I’ve seen more people talk about the dps book lately so i wanna do my take on it cus it really bothers me how different it is from the movie. I wrote a lot cus i got really carried away so if you’re reading this brace yourselves. <3

its not good like i think the movies better

the SA scene is knox at the party which was so unnecessary and really creepy (not gonna go into too much detail in case anyone’s uncomfortable about that sorta stuff.

kinda felt emotionless especially with neil and todd

didnt really get the characters right?. idk it just felt bland

cut out the desk set scene (theres no unmanned flying desk set, neil and todd talk and its really sad and then todd walks off)

the author cut out the neil and todd scene that helped shape their friendship (and possibly more) but decided to have knox assault chris at a party? no.

knox is literally just chris obsessed

very fast paced and you can't really connect with the characters? if you know what i mean?

would be nice if it showed actual insight to the characters rather than nust dialogue and describing whats happening

kinda removed the queerness of the movie and everything was just BLAND

mr keating was not the same in the book.. again with the use of the word bland.

like a book wasnt needed? and it was made afyer the movie? like just leave the movie alone it was great.

another thing i found weird was towards the end (neil's death) it was switching between neil's death scene and knox and chris?? like it went from knox and chris kissing to mr perry finding neil in the study. that was confusing and a bit insensitive?? or am i just overreacting

doesnt come close to the raw emotion and tenderness and love of poetry like the movie

the book puts a tiny bit more meeks and pitts in there but really not a lot.

Okay so sorry i ranted A LOT there but yeah. If you actually read all of that thanks. Personally, i dont think the book was worth the money and you're better off just watching the movie. I read it for a laugh most of the time becuase the writing style can be so cringe.

In short: book is without soul. makes knox creepy. movie is better.

I like König purely becuase tall masked man but Gaz. Our man Gaz. He's beautiful. He's committed to what he believes in and he delivers some good one liners. In my eyes it's the same shit different fandom. Whenever a popular piece of media gains traction the only poc characters mysteriously disappear. I want to make it clear to the finicky people of fandoms you don't have to read or write or draw characters you don't like.That being said a discussion needs to be had about how fandoms often treat poc characters. To see people replace the main character with someone not even evolved in the main campaign is mind boggling. "But I don't know Gaz well enough" then you don't know Price well enough seeing as they're with each other most of the campaign. "But the actors sexuality" let me tell yall now how yall don't care. There's plenty of actors whose characters you write for are married with whole ass families or of a different sexuality and you still write their characters ignoring those facts. Yall didn't care before and yall dont care now don't try and act like you have some sort of upper ground. If you're not attracted to Gaz that's fine no one is forcing you to be. But completely writing out his character or not including him in TF 141 edits is mad. There's plenty of fics I've read where Gaz is not the main love interest but more of a friend/brotherly figure but at least he is there and the writer does his character justice. But I will say the Gaz fics are some of the fluffiest ones I've read. Real heart warming stuff.

I also thirst after König because he's a big masked man, I devour all the smut content and the edits, I'm as thirsty as the next hoe in this place, there's nothing wrong with thirsting after König or Keegan or whoever else. There's also nothing wrong with NOT thirsting after Gaz, like no one is forcing someone to like a character they don't, that's just stupid. Also if you haven't played the games because you don't have access to do so or even don't want to that's totally valid and fine, many people read the wikis/watch vids/engage with the fandom and that's really cool to see, even if you're just here to thirst, been there done that.

With that being said, the stupid excuses that raise concern in this fandom are totally valid to be talked about. 1) "I'm not attracted to Gaz/I don't add him in 141 thirst content because Elliot is gay" What does the actor's sexuality have to do with the character? As far as I know Gaz' sexuality is nowhere discussed or confirmed, same way for the rest of the characters so why on earth does Elliot's sexuality matter in this context?

I don't see this being a big deal to people who ship Ghost x Soap since Neil and Samuel are only involved with women irl because guess what? It.doesn't.matter. They're ACTORS. Their personal lives have nothing to do with the characters they portray so why is it only an issue when it comes to Gaz/Elliot?

2) "I don't know him well enough." From that it's clear that you haven't played the games cause Gaz is literally who you play as in both MW1/MW2 so you know him as much as Price and MORE than Ghost or Soap. Which again, it's totally fine but when it's paired with König who you literally don't know cause that mf has only 1 paragraph on his wiki and the only thing said about him is that he had anxiety growing up (that some people infantilize and it's weird) in freaking 141 content that he has NOTHING to do with but leave out the first member of TF141 then...?

