hiii, this might be weird, but who is Lazarus? I'm not religious, so I've tried searching for who he is, but I can't seem to get a clear answer and was wondering if you could explain him?
ah yes, lazarus of bethany. a man i consider to be equal parts friend and foe.
lazarus lived in bethany with his two sisters, mary and martha. and when we meet him, he’s sick. so much so that his sisters send for jesus of nazareth saying, “lord, your dear friend is very sick.”
jesus of nazareth was in jerusalem when he received the message. and despite being only a few miles from bethany, and despite jesus loving martha and mary and lazarus, he waited. he didn’t go to them straight away. he waited. he waited until lazarus died and then said, “lazarus’ sickness will not end in death. no, it happened for the glory of god so that the son of god will receive glory from this.”
and when jesus finally made it to bethany he was told lazarus had already died. that he has already been in the grave for four days. and when martha, sister of lazarus got word that jesus was coming, she went to meet him. and mary, sister of lazarus did not. and when martha saw jesus she said to him, “lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
and jesus said to her, “your brother will rise again.”
but then mary arrived and she saw jesus and she fell at his feet and she said, “lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.” and she wept over her brother. because she loved him and he was gone. and jesus should have been there. because if jesus had been there, her brother would not have died.
and jesus saw her weeping. and he saw the other people wailing with her. because lazarus was deeply loved. and now he was gone. and they had sent for jesus. they had prayed for a miracle. and that miracle didn’t come until it was four days too late. and they didn’t know that jesus was going to bring lazarus back. they didn’t know that jesus had waited that long to teach a lesson. to prove a point. they just knew jesus was too late. and now they were forced to grieve.
and then a deep anger welled up in jesus. and he was deeply troubled. and jesus asks, “where have you put him?” and the people say, “lord, come and see.” and he does. and when he sees, jesus weeps. when he sees, we get the shortest verse in the bible. a mere two words to sum up an entire town’s grief. two words to convey the loss of a sibling. two words are offered for the preventable death of a loved man.
jesus is four days too late. and jesus?
jesus wept.
and the people who loved lazarus turned to him and said to jesus, “see how much he loved him!”
jesus loved lazarus. and then he let him die.
and some of the people said about jesus “this man healed a blind man. couldn’t he have kept lazarus from dying?”
and then jesus, who knew all along that he would revive lazarus. jesus, who let all those people mourn. jesus, who let those sisters lose their brother. jesus, who let them weep. jesus, who wept with them. that very same jesus said to those who loved lazarus, who mourned him, jesus of nazareth said to them, “didn’t i tell you that you would see god’s glory if you believe?”
and then the stone of lazarus’ tomb was rolled aside. and then jesus looked up to heaven and said, “father, thank you for hearing me. you always hear me, but i said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” and then jesus shouted, “lazarus, come out!” and he did.
lazarus the dead man came out, his hands and feet and face wrapped still in burial cloth. and then jesus of nazareth told them, “unwrap him and let him go!”
and then lazarus of bethany became lazarus of the grave. lazarus of the grave that will never be left behind even though he has risen and relinquished. lazarus of the grave who did not make good his escape unscathed. lazarus of the grave who will now check each darkened doorway as death and his sting is keenly felt.
lazarus was a man. a man whose family loved him. a man whose sisters sent for a miracle. a man whose sisters mourned him in the four days it took for that miracle to show up. a man who was made an example for no reason other than being loved by jesus. a thing that we are all told to be. loved by our savior.
lazarus is a man who makes me wonder three things. firstly, if jesus had been there that my brother may not have died. secondly, if jesus of nazareth too weeps for me. and thirdly, if jesus loves us and we in turn love him too like the scriptures command, why does he use us in the lessons he teaches.
why must we be the men he makes believers of?
so lazarus was just a man whose crime was loving jesus. and martha was just a girl whose crime was loving her brother. and they both suffered a miracle because of it.

