Even tho im on my haitus i atleast wanted to stop by to drop like a quick thank you to my friends, and followers or just people to like my stuff :)

Even better I made a whole ramble on how I joined the Octonauts community, how it saved me from loosing my sanity and the great community.

Cuz I wanted to do this for my tumblr anniversary but uhh someone loss that old account- so check it out if you want to-

Around late spring to the end of July in 2023 I was currently going through an unsafe relationship to say the least. And around the end of July when the relationship ended, I felt so defeated and vulnerable.

For those concerned I’m doing much better trust me bro! I won’t go too deep but I was scared of being vulnerable and talking it out to someone about it. The one time I did, the person never believed me, causing me to want to just separate from “friends” in real life.

It’s now August. And I was currently hyper fixated on Octonauts. I was on tumblr trying to find screenshots of the characters so I can put them in some hunger games simulator but then I saw someone asking for a discord Octonauts server link.

I was curious and decided to use the link in question. There I got instantly welcome and everyone was so nice and stuff. Surprisingly it wasn’t hard to become well known in the server too! It just took a few conversations and fanarts of people's sonas/ocs.

Seeing people who I knew both on discord and tumblr posting and sharing art made me get inspired to post my own art too on my tumblr account. Me and people would even play games together like roblox uno, mm2, gartic, so much!

Of course there would be the usual rude people on the server or on tumblr. And what I like about these people is that ye know we got each other's backs and all. If someone is dealing with things they would go out of their way to contact them and ask if they’re ok.

So many things that I've drawn for here are from ideas from these people! From inside jokes to random conversations! I remember when I accidently got my tumblr account deleted these people were so quick to help me out. I’ve gotten so many gifts from them too! From drawings, to even just making it to game night to join whatever game we were all playing!

I know I just kept calling these guys people and they. Which won’t really help this next part out but I wouldn’t call these people like random strangers. I actually saw and would call every single one of them as a friend of mine and sometimes I feel like these servers and tumblr mostly like the whole octonaut community as just a second home to me.

(Yall I just want to say if I ever said something rude or out of pocket y'all I’m so sorry lol)

I just wanna thank my friends on discord, tumblr, followers or just people who like my little octonauts blog. Idk how I managed to actually socialize with other users- being honest I don’t think I could nail it off again maybe but like-

One day we all would go our own paths but I’m so glad to make friends on the internet lol- Kinda reminds me of my animal jam times. Uhh closing statement ummm thank you octonauts for saving my life ig. And my friends lol. sorry to that one person who i know irl i had to block for this- nobody needs to know it LOL

mini me banner I made originally with the intention of using it for my ko-fi account, but I realized I don’t have the energy to keep something like that meaningfully updated, so now it’s just a general banner for my socials if I feel like it

#I do have a ko-fi I just don’t advertise it really because currently I’m not in need of extra financial help because job #like on one hand it would be great to make money off of making things I enjoy but on the other hand #I would feel beholden to the whims of supporters and feel the constant need to be making things I think they’d like #or things that would potentially make me more likeable and make me more money #so in that sense I think ultimately I’m a lot happier having a financially stable job and thus allowing myself to make things I want #decoupled from the expectation that they could be profitable and having my creativity tied to my ability to pay bills #I still have my inprnt shop tho where I put some of my bigger pieces and I appreciate the support of it #anyway this was not intended to be a monologue I just got carried away #capitalism is hell but drawing silly pictures of my OCs makes the weight feel just a bit lighter #go draw a silly picture of your OCs #digital art #also secrets the government doesn’t want you to know: you can just draw yourself as a lil elf wizard whenever you want #mini me

I recently decided to semi revive some of my crusty dusty splatoon ocs from when I was like 12, so here’s all of the goobers! Meet Cherry (she/her), Slosh (he/they), Egg (they/them), and Blast (she/they)

I am never drawing splatoon weapons again! holy shit that fucking sucked!#on the bright side I got to mess around a bit with some hair style concepts I’ve been rotating in my head #also I’m still working on giving these guys an updated story but my basic idea is that they’re a professional tower control team that has #been facing some conflicts as of late due to them all getting old enough to start having aspirations outside of their team #cherry is from the domes but her parents left with her when she was around 10 #blast went to the same school as her and the two became pretty close friends as selective mute buddies #then at some point cherry caught wind of this cool new sport called tower control and was like woahhh I wanna do that #so she just went up to the first person near the battle lobby she could find and was like hey how do I join?#and he got super excited since he has a reputation for being incapable of shutting up so someone willing coming up to him came as a shock #they showed her where to get weapons and how to join battles and the two became battle buddies real quick #this lead to blast getting super worried and anxious as she didn’t want to see her only friend get hurt or stolen from her #at which point cherry was like oh I know! why don’t you come battle with us?#and blast was like wait wait wait no what if I die and dont come back and then die again :[#they managed to come to a compromise for a while tho and eventually blast was able to just barely squish past her fear enough to start #being kind of interested in tower control as she had started watching the other two play #and while she was still anxious abt the idea eventually she sheepishly admitted she wanted to give it a try #and she ended up really liking it! so the three kept playing together #and eventually they started to feel more and more like an actual team and egg noticed #they had been scouting a team to join for a lil while now and after getting to play with the three quite a few times and getting on friendly #terms with them they were like hey what if we became like an actual team who do tournaments and stuff