I've had many people under my posts commenting that the way some people treat Gaz in this fandom feels kinda racist and I admit this was not my initial thought due to me being privileged enough to not have it as such but after reading all these comments it does seem that way for some (like I said many do it due to either thirsting after masked men or haven't played/bothered with the games) and it's not fucking okay cause that goes further than fiction (someone said that 'oh they're fictional, they don't care if they're included or not' yeah Emily but you're excluding a 141 member from 141 content who happens to be a poc and his VA/FA is a gay man so let's talk about it.)

To the people who get annoyed/upset that I talk about this as if I don't have the right to, if you're in a fandom you can talk about the things you don't like/criticise certain behaviour without it being "such a big deal" since we're talking about fictional characters, when people are engaging with a fandom, spend hours reading/watching/playing content, they're also allowed to talk about things they don't like in said fandom. Relax.

What do you think about a deaf billy AU?

where Neil moved his family to the middle of nowhere Indiana because he knows 80s bumfuck nowhere doesn’t have a lot of support for disabled ppl and hates his son (as we all know)

At first billy tries to hide it, he had gotten used to learning how to read lips and make inferences on what people were saying, if he happened to miss something? He’d just brush it off, saying he wasn’t paying attention.

Billy might have a slight deaf voice, Neil probably came along with his “no son of mine” spiel so Billy had to learn how to speak as Neil thought was “normal”.

Joyce, concerned, waits until the next time Billy is in her store to ask if everything is okay. Billy panics, he thought he was doing perfect, if he doesn’t his dads gonna kill him, so he very quickly excuses himself out of the store.

steve helping billy out in the classes they share together and even in the classes they dont he finds a way to get notes from other people without letting them know its for billy, and billys constantly wondering how steve keeps pulling this off but steve wont reveal his secrets. them developing this silent language on the basketball court that makes them unbeatable... many thoughts many thoughts

I absolutely agree with something being passed to Aziraphale during their kiss. I have watched the scene several times now and can spot the thing myself. I can see it in the photos you guys have as well.

I also stand by my theory there's a body swap going on. I wasn't entirely sure when it happened, until probably tonight. I know not everyone agrees with me but right now that's fine. Whatever.

Nightingales is DEFINITELY a code word. Got that straight off, wouldn't be able to tell you 100% what exactly for, except to me maybe it's saying "we need to do the body swap again".

Here's the thing: I had to go back and watch the body swap in S1 before I felt confident in this. I will stand by this theory now because I'm pretty certain of it.

There's clearly missed signals and unsaid things. I think the conversation we see is not everything that was said, based on the camera angles, the fact that so many of those lines can easily be pulled for sound bites and not seem odd/off, and the fact that their actions when out of shot don't entirely match up to what's being said. But the gist of the conversation is the same. They eventually come to the understanding that something needs to happen and they're not going to like it.

Here's where I think things change.

Nightingales is the signal that there's a swap that needs to happen. Crowley has already told Aziraphale that he can't leave the bookshop. Crowley knows this, and he also knows that the only way to get to Heaven is by having an angel escort him there. Aziraphale on the other hand will have no problems going whenever he needs to. Crowley needs to be taken, so he needs his Azi-suit.

With Crowley-as-Aziraphale(CAA) in heaven, he'll be able to do whatever mischief he needs/wants to. He can clearly already access files up there still. We know he has to have been a powerful/higher up angel before his Fall. He just needs a way in first.

When did the body swap happen?

Good question, and it took me a lot of thinking and rewatching of that flipping kiss to finally decide and work out when it was; the moment Aziraphale "allows" himself to hold Crowley.

What am I on about? I'll tell you.

Rewatch the body swap in S1. They hold hands, time stops, and you see them change back. Obviously CAA and Aziraphale-as-Crowley (AAC) are sat in their usual spaces so the characters are in the wrong seats. Once they're back, they look normal. Everything is tickety-boo.

