Hi there, Thank you for sharing your work. Your art is simply divine. Love your style. Your wallpapers are so adorable, I love them! Do you sell them individually? Am I able to purchase one if I want to print onto fabric and turn it into a dress or a skirt?
Right now I only offer them via Patreon and for Wallpaper purpose only (only because the quality of the image is adapted in that purpose only) But when I get my stuff together I'm planing on opening an etsy store, and I might add it as an option.

DELUSIONAL - PART 15
*not my GIF*
Tumblr media
Hands around her throat. The knife in her back. The chains. The baby. The pain. She was back there. Kevin's dead body on the concrete floor. She turns in relief at the sound of the door opening but panic quickly bubbles in her chest when it's Alex that makes his way through the door instead of the club. "You think this is over? You think I'm finished with you?" He laughs sarcasticly before lunging towards her an even bigger knife in hand. It was that moment Delaney screamed herself awake.
Breathing heavily she tried to calm herself down as tears flew heavily down her cheeks. "Baby?" Jax called as he entered the room. Confusion settled on delaney's face as her eyes fell on a fully dressed Jax. Glancing at the clock she saw it was 7am and groaned. "I'm ok." Jax pulled her into his arms anyway. "I've just got back from the clubhouse. Sorry i didn't want to wake you." Rubbing her eyes she looked up at him in worry. "Is everyone ok?" Jax smiled at her. "We're whole. The gun warehouse burned down. Gonna have feds up our arses over this." Sighing she kissed his cheek. "Mayans?" Jax nodded. "Your gonna have to be careful about retaliation. Think smart." Jax kissed her knuckles and smiled at her sleepy expression. He loved how open he could be with her about club stuff. No judgement. He would never be able to lay this stuff on another woman. Delaney was so supportive. So strong. The sound of delaney's ringtone interrupted the peaceful quiet. " Hello?" Delaney answered still laying against Jax. "Do not tell me your still in bed?" Gemmas voice loudly came through the phone. "I have a list as long as my arm to do today! Luann is stressing over this stupid porn party tonight! She's rung me 3 times already screaming over a bloody broken stripper pole and outfits for the girls! I have to run to the store, help luann set up and I haven't even started on the food!" Delaney rolled her eyes. "Jesus ok Gem I'll meet you at the studio. You go shopping and plan the food. I'll do the rest." Without hesitating Gemma hung up and Delaney threw herself backwards on the bed. Sighing loudly she flung her hands over her eyes. " Great. Just what I fucking need. A day in the studio surrounded by porn bitches and Miss Ima Tite." Jax leaned over her and pulled her hands away from her face. "Don't let her get to you." Delaney widened her eyes dramatically. "Oh silly me! That's it! It's that easy!" Jax shook his head as Delaney giggled. Grabbing his Kutte she pulled him down and placed a gentle kiss to his lips. "As long as they don't get to you I don't care." Jax shook his head. "I love you." Delaney smiled as a warm feeling filled her chest. "I love you." Delaney leaned up and captured his lips once more. Her hands wandering up underneath his navy hoodie and scratching gently at his back as he kissed down her neck. Undoing his belt Delaney used her feet to push his jeans further down his legs. Their kisses became more heated, their breaths falling heavy at the excitement of eachother. Throwing her legs over his shoulders and leaning down to cage her inbetween his arms Jax couldn't resist smiling at her. Her flushed red cheeks and beautiful brown eyes filled with love and lust that was only for him. He felt like the luckiest man alive when she looked at him like that. Leaning down further her gently placed a kiss on her lips, silencing a moan. God he loved that sound. Fuck he loved everything about her. "Marry me.." Delaney's eyes widened as she tried to process the words that slipped out of his mouth. Jax's blue eyes stated deeply into hers as she moved her legs from his shoulders and leaned up on her elbows. Her eyebrows furrowed as she tried to form words. "What? You can't-.....You don't....ugh." Thankfully delaney's mobile rang putting an end to her stuttering. "Hi luann. Yes. Yes. Yes. Fuck sake luann Gemma already called me I'm getting ready now!" Delaney's eyes never left Jax's face as she spoke. Hanging up the call she reached for his hands and kissed his knuckles. "Look. You can't just spring that on a girl mid sex baby. We should talk about this later ok?" Jax sat next to her on the bed and nodded. That clearly didn't go how he thought it would. He didn't exactly plan it that way it just slipped out in the heat of the moment. "I love you" Delaney smiled giving Jax one last kiss before making her way into the bathroom to get ready.
A few hours later and Delaney had already had enough of luann and most of the Girls. All the whispering about her was beginning to be too much and she could feel her anger rising. Sighing loudly as she placed the drill on the floor and stood up. "Right Luann this is fixed. I'm gonna help Gem lay out the food." Luann nodded but before she could speak Little miss perfect just had to open her mouth. "I'm supposed to take her word for it? She doesn't know what shes doing! What if I hurt myself dancing on that thing?" Delaney smirked. "Wow Miss Double Penetration doesn't know how to work a stripper pole!! Bad News for your opening tonight Luann." Jax, Juice and Halfsack walked in just in time to see Ima get in Delaney's face. "Like you know what your doing! You've been with Jax 5 seconds and instantly think your all that! Looking at you know i can tell you for a facr he wont be interested for long. Your a fat boring bitch whose boyfriend used to beat you, get a new personality you frigid cow." Delaney's stomach turned fast as the anger she had been holding in boiled to the surface. Pulling her fist back quick, she landed a punch on Ima's face before anyone could stop her. Ima made a grab for her hair and Within seconds Ima went down, Delaney landing on top of her still throwing blows to her face. Blacking out with anger Delaney wasn't listening to what was happening around her. The sound of Luann's screams were dull. The pain in her hands that landed blow after blow on Ima's face didn't even sting. Ima's hands ripping her hair out didn't even faze her. She didn't even feel it.
The thing she did feel, the thing that snapped her out of it was Jax's as he lifted her off a bloody Ima. Luann took that as a que to start on delaney then. "Shes my best fucking girl! Do you know how much I make off of her!" Pushing Delaney behind his back, jax got between her and luann. "Control your fucking girls luann. She was asking for that! Has been for a long Goddamn time!" Delaney screamed at her over Jax's shoulder. Nevermind seeing red she was seeing fucking green, pink, purple and blue. She was furious. Luann pointed at jax. "You need to control your bitch Jax! Put her on a fucking leash." Gemma quickly made her way over to her friend as she watched Jax's face change instantly. 'WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TO?" Jax stepped forward towards luann. Delaney's eyes widened in shock. This was her fight not his. Fear crossed Luann's face instantly. 'I-im S-sorr-" She started to apologise but Jax cut her off completely. "Look you need to remember your place in this Goddamn family. Your an old lady of a well respected member and you clearly think that makes you important. My respect and love for Otto does not extent to you. We look out for you out of love for Otto. That girl..." Jax turned and pointed to a stunned Delaney. " Is my old lady. Old lady to your husbands VP. If you think I'm gonna sit around while you and your cheap whores disrespect her your fucking wrong. Correct it luann and quickly. I'd hate to have to pull rank and pay a visit to Otto. Let him know exactly what his old lady is up to while he's on the inside." Everyone including Gemma was stunned at Jax's outburst. Luann nodded tears welling in her eyes at the telling off she recieved. Tears welled in delaney's for a completely different reason. He defended her. He claimed her. He protected her. Jax wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulled her into him and lead her out of the unusually silent studio.
Luann turned to Gemma stunned. "Your not gonna say anything? You let him speak to me like that." Gemma rolled her eyes and grabbed her handbag from the floor. "What did you expect? You know how it goes luann. There's a hierarchy and Delaney will eventually be at the top of it." Before luann could say anything else Gemma strutted away.
"Somebody pick the whore up from the floor please. You wouldn't believe how bad blood stains."

you are the reason. (pt 2) | im changkyun
Tumblr media
genre : fluff
wc | 3k+
a/n : this was requested a while back when I wrote the first part but I've never got around to it. I originally wasn't going to make a part two but this is one of my favorite pieces I've written and I reread it all the time because it brings me a lot of comfort. I hope it makes you heart full and warm so here's part two! ♡. part one here! As always;; sorry for any typos.
{1:26pm} "Hey, can I come in?" Changkyun said. Knocking lightly on the door as opening it a little.
"What? No no no! It's bad luck!" she yelled. Pushing the door closed. He laughter filled the air from the other side of the door.
"I see you everyday babe. What makes today different?" he asked. He was only joking, she can tell because she knew him like the back of her hand. The smile evident in his voice.
"Today is extra special. You know this" she said, resting her head against the door. "What do you want kyun?"
"I wanted to give you something but it's too late now. I'll get going" Changkyun said, lowering his voice, as she unlocked the door and stuck her hand out.
"Give it" she said, smiling to herself as his hand held her, squeezed it gently before placing a small box in her palm.
"Open it while I'm here please" he asked.
"Okay." She said softly; leaving the door cracked so she can talk to him. He sat outside the door on the other side as she mimicked his actions.
"Well?" Changkyun asked nervously.
"Babe...." she said, as she opened the box. A small heart necklace with their initials and the date engraved onto it.
"I know it's nothing special but can you wear it when you walk out? I would show you but I have a similar one on. I got two one for you and one for me" he said, his voice was warm. It was different. He wasn't the type of guy to get flustered or nervous but today was different.
"Who knew you were a matching necklace type of guy?" she said laughing, as she placed the necklace around her neck.
"There's still a lot of things you haven't discovered about me yet babe" Changkyun said with a cocky tone.
"Oh I bet." she said, admiring the charm on the on her neck. "I can't wait to spend forever learning them" she added soon after. Nerves filling her body as she leaned against the door, head resting against it softly.
"Are you nervous?" he asked.
"A little" she answered truthfully.
"Me too" Chankyun said, in a small whisper.
"The Im Changkyun. The man who is ready to curse any guy who looks my direction out is nervous?" she asked, trying to calm their nerves.
"Hey! You're mine to look at not theirs! I have my reasons. Just like when you kicked that one girl out of my studio and then sedu-" he said, arguing back playful before she cut him off.
"I GET IT!" she said, laughing. The sould like music to his ears. The guest outside the venue filling the yard with laughter and music as they filtered in and got seated.
"I should get going angel" Changkyun said. His voice low but the smile still on his face.
"I love when you call me angel, you know" she said, smiling to herself.
"Just wait till you hear my vows" he said, as she heard him get up.
"I love you" she said to him through the door.
"I love you" he responded as he stick his hand through the crack of the door. She reached up and kissed his palm before he pulled away.
"See you out there" Changkyun said, walking away and making obnoxious kiss noises as he walked down the hall.

Changkyun's P.O.V
There she stood in front of me. Her hair in a bun and a small silver crown on her head. The cherry blossoms falling off the tree making the moment that much more breathtaking. She's always been beautiful to me. I didn't think she could get more beautiful but as she stood in front of me I second guessed it.
"You look beautiful" I said to my girl. The nerves making my palms sweaty as she smiled at me and mouthed a 'thank you'.
"Shh" she said, laughing slightly as she winked at me. Her hand softly playing with the charm I had given her earlier signaling she was nervous like me.
"If we may start the ceremony now" the priest said, smiling between the two of us. The yard filled with guests but it felt like it was only her and I in this moment.
"Sir, you may say your vows" he motioned towards me as I pulled a paper out of my pocket. I laughed nervously as I fumbled to open the paper. My hands shaking slightly as I held it open in my hands.
