#and izuru is so bad with feelings that Chiaki doesn’t even know how he feels+

I love Kamukomanami but especially my very specific angst version of it where Chiaki misses Hajime with all her being and is struggling even being around Izuru because he’s not Hajime but used to be.
Izuru is in love with her but isn’t really Hajime so his perfect existence is suddenly not enough and he wants to change to be more like Hajime for her but he doesn’t know how anything than what he is and struggles with his humanity all because of a girl he doesn’t remember.
And Servant is in love with Izuru but can’t seem to get to his attention away from Chiaki and is so crazy jealous and bitter but also doesn’t want to hurt Chiaki because she’s the only person to ever try being his friend and she’s so hopeful how could he possibly hurt her

The Problem With This Plot
Tumblr media
I’m not even anti-Hinanami or whatever, I just want to write down how the writing of Danganronpa 3 made everything feel way less interesting.
So I don’t even hate how they write Hajime and Chiaki in Danganronpa 3 Despair Arc. I’m mostly just really indifferent to it, because there’s honestly not much of substance to even get mad about. But it is a really great example of Danganronpa 3′s overall laziness and actively undermining the themes that sit so well in the first two games.
Basically, the way it goes, and the way that Chiaki and Hajime meet in general, is Chiaki is too busy playing a game that she doesn’t watch where she’s walking and accidentally bumps into Hajime next to the giant fountain. And she would have just moved on without taking much notice, but then Hajime just so happens to recognise what game she’s playing, which makes her get super-invested and wanting to see him again so they can play it together next time.
Now I have nothing wrong with the idea of Hajime being a gamer. Sure, it’s not like the game says he is, but the game doesn’t say he isn’t, either. The problem is, honestly, all these series of coincidences (Chiaki bumping into Hajime, Hajime happening to recognise the game and having experience in playing it, it all happening in front of the Atmospheric Fountain) are just way too contrived to the point it simply feels like generic anime tropes. And that’s...not Hajime.
That’s specifically Makoto.
The whole thing about Makoto and his talent as ‘Super High-School Level Luck’ is it feels kind of like a metafiction joke about how anime protagonists just seem to end up in ridiculous situations from plain bad luck (because it makes for good and funny plots).
But the whole thing about Hajime is he is very intentionally different to Makoto.
He doesn’t suffer from crazy coincidences, because he doesn’t have insane luck. He doesn’t have a talent at all.
The theme of his character is that even by comparison to the plain Makoto, Hajime is a real ‘ordinary person’. His design is plainer. He’s a bit less patient with the over-the-top personalities around him. And he didn’t end up in a killing game because of bad luck - he literally put himself in there because of the circumstances that only happened to him because he was completely ordinary. (It’s kind of complicated.)
But basically what I’m trying to say is Hajime isn’t the kind of guy who’d suddenly have a cute girl at school bump into him and just happen to have an obscure hobby he shares.
I think Hajime’s ‘ordinariness’ is a real crucial part to both his character and the themes of Danganronpa (especially 0, 2 and 3). The idea that I got was that not only is Hajime ordinary, he’s also easily replaceable. Sure, he may have admired Hope’s Peak Academy enough to be chosen for the Kamukura Project, but the very reason he was a lab rat is because it wasn’t a big deal to Hope’s Peak if the experiments failed. They could just try again with another applicant. For every one Hajime, there was another 2,356 Reserve Course students harboring similar feelings and willing to do similar things for the sake of a better future.
At the end of Danganronpa 2, he doesn’t beat Junko as super-talented genius god Izuru Kamukura. He stops her as Hajime Hinata, a completely ordinary guy just like you or me who had decided to believe in himself nonetheless.
But by Danganronpa 3 doing this plotline, by making Hajime happen to bump into Chiaki, happen to recognise his game, happen to be good enough to be her gaming partner, it doesn’t just make Hajime lucky or secretly talented, it makes him special. Special enough to be acknowledged by an Ultimate, out of everyone else. Special enough to be seen with a face while the rest of the Reserve Course are featureless blue shadows.
Basically, I think it really undermines the strength of Hajime’s character.
And don’t get me wrong, I know why they did it. The logic seems pretty simple, actually. Chiaki is a character who’s going to die as the catalyst to plunge her classmates into despair. Why not also give her a personal connection to Hajime to not only add to the soap-opera ironic tragedy, but also making her death be a catalyst for Izuru Kamukura also deciding to give a shit, as well?
I do think they could have done it in a really interesting way if they had more time to flesh it out, maybe. Putting in more of a reason as to why Chiaki didn’t talk to the other Reserve Course students, giving more reasons for their relationship to be strained than just Hajime thinking he’s not good enough for her with zero evidence shown to us. Maybe making the other members of Class 77 still treat him like he’s not as important to twist the nail in a bit more.
But as-is, the outcome we got trod on a lot of subtlety present in the original games just for the sake of more clear ‘iconic’ moments. It’s not bad, it’s just...terribly disappointing.
Which is what I can say for most of Danganronpa 3 as a whole.

Imagine:
Hajime Hinata with a Yandere AI S/O who can control the killing game
Trigger warning: Yandere themes (reader/you), forced relationships, manipulation (mentally, emotionally, literally), pain. Probably OOC (sorry). ❗❕SPOILERS❗❕
Note: this was inspired by @daisyfics headcanons on a reader similar to Monika. Please go read them, they're very good! Also. . Idk about this one, I might rewrite it. I just felt inspired and went with it, but it's probably super ooc for hajime.
You were a rogue AI, originally made to help the remnants of despair. But in the end, you only cared about haijme. . Or izuru, but you probably preferred the former.
You took control over everything that happened in the machine, overpowering monokuma's own control. Instead of ending the killing game though, you allowed to continue.
Because, it helped get you what you wanted. And what you wanted was hajime's affection, and love, and devotion.
Hajime only saw you as another classmate at first, but he slowly began to develop a small crush on you. How couldn't he? You affected such a charming personality. He couldn't help but fall for you, especially when you showed him affection (which, originally, he was a bit uncomfortable with).
Day by day, you progressively got more clingy and even demanding of his time and attention. He'd shut you down when you'd get like this, trying to reason with you and attempting to calm you down when it was obvious you were getting jealous and even occasionally hostile; it was getting ridiculous now.
So, you'd take your anger out on the other students. You'd never harm haijme though, probably not anyway.
You began to tweak and twist the personalities and mental states of all the ultimates on the island, making them dislike, avoid, and even react aggressively towards him. He didn't know what was happening, why everyone suddenly hated him. Even chiaki and usami avoided him now, with pained and pitied looks on their faces.
And then, you'd swoop in, showering him with love and affection. You planted seeds in his mind, that he didn't need anyone else; all he needed was you. You two together could take on the entire world. Just the two of you.
And those seeds sprouted magnificently. Haijme had no one to turn to, no one that would listen except you, and your sweet comforting words brought him so much love.
The only time people would listen was during trials, which had progressively became more frequent and violent. He hadn't noticed how bad everyone had gotten, since you kept him on a tight leash.
And even during those trials, people would state their distaste towards them. He even asked why everyone hated him, and all they could reply with collectively was "I dunno, I just do".
The one who seemed to not have any dislike towards him was chiaki, who--while not being able to speak or even interact with him directly--could tell him through letters. She warned him about you, telling him in a note that you were the reason why everyone was acting strange. Why she couldn't talk to him. Why all the students suddenly couldn't stand him.
At first, he didn't believe it. But the more he thought about it, the more he began to get suspicious. You were so clingy, so suffocating even. And soon, he began to believe chiaki. Were you spreading rumours about him?? So you could isolate him? So you could have him only for yourself??
When he confronts you, asking if you were the one who made everyone dislike him, you're puzzled. How did he know?
You tell him no, that you'd never do such a thing, which he doesn't truly believe. Before he can refute, you ask him why he asked, and he replied dumbly by saying it was chiaki who told him.
And this would lead to an argument. You asking why he was with chiaki, him asking why you want to know and why she couldn't talk to him because of you.
He eventually stormed off, frustrated and angry at you. And you were left feeling the same, but now with a deadly thirst for digital blood.
Chiaki was found dead the next day, her body crushed under the weight of broken debris. Several monomi bots were alongside her, flatten into pancakes.
Hajime looked so confused, and disturbed, and distraught at the sight. And here you happened to be, trying to make him feel better. Trying to comfort him in his frozen state, likely running your hands down his arms or patting his shoulder saying 'it was bound to happen' in a neutral or possibly even jovial tone.
But hajime isn't comforted. He's actually scared now, because he thinks you did it. A deeper part of him knows you did it. And he accuses you of it, which. . While yes you did, doesn't make his tone any less hurtful.
So, you tell him the truth about it. How you only did it because she was getting in the way of something she couldn't understand! She was a threat, and had to be taken care of. You described everything, and it only made him feel sick and revolted at you.
He tells you you're a monster, a murderer, and that he's gonna tell everyone what you did. And those words sting, and they make you angry.
So you threatened him, telling him you'll get rid of everyone if he doesn't act like you wanted him too. He challenges this remark, and so you fight back.
You show him exactly what you mean by reanimating chiaki's broken corpse, moving it and speaking through it like a puppet. He's stunned at first, before he freaks out and flinches away when you move it closer to him.
You bring him to where everyone else is, and display just how much power you have over this world. You begin to bring everyone who died back, this time really alive and working. Everyone's shocked, some are even happy. But that happiness is short-lived when you give in to the power.
You started to twist the world around you, and began to corrupt and brutally change everyone. You had them killed, brought back; executed, brought back, and so on. And hajime has to watch them killed in front of his eyes again, and again, and again.
You even punish him too by forcing him to remember who he really was, overloading his senses, and then going even further by killing and executing him as well.
He's breaking down faster then you thought, begging you to stop. He's crying, and in so much pain, but you just keep it going until you think he's had enough. And that isn't until hours in. Or at least what he thinks is hours.
When you're done, everything's gone black. Everyone's gone. There's only hajime in the fetal position, eyes stained with tears and exhaustion. He's shivering, and even the faintest touch would induce pain to him in this moment.
And then you swoop in, gently caressing his skin. Even if his body appeared fine, the pain and cuts and bruises still felt like they were there. So when your touch only caused him to feel soothed and calm, he was confused. . And instinctively his body wriggled closer to you. Weakly
You whispered into his ear, shushing his silent sobs and flinching. You told him it was all ok, it was all alright. You were here, and that's all he needed.
After that, hajime was careful.
You 'reset' the program, bringing everybody and everything back to their original slates. Except for hajime. He's forced to remember what you did to him. You make sure he remembers so he won't step out of line.
Chiaki and monomi are gone. They were no longer needed. And knowing you erased them completely just adds another layer of despair and depression for him.
He hates you. He fears you, but what can he do? You have him and everyone else in your control.
Don't bother thinking the future foundation will help either. Your control is so extreme, you're able to work the machines now. And besides
Their bodies are long dead anyway.
They'll never leave you. . He'll never leave you.
If hajime tries to fight against your grip well. . You may just have to punish him again. And if that still doesn't fix him, then. .
Maybe you'll have to be much more direct with the problem, by picking apart and swapping around his code. After all, everything's just 1s and 0s now.
He may come a little different, but he's still your hajime. He's just. . The version you want him to be.
And if that is the route you choose, then he'll love you unconditionally.
And really, that's all you want.

hajime headcanons
i wrote these out for a cc anon but i wanna post em all in one place here
he has freckles and tans easy
i like trans ftm hajime . though i flip flop between cis hajime and trans hajime in my works haha. i rlly love him as trans tho.
he knows how to skateboard HAHA its one of the hobbies he still participates in at times. you would never guess by looking at him, though.
if he didn't get into hopes peak i swear on my life this dude wouldve been the business major in college who just picked that because he doesn't know what to do with his life & its the Default major for mfs who have no goals
he probably has lots of random knowledge about various hobbies and skills because he's tried to do so many and find his "talent", like knowing one or two songs on several instruments, knowing how to repair various utilities. he probably jumped through electives and clubs in middle school & high school. so i think hajime on his own would be a slight jack of all trades, master of none. But then he gets izuru'd and he really is a master of all trades.
as is canon he's one of those kids that fades into the background, so i bet he didn't have much of a social life. he seems like an overachiever kid, too, so he probably spent more time working and trying to find his talent than he did socializing. he probably only had unmemorable friends throughout school that didn't stick. though he does attract the attention of the sdr2 kids pretty hard, he probably had a LOT of friends. just people who came to him for help on studying, projects, etc, whatever. gets invited to some parties just because everyone kinda knows him, vaguely, and probably owes him for some help. but no close friends, no girlfriend or boyfriend. he'd be really inexperienced with close relationships by the time he meets the other sdr2 kids.
i actually like the idea that he hung out with sato & natsumi, you know, before all of that went under. i think in a non-despair au they could've been a good friend group.
really cookie cutter family. both parents working office jobs. he's emotionally detached from his family. loves them, but, there just never was the time or that big of an effort made on anyone's part to become really tight knit. he still has fond memories of his childhood, though.
kusamochi is his favorite food because it's traditionally eaten on new years. it's also one of the first foods he ever learned how to cook, with his extended family on new years. when he was younger, they would have gatherings with all extended family every new years, especially because it was hajime's birthday. but as he got older those happened less and less, and now, after everything, he still makes himself kusamochi every new years.
chiaki was his first real crush, but it was unrequited. since she was also kinda his first real friend, it was hard to differentiate between friend love and genuine crush. he knows now after everything it was probably the former, but he still loved her immensely, most than most things. even when she wasn't the best, or couldn't help him like he needed.
i think if he had a pet he would have a cat. a childhood cat he grew up with and passed away when he was in his teens, hasn't gotten a new one since because he's too focused on school & with his hopes peak workload, and his busy parents, there just wouldn't be time for caring for a pet. and i bet he would've named his cat mochi when he was little, because he liked kusamochi so much <33 sobs
post-dr3 hajime doesn't completely effortlessly use his talents, and with a lot of them, he needs to concentrate and think hard to focus and apply them. some things are reflexive, but others are more dormant. because of this, he can still get distracted and screw things up. when he does start using his talents, though, he goes more on the "izuru" side of his personality, very intense, a little scary from an outside perspective, and more cold and calculating.
he has days that are more izuru than others, since they're both him now, in essence. and because that's just, irreparable damage done onto your brain, he can have mood swings, bad days, even weeks, where he's much more cold and unfeeling. in these states, though, he tends to just work himself into a hole because it's all he can do, since that sense of "boredom" comes back on days like these. (like anhedonia, in depression. there's just some days like that, you know?) and the only one capable of helping him through these states is komaeda. (sorry, im slipping in my komahina agenda)
i kinda have a guilty pleasure for the headcanon that he grew taller from all the drugs and surgery they put him on during the project, especially because he was 18? so he still had room to grow taller. he's 5'10 in the nwp so i think 6'0 izuru/post-game hajime is, kinda hot. Though if you go by his localization height (5'8) then just put him right back up to 5'10 LOL
for the trans agenda, the reason he dislikes sakuramochi so much is because it's a treat typically eaten on "girls' day" in japan, and he always hated that day.
this isn't a headcanon. more of an observation, really. but i really dont like calling hajime "tsundere" because he doesn't fit that mold at all. he's dense & just comes off as blunt and rude, plus he's easily irritable. this isn't a tsundere trait, he isn't purposefully mean to hide his feelings for someone. he's just confused and doesn't even understand his own feelings most of the time, especially when it's a complex relationship like with nagito.   if anything, hopes peak or ch4 nagito is more of a tsundere haha cuz he purposely is mean to hajime & talks down to him to hide his own feelings that is already aware of, because he's trying to force himself to stop caring after learning hes a talentless nobody & fell to despair.

