the whole "trans men are female and trans women are male" thing IS terf shit though. why do you think they cling to the "two sexes" thing so much? it's to try and validate their fears of trans women being "male oppressors" to the "females". which isn't how any of that shit works by the by. trans women are oppressed by tme people for their womanhood, aka transmisogyny. being trans and buying into the sex based thing is self hating at best, and at worst actually just helping violent transmisogynists feel vindicated in their fear of trans women. this is especially loaded coming from a trans man, since the whole "im born a wombyn uwu" thing is often used, yet again, to villainise trans women even more, as if they have some "male privilege" to always atone for and not Real Women. not to mention "there are only two sexes" hurts intersex people too, but i get the feeling you don't care about that either. you're more upset about possibly being called a terf than you are about how your perspective is hurtful to other trans folk. also, you claim to be anti m-spec yeah? then what would you call a lesbian who is attracted to women, ALL women regardless of their genitals? you about to start some pathetic "bi lesbian" bullshit because of liking "both female and male sex"? being attracted to woman is being attracted to one gender. fuck off with the sex based thing.

A) I don't care what you call me. I've been called a terf before, I'm sure I'll be called a terf again. Y'all keep insisting I hate other trans people - you saying it doesn't make it true. There are 2 sexes, you calling me a terf or a transphobe or whatever else doesn't change that. It is true whether you want to believe it or not.

B) Sex is real, cry about it. My transitioning doesn't make me stop being female, it just makes me resemble the male body. Vice versa for trans women.

C) Shove the tme shit up your actual ass. Yes trans women face issues that cis women don't, but cis women also face problems that trans women don't. The whole tme thing is literally just pitting trans people against each other and erasing the oppression of cis women and trans men.

D) Intersex people aren't a third sex, they are still either male or female.

E) A lesbian might make an exception for a trans woman, I'm not the boss of who lesbians have sex with. That's their business, not mine. But if a lesbian doesn't want to have sex with someone with a male body, it's not fucking transphobia. It's just her being a fucking homosexual. Insinuating that lesbians have to make an exception, are obligated to be with trans women if they don't want to be, that's homophobia. But I get the feeling you don't actually care about lesbians.

literally i could not tell u why she was showing me her nudes. im guessing it’s bc she wanted to show me that she gained weight and show her body before 😭😭 i felt like she was low-key flirting ngl lmaooo but she kept talking about her gf and that’s often a red flag for me sooo nothing happened there. i told her she shouldn’t sit around waiting for the day when her gf inevitably leaves her for a man n that’s not healthy etc. she’s also extremely self-hating in general and said a doctor told her that her lesbianism & masculinity are bc she doesn’t have enough estrogen in her body / has too much testosterone and that she should be on hormones to be fixed, which she fully believed.

ALSO the top thing is a whole ass thing in the gulf. there’s many bi & straight men who will literally get away with having gay sex bc they exclusively top 💀 a lot of those tests they use to check if ur gay (so they’ll jail u for it) are specifically testing if ur a bottom. it’s a weird weird phenomenon. and it’s especially weird that there’s this weird culture of even straight men seeking out men bc the society is very sex segregated. im sure some of those men aren’t actually straight but it’s such a prominent thing the way it is in prisons in the US that im sure many of them are. craziest part is this culture is most prominent in saudi of all places

omg when i was little i had mainly male friends bc idk girls thought i was a weirdo that stared too much at them or sth. and i was v close to my male friends, we’d hold hands n all but i think we both thought nothing of it. and my mom would be like “omg soooo cute my daughter has a boyfriend omg 🤗 she looooves the boys omg and they love her!!!” meanwhile im 5 years old and just thinking of it like holding my brother’s hand

I might have misunderstood and in that case I’m sorry but..how does jm or jk liking feminine stuff regarding their appearance or interests or else have anything to do with gender? I guess it’s probably me watching all those debates (I’ve seen this discussed on twitter multiples times) from a non-westerner and old-school lesbian perspective if I may say but this western genderqueer thing doesn’t make very much sense to me. You can be a guy and like so-called feminine stuff, or like to play with both masculinity and femininity. It doesn’t you any less of a guy, doesn’t make you a woman or an in-between, it just makes you an androgynous guy or a fem guy and there’s nothing wrong with that. Same goes the other way around. I’m quite masculine in my appearance, also always like more "guy stuff", it doesn’t make me any less of a women. I’m sorry I just don’t get this bigender label. Watching this from afar it seems like what it mean or look like to be a man or woman is becoming very restricted again and you have to fit this and this criteria or else you re queer something ( I know this is also very much debated in the lgbt community nowadays but I just hate that word, it was used as an insult and I personally don’t want to associate myself with it). Now I do think jm and jk gender nonconformity is an indication of them possibly being gay/pi (there’s a link between gender non-conformity and homosexuality/bisexuality) but that tattoo was probably more used an an indication of bisexuality in my humble opinion(I have a bi friend who actually have that sign tattooed, some ppl use it for bisexuality indeed). Sorry if I was a rude or anything (English not being my first language also) but I just see all those new labels in the western lgbt world and it just confuses the hell of me cause it seems sometimes pretty regressive, I just wanted to share my perspective.

Still here? Cool. It's not that we didn't HAVE a whole ass Kinsey scale but it only goes 1-6. Straight. Heteroflexible or Will Experiment At Parties. Bi. Homoflexible or Gay For Play. Gay. Supergay. That's ... what we had, in the day. I'm actually a 2.5 probably. And for years we did, we used numbers if we were smart enough to read the whole damn thing. And gender identity was like, you're cis or you're trans. That was it. And yes. "Queer" was a pejorative. A slur. A word we saw spray-painted on underpasses and sometimes school lockers. "Gay" implied pederasty, practically, but "queer" would get your ass beat in public and not an adult would stop it. And with the advent of the HIV Plague, to which I lost every damn one of the drag queens who raised me, we got even more hate. Girls less than guys, I think, but the history is not a pretty one. You know this. We of Gen X and older are all too aware. For those who have seen "Paris Is Burning" that was kinda my life for awhile, add intensive ballet. And most of those people are dead. What we have now, in the West particularly, is a smorgasbord of options. Literally if we can dream it up someone else already has and there's probably a flag. Like, it makes me feel old and out of touch. I don't even know how to call myself half the time. Am I bi? Pan? Sapiosexual? Demisexual because I don't put out on the first date? There are TOO MANY OPTIONS FOR MY SMALL ASS. I NEED A BETTER ASS TO HANDLE MY DECISIONS. And I see why too many options and too many classifications might almost feel regressive. Like, cis men are not always traditionally masculine beefy guys who like auto racing and American football. Many cis men like pretty things too. Most drag queens are cis men, actually. But femme guys are often seen, now, as other-gendered and not just other-oriented, because that's AN OPTION NOW. And the opposite is true. My cis lesbian BFF looks and acts like a guy. I have had people tell me she seems trans to them. SHE ISN'T. G-Money loves being a woman. She also loves auto racing and weightlifting and American football and her mohawk, let her live, right? Even I really waited for her to come out as trans or at least NB and IT AIN'T HAPPENED YET. She's 47.