"To my love" I say, clearing my throat so my words are clearer. "My soulmate even. The person I am more than ready to spend the rest of my life with. Today's the beginning of the next chapter. Our chapter. All our chapters have been intertwined leading up to today but now it's finally our chapter. I don't know what these chapters have in store for us but I promise to stay by your side through it all. The ups. The downs. The bad. The good. I will be there. Just like you've been there all these years. You know me better than I know me and I never thought I'd find someone who's knock the air out of me until I met you. I look forward to you asking me what's wrong before I know what's wrong with me." I say, choking on my words and take a deep breath.
"Don't cry. If you cry I'll cry and we both know that won't be good" she whispered to me, causing me to laugh.
"I look forward to our 3am drives. Your midnight concerts in our kitchen. The endless stories about your days. Waking up to you and going to sleep next to you. I look forward to our forever. I love you." I finished off. Closing the paper and rubbing my sweaty palms on my suit.
Tumblr media
Her P.O.V:
"Ma'am, your vows please" the priest says to me.
"Well... I don't have a piece of paper or a tear jerker of a speech planned. You know me better than I know myself and took the words right out of my mouth" I say and the guests laugh at my nervousness.
"Im Changkyun. The guy I would give the world too if I could. You have the purest heart of any person I've ever come across in all my years of life. You love me at my lowest and praise me at my highest. I whom belongs only to you, look forward to our next chapter. I look forward to kissing you goodmorning and cuddling you goodnight. For the many shared moments ahead of us. I can't wait to share every midnight with you from today forward. Thank you for loving me unconditionally up until know and for wanting to love me for even longer. To my best friend, my soulmate, the guy who taught me how to love and what it's like to be loved. I love you, let's plan forever together." I say, tears falling down my cheek.
Changkyun hands reached over wiping the tears off my cheeks as he smiles at me. His eyes watery as I take a deep breath and we hold hands.
"I love you" he mouthed at me as I returned the saying.
Tumblr media
"Do you take the beautiful lady before you to be your wife?" the priest asks to Changkyun.
"I do" he says, placing a beautiful purple diamond on her left hand.
"Ma'am, do you take Im Changkyun, to be your husband?" the priest asks her as she looked up at Changkyun.
"I do" she says, placing the wedding band engraved with the day in purple on his left hand.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" the priest says, smiling fondly between the two.
The crowd caps and cheers as their lips met. The kiss lasting long as his hand reached the back of her head as he kissed her. Once he pulled away she adjusted his bow tie on his neck as he kissed her nose softly. The air filled with claps and cheers from family and friends as they walk down the isle. Flower petals filling the air as they waved at the guests.
"So our chapter begins" he says to his beautiful bride. Her eyes twinkling as she looked at him and smiled.
"So it begins" she said, as they push the door open to the venue and disappear inside before the reception starts.

word count: 1.6k
genre + warnings: fluff; timeskip!kuroo, streamer!kenma, baby kuroo (like his kid not him), the word poggers is used
pronouns used: she/her
a/n: for reading purposes, oji (叔父上) is uncle and oba (叔母様) is aunt, doraemon is that bluecat thing with no ears ,, next imagine is gender neutral pronouns
"You should let Y/n play a round," Kenma reads off the chat. "I would but she has to go to the store."
"Either way I can't when I get back, I have to babysit," You say standing up from your chair beside Kenma. "I'll see you later bub." You peck his cheek before putting your rolling chair off to the side and leaving the room.
You had decided to go out to get some groceries before Kuroo came by with his daughter, Tomiko, for you to babysit. His wife had gone on a business trip and he had an important meeting to attend. You agreed since you and Kenma mainly work from home.
About ten minutes later, you pull into the parking lot of your local grocery store and get a phone call from Kuroo. "Hello?" You ask.
"Hey, I know I said four but apparently the meeting is being pushed up two hours. Can I drop off Miko right now?" Kuroo rushed.
"Oh, I'm not home, Kenma is. Just drop her off, he's streaming but it should be fine. I just got to the store," You say. "If you need it, the spare key is in the lamp above the door."
"Thank you so much Y/n, I owe you again!" He says before ending the call. Kuroo turns to his babbling daughter and swoops her up. "Come on babe, you're going to Oji's."
Kuroo gets all of her stuff ready before heading out. He texts Kenma that he's coming over but to his luck, no response. Kenma was too absorbed in his match of Valorant to reply to his best friend. Once at the front door, he knocks but again, no response. Kuroo reaches up to get the key and unlock the door himself.
Tomiko began to babble louder as she recognized the living room. Kuroo kicks off his shoes and walks over to the streaming room. "Come in!" Kenma called after his best friend knocks. He turns to see him and Tomiko and tilts his head. "I thought you weren't coming until later?"
"I texted you and I think Y/n texted you too," Kuroo points out. Kenma quickly checks his phone and looks back up at chat. "She said it was fine to leave Miko with you."
"Hah?" Kenma turns back to him. "I'm playing solo queue and I just started stream."
"Miko can sit on your lap and watch. She does that with me at least," Kuroo strides over, placing his daughter on Kenma's lap. "I will see you later, and Kenma don't forget my baby is in your lap."
Kuroo quickly exits before turning to camera. Tomiko reaches at his desk but Kenma moves his keyboard, controller and mouse forward to avoid any accidents. "Uhm...Tomiko meet chat," Kenma awkwardly holds up his niece to the camera and a spam of heart eyes flood the chat.
He was never one for taking care of kids or at least fond of it. When Tomiko was born, he obviously knew he had to watch her at one point but every time he did, you were there to help him. The entire topic of kids always been pushed back ever since you two got married. You were the one with baby fever while he didn't necessarily want to have a kid just yet.
Kenma sets her back down on his lap and notices her reaching for something on his desk. "Oh, did you want that?" He asks, pointing at the small cat plush on his desk. Tomiko's only response, because she's barely one, was to smack the table. Kenma reaches over, handing the toy to her. "Y/n got that for me, but you can play with it as long as you don't- drool on it." He finishes his sentence as Tomiko nibbled at its ear.
"Tomiko is so cute!"
"Awww! You and Y/n should have a kid!"
"Tomiko eating the cat is pog lol."
Many more comments flood in as Kenma admires the baby on his lap. He snaps out of his staring and looks back at the Valorant lobby. He switches to just his camera overlay and changes the title of the stream from "solo queue is poggers" to "idk yet i have a baby with me."
"I can't really play Val with you on me Miko," He turns to chat to see any suggestions. "Draw things with her on a paint studio? Maybe...Let her watch you play Minecraft...I like the drawing suggestion." Kenma replies to the comments. He carries Tomiko to the other side of room to get his drawing pad. He realizes his issue with moving the drawing pad and places Tomiko on his couch.
Tomiko doesn't move an inch as she watches her uncle move his big drawing pad. "Baba," She calls out. "Wan Baba." Kenma immediately knew that meant she wanted you.
"Sorry Miko, Oba isn't here right now," He says placing down the drawing pad. After hearing his words, Tomiko began to whine at him. "Oh no, no, no, don't cry." Within an instant, Tomiko began to cry, slapping her hands on the couch. Kenma goes to carry her but she smacks his shoulder in protests.
"Baba! Wan Baba!" She cries. Kenma seats himself, only to see sympathetic comments.
"Miko look, look," He attempts to show her the plush she was previously chewing. She swats the toy away, still wailing to see you. "Uhm...I don't know what to do, Y/n usually takes care of her."
Tomiko continues to cry, smack, and scream for you to come get her, leaving Kenma lost in how you always kept her from crying. He looks around for something to help and spots his headphones. A thought comes to mind and he quickly types in his search bar on his computer. Soon after, the opening to Doraemon starts to play.
Her crying ceases as she looks on the screen to see her favorite blue cat. "Is that better?" He asks. "How about...we draw him?"
Tomiko watches as Kenma lowers the music down and opens his drawing software. She began to calm down yet her breath was still stuttering. Kenma sketches out Doraemon and Tomiko began to smile slightly. "Do you want to color it?" He points to the drawing pad. He switches it to touch screen mode as she reaches to touch it. "What color do you want?"
"Boo," She says. Kenma switches the color to blue before Tomiko starts scribbling on Kenma's drawing. Tomiko's sniffles slightly as he wipes off her tears with his sleeves.
"She's better now, yeah I'm glad she is," Kenma responds to his chat. "Miko, what else do you like to do...Nevermind you can't talk and I'm dumb."
"Jellwy?" She asks.
"Jelly?" Kenma tilts his head at her. "What do you mean by jelly?"
"Jelly cups maybe?"
"Jell-o?"
"What if she's saying a video game with jelly?"
"Jellwy," Tomiko looks away from the screen to look at Kenma. "Jellwy fly!"
"Jelly fly?" Kenma stares at her intensely. "What jelly flies? Do you mean like slime rancher?" Kenma exits out the drawing software, changing the title of the stream beforehand, and opens the opens Slime Rancher.
Tomiko's eyes light up and a smile grows on her face. She giggles cheerfully as Kenma began to play one of his old saves. More comments roll in as Tomiko's adorable noises captures the viewer's hearts. Kenma smiles as she is finally happy in his lap and not crying out for someone else.
About twenty minutes into the game, you arrive home to find the two still streaming. "Hi bub," You peek in. Tomiko sat up at the sound of your voice. She shifts around in Kenma's lap to look over his shoulder. "And hi Miko! Were you playing with Oji?"
"Baba!" She cheered. You walked over, expecting her to reach out to you but she seats herself back onto Kenma. "Pay jellwies." She points to the screen.
"Oh Jiji's playing jellies?" You leaned down and kissed Kenma, also prompting Tomiko to push your face away from his. "Ok missy, how about, we let Jiji stream and we can go make dinner?"
"No! Wan jellwies!" She argued.
"She's fine here, I don't mind her. Chat loves her anyways," Kenma says. "Miko, do you want to show Oba your drawing?"
Tomiko smacks the table as an agreement and he switches monitors to show you the messily colored Doraemon. "Wow Miko, good job," You praised. "I especially like that Oji added ears to him."
"Oh, he doesn't have ears?" He asks. You nodded and placed your hand on his shoulder. "Anyways, let me know when dinner is done so I can end stream. Miko and I have important slime farming to do." You roll your eyes, pecking Tomiko and Kenma.
Right when you finish cooking dinner, Kuroo arrives to get Tomiko. Kenma explains his day to his best friend after ending his stream, leaving him to smother his daughter with kisses. "Do you want to hang out with Oji again?" He asks. Miko nods and holds out her hand for Kenma to high five. "Thank you again. I'll treat you to dinner when the Mrs's comes back."
You say your goodbyes and turn to Kenma who was setting the table. You go to the stove, plating everything when you felt a pair of arms around your waist. "I want a baby," Kenma muffled into your shoulder.
"You want a what?" You chuckled.
"Miko needs a cousin," He says. Kenma pulls away from your back and stood beside you. "Can we get a baby now?"
"Bubs, we can't just buy a baby," You laughed. "Tomiko gave you baby fever, huh?"
"Maybe," He says. "Also we can babysit Miko anytime Kuroo asks."

Flower Boy [ boxer!calum ]
flower boy series | pt.1 | word count: 5,659 | masterlist
Tumblr media
"Thank you so much! I'll have these to you as soon as possible. Goodbye!"
Talia grins, as she farewells the family whos portraits she had just finished shooting.
As much as she loves photography, there were only so many matching outfits and unhappy children a person could handle in a day, and with the family that had just left her studio, Talia had reached her limit.
Draining days were something she had gotten used to, business booming lately thanks to the kind words of a handful of past clients. With doors only opening just under a year ago, Valentine Studios didn't exactly have the longest history in town, but Talia liked to believe her dedication and skill made up for lack of experience.
Her mother hadn't really approved of the move, her ideals for her daughter being stuck a few decades in the past.
With the thought of her mother flashing through her mind, Talia couldn't help but sigh as she moved to pack up her camera for the night.