Except in the KISS, they're very much in the same positions. Of course, Aziraphale places his hands on Crowley briefly, allowing for stability, a time freeze, and the chance to switch round before resuming. Probably gives them a little time to confirm some stuff too. There's so many camera cuts and frame changes that allow for this to be true, otherwise why not just show it from one angle? And why is that dang clock also skipping time suddenly yes I know Neil may have said it's just a continuity error at one point but I don't trust him because he also lies and it's way too obvious with that clock in the background

So what about the bullet/metal ball in CAA mouth? Definitely Aziraphale's memories of his chat with Metatron, and anything else CAA may need. (This isn't a repeat, this is a mirror of the bullet catch. Crowley fired the bullet, Azi caught it. This time, Azi fires the bullet, Crowley catches it.) CAA then says the phrase he knows AAC will understand, and that also sounds like Azi to anyone listening, and AAC responds. Like codes. "I forgive you... Dont bother." Exit: Azi-as-Crowley.

Of course Metatron then swans in and interrupts CAA while he's still getting his bearings, and mentions the Second Coming. I don't think even Crowley expected it to be this. Hence the Look he gives AAC.

Metatron still gives CAA a slightly suspicious look in the elevator, which I don't think many people mention enough. And that whole end credits bit of them as they're heading off is just... Odd. BUT, and here's where I'm certain it's CAA, the look of sheer determined destruction on Azi's face is the same from S1 body swap. I went back and checked, just to be sure. That's 100% Crowley right there. And now he has the bullet in his mouth, access to heaven thanks to being escorted by Metatron, and Aziraphale still able to look after the bookshop in disguise.

Points I also want to make

Crowley would not be the sort of person (demon/being) to just stand there and wait for Azi to go up to Heaven. We've seen he'll just go off without a word. At least twice. (When Azi is in thought about Job, and when Nina talks to him after she confirms she'll be at the Street Traders meeting). Crowley doesn't linger.

Crowley would also not be the one to choose to listen to A Nightingale Sang. That is all Aziraphale babyyyyyy. The Bentley knows them both well enough by now. Crowley likes his rock and Bebop, Azi likes his classical, more soothing tunes. Crowley certainly wouldn't listen to a song if he was upset with it. Azi allows himself to hear it before turning it off. He's the sentimental one.

We understand perfectly well that both Crowley and Aziraphale embody religious trauma, yes in different ways, but they do and that’s why we love and find them so relatable.

Now, bear with me. I’m focusing on my favourite demon, my favourite being.

Crowley was “born” an angel. He was created to follow all those rules and walk a certain path. He created beautiful things on his early years, and Aziraphale was there with him since then.

Since before his fall. Which Aziraphale warned him about. Because asking questions is never good when higher ups don’t want them asked nor answered nor the seed of doubt/curiosity out there.

So Crowley fell and became a demon. Part of him will always be an angel, he cannot, despite how much he acts and wants to be away from that side of him, but he cannot part from his own self. And Aziraphale is a constant…ease to that painful memory, that perhaps he can actually dont ever focus on his own angel side but on the actual angel who deserves everything, by his side.

However destiny and history unfolded, they could always count on the other.

Crowley loved being apart from hell too, not bc its darkness bothered him, he adapted and understood it quite quickly, that it’s part of all things. But bc he needs a bit of light to create his greyness, the one he lives in with his angel, om earth, their own…plane of existence if you will.

There are no sides, they are just them, “us”, together.

Through history we see Crowley being extremly protective of his little light, his angel, his greyness, his comfort, hi reminder that he isn’t completly damned and that he deserves happiness (in whatever form he can get with Aziraphale).

Crowley, as we know, was afraid of losing Aziraphale because he didn’t know, had forgotten, how to love without him. He didn’t believe in any sides, just theirs. He wanted to believe in them so badly he forgot to actually communicate it. And never thought, despite Aziraphale’s doubts, that he would not, after everything they have lived through together, that his angel would not chose him, would not believe as strongly in them like he did. Not enough to stay.

His biggest fear became a reality. Losing, by the hands he almost lost himself, by the hands that casted him out, by the hands that are supposed to be “good”, to be “light”, by the hands that always promise but are never goodly “human”, by the hands that don’t ever “feel”. He lost him by the side that wasn’t supposed to exist as a possibility for either of them, not after everything.

Aziraphale needs to heal and realise the same thing Crowley did a long time ago and that he thought his angel also did, before they noth can be together, truly, be their own side.

Aziraphale needs to realise he’s being used again, and that he does not need Heaven, nor believe in good or bad, to believe in light or darkness. He can be his own way of “good” and it’s okay, he can be light grey, and it’s okay. That’s right.