not to be serious or whatever but i think nov 5th went down like. That. bc of a few things: one the pandemic and the inherent derangedness of waking up and watching “unprecedented times” happen around you daily for the past nine months. two the election and the multi day pressure cooker of stress of constantly refreshing election news tabs and trying to keep your normal life (school work etc) going while the fate of american politics pretty much hangs in the balance and trump throws a fit on twitter. three the 15 year buildup of the cw’s hit show supernatural to the final season + the 11 of those years spent queerbaiting while tumblr did backflips through discourse circus rings about destiel + this show and ship being so big that everyone knew about it not just the fans. all of this leading up to the airing of 15x18 and the confession scene. castiel in love with dean. castiel goes to superhell. it just set everything off like a bomb. then the vine boom after vine boom of domino train information we kept getting. putin resigning. georgia goes blue. trump sues multiple states. supernatural trending over the election. people learning major political news via destiel screenshots. nevada. a whole bunch of other insane fandom news + rumors that started flying like dashcon 2.0 and the secret sherlock season (putin resigning also turned out to be a rumor but we thought it was real for a soild several hours). i think the internet just had no idea how to react that we collectively reached the next dimension. it was the most indescribable, hysterical outpouring of hilarity and togetherness ive ever experienced. when we say new emotions were invented that night we mean it. i miss it every single day

am kinda on the fence abt Mayfair Witches so far -- it doesn't feel anywhere near as sumptuous as iwtv, and the story feels kinda,,, rushed? idk, the buildup to the deaths in ep1 wasn't really there for me -- what makes especially lemle's death impactful for rowan in the book (where it's part of her backstory obviously) is that he's her mentor, she's been working with him for years, and she's almost corrupted by him
I don't remember keck at all, I think he's made up for the show? idk -- but it also feels odd that they would make up a new character for rowan to kill instead of using her adoptive dad
I do like that we got to see ellie mayfair and that she got a bit of a story
I don't mind that ellie knows abt the talamasca (can't remember if she knew in the book) or that she contacts them, but I don't like that they've combined michael and aaron into one character; I've always loved michael for the contradictions of him (blue collar, self made, college educated, intellectual) and combining him with aaron kinda erases those contradictions -- and I think some of the story is lost if michael isn't there with his new orleans background and his near-death experience
(also, erasing michael means erasing the meet-cute of rowan saving him from drowning which sucks)
(wanna stress this is nothing to do with the actor being black; I would've loved for a black man to play michael -- that could even work as a change from the Irish roots of book!michael)
having the guy who's gonna become the love interest be a member of the secret magic society kinda feels too --- cw teen drama imo
also aaron lightner is just a neat guy, like, he's old, he's british, he's an intellectual, he's psychic, he's everyone's grandfather, idk, I just love him, and I think removing him takes smth away from rowan -- denies her a guide in a way
actually, that also does smth to the dynamic between rowan and michael/ciprien bc in the books it's like. rowan is far superior intellectually to michael, and there's no doubt she's in charge; as outsiders to the supernatural world, they're on even footing re. knowledge of what's going on, but by making ciprien a member of the talamasca, they lose that equality; now he's suddenly the one with answers, the guide she has to look to -- and I don't like that
I'm very curious to see what's gonna happen with deirdre tho bc the preview kinda suggested that she's gonna wake up from her sedation -- which would be a humongous departure from the books (and not a change I'm personally in favour of)
also its seems they've combined carlotta and nancy into one character which just. Doesn't work
I do very much like alexandra daddario tho, I think she's really well-cast, and the same goes for harry hamlin as cortland -- cortland has always been a favourite character of mine, and harry hamlin seems to have hit the nail on the head with him