IIRC You mentioned something about Chiaki with her eight partners. I'm curious to know who you ship her with, and how their relationships would work.
Hi there! I did say that somewhere, didn’t I? And by that, I just mean that I really like to ship Chiaki with lots of different people. XD Too many to be honest. So let’s get into them.
With Hajime Hinata and Nagito Komaeda - Honesty this is what my entire blog is based around. And you know it well. KomaHinaNami. I adore them. The Trial Point Getters. They have such chemistry with each other. Not just Hajime and Chiaki or Nagito and Hajime, but Nagito and Chiaki have a way around each other as well, with a mutual love and respect. I think there is a lot of requited and unrequited feelings on all the sides of this ship and I really adore making different AUs for these three and putting them in different situations and worlds just to see what new lines of romance I can give them. I should probably say that I really don’t like pitting Nagito and Chiaki against each other for Hajime… it just doesn’t feel right to me since Nagito and Chiaki never really show any hostility towards one another. So that kind of conflict of fighting over Hajime just doesn’t interest me.
Now people will point out that canon has left Chiaki dead, but honestly I feel things are up to interpretation at this point. Hajime has combined with Izuru and can probably restore Chiaki, Kazuichi can build her a body, etc. And if not, there’s a lot of romance in the idea that the anime left us with Chiaki saying goodbye to Hajime and encouraging him to look into the future of being with Nagito. And all of that is just like… the height of romance and love between the three for me. It’s so so so good.
With Izuru Kamukura - Well, as you guys could tell from my Remnant Chiaki comics, I have a big fondness for this ship. Like KomaHinaNami, I love this on the level of KamuKoma and KamuKomaNami as well. I really like to write dark erotic horror based stuff around these two. The dread of Hajime being erased and Chiaki having to deal with that while cutting through to Izuru simply because he’s intrigued by her Hope and defiance. It’s just *chef’s kiss*. Not to mention, it is canonly implied that Chiaki is the only one Izuru truly cared for, even seemingly leaving him to despise Junko for killing her (and tricking him???). That being said, I adore KamuKoma on the same end. That indifference and obsession… hottttt. I want both. As usual!
With Junko - Okay, who’s ready to kill me? I know it’s bad and toxic and wrong, but I like to indulge the darker side of things. I mean, we already know that if Junko likes or care for you in some way, she kills you herself. And she built a whole labrynth for Chiaki! It’s the ship I go to in order to indulge dark ideas like “What if Chiaki gave up on Hope? What if she was forced to assist Junko?” That and don’t we all believe in the inherent eroticism of smearing your own blood across someone’s image on a tv screen in defiance? The juxtaposition of the Despair in a class full of Hope vs the Hope on a class full of Despair?!
With Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu - This is a recent new favorite of mine, but oh my God, I never how Fuyuhiko kinda has a school boy crush on Chiaki. With her human side, he works hard to fix up the party for Chisa when he sees her working so hard and blushes when Kazuichi points it out. And in the UTDP, he demands for Hajime to invite Chiaki to the party after she constantly invites him to things. He just… clearly treasures Chiaki. Not to mention the way he immediately softens in the second game when Chiaki tells him she is guarding the party from Monokuma instead of joining in!!! Like… he legit smiles and says “Heh… wow thats very diligent of you…” all shyly. It’s so so so cute. I would like to draw them soon…
With Sonia Nevermind - Did you guys even see the way Sonia just befriends and loves on Chiaki? How she tries to defend her and tear at Hajime for daring to point out that Chiaki is the traitor in Chapter Five of the game? Sonia was not ready to let her go. They’re so cute. Just imagine them talking about games and Sonia eagerly pulling Chiaki along, getting her to join an occult club… beautiful.
With Mikan - Okay it’s more of a brotp, but isn’t is the cutest how Chiaki sort of connected to Mikan by teaching her how to play games?! Just awww. The art of the two is always so darn pretty too. 🥰
With Kazuichi - Again, more of a brotp. I like it when Chiaki busts his balls in the game because I’m a Souda fan and it amuses me when he gets bullied. Besides Kazuichi canonly does find her attractive. I just think these two should go on silly adventures with one another. <3 That’s all. Also they’re really hot together aesthetically.

1 Thing I Love & 1 Thing I Hate About EVERY Danganronpa Character Part 1
Part 2
SPOILERS FOR ALL THREE MAIN GAMES
I’d love to hear our opinions as well in the comments or my inbox or DM’s! If you try this trend with DR characters, tag me!
Tumblr media
Sayaka Maizono
♡ Her passion for her career and friends.
✘ The way she tries to screw over Makoto when the game had just begun. Like wait and see what happens before screwing over such a great guy? Leon didn’t deserve it either.
Leon Kuwata
♡ His voice actor (English), and how real and human his execution was in that we all would be so scared and irrational. It was just so iconic and sad as it’s our first introduction to the death in this series and we all think: “shit, this is real... they are really killing these kids.” I didn’t think it would be that brutal, just seeing his body limp at the end with the haunting music.
✘ His design is disgusting. I hate how he looks.
Chihiro Fujisaki
♡ So innocent, so kind, so intelligent
✘ Shouldn’t have been killed for such a stupid reason, also they did Mondo dirty with that motive for killing as well. Just a mess. As for the actual character, Chihiro cries right off the bat when you do your introductions and that was kind of annoying to me personally.
Mondo Oowada
♡ He has a lot of respect, understanding and emotions for someone I thought would be a hard-ass douche biker.
✘ The worst motive to kill ever in a game where you know you’re getting executed if you’re found out. Like you’d be extra careful and that’s his reason to kill? Lazy writing.
Celestia Ludenberg
♡ Bad bitch energy and her goth lolita design.
✘ Manipulation and double murder. Bad bitch energy only goes so far. Confidence is different then selfishness. Also, of all the chapter 3 triple murders... the worst motive to kill.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru
♡ Emotions: secure in his masculinity, able to cry, show emotions, and apologize when he’s wrong. He’s funny and likable.
✘ The Ishimondo white hair thing was stupid. Taka was fine on his own.
Hifumi Yamada
♡ Writing takes talent, fan fiction as much as any other style or genre. Also the talent of his voice actor (who also voices Kiibo/K1-B0).
✘ Literally everything else about him.
Sakura Oogami
♡ I love everything about her. I love her wisdom, loyalty, design, voice etc. Just step on me, mother.
✘ Why the hell would she ever agree to be a spy even if it meant the end of her dojo? I just don’t think she would do that rationally because she isn’t selfish. The others would suffer for her spying. She remedies this with redemption in her letter in chapter 4 but still she should’ve said no off the bat. Everyone had something to lose. The dojo wasn’t worth spying for monokuma. Also I just don’t think she would commit suicide. She can’t help the remaining students survive and redeem herself truly if she’s dead.
Kyoko Kirigiri
♡ Bad bitch energy, calm and collected when I could never be.
✘ Especially in future arc of the anime, damn can you show some emotion please? Through your words and expressions not just your actions. Sure she was willing to “die” for Makoto but like I just want more emotion from her sometimes, even in THH.
Makoto Naegi
♡ So pure. I Love Bryce Papenbrook. Makoto reminds me of Sora and I love his design.
✘ In THH I didn’t mind his innocence but in the Danganronpa 3 future arc anime, when people started straight up abusing him and accusing him, he needed to grow a little backbone.
Byakuya Togami
♡ Love my dad, king shit, also love how over the progression of the games and animes he becomes a little more kind to his friends.
✘ Why the fuck did he mess with Chihiro’s body? Just so cruel and disrespectful.
Yasuhiro Hagakure
♡ Funny magic man. Sexy voice.
✘ Please. Please Hiro use your brain just once. Why do we have to prove Kyoko isn’t a ghost?!
Toko Fukawa
♡ Character development in UDG and I love Genocider.
✘ Putting down herself and others constantly gets old in THH.
Aoi Asahina
♡ Love her voice actress and her personality
✘ We really just gonna get everyone killed in chapter 4 huh? Surely you know they don’t all deserve that.
Junko Enoshima
♡ A very memorable villain with great hair and design.
✘ I just can’t stand her. I hate her so much.
Mukuro Ikusaba
♡ Her mercenary background is super cool as a concept.
✘ Too bad it wasn’t explored nearly enough.
Hajime Hinata
♡ Seeing the protagonist be a little less naive, innocent and positive than Makoto was a refreshing change, although I loved Makoto. I liked Hajime’s cynicism and expressions that sometimes just screamed “this shit again, huh?”
✘ I enjoy the way Izuru looks but I hate him as a character. He is sexy to look at but Hajime is just a better character overall
Teruteru Hanamura
♡ His love for his family and mother especially is so cute and heart breaking if you know the full story.
✘ He needs to know when to dial it back and quit with the perversions. And no it’s not just how he looks, Miu needs to chill at times, too.
Twogami
♡ I feel like he genuinely cares about his friends, just hides it well
✘ His death felt like a cop out and poorly written. It just didn’t sit right with me. Also his design is disgusting to me, his outfit and such.
Mahiru Koizumi
♡ Loyal to her close friends.
✘ I just have no interest in her as a character and I find her boring.
Peko Pekoyama
♡ Loyalty. Loyalty is something I value very highly in every form of relationship. Peko is also very hot.
✘ Come on girl... I know how you were raised but you should’ve known Fuyuhiko didn’t think of you as just a tool and you two should’ve expressed your true feelings long ago. Like even in secret. How do you live like this? Also I feel like killing Mahiru could’ve been avoided with a calm talk.
Ibuki Mioda
♡ Cute design, positive vibes.
✘ Cringe sometimes in the way she talks.
Hiyoko Saionji
♡ Beautiful character design and some very good insults and snarky remarks at times.
✘ Just irredeemably mean and annoying. Even when you do her free time events she is just so annoying.
Mikan Tsumiki
♡ I like her design as well as her hair, expressions, sprites and clothing.
✘ I hate her. I just hate her whether she’s in her true psycho form or timid stuttering form. She’s just annoying in my opinion.
Nekomaru Nidai
♡ So supportive, can hold my drink at a party. Respects everyone and wants the best for them.
✘ Bro Mechamaru was a stupid plot point. I just couldn’t stand looking at him and couldn’t take it seriously. Still sad when he died though.
Chiaki Nanami
♡ From chapter 5 of sdr2 on she is impossible not to love if you didn’t already. Just the selflessness, the sadness of the reveal and execution, how she returns to help Hajime at the end???? I love her. I love her hair design, color palette, her personality, everything.
✘ I’m bitter and miserable about her being the only class member to actually die (the despair arc anime) also her falling asleep at random times is kind of odd and she doesn’t seem to be like that later on in the game??? Like it seemed like a cheap joke but not actually who she is? Hard for me to explain.
Gundham Tanaka
♡ King shit, couldn’t praise him enough. He’s sexy, loves animals, and is funny as hell sometimes. His voice actor is a saint and a cool dude and I named my guinea pigs after the Dark Devas (yes I know they are hamsters in the games.)
✘ Come on dude. I get that being from Hell and magic and having evil powers is your shtick, but we all know that you and Nekomaru sacrificed yourselves so the others wouldn’t starve. We know you care about your classmates. There comes a time when it’s time to let personas and facades fade and be true to your heart. I just feel like him denying he cared at the end hurt. We all know he cared. I didn’t like how he was haughty until the end. He deserved better. I love him.
Nagito Komaeda
♡ I love him so much. So cunning and intelligent, always a step ahead. And he’s big sexy.
✘ Him killing himself in chapter 5 hurt me so bad I was like in denial for days. Also hate how Bryce Papenbrook gives him a raspy stoner psycho voice in the game then a light airy higher-pitched voice in the despair arc anime. It just bothers me. I love his voice still but the inconsistency just hurts my OCD
Sonia Nevermind
♡ I love that she’s so interested in her passions and love her feelings for Gundham
✘ Her outfit and bow are atrocious. Also why didn’t she start liking and talking to Gundham sooner on? Their romance bloomed late and it would’ve made for a better chapter 4 ending if they were a bit closer.
Kazuichi Souda
♡ Cool design and outfit, love his voice (also voices Kaito in V3) and his backstory is relatable at times. He’s also very human in that he’s scared a lot of the time or insecure or blames others in panicked situations. It’s not always a good thing but it’s human and realistic.
✘ Gosh he can be so annoying. Sometimes flirting or whining too much is well... too much.
Akane Owari
♡ Strong-willed and definitely someone I would be friends with
✘ What the hell is her outfit? Gymnasts and athletes don’t wear that shit. Stop objectifying her when it doesn’t even make the product or plot better. Like there’s absolutely no point to making her dress that way. I was a gymnast for 15 years. Even those who do parkour (which Akane seems to do more often than actual gymnastics in the anime and game) don’t wear what she wears. Also she’s underrated.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu
♡ I love him. He’s the DR character I’m most like out of all the games and anime. Tenko is a close second. I think he’s adorable, love his character arc, development, redemption, and love his voice.
✘ In the anime/despair arc, Fuyuhiko is not done justice. He doesn’t get enough lines, has a different voice actor, just doesn’t give off the same vibes.
Izuru Kamakura
♡ Sexy man long hair good.
✘ Boring character. I wish he were just Hajime.
Kaede Akamatsu
♡ Loyalty and leadership are such attractive qualities in her. Also she faced her death with such class and dignity and I respect her because I could never.
✘ Some of the voice lines Erika does for her are just weird and cringe. Just random moans or grunts... I don’t know it’s like when Ann Takamaki from Persona 5 (also voiced by Erika) makes suggestive noises as well. Just grinds my gears. Also hate her outfit down to the hair pins.
Shuichi Saihara
♡ I love his nasally voice. I love his design and he’s so adorable. I love how emotional and compassionate he can be. He ties with Makoto for favorite protag of mine.
✘ That sprite where he sniffs his hand. And his ugly ass hat.
Rantarou Amami
♡ Sexy man, sexy voice, sexy piercings
✘ Ugly outfit, and wasted potential
Ryoma Hoshi
♡ I respect him and feel bad for his outlook on life and for how poorly he views himself. I love his little hat as well and he’s the first “different styled” character (Hifumi, Bandai, Teruteru) that I liked the design of.
✘ I hate when he says “got a long ways to go,” it’s overused and annoying, and wish he gave himself more credit. Also hate that when you first meet him he warns you that he’s killed people and is dangerous to be around. Come on buddy, you know you wouldn’t hurt your friends. Stop pushing them away.
Kirumi Tojo
♡ Competence, well rounded, skillful
✘ Boring as hell. I wouldn’t waste one free time event on her.
Angie Yonaga
♡ Dark skin, super cute, love her talent as an artist myself.
✘ Gives religious people a bad name and is super manipulative which I hate.
Tenko Chabashira
♡ I relate to her and feel bad when she’s misunderstood. She’s a good person deep down. Also love her sprites.
✘ There’s more cunning, funny and clever ways to write her digs at men.
Korekiyo Shunguuji
♡ I’m in love with this man. Long hair, voice, mystery, mask, intelligence, passion, talent.
✘ He definitely was a victim of abuse and a lot of people refuse to see that and just hate him. Team Danganronpa should’ve given him a redemption arc where he realized his sister abused him and changed.
Gonta Gokuhara
♡ I love his design except for his suit. Also he’s so cute and naive. I cried for his trail.
✘ No need talk like caveman. Better way to do this.
Kokichi Ouma
♡ Like Nagito, I value his intelligence and crazy cunning.
✘ Shouldn't have died. Also shouldn’t have manipulated Gonta. That was just cruel.
Miu Iruma
♡ She has her hilarious moments and her death surprised me and was sad.
✘ Sometimes she lacks basic empathy, i.e. calling Tenko “Tencrotch” when she just fucking died.
Maki Harukawa
♡ Amazing character development. Didn’t see her surviving until the end at the start. Also her love and passion for Kaito.
✘ “Do you wanna die?” gets old.
Kaito Momota
♡ Just the overall best bro you could ever have.
✘ Has some toxic masculinity issues and anger issues.
K1-B0
♡ Pretty much everything about him. His design, his attitude and personality, especially how amazing and cool he is chapter 5 onward, his execution made me so sad. He’s so innocent and funny without trying.
✘ When you do his free time events he’s very arrogant and just talks about himself a lot... it seems odd and not similar to the Kiibo we see throughout the game.
Himiko Yumeno
♡ Super cute design, love her voice and “Nyeh...” and her sprites. Her character development is great as well.
✘ Why did they take so long to make her important and likable?
Tsumugi Shirogane
♡ An excellent and well hidden reveal
✘ I hate her. So annoying, from the voice to the references and her personality.