After the great disbandment of the Alisley family, it was nearly impossible for either of the Alisley children to communicate with their mother, but that didn't stop Yvonne from making her annual call to her kids, mostly about the percentage paid out to them every couple weeks from their father's estate royalties, which in Talia's case, was this morning.
From that point onward, it felt like the universe had decided to torment Talia today.
Starting off with the phone call, and most recently manifesting as a set of twins who refused to do any form of posing with their parents, Talia couldn't wait to go home and sleep so she could start the next day fresh and away from the negative vibes of the current day.
Once her backdrops had been rolled up,  and her camera was safely stored in its bag, Talia finally had time to let down her dark brown hair, the two bright streaks of red framing her face. She took great pleasure in turning all the lights off, and locking the door of the studio behind her.
Taking a second to relax in her car, Talia looks at her phone, scrolling through til she reaches the contact of her brother, Brandon.
The Alisley family were estranged from each other these days, but that didn't mean that Talia and Brandon had stopped being lifelong best friends.
The two had always been close, only a couple years between the siblings. Growing up in a world surrounded by adults until they themselves were well into their teens, they were practically a package deal until they had both moved into their own apartments a few years ago.
As of late, while Talia was diving head first into Valentine, Brandon was knee deep in The Vault, the gym he had started not long before Talia opened her own business.
Sitting in her car, Talia contemplated calling him for a moment, her finger hovering over the call button as she thought.
With both of them being so busy, they had barely had time to catch up over the last couple months, and after the day she had had today, Talia needed a bit of chill time with the only other person in the world who could understand her situation.
Their father always joked they could communicate telepathically, and after not seeing him for so long, Talia missed speaking her native tongue.
Deciding to make her way over to the gym, Brandon always telling her he was there any Friday night she would try to make plans with him lately, Talia constructed a plan for what she would do once she finally had convinced her brother to stop throwing himself into his work every Friday night.
With The Vault situated downtown, it was a bit of a drive in Los Angeles traffic, but with the thought of the Thai food just up the street from the gym in her mind, Talia couldn't find it in herself to care about the lengthy journey.
The radio softly played one of the many playlists made on Talia's phone as she drove along, windows down and the breeze lightly whipping her hair around as she did her best to relax while she had the chance.
While most people were finishing their work week, Talia, being the head photographer at Valentine, was still one day away from her own weekend, working every Saturday since the studio opened. This made it easier for families to get together for their shoots, not having to worry about getting back to work and getting the kids back to school, and Talia could tell her clients appreciated it, which made the extra day of work worth it to her.
Propping her head up, with her left elbow resting on the top of the door, Talia can't help the frown that flashes onto her face as she approaches the gym.
Expecting to see only Brandon's car and maybe another employee's, the full parking lot beside the building confuses her. How many people would be at a gym after hours?
The confused frown on Talia's face lingers as she parks her car next one she definitely recognised as Brandon's, climbing out and locking it before pocketing her keys and approaching a man who looked slightly familiar, noticing he was one of Brandon's employees as she got closer.
"Johnny," Talia smiles politely, the man turning to her with wide eyes as he recognizes her, "what's happening here?" She asks.
Johnny stutters for a moment, looking around like he rather be anywhere else in the world at this exact moment.
"Oh, here? Just some regulars here for a get together. Your brother left a few hours back though." He says quickly, tripping over his words slightly, almost like he was making a story up as he went along.
Suspicion courses through Talia at the deflective words of the man much taller than she is, and if she didn't already know him, she probably would have been intimidated by his size alone.
"I just parked next to his car though, and it's kinda odd for Brandon to leave the gym open." Talia laughs awkwardly, not trusting of the excuse she was being given when she knew her brother better than to leave not only his business open, but also his car unlocked outside it.
"I think I'll just check things out for myself thanks Johnny." Talia states, before taking a step forward towards the entrance.
Sensing her disbelief, and his face turning to one of panic, Johnny takes a step sideways, blocking the door from Talia's path.
"Brandon said that you were banned from Friday nights. I'm sorry Talia." He finally says, and Talia can't help the look of surprise that covers her face.
"Me? Banned from the Vault? I hardly think so mate." She laughs, taking advantage of the height difference between them to duck under Johnny's arm, easily pushing the door open into the gym.
Immediately, Talia is met with a wall of noise.
A crowd, some seated, some not, surround the central boxing ring at the center of the building. The usual smell of cleaning supplies and sweat is amplified by the stench of beer radiating through the whole building, but even then, the thing that grabs Talia's attention isn't the crowd or their behavior, but instead, what they're watching.
In the center of the ring, two large, well built men circle each other. Talia watches on in horror for only a moment before one man launches his fist forward towards the others stomach, and it's in this moment she realizes that the men aren't wearing gloves, but thin bloodied wraps.
The crowd roar with a wave of life as the punch connects, the second man doubling over and leaving himself exposed to an onslaught the first delivers without hesitation.
Even with the presence of Johnny behind her, the only thing Talia can see is the pure violence playing out in front of her, realization growing by the second as her eyes finally break away from the ring to where her brother stands at the back of the crowd.
She can't help but think her father might have been right about the telepathy, because almost as if he could sense her eyes on him, Brandon's own find her.
All of the colour drains from Brandon's face as he excuses himself from the black haired man he's talking to, running around the outside of the crowd to reach his sister, who stands frozen in place.
He says nothing as he grabs Talia's hand, pulling her sideways into the office room to the right of the building, easily tugging her past the back of the crowd that still stare focused into the ring.
The clinical white lights above them come to life as Brandon flicks the switch beside the door, shutting it behind him quickly before he turns back to Talia.
"What are you doing here?" He asks quickly, inspecting her as if she was a wounded animal ready to pounce.
Fighting her disbelief at the situation and his question, Talia's eyes go wide as a wave of anger washes over her at his question.
"What am I doing here? What the fuck is that shit, Brandon?!" She throws back at him, her voice louder and stronger than she expected it to come out of her.
Waving his hands panicked, trying to get her to lower her voice, Brandon tries to shush her, which only makes her more ticked off.
"Look you weren't supposed to see that-"
"Answer my fucking question or I'll start screamin' it." She threatens, cutting him off mid sentence.
An angry and frustrated expression settles on his face as Brandon let's out a huff, not knowing how to word his explanation and remaining silent while he tries to find the right words.
"Is this why you've been blowing me off for months? You got some fucking fight club bullshit going on here instead?" She questions further, her voice breaking slightly with stress.
"I can't tell you all the fucking details in one breath, Talia. I wasn't exactly expecting you to find out like this."
Brandon argues, throwing his hand up in annoyance, which only confuses her more.
"What makes you think you have the right to be angry at me when you're the one that has the explaining to do?"
"Fuck! Alright! I get it!" He whisper yells harshly, face twisting in anger and making the siblings look even more alike than usual, Talia taking a step back at his sudden outburst, "look, the money is gonna get cut off one day, I'm thinking about my future, OUR futures here. That's what this shit is about."
"And what exactly is this shit, Brandon?" Talia asks, aggressively pointing towards the door that barely separated them from the crowd.
"It's boxing. Same shit you see on TV, just, not as commercial."
"This isn't the same shit as on TV! Those guys aren't even wearing gloves!" She argues, smacking the back of her hand as she speaks.
"Bare knuckle and wraps get better bets, the guys make their own decisions on if they do it or not." Brandon defends as he crosses his arms.
Talia shakes her head in annoyance, her face twisting. Everything was happening so quickly, meaning she barely had enough time to process all the information being thrown at her.
"You're scared of mommy cutting off the royalties so this is what you do instead?" She asks.
"The money is gonna get cut off and it's gonna be sooner rather than later. Do you expect me to suck up forever? To hide Sam til she dies too? Mom hates both of us now and you know it just as well as I do."
Talia feels her throat tighten at his words. Her stomach felt like it was close to emptying its content as the gut punch of his words hit her at a hundred miles per hour.
"Shut the fuck up. You know I love Sam and you know I don't want to do it just as much as you don't want to. But you're right, it will be sooner if she finds out about this." She spits back.
Taking a step towards him, arms crossed, Talia holds steady eye contact as she looks up to her brother.
"You're not the only one she can fuck over. When she finds out and cuts me off too, what the fuck are we gonna do, huh?" She whispers harshly as the crowd outside the room bursts into life again, the next round starting.
Brandon breaks the eye contact between them as he stares at the ground, fists clenched at his sides as the obvious stress of the situation flashes across his face.
"She won't, not yet."
Talia rolls her eyes as her arms uncross, leaning back against his desk.
"Mom always finds out."
"She won't this ti-"
Brandon is interrupted by the office door swinging open, a tall man with blonde hair and a panicked look on his face ignoring Talia to address Brandon the second his eyes land on him.
"Hood's broken Knight's nose." He says in a rush, causing Brandon to groan, following the man out the door before turning back to Talia.
"Don't leave this office, I'll be back soon."
Talia throws her brother a sarcastic thumbs up before he rushes off, the door clicking shut behind him.
Talia felt like her mind was in the worst spin she'd ever experienced. Finally the late nights, the astronomical bills being excused as gym costs, the secrets, they all made sense.
As angry as she was with her brother, she was more worried about him than anything.
Seeing the crowd, the action in the ring, it was more than just the sparring she would see from time to time as she made the rounds to check in on things. These people were out for blood, and would throw as much money as they needed at it to make it happen. This wasn't the kind of thing she ever expected Brandon to be involved in, and it shocked her that he's involved in that world obviously as more than just a spectator.
Sitting down in the office chair, Talia rests her elbows on the desk in front of her, covering her face with her hands as she tries to take a deep breath to calm her nerves, but jumping as the crowd outside roars again.
This wasn't something she was familiar with, and the uncharted territory this laid out in front of her felt like a minefield. Both her brother's lies, and the violence they were hiding.
With her anxiety peaking as she sits deep in her thoughts, she nearly yelps as the office door flies open, a tall man coming in and looking around for someone, before their eyes finally land on Talia.
If the sharp jawline, dark eyes and deadly look on his face didn't take her breath away, the ripped and bruised skin under his eye sure did.
A seemingly permanent scowl was set on the man's face, and his height and all black outfit just added to the intimidating stance he has as he lets the door swing shut behind him.
Talia couldn't help but notice that the man is attractive, even with blood dripping down his face, noticing his hair closely cropped to his head, apart from the wild bleached curls that fell onto his forehead.
For a brief moment, the angry look on the man's face softens upon seeing the smaller woman sitting behind his boss's desk, but it's instantly replaced by a look of confusion.
"Who the fuck are you?" He asks, his voice deeper than she expected with an unfamiliar accent laced into his words.
Slightly taken back, Talia frowns, withdrawing from the desk and standing up behind it, her defensive nature quickly taking over.
"I'm Talia Alisley, who the fuck are you?"
This time it's the man that's taken back, his eyebrows shooting up as he scoffs, arrogance in spades and tension building by the second as Talia crosses her arms in front of herself.
"I'm Calum Hood," He says, and Talia freezes.
Hood. Was he the Hood that the blonde man was talking about? The one who apparently had broken the nose of the guy Brandon was checking on?
"and I'm guessing you're the precious little sister." He comments, and this time it's Talia that raises her eyebrow. Did Brandon mention her to these guys?
"Too right I am, so don't fuck with me and we should be fine. Brandon said he'd be back soon." She replies, sitting back down with her arms still crossed and the scowl on her face settling in while in his presence.
Deep down, Talia knew it was probably a bad idea to piss off the guy who was not only bleeding, but the cause of a broke nose two rooms over, but her pride and defensive nature was far more powerful than the anxiety swirling in her stomach.
"No need to worry about that, princess." Calum rolls his eyes in annoyance. If Brandon was gonna send him to his office, he could at least show up instead of wasting his time, and give him a warning.