The death of critical thinking that I see in takes about the ATLA live action. I personally don’t care about it and I’m not going to hate on it but I need people to understand that yes you can like it but other people can also be upset.
I’m not going to tag OP as I didn’t want to start an arguement but as a lover of “bad” media, someone who grew up on CW adaptations of favourite characters and a professional nitpicker who finds joy in critical analysis of my favourite shows I can say that this take boils my blood (prefer for a rant that might not be coherent bc I’m ill) :
Tumblr media
Shows don’t have to be perfect, they can be flawed but:
1) they should aim to be good - The difference here is that sad money grab adaptations like live action Avatar have the capability to aim for good and just don’t try. People are upset bc they believe (right or wrong) that the show has missed the point of ATLA. That it has major structural flaws (pacing, characters, themes, etc). These aren’t just little ‘oops didn’t get that perfect’ things these criticisms are pointing to there being an issue with the creative team’s intent, understanding and skill at adapting the series.
(The original creators of the animated series left for as far as I am aware undisclosed creative issues but I think we can see that at some point this project was capable of being what people wished for.)
The source material is well loved and while live action has its limits it has the blueprints to be a hit. It just missed.
A beloved show already exists, the live action failed bc it didn’t understand it- why did it change KEY POINTS such as character’s personality? People are upset about specific LARGE changes. Not little nitpicks.
2) Yes shows are entertainment but they are also art - they are meant to say something not just be a cheap laugh. The original had deep messaging. Every comedy, sitcom, drama whatever says something. The shows that last have something that touches the audience. Even cheesey romcoms make the audience care, even if it’s as simple as love.
Can we stop with these ‘maybe the curtain is just blue’ takes!
Dude I love supernatural, I can enjoy a show that has some big flaws. But the difference is that one is an original story with some fucked plot holes and the other is based on an established media that is viewed as almost perfect (the og isn’t perfect, nothing can be).
Tumblr media
I don’t think you know what suspension of disbelief is. We suspend our disbelief to believe in bending and avatars and sky bison and penguin sledding. Not to excuse bad characterisation
This for me isn’t about the show. I don’t care but I think takes like this where it encourages you to abandon critical thinking are the worst thing about fandom.
Go and enjoy the show. I’m sure it is fun. Im sure you can find so many lovely new takes on characters. Im sure there’s stuff that builds on the original and makes it better.
But never tell people not to nitpick. Not to criticise. Not to question if the creators understood the text correctly.
I promise Netflix won’t be hurt if people say it’s not good enough and they’d rather just watch the original.
(I don’t know why everything needs a live action adaptation anyway)

I think it's really telling/interesting how a full season of supernatural which was on *the cw* cost AT LEAST twice the entire budget of first kill and on average an episode of spn (~2M) cost more than than the average first kill ep (10M/8 eps = 1,16M an ep) so an entire season would be about 44M. Again: one of the biggest shows on a network that has never been profitable (and was also one of the LOWEST budgeted shows on network TV) had a bigger budget than a very small show on a massively profitable hundreds-of-millions-of-subscibers worldwide streaming service.... So you know based on how it performed it was profitable for them.. So they would have no reason to cancel it right? Even if they increase the budget to up the quality for s2 it would *still* be profitable for them bc even more people would watch it.... The show was only as successful as it was bc of *word of mouth* it had literally no promo and was competing with some of the biggest shows on the service.... And it still did like it did. Imagine how it would grow between seasons through this same strategy...they could literally have a massive hit on their hands..... But I guess when you're deadset you don't need a reason.. the urge to bury your gays is just stronger, huh?

A former “Riverdale” actor who admitted to murdering his mother also wanted to kill Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, it was revealed in court.
Ryan Grantham — who played teen Jeffery Augustine on the hit CW show — pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for shooting mom Barbara Waite in the back of the head as she played piano in their British Columbia home on March 31, 2020.
During his sentencing hearing on Monday, prosecutors said Grantham then packed his car with three guns, ammunition, 12 Molotov cocktails, camping supplies and a sheet with directions to Rideau Cottage where Trudeau lives in Ottawa, CBC News reported.
Grantham, 24, mentioned his plan to kill the Liberal Party leader in statements to authorities and from a private journal read in court, the report said.
But he drove only a few hours east before turning around with thoughts of killing people on Vancouver’s Lions Gate Bridge or at the university where he was a student.
He ultimately drove to Vancouver police headquarters instead, approached an officer in a police car and said, “I killed my mother.”
Besides his supporting role in “Riversdale,” a show based off the “Archie” comic book series, Grantham also appeared in TV’s “Supernatural” and the movie “Dairy of a Wimpy Kid.”
In Riverdale, the character played by Grantham is actually responsible for killing Archie’s father in a hit and run driving accident, according to an Archie fandom page.
In the months leading up to his mother’s slaying, the court heard Grantham felt hopeless and had a desire to commit violence, according to CBC. He even contemplated suicide with feelings of anger and anxiousness over perceived failures.
He did a walk-through of the crime by secretly approaching his mother with a gun on one occasion; a Go-Pro camera caught at least one of his rehearsals, CBC News reported.
More footage shows his mother’s dead body with him saying, “I shot her in the back of the head. In the moments after, she would have known it was me.”
In his March 31 journal entry he wrote, “I’m so sorry mom, I’m so sorry Lisa … I hate myself.”
After the shooting, he went out to get money, weed and beer and then experimented making Molotov Cocktails and watched Netflix before covering his mom’s body in a sheet and going to bed, according to his statement to police.
Before he left the British Columbia townhouse the next day, he hung a rosary on the piano and arranged lit candles around the 64-year-old’s body.
Waite’s body was found later that day by her daughter Lisa Grantham after her mother didn’t return texts and phone calls, CBC News reported.
“How can I trust anybody when my only sibling chose to execute my mom when her back was turned,” she said during the hearing.
Grantham pleaded guilty to the murder on March 9 in BC Supreme Court. He faces life in prison.