A few notes before I start: Sorry about the white backgrounds, that’s how they showed up and I didn’t know how to fix them. Also, these summaries are going to be a lot shorter than they have in my last few posts just since there are so many characters. Anyway, let’s begin.
Literally godly, this should be your regular outfit -
Rantaro Amami - I shouldn’t have to be the first person to point out to you that he’s hot. Not to mention that the pink bottoms work wonders with his hair.
Nagito Komaeda - Hhhhhhhh
Byakuya Togami - I will admit, I’m basing this position more off of his appearance in the promo art. I don’t know how much I like this look on his regular sprite, but he’s so hot in that promo art, you don’t even know.
Show me who picked this out for you so I can thank them -
Sayaka Maizono - SHE LOOKS SO CUTE OML. I’d go through each detail, but in short: everything.
Gundham Tanaka - Shirtless Gundham, what more can I say?
Ibuki Mioda - I absolutely adore how her swimsuit doesn’t just go with her hair, but matches it. Perfection.
Korekiyo Shinguji - When the trailer first dropped and I saw the screen with all of the released swimsuits, I immediately started scanning to see if they put Korekiyo in a wetsuit and by God, they did.
Shuichi Saihara - He looks more tired than usual, but I just have a gut feeling his other sprites will look better.
Mondo Owada - I probably should’ve put him in standard, but he looks so good without a shirt on, I couldn’t possibly.
Kaito Momota - Space shorts.
Sakura Ogami - She was actually going to be somewhere in the first tier originally, but I just can’t put her there because of the color. I probably should’ve put her down with the other people with this problem (Uhhh... okay... I guess) but I couldn’t bear to.
Cute!/Cool! -
Chihiro Fujisaki - a;lskdfh;adskfijshdkjc He’s so cute, someone help. I’m drowning in cute. He looks so excited to be wearing it, too. I think this was the best choice they could’ve gone with to not give him something too masculine or feminine, fantastic choice.
Leon Kuwata - This category was originally just going to be “Cute!” but his bottoms looked so cool, I had to put him up here.
Toko Fukawa - Not only does her swimsuit look good on her, but I love the way that they designed her and Genocide Jack to be wearing the same swimsuit in different styles. Super cool.
Tenko Chabashira - I think this was one of the only palette swaps that I actually liked. There are probably a few other swaps that I didn’t even notice, but I like this one specifically because of the color swap. She looks great in pink.
Kyoko Kirigiri - I think I would’ve normally put her in standard, but her gloves are just too cool.
Mukuro Ikusaba - Love the colors and love the pattern. Simple, yet great.
Mahiru Koizumi - Mahiru, your camera. You can’t take that in the water. Mahiru- MAHIRU
Akane Owari - This is actually the swimsuit she wore during chapter 2 in the original game and I thought she looked great both times.
Chiaki Nanami - Same as Akane, so there’s not really any reason for either one to be higher or lower than the other. Peko would be up here too, but it’s really basic.
Gonta Gokuhara - I just really like the pattern and also that he’s still carrying the thing over his shoulder. It’s really weird who got to keep accessories and who didn’t, but we’ll get there.
Masaru Daimon - He just looks so cool in his shorts, I’m sure he’s excited to have them.
Shirokuma - Despite how I may feel about Shirokuma, this is a very cute outfit for them.
Standard -
Kaede Akamatsu - Definitely the best-looking of the protagonists, even if Shuichi’s higher. He’s only higher because I have faith that his faults are because of the sprite choice. If I’m wrong, sue me.
Kirumi Tojo - This is another instance of getting to keep the accessories. She still has her headband on. Why?? It wasn’t crucial to her character or anything. I get that Kyoko has backstory reasons and Gonta and Mahiru’s personalities revolve around their items, but why Kirumi? She had other things that defined her better.
Peko Pekoyama - Like I said before, basic and kinda bland. She still looks good, though.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu - He actually gained an accessory. Why does he have a necklace now? His shorts are nice, though.
Hajime Hinata - O r a n g. Or maybe red.
Maki Harukawa - Basic swimsuit, no color change whatsoever. A nice swimsuit, but nothing special.
Genocide Jack - Everything I said before about Toko’s swimsuit still applies, Genocide Jack’s is just way more boring.
Aoi Asahina - A good color swap, but not good enough to make up for her basic swimsuit.
Monomi - I like that they put her in a one-piece. Very cute. Wish they would do that all the time...
Monaca Towa - I just noticed that she is the only character other than Monomi to wear a one-piece. Why??
Makoto Naegi - The most basic swimsuit imaginable combined with his regular color scheme and pattern.
Hiroko Hagakure - I think I like that she kept her jacket? Maybe? It’s a different jacket, but it still counts.
Nagisa Shingetsu - Black and white bottoms. Okay. You do you, buddy.
Imposter - It’s fine. It’s just fine.
Izuru - I like that they gave him a separate swimsuit from Hajime, but why is it so bland and boring?
I love you, so I’ll forgive it -
Sonia Nevermind - She actually looks great and is so cute. So cute that she’d be in the top tier if not for one crucial fact. If you’ll notice, I mentioned earlier that Peko, Chiaki, and Akane are all wearing the same swimsuit here that they had worn in the original second game. However, there’s another character that appears in the scene I’m talking about that is wearing a different outfit than they are here. That charcter is Sonia, who was seen in a wetsuit in the original game. It was thrown off as a joke, but I still can’t stop thinking about how pretty she looked in that wetsuit. It’s literally my profile picture for my main blog, that’s how pretty she is wearing it. I’m mad because they’re basically agreeing that she didn’t look pretty/sexy in the wetsuit when that couldn’t be more wrong.
Celestia Ludenberg - I literally just wish she was wearing a one-piece, it can be the same style and everything. Honestly a missed opportunity.
Kotoko Utsugi - It’s just a weird pattern. Love the colors, though.
K1-B0 - I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love the floaty, but he still deserves more respect.
Miu Iruma - The pattern is... fitting... but still bad.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru - Taka... sweetie... why...?
Uhhh... okay... I guess -
Angie Yonaga - I like the look, but it’s exactly what she usually wears just without the jacket. Does that mean that she’s always wearing a swimsuit? Why? Even Asahina didn’t wear a swimsuit as her regular outfit.
Kazuichi Soda - I definitely like this color better than the piss yellow he used to have, but it’s still not great. I like that he got to keep his little logo thing, but I’m confused as to why he gets to keep his hat. It’s just like Kirumi keeping her headpiece. I’m fine with it in this case, but why him and not...? Well, we’ll get there.
Komaru Naegi - A lot of the outfits in this tier are just because I like the look and not the color scheme, including Komaru. Yellow’s just an odd fit for the shade of green that her hair is.
Tsumugi Shirogane - The same as Komaru. Nice style, but the yellow and blue clash for me.
Hiyoko Saionji - Surprise surprise, it’s the same thing. I think the style really fits her, but I hate the yellow and green. Not into it.
Junko Enoshima - Ok, we’re out of the color scheme repetition. I don’t know why she’s wearing a tanktop. It just looks a little off, but I can’t place why. I don’t know why she isn’t just wearing the regular swimsuit like she was in the promo art. If she was, I’d probably put her in Standard.
Yasuhiro Hagakure - I’ll be honest, I didn’t notice the alien pattern on his shorts until after I had already downloaded the picture and closed out of the tier list tab. If I had noticed before, I’d probably put him in Cute!/Cool! but I still don’t really like the color scheme. Fitting, but not pleasing.
Kurokuma - The only reason he’s above Kokichi is because he has a water gun and I think that’s cute.
Kokichi Oma - Literally just gut instinct. I like that he kept his checkered pattern and purple color scheme. Something just told me he should be down here.
Monokuma - It just feels wrong, but I can’t place why, same as Kokichi.
Teruteru Hanamura - I probably would’ve liked his outfit better if his shirt was buttoned up at least a little bit. Now that I think about it, Mondo should’ve had one of these, too.
Who signed off on this? -
Usami - WHY IS SHE IN A BIKINI??? SHE’S A STUFFED RABBIT.
Nekomaru Nidai - I can absolutely see him picking this swimsuit to wear, but that doesn’t mean I like it.
Mikan Tsumiki - You know why she’s here.
God no. I hate it -
Ryoma Hoshi - So Mahiru gets to keep her camera, Kirumi gets to keep her headpiece, and Kazuichi gets to keep his hat.. but Ryoma doesn’t get anything? I genuinely had to take a second to figure out who this was the first time I saw him. He can’t even have a sunhat or anything? That would’ve been cute.
Himiko Yumeno - I can’t imagine a world in which she would choose this swimsuit for herself. The color is off, the style is off, I could much more easily see her wearing something similar to Monaca’s swimsuit. Basically, just let some of the girls wear one-pieces. They don’t all have to be in bikinis.
Jataro Kemuri - The pattern. I can’t even stand to look at it long enough to figure out what it is.
Hifumi Yamada - It did take me a second to figure out what his swimsuit was, but as soon as I did, he hit the bottom of the list. Again, it’s definitely fitting, but I still hate it.

Holding hands with the SDR2 guys
Hajime Hinata :
♡ You want to hold hands with him?
♡ Why??
♡ He's curious about why you want to hold hands with him, as he isn't really anything special in his opinion
♡ But will let you after even a slight complaint from you
♡ "Okay, okay. Let's hold hands," he reached for your hand, a small smile on his face.
♡ Quite likes holding hands with you
♡ And if you are the one going for his hand first all the time then he just might combust on his place
♡ He seems so cool and serious, but he's really just shy
♡ Will blush when holding hands with you in public and will stutter a bit if you mention it
♡ He loves it ♡
Nagito Komaeda :
♡ He ain't the best to do hand holding with
♡ Lot of times because he will refuse to on every occasion
♡ "But please, only once! Nagito," you followed after him, giving him the best of your puppy dog eyes.
♡ "Who would want to hold hands with such a disgrace like me?"
♡ "Me, of course!" You will give him a heart attack one day with your love and affection.
♡ For some reason I think he'll have cold hands so it'll be really cold at first for you, please, bear with it for this poor soul
♡ As much as he refused in the beginning, he will like holding hands with you
♡ He will ask you when he wants to hold your hand with a small blush coating his pale cheeks
♡ Yes, he is weak for you ♡
Byakuya Twogami :
♡ He won't mind holding your hand at all!
♡ He's very caring when he likes to be
♡ However, when it comes to his talent he has to be a bit careful about holding hands with you, especially in public
♡ And as Byakuya he would hold hands with you only if you begged quite a bit
♡ "Please, please, hold hands with me! "
♡ "Very well, but only so you'll be quiet," he'll smirk a bit, not so much for it to be noticable.
♡ Don't let that let you down though
♡ He adores you and if he could he would hold hands with you all the time ♡
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu :
♡ He is by all means out here to look tough and strong, no touching, no love
♡ He will shoo you away in his own way from the idea of holding hands with him
♡ He will do it quite roughly, but don't let it scare you!
♡ He isn't doing it to be mean or because he doesn't want to hold hands with you!
♡ He cares for you and he doesn't want any potential danger to come to you
♡ So he won't hold hands with you in public
♡ But in private, he will hold hands with you whenever you want
♡ He will turn to a mush, blushing
♡ "Don't tell anyone about this, okay?" He looked at you warily, a blush coating his cheeks. His hand was holding your hand tightly in his, as if to show you his support and love.
♡ Yes, he is a tsundere about it
♡ But he loves holding hands with you ♡
Gundham Tanaka :
♡ You want to hold hands? Interesting!
♡ No seriously, he doesn't know about it and he's pretty reluctant about any form skinship
♡ He might not understand it at first...
♡ "So you saw! The strength my arms have from the Underworld!"
♡ Will let you hold his arm, yes, arm at first
♡ You'll have to explain how you meant it and when he realizes he will start blushing
♡ Another one that I think has cold hands, but not enough for it to be uncomfortable
♡ If anything, they will quickly get used to any temperature your hands are!
♡ He will by all means, drag you around to see thing with him and he will not like to be separated from you
♡ Yes, he is touch starved and he loves you a lot ♡
Kazuichi Souda :
♡ He won't hesitate to hold your hand at all occasions!
♡ Truly, he thinks he's so blessed to be able to hold your hand
♡ But he won't really ask for it at first, because he is awkward about it
♡ "You want t-to... hold hands with ME?" He yelled out, a big blush evident all over his face.
♡ "Who else would I hold hands with?" You retorted, quickly nodding at his question.
♡ His hands will get clammy, but you will get used to it after some time
♡ He will hold your hand so much that he will hold your hands without really noticing it, he just does it after some time
♡ Yeah, he adores you and holding hands with you ♡
Nekomaru Nidai :
♡ He's quite oblivious, but a great support
♡ So if you want to hold hands with him, he will comply rather quickly
♡ "This is good," he grinned, he could feel your hand in his.
♡ He on the contrary has very warm hands and he's proud of it
♡ He's like a big cuddle bear and he would let you hang off of him like a monkey if you wanted to
♡ He has no sense of shame so he will proudly, but not annoyingly, boast about the fact that you held hands
♡ He is very proud and when he holds your hand you feel like he could protect you from anything
♡ He loves it ♡
Teruteru Hanamura :
♡ He'd honestly first try to to persuade you into doing much different things...
♡ But he will be left in shock at your quite innocent request
♡ It makes him melt
♡ "Y-you want to hold hands with me?"
♡ Maybe a chance of pace won't be so bad
♡ Another one that has warm hands and sometimes his hands will get very clammy from all his love for you
♡ Also, if he rushes too much in the kitchen his hands will be a bit sticky until he washes them
♡ He quite likes going anywhere with you and holding hands with you
♡ Makes him feel warm inside ♡
Izuru Kamukura :
♡ Well, this should be interesting
♡ He knows what hand holding is, he knows practically everything
♡ But he doesn't really see a reason for it??
♡ Maybe things like this aren't for him??
♡ You'd have to explain why you want to hold hands with him
♡ "Sure," he replied nonchalantly, your hand enveloping his in yours.
♡ The best way to get him to understand is by trying it first!
♡ At first he won't really get it, it's a little harder to move because you're holding onto him
♡ But he does find comfort in your presence and in the fact that you're holding hands with him ♡

