The first steps:

"Come on, come on.....come to daddy bubba," Harry cooed, watching patiently for the gurgling baby to smoosh into his arms that were lovingly stretched out for him. "You know I love you," Harry pouted, "And I'll give you cookies." You giggled, flashing an illustrious smile at your husband and baby boy who were bonding over Harry pleading for Zander to take his first steps.

"Oh baby, he'll do it when he's ready," Harry looked over with his usual puppy dog pout, "Yeah, but I don't want to miss it." You rubbed Harry's back reassuringly. "I promise, Zander would want you to be there too."

Harry gave a goofy smile, before picking Zander up and settling him in his lap. "I need to see you growing up," He cooed to the emerald eyed baby whose Harry's genes dominated. "Your my little boy, and I'm your first best friend." Zander cooed, pressing his chubby cheeks to Harry's nose.

"Oh you want kisses now hm?" Harry peppered loud kisses on his baby's cheeks, finally catching a breath to give him a hug, gingerly rubbing his back. "Mm, you're too sweet."In that moment, you wished your cell phone was there to record the sweet moment between father and son.

Later, in the afternoon, You and Harry were positioned at the counter, preparing lunch. Harry being a goofball, was telling a silly story about Mitch while they were recording a new song in the studio. "Ha, Harry! Was Mitch okay? Did you help him up?" Harry nodded, a cheeky smile trespassing across his face. You had noticed that Harry had stopped smiling, was completely turned around staring in awe at something he spotted from his periphery.

He dashed over to Zander; arms retraced in their stretched out position ready for his collapse. It was only once you turned around, that you realized Zander was taking his first steps. You shuffled out your cell phone and hurriedly recorded his first steps as he finally collapsed into Harry's arms. "YOU DID IT!" He cheered, "My baby boy took his first steps! Oh I'm so proud of you!" The father smothered Zander's face in soundly kisses, making sure not to miss an inch of unkissed skin where he didn't send a loud puckering smooch.

"Harry, you're gonna make his little cheeks all red," You laughed, "I know but he finally did it! He walked babe!"

You stepped closer, showing him the video of the precious moment you were fortunate enough to catch on camera. "Our little boy is growing up,"

"Aw, don't remind me." Harry cooed sadly, looking at the baby who was perched in his protective arms. "He'll always be my baby boy."

And you had to agree with that.

thinking about how when Garroth gets back from the Irene Dimension he immediately gives himself the task of fixing up the old docks. thinking about how the docks first came about as a direct result of Aphmaus influence on the town originally, her tasking herself out of her own good-will to fix up and serve the first town she stumbled upon and decided to call home. thinking about how garroth says he fell in love with her as soon as he knew she was a good person. thinking about how Aphmau paving streets and renovating villager houses is what made him love her. thinking about how the docks was Their spot, it's where he saw her off and waited for her to come back from all her out-of-town quests, its where they meet up after Donna and Logan's wedding and where Garroth goes to reflect after Zenix's betrayal and is comforted by her. thinking about how Garroth's love for Aph is ultimately an extension of his love for Phoenix Drop and her love for Phoenix Drop is how she shows she loves him. Thinking about when he comes back from the Irene Dimension, after inadvertently leading the town to decay, blaming himself for Aaron's death, and irreparably damaging his relationship with Aphmau his first course of action is to fix up the docks. He's fucked up and the only thing he feels he can do is what Aphmau did so long ago that proved to him she was a worthy lord and a good person: roll up his sleeves and pick up a hammer and nail.