Talia was thankful in that moment for the low light of the room on account of the desk lamp being off, hiding the blush that made her ears burn. Yeah, he might be a dickhead, but he was still an attractive dickhead.
Slumping down into the chair opposite Talia with a huff, Calum shakes his head, while Talia stays stone faced across from him.
"You alright?" She asks after a moment, referring to where blood still sits on his cheekbone.
Calum frowns at her attitude change, not aware of the injury that he sustained from Knight's ringed hand landing a right hook before Calum landed his own.
In his defense, Knight should have known better than to touch his gear.
With the confused look flashing across his face for a longer period this time, Talia can't help but roll her eyes.
"You're bleeding under your eye, bro." She points out.
As Calum reaches up to touch his cheek, the door opens, the blonde man from before walking in with Brandon in toe as Talia thanks her lucky stars.
"Not gonna lie I thought you would have left by now." Brandon says, looking at Talia first while her eyes stay on the actions of the blonde man opening a medical kit on the desk.
"Oh don't worry, I want to." She comments.
"So do I, can I go now?" Calum directs towards Brandon as the blonde man touches an alcohol wipe to his cheek, making his aggressive expression falter slightly.
"Once Luke says you're okay and once I've dealt with you, yes." He sighs, rubbing a hand over his face.
"Look," Talia says, standing up and holding her hands up in surrender, "obviously you've got a lot of shit going on here right now so we'll deal with this tomorrow." She gestures between them, walking around the desk and past the three men.
Letting out a sigh, Brandon sends her a look of appreciation.
"Thanks T, text me when you get home." He replies, to which she sends him a short nod.
"Luke, can you walk her out?" He asks, turning to the man getting up from kneeling in front of Calum.
"Yeah, no worries." He smiles, taking his gloves off and throwing them in the bin.
Walking out the door with Luke, Talia winces at the loudness of the crowd, thankful for the taller, now calm, man standing between them and herself.
"I'm Luke, by the way." He smiles kindly, holding his hand out for Talia to shake as they make it to the door.
"Talia. Gotta be honest, I wish this was under better circumstances." She smiles tightly back at him, shaking his hand.
"Yeah," he laughs, "me too."
As they make it outside, Talia leads Luke around the building to where her car sits, right next to Brandon's.
"Well, this is me."  She says, signalling to her car with the keys in her hand. "Thanks for walking me past all of that."
"No problem. Drive safe." Luke says with a small wave to her, and she gives him an appreciative smile.
"You too. See you 'round, Luke."
Climbing into her car, Talia sighs, relaxing only slightly in the familiar surroundings.
As she pulls away from the curb, Luke sends her a final wave before walking back into the gym.
Driving away, the adrenaline of the situation starts to wear off, and the reality of the situation starts to sink in.
"God, I'm gonna fucking kill him." Talia mutters to herself, turning the radio up and going over the night's events in her head as she drives back to her apartment.
The next morning, Talia awakes with a rock of dread weighing down her stomach.
Her mind immediately flashes back to the events of the night before, and as she showers, gets dressed and locks her apartment door, it almost felt like she wore the dread of the impending conversation she needed to have with her brother as a scarf tied too tightly around her neck.
Instead of heading straight to the studio and editing the photos of the last few days as usual, Talia instead took a deep breath as she started heading back towards Vault, having a couple hours to hopefully get answers before her first clients for the day were set to arrive at eleven.
The parking lot beside Vault sat a lot emptier today. Only a handful of cars sprinkled around, and just like last night, Talia pulls into the space beside Brandon's car.
Taking a moment before walking in, Talia leans back in her seat, closing her eyes.
She was scared. Of Brandon's explanation, of possibly having to accept whatever the fuck she had witnessed last night, of walking out more confused than she was about to walk in.
Her and Brandon had grown up play fighting, and catching an odd round or two when their dad decided to watch Friday Fight Night, but violence had never really been part of their lives in a physical form. Apart from a questionable wrestling phase when she was 14, Talia couldn't even remember the last time she saw two people in a ring together that wasn't casual sparring when she would frequent the gym in its early days.
None of it compared to what she saw last night.
With what happened still fresh in her mind, Talia climbs out of her car, pushing the door shut behind her.
Johnny doesn't stand by the entrance this morning, meaning Talia easily walks into the gym, the door squeaking slightly in protest as she pushes it open.
It's almost like nothing had even happened. All the equipment that was pushed against a wall last night now sits in its normal place, the shelves of alcohol behind the check in desk now stocked with protein powders like less than twelve hours ago the counter wasn't a very convincing bar.
Hearing her come in the door, a couple people look up from what they're doing, sending Talia a polite smile before returning to their work.
Calum Hood is not one of these people.
Almost like the universe had put a glowing neon sign over his head, Talia's eyes instantly wander towards where Calum stands next to the black haired man she recognized as the same person Brandon was talking to last night when she arrived.
Noticing her too, Calum’s encouragement of his best friend is interrupted by his eyes catching a flash of blue hair in his peripheral vision.
While he knew any animosity towards the woman who could probably have him fired with a few fake tears was a bad idea to hold onto, he couldn't help but feel annoyed upon seeing her in what he thought of as his domain.
Face settling into a frown as she looks across the room to the man who easily got on her nerves last night, Talia almost doesn't notice Brandon coming up behind her.
"Hey." He greets quietly, holding a takeaway cup of coffee out to his sister. "Time for that talk, huh?"
"Yeah. Think so." She takes the coffee with a nod of thanks, and hesitantly follows him to his office.
Talia couldn't tell if Brandon was trying to suck up to her with free coffee, but after sitting down at the chair in front of his desk and taking a sip, tasting vanilla latte, she knows he is.
"So, where should we start?" He asks, settling into his seat with a heavy sigh.
Talia scoffs lightly, raising her eyebrow.
"The beginning would be good."
Brandon nods, looking down at his desk to avoid meeting her eyes.
"The fights started around one, maybe two months after we opened, so we've been hosting them for about fourteen months now."
Talia's eyes go wide, disbelief covering her face as she places her cup on his desk forcefully.
"You're telling me you've been hiding this shit for over a year?" She asks, anger already starting to build.
"Yeah, and if you haven't fucking noticed, it's not been the easiest thing to do." He snaps, before holding his hands up, taking a deep breath and rolling his seat back slightly to calm himself, too much tension already in the air.
Talia bites her tongue, looking down at her hands before she signals to him to continue.
"A friend of mine, Ashton, he was part of an illegal boxing league running out of a rundown place up in Hollywood. I saw him fight there a couple times, saw the conditions myself. The guy running the show was a complete asshole to his guys, but they all needed the money, so they stuck around." He explains, voice quieter than before.
"One night we got to talking. I asked Ash if  he thought we might be able to make our own ring, give people a safer place to earn their money. Then we figured out how much we could earn from it, and with shit going so wrong with mom, I figured that if she pulled the rug out from under me, I could use the league as a safety net."
Piecing together the timeline in her head, and doing the best to absorb the information given to her, Talia remains silent and slowly nods along when needed.
"Him and I have built this thing from the ground up, and it's working for us. I manage the books, he manages the guys, and we take care of the admin together. With my connections to the rich assholes who have more money than they know what to do with, and with Ashton's connection to the guys who need that money and want to do it, we're doing really, really well, Talia."
This time it's Talia who avoids eye contact, looking down to her shoes as she curses the logical side of her brain for seeing sense in his story.
"How many people do you have fighting for you?" She asks.
Brandon let's out a heavy breath, waving his hand slightly.
"Around twenty, twenty five. We keep the doors open for the more occasional guy who needs the cash that week."
"And how often are the nights like last night happening?"
"Weekly. Every Friday, normally."
Seeing the hesitation on her face, bottom lip pulled between her teeth, Brandon sits forward to bring her attention to him, her eyes flicking up to meet his.
"I know this is a lot, and I don't expect you to be okay with it, but I do want you to know I'm being smart about this."
Talia sighs, taking a sip of her drink before speaking.
"I know you, so I don't doubt it. It's just so dangerous, Brandon. You can't expect me not to be worried about you."
Brandon laughs lightly, trying to lift the mood slightly.
"I would never expect you not to worry. It's not in your nature."
A small smile tugs at the corners of Talia's lips, and it's enough to ease his mind.
"Anything you want to know about the ring, the business, any of it, I'll answer as best as I can. I trust you more than anyone and I want to do everything I can to make you feel okay with this, and make up for holding it from you."
Talia hazards a look to her brother, seeing on his face that he's been open and honest with her.
"You know I always ask too many questions." She smiles, joking lightly as she referenced something she would hear almost daily from her mother growing up.
Brandon shakes his head as he laughs, taking a sip of his own drink.
"If you get too much for me, I'll just pass you on to Ashton. It's what normally happens around here." He shrugs slightly, before tilting his head.
"Actually, do you want to meet him? He should be around out there." He asks, and Talia mulls the idea over for a moment before agreeing. After all, it would probably be best to know who she would castrate if something happened to Brandon.
"Sure, might as well." She agrees, downing the last of her drink and tossing her cup into the small recycling bin under his desk.
Standing up and following Brandon out of his office, Talia can feel her nerves already starting to act up, and does her best to shove them down as she follows him towards the bench press where the black haired man who she now assumed was Ashton, and Calum stood.
"Hey, guys. I got someone for you to meet." Brandon says, catching their attention as they approach.
Ashton sends her a warm smile as she steps out from behind Brandon, which is a nice contrast from the cold glare Calum sends her way, which she ignores to return the smile instead.
"Ashton, Calum, this is my sister, Talia. Talia, this is the demon on my shoulder Ash, and my blue rock em sock em man Calum."
"We've met." Calum says bluntly, while Ashton raises his eyebrow.
"And we haven't. Nice to meet you, I assure you Brandon's told us nothing but good things." Ashton grins, holding his hand out for her to shake.
Talia takes his hand and can't help but notice how strong his grip is without what looks like any effort, and laughs lightly.
"I'd hope so, but I can't promise my staff have heard the same about him. It's nice to meet you too." She returns, letting her hand drop to her side before she acknowledges the man beside him.
"And yeah, charmed." Talia prods lightly, seeing Calum trying to hide the roll of his eyes from Brandon.
"Talia is gonna be spending more time around, getting to know the workings when she can. I said if she annoys me too much I'm gonna pass her on to you, so fair warning." Brandon informs them, tapping Ashton's arm as he directs his sentence to him.
"Fantastic." Talia hears Calum mutter, not loud enough for the other two to hear it, but just enough that she does.
This time, it's Talia that rolls her eyes at Calum.
As conversation is made, Calum can't help but feel hyper aware of Talia, and the sun shining in from the high windows casting sunbeams through the few red hairs that fell out of her bun and framed her face delicately. He would admit that Talia was pretty, beautiful even, but not audibly, especially not in front of the girl who felt no hesitation in sending him a death glare every few minutes.
The small group spend ten or so minutes talking with each other before Talia's phone rings, letting her know she should start making her way to the studio.
"Looks like I should be getting to work." Talia says, slipping her phone back into her pocket.
"What do you do, if you don't mind me asking?" Ashton inquiries, genuine interest in his tone, making her see why Brandon was such a fan of him.
Talia believed she could read people well, and from her first impression of Ashton, she got nothing but good vibes.
"I'm a photographer, I own my own studio called Valentine." She smiles proudly, and Ashton nods his head in approval.
"My girlfriend works just down the road from you I think! It's not far from Dominion Books, right?"
Pleasant surprise spreads across Talia's face as she nods, happy to have found a common link.
"Yeah! I think I might have seen you there in passing now I think about it." She smiles.