I understand the issue of people feeling triggered by the Q word. I do. I get it. And I respect your choice not to use it or have it used at you - if I knew your user name I'd make a note :) And I get how just seeing it feels weird and wrong. I'm getting more used to it, it doesn't bother me as much as it did a few years ago. We used to call it genderfuck and honestly that makes as much sense. Now, to the guys (we're gonna go ahead and call them guys): my reasoning for thinking Jimin might be bigender is because he has all but told us that gender is a fluid construct for him. Yes, he identifies publicly as male, but even in interviews has openly said he feels more comfortable with the feminine parts of his personality in the last few years. That doesn't mean he isn't a man. And he may well be coding bisexuality - the issue there is that he so rarely has even appeared to show any interest in women, and he has openly coded for both sexes as gender (Illecebra and Arcanus). As to Jungkook, I think he's a gay cis male who also likes to feel pretty sometimes. Hell, he and Jimin both could easily fit that descriptor. And that's basically what they've said in public if you leave Filter out of it. But to be fair, these are men who have yet to come out. We forget that sometimes. THEY HAVE NOT COME OUT. Either of them. As far as we can prove they are cis straight men who like to sleep together and stay up all night and go on dates and give each other hickeys and kiss each other and hold hands and have inside jokes about "you are me I am you" and "we don't know what we do but we do stuff" and and and. I mean okay, we're not blind and my Korean source is telling me they are pretty damn open, just nobody talks about it, in Korea. But we have to remember that until they SAY something we can't PROVE anything. I mean until the sex tape leaks. ANYWAY I have blabbered on long enough, but thank you for your words and the transparency you had to share them with me.

start slide two in the beginning of time… there were four gods: eltenjer, he/him, earth; skari, he/him, fire; aenged, they/them, air; thilda, she/her, water. i didn’t /mean/ for them to have genders, but a quiet breeze whispered “psst. i use they/them.” in the beginning? so you mean… they’re not there anymore? kind of! the gods need followers to survive, and after several unfortunate events, they lost the majority of their followers. the aforementioned unfortunate events: the great ruination, in which natural disasters caused several years of famine and other hardship. the restoration era, in which renovation led people to believe they can live without the gods. if the gods are dead, what’s the point? the gods aren’t /really/ dead, closer to dormant. they can’t actively interact with the mortal realm, but IF they had followers, they would come back to life. oh. did i mention that they control the magic. end slide two

start slide three the dormant gods who can't do... anything control the magic??? hey, no one said magic always has to work. foreshadowing alert huge foreshadowing alert. let’s talk about how magic works, shall we :D people use the Spirit to do magic. people have a Vessel (representation of stamina or how much Sprit can be used at once, can be trained!). people also have a Strength (a type of magic that works well with the user, these have varying frequencies which also depends on location). there’s too much i could say here, but the important thing is the main characters’ Strengths. the right depicts an image of a flowchart showing that gods need followers and produce sprit. people need spirit to do magic. end slide three

start slide four okay but where are we??? where could the magic be so fucked? well, here, of course! the left side shows a line art map, split into five parts going clockwise: portingdale, worchester, the hooks, elderwood, unlabeled. the legend shows that there are mountains in portingdale, forests in elderwood, and rivers that run from portingdale to everywhere else. the place where the four labeled regions meet is called the Inner City. the text on the right reads. welcome to Kjer! there are 3 districts. but wait! there are five? sections? and one isn’t even labelled. worchester used to be a district,,, but it left after the war began. the unlabeled section is the disputed region (re: war). let’s talk more about this war. elderwood wanted easier access to water (see: the rivers in the Wetlands) elderwood & portingdale have been fighting there on and off for over half a century. the hooks has three wards: west (hella rich), south (lower income), north (somewhere in between). end slide four

start slide five whomst. skip to the next slide if you want the actual characters. character basics: the unnecessarily-winded-and-cram-a-lot-of-lore-in version. in the North Ward of The Hooks, there are three main gangs. Kaer Styen, meaning “wicked ones”, Ghetfaer Skarnen, meaning “trickster lords”, Ad Knesten, meaning “the grumbles”. that was so many capital letters i don’t like capital letters alskjdflksjd. they have rivalries and conflicts from time to time, but it’s pretty rare. the tww cast is kaer styen !!! their main means of profit is a drug called jezdin. relieves physical and mental pain. lethal in high. quantities/ when tampered with. can also be addictive. they operate out of a dingy tavern-like building, and they live upstairs!!! okay so this is purely for vibes. how did u know. end slide five

start slide six the Gang. literally :3 Kaer Styen, my beloved. the first thing in each of their bios is their Strength (re: the magic slide). artbreeders!!! i fixed quite a few of them, but my artbreeder skills are questionable at best. this slide is split into three columns. the first column shows a white person with short, brown, curly hair and a firm, but not angry, facial expression. len, he/him, pan. Shifter (can manipulate physical properties). cynical, very cynical (because he has killer instincts). “oh people are dying? am i dying? are you dying? why should i care?” in a relationship with cal. the second column shows a person who appears east asian with long, black, wavy hair and fair skin. chloe, she/her, aroace. Chemist (chemistry but magical). literal archery god. also she’s so quiet it’s SCARY. seems welcoming, emphasis on /seems/ she’ll destroy your ass. knows what you’re feeling. she just. knows. the third column shows a white person with dirty blonde hair. they are smiling. cal, they/them, bi. Whisperer (can persuade others through speech/music). so casually funny all your burdens disappear for a hot minute. gets very attached very deeply. grew up in Portingdale which becomes Important later. end slide six