this has probably been said a thousand times but i haven’t seen it so i’m gonna say it: have we discussed the dean and cas parallels in terms of commitment to masculinity through their voices? it’s been said a lot that they’re masc on purpose but from what i’ve seen it’s been mostly about how jackles and misha chose to do that and not as much about the characters themselves. because in cas’s case for example, that is not how jimmy novak talks. castiel angel of the lord has no gender and should sound like whatever his vessel’s voice sounds like, but jimmy does not sound like that and they make a point of us knowing it. cas has been through more than one vessel but he always ends up in the same, always presenting as male, always sounding like he does. cas is masc on purpose not just as a choice misha made, but also as a choice cas made. it makes us think he prefers to have his human form be a man, and so makes the conscious decision to sound like A Man. and it’s interesting to compare that with dean because what’s basically happening is cas chose masculinity and wants to get it right, whereas dean was forced into masculinity and feels pressured to excel in it. yet another way in which they’re the same and completely different at the same time, because there was a sort of convergent evolution where different reasons led to the same action. of course cas’s relationship with masculinity compared to dean is very different in every other aspect, as it was worded so well in that post about how he’s a kind and sensitive queer man who still beats the winchesters in traditionally male attributes like physical strength, etc, but in regards to how they talk, this is still a thing. now, was this all intentional from jackles and misha? i have no idea. but they’re still choices they made, and they had to have some reason behind them. i’m just speculating and maybe overthinking it. but it’s still interesting to consider that maybe, if dean hadn’t died in the finale and his arc had gotten the resolution it so deserved as he came to terms with his sexuality and finally started living comfortably as a queer man, maybe, just maybe, there would be a day where we suddenly realized his voice wasn’t as deep and growly as it was before. because he himself had realized he didn’t need that anymore. but cas would sound the same, so we’d have a kind, sensitive “man” who has always been comfortable with the fact that he loves another man and doesn’t really care about gender roles, who effectively sounds like a better performer of masculinity than dean, thus invalidating the whole thing. yet another portion of the secret good version’s deconstruction of masculinity that could have gotten its deserved resolution if not for the finale

what's your take on the cw thing?
okay apologies if this isn't articulate, i've gotten maybe 6 hours of sleep in the past three days but i'm mostly seeing a lot of bitter spn fans acting like this is some sort of brilliant win on the part of the fandom or that homophobia tanked a successful network and will teach other networks better or whatever but that's just not an accurate picture of what the cw network is or has ever been? it's frankly surprising the cw has survived THIS LONG regardless of whatever insane supernatural fandom conspiracies circulate.
to start, the cw being for sale does not mean it's bankrupt, and bankrupt and not profitable do not mean the same thing whatsoever. netflix did not turn a profit until 2020 i'm pretty sure but that was just the nature of their business model. the cw having never turned a profit is unsurprising to anyone with even a crumb of knowledge about tv ratings. of the five u.s. commercial networks, the cw has since its inception been the smallest and pulled in vastly smaller audiences than any of the others. ratings that would get shows cancelled on any other network were smash hits for the cw bc its audience is so tiny. since they cant rely on huge live audiences to pull the advertising dollars of the other networks, most of their money came from syndication deals and global broadcast which is why most cw shows would get to 4 seasons before dying (syndication requires ~88 episodes). the cw itself came to be by merging two networks owned by cbs and wb that were money sinks on their own. clearly the merger wasnt enough to give those companies the win they wanted, and they're hoping involving a third party will finally work, i'm assuming. it's also a good example of how fandoms dont ACTUALLY impact the financials of a show. networks care about people being loud on here a /bit/ but they care about eyeballs even more than. supernatural, riverdale, the DC shows, everything that is the cw's bread and butter have massively popular online fanbases but that did not save the network. nbc and abc shows i dont hear a peep about online are thriving on networks that are surviving the death of network tv because millions will tune in week after week to watch them in a way that often younger, more online audiences simply wont do. it doesn't help that cw shows are in genres that are often far more expensive than shows that air on more popular networks.
tldr im surprised the cw lasted 16 years... i wouldve assumed they wouldve tried to offload it 6+ years ago because it's always kind of been treading water but i guess the pandemic was just the final nail in the coffin