@neil-gaiman there was not a good omen at the end of season two, not on the surface. But under it, a good omen can be that it’s innevitable for Aziraphale to come to terms with what Crowley did, and to believe enough on himself and on what he and Crowley have.

whats ur non mainstream film taste then? genuinly curious to hear. as someone whos ended up in some weird ass corners of the film world like Neil breen Zachary Oberzan 0 budget stuff i love hearing what kind of weird indie corners other people have gotten into :3

i will talk a lot below that prob wont be interesting anyway, but i have to say first that i mostly stopped watching movies and now i mostly watch things @yasminewestbank chooses (not all the time but mostly) bc shes a movie nerd, so she picks movies that are usually either genuinely good or at least watchable, and if it was just me alone id prob not be bothering to watch those anyway, bc even a great movie just doesnt give me that much. i suffer from pretty severe apathy :( so if u want someone who hypes up genuinely good movies rather than me who is like "this is genuinely good but im still apathetic and dont really care" then yasmin is better to talk to. (im also generally more of a nonfiction type when it comes to video content, i could hype up Tasting History on youtube most days of the week but i struggle to hype up any movie at all. oh, and animated shorts, there are always some interesting student films and stuff.) the rest ⬇

my taste is usually "its [symbolic or not] critical commentary on something i care about" (feminism and misogyny, classism, bigotry, racism, the queer experience, abuse, trauma, violence, human self development, etc etc) or "its portraying human experiences [internal and external] in an interesting or just realistic way", like. realistic but in a highly specific meaning of realistic. i dont care about realism as a concept itself in art (realistic visuals or realistic setting or realistic costume etc i rly do not care about), what i mean is just about capturing a real essence of human brains and experiences, not copypasting stereotypical ideas without meaning. i can also enjoy some more abstract like david lynch bc its expressing human feelings and experiences in an appealing way. im really big on symbolic stuff and will just keep talking about what different parts of the movie meant or represented after i watch something w yasmin.

(edit to add... i should prob note that many of the movies i mention have adult content and heavy topics depending on who you ask? but i assume ppl who read this would already know to check ratings and warnings)

on the criticising / teaching side of meaningful, it would be for example, Poor Things [2023].... on the realistic / documenting side, for example Burning [2018] or Naked [1993], and i liked ryuusuke hamaguchi's movies Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, and Drive My Car (tho that one has a really badly written scene in it by the end that i hated) for the characters too. i dont know if those are the best examples its more just off the top of my head. theres also mainstream movies that fit my criteria, so for that criticising / teaching side, there's for example Pleasantville [1998], and Pretty Woman, which yasmin told me ppl tend to hate, but if thats the case i think ppl really didnt understand what it was about (it showed so much about misogyny and class issues, coated in such a way that you could get average boomers to watch it as a "romantic" movie without being aware of the actual meaning of what youre going into, the same way pleasantville can be watched as a goofy gimmick movie without being aware of the meaning youre going into, tho pleasantville is heavyhanded by the end, and i guess pretty woman manages to still fly over ppls heads? but not too surprising considering all those mainstream things now will literally just explain every joke and every meaning.... its like all of media is mickey mouse clubhouse, you know?)

i more or less prefer to watch an animated short or a weird animation on youtube/social media than watching a good live action movie. some animated shorts i really liked recently are Au Revoir Jerome, GLOIRE AMERE 40000, and BOLAVLK/WEREAWOLF, and vewn stuff. and i like those Molly Moon game tiktoks, as an example of like, low production stuff…. i dont care at all how much money or time went into something, but bc im usually not actively seeking fiction video content on my own, its more about what falls into my lap by chance, or yasmin/someone shows me.

i thought of listing more movies but its kinda hard for me to remember them after a while (re: apathy). i remember i liked another one from the Poor Things guy called The Favourite but i barely remember what happens in it. I liked one called This Must Be The Place, and one called Annette. those are movies yasmin showed me or that she picked for us to try together.

oh, one movie i saw on my own that i liked a lot is And Then We Danced. it has some less good parts, but overall it for some reason really lives rent free in my head. it felt like i went and lived in georgia with the characters for an hour, idk, it was done in an immersive way that impressed me and i found appealing. another one i remember from years ago is Lille Soldat (little soldier) which i really enjoyed the main character in. that stuck with me. ive tried to find this movie to show to yasmin, but its been hard to find.