start slide seven cont. also they have piercings!!!! maybe i will make some picrews later (listen, i KNOW i’ve said this before but. maybe i’m for realsies this time, okay?) this slide is also split into three columns. the first a smiling white female with light blonde hair. eden, she/her?, demi lesbian. Healer (healing magic <3). seen hell and doesn’t want others to suffer. still believes in the gods’ existence. we Don’t talk about her awful parents. raised by a lovely woman in the South Ward, known as Nana. this eye (left) is almost PURPLE which i didn’t do on purpose but is honestly such a cool idea. the second column shows a partially smiling black man with short curly hair. jereth, he/him, gay. powerful life magic thing (will be spoilers if i talk any more). joins them at the beginning. honestly kind of scared of them (who wouldn’t be), but wants to live up to expectations. throws himself into stuff to avoid Thoughts. the third column shows a woman with brown skin, black wavy hair, and a small smile. she is NOT a member of Kaer Styen, but i’m talking about her here all the same. adalaide, she/her, bi (i didn’t like the e in adelaide alskdfjlsj). Melder (metals and the like). heir to the Portingdale throne (assuming her dad doesn’t disown her). Cal’s ex from a few~ years ago she’s still a lil’ hung up on them. technically an antagonist but i love her. so all my characters are queer sue me </3 end slide seven

start slide eight some semblance of plot? coming right up!! the four (jereth isn’t there yet!) are attacked in the Inner City. turns out it’s portingdale soldiers. and then they discover that portingdale has been poisoning the southern rivers (affects worchester and the south ward) because worchester doesn’t really contribute to Kjer as a whole. word gets out, and elderwood, naturally, is even angrier at portingdale (remember, they've been at war). so, they try to stop portingdale from being power hungry enough to poison the entirety of a country while learning about why worchester is so isolated while ALSO trying not to get killed by everyone who hates them. end slide eight

That reply to your post was the nail in the coffin for me. I'm absolutely done supporting anything regarding being "non-binary", "enby" or what have you. I'm DONE.

You are not a "transmasc" "non-binary" "lesbian", you're literally just a masculine person.

It fucking disgusts me. It disgusts me that these people have bust their obnoxious selves into gay, bi, and especially lesbian and transgender spaces. I do not give a single rat's ass anymore. Y'all need to sit the hell down and listen to LGBT people when we tell you some of your bullshit isn't gonna fly and is legitimately harming LGBT people and/or our community. I can't stand that NBs are picking and choosing to don LGBT labels for reasons that are NOT valid; reasons that should be corrected, not supported and coddled. But y'all infantilize yourselves to such an extent that people CAN'T take a moment to apply critical thinking and realize how fucked all this is because they are afraid of being labelled anti-lgbt. I can't believe these people have the audacity to march beside LGBT people as if we're at all similar and face the same hate.

It's so annoying. It's tacky. You people literally just inserted yourselves on the ass-end of the LGBT acronym—without any public backlash—solely because you claim to be LGBT. Quite literally circular logic here. "Aha, I can add my valid little self to the end of a community's acronym and I will therefore be part of said community! What do you mean I'm not? Look, my "sexuality"/"gender" letter is right there!"

That said, "Transmasc" as a label should burn; it should be left somewhere dank and dark to rot and be forgotten. It has done so much fucking damage to the public perception of transgender men...as well as gay men and lesbians. Not only does the label itself make no sense ~trans-wise~ (aka: you don't [and can't, in the same way trans men transition from FtM] "transition" to masculinity), people who use the label insert themselves into the transgender community. They equate themselves with trans men. FtM spaces are full of people who say they are not men, but are transmasculine. FtM means Female to Male. You are not FtM if you are NOT a MAN.

TRANS MEN ARE MEN.

You're masculine, not transgender.*

We are NOT the same. Don't you dare lump me and other trans men under your nonsense label because you think all men are inherently masculine. Trans men are MEN. We are not "MASCS". If you see us as equals, YOU are transphobic.

[*Yes, there are cases when an afab person is masculine and also a transgender man. This is the exception here.]

If you're a woman who is exclusively attracted to women, you are a lesbian. If you are not a woman—women being one of the two binary genders—you can not use that label. It is not for you. It does not accurately describe you. It is not yours to claim. If you can't respect that, you need a serious reality check.

“Transmasc” and “transfem” are such harmful labels, I agree that they should burn. They equate masculinity and femininity with being male and female, and make it sound like you can transition to being masculine or feminine.

I want to respond to every point brought up but then I’d be here for days, because you just hit the nail on the head with each point tbh. I encourage anyone scrolling by this to read the whole ask, because it’s GOOD.

What is your opinion on straight passing privilege? I (bi) don’t think it exists, but a close (lesbian) friend of mine insists that it does bc “You can hold hands with your SO (nb cis passing man) in public without risking being the victim of a hate crime.” I have been researching but keep seeing this same argument coming up, and I’m unsure and don’t want to be making anyone upset if I’m being ignorant here.

I think that there's a lot of fucked up internet politics around who is and isn't allowed in the community. Which is ridiculous.

Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Pan, Poly, Ace, Aro, Trans, Intersex, etc.

The only people who shouldn't be in the community are cishets, and pedos, none of that 'it's a sexuality' nonsense, it's predation.

The concept of straight-passing is ridiculous, primarily because it's all based on assumptions. If you're in an m/f relationship, and you are both cis and heterosexual, it's straight.

But here's the catch, if you identify as any LGBPT+ then it's not straight.

Two trans people in an m/f relationship is not straight passing.

Two bi people in an m/f is not straight passing, it's queer babes, it's in the name. If you're bi and your partner is like, straight, it's still queer from your side of the fence.

It's the 'pick a side' argument from another direction, this straight passing nonsense. Where you are villified by the straights if you have a same-sex relationship (or fetishised, let's be real, every part of the acronymn has it's own p*rn category aimed at straight people with a kink), and if you have a relationship with the opposite gendered person, the queer community gets cranky.

Two things:

1) Is this friend between 13 and 25? Bc they could still be working this out or being mentored by t*rfs, or had some bad info. IT could be jealousy or fear of being open where you live. Perhaps you could question what makes her say that; has she had a bad experience, or did someone say this to her. where are you Are you in america? are there snake wielding jesus warriors near you? Blink SOS if you need an escape route, child

2) Who wins when everyone in the queer community is divided and policing one another? Telling everyone off for dating this person or that person or not at all

I didn't get an invite to the big queer conference to make these decisions, so like, they're not valid. It's some pocket of internet active idiots who think they can speak for everyone.