Brandon watches on with joy as he sees both Talia and Ashton getting along, so happy about it in fact that he didn't even notice Calum looking like he would rather be anywhere else in the world.
Talia says her goodbyes to the men before turning to leave, her attention being called back before she makes it too far.
"If you ever need a fill in hunk for a photo shoot, you know who to call." Ashton jokes, sending a wink in her direction.
"Yeah, you can get your brother to pass you my number any time." Calum says sarcastically, surprising her but also making her scoff as she takes a few steps backwards before turning around.
"In your dreams, darlin'." She calls over her shoulder.
As the door swings shut behind her, Calum feels like his feet are glued to the floor, the eyes of his best friend burning into him as Brandon excuses himself to mock throw up against the wall.
"What's that all about between you two?" Ashton asks Calum quietly, picking up his water bottle as Calum picks up his own, holding it up and speaking casually before taking a sip.
"No idea what you're talking about mate."

A/N: Happy Birthday to our cute maknae Innie, he has grown so much. I’m beyond proud of him, he’s such a beautiful soul I wish nothing but happiness for him. I’m so soft for this boy I’m legit crying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were all gathered in the living room.
The four boys standing in front of you staring at each other with confused looks. There was a moment of silence before you snapped at them in annoyance. There was no way they could be any more stupid.
"Do I really have to explained it to you again you doofuses" You raised an eyebrow in disbelief at the sight of the obvious lack of understanding your friends had. Seungmin just moved his hands encouraging you to repeat the plan one more time. You took a deep breath, before continuing, "For the last time, Hyunjin is in charge of distracting jeongin, until we finish decorating" The boy nodded in agreement, he understood his role was probably the most important one, " Felix I need your lungs to blow those balloons" You pointed at the table covered with bags with deflated balloons. "Seungmin and I are in charge of baking the cake" He smiled in excitement. " And I think that's it, simple right, it's a piece of cake"
Someone cleared his throat behind you, clearly irritated at the fact that you didn't assigned him an important task like the others.
" What about me Y/N, what am I supposed to do" He said pouting.
" Jisung you have the most important part" You said reassuring.
" Which is?" He asked euphoric. Clapping his hands.
" Stay here and make sure to not open your huge ass mouth, I promise your contribution is the most helpful one" You said smiling sarcastically. " If anyone dares to ruin this surprise I swear for my life I'll haunt every single one of you in your sleep for the rest of your miserable lives, and you would see what's to live a nightmare with your eyes open, understood" A few scared whispers and some sighs at the end they all came to agreement. Working together as a team to give the youngest, undeniably the best surprise party, needless to say this was carefully planned by you over the course of the last few weeks.
Everyone left, not before settling that Hyunjin would come back exactly at 6 with Jeongin, therefore everything had to be ready before that.
You got into Seungmin's car, he turned on the radio, letting you choose the next song, you both sang along to Taeyon's spark, on the way to the supermarket.
" Get a shopping cart we need to pick up a few things" You said to him, as you entered the local market. Pulling up a list from your bag with all the items needed.
He got the cart and followed you behind like a puppy, through the aisles, helping you pick now and then when you were torn between certain brands.
"So should we make it a chocolate cake or a vanilla cake?" You asked him staring at the two boxes in each one of your hands.
" That's such a simple question Y/N, Chocolate superior" He said looking at you obvious.
"Alright, alright Chef Seungmin let's do chocolate" You said throwing the box into the cart. " Ohhh" you exclaimed fascinated. "We have to get this" You pointed, jumping in the excitement at the cute cake toppers. "Jeongin is going to love the tiny fox sprinkles" You smiled at the resemblance between your best friend and the furry animal.
" You are so whipped Y/N" Seungmin said teasingly.
"Shut up, he's like a little brother to me" You stared at your shoes trying to hide the blush creeping into your soft cheeks.
"Not so little, remember he literally just became an adult today" Seungmin was right. Jeongin was just a year younger than the rest of you, that's why your group tended to baby him the most, and he hated it so much. Now that he was all grown up you wondered if his attitude would change towards your antics.
Once you finished shopping. Seungmin and you went back to the house. You got the groceries from the trunk carrying all the bags, with your hands full, you struggled finding the key to open the door.
"Call Jisung and tell him to move his lazy ass from the couch so he can come and help us"
You heard him comply through the phone but in less than a second the door opened revealing your friend who still looked half asleep.
" Don't stare just stare at me, help me carry these" You said handing him the heavy bags that were already leaving bruises on your wrists.
"Did you guys went to buy cake ingredients or the whole grocery store" He said complaining at the amount of things you got.
" I got a little carried away okay" You confessed taking your shoes off at the door and walking straight to the kitchen.
Seungmin got ingredients from the bags and laid them on top of the kitchen table. You got the molds and the mixer from one of the cabinets, and tied your apron from your waist.
"Crack two eggs" You signaled Seungmin, as you poured the batter into the mixing bowl.
You were spraying the molds with butter so Seungmin could pour the batter and it wouldn't stick to the bottom once the cake was completely cooked. When your phone in your back pocket began to vibrate. You decided to ignore it, since you were extremely focused on your task. But after a couple of more rings you couldn't bear with the annoying sound any longer.
You picked up right away. Not before telling Seungmin to put the molds inside the oven.
"Hyunjin why are you fucking calling me right now " you leaned over the counter trying to wipe off your apron that was covered on white flour and sugar.
"He's been sulking all day Y/N, I even took him to the amusement park but he seems so down is actually depressing, He literally just said to me "This would actually be fun if Y/N would've come with me and not you" I'm deeply hurt, never imagined he thought of me as your replacement" He sighed dramatically.
" Just deal with it, you can have another of your existential crisis later" You rolled your eyes at your dramatic friend.
"Can you at least call him? he's just acting so weird, he just told me he wants to come home I don't know what to do" He whispered nervously.
"I'm trying to bake a cake hyunjin I can't give him a call right now" You said clearly. " But you are talking to me right now and the cake doesn't seem to be stopping you from doing it" He backfired.
" Ugh you are so annoying, maybe I can't call him because I'm busy and my hands and covered in flour and, Seungmin Lower down the temperature I can smell something burning!!!" You yelled. "I don't know hyunjin, keep him occupied, after all is your job, you better not come any earlier than we accorded. I’m warning you, I got to go" you said ending the call abruptly. Rushing rapidly to the oven where smoke was starting to escape from the sides of it.
" Fuck Y/N I think we burned the cake" Seungmin said panicking.
"Oh you think so" You responded sarcastically. Trying to extinguish the smoke before the alarm went on.
You opened the oven only to see your chocolate cake, all spilled, dark carbon colored batter dripping from the mold.
" Why you said we would bake the cake, if you had never done it before, don't just blame it on me!" He yelled back at you.
"Maybe I just wanted to do something nice for my fucking best friend, Seungmin"  You replied infuriated at the boy's words.
You walked away trying to not lose your calm "everything it's okay Y/N just take a deep breath" you whispered to yourself.
Your three friends standing in front of you not wanting to say anything, terrified to even move an inch knowing you could break down at any moment.
" Felix those balloons are not going to blow themselves!" You exclaimed.
" You ate the snacks I left on the table, didn't you, I told you earlier those were for later" You pointed at Jisung who only raised his hands innocently.
You were frustrated to say the least, overwhelmed,
Tired, you wanted to cry, the perfect party for your best friend was a complete utter disaster. You looked at the clock half an hour until Hyunjin brings jeongin back. You stepped out of to house because you began to feel suffocated. You needed some air. In desperation you remembered the person who was always one call away.
You dialed the number hoping he would pick up the phone, he was always busy working on his studio, so you didn't actually expected for him to pick up after the first tone, you were surprised when he did.
"Hey Baby girl"
"Chan" You whined at him.
" What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
" I need your help" You said.
" I'm all ears" He laughed softly. Chan was your supportive friend. He took care of you since he was older, he was always there when you needed him.
You ranted the catastrophe of your failing attempt of birthday party.
" Can you please bring me a cute cake? Jeongin might be on his way and I can't let him have a burned piece of uncooked batter for his birthday" You asked, hoping not to disturb him too much, knowing how busy he was most of the time working on his new tracks.
" Sure thing baby girl, I was heading out either way, I can't come empty handed" He said and you sighed in relief feeling like that heavy weight was lifted from your shoulders.
" You are the best Channie, I'll see you in a bit" You said your goodbyes and ended the call, you were extremely grateful towards him.
You opened the door entering the house. Your friends gathered looking at you with concerned expressions. The three of them instantly running towards you, the minute you crossed the doorstep, wrapping you in a group hug.
" We are sorry Y/N" They said unison.
"We know you've been under so much stress trying to make everything perfect" Seungmin said apologetic.
"And your stupid friends have ruined it all" Felix added teary eyed.
" We'll make it up to you, Let's get to work we have to give Innie the best birthday party ever" Jisung encouraged all of you to stop being so emotional and get on top of your game.
With you basically running out of time. You all began to work at a unquestionably high speed. Felix blowing balloons like crazy. Seungmin cleaning the mess in the kitchen. Jisung restocking the snacks and the drinks. And you dusting off the living the room. Everyone was so focused that no one even listened when the bell rang. Until you stopped the vacuum.
You opened the door, Chan was standing there smiling so bright, showing his dimples, you almost jumped on top of him if it wasn't because the cake he was holding with both of his hands was in the way.
"Channie, I've missed you so much" You said clinging yourself to his back.
" It's been a long time baby girl"
The boys immediately stopped what they were doing to come greet their brother.
" Chan mate you finally came to visit us" Felix said hugging the other Aussie.
" I wish I could come more often but this college life man, it ain't easy plus I've been working on some songs with Changbin" He said looking for Jisung, turning to talk to him directly. " We can't wait for you to graduate, without you we can't be 3racha"
" Just a couple more months, It's going to be awesome man, the trio reunited again" Jisung said with the eyes filled with excitement.
Chan helped you decorate with a couple of party decoration supplies he brought. You looked around one last time. Unable to contain the tears at the sight of how everything came together at the end. Proud of yourself and you also had to credit the hard work your dumb but amazing friends.
An upcoming text brightened the screen of your phone. It was hyunjin announcing that they were 5 minutes away from arriving. That was your cute, You all went to hide in different spots, after turning off all the lights. You headed directly to the kitchen and grabbed the cake, crouching behind the counter.
The house was dead silent until you heard the sound of the key clashing into the lock. The door opening slowly.
“Why is it so dark in here?” Hyunjin said playing along while pretending to looking for the light switch.
“ Wait I thought you said Y/N was not home, why are her shoes here?” Jeongin asked confused, with certain affliction in his voice.
“ Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Innie, Happy birthday to you” You sang as you made your way towards him. The cake lighted up by the incandescent light from the single candle placed in the center.
The rest of your friends joined you while screaming
“SURPRISE”
Jeongin was loss for words, his cheeks stained by the beautiful tears that were sliding carefully. Like an open faucet, unable to control them. He smiled through them. Flashing his indistinguishable pearly white teeth. Alluring dimples. Stars that flashed on those sparkly eye pools as he stared directly at you. Like you were the only thing he was able to see in that dim room.
He closed his eyes and blew the candle wishing for something his heart desired for so long.
Everyone clapped and congratulate the boy who was no longer a baby but now a man. Hyunjin turned on the lights and you all gathered at the table to eat.
As you were walking to the dinning room, someone softly pulled from your sleeve.
Your eyes instantly meeting with his.
lost in his angelic aura.
You had been crushing on the boy for long enough
That you truly wanted to impress him with this whole surprise party idea. It seemed like your planned worked at perfection when he wrapped you in his arms.
“No one had ever done something like this for me, thank you so much Y/N” He whispered into the crook of your neck. The proximity making your limbs froze and your skin tingled due to the warmth he provided.