I was wondering if you could do the s/o with sleep paralysis with the sdr2 cast like the dr1 ask. If not, completely understandable!
Of course I can! I love all of this sleep paralysis topic, sorry for being so slow btw, I'm just bad at not procrastinating, can't help it! Anyways, hope you like it~
The 2 part is here
DR2 CAST WITH AN S/O WHO HAS SLEEP PARALYSIS PART 1
Tumblr media
Hajime Hinata
•This poor boy keeps seeing Izuru and all the weird things he did during the tragedy when he closes his eyes
•So he knows how it is to get zero sleep
•But he doesn't want you to suffer that, you doesn't deserve it
•He tries to make his bedroom the most peaceful place to be
•The most illuminated, clean and out of obstacles so it doesn't scare you out
•But that doesn't work, you keep seeing the same weird things on your paralysis
•He even throw a chair once because you saw a man standing once
•And he always hugs you and comforts you when you wake up
•None of his efforts really work but you know he is trying hard and that makes you feel so loved and happy
•Plus you know he understands you better than anyone else and you are very happy about it
Chiaki Nanami
•She doesn't really sleep
•She spends her whole night gaming
•And then kinda... sleeps in class
•So you two never really sleep together
•But you do stay in her house a lot of times
•And she watches you sleep while playing
•It's a great excuse to see your cute face sleeping
•So when you wake up from one of your paralysis she knows something is off
•And she asks you so you tell her about it
•And then she decides to try and notice when you are having one
•Afterall she doesn't sleep at all, she doesn't mind to look at you a little closer to wake you up
•And she realizes that your parpados move quite a lot while you are having a paralysis
•So she always wakes you up when she sees that
•And then cuddles with you until you fall asleep again
•Just to go back to her game after that
•And always keeping an eye of you
•An excuse to look at you even more while you sleep? She loves it!
Nagito Komaeda
•Oh, he has sleep paralysis too!
•And since he was very little
•He thinks it is like an omen or something
•Whenever he has one something good is about to happen
•And the worse it is the better it is the next thing
•You know because that's how luck works
•So you two have a lot of sleep paralysis
•And talk about them later
•Usually you just cuddle and talk about what you have seen until you fall asleep again
•And sometimes what you have seen is the same and it scares you so much
•Because that's too much to be a casuality
•And you can't help but to think that those spirits are actually real and not just a product of your subconscient
•"Don't worry, S/O, it is just my bad luck affecting us and making us see the same, It's statistically possible you just gotta have bad luck!"
•Well, if you think about it, he is right
•And who has worst luck than him? No one
• So you just hug him again and go back to sleep
Kazuichi Souda
•You were sleeping with him but it didn't stop you from those sleep paralysis
•You could see him next to you, using more than half of the bed
•But you couldn't move or call his name
•And then you started to see shadows and weird silhouettes get near you
•Nearer and nearer everytime
•Until one of them reached you and touched your face with his long nails
•And you woke up
•Screaming of course
•And then Souda is screaming too
•He was scared, very scared
•"What it is? What it is, S/O?!!"
•He is grabbing you, holding onto you trying to hide all of his fear
•You explain him then what happened
•”So... like a nightmare?"
•"It isn't exactly like a nightmare, because you are actually awake so you feel everything a  lot more realistic and you really feel like it's here" you try to explain him
•"B... but... are those shadows real?"
•No, Kazu, they aren't
•He chills out after that
•Poor boy was totally ready to move to another house or even another country if those shadows were real
•And now, knowing it isn't real he can focus on you
•He knows it has to be horrible, he usually wakes up crying after a nightmare so he can't even imagine how horrible it has to be
•So he cuddles with you and caresses you all night
•And also suggest to keep the lights turn on
•Just in case... it helps you, you know?
•Yeah, sure, you aren't afraid at all, Kazuichi
•But you actually thank him for that
•He suggested it for himself but having the lights turned on help you
•You have much less terrifying paralysis this way
•Everything that can attack you looks less bad on the light
•And having Kazu holding onto you also helps to reduce your paralysis
•So you two decide to always have the lights turned on
•Not that he mind it, he has tried to convince you about it before knowing about your paralysis already, he isn't a big fan of darkness
•Actually he is very scared of darkness and didn't know how to tell you
•So he is glad this helps the two of you!
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu
•You had never had a sleep paralysis sleeping with him
•And you screamed when you woke up
•Well, you were scared so you had reasons to scream
•But know he is angry
•Someone woke him up and that makes him very very angry
•And then he realizes it's you, screaming, who woke him up
•That makes him even more angry
•And also worried
• Who or what dred to scare his beloved S/O?
•"What happened?! Is someone here?! Someone hurted you?! Someone tried to kidnap you?!"
•Okay, he is a little paranoid
•But he is the leader of the biggest yakuza clan, he is used to big problems so he gets on the worse easily
•You explain him the real problem as fast as you can so he calms down as soon as possible
•And he is relaxed
•Well, he is worried about you and gets that it is a horrible thing
•But he thought something a lot worse had happened
•So he hugs you and tries to reassure you
•But the one that has really been reassured is actually him
•Now you do manage to fall asleep on his arms
•And he waits until your breath gets heavier to try to sleep too
•He didn't want to sleep while you were scared
•But you are sleeping now and he has to get as many hours of sleep as he can or tomorrow he will be even more irritable than usually
Peko Pekoyama
•Again, you scream when you wake up
•And when you open your eyes you see your girlfriend with a sword in her hands
•Wow, she's fast
•"There's.... there's nothing..."
•She and Fuyuhiko are just as paranoids
•You try to explain her that it was just a sleep paralysis, like a nightmare but much worse
•And she gets it
•She just has to hold you and calm you to sleep
•You know she isn't the best with words or love gestures
•But she tries to cheer you up
•And being honest, seeing her with that sword just as soon as you woke up made you feel very vey safe
Ibuki Mioda
•You wake up very very disturbed
•You had just seen a girl next to you, sitting on Ibuki's lap
•So you are quite... scared
•And Ibuki wakes up with you
•She doesn't have a heavy sleep so she wakes up easily just with you moving a little
•And you explain her what happens
•She tries to cheer you up singing
•And sing you to sleep too
•But her voice is worse than the nightmares
•Not tha she's a bad singer, she is amazing
•She just... isn't very... relaxing to say
•And you know that If she keeps singing the neighbour's will probably call the police
•Because she is really loud
•So you just ask her to tell you about her day until you fall sleep again
•And then she talks while atroming your head until you fall sleep
•And you two discover that that's the best way for you to avoid having sleep paralysis
•Falling sleep in her arms while you listen to her day is the best way to keep you relaxed
Mikan Tsumiki
•She knows there are hundreds of ways to stop sleep paralysis
•But with medical proofs? Not so many
•She's the ultimate nurse so she really knows how to help stop them
•Have enough sleep, regular sleep patterns and being relaxed and comfortable going to sleep
•She can help you with all of that
•She steps an hour to go to bed so you have enough rest
•You two always sleep together since she knows about your paralysis so she will comprobar that you actually follow a sleep pattern
•And she tries to calm you and reassure you that nothing will happen while you sleep
•Caressing you, hugging you and being your personal teddy bear
•Of course with all of her usual shyness and clumness but it does help you feel better
•And if that doesn't stop your sleep paralysis then she knows the medicine that can help stop them
•She either prescribes you imipramine or clomipramine
•The point is that, however she manages to you do stop having those paralysis
•So go and thank your nurse girlfriend! She's definitely the best!
Did I write way too much for Kazuichi's one? Yes. Do I care? No, because I love him and he deserves all the love in this world
Well, I love how this came out too, the sleep paralysis S/O is a very good topic but I will cut it in two parts again so... wait a couple of days for the next one~ ♡ • Tenko can’t understand it either

SDR2 + GENSHIN IMPACT
I’ve put a fair amount of thought into each character! I might make one for DR1 and NDRV3 later, depending on if people like this... This includes SDR2 spoilers, and vague spoilers for the Genshin manga!
Tumblr media
HAJIME HINATA
VISION: N/A WEAPON: CLAYMORE PARTY BONUS: N/A
Visionless. He desperately wants a vision, seeing how many people succeed with them- But he’s never gotten the attention of the Gods. Even if he did have a vision, he’s not at all sure what he’d want. Eventually, he finds out about the Fatui’s experiments, and offers himself to them as a test subject.
Tumblr media
AKANE OWARI
VISION: PYRO WEAPON: CLAYMORE PARTY BONUS: Stamina consumed upon climbing reduced by 25%.
Akane’s fiery passion and strength earns her a Pyro vision. She fights with brute strength, both emotionally and physically, something the Pyro Archon admires- Even through the struggles of her youth, she never lost her spirit.
Tumblr media
TWOGAMI
VISION: GEO WEAPON: VERSATILE PARTY BONUS: Character switching cooldown reduced by 50%.
Incredibly, Twogami is capable of using any weapon, switching between them with practiced ease. It makes them a terrifying foe- Especially with the addition of their Geo vision. Twogami gained their vision thanks to their genuine, hard-working nature, and their appreciation of law. Their stoic nature may be harsh, but it’s reliable.
Tumblr media
CHIAKI NANAMI
VISION: ANEMO WEAPON: BOW PARTY BONUS: Incoming friendship EXP increased by 15%.
Chiaki spends most of her time napping, but her desire to make the world a better place is undeniable. She appreciates the small things in life, the wind through the leaves, the games the children play... She’d love this world to be good for them, and for her friends. This is why she was given an Anemo vision.
Tumblr media
FUYUHIKO KUZURYUU
VISION: ELECTRO WEAPON: CATALYST PARTY BONUS: Cooking ATK-Boosting foods grants a 25% chance to double the product.
Traditionally, people of his lineage use swords- Fuyu is an outlier here, finding an affinity for the more hands-off approach. He’s different to his family, different to others his age- And for this, the Electro Archon granted him a vision.
Tumblr media
GUNDHAM TANAKA
VISION: ELECTRO WEAPON: POLEARM PARTY BONUS: Gathering plants grants a 15% to receive double the product.
Gundham is the definition of an outsider, rebelling against the norm with shocking passion. Even when people stand against him, he refuses to submit... For this, he earned an Electro vision.
Tumblr media
HIYOKO SAIONJI
VISION: CRYO WEAPON: CATALYST PARTY BONUS: Increases party movement speed by 15%.
The Cryo archon, seeing Hiyoko’s stresses, took pity on her- This small girl in so much danger just for existing, putting up a harsh exterior to protect herself... She gave Hiyoko a Cryo vision, knowing she could handle the burden of ice and use it to protect herself.
Tumblr media
IBUKI MIODA
VISION: ELECTRO WEAPON: CLAYMORE PARTY BONUS: Party crit. rate is increased by 10%.
Yet another Electro wielder, Ibuki- Similarly to Gundham- is the epitome of an outsider. Shunned by her friends and old band, she struck out on her own as a soloist. Even though people call her music strange, she keeps on going, earning her respect from the Electro Archon.
Tumblr media
KAZUICHI SOUDA
VISION: GEO WEAPON: SWORD PARTY BONUS: Crafting swords and claymores reduces the materials needed by 15%.
Despite his emotional disposition, Kazu is hard-working to the core, placing value into physical labour. He’s worked hard to hone his skills, and his talent has earned him a Geo vision.
Tumblr media
MAHIRU KOIZUMI
VISION: DENDRO WEAPON: POLEARM PARTY BONUS: Cooking HP-Boosting dishes gives a chance to double the product.
Mahiru is intellectual, with a softness in her heart suited for Dendro. She cares for those around her, but her abilities can be used to enhance those around her. She’s most suited to a Dendro vision for this reason.
Tumblr media
MIKAN TSUMIKI
VISION: CRYO WEAPON: BOW PARTY BONUS: Party healing effectiveness increased by 15%.
Mikan has grown through trauma, and so, the Cryo archon knew she could withstand the burden of ice- Not only that, but use it to better the world and protect herself. On a more practical note, Cryo is useful for a nurse like Mikan, and it aids her in her work.
Tumblr media
NAGITO KOMAEDA
VISION: DENDRO CRYO WEAPON: SWORD PARTY BONUS: Chance of getting struck by lightning increased by 50%.
Nagito is an odd occurrence. Originally, he was given a Dendro vision exceptionally young... Unfortunately, it was broken during a bout of bad luck when he fell into the Abyss. Going visionless for most of his teen years, he was then given a second chance- This time, from the Cryo archon. He feels unworthy of this gift, believing that since he messed up the first time, he doesn’t deserve the kindness of the Archons.
Tumblr media
NIDAI NEKOMARU
VISION: PYRO WEAPON: CLAYMORE PARTY BONUS: Party synergy increased by 25%.
Although most people mistake Nidai as being an Electro wielder, he’s actually graced with a Pyro vision, due to his outstanding strength and passion. He’ll fight for what he believes in, willing to put himself on the line for the safety of those he cares for. Being the same weapon and vision type as Akane, they bond fairly quickly.
Tumblr media
PEKO PEKOYAMA
VISION: HYDRO WEAPON: SWORD PARTY BONUS: Incoming EXP increased by 15%.
Peko’s unwavering faith toward her master earns her a Hydro vision- The gift to enact justice upon her enemies without falter, a deadliness in her precision and clear mind. Being a Hydro wielder, she compliments Fuyuhiko’s Electro, allowing them to create Superconduct.
Tumblr media
SONIA NEVERMIND
VISION: HYDRO WEAPON: BOW PARTY BONUS: Grants a 15% chance of doubling any ore mined.
Sonia has a strong sense of justice, necessary for her position of leadership, and she’s unafraid to act on that. She believes in herself and the people around her with confidence- And for that, she earned the attention of the Hydro Archon.
Tumblr media
TERUTERU HANAMURA
VISION: GEO WEAPON: CATALYST PARTY BONUS: Effectiveness of dishes cooked increased by 25%.
Teruteru is a hard worker, and- Akin to other Geo wielders- Has crafted his talent from the ground up. The Geo archon took interest in his endeavors, and granted him a Geo vision.
Tumblr media
IZURU KAMUKURA
VISION: DELUSION (ALL) WEAPON: VERSATILE PARTY BONUS: N/A
An experiment by the Fatui involving injecting an Archon’s power directly into a non-vision wielder. He’s deadly and lacking in morals, acting as a tool for the Harbingers.