What we need to do is stop pulling this bullshit on one another and get back to asking just why the fuck it's not okay for people who are perceived as not-straight or cis etc to hold hands in public.

There's a problem for every facet of the acronym, babes and dudes and theys. Lesbians are heavily sexualised by straight cis dudes. Gays are heavly fetisihed by straight cis women. to the point where even saying 'I'm gay' is considered to be an obscene, sexual act that you should not let children be exposed to.

And there's always someone from the opposite gender who thinks they 'are confused' or 'haven't met the right (gender) person yet', or 'they could fix them with their magic genitals' or mumbled religious nonsense. There's such intense stereotypes that people can't stand women who look butch, but also you can't 'really' be a lesbian unless you are' or gay men can't just be, like, a normal dude, instead of some flamboyant in-your-face charicature.

Of course people who match the stereotype exist, too. And they get no respect for fitting into the stereptypes either, it's just another reason for disrespect. There's no winning.

Bi's can't talk to anyone without hearing a question of a threesome come up or being attacked from either side for coice of partner.

Pans, same, but also kitchenware jokes. Both Bi and Pan are considered sluts and whores and can't decide or are going to cheat, etc. Or the 'you're being special snowflakes', 'choose a side', 'you're secretly gay and won't admit / you're secretly straight and want attention' etc.

Ace/Aro - everyone under this banner gets the whole 'you just haen't found the right person' or 'when you're older/you're a late bloomer' or 'how do you know?' or 'maybe you're straight/gay and haven't worked it out yet?' invalidating them completely and trying to push sex onto them. The queer community has always let Ace and Aro in under the Bi banner, and they are welcome. But the internet community, usually young people, are tearing each other to shreds over it lmao.

Chill.

Non-binary, trans, intersex. They have been here for ages, but people from one community try to destroy their credibility, despite them existing since humanity has. It's big on p*rn and fetish sites too, lot of straight dudes think these things are hot and sexy, but would spit on trans people in the street. Hypocrites (I mean, every second low-brow comedy movie out there makes a thai-l*dyb*y joke, and how it 'doesn't count' like yikes).

Nb has only just been recognised, which is funny bc society literally made up gender and the rules and pretended that was how its encoded in DNA lmao.

Transpeople have it bad though. Between the cis straights, the cis queer community (primarily t*rfs and those who fall for misinformation) and the fetishists, and the medical community who treats them like an illness rather than people. Like, they are afforded respect if they 'pass', but even then it's still an EW factor.

Transwomen are seen as 'men in dresses who want to break into women's spaces' and treated horrifically; assaults are very high. Transmen are seen as butch women, and 'gender tr*itors' by the Crazy Motherfuckers we mentioned before; their assaults are high. They're not considered Real People unless they meet the ridiculously high standards for each gender; unless they perform Right.

I remember, but did not understand at the time bc I recall i was little, that there was a gameshpw bachelorette style and there was a big twist. You know what the twist was? That the bachelorette they'd been dating and trying to win over... was trans. I don't think that she knew it would be the big twist, either; of the two men remaining, bother were angry and one might have been sick. Might be on youtube.

But like, that's funny to the non-queer community. They put a huge fucking target on this woman's back, put her in danger of being hurt, abused, killed, by anyone who watched it. By the men who she had 'lied to' as they chose to frame it, of their weird white american families who could have sought revenge. Like yikes.

And intersex people (called h*rmaphrodites for a long time even by medical personnel) were also a p*rn category and/or medical curiosity for centuries. Not to mention all the cases of parents who just went with 'make them a (specific gender)' if there was mixed presentation, at birth, and got mad at the kids for being like "Hey so, you flipped the coin wrong and I'm ___" even thought the potential for this was always on the cards.

And the parents often make a big messa bout how their baby ___ is dead and gone, even if they DO accept the person/child as who they really are. It's like, I get it they have changed but you didn't mourn their first haircut or lost baby tooth like this and that was change too, chill.

Straight-passing is a projection and a weapon. Like, is it the people in the relationship's fault that society looks at the pair and decides they are m/f, straight and cis? Nah, it's what people are conditioned assume and that's on them.

We can't bring it into the queer spaces and keep perpetuating that shit, because it's nonsense. Queer people are dying in other countries and your friend wants to being smart-assed about the fact you hold hands with your nb datemate in public?

Nonsense. That's right up there with t*rfs and the gold-star bullshit that was going on for a few years there. Probs still is among the younger people lmaoooo.

'Passing priviledge' is a myth, and it is used to hurt people. Vulnerable people and those who need support / guidance and assistance from their queer communities more than ever. So try to talk to your friend or try The Whole Friend disposal services, either way, chill.

The real issue here is that any of us are at risk of a hate crime for daring to even show affection in public. That even in safe spaces, 'allies' and those wise enough not to be openly homo/trans/bi/pan/ace/aro/other phobic are still side-eyeing you and wanting to talk 'for you' without listening to the community itself.

We have bigger issues than this, and your friend (and some others on the internet) need to get a grip and prioritise.

Ok so like. Honestly? I think the tramp stamps are getting way too much hate for what they deserve. I'm kind of conflicted about this because on the one hand, I'm not the hugest fan of their music. Kinda neutral on it. Idk punk/pop punk isn't really my jam (i of course do respect people's right to like it! u do u!). And there is undeniably some problematic stuff surrounding the band. The famous lyric in id rather die which has been repeated over and over can be interpreted as tasteless considering they're an all white band. Or wearing dollskill which is kind of a bougie brand and is problematic itself. And of course marisa (allegedly, not sure of the validity of the screenshots) said the n word like years and years ago. While she did apologize in the text post they released like an hour or two ago, i think she could address it on her own in a better way so that it's not caught up in the whole long ass thing. However. So much of the hate they've been getting is just so weird and aggressive. Like just screaming "plant plant plant" over and over again when ppl who personally know the band members and the members themselves have said "we had industry backing yeah, some of us already worked at a label, but we weren't created by a label and we did actually come up with this idea on our own." Just literally a lie. And there's definitely a ton of misogyny and queer erasure - saying that marisa can't call herself gay when she's not lesbian (???) which is super fucking biphobic, and also basically throwing so much shade and invalidation on bi/pan/queer women and saying they shouldn't be allowed to have complicated feelings towards or even some hatred of specifically cishet men because they're still attracted to them. And there's so much worse music out there, there's literally men singing about taking advantage of women and no one gives a shit. Ugh it's so infuriating! I don't get why ppl can't just. Not like certain music. Or a song. Or a band. It's literally not that hard, ppl are allowed to have opinions and not have to ruthlessly slander someone they don't like. how are you gonna pretend to be inclusive of all sexualities and then post some panphobic ish bruh. i know this is gonna sound like some random ass rant you didn't ask for but like lemme preface this by saying... i'm bi. who cares if people call themselves pan? i'm of the belief that bi and pan are functionally similar and it really just comes down to which you prefer. the "hearts vs parts" argument is bullshit, i agree, but man, how are you just gonna publicly announce you're panphobic like that? anyways. you don't have to answer this, i know i'm literally just an internet stranger. but like... idk man. it just kinda sucks to know you're someone who my pan friends wouldn't be able to just exist as themselves around.

