did I go on a mad search to find brackets that were big enough for that, and I’d almost given up before I finally found these:

Those are all the characters that made it past prelims and into the competition. Some quite unexpected results came out of these matchups, round after round, and honestly I’d consider the first round to have had the most brutal competitions, because I had tried to do the best I could to match levels of popularity with each other, as far as I could tell. (Yeah, that’s why we had c!Tommy v Jon Sims and Primrose v Jinx.). But even eclipsing all of those, as the weeks went on, we were eventually met with Antigone versus Lloyd Garmadon. Ah, those crazy kids.

At some points it was stressful, in the early rounds when I had dozens of posts, each with edited images and alt text, to prepare for every round, but I never regretted starting this. As of posting, this blog has 2,020 followers and has made over 1,000 posts. This will be the last post on this blog—any future asks I receive I will answer privately back to the asker, or cannot be answered if they are anon—but it will always remain here for posterity. The link below is to the similarly-preserved google sheet compiling every word of every submission this tournament ever received.

I’d like to take this chance to say thank you to everyone who submitted characters, supplied photos, sent in propaganda, reblogged the polls, indoctrinated their teachers into greeklitsweep, and everyone who kept good sportsmanship when their blorbos proved so tragic they couldn’t even win. Thank you to the small group of URLs whom I’ve consistently recognized in my inbox from submissions all the way to finals, thank you for letting me know when a name was messed up, and thank you for your patience in-between rounds. (Shoutout to @elemom as well for having their tiktok on the original antigone/lloyd poll blow up.)

If you’ve stumbled upon this blog weeks, months, or even years after this was posted, I would direct your attention to the tag map in the pinned post to sift through the tumblr history you’ve just uncovered. I am straight, but supporting and go by she/her, maybe she/they, 16 year old, junior and taking cosmetology college classes, female standing at 5'7 and I have hazel eyes, really extremely light freckles only on the bridge of my nose, full lips, and an diamond/oval shaped face. My style is unique; I love layering skirts and dresses and sweaters and I love beanies and hats, and I always like to wear my black converse with granny-patterned-type socks. And it tends to be darker colors of clothing that I like. I love necklaces, rings and bracelets. My perfume is Pink Cashmere. I am an Aries and into astrology and crystals and spirituality, the paranormal and Christianity. I also vape. I'm kind of a chill person, but I can be loud/expressive at times. People rub off on me easily, for example, I tend to say things I've heard other people say, if I'm around them enough, for example my classmate says "period slay" and I started to say it. I tend to be the big sister of the friend group and the friend that has everything and ready for any situation type friend. I also make suxcxdal jokes. I like to draw when I have the motivation to. I love music, like can't go a day without listening to it, and I usually go for a walk for about 30 mins a day listening to music and sometimes at college I walk around the campus with one earbud in if I don't have anyone to talk to. I can play a *little* piano, but all I can play is fucking Old Macdonald. My last resort on Netflix to watch is true crime docs, I did have a Jeffrey Dahmer phase, I was extremely interested in his case, I did find him a bit attractive too, but disclaimer, I am NOT glorifying/praising him. He's a horrible person that happens to be a bit attractive. I also am a horror movie fanatic, my favorites have to be the Conjuring movies and the Insidious movies. And, of course, I love AHS. I think I might have ADHD, I get told that sometimes. I do have anxiety as well. I am mentally slow sometimes, and I struggle with focusing at times. Oh also I am a psychic and I can see spirits. I am extremely clingy, and I have mommy and daddy issues. I am very, very, very hxrny, I hate to admit it, I always make dirty jokes if I'm comfortable with someone. True to your word, you hadn’t answered when Jason messaged you. But he wasn’t too worried, earlier while he was busy at home, you had sent a message saying you got home fine and that you’ll be shutting off your phone soon.

Jason had been too busy to answer, but his heart swelled at the care you seemed to have for him. That you knew he’d worry about you without having to say something. Sure, his family cared about him but there was something different when you cared.

He shot a text back saying he’d be coming soon before going about cleaning his guns.

An hour later, he was finished and left his apartment with food on his mind.

The sound of knocking at your door broke your concentration. You blinked back to awareness just as another round of knocks sounded.

“Come in!” you called, leaning back from the coffee table to stretch. You let out a noise of satisfaction when your bones cracked.