i used to watch lots of random movies (from different countries, different times in history, i had a phase where i watched a bunch of really old horror movies) but most of its been forgotten and then i just stopped watching movies whatsoever bc the mainstream ones are generally unwatchably bad and i didnt have motivation to go out of my way to find good movies anymore. its still hard even with good ones. like, The Square, and Triangle of Sadness, i watched with yasmin and it was fine, but i had already tried watching The Square alone and had to stop after a minute bc it just made me cringe and feel bored. but watching it together with her was fine and i did enjoy the meaning. so thats why i say i might not even be watching good movies if it was up to me alone....

if u werent interested in that ramble i hope u stopped reading before now for ur own good :D i have an opportunity to express myself in rambles -> i will express myself in rambles

@letmeaskdanielaquestion I hope you dont mind but I’m posting this because its impossible for me to answer fully in the replies. And I count this as another ask so just in case someone else has something similar to ask they can look to this one :] Also thank you again for the previous kind words!

And, hrm…about writing, yes I did write a lot before regimen, but its far FAR from being any good. Thankfully most of my early works have never seen the light of day (because they’re in a now dead and deleted fb group) and the ones that did never got off the ground and is lost in ff.net. I was a horrible, horrible, little goblin of a writer and a total weeb. If you cant imagine in, just know that I used stuff like “Kya~!” in the writing……..yeah, I’m choking from embarrassment how did you know?

I also understand the perfectionism bit btw. I’m diagnosed with OCD, and my brand of OCD makes me obsessed with perfection among other things, to the point where I risk bodily harm to achieve it. It took me years of therapy and medication to overcome it, so I understand giving up when you feel something isnt up to your standards. The best advice I can give is this:

When writing, your first draft is just that, your first draft, it doesnt matter if there are grammatical errors and wonky dialogue, its there for you to have fun with and go wild on, word vomiting whatever you feel is the best next sentence. Personally, it feels cathartic to put down all my thoughts on the paper instead of letting them fester in my head, at least its out and not bugging me from within my own mind. I dont sweat the details of my first draft, I just need the words out of my head and physically there so it doesnt bother me as much. Trust me, ideas love to nip and yap at any creative’s heels until they make them real, only then will you have your peace and quiet.

And if you want more order? Before your first draft, make a skeleton of your story, put down the events that happen in each chapter in bullet points. I assume you’ve read chapter 1 of Regimen already so I’ll give my chapter skeleton as an example:

Regimen: Act 1 Outlines

Ch1 - Escape

* Pick up from Armistice. Tom is stumbling through the woods trying to get back to base

* Introduce some unit mates and their relationships with Tom

* Tom hides the fact that the General is dead + his encounter with Tord

* Peace treaty is aired. Things go horribly wrong (Tord is a bastard snake here, remember that Neil)

* Tom announces his intention to escape Norway. The others follow.

* Add context to the world and the state of Norway at the moment, have Tom reflect on his relationship with Tord compared to others. (Hes wrong btw, he ***I erased this next part because the note spoils something***)

* The escape ends in tragedy. Most of the unit is destroyed.

And for inspo? I always suggest different media: books, shows, movies etc etc. Analyze them, see how the plot flows, what works and what doesn’t, how does the story progress? Do they use flashbacks? How often? Exposition? How much? etc etc.

But ah, take my advice with a grain of salt. I’m a professional visual artist, I’m just a hobbyist when it comes to writing ^^;

About those pictures of neil newbon from probably 20 years ago.

There is something that didnt feel right since the first and only time i saw them, i cant quite figure out why they bother me so much, and why i dont want to see them or for instance people thirsting over them.

I wont talk about if its good or bad to simp over him and what kind of comments one should or shouldn't do, you know when you are being respectful or not, im not your mom.

But something about those pictures... It makes me feel sick, it creeps me out, i very much prefer people doing the same with any other thing. Im not blind, the man is handsome, but god help me get out this feeling.

Its just me?

My thing is what do you think the first real fight between Steve and Billy is? Like with Billy's past obviously he wouldn't EVER do anything to hurt Steve. Again

But how would it go?? Like im trying to rattle my Harringrove brain and see if their first fight would end like. Billy does the same thing Max does obviously and tries to push Steve away so much omg.