People are free to identify however they want, and I (mostly) don’t care if you ID as pan, and certainly won’t tell you you can’t, but I would like you to reflect on why you use it. Half of the people are in the camp that it means the exact same thing as bisexual, the other half insist that pan is more inclusive. Which is it? If it means the exact same thing and comes down to preference, what informs your preference? Is it just more fun to say or you like the flag colors better? If that’s the case then more power to you, it’s a cool color scheme, and this decision is evident that it really truly just is a preference. If you can’t define why you prefer it, could it possibly be a misunderstanding of bisexuality and bi history?

The expansion of labels beyond LGBT have generally been to serve one of two purposes, to expand a definition or narrow it. For example, trans as a label technically includes nonbinary people, but trans also includes binary trans folks, so a label to specifically reference not being the binary was formed. Nonbinary technically encompasses labels like genderqueer, agender, genderfluid, bigender but each term describes a more specific experience. Your identity is in flux, or you specifically ID with two genders, or no gender. There are of course potential issues with the need to find hyper-specific boxes for identity and the possibility of further fracturing community vs solidarity, but that is a whole other discussion.

When it comes to pansexual, or omnisexual, what is the purpose of these terms if they mean exactly the same thing as bisexual? To further the point, a sexuality emerged to describe an attraction to feminine people, which is specific. Recently the term was called “finsexual” after the previous label for it was called “gynesexual.” Gynesexual and its counterpart androsexual had battles over whether the label meant an attraction to femininity/masculinity or, as it was often used, attracted to people with specific junk in their pants. I have not seen discourse over these labels in years, but it drummed up a bit of attention in the day when gynesexual was used as an excuse for cis lesbians to exclude trans women from their “attracted to women” label.

If pansexual is considered to mean exactly the same as bisexual, why when a post is made about bisexual people do I frequently see, “what about pansexual?” If it means the same would you not already be included by a reference to bisexuality? So if it doesn’t mean the same thing or is slightly different, how is it different? “Hearts not parts” bisexuality already covered that. “Gender isn’t a factor in my attraction” already true for many bisexuals. “Bi means men and women and not nb or trans people” first, trans people are often men or women, second, bisexuality already included people of other genders beyond the binary. “Well I like ALL genders” again, bisexuality already included this.

The desperation for many pan and omnisexual folks to distance themselves from bisexuality is always going to come off to me as suspect. What about bisexuality is so unappealing to you if you really hate the label? Reflect on that. If there really truly is no difference and it comes down to a preference, where does the discourse come from? Why do I constantly see “pan is better” “pan is more inclusive” “all bi people are actually pan”? In what way is it more inclusive than an already inclusive label? Queer as a term has been adopted to be a more inclusive label, because it can encompass bisexual folks AND lesbians and gay men. Gay as a label was adopted as an encompassing term because it was used toward people regardless of if they were women or if the person was attracted to more than just their gender. What does pansexual or omnisexual add?

The positive answer is that it comes down to wanting to feel unique. There are dozens of labels that don’t mean anything or aren’t separate from already existing labels and functions to just add extra flare. In that case there’s certainly debate again about isolating from other labels and the potential for fracturing community, but on its face it is harmless. It’s just people playing with labels, just having fun, making shit up and trying stuff out. Well and fine.

The less positive answer is that it is used out of ignorance about bisexuality. At that point, I begin to wonder what else you have no idea about. This is not unique to pan discourse, there is so much Very Online bullshit that emphasizes an absolute lack of understanding of queer history and/or a disregard for easily accessible education on the topic. “Gay doesn’t include more than men” “Queer is only a slur” “camp is a slur” “You need dysphoria to be trans” etc etc.

So every time someone tells me they are pan I wonder about the thought process behind the decision. What camp are you in with this label? I once used the label myself, out of mistaken assumptions about bisexuality. The same as everyone I know personally who used to ID as pan and now no longer do. I do not think that everyone who uses pan is an active biphobe, but I do think many are basing it on misconceptions. People are gonna continue to use whatever labels tickle their fancy, and I know discourse isn’t going to see the end of any particular label as many will dig in their heels from confrontation, change the definition, or are just vibing with the label not paying any attention to the discourse surrounding it. Kinda envy the last group.

I do not care what you call yourself, you can use whatever terms you think fits, I just want people who use pan to ask

They should make blacksun canon anyway. The bees don't deserve it, queerbaiting or otherwise. It sets a bad precedent for others to follow. Also I've been stung too many times too give a shit about the toxic fandom's accusations or hurt feelings. OR make blacksun sink and have it be the worst case scenario, really rub it in our faces and poor salt on our wounds. I'd rather go for these options than settle for a half assed lukewarm outcome that stinks of non commitment and cowardice. Bring it on!

Look, I get your bitterness on this subject, but this isn’t something I can agree with. I too have been really frustrated with the more toxic bumblby shippers, and I’ve seen a lot of bad and biphobic comments. I’ve been rattled by so many comments saying that people shouldn’t ship Blake with a man, that she’d be less gay if she started dating a man, claiming Blake clearly never liked men, and people calling her a canon lesbian... That kind of thing can be incredibly frustrating and disheartening to hear as a bi woman. But I think there are a couple of important things to remember here.

1. The toxic bumblby shippers like this really do seem to do a very loud and aggressive small (by fandom standards) group, and there are a lot of perfectly fine, welcoming, nice people who ship bb and who have never harassed anyone. I don’t spend a lot of time in the main tags, but I haven’t really seen any hate recently, and a lot of people think the in-fighting is stupid and even call out blogs that are being hateful. A lot of people watch RWBY, and only some of them use Tumblr, and only some of those Tumblr people make it hard and harass people. It doesn’t make your feelings of frustration less valid and it doesn’t make the way people treated you okay, but I just think it’s important to remember that there are more people who would be hurt if CRWBY pulled the rug out from under them like that than just the jerks who think it’s okay to attack others over cartoon ships.

