I've come to the conclusion that being assigned the fandom-mandated "sunshine character" is the worst possible fate a character could face

#maybe I'm just biased because the characters that this happens to tend to be some of my favorites but I think I'm onto something #these characters aren't allowed depth of emotion or complex inner worlds. once a character is fanonized as the 'ray of sunsine' #or the 'cinnamon roll' they cease to occupy any space outside of that role in fanon content. they're happy & silly & not much else #no matter how much depth they may actually have in canon. #popular fanon has a tendency to treat happiness & goodness like states without any emotional complexity. #emotional complexity is reserved for the anti-heroes & jerks-with-a-heart-of-gold you see. #atp 'X is a ray of sunshine' has begone to feel like code for 'I don't actually care about this character very much nor do I understand #their canon narrative so I'm just gonna ignore them 98% of the time. but hey they're really nice! that's something! anyways—' #this is about many characters but I particularly want to call out aang & nightcrawler / kurt wagner as two who get this the worst. #because christ the mischaracterization they get from people who never think about them outside of the 'uwu small bean' box is infuriating #also steven universe & miles morales. although it's not so bad for steven after suf #fandom bs #please pretend I typed 'begun' a few tags back

He's decided he's had enough cursing under his breath as he throws the cash back at the sleeping receptionist because and I quote- "Aint no fun when theyre not here." Cry baby storms out the entrance and kicks the dirt around for abit before calling his horse. giving Luz the same kinda shot composition here directly after finding out what happened to King and Eda (and telling Camila that she hasn’t changed her mind about returning back to Gravesfield after rescuing the two) while dressed as Azura (someone she admires) to when Philip arrived to the isles in search and rescue for Caleb (<- if getting there was accidentally or not does not matter) while dressed in his attire or at least clothes that resembles them, truly driving home the point of how similar the two of them are and how they really are just mirrors of the other

#especially the returning back to Gravsfield line is really important to me. both of them wanted to return to a home that isn’t home because #their actual home is the people/person they want to rescue. #how they really are just the other to the left and that’s exactly how Luz and Camila escape the tragedy that Philip and Caleb couldn’t #theres more to say about this but im tiered and need to go to sleep. #but also how the collector is playing out stories they’ve been told and quit literally using the isles and it’s inhabitants to do so #the way Luz in the beginning and Philip project onto it. anyways stopping here #cause i could be talking about the Luz. Thinking About Things

Thoughts about how Genshin has its own soda (Fonta. Probably a reference to Fanta, though that was made in Germany and not France).

Anyway, thinking about a trio of characters, specifically wrioneuvifuri, where maybe Neuvillette gets filled to the brim with the fizzy drink in question, and his stomach gets to that point where it's just numerous deep, bubbly gurgles - the kind that has someone wrapping their arms around their stomach and thinking that something is bound to happen, y'know?

There's probably some bloating too, due to the sheer amount of liquid combined with carbonation.

Furina could be the one encouraging this little indulgent time, and Wriothesley could just be along for the ride - or, better yet, he could be doing the same thing as Neuvillette (just on a lesser scale).

Even if Wriothesley is doing the same thing, his body is probably a lot more used to it than Neuvillette's due to the presence of Fonta in the Fortress of Meropide.

I like to think that Neuvillette tries to be polite for a good while and keep any burps down, which only makes his stomach even more gurgly and bloated. Maybe at some point he lets a few slip, or maybe Furina and/or Wriothesley have to.. encourage him to let out at least a bit of the gas.

Eventually it'll get to a point where he just can't fit anything more, which is likely also the point where he'll stop being so polite regarding burping. That's not to say that he'll drop his politeness entirely - just that some of it will be removed as he has to deal (with the consequences of giving in to Furina) with his bubbly belly.

TLDR: Furina = Orchestrator / Belly Rubber Neuvillette = Recipient / Stuffed on Fonta (Soda) Wriothesley = Encourager / Secondary to previous two roles^

You ever get lulled into a false sense of security during the first two thirds of a kid's movie that's good with a serious plot but mostly a pretty fun time, only to have the entire final third tear your heart out, chew it up and spit it out, crush it into even finer paste beneath its heel, and add the fine powder your ribs have been turned into by the sledgehammer it whammed you with as a seasoning?