cw: fucking awful tropes such as homophobia, fatphobia, all the bad tropes man, I’m so sorry
The Magnus Archives is too fancy a name for Moldy Pencil’s het dudebro target audience, so instead it’s something simple and kinda stupid like Fearhunter, because oh yeah instead of exploring the fucked up implications of monster hunters who murder things for a living, this is now a monster of the week show, JoHn is an avatar of The Hunt who’s parents were killed by Jude (and there’s gross emphasis on it being in part because Jude is a lesbian, yay representation) So now Jon works for an underground network of hunters (who aren’t viscous monsters because the hunt is the only moral entity!) including Martin, who instead of sasha, is the computer guy, and also the token fat comedy relief character, Sasha is the sexy love interest who can fight because she had 7 brothers, but seems to always be the one who needs saving by JoHn, and Tim is JoHn’s cousin or something but the fans ignore it and JoHnTim is the most popular ship in the fandom, oh yeah the fandom, Moldy Pencil was aiming for middle aged men but instead got a fanbase of queer teenagers, and a few seasons in they start openly making fun of the fandom within the actual show with gay jokes (yay) and because this show has no nuance the big big bad is Elias but instead of Jon working for him, he’s the king of the monsters, and probably gay coded, probably makes a joke about wanting to do it with JoHn, to his het dismay. JoHn is a manly man man who sleeps with every woman that ever shows up, and dies many many many times and always comes back, after s3 we’re introduced to Oliver Banks (and he’s probably “deathly pale” in this version bc poc protagonists on this kinda show are a rare find) instead of the nuance of the end, he’s a grim reaper who can raise the dead, and saves JoHn because “life and death have big plans for him” and JoHniver immediately becomes the most popular ship and the producers drag out a will they won’t they over 11 seasons in which the world almost ends every other season, and at the very end Oliver confesses his love to JoHn and immediately goes to super mega ultra hell for being a homo, only for JoHn to die of tetanus one week later, oh and Tim has a slaughter arc in the first few seasons and then it’s never brought up again. This has been an obvious dis on supernatural with a blend of other shitty tropes, I hope you hated reading this as much as I hated writing this
Tbh OP sometimes I just skim and when I hit my limit i just hit queue

Breaking news. It's had been confirmed by The CW that Supernatural is coming back with Season 16 and filming starts January 15 .
I'm so excited to see you again , ” Jared said threw zoom meeting .
Same , ” You said with a smile.
I'm excited to see everyone again , ” Jensen said .
I can't wait , ” You said .
Where is that 6’4 husband of yours at , ” Jensen asked?
Hi Jensen and Jared , ” Bill said as he sits down by you on the couch.
Hi Bill , ” Both Jensen and Jared said.
So. What do you think of you and bill having more kids than us on set, “ Jensen said with a laugh.
I just have one more kid then you and Jared, ” You said.
Yeah. We couldn't imagine having four kids bc three is enough for us both and they keep us on our toes all the time , ” Jared said.
Yes. They do , ” Jensen said .
I had always wanted a big family. Since Bill has seven slidings including himself and the skarsgård family is huge and I had wanted that in kids, ” You says .
Damn. You have seven siblings, ” Jared said.
Yes. I have a lot of siblings and but I have only one sister , ” Bill said with a smile.
I'm so glad that I'm a only child, ” You said with a smile.
You are lucky. Do you want our siblings , ” Both Jensen and Jared said.
No. I'm good about that , ” You said .
So Bill. How does to feel to be a father to four kids , ” Jared asked ?
It's amazing. Our kids keep us on our toes all the time. We don't have to go the gym to stay fit bc they have a lot of energy for their ages and we always chased them around the house , ” Bill said with a chuckle.
I got me a apple watch. To track my steps every day and if you are like us chasing the kids around the house and outside and up the stairs so many times. You will get more like 10-20 thousand steps in a day if you chased your kids up the stairs more than once in a day and you will step on stuff like Lego’s on the stairs when you aren't paying attention and those freaking hurt like crazy and Bill just laughs everytime when it happens , ” You said with a laugh.
You laugh at her , ” Jensen asked?
Yeah. You should have seen her face yesterday when she was chasing the kids and y/n had stepped on a couple of lego’s and her face was so red and I think that she was trying not to curse bc of the kids and I was just laughing my ass off at her but y/n didn't talk to me for a couple of hours and I had ended getting her flowers and we had made up in the bedroom, ” Bill said as he smirked at you.
TMI , ” Jensen said as he shakes his head in disgust .
It's not my fault that my husband has a pregnancy kink, ” You said with a chuckle.
Omg. Thanks for that and now I will never get this out of my brain, ” Jensen said .
Both You and Bill looked at each other then at Jensen before you and him started to laugh .