2. This isn’t just about a ship and if they’d be frustrated by a couple they like not being canon, this is about the queer community and the fact that they’ve been capitalized on for monetary gain over and over again while being given crumbs, only to realize they were just getting strung along. I’m a part of the queer community, and it sucks. It’s not just Bumblby here, it’s about CRWBY having promised the queer community much needed representation. To pull the rug out from under not only toxic bb shippers, but literally the whole of the LGBTQ+ community watching the show for the sake of making a point would be just awful, and it’d make other people feel like they can get away with it too. Maybe CRWBY did just give into fandom demands when they started to make bb canon, but to walk back on it now would be total bull, and I wouldn’t stand for it. How I feel about the ship (I don’t like it) and the toxic fans (I wish they’d shut up) pales in comparison to how I’d feel if I found out yet another show tried to string me and other queer people along for eight seasons only to dump us after they thought they’d gotten enough money. That’s the current bad precedent that RWBY has already followed too much (not giving bb the same kind of confirmation of romantic intent in eight years that they gave all their starting opposite sex relationships in the first two seasons.) That would enable the bad precedent to continue further, and other people would follow.

3. There are toxic people for every ship in RWBY. You see more toxic blacksun shippers then let’s say, Monochrome, because BlackSun has more content and therefore appealed to more people. But Bumblby is the biggest ship in the show and the numbers of fics written for them on ao3 is a huge number. There are more toxic bumblby shippers probably by pure volume, and they shouldn’t get to ruin it for everyone else. But if we were stopping all ships that had a number of toxic and mean fans, I hate to say it, but blacksun would have to be canned too. I’ve seen the ‘people only ship bb because they’re gay women’ posts. I’ve seen the ‘It’s like they’re shoving gay people down my throat’ posts. I’ve seen the ‘they’re pretending Blake likes women all of a sudden but she liked men so which is true’ posts.

Look, I don’t ship bumblby and I sure hate the way it’s been executed. But the bottom line is I’ll take a ship I don’t like over giving the whole LGBTQ+ community the middle finger. I get why you’re mad at the bumblby community, but this is just how I feel about it.

crazy shit that happened during high school

freshman year:

my favorite teacher (pe coach) ended up being a pedophile. it’s kinda scary to think about bc like,, that was my favorite teacher and i trusted him and if he tried anything with me i don’t think i would’ve stopped him and just yikes. but yeah, it was a whole thing. once the school found out they got the police involved and he fled the state. they got him in the end but i mean,, i spent a lot of time in the secretary’s office crying about it bc i really trusted that dude and i was distraught over it. that might’ve been where my trust issues started??? fun stuff

my school shut down. like i mean,, bc it was a charter school and we had to get the charter renewed. but the board at my school wasn’t using their money the way they were supposed to. it was a whole thing, like the principal left that school year bc he knew what was happening, couldn’t stop them from doing it, and didn’t want to be part of it. so they had a lot of meetings that us kids were allowed to go to so we could see what was happening and all that. i only went to one and it was A Time bc the lady who was recording everything passed tf out and of course nobody was a doctor and my pipsqueak thirteen year old ass went “i know what to do” bc i Did so i had to help her which was a trip in and of itself. but anyways, the school’s charter got denied, and everyone had to transfer, but the district promised that we could go to any school we wanted, not just the one we would have to go to by zip code

sophomore year:

i ended up going to a private christian school. big fucking mistake. absolute disaster. nothing really happened that was crazy by their standards, but it was for me

so they have a house system. think of harry potter, it’s EXACTLY like that. we have points, we have competitions, we have all that extra stuff. it was such a time, like i don’t,, i don’t even know how to explain how fucking weird that shit was

i came out in the middle of class. the principal’s daughter was our sub and she goes “okay so everyone is gonna tell us something that nobody knows about them” so when it was my turn i go “so it’s not a secret and y’all should know this but clearly y’all don’t: i’m not straight”. silence. dead silence. we could hear the class next to us it was so quiet. some girl whispers “i knew it”. another girl leans over and whispers to my friend “i’m so sorry”. principal’s daughter gives me the most threatening, condescending smile i’ve ever seen and goes “thanks for sharing”. i had to come out to my mom that same day bc i told me friends and they panicked on my behalf bc when people found out that they were gay, the principal told their parents. and i was Not about to be outed by the principal. my mom has since told me that the principal never contacted her about it so i came out for nothing but i mean i really like being out so we’re good

so instead of prom, cult school has this thing called “the ball”. sophomores, juniors, and seniors are allowed to go bc there’s less than fifty people per grade so if sophomores don’t come, there’s not enough people. so i went bc my friends were all going and i was like “yeah why not might as well”. three dance lessons. three fucking dance lessons for this stupid ball that i didn’t dance once at. i literally had three panic attacks in the span of an hour at the second one, and then i had swim practice right after. fucking exhausted. felt like i ran five marathons by the time i got home. the last lesson i didn’t do any dancing, just vibed with my friend in the corner. so at the actual ball, same friend and i vibed at the tables the whole time. we went to the bathroom for like an hour and took mirror selfies and tried to make our asses look bigger bc we’re Like That