Like they're fighting and Steve says "You cant be angry all the time, you're so angry. The world did nothing for you ever but you are trying to be better... I see it every day" he takes a deep death and looks at Billy

Billy stares at the ground, eyes stinging from the tears. Billy isnt going to cry in front of Steve, he hasn't yet.

"Be strong, don't be a Pussy. Only pussies cry" the words Neil used to repeat during baseball practice. Or when Billy got hurt echoed in this brain. He never saw his dad cry, even the day his mom left. Men don't cry Billy isn't going to cry.

Billy takes a long breath before looking at Steve, meets his eyes and his mouth opens before his brain can register what he's saying "well then we should just break up"

Steve stares suddenly bursting with hurt, after everything Billy just wants to throw it away? He forgave Billy for nearly killing him. "You dont mean that."

Obviously I am not the greatest BUT I feel like this is kinda how it would go??

oh my gosh I love that so much because you’re so right billy is absolutely the guy to push steve away, and really, anyone away if they show him any kind of affection because oh god what is that???

but okay okay okay

for their first fight I imagine it’s kind of like that, billy pushing everyone away because he doesn’t think he deserves anything good in his life because you know I’m just a sucker for this trope alright?

but what if it’s not all in billy’s head?

what if it’s steve’s friends, like dustin and nancy, always giving billy the side-eye when the two walk into a room together, and dustin airing out all of his disdain for billy publicly, in front of billy, to steve, telling him he could do so much better than billy.

and what if steve just laughs it off? what if he just doesn’t take it seriously, thinks dustin is just being jealous because now he can’t have steve’s undivided 24/7 attention, and what if he doesn’t notice that way billy’s face falls and he clams up and stops wanting to hang around the rest of their group.

because steve never stands up for him.

and billy just lets it all fester, boil up inside of him until he’s really starting to believe it. it’s one thing for him to think he’s not good enough, but it’s an entirely other thing for the people steve cares about to think it, and it’s a huge fucking thing when billy starts wondering if, because steve never says anything defending him, if he thinks it too.

that’s when billy starts pushing. because he’s not good enough for steve. they both know it. and billy can’t keep pretending it’s okay.

and it gets nasty. these boys have no. fucking. clue. how to communicate effectively with each other so it really does get to the point that billy is about ready to get a box and fill it with every little thing that belongs to him around steve’s house because he just needs to go. he’s not good enough for steve and he doesn’t want to be the poison infecting his life anymore.

steve thinks billy is trying to sabotage the relationship (which he is, but steve isn’t bothering to figure out why) and billy wants steve to fight for him to stay but steve’s too angry to do that and it’s all the miscommunication and now they’re fighting over the tiniest little things and it’s bad bad bad.

and billy literally packing up his things is finally that tipping point for steve to finally ask billy not to go and finally ask *why* he is doing all of this.

and that’s when billy finally says it. “I’m not good enough for you.”

and that just makes steve even more mad because billy doesn’t get to decide that. steve tells him that and billy just laughs.

“if you really believed that, then why don’t you ever say it?” and billy is holding back tears, because it hurts every time he thinks about steve sitting around while his friends are saying steve “settled” and just laughing it off.

now steve is angry and confused, and billy won’t look at him no matter how many times he tries to get him to and he’s wracking his brain trying to figure out what on earth billy is talking about because why would billy think he thought that way?

billy tightens his grip on the box full of his things. “I hope your friends are happy.”

and that’s when it clicks. and it’s too late for steve to do anything because he’s frozen in place because the weight of the realization is almost too heavy to bear. so he just has to watch billy walk out his front door.

that night, steve doesn’t run to billy’s house begging for forgiveness. instead he runs to dustin’s and nancy’s and robin’s and whoever else he can vaguely remember saying anything at all negative about him dating billy. he rips each and everyone of them a new asshole and the whole time he’s feeling so fucking guilty because even if he never said what they said, he never disagreed, not out loud, not for billy to hear it.

so made a point, to go to everyone’s house and tell them they had to go talk to billy in person and tell them that they were wrong, that he is not only good enough, but he is *good* for steve. and they do, reluctantly, some of them steve had to drag there kicking and screaming. but they do. and once they all have done that. it’s steve’s turn to apologize.

he doesn’t do it standing at billy’s front door like everyone else had. he takes him to the quarry, somewhere private, somewhere that is theirs.

he sits there in the car and apologizes over and over again, and tells billy over and over again that he is so much more than good enough for him and he’s so sorry he never stuck up for him.

and if it weren’t for all the children banging down his door all day saying all the exact same things, maybe it would have been a little harder to accept, but Steve is sitting there begging him, clearly exhausted, clearly having not have slept since their fight, and god his big brown eyes just do something to him.

and they’re good. steve just had to remember to remind billy, every single day, just how good he is.