“You should have your doors locked when you're home alone,” Jason called, closing the door behind him. “You never know what creep might come in.”

“Yeah, but I knew you were coming and I tend to hyper focus on my work,” you answered, turning around to watch Jason walk into the living room, carrying a couple of boxes of pizza. “Saves me the trip of opening the door.”

“There was a chance that it wasn’t me behind the door,” he said, setting the boxes down after you made some room for them.

“No, but I don’t have people come over.”

“What about your friends?”

“They have a key, and come unannounced. Aside from my neighbours, you're the only one who knocks.”

“Still, gotta be more cautious,” Jason warned, grunting as he sat on the floor beside you. “Hungry?”

“Starved.”

The two of you settled into a comfortable silence as you ate, only making idle conversation. The conversations ranged from what your favourite things are to embarrassed stories growing up, to darkest secrets.

Jason had kept his lips sealed with his secrets, but you weren’t mad about it. They were his, and his alone. If he didn’t want to share, he didn’t have to. And you made sure he knew you understood.

When there were only a few slices of pizza, and your stomach was full did you turn back to your homework. Reluctantly, you rather talk to Jason then do homework. But it wasn’t going to finish by itself and you needed the grade.

“Do you always work in silence?” Jason asked as he stood to stretch.

“Usually I have music playing, but the neighbours kept complaining about the noise level. And I don’t like blasting music in my ears,” you answered, and gestured towards your collection of CDs. “Help yourself if you find anything you like.”

Jason wandered over and whistled. “That’s quite the collection.”

“What can I say? Started it when I was, I don’t know, ten? And just kept collecting,” you said absentmindedly, “same goes with my books.”

“Let’s see what we have here,” Jason mumbled as he looked through them. “Classical, pop, rock, metal, jazz? Man you have a little bit of everything huh?”

“Yup.”

“Oh ho ho, what’s this?” Jason sang, catching your attention. You looked up just in time to watch Jason pull out a familiar CD. “A mixed CD? I didn’t know you were the type.”

You jumped up and tripped over the couch when you launched yourself over it. Picking yourself up from the floor, you ran and jumped onto Jason’s back, reaching for the CD he held above his head.

“Holy shit,” he grunted at the impact, stumbling forward, trying to regain his balance. “You’re a lot heavier than you look.”

“That is not something you tell a person,” you muttered, making a noise as you tried to reach for the CD. “Give it back.”

“What’s on there? Porn?”

“No,” you said, flustered, “why would I do that?”

“No you're right, you’re not that type of person,” he mused, moving the CD further from you. He glanced up and laughed. “I didn’t know you were such a hopeless romantic.”

“Shut up,” you squealed and shouted in victory when you succeeded in grabbing the CD from him. “Ha!” you said and jumped off him, you left the room to hide the mixed tape elsewhere.

“You know, there isn’t a hiding place here that I couldn’t find,” Jason said dryly when you walked into the living room.

“That I have no doubt,” you replied, sitting back on the floor. “But that cd is not one I would like to listen to right now.”

“Is it embarrassing?”

“Yes. I rather not cringe at all the memories those songs will bring.”

“That’s a juicy story I can tell,”he said, turning back to back your collection.

“Only if you tell me your death story,” you shot back. When Jason said nothing, you nodded. “I thought so.”

“Okay, so we both have stories we don't want to talk about,” he confessed, “doesn’t mean they’re great.”

“Agree to disagree.”

Silence settled between the two of you as you continued with your paper and Jason kept looking through your CDs. A few minutes later, the room was filled with Tchaikovsky.

“Never thought you’d be a Nutcracker fan,” you commented as the first song started.

“Sometimes you just want to listen to the classics,” he said, moving towards your bookshelf. “Do you mind?”

You looked up to see him gesturing towards your books. You shook your head and went back to your paper. “I thought you were gonna bring a book.”

“I forgot it at home.”

“Too excited to come see me?” you teased.

“No, I had food on my mind,” he teased back and laughed at the look you gave him. “And you, I was also thinking about you too.”

You hummed, watching as he finally picked a book and made his way to the couch. He plopped down, he moved around a bit until he was comfortable before opening the book. You tilted your head trying to read the title and smiled.