“ It’s nothing, Im glad you liked it Jeonginnie” You replied with a loving smile.
“ You know I was mad at you all day” He laughed bittersweet.
“Sorry for missing on riding the Ferris wheel with you” You said making fun of him.
“ I actually wanted to ride it with you instead of being stuck there with Mr. Dramatic for 45 minutes” a sigh escaping from his pink soft lips.
“ Is it because he becomes all clingy as it goes up, he’s such a scary cat” Laughing at the memory of hyunjin clinging into your arm like his life depended on it, the last time you all went to the amusement park.
“ That and because I hoped to hold your hand” He said staring into your eyes, trying to tell you something, but you were unable to read through the lines.
“ You do that all of the time Innie” It was not a novelty the amount of skin ship you and your best friend had.
“ You can’t possible be any more dense Y/N” He spoke a little irritated at your ignorance.
Your friend was rather shy, this sudden confidence had you all bewildered.
“ I like you, you idiot” He said obvious, tired of hinting something that was crystal clear.
“ You what...?” You were puzzled, your jaw almost hitting the floor in disbelief.
“ I know we’ve been friends for such a long time but I be always seen you in another light, will you let me be the one who holds your hand forever?” He asked extending his hand to grab yours softly, sliding his palm on top of yours and intertwining fingers.
“ Yes” You whispered hiding your face in his chest “I’ve liked you since the first time I saw you”
He untangled your hands to grab your jaw softly, so you would look at him, Bodies shaking, an adrenaline rush, and fireworks exploding the moment he laid his lips on top of your, delicate and with such sincerity, a kiss that revealed the profound innocent love they had one for the other.
“ Best birthday ever” He said stealing one more peck at your lips. He became addicted to the taste.
“ It was a piece of cake” You winked at him. “ For your information Seungmin burned your original cake, The one I baked with so much love”
“ Oh that’s why it smells like barbecue” He said. Both of you exploding into laughter. “ At least you didn’t burned down the house, I need to keep you as far away from the kitchen as possible sweetheart”

Dancing lessons
Barry Berkman x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Barry is finally cast in a feature, the problem? He said he could dance and now he can either disappoint Sally or found a way to learn some steps.
Warnings: Swearing, blood, violence, guns, cheating, drinking.
Part 1 ● Part 2 ● Part 3 ● Part 4 ● Part 5 ● Part 6 ● Part 7 ● Part 8 ● Epilogue
Part 6
The rumor of sheets moving and the muffled steps on the carpet didn't wake you up, the clock in your nightstand said 02:00 pm and you have been sleeping for about half an hour after your spontaneous marital responsibilities, and you were still tired for the sleepless night; it was the sudden loneliness in the bed that felt wrong enough to make you incorporate in the bed.
"I thought the main purpose of getting married was that the guy will no longer leave in a hurry barely putting on his clothes" you told him and he gave you an strange look that made you feel uncomfortable with your nudity and search for a robe to cover yourself.
"I'm sorry honey, there is already trouble with the merge of the new company" He said putting on his pants and searching for a clean shirt on the closet "I had to head for the office, but I'll be home by 9, and we can have dinner"
"I can cook if you want" you said approaching him and helping him with his tie "Your favorite maybe?" You gave him a sad smile knowing too well what by 9 meant.
"Oh no, you should rest, we can go out or order something" There it was, like always an empty promise to hide the fact that he would stay until 10 or 11 pm at the office, and avoiding trouble at home by not making you put on any effort.
"Sure, there is new place a couple blocks from here I want to try" You said now following the lie "Is an Italian place L'angolo delle delizie maybe you could make reservations" You followed him out of the room and gave him the suitcase he left on the ground.
"Sounds great" He said putting on his jacket, he smiled the way both of you knew it meant we are not doing that "Italian sounds great, specially since you eat a lot of Chinese last night" He add completely innocently, but it light all the alarms in your head and protectively grab your phone, even when he was not looking at it.
"I was just hungry" You lied and he gave you a kiss on the cheek before walking away, the steps down the stairs became distant and one final door closed downstairs and then silence.
And like a stupid little child you started to cry holding yourself, until your legs won't hold you anymore and you feel into the floor, tired and angry at yourself, still holding the phone, you opened to see a text from Barry, one hour after the one you sent.
Sorry, I was filming. Doctor said you can't drink, but I'll bring the money. Meet you at 5.
The fact that he was still concerned about your well being made you smile, and then you were angry for smiling so you throw the phone against the wall and screamed in pain.
It was wrong, you felt guilty without doing anything, and the reason was now completely clear, you wanted to, you wanted for him to make a move on you, since you were too much of a coward to do it yourself.
But he wouldn't, he had a beautiful girlfriend, you saw her face popping up in random tv shows and commercials now an then, and you knew the mere reason you have met was to make her happy. He loved his Sally, with a devotion that was longer lost from you and Alan.
You stand up and picked the phone, then you look at your wedding picture, Juntos para toda la vida Together for life, a nice thing Alan Spanish grandma said on your wedding day, and now it felt more like a sentence.
You repressed the urge to cry again and instead change your clothes for something you could dance with. At least exhausted and covered in sweat you could silence your conscience.
After three hours of miserably following the rythm and two close calls to hit the floor again you lie on the floor completely tired. But maybe a little more peaceful, then Macy's figure came inside and blocked the light before giving you a hand to stan up.
"The four year olds keep giving you a hard time?" She asked once you were on your feet.
"No, I actually cancel class today, I forgot to tell you" You said and pointed at your head "I suffered a minor accident last night"
"And why are you doing this then?" She pointed at your clothes and then the record player "The last time you did that was because you were stressed out about your grandma having her hysterectomy"
You let go a tired sigh and not quite sure why start telling her the whole story, about how things were bad with Alan, about the feelings you had for Barry about how you weren't sure if you were doing something wrong, and she sit there with you listen patiently, maybe because at some point you have done the same for her or maybe just to be a decent human being.
"Berkman huh?" She said finally and then smiled at you "I mean I get it, he can't dance to save his life but he is kinda cute. Remember that rich guy who always sent you flowers after class even when he saw Alan coming home every day? He was hot, you should have chosen him" She said and both of you laughed, somehow talking about it that naturally and without judgment does made you feel better.
"Yeah, I remember, but I was too busy with Alan being promoted and the business here growing I didn't have time to that kind of stuff" you said and she gave you a serious look.
"I don't think you have time now either, but that was 3 year ago and you were deeply in love with him, so no other men seem important, he was as forgetful and workaholic as he is now, you just didn't care, and now Barry Berkman is just a clumsy student who is being polite as midwesterners are" She said, and you appreciate her being direct, but it felt wrong to face the facts like that "And you act like he has shaken your marriage like an earthquake, but the truth is that he hasn't. You have to ask yourself, do you like him or do you simply don't love your husband anymore?"
"I love Alan" You said almost too quickly "But I know what you mean, and you are right maybe Barry is just and excuse to project the little stability my husband and I have, but what can I do?" You ask her and she pointed at the door.
"Thinking quickly because the devil is calling" She said since he was opening the door with a lost look on his eyes and holding another board game under his arm.
***
Y/N I have something to tell you Barry keep rehearsing how to bring up the sensitive information, and yet he was dying to avoid the conversation with her.
"Hey there!" Macy and give her the perfect excuse to not say anything, at least not at the moment.
It all started with Sally's invitation to eat after he finished filming for the day, he pretended Y/N text didn't exist to avoid thinking about her, but he finally give in and spend the rest of the session smiling like a child, thinking about how much he was waiting for 5:00 to meet her again, he even went to a toy store to bought a The office Clue special edition since she had said she love that show, obviously just as a get well present, he said to himself.
He drove to the restaurant, and inside there were already Sally and her friend Monique from the movie she was filming, and he asume her boyfriend, a handsome man in a suit and he looked vaguely familiar but he couldn't place from where.
"Babe you made it!" Sally said happy and gave him a quick kiss making room in the booth for him to sit. "We were about to order without you." She said and then pointed at her friend, "You remember Monique, and this is her boyfriend Alan, he is a commercial lawyer, and works for a big company" She said and the man extended his hand with a incredibly white smile.
And he could see briefly see a discolored line where a wedding band should be, and he remembered that same smile in a wedding picture he had been seeing with guilt that morning.
"Boyfriend? So you are not married?" He said without thinking and the man laughed nervously
"Barry!" Sally said and gave him a playfully look meaning shut up.
"Oh I'm sorry, but you have been talking so much about Monique and how great she is I assume she was already taken" He lied, but the woman felt delighted.
"Oh is too soon to talk about that, we have been dating for, how much sweety? A year? More or less?" She said and Barry smiled trying to pretend he was not hearing any of that.
"Yeah, like a year" He said politely "We should order, I'm starving"
"Oh yeah, honey, he was telling us how he just came back from Dallas, making a big merge with an oil company" Sally said completely unaware of how Barry's fists were clenched on his lap wanting to blow up the smile from that man's face.
The worst part was that he was charming and polite, and a total gentleman with the woman, making the idea of Y/N alone at home waiting for him the more infuriating, after the meal he and Monique left together so Barry had to drive Sally home.
"They were nice right?" She said once they were on the road "I mean she is amazing but they together are really nice people"
"Well..." He started not sure of what he should said "He is fine for her, I mean he was a bit pretentious"
"I mean yeah, but you know he is a very busy and important guy, anyway how was your day? When are you going to let me go with you to one of your classes?" She asked genuinely interested.
"Oh you don't really want to go, I'm still not ready, but it was a good day at the studio, we are almost done" He said and then unable to still silent he ask "Hey if you knew that someone is cheating someone close to you, would you tell them? Or would you prefer to never know?"
"OMG who is cheating?" She asked opening her eyes widely "Jermaine is cheating on Natalie? I knew they wouldn't last" She said putting both of her hands on her face "She is going to be crushed"
"What? No!! I mean I don't know, last time they were fine, is more like an hypothetical question" He said now concerned that maybe Jermaine was in fact cheating on Natalie.
"I don't know, I mean if this person doesn't tell me may be to protect me" She started, after a long pause "But if they are my friends and they didn't tell me I would feel betrayed for them letting me be a fool for so long while someone is making fun of me, on the other hand what if it's a just one time thing and we are having a happy relationship and this only ruined it? I would blame my friends, but how could we be happy if the guy is cheating?? No definitely I would rather know" She said and then gave him a concerned look at Barry "are you sure you are okay?"
"Yeah, totally fine, hey do you wanna go to the movies? I can skip class today" He said with a tight knot on his throat finding a way to avoid Y/N.
"Oh I will love to , but I have a lot of lines to read and prepare for tomorrow" She said and he simply drove her home to later return at the dance studio. Thinking about how will he deliver such terrible news to her friend and that they might not be friends at all after he did.
"Is that The Office special edition of clue?" She asked excited once he was close, getting him out of his thoughts
"Yeah, it is" Barry responded giving her the box "How is your head?"
"Better, I'm just concerned about the hair, are you ready to loose some money?" She smile at him, and he returned the smile, both ignoring Macy rolling her eyes.
"I wanna play too" She said "The more the merrier right? Let's go I wanna take your money"
Things work out better than he expected since Macy's presence was distracting enough so he forgot what he was supposed to tell her, but after a couple hours and a few beers she left, leaving the two of them in an awkward silence.
"How was your day?" She break the silence first picking up the games while he help her clean te table.
"It was fun, after I left I had to make a few errands" He lied "And I was late to shooting, so Andre scream at me, is weird since he is about 1 foot shorter than me, but the movie is going great"
"Maybe he feels threatened by a handsome actor who can dance, and what was the other thing? Speak fluent Italian?" She laughed and he had to stop his mind to fantasize about how this was the perfect domestic life he wanted with her.