A deeply cursed scene from a secret good supernatural has appeared to me, as though in a dream.
Cw: misogyny and mild transphobia.
In the secret good supernatural where Sam is played by a competent actor (Eve lindley maybe?) and is therefore obviously a trans lesbian. And in this good au, she realizes this while she is at Stanford, but then everything goes to shit when dean comes back and so she does the, "I can never be out without losing the little security and stability I have." Thing and is very closeted. And then on one of their hunts, they end up interviewing a trans woman who is initially not read as a woman, corrects them, because they're in a space where that is something that is socially reasonable for whatever reason, and then Dean hits on her like in the super gross way that he always does. And after the hunt Sam is like, very cautiously, "I didn't know you were interested in trans women?" And Dean is like, "well the hot ones yeah, duh." And then Sam doesn't say anything, because that's a lot to take in during this period. And Dean is like, "yeah I hooked up with a [outdated offensive term probably] stripper a couple of years back and, I'm a changed man now." and then he says a bunch of deeply objectifying stuff about how trans women are good in bed, because they are. And Sam is like, "gross dude, stop" because she has boundaries. And Dean drops one of those, we are criminals we shouldn't judge weirdos or sex workers, especially not the single ones. And sam is just, so confused about this conversation that she literally thinks about it for Years, and Dean doesn't think about it at all bc Dean.
I wasn't going anywhere with this really. I just think Dean is the kind of dude who hooks up with a lot of sex workers in a very open way in the early parts of the show, and that probably means that he's one of the few sex positive people who doesn't get defensive about hooking up with trans women. Despite probably being the kind of person who makes fun of Sam for like, not using slurs to talk about gender non-conforming people.
oh this is fascinating. hm.

The CW hit fantasy show Supernatural is the work of the devil bc now I will read a book like Thing Fall Apart and every time it talks about the protagonists relationship with his father and how it consequently affected his life, how he sees himself and how he treats others my brain goes "Huh, just like Dean Winchester"

top 5 most heartbreaking moments in spn or the moments that fuck w u the most !!
YESSS okay this is biased obviously coming from a gay cas stan BUT:
1. GOODBYE STRANGER CRYPT SCENEEE like god the emotions, the drama, cas refusing to hurt dean but his body betraying him, dean refusing to fight back it all hits SO hard. that shit fucked me so hard at 14 and rewatching when i was 20 made me realise that actually it IS insane and i was right
2. the same scene except in the prisoner (i think that's the ep?) like the establishing that cas is dean's colette, the parallels to goodbye stranger GODDD it's so painful and it's so visceral like the fighting is BRUTAL but somehow that still makes the scene deeply romantic? cas taking dean's wrist in the same way dean takes cas' in goodbye stranger....it's all PAINFULLY real
3. Okay... okay so cas' love confession . im never gonna be over this like the lines? you can tell a gay person wrote it because it's so heartbreaking and so real. like, happiness isn't in the having butin the saying it? you changed me i cared about the entire world becaude of you? it HITS and i know people clowned it but it's a top tier love confession imo, no matter what happens in the final ep
4. okay god not destiel but in s8 when sam says that the trials are purifying him and be literally doesn't care if he lives or dies? it BREAKS MEEE like it's one of those storylines that makes him gaycoded he wants to be pure he wants to be good!
5. and okay another s15 one, and there are tons that can compete with it, but..... dean's prayer. the way it's a love confesion, the way he would never say it to cas' face but alone he lets himself cry. dean admitting that he has anger issues and that thats one of the things that gets between hin and cas ? it hits SOOO hard and the way he has more to say and cas cuts him off after because he either doesn't think he reciprocates or knows he reciprocates and can't hear him say it bc the empty will take him? Supernatural cw is a sick sick show