“You’re full of surprises, Jason,” you said before turning back towards the coffee table again.

“So are you,” he shot back, and that was the end of the conversation. For a while, the only sounds were the music, the occasional page flipping and a pencil scratching against paper.

There was a peace that settled with the two of you as you did your own things. A peace that both of you haven’t felt in awhile, so much that you kind of forgot the presence of the other person.

You stayed on the floor most of the time, only getting up to use the bathroom and to switch out the CDs once they finished. A couple of hours later, your homework was finally done, you sat back and stretched.

“Hey, I just remembered I have som-” you cut yourself short when you looked up to see Jason fast alseep on the couch. You weren’t sure at what point he had fallen asleep, but it looked like he needed it.

So, instead of waking him up, you let him sleep. Standing up, you reached down to grab the Jane Austen book he was in the middle of reading. You made sure to bookmark it in case he wanted to finish it the next time he was over.

Setting it on the coffee table, you made your way over to turn down the music until it was just softly playing before grabbing a blanket to cover Jason with.

“Rest well,” you whispered as you tucked in him slightly. “I think you need it.”

You turned back to your bookshelf and grabbed a book for yourself before going to sit back on the floor where you were doing your homework and started reading.

Jason woke up to his phone vibrating against his leg. He blinked, confused about where he was. The ceiling he was looking at didn’t look like his, and the last thing he remembered was reading on the couch. At your house.

“Oh shit,” he mumbled, as the puzzle pieces fell together. “I fell asleep.”

“Turn it off,” came a mumble from beside him. He turned his head to find you leaning against the couch, head tilting up fast asleep. “Five more minutes, Mom. I’m tired.”

Smiling, he grabbed his phone from his pocket and glared at the name that flashed across his screen. “What do you want, Tim?”

“Where are you?” Tim asked instead of answering. “You were supposed to be here like, two hours ago.”

“I told you I wasn’t going out tonight. Bruce knows this, so does Dick and they said they were okay with it.”

“Yeah, but you promised.”

“You and I both know, I didn’t promise shit,” he whispered, “whatever it is, you’ll have to deal without me.”

“Its not the same,” Tim whined. “And why are we whispering?”

“None of your business.”

“You’re with Y/N aren’t you?” Tim asked, and Jason could tell he was smiling.

“You know, I hope that whatever Y/N does to you, you’ll suffer,” Jason snapped and tried to keep his laugh in at the “hey!” Tim yelled.

“What did I ever do to them? We haven’t even met!”

“Enough that they’re out for blood,” Jason said, not wanting to elaborate. “I have to go.” He hung up before Tim could question him further, and stuffed his phone back in his pocket. Turning his head to look at you again, he thought about what to do next.

Sleeping on the floor like that couldn’t be comfortable and he knew should wake up and leave, but it was late and he wanted to let you sleep. Instead, he slowly got off the couch without waking you. He went to the bathroom before going around the apartment to lock the windows and doors, and turned off the lights that were on.

He made his way back to the living room, and gently picked you up before setting you back down on the couch. He tucked you in with the blanket you had given him.

Satisfied that you were safe in your own apartment, he turned to leave. But before he could, something grabbed his arm, stopping him. He stalled and turned around slowly, and raised an eyebrow when he noticed you staring at him.

“It’s late, Jason,” you mumbled, “I’m not going to let you go home this late.”

“How are you going to stop me?” Jason challenged. Instead of answering, you tugged his arm hard enough to make him stumble towards you. He braced himself against the back of the couch, preventing him from falling completely onto you. “You’re very bold when your half asleep,” he joked. You stuck your tongue out at him and tugged on his arm again.

“Shut up and lay down,” you mumbled, trying to get up from the couch. Jason moved to sit down beside you. “I’m too tired to move to my bed. So, you can take my bed or share the couch.”

He watched as you curled up on the one side of the couch and moved the blanket so he could have some too. “Are you sure?”

“I’m sure,” you mumbled, eyes already closing. “I don’t make the people I care about leave in the middle of the night. You never know what could happen on the way home.”

Touched, and not wanting to make you worry, Jason took the corner of the blanket you weren’t using and settled down on the couch. He didn’t fall asleep right away. Opting instead to read more of his book. Within minutes of reading, however, sleep claimed him.