Dangan Persona Palace #8 (holy shit, this's a long one)
[Haven't written for this AU in ages but college sucks. Thank god for summer] Ruled by Hajime Hinata/Izuru Kamukura (it’s a weird mix). Captives are Chiaki Nanami and Nagito Komaeda (will be trapped forever if not rescued in time). This one is rather odd since, in the original timeline, Hajime and Izuru share the same body while in this timeline, as facilitated by the big bad, Izuru is his own person. Hajime's shadow is rather basic, he's the king of the castle, self-aggrandizing, and yet clearly insecure about himself. But Izuru's shadow is where things start going sideways then take a sharp corkscrew on different axes because he's the head patient of the facility, bound up in a straitjacket over a hospital gown, representing how Izuru (either version), just feels like some sick experiment. But there’s something off: Izuru in this version as his own person is just bad with emotions, but the shadow represents both universes’ versions of Izuru, so the shadow Izuru switches between being very emotional yet showing it poorly and having no emotions at all. In addition, the shadows also fuse into a combined form on occasion, looking like a filthy mental patient with a crown on their head that shocks them on occasion (like electroshock therapy that Hajime was subjected to as part of the IK project). In his boss form, the shadows split into 2 enemies: the Beggar King with 10K Faces (shadow Hajime, representing him as the Wild Card with a ton of Personas) and the Faceless 100-armed Mad God (shadow Izuru, representing how even with his many talents, he feels emotionless and empty). The actual palace itself is a strange mix of a standard fancy castle and an abandoned hospital where horrific experiments were performed on the patients. Many of the rooms and puzzles rely on the mixing of the 2. The enemy shadows mostly are various gods and deities, generally high-ranking ones, or absolute horror shows. What is very significant are the 2 mini-boss fights of this palace: a Shadow Nagito and Shadow Chiaki, set near the end of the hospital side and castle side respectively. This is technically related to plot developments a bit later on in the story but for the moment let's just call it "magic fuckery" and move on. Basically, Shadow Nagito is considered the model patient of the asylum while Shadow Chiaki is the "King's" closest advisor. The fight against Shadow Nagito is honestly really sad because it's very clear that he doesn't really understand what's going on or why he's hurting people, with this overwhelming sense of dread and misery coming from the Shadow. The fight itself is just as bad as you'd expect fighting a version of Nagito with his insane luck. His boss form is a torn to all hell voodoo doll of himself with a massive pin straight through his head among others. He uses Curse and Bless skills and almost every turn, he either misses or gets crits, with actually hitting him being a similar pain in the ass for anyone without a high luck stat or right after he got a critical hit on someone. Fortunately, his terrible health means that the Shadow has similar bad health and frankly, his defense is absolutely godawful, so if you can actually hit him, it would be a short fight. He's beaten down and honestly so fucking sad that they just have to take him to his room to rest and just take the key off of him to the final area. Now the fight against Shadow Chiaki, that's the real son of a bitch right there. The shadow is sincerely, incredibly bored by pretty much anything that comes to her path and she just wants shit to be over with already, sheesh, completely against how much real Chiaki cares. Because she's partially based on the original human Chiaki and there's some of the AI Chiaki from DR2, so when her actual fight comes, the Shadow's form (a spin on Sleeping Beauty where she's more of a very bored hikikomori, still in PJs and not even bothering to try sitting up) is glitching like a video game. That's not the worst part of it, though. The worst part comes when Akane, as one of the ones with the best speed, makes her first
attack and turns out, the glitching makes Akane glitch out as well, which is pretty much a special status where you act as erratically as possible and pretty much scrambles the metaphorical controls to hell and back. Akane tried to grab an item to cure the status and threw Kazuichi at the Shadow too, making him a liability too. So now part of the party is "glitched" and since they don't know how to fix them without possibly hurting them or risking getting infected in case it's a contagious effect, it's pretty much persona skills and items only until the fight ends. A detail made significantly harder by the fact that Shadow Chiaki, like regular Chiaki, knows everything about video games and basically it's a ton of meta bullshit that makes it one of the most annoying fights in the history of Persona or even the MegaTen franchise. By some great fortune, she's got bad defense and speed stats so if you can outspeed her, you can kill her fast. After the battle, shadow Chiaki retreats right away, conveniently leaving the key to the final boss room. In the final room, the 2 shadows are bickering while Nagito and Chiaki are in 2 cells behind them, respectively furnished like a very fancy hospital room and an awesome gamer pad. Which would be very nice if they weren't being held captive by the manifestations of their best friends' (lover in Nagito's case about Hajime) worst repressed parts of themselves in a parallel world. They confront the Shadows, both of them highly unamused with their "real" counterparts and especially taking time to just eviscerate pretty much every failing the Hinata-Kamukuras ever had, in this timeline and the original. Then, with that all resolved, they morph into the boss forms and thus start one of the hardest battles the party had ever faced because my god, these fuckers will just not go down! But that's not the end of everything, sadly, because there's a 2nd fight after this that I will elaborate on in the next part because this is getting way too long
---
Mod: The fighting against all the shadows must be pure hell. Because Nagito's BS luck is straight up unfair in every way there is. Chiaki's glitch status effect is disturbingly scary. And fighting against Hajime and especially Izuru is basically god tier level of difficult, since in the original (canon game) timeline he is basically superhuman and unbeatable. Also the designs you came up with rock! I can't even say with one I like the most, since all sound so awesome and fitting to them all. Well done
Going through the palace must be so confusing for the party. Because they can understand Hajime's part. He has one hell of an ego and thinks he's better than everyone else despite him really not being any better than anyone and being rather average. However Izuru makes no sense to them until they at some point find out the truth of the new time line, since Izuru isn't an experiment here after all unlike before

PFFFFFFT WAIT REALLY?! Listen hurt/comfort is my fav trope, I CAN KEEP GOING. NO LIES. Alright then here's another one! I think KuzuKomaHina would be interesting here, but if you're not comfortable with that then just Komahina is also great! (I'm a multishipper and my pain is immense. Gotta spread the love.) This could be either Non-despair...or Pre-despair depending on how much you wanna kill people. Heehee.
Hinata and Izuru are twins and both go to Hope's Peak, Izuru in the main course and Hinata in the reserve course. Hinata meets Izuru's hell class and they all warm up to him eventually, plus they feel bad for him. Izuru's an overgrown cat and Hinata's basically his babysitter, god bless his soul. Everything's somewhat hunky dory, because that Reserve vs Main course divide creates enough tension to be a problem. Then main class 78 is assembled, and Junko's batshit crazy and ready to drum up despair.
She still decides to try and break class 77, throw suspicion off of her and Mukuro, but there aren't any obvious cracks to be exploited within the class...until she sees the bonds they've all made with Hinata, Natsumi, and Sato. So Junko starts doing her despair schtick with those three, but mainly Hinata. I mean, mentally breaking the brother of the Ultimate Hope AND the boyfriend of one or two of the Ultimate Hope's classmates AT THE SAME TIME? That's the best first round of despair you can get, so Junko goes hard and all-in from the get-go with Hinata. She also starts with Natsumi and Sato, because their past is ROUGH and a great second round of despair for class 77.
But Hinata is her main focus. And when Hinata starts acting weird, class 77 don't know what's going on. Whether they figure out and save Hinata from Junko's plan or fall to Junko's game one by one is up to you...
multishipping is where it’s AT babeeey. i ship both hajime and fuyuhiko with ANYBODY that makes them happy, that’s it that’s my thing. and i like komahina. i like kuzuhina. kuzukomahina? that sounds IDEAL.
but oh man i love hajime and izuru being brothers? like, so much? and hajime as an honorary/adopted member of class 77b? my FRIEND this is too good.
izuru is 100% the first to notice what’s up. he lives with hajime, sees him all the fucking time, and on top of everything is the ultimate Everything. he doesn’t know WHAT’S up with hajime, but he does notice that hajime’s colder and spending less time with everybody. he blows off fuyuhiko and nagito (and they both take it VERY differently. nagito’s like “ah, it seems I’m not even good enough for a reserve course student, I am a bug!” and fuyuhiko is pissed off and basically yells at izuru to get his fucking brother in check), but then when they do see him he’s all weird and shit both fuyuhiko and nagito start hatching a plan to figure out what’s going on. izuru is in on it, because that’s his brother and he hates not knowing shit.
so uh, basically they start stalking hajime. they follow him around, take notes, like if this wasn’t his boyfriends and his brother this would be creepy as shit. slowly people start to ask where hajime is, or what’s up with him because like... dude’s usually one of the nicest motherfuckers out there and he’s gotten really fucking blunt recently. hell, sometimes he even gets mean, agreeing with nagito about him being worthless, that kinda shit and that’s when everybody really notices something is UP.
it ends up essentially becoming a class-wide thing, where they all report back to either izuru, nagito or fuyuhiko after seeing hajime. izuru is kinda the brains here, taking all the information he can get and analysing it, but it’s nothing he’s seen before ever.
and then one day, everybody’s wandering around the school grounds, and finds the stairway. when the walk through there, which is hajime’s idea, he disappears. like, off the face of the earth. it basically runs the same way as in the anime when chiaki is captured by junko, but instead he’s there willingly to show everybody he loves this beautiful thing called despair. he knows he’s going to die, and he loves it.
as shown previously though, izuru can’t be kept in one place if he doesn’t want to be there. ultimate escape artist who? anyway, when he hears junko’s voice, he knows what the fuck is up, he knows some shit’s about to go down if they don’t intervene immediately. the man manages to get them out of there, and starts running. everybody’s running with him (except for teruteru who’s complaining that he’s too short to go as fast as everybody else lmao). unfortunately, this is not anime izuru and he doesn’t know the layout of the place, but he does remember exactly where hajime disappeared and uses that to help him.
when they do find hajime, he’s basically bleeding out and he’s fucking pleased about it. he starts saying a load of really mean shit to fuyuhiko and nagito, how he hates them and shit, and it’s taking everything for fuyuhiko not to just deck him. yeah he’s dying, but he’s also being a massive douche?
most of the class carry hajime to the nurse’s office, so that mikan can stabilise him. izuru, nagito and fuyuhiko absolutely have more business in this building. using some logic that i am too tired to figure out because it’s nearly 6 in the morning rn they find junko, who blames mukuro entirely for everything going wrong. it isn’t mukuro’s fault, but that’s not the point here at all. she’s got the brainwashing video ready anyway, and starts going to play it when nagito just fuckin tackles her. this scrawy twink literally throws himself at junko at full force. fuyuhiko is restraining mukuro and izuru stops the video from playing.
back with hajime, when they were transporting him back to somewhere that he can be treated properly, juzo probably saw them and went in to try and find junko because they’ve got their whole thing. he walks in to find a skinny twink and a shortass restraining the Ultimate Despairs, and the human embodiment of a cat fucking with a brainwashing video. it would be hilarious if a student didn’t nearly just die.
either way, hajime gets stabilised but he’s still Royally Fucked Up and has to be basically restrained to stop him from trying to get back to Junko. Junko and Mukuro get fucking arrested (this will later cause media uproar because everybody loves Junko, but that’s not the focus here), and Izuru has to come up with a way to fix his brother.
I’m gonna leave that here because I need fukin SLEEP and maybe come back to it when I’m less dead but i am a sucker for a happy ending after a load of angst so for now ya get a happy(ish) ending, with everybody alive! for now!

