You were just minding your own business, walking down the streets of New York. You were on your lunch break, sipping your macchiato coffee from Starbucks. It was a nice day out and you were enjoying yourself until... You heard something that made you stop dead in your tracks. You weren't sure what it was at first but then the more you listened, the more you realized how familiar those sounds were to you.

Paying attention in front of you was Billy... Billy from Billy on the Street. A show you were obsessed with, and with Billy was none other than Chris Evans. And they were coming straight towards you. You must have looked like an idiot, with a 'deer in the headlights,' look on your face. But luckily for you, both men noticed you and you couldn't find a way to escape. Chris Evans grinned widely when he caught sight of you.

Why did he have to be so darn gorgeous? His hair was all done, and his beard looked flawless. He wore black jeans, a white button-up shirt, and sneakers... Everything about him screamed perfection. His eyes were piercingly blue, almost hypnotizing. They met yours for only a second before turning away, looking back at Billy on the Street and smiling.

"Hey!" Billy called out to you. "Team Cap or Team Iron Man?" Bringing his mic towards you.

Half shocked out of your mind, and the other thinking you may be dreaming or drank too much coffee, you felt like a fish out of water.

"Team cap, obviously." You answered quickly without even hesitating.

He chuckled. "Oh man, look at that! You are in luck because Chris Evans is here with me today!" Billy spoke.

You laughed, "Yeah, I've noticed."

Chris Evans then walked up to you and reached forward with his hand to shake yours. Instantly your heart fluttered, and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. You moved your drink to the other and took Chris's hand, shaking his hand. It was like you were floating through space, and the stars were dancing around you.

"It's very nice to meet you," Chris said smoothly.

Your voice came out slightly breathless, "Likewise."

His voice was deep and husky, while his eyes were bright and sparkling. You felt a warmth radiating from within him like no other person had ever radiated. Your palms tingled and your entire body was on fire. You wanted nothing more than to feel his touch again… Man, this was weird. Just looking into his eyes, you felt like you had this… Connection. 

Was that stupid of you to think that? He was a celebrity, an actor. And, you… You were just a veterinary assistant, working your nine to five to get by in life. You weren’t this overly special person deserving of the Chris Evans’s attention.

But, then again, if he was going to talk to you, there was no way you were saying no to the operatunity. 

Chris smiled at you, noticing your flushed cheeks. It was true, he thought you were very attractive. He had thoughts so the moment he saw you minding your own business, drinking your coffee. Chris knew you must have been starstruck by his presence. Who wouldn't? He was Captain America. But, Chris wasn't vain, he had his own insecurities and issues. He didn't want anyone to think he was arrogant or conceited because of his good looks. So, he tried not to act like he was better than everyone else.

Chris then released your hand and turned to Billy. You then introduced yourself to Billy, as you did so, you felt Chris staring at you intensely. Noticing this, Billy turned towards him, "So, Chris, what do you think of our little lady here?"

Chris's smile faded a bit and he looked down at you. "She seems lovely."

Billy smirked, "Yeah, she does. She definitely has a thing for you doesn't she?"

Your face went red, eyes wide. "What?" You asked Billy, feeling a shiver run through your body.

"I can tell. I mean, who wouldn't? You're cute as hell, and I can just feel that connection between you two." Billy said.

You were definitely embarrassed, why would Billy say that? You didn't know whether to laugh it off, or get mad at him. This was on his show, you doubted that he'd delete it, good comedy and all that. But before you could even say anything, Chris stepped forward.

"Could... I, uh, get your number?" Chris asked with a nervous tone.

You stared at him dumbfounded. "Excuse me?" You asked, confused.

Were you hearing, what you thought you were hearing?

You chuckled breathlessly, "Um, yeah, sure." You said, still unable to process what was happening.

Chris nodded and pulled out his phone. He handed it over and you were basically speechless as you typed in your number, and passed it back to the actor. You then pulled out your phone; feeling it buzz, seeing that you had received a text from Chris. You automatically changed his name.

‏@CaptainAmerica: Hi, it's Chris. Want to hang out sometime?

Billy sighed dreamingly, "Ah, young love... Time to go, Chris! People to see and talk to!" He spoke, dragging Steve after him.

He then bowed his head and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek, before he begrudgingly followed after Billy.

As you watched them walk away, you couldn't believe this had happened. You glanced at your phone and saw Chris's text message. You stared at the screen, reading it over and over again. Why was he asking you out? Did he really like you? You pressed send on your phone, typing in a response.
