Evalien: *from our world and aware of lore that so far has proven to be accurate* one of your servants put a whoopie cushion on your throne and you actually fell for it. I’m not afraid of you.
I love the fact that most of the top posts on the Attack on Titan tag feature my boy Levi. Like, this show had a lot of good characters, but it's insane how much we all agree he is literally the best.
Sometimes I see a billy blog with a ridiculously popular text post on here that’s not billy related and I just think about how many people they tricked into interacting with them and im like 🫡
happy blorbo blursday! which of your ocs' character arc are you most excited to write? :D
Ooo this is such a hard question!
Okay so I have two. Both of them are unnamed officially but I’ve been calling one Percy in my head for a while, and let’s call the other Francis for the sake of this post.
Percy is, really, just… a guy who’s facing a lot of changes in his life all at once. There isn’t some dramatic thing that happens to him, it’s just a lot of little things all at once. And I like to think that an audience would be excited to go on that journey with him. Percy also provides a way to get some worldbuilding exposition into the story without info-dumps, since he’s just moved to a new place, is learning a couple of languages, and is starting a new career. I personally like him because I’ve been in the same situation for the majority of my life with very little change, and pretty soon things are going to do a complete 180, so having a character who’s going through that is neat. He gets it.
Francis is different from any character I’ve seen in fantasy before (but if anyone has any recommendations please tell me!). He’s nonverbal and autistic, and you don’t see a lot of representation that doesn’t fall on the same stereotypes and tropes. Normally nonverbal character are young children who are burdens on their families, and often there’s some kind of miraculous “cure” for all their issues. The plot often revolves around them being able to speak by the end, or at least no longer being a “problem”. Like. Fuck that. Francis is a protagonist, he has a love interest, he has a magic AAC device. Obviously he struggles with things, but so does everyone else. Just because his needs are different does not make him worth less. And while his character arc is inherently tied to his disability, because it’s undeniably a part of who he is, his arc is not about his disability. Francis is, in some ways, more competent than the other protagonists of the story. And he’s funny as hell; I haven’t written anything for him, but like the idea of him getting to have a good sense of humor. Until I have more writing finished about him, I can’t accurately explain what I want his story to be like, but I do wish we had more characters like him. I just hope I don’t fuck it up.
hey. don’t cry. crush four cloves of garlic into a pot with a dollop of olive oil and stir until golden then add one can of crushed tomatoes a bit of balsamic vinegar half a tablespoon of brown sugar and stir for a few minutes adding a handful of fresh spinach until wilted and mix in half a cup of grated parmesan cheese and pasta of your choice ok?
the beatles are an infuriating band to me as a relentless contrarian. liking them is cliche, hating them is cliche, being indifferent towards them is cliche. it's impossible to have an novel or interesting take on the beatles in current year. like how am i supposed to win here?
writing reader inserts is so funny because it's like. yeah you would NOT say that but now you do and you're gonna enjoy it. it's inevitably pouring a part of you into this fic. it's describing your dissociative daydreams in overly detail to everyone searching specifically for food to feed their dissociative daydreams. it's coming up with a hundred different scenarios on how to get railed by your favorite 2D man and yeah his dick is always big and he wants you so badly. it's playing barbie with Y/N who is like an universal OC at this point. it's going on silly little adventures in my mind and taking you all with me. reader inserts i love you so much.