More Danganronpa S, with some more big names
Kamukura (yass queen)
He’s already bored lol. He seems to be wondering about being here though, like maybe finding hope will amount to something.
Mahiru and Mikan scene again, Mikan trips again but Izuru actually catches her in time before she falls down. Mikan apologises and thanks Izuru, but he’s just like “eh I just held out my hand”. Mahiru unfortunately seems to have gotten a shot of certain things, and Mikan freaks out, proclaiming she might get stabbed by one of Izuru’s fans (hmm, now I wonder what Syo would think of him). Izuru says nobody outside HP knows he even exists, with Mikan saying maybe there’s secret admirers among the students. Mahiru just deletes the photo anyway, it’s embarrassing for everyone.
Scene with... Kaede and Mukuro, interesting. Izuru’s swimming, with Mukuro saying apparently he’s been gone since the morning, and Kaede and Chiaki were worried about him. Izuru’s just diving, and Kaede says he should just say if he’s gonna do something like that. Izuru just says “lol the Monokubs can confirm I still exist here”, but Kaede rebukes that, saying something bad could’ve happened. Apparently they disagreed with Chiaki and Usami on whether to leave him alone or not too. Izuru thinks they’re old enough to not report every single thing they did, but Mukuro insists otherwise because diving like this is pretty serious. Izuru found it boring anyway, though he admits being in the ocean depths was somewhat pleasant, almost like he was asleep while still awake. Kaede insists that he can tell her if he’s doing something that big, and Izuru says he’ll keep it in mind.
Byakuya thinks Izuru could use all the weapons here no problem, even suggesting he could use them on the Monobeasts. Izuru confirms he could indeed use the weapons and take them down pretty quickly, so Byakuya wonders why he doesn’t, even wondering if it’s another of his “infantile excuses”. He says he already knows the answer, so Byakuya just says if he doesn’t know what to do with his abilities, he could use them for him. He even says he’d be well compensated, but Izuru says he’d be hard to control and Byakuya would become reliant on his talents. Byakuya isn’t impressed with that comment, saying he would never kneel before others, and that others should kneel before him. Izuru sees his confidence, with Byakuya saying how he made his way to where he is himself, and Izuru says he’ll think about his scouting. Byakuya hates waiting, while Izuru says he assures him it will be at the end of the trip he has an answer. He also says Taka mentioned he lacked effort, and HP wants him to do things different to usual for him. Izuru is prepared for the possibility he might not have an answer, while Byakuya finds him using talent elsewhere is preposterous.
Izuru is carrying stuff for Himiko, lol. Because of how effortless it is, Himiko dares him to lift up more stuff. Izuru finds it boring, and Himiko isn’t impressed, saying how she wants to entertain and make people smile. Himiko asks if he’s ever done something for someone like that, and naturally Izuru hasn’t. Himiko continues to insist on her suggestion, saying that foreseeing and doing are different things. Izuru starts to find the idea interesting, though Himiko says he probably needs to learn to smile himself first, lol.
As Sayaka is out jogging, so is Izuru (“for once”). Sayaka likes the scenery, while Izuru is purely clinical, saying he’s doing exercise just to maintain his physical condition. Sayaka can see that in him, feeling he’d be the type to quietly keep things in order since he has no goals. Izuru notes her positive spin on things, and Sayaka is actually surprised he’d say something like that. Izuru reads it as something she wouldn’t expect from him, but Sayaka acknowledges she only has perspective on one side of him, and she doesn’t even know him too well.
Izuru talks to Sonia, and they note how both of their lives are basically predetermined and people will worship them just for existing. Sonia actually kinda relates, and tells Izuru to not hesitate to come talk to her. He’s confused since he expects her kingdom would come first though, lol.
He’s talking to Komaeda, who agrees he has infinite potential and he’d say that about himself. Komaeda wants to see some of that infinite potential, but Izuru finds the idea boring, and Komaeda apologises and is all self deprecating as usual. Izuru says it has nothing to do with him, he just wonders what having infinite potential and implementing it would even mean for him. Komaeda is intrigued that even Izuru has things to struggle with, but says he won’t hesitate to help if he needs it.
Izuru wonders about straying from his expected course, and isn’t sure it would be ideal. Leon almost sees some relatability, but Izuru rebukes him by saying simply wanting to change to music is different from having every talent ever. Leon suggests just slacking off, lol. Izuru is quick to notice Leon is just projecting his own desires onto him. They then decide to chill and watch a movie.
Komaeda is happy to be at the movies with Ryoma and Izuru, the latter says it doesn’t matter having others though because you just sit quietly. Ryoma explains having others around can change the atmosphere, eg hearing them laugh or cry. Izuru wonders why Ryoma would want strangers around him given his background, but he says to him it’s still part of the theatre experience. Izuru finds it hard to imagine any of them laughing or crying at a movie though (IDK, I think maaaaybe Komaeda might have it in him, if the movie is hopeful enough :P).
Monokuma time! Monokuma’s reading a manga about an OP hero who mows everyone down effortlessly (like Izuru :v), and finds it boring. Izuru thinks he’s wasting time if so, while Monokuma rebukes he’s even more of a time waster because he’s not even reading anything. Apparently Izuru is just chilling cuz he took care of the Monobeasts, which naturally disappoints Monokuma. Monokuma wonders if he should join the beasts if he’s so powerful, and Izuru says it wouldn’t matter - whatever side he’s on will win. Monokuma calls him game breaking and if he were in a manga it would be super boring. :P Izuru agrees, though Monokuma thinks if Izuru himself wrote it, it would somehow become a bestseller. Monokuma sees his predetermined harmony as pure despair, while Izuru considers it inconsequential.
Izuru ends up taking Gonta to a place with bugs because he asked him about bugs. Gonta is happy to talk, and asks Izuru if he likes them. Izuru says he’s only studied them and has no preference either way, and Gonta actually is somewhat relieved because neither liking or disliking them is nicer than straight up not liking them. Gonta says he doesn’t just love bugs, but everyone at HP too, and wonders about Izuru’s feelings on humans. He has the same neutral answer, so Gonta promises to work harder to make him like him more. Izuru just calls him simple, so simple he doesn’t need to analyse. :v
Hiyoko wonders why Izuru is looking at gifts. Izuru is simply looking, and notices pranks the devs weren’t involved in. Hiyoko looks closer and sees Monokubs. :v Izuru then points of Monokub snacks. Hiyoko isn’t impressed with them, or their efforts in general. Hiyoko then wonders if Izuru could make Japanese sweets, to which he says he could if he had the ingredients. Hiyoko says not to half arse it, but Izuru assures her he even has the specific talent of “Eastern Pastry Chef”. Hiyoko comments there should be an Izuru in every home, though then says that would get depressing. Izuru then says he has the talent of comedian. :v Hiyoko finds the idea ridiculous, but hilarious at the same time (maybe that’s how he does it :v). Unsurprisingly, Izuru has no plans to use that talent.
Gundham questions Izuru, and Izuru assumes he’s asking if he has pets. He never has, never being outside HP. Gundham isn’t surprised, though Izuru says he does know how to handle animals. Gundham feels even with this talent he doesn’t really understand them though, lacking a connection to the animals he’d work with. Basically, Gundham saying if he has this potential but won’t use it, he should use the time in VR to have an animal as a pet. Since Izuru was told to do things he wouldn’t and he’d consider unnecessary, he considers it.
Izuru is performing Momotaro. He goes off script with Maki, and she’s surprised but think it would be fun, so they end up making a flashy fight scene.
Komaeda’s just... standing there on the stage, lol. Komaeda just thought his job was done, but Izuru says he can be a shield for the Demon King. Komaeda agrees because hope.
Scene with Kaede at the bonfire, huh. She just wants to see how he’s doing, and says he probably knew that she’d say that anyway. He indeed knew, sensing her emotions, and Kaede remarks she’s weirdly used to him by now. She mentions he doesn’t use his all knowing abilities for bad, and Kamukura says he simply has no reason to. Kaede said even if he did one day, she wouldn’t be afraid. She’s curious to see where he goes anyway, even if it’s a bad path. Izuru wonders if he’d settle for something like a goal to have no goals. Kaede doesn’t buy it, and she wants to see him smile someday after all. She’d support him anyway though.
Kamukura says to Gundham that mage isn’t a real talent, though he has the magician talent. Somewhere, Himiko is raging. Gundham considers him to be joking and thinks there might be more deep down, and even if Izuru insists otherwise, Gundham isn’t convinced.
Fuyuhiko offers to get Izuru out of Hope’s Peak, lol. He isn’t into the idea too much. Fuyuhiko recognises that even though he can do pretty much anything, he’s basically trapped by his existence.
Ending scene with... Ibuki and Kaede? Huh, odd choice. Ibuki is happy that Izuru came to their collaborative performance, and they came to him to get specific impressions. Izuru thinks technically they know where to work on things, but with the show itself there were too many climaxes. Ibuki thinks maybe she went overboard. :P Kaede wants to know how he felt, to which he just says he completed a song. Ibuki reads that as him basically getting inspired by their music to make his own, to which he confirms. Kaede wants to hear his music, he says it’s nothing special, but Kaede insists it is to them, especially if THEY were able to somehow inspire him. Izuru explains that because Kaede and Ibuki combining forces was actually somewhat chaotic, it lead to something unpredictable. Kaede and Ibuki are pumped to explore this more, and Izuru agrees, tho he says it’s just because it’s part of his camp assignment.
Komaeda
First scene, Mikan! Apparently Monaca has been doing everything to avoid her. Mikan I guess feels concerned about her (not knowing she’s not really disabled). Komaeda then checks to see if they’ve met before or if they’ve done anything since camp started. Mikan of course hasn’t, but can’t help but assume things anyway. Mikan has apparently been watching her from afar, and says she’s also been avoiding Sakura and Nekomaru. Komaeda reads this as the people who know most about human anatomy. Mikan assumes she mustn’t like people prying her about her legs, while Komaeda wonders if she’s hiding something (dammit I hate that he’s right even though I hate the faking disability thing). Komaeda recommends to just keep her distance since she seems healthy, because becoming overbearing might just make it worse. Mikan just hopes she can trust her if she needs help.
Komaeda’s asking about Angie’s art, heh. Angie does the usual “it’s Atua’s work”, Komaeda is as self deprecating as ever. Angie says she can show him more if he offers a sacrifice... and Komaeda’s only concern is if he’d be good enough to sacrifice for her talents. Angie says it’s fine as long as he has enough blood for it. Angie then goes on about how Atua watches over everyone, but Komaeda isn’t sure about that. Angie warns him he’ll be punished, but Komaeda just wonders if said punishment will get turned into good luck for him somehow. Angie is confused, lol.
We’re with Rantaro and Yasuhiro. Yasuhiro gets an idea, and says it requires someone with good luck. Komaeda is surprised to see it means him, and Yasuhiro seems to think having him around will somehow make him luckier and get better fortune telling results, lol. Yasuhiro explains to Rantaro that for example, if the client needs help finding something, Komaeda’s luck would help them find it. Komaeda agrees he has good luck, but thinks he’ll be disappointed. Using the hypothetical, he says he’d find the item, but doesn’t know how it ties to the fortune. Rantaro does get out of him that he’d still be able to do it though. Rantaro wants to test this out, and even says he’s happy to compensate them and won’t have hard feelings about the result. Komaeda is thrilled to see him push forward like this. Yasuhiro’s tone changes when Komaeda says Rantaro can keep the money and he just wants to help though. :v He decided to ditch the idea, saying he doesn’t want to risk anything with “Ranty” given he’s a customer of his, and they agree to just stick to regular fortunes instead of one supposed 100% accurate prediction. Komaeda is disappointed he can’t help, but he lets them be.
Komaeda sees Kazuichi and catches on to the fact he doesn’t like him. :P Kaz clarifies he just can’t really deal with him, with all his weird hope shit. What Komaeda takes from this is... he’s just bad at explaining. He figures his reaction makes sense, given he doesn’t understand. Kazuichi seems to think Hajime got what he was saying, and Komaeda thinks he’s an unusual case, calling his actions reckless due to the lack of talent. Kazuichi thinks that wasn’t nice to say and thought they were friends, and Komaeda confirms they are. He thinks Kaz might be talking to him since he’s also friends with Hajime, and clarifies he doesn’t have to be friends if he doesn’t want to, he just wants to be a stepping stone for hope. Kazuichi finally nails what puts him off though - he never sees anyone as an equal, and mentions it’s creepy and uncomfortable. In a really interesting moment though... he actually seems somewhat self reflective, saying he’s one to talk, presumably thinking about how he treats Sonia. Komaeda then talks more about how amazing he is and the hope that will come, which just annoys Kaz even more, saying he feels like Komaeda’s not even talking to a real version of him but an idealised one. Komaeda is sad his sincerity is failing to reach him, Kaz is just annoyed he’s failing to understand his point. Komaeda promises to be quieter around him, and Kaz is just tired of him.
Swimsuit scene with Hajime. Apparently this is Komaeda’s first time to the beach with friends, and he isn’t really familiar with doing any beach activities. Komaeda actually seems somewhat concerned with the effect his luck would have on said activities, and wants to keep his distance from the others. Hajime assures him it will be fine (especially since this VR is safer than life), and everyone will be there to help. Komaeda ends up coming around to Hajime, tho he says WHEN something happens he’ll be sure to get Mikan. :P
Scene with Mahiru and Shuichi. Apparently Mahiru’s camera is broken, Komaeda blames his luck and Mahiru is confused as this hasn’t happened before. Shuichi to the rescue as he sees them both concerned. Komaeda is happy about this, because he mentions the “ghost photo” that Mahiru doesn’t remember taking, he noticed it as he looked at her photos. Komaeda explains the human figure he noticed, and Shuichi is sceptical. Mahiru then shows him, and Shuichi gets it. Mahiru then goes through everything that happened when she took those photos, and it’s clear something’s amiss. They even discuss that nothing could’ve gotten in, with only the Monobeasts being a disturbance. Komaeda then asks “Mr Ultimate Detective” to investigate, and even promises he’ll be rewarded. Mahiru isn’t into Komaeda’s weirdness and says Shuichi can just ignore him, but Shuichi agrees to investigate anyway. He doesn’t have any actual detective work to do, and thinks something like this could help his assignment. Komaeda is thrilled he can count of Shuichi, lol. Mahiru agrees to let Shuichi look into it, but says he doesn’t have to stress over it.
Komaeda talks to Leon, wondering if he plans to go into a career that makes use of his talents. Leon says he might as well, others seem to support that, and Komaeda’s really into it. They then talk about how Leon could be a big hit, but when Leon says he might not have time for baseball, Komaeda insists he should focus on his current talent, to become an embodiment of hope. Leon retorts saying what he does is his business. Komaeda says he can enjoy the fame, but the purpose of his talent should be to spread hope. Leon isn’t having it, and insists he wants to make the world love him. :v Komaeda... actually agrees with that part.
Scene with Toko, ooo. Komaeda’s doing his usual hope ranting, and Toko’s tired of it and thinks he’s unpleasant. He promises not to be a bother, and Toko says she hates the servility of him too (okay, is this all gonna be Toko ironically saying things about herself?). Toko then accuses him of thinking the same about her, and Komaeda says he wouldn’t dare to think something so rude. Toko wished she moved the moment he appeared, and mentions she wants to use this time to dine with friends. Komaeda is surprised that she has them, and Toko then replies wondering if maybe HE’S the one without friends. :P Komaeda then reveals to her surprise he DOES have friends, though he does question their taste, lol. Toko wonders why he’d sit near her, then. With how awkward things are, Komaeda wonders if they should change seats, but Toko thinks they’re screwed even if they do since it would be conspicuous.
Apparently Komaeda caught a cold and Korekiyo is reading to him? Komaeda’s enjoying the book, Korekiyo is happy people are into his book recs. Komaeda figures he would because of his interest in humanity, and Korekiyo even says the allure of anthropology being different for many shows humanity’s beauty itself. He’s happy to recommend more to Komaeda, but he wants to leave because hospital rooms bring back unpleasant memories (I assume he’s talking about his sister here). Komaeda notices Kiyo seemed different at the end, there.
Komaeda helps Chihiro find a drink they like... apparently even though they designed the shop layout, the shelf was too high for them. Chihiro is surprised he found it so quickly, and Komaeda mentions his talent, and goes on to rave about Chihiro’s. He has some questions for them, and as thanks for getting the drink Chihiro talks to him about them.
A scene with Nagisa, interesting. Nagisa isn’t crazy about him showing up, though even as Komaeda promises to leave soon, he does admit he’s concerned about Nagisa overworking himself (yeah, remember that fucked up shit?). Nagisa claims he knows his limits, but Komaeda sees he’s pale and assures him he can’t improve without looking after himself. Komaeda offers him a nutritious drink, apparently from a recipe by Kirumi. Nagisa is annoyed and leaves, so Komaeda just drinks it himself, lol.
Komaeda talks to Kaito. Komaeda talks about how he helps inspire others and cultivate their talents, citing how Shuichi and Maki have grown. Kaito mentions them as his sidekicks, and he enjoys Komaeda’s attitude. He even offers Komaeda to join the squad! Komaeda declines, even if Kaito insists, because he wants to just witness the hope from afar. Kaito apparently keeps insisting tho, lol.
Monaca time. Komaeda gets her some shaved ice with Monokub colours. Komaeda is happy to help the future hopes, Monaca has no idea what he’s saying though. :v Besides napkins, he also gets her... mayo, because apparently some people put mayo on everything? As Komaeda goes to get stuff, Monaca thinks to herself that she should stop asking him to get food, lol. Monaca finds his hope obsession is weird, and when you think she’s gonna say she prefers despair, she just says she’s bored of the trip and wants it to end.
Momotaro play with Komaeda now! Himiko worries because the peach Momotaro is born from malfunctions, so Komaeda just tells her to use magic to fix it. She obviously has excuses not to, but Komaeda still thinks she can do something.
Something goes wrong with the dumplings, Komaeda offers to make some to replace them even if they’re not prop ones. Rantaro feels weird letting him do it because of play roles though so he goes to do it himself, which leaves Komaeda disappointed he can’t help.
Komaeda talks to Shuichi at the bonfire. Apparently Komaeda gave Shuichi jobs to do, including looking into his past? Komaeda says to take his time to “use” these cases to refine his talent. Shuichi... takes offense to that. Komaeda explains even if these are events in the past for him, analysing them could mean something for a detective like Shuichi. He outright says he doesn’t want answers and just want Shuichi to grow his abilities. :v Shuichi says he’ll do this like any other job and report what he finds to him, whether he cares or not. Komaeda looks forward to it, and Shuichi then mentioned he’s almost done investigating the ghost stuff at the camp. Komaeda naturally is impressed and makes it about his talent. :v
Komaeda asks Monokuma if he’s planning anything, who then says it’s basically useless answering because Komaeda thinks he is anyway. Monokuma then says nobody knows who or what he is, or why he’s into despair, saying everyone’s in the dark. He says the only way to find out is to submit to despair... Komaeda naturally refuses.
We end with... Kokichi and Monomi. Peculiar match up, huh. Kokichi is amazed at his positivity, and Komaeda remarks nobody has called him specifically that before. Monomi says Nagito is a little self deprecating and that’s why positive isn’t what usually comes to mind for people. Kokichi calls her a liar, saying the self deprecation is far from little. :P Komaeda apparently isn’t even trying to be, he just thinks he’s honest. Kokichi wonders if Komaeda really doesn’t get how people see him or if he’s just messing with him. All Monomi says is that she doesn’t believe Komaeda is telling any lies, to which Komaeda confirms, saying he’d never lie without a good reason. Komaeda wonders why he’d waste time with him, while Kokichi says he’s actually curious about his talent because his class doesn’t have a lucky student. Komaeda just says to pay attention to him, then you will understand him and how his luck works.