SO AFTER THE BALL, there was apparently a massive party and there was alcohol and stuff. so my friends and i were blissfully unaware bc nobody liked us bc who tf likes the school sinners. so we walked to get ice cream after in our fucking ballgowns and suits looking like All That. so the principal thought that it was one of us who hosted the party and we were like “??? what party?”. literally almost got in trouble bc the principal thought we were LYING. i told my mom and she takes No Shit, so when the principal called her demanding to know if i went to/hosted the party, she marched her ass down to the school and was like “i know y’all have something against mexicans and people who are different from y’all, but that’s no reason to blame my daughter for something that your so called “perfect” students did”. my mom got Heated, roasted the fuck out of the principal, then LEFT. principal never fucked with my mom after that

so there was a fire like across the street from the school. the fd told us to evacuate, but noooooo the school was like “god will protect us” i’m like “okay but i’m gay and apparently your god hates that so i think we’re gonna Perish”. the fucking POWER went out and they STILL wouldn’t let us go. my mom called to sign me out so i could go wherever the fuck i wanted in the school until my friend’s dad came to pick us up bc she couldn’t get there bc of the fire. so i vibed next door to my friends’ class and i was like “heeeeey god’s trying to kill the gays” and we laughed about that until my gay ass got saved lmaoooo

okay so this is the funniest memory i have. in chemistry once, our teacher took us outside and started digging a lil hole next to the school. and keep in mind, my chem teacher used to be a hardcore atheist druggie, like fucking meth and coke and shit. took a theology course and converted. so he’s really sweet and nice but he’s also Slightly mad scientist vibes. so anyways, he puts something in this little hole, lights it on fire. i forgot why he did it, but i was standing back with him and one of the exchange students and the three of us watch in Horror as the rest of the class makes a circle around the fire and start doing some weird dance and saying something. it wasn’t like a chant, idk what to call it, but they were like counting like “and one, and two, and three, and four” and then the dance would get more intense and they’d get louder. so eventually they were screaming and going apeshit and i looked at my teacher and he’s just,, watching them do this. i’m like “and i’m satan, huh?”. like these kids really trying to summon the devil but i’m the bad one bc i like girls

junior year:

so technically this was during the summer but i’m putting it here. they have like a house party after the school year ends. i made cookies. apparently they “looked weird” so nobody ate them, two of my soon to be teachers kept insulting them. i called my mom to pick me up, took my cookies with me, got back in the car in tears. had to have a whole conversation with the principal and those two teachers so they could apologize bc i wanted to leave the school after that. dw tho, i took my cookies to the guards at my summer camp and they appreciated the hell out of them bc they were Very Good Cookies

so my ap bio teacher was an enabler. i was his favorite bc i wasn’t a religious nut and it was very obvious that i believed in science and not whatever the hell this cult was doing with their creationist bs. also he was a parasitologist and i’m super into parasitology so he had fun talking about it to someone who both understood and was extremely interested in the topic. i rolled up to class one day like “hey so i’m gonna buy hissing cockroaches from amazon, if my parents find out and don’t let me keep them do you want them??” and he’s like “yeah”. i brought them to class a few times and everyone Hated it but my teacher was like ayyyyy. and everyone thought he was either and atheist or agnostic, so when some girl asked how he thought mary conceived jesus to see what he said, he looked at me like “y’all hear somethin/hel p” and i go “parthenogenesis” and he Went With It, talking about how it was theoretically possible in humans but we ignored the fact that the baby would’ve been a girl bc the class is dumb none of them have ever heard of parthenogenesis before jesus is the true trans icon we all need

my art teacher was my favorite and she knows that i’m gay. she’s the only teacher from my school that i’m still in contact with. so every big project we did, i made it gay. and i knew, and my friends knew, and she knew, but the rest of the class had no idea. i’m like presenting my project and the class would get sus and they’re like “so are those two really good friends” and i’m like “so she has a rainbow heart on her choker and she has a lesbian symbol on her shirt”. the class was still confused and my friend yells “they’re LESBIANS”. it was iconic

my brit lit teacher was bi. she never said it, but i know she was. always talked about how much she hated men, then was like “women are very very good”. no way this woman was straight. so we read dracula and it’s got that Subtext, so one time i leaned over to my friend bc he sat next to me and i go “the Homoerotic Subtext”. and i didn’t realize that the teacher was right in front of me until she tapped my desk and goes “it gets better”, told me a page number that i flipped to, and it was Even More Gay and i was like 😏. also she assigned me a gay poet for my poetry project and i talked about that for my whole presentation in front of the class and it was the biggest paragraph in my essay and i got 100% on it even tho i choked at the beginning. also i mentioned in passing that i liked sappho and she goes “ooh i love sappho” i’m like “ma’am please leave this cult and get you a gf”

senior year:

i left the cult finally. went to the one school i actually liked. i made friends who actually like me and they were patient and they were amazing and i love them all very much even if i’ll never tell them. my classmates were great, v friendly, i had a great time. however,

so many fires. school got cancelled like five times bc of how bad the fires were

I’m Ghanaian American. My parents were born in Ghana and I was born here in the US. I’ve seen it more on twitter and tumblr, but Black Africans don’t like me because I’m American, and black Americans don’t like me because I’m African. So I’m stuck in the middle lmao. I’m what you’d consider a First-Generation African, my parents are Continental Africans, and if I have children, they will be considered Generational African Americans.

First Generation African: A black person born in the US to parents who were born in Africa

Generational African American: A black person born in the US to US-born black parent(s)

Continental African: A black person born in Africa to parents who were also born in Africa

Non is just a prefix, black people don’t have a monopoly on the term! I suppose you think nonbinary people are racist huh?

Yeah sure it wasnt coined by black people but the context it’s currently used as was predominantly used by black people. ALL people who are not black benefit from and contribute to antiblackness, even if they are marginalized themselves. That kind of dynamic doesnt exist in other contexts (unless we’re talking about transfem + transmisogyny, but that’s something you’d have to talk to someone who is transfem about. Plus they have their own word for “non-transfem”). Using it in contexts outside of antiblackness is appropriative (Yall are annoying as fuck with the “non-aspec” “non-lesbian”(this term also has anti-bi roots btw) “non-bi” shit etc, stop it. You also can’t complain about the “replacement terms” lumping yall with oppressors when “non-x” does the exact same thing you’re so worried about. “Cis” puts cis gays with cis hets, cis disabled people with cis abled people, cis white people with cis poc, I could go on.)

Plus we’re talking about marginalized groups here. Black people are a marginalized group. Binary people as a whole are not so the term nonbinary isn’t appropriate at all. I dont take issue with terms like “nonamerican” or “nonwhite” because (obviously) whites + americans as a whole aren’t oppressed for being white or american.

Basically using "non-x” in contexts to talk about oppression bad, everything else good.

Follow up: If we can’t use non-[marginalized group], what can we use instead?

non-LGBT- cishet, or people who aren’t LGBT

non-trans - cis

Is x AAVE?

I have a tag dedicated to what is and is not aave and how harmful it is for nonblacks to use aave given its history. I know some things overlap with southern culture but others are specifically for black people. A lot of “stan twitter” language/slang is just repackaged AAVE. No, I can’t tell you how to stop using AAVE. Don’t tell me you’re going to try to stop using AAVE, I don’t want to hear it.