Request Guideline (2023 Edition)

if you haven’t read my last post (i’ll link it here if you want to read) i’ve decided to revamp my page a little. i’m getting back into writing so i thought i should make another request guideline that better aligns with me and what i want to write and who i want to write for. so enjoy ;)

please make requests here. if there’s any problem with the link let me know! (the link doesn’t work at the moment i’ll add it as soon as i get my laptop back — click the link in my bio or on my masterlist in the mean time :) )

Guidelines:

When requesting please give me the character/celebrity, the show or movie they are from, a description of what you want, whether it will be fluff, angst, smut etc and if you want to be tagged. 

i may not always do smut, especially if it’s not something i’m comfortable with. this is not always the case however but if it is then i’ll let u know if i cannot complete the request.

Please specify if you would like it to be a female, gender neutral or male reader. Just as i explained in my previous post i do not write malexmale smut as it is nothing something i have any experience with - sorry. I will do threesomes (or more) where at least one woman is present :) 

I wont write an imagine about a gay character being straight. 

I am willing to write imagines about darker topics. Such as depression, suicide, eating disorders, etc. I will not however write in detail about rape but i am okay with it being mentioned/ hinted.

My intention is not to glorify or romantise any of these thing, especially since some of them are things i have gone through myself. In the past i haven’t always been sensitive or appropriate with the way i’ve handled them and i’m incredibly sorry if i’ve ever offended anyone or triggered them - this was never my intention. I have taken down some of the work i no longer feel comfortable being public for this reason so please do let me know if something i write bothers you and i’ll take it down.

I also dont like writing imagines where the character/celebrity is a kidnapper or murderer sorry. I also wont do incest relationships.

I dont do ships. I do reader imagines or if youd like to add a name to your request then ill more than happily do it like that.

I will do imagines on plus sizes readers. I will do imagines for family imagines as well and platonic ones too - please assure this is clear within the request. 

When you request something dont expect it to be up straightaway but i will try my hardest to be as quick as possible. I know with my track record that’s not saying much but i really do intend to be better and i’ll try and be more transparent about where i’m at with requests.

In the future there may be some changes to this list based on what i am interested in at the current time. Also if a character you want to request for isnt on the list but the actor is feel free to ask if i’ll do it for that character :)

Your reply to my kandriel ask really had me lying here staring at the ceiling for a while. I thought the midnight rain line was mean and then you brought up Last Kiss in your tags - so so unnecessary absolutely took me out did not need that but also "And I'll keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are" Jean at 3am: Stop fucking calling me.

But also them taking care of his stuff so gently (not the literal safe) while Kevin thinks he didn't really mean anything AND HIM PARTLY MOVING BACK FOR HIS DAD. Neil's binder part 2 except it's like 6 books by the time he comes back and it turns out kevins kind of done the same thing for them

Anyway if you do decide to write this I will be reading it hands literally shaking in excitement but that's how I read all of your fics so whatever you write I shall be here

yes i keep thinking about an older wymack :') in the books i assume hes in his late forties and in this verse it would be ten or so years post canon so hed be nearing retirement age...... an actual old man...... i dont think hed necessarily need to have kevin around to look out for him, but i think kevin would want to be there anyway since hed be retiring himself 🤔 in the end they can say anything they want about it but its all an elaborate plot to look out for the other :)

in fact i even have this very clear scene in my head where andrew and neil visit wymacks apartment outside of holidays for the first time in years and wymacks like. "ten years and you've never paid me a single visit. kevin moves back in and here you are in my living room" or something of the sort..... JUST OLD MAN COMPLAINING REALLY..!!! but hes onto them. he thinks its definitely suspicious that andrew and neil showed up to pick kevin up from the airport even though no one had told them the time or place

and right of course its in a safe! neil i think never loses his protective edge for his trinkets and hed definitely keep that kind of important stuff locked up where he can protect it......... if andreils apartment got flooded or went up in flames then (after andrew) those would be the first things he reaches out for!!!!