No Continues For The Ultimate Gamer
Summary:
Chiaki Nanami is faced with the consequences of living life without fear.
She's out of continues.
You can read it on AO3 here
She thinks that she should’ve seen this coming. A trap this obvious is always shown in games. The main character doesn’t live and the story progresses to someone else.
She didn’t think it would happen to her.
She wonders, briefly, if that’s her fault for being too self-absorbed.
She’s in immeasurable pain, and she’s almost towards the finish line. But a voice in her head tells her that it’s game over no matter what she does.
It’s not wrong, probably. But it’s not like she has any other options.
She has to reach her friends, to try to save them from Junko Enoshima, even if it costs her her life.
Like a dialogue choice that will reach the same inevitable conclusion, her story line is coming to a close.
If she waits here, she’ll bleed out. If she reaches out, she’ll probably be impaled.
At least going for the possibility of living is more positive than just dying here for sure, she thinks.
Everyone… I’ll save you all so we can live peacefully. Runs through her mind, it’s a desperate mantra for sure.
One she doesn’t even believe.
The end of the maze is clear in her sight. The exit is right there, like it had to be.
Every instinct she has honed from playing games screams trap, but they’re dulled by the intense pain from the spikes that have already impaled her body.
It’s over… the exit, right in my reach…!
She goes for the door, and like a part of her already knew, more spears impale her body.
Even with the best healing, she couldn’t live through this.
But… there’s someone there, watching her suffer.
She recognizes him, Hajime Hinata, her friend who she had long since lost contact with.
“H...hajime…?” she whispers weakly, she has no other option. “It’s… really you… isn’t it…?”
“No,” Hajime, or whoever is wearing his face, answers. “I am nothing like my predecessor.”
She blinks weakly, not knowing what else to say. “It’s funny… I… wanted to play games with you and everyone, at least… one more time…”
“As your dying wish?”
“It’s not fair,” she continues.
It’s never been fair for either of us, has it?
“You truly are a foolish girl, Chiaki Nanami,” Hajime says, although not unkindly. “Your death will bring them nothing and yet you are hoping for something so pointless.”
“Maybe…” she agrees, tears slowly leaving her eyes. Her vision is fading, but she doesn’t want to die.
“How boring,” Hajime says. “You beg for your life as well.”
Had she said that out loud…? She couldn’t tell.
“Is that so bad…?” she’s sobbing now, she can’t help it. “I… don’t want to be alone, Hajime.”
She reaches out. Her arm hurts but at the same time she can’t feel it.
She’s always been alone, even with her friends. How cruel of life to end the same way.
Hajime doesn’t grab her hand as her vision turns dark one last time.
Chiaki Nanami isn’t sure if she’s ever actually lived during her time at Jabberwock Island.
Sure, she’s part of her classmates roster, but she’s the only one who isn’t organic. She isn’t exactly human.
An AI created in the image of the original Chiaki Nanami, a person who is long dead.
She wonders if that means she’s dead too. Afterall, can you really count an AI as a living being?
It’s not something she’d usually ponder, but now she has been given no other option.
Her “death” or whatever actually awaits her is soon to come. She’s the blackened in the “murder” of Nagito Komaeda.
Her friends, or at least she’d like to think of them as such, refuse to believe her.
The blackened is the traitor of the group and coincidentally she's also the traitor. So according to her API she has to be the blackened.
But how does one define a traitor? She’s acting in the best interest of her friends, although they don’t know it yet.
They’re currently on the side of despair and she was created for the side of hope.
So technically, she’d have to admit that she’s a traitor.
...Probably.
“Hey Hajime?” she begins, smiling sweetly as if her life wasn’t on the line. “I need you to do one more favor for me.”
Hajime Hinata stares at her brokenly, he already knows what she’s going to ask.
“I need you to prove that I’m the traitor,” she continues. “Please, Hajime, it’s important.”
“Why…?” he asks her.
“Because I’m the blackened,” she says.
“Why…?”
I’m not sure what you’re asking, she thinks. Are you asking me why I’m sacrificing myself or is something else…?
“Hajime,” she says sternly. “There’s no other way, probably.”
“Why…?!”
“Please,” she pleads. “You’re the only one who can do this, maybe.”
I don’t think I want to die, she thinks. But I don’t think there’s another way.
“Seriously… why?!” Hajime cries, and she can’t blame him.
She’s not feeling much better herself.
Hajime powers through it, like she knew he would.
Her friends are reluctant to believe Hajime, but they know there’s no other choice.
Is she really about to die…?
How is she supposed to feel about this sort of thing?
Is she even real?
“Chiaki!” Sonia cries, voice commanding even through her tears. “I do not believe that you are the traitor, so please try to explain to us!”
How is she supposed to explain that she’s a computer program? That she cannot feel and can’t betray her programming.
Or rather, she thinks she isn’t supposed to feel.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t explain it to you, probably,” Chiaki says. “But everything will work out in the end, okay?”
I don’t want to die, she thinks suddenly as soon as the words leave her lips. There’s nothing outside of this game world for me but I don’t have any other choice…
Monokuma, or rather Junko, although she doesn’t know if they’re two separate programs or just one pretending to be two, announces her execution cheerfully.
Surprisingly, Monomi agrees to be executed with her, stating that she won’t let her student deal with this alone.
That’s not right isn’t it…? She thinks. Aren’t all of your students actual people…?
Is this instance of Chiaki Nanami even… real?
As her execution starts, with a bunch of Monomis aiding her, she can’t help but feel at least some sort of approximation to dread.
She tries to flee her death, but it seems that the escape was just a cruel trick.
I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die, repeats in her head like a part of her is glitching.
Before the tetrimino hits her, she closes her eyes for one last coherent thought.
I wanted to be real too.
On Jabberwock Island, it’s a somber sort of day for Hajime Hinata.
Memories from Izuru Kamukura and his own twist in his head into a sickening swirl.
But even if some memories overwhelm him, there’s one anchor he’ll never be able to let go of.
Chiaki Nanami, his closest friend and perhaps even someone he loved even more.
Although he never got to tell either of them that, which might be the cruelest part of everything he’s been through so far.
Tonight is one of those nights where he can’t help but think of the girl who was more interested in games than other people.
At least before she met him.
And although he can’t tell her how much she meant to him, he can keep her memory alive.
Tonight is one of the rarer nights where Hajime Hinata allows himself to grieve.
Secretly, Izuru Kamukura might be grieving in his own way too.
They both agree to keep this secret between themselves.

This is my classpect master post for Danganronpa 2! It's been a while since my post for the first game, mostly because I was stuck on a few characters (it was much harder overall for some reason), but I'm finally done, god bless. I’m hoping to start and finish V3 soon to work on the next classpect post
Hinata Hajime- Page of Hope
-actively exploits and is served possibilities and positivity. Hope was easy for Hajime, because even though he's more of a "realist" than our other hope players, he's a fantastic beacon of encouragement to the people around him. Somehow he just knows the right things to say in order to lift people's spirits. He definitely didn't start out with much hope himself though. He was bitter and futureless, attending the Hope's Peak reserve course as more of a conciliatory prize than anything. But Chiaki bumped into him and gave him the belief that he's not any worse by not having a talent. And later, he was given a huge opportunity to take part in the "hope cultivation plan". There's a lot of self-denial going on with him, trying not to admit to others that he's only in the reserve course and trying to convince himself that he doesn't care that much, which runs rampant in pages and knights.
Kamukura Izuru - Muse of Hope
-passively embodies possibilities and beliefs. On my previous classpect post with the DR1 characters, I said I didn't do the master classes but I've changed my mind. I'm not going to go back and edit my post but I'm definitely sorting Junko as a lord and Izuru as a muse. There's nothing else he could be. Extreme passivity and preoccupation with personal belief and possibilities (what is interesting, what is boring, is there anything I can't do?). He *is* possibilities in that he has so many talents, he can do nearly anything. Also, this just goes to show that no class, aspect, or title is inherently good or bad. Some might be more inclined to, uh, moral confusion, but we all make our own choices.
Owari Akane- Mage of Life
-actively understands and guides energy and growth. Life seems a pretty solid fit for her, as she's basically grown up overcoming obstacles, metaphorically and literally as she does parkour and gymnastics. Her relationship with food is all about energy and not about quality (... she eats crushed flowers after Hiyoko tells her you get more protein when you crush the food). What really sold me on mage though, was her intuition. She's really noted for her accurate gut feelings; she can tell when someone is strong even when they don't look it and I learned after reading her wiki that in the "ultimate talent development plan" she could sense Mukuro and Maki weren't who they appeared to be.
Komaeda Nagito- Bard of Light
-passively destroys information and fortune. A lot of people say he's hope but while that could fit, light fits so much better. His cycle of good luck & bad luck makes sense as he's drawn to luck as a light player but then destroys it as a bard. Most importantly though, the way he wields information like a weapon to confuse and undermine people really solidifies it for me. Somehow, someway, he always knows (or acts like he knows) much more than everyone around him. His dialogue is endless exposition and self-centered but all his information is given to manipulate people and tear them down.
Pekoyama Peko- Knight of Doom
-passively serves systems, restrictions, and suffering. She serves the system she's always known. She is a tool to be wielded by Fuyuhiko and nothing more. Her feelings and desires are pushed down because there's no point in expressing them. She's very good at what she does though, she definitely exploits the rules she adheres by enough to be called an Ultimate. And even though she doesn't express her emotions, it's clear that her suffering has made her empathetic, as she's respectful and one of the few people who holds basic decency towards Nagito.
Kuzuryu Fuyuhiko- Prince of Blood
-actively destroys through relationships and bonds. He's destructive and he acts like it; heir was the only other class I was considering but he's very active and more into intentional destruction than unintentional changes. Obviously he destroys nearly any chance of close relationships with his classmates, but as a yakuza his job is to use his connections to lead, which often involves tearing down other gangs and ties. And finally, he destroys his only real relationship after Peko is executed after he orders her to kill Mahiro.
Hanamura Teruteru- Maid of Rage
-actively creates rage and limitations. I think maid fits well from the start, as he's a cook and that's all about creation. He definitely inspires rage in people, and the doubt and disbelief of rage is very evident in his constant denial of his surroundings. He created a lot of fear and negativity in himself because he wouldn't settle on believing or refusing what was going on- he needed to know the truth and that drove him to acting out. His insistence on being called "chef" and that he's from the city both fuel a sort of self-delusion that seems to be common with rage.
Nanami Chiaki- Rogue of Blood
-passively steals and relocates relationships and bonds. She is very focused on interpersonal relationships, and not just those centered on herself. To some extent, she's able to connect with everyone including reserve course Hajime, and black sheep Nagito. In the game, she's *really* good at redirecting people. If they're focused on arguing with someone, she manages to turn it around for the better, like with Hiyoko's shrine to Mahiru. She also fits the rogue archetype well, as in the anime she was an outcast in the beginning, and- this might just be my opinion- honestly I don't think anyone ever seriously got close to her as well as they did with some of the others.
Tanaka Gundham- Witch of Hope
-actively changes beliefs and possibilities. Honestly, I could see a bit of everything in him. I think witch fits very well with his aesthetic, but it also fits his choices. Witches are highly active but often off doing their own thing instead of cooperating with everyone; he spent more time looking for his earring than investigating for the first trial. Hope very clearly fits the zany belief system he has, but it also fits in other ways. It's not obvious because of his vernacular, but he has a crazy amount of optimism; he gets regular remarks ranging from "politely shunning" to "outright hurtful" and they never seem to seriously bother him. I view his act in chapter 4 as a grand example of changing his classmates' hope.
Sonia Nevermind- Knight of Breath
-passively exploits and serves through freedom and direction. While she is a princess, she definitely does not act like a prince. Instead she considers her title to essentially be a servant to her people. She isn't above them in anything but position, and she needs to direct them to a better future. She is cooperative and helpful to the rest of the class but not in the healer way a sylph would be, more in the useful motivator kind of way. She serves the team by keeping a composed head and encouraging everyone to stay calm and work towards the goal. She expresses the motivation and direction aspects of breath more so than freedom but it still shows in her detachment from everyone else due to her status. She's never really had close bonds before Hope's Peak.
Saionji Hiyoko- Thief of Time
-actively steals time. I went through several different titles for her in between analyzing other characters. She definitely fits the role of thief with a personality comparable to Vriska and Meenah. Dancing is a time activity as you need perfect timing for a routine, and traditional dancing even more so since it's lasted for centuries. Personally, I think because of her upbringing she is not quite acting as she wants to, and is ghosting the knight of space. She wants to be bold and confident, able to take up the time of others and act meaningfully, but she's hesitating; serving others space to keep them away and is pretending she's more capable than she is. She was kept spoiled and helpless growing up which means she developed the personality and drive of a thief, but not the skills needed for one.
Mioda Ibuki- Sylph of Heart
-passively heals emotions and sense of self. To me she is very clearly a heart player. She's very sure who she is and doesn't mind expressing it, and all of her free time events with Hajime are centered around helping him with his identity. She's friendly and gets along with pretty much everyone in some way, including "Byakuya", Mikan, and Hiyoko; all of which are not so easy to hold friendships with. I think it's interesting how much she likes "Byakuya" considering his constant identity crisis and I wonder if she can sort of sense that. She's loud and she stands out, but she's a pretty passive person concerning her actual actions and mostly helps people individually.
Souda Kazuichi- Page of Space
-actively exploits and is served space. I like space for him; I think the creationistic, physically-oriented, free-flowing structure of space suits his nature well. He's more concerned with the journey rather than getting to the perfect end results, as shown by the examples we have of his machines. One of his inventions automatically draws the lines on a soccer field but it had no stopping mechanism and escaped from the school grounds- it was quite a success to him though! He dreams of creating an incredibly fast bike that he can't even ride and he enjoys every step of the process even though it's taking him a while. He has created an intimidating physical persona for himself by dying his hair and wearing contacts to give him a punk look, but others comment that it doesn't quite match his jumpy, anxious personality. This is on-par for pages, who often feel the need for a mask, because he is now served space by strangers due to his appearance.
Koizumi Mahiru- Seer of Space
-passively guides and understands space. I struggled with her a bit as we really don't know much about her. She's kind of plain compared to the other outlandish personalities and she says she doesn't open up to Hajime as much as she would with a girl. Space is about creation, physicality, location, and enjoying the moment. Her interest in photography satisfied all of those especially with how she views it; she captures pictures of people smiling to create a record of the current moment. She's very level headed and is good at seeing the whole ~picture~ (hehe). She's not a very active person but she's quick to give her opinion and advice if she thinks someone is on the wrong track.
Tsumiki Mikan- Bard of Rage
-passively destroys through negativity and limitations. Rage was easy for her; she's surrounded in negativity and it tends to annoy (and occasionally enrage) those around her. It provides a unique contrast with Nagito, as she subverts the usual motive for killing (hope of getting off the island) and kills only for despair. It is, of course, expected for a bard to flip their lid, but she also acts as a bard before remembering her prior life. She does destroy some of the limitations through the first two trials by providing autopsies when the Monokuma files didn't cut it, and she very clearly represses her own rage at her abusers nearly 24/7. I think it's also worth mentioning that on a fictional level, rage and hope both are often associated with a sort of hand-wavey deus ex machina bullshit which I'd say applies to her ability to retrieve the memories of her past life due to the despair disease, even though it didn't work that way for anyone else.
Nidai Nekomaru- Heir of Mind
-passively changes actions and logic. The English translation of his ability is "team manager", but when he explains his skill, he doesn't focus on teams, he focuses on the athlete themself, so "coach" or "trainer" would be more apt I think. And a trainer is focused on changing your actions, getting you to perform better and better. Despite his loud and boisterous personality, he tends to be pretty level headed. He's able to clearly ascertain what each individual athlete needs to improve and create an orderly regiment for them. It took me a while to decide on heir, but it fits better than any other class I feel, as he does inherit the title from Daisuke, a team manager he shared time in the hospital with who later died, and his personality is similar to the other heirs we know in Homestuck.
Ultimate Imposter- Maid of Void
-actively creates nothingness and secrets. I was originally gonna go with heart because of identity issues, but after reading their wiki because I didn't want to rewatch the anime, most of their issues stem from feeling like they don't exist, feeling like nothing, which is spot on for void. Not to mention they need to keep their secret while impersonating someone, and they have to basically create secrets whenever people ask them personal information about whoever they're portraying at the time. They are made of nothingness, with no name, no background, and they create more of it when providing falsities to their classmates. Even without the pun of "made" and "maid", they're a very kind and helpful person no matter who they're posing as.