"And French" he smirked "I should've put Russian, you could have taught me that two" He said and the smile she gave him completely trusting remind him that he had something else to say. But then a ring went off in the other room and she run to answer.
"No it's okay, yeah I get it, say hi to Tom and Claudia for me ok? We can celebrate tomorrow" She said on the phone and then she hung up violently.
"Everything okay?" He said approaching cautiously.
"Yeah, Alan is working late, and he is going to spend the night with a partner of his firm, apparently they have some issues that were not completely solved in Dallas" She said looking at the floor.
"So he is already in LA?" Barry asked and his curiosity took her by surprise.
"Yeah, he came back in the morning, but he had to leave in a rush in the afternoon" She said and then look at the clock "You know what? Let's go out, let's get drunk, I haven't left the house since last night and honestly I'm perfectly fine"
And before he could argue with her she was already in her room changing to a pair of jeans and a bright blouse, while he keep thinking about the right way to tell her, but apparently that would have to wait, since at the moment she was concerned in putting the most possible amount of alcohol in her system.
"You shouldn't do this" He tried to convince her one last time without success.
"Come on, there is a bar around the corner, I can come back home walking, you either come with me or I'll go alone, what do you say?" She had an special talent to make him say yes and he could only follow her.
"Fine, but just a couple drinks ok?" He said finally walking behind her.
"You wanna do shots?" She said after she have drink three glasses of wine while he was still on the first one.
"Not really" he said.
"Hey gorgeous, 4 shots of my friend Jose" She call the bartender who gave him a judging look at him before serving them. "Ok, let's do this" She said and he look down at the shot glass "No, no, you have to look at me or it doesn't count" she said taking his face on her hand, and that spontaneous touch and intimate look that she gave him was enough for him to loose his mind and drink the burning and delicious liquid without any hesitation.
Two became four and by the sixth round the bartender simply let the bottle and they were more than happy to finish it. He no longer care about what he knew about his moron rich husband, all he care was that she wanted to dance and now he finally feel like he knew how.
They walk together, back to the studio, not caring to walk straight, and with no respect for personal space since they were holding on each other shamelessly.
Once inside she put his rehearsing piece on the record player and before she finish taking of her shoes he took her by the waist, more personal and closer than ever, they move roughly at first but after a few minutes he was following the music perfectly l, with his eyes never leaving hers.
"Well that's the secret" she said once the song was about to end "We should get you drunk before your big scene" The son ended but he did let go of her nor she set his hand free.
"I think is more about the partner" He said pressing her more to his chest.
"Well sadly they want young and beautiful actresses, even they have terrible technique" she said quietly.
"You are young and beautiful" he lowered his face to be a few inches from her mouth.
"I'm also married Barry" She answered, without any will to walk away and move herself closer to him.
"I don't care"

It's a little sad we didn't get to go couch shopping today but it was an excellent day and I got a lot accomplished for moving. I slept okay. D&D last night ended not too late. And me and James went to bed. We woke up around 8:30 and he was very tired. But I had more energy and I really wanted to get some stuff accomplished since he was going to work. He made us breakfast and I got dressed. And then once we had eaten we packed up a whole bunch of stuff in the kitchen. I worked on stuff in the bathroom and we kind of made a game plan. I would go over to the new apartment after walking him to work. I would buy some clearance markers that are my favorite kind of brush pen and go work for a few hours to get the place ready for being moved into tomorrow.
So we packed and around 10:30 ish we left. Got over to darts or and every night for the clearance section. Talked a couple of James co-workers. And I bought like 15 Mercury. They're really nice and all the colors are very pretty. Actually might go back and buy a couple more because there was some thinks that I didn't get. And they're like 75% off if not more. And I want to try to start drawing more so this was a very good like serendipitous thing to happen.
I left James there and hoped he had a good day at work. And I biked over to the new place. Still having trouble with my key in the front door. I think I've kind of figured out the way you have to put it in and turn as you pull out to get it to do it. I'm going to have to ask Vistaril. Because it makes me crazy. I'm always afraid of me to break my key in the lock.
The event was pretty dirty. I'm going to admit that. The floors were really gross and the Cowboys disgusting. I turn the air conditioning really hot. I don't know why I was so overheated but I was very uncomfortable. Once I cool down I walk around the apartment and just made notes of things that I want to address. The window in the bathroom is painted shut the bedroom doesn't have a screen in the window. The hallway window is also painted shut. And I also wasn't sure if we had a medicine cabinet. And it turns out we do but it's painted shut I was able to pry off the bottom part and I can tell it opens but the top part I just couldn't get leverage on. I'm hoping if I get like a claw hammer or something I'll be able to pull it off. We'll see. I'm has terrified and excited that something cool inside of it. Or like just a dead mouse.
I have first Dustin a whole bunch. Trying to get on top list of stuff and just make sure it wasn't filthy. I dry Swiffer and all the florist. Took like four Swiffer pads because it was really dirty. The room I'm going to be using as my studio I think with someone else's Studio before because the floor was real dirty and I think it was charcoal. And once I finish that I took a break and I sprayed the bathroom down with Clorox. That ended up not working as well as I was hoping it was and later in the day I went to Rite Aid to buy a stronger bathtub cleaner. Because my God the top was dirty. The whole bathroom was dirty but the tub specifically was filthy. Very scummy. I spent a good two hours today scrubbing the tub. But it finally feels clean and I'm hoping to keep it that way.
I went through with the four wet Swiffer pads I had. But I'm going to have to buy more. I was able to get me apartments for pretty clean though. I still think I'm going to go over it after all the stuff's in and then it'll just kind of be what it is but it did take a lot.
I also put googly eyes on the microwave and the fridge. But the one googly are on the fridge won't stay on so I'm going to have to get some tape. But it looks very funny. I hope Mr will gets a kick out of it when he comes to install the microwave.
I did a lot of cleaning though. The tub took so much time and I was very exhausted. Halfway through the day I walked over to the grocery store and the Rite Aid and checked out the hardware store. I am going to have to go to the hardware store to get bolts to fix my desk and I want to get like a latch lock for the bathroom because the door doesn't stay closed and just other weird odds and ends. Had a snack and hung out in front of the air conditioner. I drew in my notebook for a little while and I was there until about 2:30 or 3. It was a good long day over there. But I'm really excited. It's such a nice space and I can't wait to have all of our stuff in it and just be decorating into making it really really beautiful. And really really us.
Oh and I left there I was pretty tired but I decided to explore the neighborhood just a little bit. I found the coffee shop and I went to the park to see what that was like. There's a flower garden over there. I think it used to be a dog run but now it has a sign that says no dogs allowed. Makes me think of no dogs in the dog park. Made me laugh. And then I came back here to the studio.
I got back here and I heated up some of the Chipotle from yesterday and made a burrito. Went through the fridge and threw out some stuff that we didn't need and had gone bad. We have like two bottles of sriracha going right now. And like a 75000 hot sauces that I've never seen James use at all. But it's fine. We'll get everything organized. The new fridge is a lot better space-wise I think bull be able to use and get rid of a little bit more effectively.
I decided to dye my hair. I used the blue and Sapphire died that I bought at Sally Beauty the other guy. I used most of the two tubes and just absolutely tried to saturate my hair as much as I could. Rinsing it out took absolutely forever but I think I got most of it. I might have to wash my hair again tomorrow but that's okay. It'll be at the new place. The one good thing about renting my hair in the tub here at the studio was that the tub was filthy and it let me see where the soap scum was easier. So it was easy to clean off.
Once the temples clean I took a bath and then I got out and I've been hanging out with sweet pea. James should be heading home from work soon. I might ask you to stop and pick up sandwiches. I don't have a lot of things that we can use to cook anything right now. But that's fine. We'll figure it out.
Tomorrow is official Moving Day. We are going to be getting a U-Haul and moving all my stuff from the garage and as much stuff from over here as James and his friends can handle. I will be at the BMI twerking. I think that's probably for the best because I'm not that strong and I feel like I might just be in the way. So what will happen was I'll come to the new place when I'm done work and I will organize and start putting things away where they're supposed to go. And hoping that around then they will be finishing up bringing stuff in. But we'll see. I just don't want to do it all exhaust themselves and I'm hoping that because James is good at managing people it'll all go smoothly and easily.
I always use a kind of bothering me right now so I'm going to go eyedrops in and I'm just going to hang out. James is supposed to be bringing back some more boxes and I'm hoping that we can get most of if not all of the stuff that we need to tonight. So that he can just grab it tomorrow. I want him to have to come back here to pick up stuff in his parents car as little as possible because parking in front of this building is impossible. So wish us luck. Good night everyone. Have fun tomorrow.

I Was Born To Love You- Part six
Such an overwhelming amount of support for this series! I’m almost done writing it, I’m on Part 9 and I think I’ll try to end it there. Maybe one more. I have some ideas for the ending, but who knows! Thank you all so much xx
Summary: Leah goes home to a shocking surprise. Flash forward and she’s 7 months pregnant.
Warnings: death of a dog, adultry, lots of tension.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three weeks had passed since the party, and the next thing we knew, we were done with filming Live Aid. The guys did wonderful, but I was ready to see my little baby again. I missed Lola so much. The flight back was full of jittery guys, and and excited Lucy who never left my side. The absence of the baby daddy drove her into protective mode. She and I became very close throughout the weeks.
Once the plane landed, I drove everyone home, taking the rest of the next few days off. Bryan wanted me to get my new motherhood life situated before I came back. Two days was plenty for me. I was only about 6 weeks pregnant, so I wasn't showing yet. Austin's car was in the drive way, which was weird because he's usually at work at this hour. I opened the door, greeted by silence. Where's Lola? "Darling, I'm home," I said, setting my stuff on the coffee table. I looked in the kitchen and living room, Lola was no where to be found. I went into my bedroom to find a sleeping Austin. I smiled at the thought, but I quickly went away, I remembered what I had to do. I knocked at the door as he sprung up. "Leah," He said, getting up and wrapping himself with sheets. "You're home early," He said, not breaking eye contact.
I looked behind him to the bathroom door. Someone was in there. God this cannot be. My heart sank. I gave up. "Who's in there?" I said, defeatedly. He looked down in shame. "Shelly," He said. I threw my hands up in a I-should-have-known way. I walked out, as he chased behind me. "Dear, come back let me explain." He said. I held my forehead, looking at him. "I want a divorce. I have some lawyers in mind. Keep the house. But where is my dog?" I said, not looking at him. He looked around. "I didn't tell you?" He said. "No, you hadn't called me for an entire month. Where's my dog?" I said, angrily. "She, she died. She was struck by a car." He said, as if I should have known that. My heart was no longer in my chest. It had exploded. My baby, my life. "How could you have not told me?" I said, very quietly, crying to myself.
I left the house, getting into my car. I sat there and sobbed. I called Brian. "Hello, dear! How are you?" He said. I found a break in between sobs to tell him what happened. "I'll get you the number to a really good divorce lawyer. You'll be able to walk away with everything." He said. I shook my head. "I don't- want- everything!" I half way screamed. "I'm pregnant- with a baby- who's father- doesn't want us!" I said. "Drive to the studio. Roger and I are up here working on some stuff, we will find you a place to stay." He said. "But calm down first. Everything will be okay. Stay on the phone with me until you get here.
It took a bit, but I calmed myself down, enough to drive. "Okay, I'm on my way there." I said. I drove off.
I was there in about 15 minutes, walking in. I was a complete mess. All of the guys where there, including Lucy. They all wrapped their arms around me. As loved as I was, I had never felt more betrayed in my life. My heart ached. My dog was gone for god knows how long. The only good thing happening was my baby. I felt my face in a familiar chest. Ben's. I held onto him so tight and just let it out.