Why don’t you like the n-word being compared to LGBT slurs?

Race and Sexuality/Gender aren’t comparable topics because each deals with a different history of oppression. I don’t care about slur discourse that much because I don’t even use/reclaim any myself except the n-word.

I have a problem with nonblack LGBT people co-opting black culture and struggle(like they always do), especially for trivial online discourse.

And to be honest it goes deeper than slur discourse. Every other day someone is weaponizing the oppression of black trans women, or comparing “cishet aces/aros” in the LGBT community to white/nonblack people invading black spaces (you know, something that ACTUALLY takes resources away from the people who need it, see the cultural appropriation of Black African and Blac American culture in literally any nonblack community while black people get demonized for said culture), or tokenizing their black friends to get away with something blatantly racist. And that’s not even getting into how a lot of gay slang/stan culture is just repurposed AAVE/black culture.

And I’m not gonna lie, I’ve seen this more with exclusionist accounts than inclus accounts, but it’s still not excusable for inclus to do that either. We get erased as black gay/trans/queer/aspec people up until it’s time for discourse accounts to bring us up to one-up each other

Can you give me advice on x?

Most likely not, because I’m not an expert or an advice blog. I’ll try, but don't take my word for it. I’m also tme, able-bodied, not Jewish, singlet, etc, so I’m not able to accurately answer questions about transmisogyny, (physical?) ableism, antisemitism, “sycourse”, etc.

I might be able to give advice on school-related stuff since I just graduated high school, but remember that students are not a monolith, and what worked for me may not work for someone else.

Yeah, yeah, people aren’t entitled to personal information and all that crap but I have a serious problem with people speaking on topics from a place of privilege. Not to say they can’t talk about those things, just perhaps add a disclaimer that you’re privileged when talking about these things and be open to criticism, and NOT blocking people of the said marginalized group when they tell you something you’ve said was problematic.

I also have a problem with people who are intentionally vague about their age. There’s a difference between interacting with someone who’s 20 and someone who’s 29. I don’t want to say it’s the opposite for minors but at the same time there’s a difference for saying something racist at 13 and doing so at 17, and keeping your age vague makes it harder to determine how to deal with something like that. (Not that 13-year-olds shouldn’t know better, it’s just I don’t feel whole ass callout posts and receipt blogs are necessary for someone of that age).

Also anyone under 16, I can't stop you from following, but keep your interaction limited, please. This isnt an 18+ blog but I do rb suggestive jokes from time to time

Hello Niu! I have a question. On tumblr and AO3 I see a lot of girls (probably) writing yaoi/slash fiction and do similar art. Much less amount is devoted to heterosexual relationship and least of all - to lesbians and bi. I know it’s just from fandoms I’m in but it’s statistics. Moreover, the amount of OCs involved in creations is very rare. Why? We, as women demand for more female leads and characters but we ourselves fail to create ‘em and direct our attention in mlm relationships instead

I must say that I’m not VERY deep in fanfic scenes anymore. I haven’t actively read fanfics in a decade, and I picked up just last December and now there’s only 1 fic and 1 other author I follow.

What I can think about for reasons why this is:

Glorification of gay stuff, mainly because media wont really giving as much backstory, characteristic, emphasis etc. to female characters as to male characters. Thus, it is easy to form gay ships, because you know the male characters better and are thus more emotionally invested with them. I just saw in Twitter a post stating that shonen manga is dedicated for men, but they usually fail to give any personality, backstory etc, for their female characters, which turns all shonen male relationships more or less homoerotic. We have lots of these unnoticed rules in life; like a mother is the one who looks after the kids while dad is - at best- just mom’s little helper. This makes fathers, who are dedicated to their children and family like they should be (after all, the child is also theirs), and single fathers almost holy. In reality, father is just the other parent and should not be dismissed not glorified as a parent.

Tumblr’s toxic mentality like bi-erasure and such spreading around, making young ones afraid to make mistakes and life the wrong way. I’m not unfortunately too deep into this either, but what I know, female bi-erasure seems to stem from “ALL MEN ARE BAD AND EVIL, YOU ARE EITHER ON OUR SIDE AS A LESBIAN OR YOU ARE AN ENEMY!!! YOU CAN’T LOVE MEN!!!”-toxic mentality.

WE HATE MEN, WE HATE HETERO!-mentality also causes so much horrible stuff like, I don’t get it??? What’s wrong with being hetero or bi? Absolutely nothing! There are horrible people and toxic masculinity is a thing, but for the love of God, there are wonderful men, too - and if you ask me, we need more positive masculine men representation in media. If we had more positive masculine men in media, maybe women felt more comfortable writing about hetero and be-stuff? Question mark there as I don’t know if that would be the case. Would I mind to see more positive masculine representations like Batman, Sláine and Ken Kitano? Men who respect women, life, protect weak and play with fair rules with everyone? Men who use whatever they have for the benefit of others and the community? Men who are soft and gentle without those natural human traits dimming their manliness? Absolutely not!

I don’t know why lesbian fics aren’t the thing. Perhaps it is a) the lack of female character’s backstories etc. over male characters and b) lack of readers?? IDK really.

Mary Sues have been grimaced over as long as I have been in the different fandoms. Which is, frankly, absolutely ridiculous. When people are afraid to self-insert and create OCs, they bend their favorite characters into their own representation. That leads to absolutely unnecessary fandom wars and also OOC fics, where the character X is almost unrecognizable because it is just the authors OC/self representation in disguise. There have been many fics I have not been able to read because the character or characters were so much of author’s self-insert of themselves and I couldn’t connect with them. With OCs, it would have been a different story, literally and figuratively. (is that wrong to bend characters into self-insert? No. Can people write however they want? Yes. Can people “own” the characters as “This is like me so don’t disagree with what they do or be because then you are attacking me personally!”. No. Like, find representation, yes, but remember that character X is not you or yours. Only your OCs are yours and you have power to tell others what you want with them or not.)

Because OCs are very personal and readers have no emotional connection to them, many skip OC fics because of this. It’s a shame and doesn’t really encourage anyone to write, as writers need audience and feedback. OC fics can be as entertaining as canon fics. There’s still one Soul Calibur OC fic I read in 2003 and I still remember it with fondness because it was adorable.

Then there’s the whole fandom police movement, which is just one way to control (young) women. Show your middle finger and ass for them and write whatever you want!

My few cents here.

My best advice is; make the content YOU want to see. You never know if it encourages others to do the same.