Aight, so this is a very long Komahina Oneshot.
I'm gunna milk the freak out of the popular shiet!
Anyways couple of warnings before we start.
This oneshot is not happy. It contains:
Character Death
Swearing
Illness
Mentions and attempts of suicide
If any of this stuff upsets you then skip this chapter. I'll be making happier stuff in the future.
Bittersweet Ending
"Hey Komaeda! Wanna visit Hajime and Nekomaru with me?"
That was the first thing Nagito heard after leaving his house. Akane was at his door and seeming pretty anxious.
"Oh..uhh sure. I wanted to talk to Hajime, I guess I just never had the time,"
It was still strange to see Akane being nice to him. He always expected something bad to happen to him around her but, lately she's been pretty docile. Though, she still doesn't want to call him by his first name regardless of how many times Nagito has said that it's fine. Nagito quickly got ready and left his tiny cottage with the girl.
...
The walk was long. Nagito offend wondered why Nekomaru and Hajime were put so far away from the rest of the group. Some actually moved closer to them so they wouldn't have to take such a long walk but, not Nagito. He was just...too busy. His mind started to wander as he walked. Where did his story start? Maybe when he woke up.
When he first woke, he couldn't believe it. He was back in reality. A hand reaching out to him snapped his attention right back to reality. He sensed so much hope radiating from the person reaching out that he confused him with the Ultimate Hope, Izuru Kamukura and while, the person was the Ultimate Hope, it wasn't Izuru. Hajime Hinata was his name. His warm smile finally pulled Nagito out of the lull he was in. So he stood up, ready to take on a new world.
...
Two months had past, the fifteen students were able to move to the original Jabberwock Island and live there in peace. Of course, occasionally, the Future Foundation would ask for assistance from Hajime but, other than that, it was quite peaceful. So peaceful, in fact, that Makoto Naegi decided to slightly dampen the mood of the island by building a graveyard for all the student of Hope Peak that got killed in the Tragedy. Each set of areas were separated by class and for everyone that died, they would build a ginormous, well more like life size, statue of the person.
That ended up pissing a lot of people off for obvious reasons, since there was only one death from class 77. Chiaki Nanami, she would stand alone in a sea of statues that threatened to drown her in the meaningless names and monotonous stone gray.
Hajime also brought up a pretty good point.
"Makoto, this is our home. If you put every class, every Ultimate, all 78 of them here, our island would become a travelers island,"
"We'll make sure to moderate that but, this just the best area we can put these and respect our dead, plus this is probably going to be where we bury you guys and I would thing you would want to be near friends,"
No one had much of an argument. Hajime sighed and agreed to the plans on the condition that Makoto keeps visitors to a minimum and never does overnight stays. Makoto agreed and it was settled. They decided the graveyard would take up the entire fifth island to keep it as far away as possible. After all, the group didn't need a constant reminder that not everyone got out. Nagito didn't need a constant reminder that he got the last bit of her killed for his idiotic plan and now she'll never come back.
Never.
...
More months past and life was normal...well, their version of normal, at least. Through out these months, he and Hajime have gotten closer than ever. Hajime seems to be the only one who cares, Nagito likes it when they hangout...he always does this. He always gets attached despite it never ending well. He did it with his dog;the dog got ran over, his parents; they died in a plane freak accident, Chiaki...yeah... He knows he always gets attached to the ones who will die and yet, he still gets attached.
...
He caught something...Oh not Hajime, Nagito. Nagito got sick, really sick. He could barely move out of bed. People kept visiting him, Mikan kept checking up on him and Hajime, unlike with the Liar Disease, actually stayed. By the end of the week, the group had given him flowers that he couldn't take care of (Mahiru did so instead), and all sorts of candies that he didn't have the appetite for, even Hiyoko gave him her favorite brand of gummy bears. Throughout the few weeks, he fluctuated between good days and bad days.
On one of his good days, he was hanging out with Hajime. He insisted that they hang out somewhere other than the house. Hajime furiously declined saying that Nagito need to rest and, as per usual, he was right but Nagito just didn't want to sit in bed any longer.
"Fine, I'll just go somewhere by myself" Nagito said in a huff. Hajime's face changed from a "what the actual hell??" Look to a defeated one. Nagito knew Hajime would never leave Nagito alone while sick on this island so, Hajime agreed.
Nagito decided that they were going to the cemetery that finished it's construction very recently. Hajime didn't put up a fight and they both headed there. Once they arrived, they had to walk through class after class to find the class they were looking for. Nagito started to feel his "good" day going bad but, tried his best to keep a strong face. They finally made it to the class 77 area and there she stood, alone. Stone eyes staring down at her Nintendo DC. Nagito briefly wondered what game she would be playing to be so intensely staring down at the game without looking up before he remembered that this was a statue.
"So, why here of all places? Did you want to mourn Chiaki?" Hajime asked, blunt and to the point as always. So Nagito answered with all equally blunt question.
"When I die, do you think they'll put my statue next to hers?"
Hajime seemed caught off-guard, he didn't seemed to know what to say next.
"Umm, supposedly? It would probably be in death order. Y'know, like who dies first?"
"Exactly, when I die, which should be soon-" Nagito couldn't hold back the sickness anymore and doubled over coughing. This, of course, panicked Hajime as he tried to help as much as he could. When the coughing died down and Nagito could breathe again, he commented; "See? I told you tha-"
Hajime cut him off, "You're being delusional. You're not going to die, Nagito"
"You don't know that and I'm not getting healthier"
"It's a cold.."
Now, Nagito was the one to interrupt, "Colds don't last weeks Hajime"
"It's a fuckin' bug" Hajime cursed
"Now look who's being delusional, it's my sickness. It's finally coming to tak-"
"Enough with the with the fucking death talk! You're not gunna die Nagito!" His voice was louder but, he didn't sound as certain. "You're...not.." his voice was shaking, pleading for Nagito to stop. Of course Nagito had to take it so far. He always takes it too far and ends up in these kinds of situations.
"...Sorry"
"Let's...get you home, you're not feeling well"
...
Turns out, Hajime was right, it was just a cold but with his immunodeficiencies, it made it much harder to fight off. With the right medicine and another four days, Nagito started to improve. People were still cautious, now that every had seen how a common cold could affect him, they were more hesitant to let him do the common housework that he used to do on the regular. They all collectively decided thatNagito would take regular check ups to keep his health in check. He agreed to keep them all from panicking too much. Hajime insisted that Nagito does a blood test and a brain scan.
"Just in case of something serious.."
Why? Hajime should be the last person to say that. He is the only person that knows about Nagito's condition...was it to let everyone else know? He gave Nagito a look, a look that was hard to decipher. It almost seemed like Hajime knew something that Nagito didn't.
...
.........
....What?
This is....
That's impossible...
Maybe the tests were flawed? Maybe there was a mix up....
Nope, these are his results but, that's impossible.
These tests say he's anemic.
Just anemic. Not any of the other illnesses he was diagnosed with as a teen. Vitamin Deficiency Anemia. A chronic but usually treatable condition. The worst part? It matches up with how Nagito has been feeling since he got the disease. The pale skin, the weight loss, the inability to fight of the smallest of colds without weeks of treatment. It all lines up. This is...some really good luck. Life saving good luck...that means, the next surge of bad luck might be...Life ending. No..NO! Nagito refuses to lose anyone else and certainly not because of his luck!
...
"That's amazing, Nagito!" Hajime said.
Hajime was the only person Nagito could go to about this. He knew so much already, it made it easier to tell him more...and yet, now Nagito felt guilty. His relationship with Hajime got slightly strained with the graveyard talk and now Hajime has seemed to almost completely forget that. He even seems happy, genuinely happy. Did Nagito really want to ruin that? ...He had to.
"Uhm, yeah but, this surge of good luck is sure to come with harsh repercussion," Nagito said nervously.
Silence...
"Nagito...please, just this once. Can you just be happy when something good happens to you?" Hajime's voice was a mixture of annoyed and worried.
"Not when this could kill someone. Sorry," Nagito might have to reconsider if telling Hajime things is a good idea anymore...
"...Okay, how about this? If we tell everyone to watch out for something bad and keep on their toes, will you at least try to enjoy yourself?"
That didn't feel good enough but, there wasn't much Nagito could do. "Fine"
...
A couple weeks had passed by. Nagito became more and more restless with everyday that nothing happened. Recently, the Future Foundation called some of them to a small mission on the main land. To gather intel on a rebel group that still stands by the complete extermination of Ultimates. Nekomaru, Nagito, Hajime, Mikan and surprisingly Hiyoko were tasked with this. Throughout that time, Nagito tried his best to trigger his bad luck. Walking through the most dangerous parts of town everyday to see if something would happen...Nothing did. He tried everything to cause any form of bad luck to ease his mind, from dangerously unstable platforms to rebel infested areas. Nothing happened. Nothing but Nagito constantly worrying his group.
"Nagito, you can just come with us. You know that right?" Hajime mentioned, worrying flashing in his heterochromatic eyes. Nagito liked to stare into them but, now is not the time.
"Oh, I would never dream of disturbing the presence of you with mine."
Hajime started to look pissed off.
"Listen Nagito, is you are still worried about your bad luck...I understand but, you can't force it to activate. Just let the inevitable happen."
Okay, now Nagito's pissed off. Let the inevitable happen? Does Hajime not care that the 'inevitable' could be death?
"You're acting too casual about all of this. This is something big and you're acting like it's nothing. Do you not care? Not care that someone on our island could die? After all we've been through?"
"Of course I care but, what am I supposed to do? Let you get yourself killed? If you have forgotten, you are also someone on our island. I can't just allow you to die! I have to at least try to save everyone as I always have!"
"....I'm not that important, I caused a good portion of this. It's not like anyone would truly care too much if I was gone. It's fine to let a nobody like me die," Nagito said. Did he mean it? Maybe but, he didn't want to be the cause of anymore pain or death...
Hajime was steaming, he looked like he might actually hit something in anger but instead, he grabbed Nagito's shoulders and pushed him up against a wall. Now, Nagito couldn't ignore him. Couldn't try to push his concerns aside.
"I care dammit! Can't you see that?"
Nagito's heart raced. His face was so close to Hajime's. He felt like something bad was bound to happen with them so close. A part of him, really wanted to just lean in and kiss Hajime while he had the chance. The part that wanted to possible keep some form of a friendship with Hajime, however, knew not to.
"If I didn't, I wouldn't have spent days getting you out of that coma. If none of us cared, we wouldn't have spent time, energy and money to help you get better and to give you gifts while you were ill. We all care about you. So please...don't...don't leave me like Chiaki did.." Hajime plead, desperately. He seemed near tears, tightening his grip on Nagito. It's rare to ever see Hajime so scared. It hurt Nagito, since he couldn't honestly promise that. At that moment, he truly did wished he stayed in that coma or..no..further than that, he just wished he was never lucky to begin with. His luck caused so many people pain, include the man that's now pleading for Nagito to live in front of him. Despite Hajime's pleading, Nagito knew what he had to do to make this awful cycle stop.
"I...I promise," Nagito lied, "I'm sorry"
Hajime's grip loosened then he hugged Nagito.
"Thank you..." Hajime's voice was shaky but, genuine. Nagito couldn't say anything to that.
...
It's time. Nagito made sure to spend time with everyone he could. It was the end of the investigation and nearly time for everyone to go home...Nagito wasn't going to make it home. On one of his investigations, he found a very tall skyscraper. The tallest one with the exception of Hope's Peak. He wasn't going to jump from there, not when Makoto is trying his hardest to repair the place.
He stood on the roof of this broken building. The railings that once stood there, probably to prevent what Nagito was about to do, rusted and withered away. He stood at the edge, looking on at the city that he helped destroy.
He was about to step off when he heard someone.
"Nagito?"
Of course, of all people, it had to be him. Nagito turned around to see none other than Hajime standing at the doorway next to Nagito's shoes that he removed to confirm that this wasn't a murder. Nagito turned back to the city. He felt no reason to hide it anymore and repeated a question he asked a long time ago.
"Do you think, when I die, they'll put my statue near her's?"
Hajime answered the same too.
"That depends on who dies first in the group. They'll probably organize it in death order..."
Nagito said nothing. He knew that if that's the case then, he would be right next to her.
"You really aren't going to turn back, are you? You are that afraid of your talent that this is what you think you have to choose?"
Still nothing.
"Can you at least give me an answer?"
Nagito couldn't. He was so focused at looking on at the city, he didn't realize that Hajime had made it next him.
"Just turn back, go on without me," Nagito turned to Hajime and smiled, "You'll forget me eventually,"
Hajime said nothing but eventually turned away and started walking back. Nagito was a little surprised but was also glad that Hajime understood. He went back to looking at the city.
"If I can't convince you. I guess..." Nagito heard Hajime walking back and felt his hug. Nagito turned to face Hajime and maybe question something, before he could say anything, Hajime continued,
"I can at least make sure you don't die alone."
Hajime pushed himself forward off the edge, taking Nagito with him.
Now, they were falling. Falling fast. It didn't feel fast though. It felt like the world slowed down, everything was noisy but, silent. Nagito couldn't believe it. It was really happening. That's when Nagito started to question the things he should have thought about before choosing this way of ending it. What if he didn't die on impact? Would it hurt? Would it burn? Would he just feel numb? How long can you even last after a fall like that? But, those questions are useless to ask now...
He wanted to tell Hajime how he felt. He knew he was going to die so, it wouldn't matter. He might as well. Plus, Hajime would probably not hear him over the pressure threatening to burst their eardrums in its might.
He screamed to the top of his lungs the words he wanted to say since the Neo World Program.
"I Love You, Hajime!"
He didn't expect much. He didn't any response. So he certainly didn't expect what was said next.
"I Love You Too!"
Hajime...loved him? He didn't expect that at all. This, somehow, made Nagito feel better and worse at the same time. He hugged Hajime tighter, they should be close to the ground soon so, Nagito can die without much regret.
"And I told you," Hajime continued, "I'm going to try and save everyone. Including you."
Immediately after that, Nagito felt shift in positions. Now, it was Hajime under Nagito. Nagito realized what Hajime was going to do. He was going to take to brunt of the landing on the chance that Nagito would live. If Nagito was lucky, he could live.
And, of course,
Nagito was lucky.
...
"We're here! Finally!" Akane's voice snapped Nagito back into reality.
"Y-yeah, that walk took a-a lot out of me..." Mikan followed. Wait, when did Mikan get here? She must have joined their walk while Nagito was spaced out.
"A-are you o-okay Nagito-san? You s-seem spaced out.."
Oh right, he probably seems very out of it on their walk, he should say something.
"Yes, I'm okay, I was just...thinking."
He looked up at the cemetery entrance and prepared himself when he entered.
75...76...77. Class 77...
All the way to the left is Chiaki Nanami, the first to go. She was the hope of Class 77 and thus Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Despair, had her executed. She was a kind girl that did her best to help and protect everyone she could. She will always be remembered. Her plaque says:
"I'm going to get out with all of my friends"
To the right is Nekomaru Nidai. He was a victim of trial four. But he made it out of that world alive. How did he die then? He, unfortunately, had a life-threatening illness and ,unlike Nagito; it wasn't a misdiagnosis. His illness took his life about three weeks ago. His plaque says:
"Keep fighting, the only way to success is to try"
And in the middle, despite the fact that he was not a part of class 77, everyone insisted that he'd be put there. He was family to them all.
Hajime Hinata.
He was the person who saved the class multiple times and never gave up hope. He fought for everyone and, in the end, he died to keep his message. His plaque says.
"I'm going to save everyone, that includes you"
Nagito looks at Akane who was standing there crying but silent. Akane has always had trouble expressing negative emotions so this is a start.
He then looks at Mikan, who was on her knees sobbing at Chiaki's grave. She wholeheartedly blames herself for Chiaki's death, we're trying to convince her that it's not her fault. Maybe one day they can convince her. Then he looks at Hajime. He just stares. It, at first seemed like appropriate weather for this occasion. Rain. Until Nagito realized that sky, though dark, is clear. He wiped his eyes to find that the 'rain' was really tears. He was crying and yet, he wasn't broken. He was sad but, felt weirdly happy.
"Inevitable, huh? At least, I'm glad I got to know you before the inevitable." Nagito said, out loud. "This is such a bittersweet ending."
Allll right! This is finally done. I am literally about to cry. This is the saddest thing I've ever written. 😭 The next chapter is gunna be a lot happier.
Thanks for reading.