-6 months later-
I stayed with Brian and Roger for a few weeks before I found my own place. It was a very nice house. Still one story, but it had a basement, it was pretty big, a pool. And I had it all to myself. I really didn't mind living alone, it was actually kind of nice. Ben was with me all the time, helping me with the house and taking care of my crazy pregnancy needs, coming with me to the doctor appointments. The only problem being, the media thought this baby was his. The divorce was near finalized as he still hadn't signed the papers. I was 7 months pregnant. I started to enjoy the silence. But at one point or anther, I missed my girl very much. I called up Ben on this day.
"Hey, so I think I want to get a dog. Come with me to the Shelter?" I asked him. We all had Sunday's off. "Absolutely! I love dogs." He said. "Alright, I'll pick you up in about thirty minutes or so." I said, with that I started to get ready. Being pregnant in the fall is hard. I just bought these new maternity jeans, and a shirt that showed my bump. I had to say, this pregnancy was going well. The baby has been super active the entire time. But I'm sure it's a girl. I put on some comfy slip ons and left to get him.
We got to the shelter and I explained how I wanted a dog of any size. I told them about my house size, yard size and occupation. "Well, Mrs. Hardy," she said, she recognized Ben. I guess she didn’t know that wasn’t his real last name. I raised my eye brows and I was about to correct her, when she spoke again. "I have the perfect set in mind. Follow me." She said. We walked through the loud barking of dogs, once we got to a pair of border collie Siberian husky mix pups. "Two?" I said, questionably. "Well it sounds like you'll be gone a good amount, you'll want to make sure they have company so they don't get lonely. They're very smart and protective dogs," she continued, patting my belly. "And your house size sounds perfect for them." She finished. I smiled, she knew how to tug at my heart strings. "The price is around $500. But you'll be getting two-" "I'll take them!" I said eagerly. She laughed, as we filled out the paperwork.
"I'm very happy for the two of you," she said. I let it slide again. The thought wouldn't kill anyone, would it? The two beauty's came with leashes. Ben held the both of them as we buckled in. "Where to now?" He said, fighting his giggles back as the pups liked his face. "Doggie store!" I said, driving off. We got to my favorite store, 'Mulers'. It was an animal company that fought against animal cruelty. 50% of their earnings a year went to finding good homes for animals throughout California. They had organic treats, you were able to read exactly what you were feeding your dog, natural dog soaps, things if that nature. Sure it was expensive, but it was worth it. We let the pups out, and walked in. "Let's put them in the cart!" Ben said. He put them both in like little babies. One of them was black, white and silver, with a green eye and a brown eye. He was a boy. The other was all black with white around her eyes and belly. She has two bright blue eyes, but she was deaf. He looked cute with them. I couldn't help but to snap a picture with my phone. I posted on my Instagram.
"Welcome to the family! What should I name these beauties? Boy is on the left, girl on the right!"
Within minutes, comments of names emerged. I smiled at some of them, but I put my phone away. "How much do you have to spend?" He asked. "We will see. I had an extra thousand to spend from my last pay check, plus the money I'm getting from the divorce." He helped me pick out dog beds, with cages, puppy pads, little dog cloths, all things of that sorts. I had to put them in the cutest little shirts that said "Mommy's little diva" and "mommy's little prince". I held them with their backs facing out, as Ben snapped a picture himself. He posted it on his Instagram.
"Look who added to the family! @Joe_Mazello when can we start our own family?!?"
All of the young girls were a bit jealous, but I know they'll be okay. "I love them!" I said, putting them back. I picked out some dog food, a few different treats, some dishes and toys, and we were on our way. As I pulled into my drive way, I saw a lot of cars parked. My drive way was rather large, there was a spot titled "The Mother To Be". I giggled. "What's this?" I said. I took the girl pup, and Ben held the boy and we walked in. A group of balloons and confetti surprised me. I laughed at the startle. "You guys! You shouldn't have!" I said. Lucy approached me. "And who is this?" She said, holding the pup. She lost her mind when Ben walked in with the other. I laughed at her reaction to the two pups.
My closest friends threw me a baby shower. Lucy, still holding one of the pups, sat me on their make shift "Throne" (which was just a rocking chair they had gotten me), and placed a rather large crown on my head, with nipples sticking up, and she placed a sash on me that said "Soon to be mommy". I was so happy, this was so amazing. They had gotten me gift cards to places for paint, and baby stores to decorate the room whenever I decided I was ready to do that. They got me a changing table, crib, carrier, car seat, all of it was so beautiful. Lucy walked up to me, sneakily whispering in my ear. "I did a little snooping, and..." they brought out a box. I hadn't even thought about the gender, but I did really want to know. I don't even want to know how she got it.
Rami started to record. "Start!" He said. I giggled, standing up- or attempting to with the aid of Lucy- and wobbled to the box. "Before you open it, what do you think it is?" I heard Gwilym say. "Mmmm, I really think it's a girl. Every dream I've had it was a girl, so I think girl." Everyone had their bets, as it was displayed on the chalk board. Most thought it was a girl, too. I slowly cut the tape off, and opened it as different shades of blue appeared, balloons, all of it. It was a boy. I was having a boy. I started crying, happy tears. While I thought it was a girl, I felt so blessed to be carrying a little baby boy in my belly.
Lucy hugged me. "I'm so happy for you , Leah!" She said. The furniture that had already been bought was unisex, so it was up to you for decorations. As the party winded down, the guys had cleaned up, and everyone left, you held Bens hand as he started to leave. "Stay," I said. "For a little longer." He nodded. "So where's the nursery going to be?" He asked. I guided him down the hallway, the very last room. It was pretty big, had a rather large closet, and big windows. It was facing the back, though, so no one could see into his room. He smiled, walking in. "If I know your taste," He started. "The chair is going to go, here," he said pointing to an area that was surrounded you windows. I laughed, nodding, as I started to rub my belly. "And his crib will go, here, of course." He said, pointing against the wall. I smiled, nodding again, and walked in. My smile dropped. While I knew I had help by the dial of a phone, I could shake the feeling that I was alone. He could see it. He wrapped his arms around me, attempting to comfort me. "Hey, it'll be alright. This baby will be so loved, and I'm sure you'll met a man who will treat him like he was his own son. Hell, I'll teach him how to play catch. Brian can teach him how to sing-" I stopped him, pressing my lips against his. His hands held my elbows, as mine held his waist.
I pulled back, looking down. "I'm sorry," I said. He smiled. "It's alright, love. I was wondering when that was going to happen." He said. I took a deep breath, and cleared my throat. "I'm feeling a bit tired," I said. "Let me stay with you. You seem like you need a friend." Friend. Yes I needed him. But not like a friend. Something in me so wished this baby was his. I nodded. He had some cloths here from times that he and the guys got drunk and had to stay here. So he changed into what he had here, as did I, which was just a Queen t-shirt and shorts, and we both brushed our teeth. We walked into my room, boxes still packed up from the move, but I just never found the time to unpack them. My bed was across a wall of windows. It started to storm, which I liked the sound of rain when I slept, so I didn't mind. I maneuvered into the most comfortable position to sleep in, with my belly so big. Ben came up behind me, and wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my belly. It felt nice. Normal, really. He started to press kisses on my cheek and neck, which caused goose bumps to trail along my body. And we slept like that. All night.
What an excellent day. James just left after coming by after his theater shift. I'm laying in front of this box fan trying to stave off the mid atlantic humidity. But i feel good.
I had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night. I was just really freaked out. And the way I woke up this morning was not helping that. Because when I woke up I went in the living room and my screen was open. Like full pushed to the side. Something that you have to do by hand. And I literally never touch my screens. Ever. So now I'm sure somebody tried to break into my apartment last night. I am never living on first floor ever again.
But I left on time and felt okay. I was missing the front bolt on my bike. Another guess that someone was trying to steal it. So James would come by later and bring me a spare bolt that he had. And the cookies he made for my students. He's a very good boyfriend.
I gave myself lots of time so I could go to McDonald's for breakfast. I really wanted a sandwich and orange juice. The orange juice was really expensive. But it was a good breakfast and gave me a lot of energy for training someone on the program this morning.
It was a huge group. I've never had 50 kids and balls and track before. But it went well. And I enjoyed working with them. There were some issues because the one of the groups of boys decided that they needed 10 Marbles and kept losing them and not even trying to find them. And then there was another group who's chaperone decided that the tape didn't stick well enough and so she made them quit the project and just sit there for half of the program. It was absolutely bizarre. I'm sorry that it was humid and the tape wasn't sticking super well but no one else was having these problems. At least not that bad. And it wouldn't have been that big of a deal for me to go and get another roll of tape. It's just very strange to act like that.
I ran scavenger hunt and finished up with them and put things away. And then I headed out. I biked up to see James. He put the bolt on my bike and gave me the cookies and soon enough the bus was there.
I got to work and did some organizing. Got stuff ready for the show. It wasn't a ton I could do so I mostly just worked on their Awards. I was very concerned I was going to spell something wrong. But what I actually did was write 2009 instead of 2019. Thankfully I only did that on one. But still very annoying. I had to turn it into bubble letters to fix it.
I went and picked up the kids and brought them upstairs and they got right into their work. I love how organized and on task they've been lately. I wish they were like that all year. But we did our thing and then we went outside.
It was way too hot. Just uncomfortable. But the playground was fine and the basketball court was open. So the kids got to skateboard and that was nice. I rode around once but my shoes were too slippery and it was too hot. So I just chilled. As best I could.
Dinner was fine and then we went back to the classroom and Chelsea showed them some of their videos and we sowed and we got stuff ready for the art show. Everyone got a task of explaining a project out in the hallway. And I was very proud of them.
During our time I handed out their Awards. And some of them were very confused about what they want. But you know it's fine. I gave them their award and a cookie and they took a coloring book and it was all good. It was decided that we would sell the rest of the books. Starting at $5 and then eventually going down to $3. McKenzy, Chyna, and Deaira were very good sales women and sold all of the books. They made $40. I'm so proud. I'm going to buy the whole class presents from the dollar store with the money. Art supplies and things like that. Probably clay because they love it so much.
It was a really fun night though. Lots of parents came and my kids were really good about showing all the work. We had a lot of trouble showing our video. For some reason the files would not move to the USB plug Chelsi had. So we ended up just bringing her computer into the hallway. And that work just fine.
We got to talk to lots of people and what's a good night. Everyone slowly went home. Me and Chelsi hung back and talked about next week in the party and the field trip and all that. I can't believe the school year is already over. Just one week left.
I left around 6:45 and went to catch the bus. I got home a little after 7. It was a really humid in here but I made dinner and went and worked in my studio for a while. I'm trying to finish that to sculpture for the dentist by the end of the week. I've been putting it off for too long because I've been depressed. But I got all of the bits finished and I got the interior painted. And tomorrow I'll paint all the bits and put it all together and hopefully Thursday finish any details so I can give it to them on Friday. That's the goal for the week.
I took a shower and I've been laying in bed watching videos. I move some stuff down to the basement because someone's coming to look at my apartment tomorrow and I don't want the hallway to be a fire hazard. The whole place is kind of falling apart because I'm in the middle of moving. So it doesn't look great. But that's okay. They'll understand.
James came over around 9. And we laid in bed and talk. I showed him the video I back of my kids art installation. And we made some plans. About this weekend and our anniversary and moving. And then he went home. And now I'm going to get ready for bed
Tomorrow is going to be expensive because I have to take 2 lyft's because I have a very quick turnover in the middle. But that's fine. I never take Lyft so in the long run it's not that big of a deal. Just slightly annoying. I hope you all have a good night though. I hope it's not too humid Where You Are. Good night
