Watching Eddie Begins with Buddie-colored glasses on is already crazy enough, but I just caught something that I never really thought about before. Athena tells Bobby that the news crews showing up before she leaves for another call might turn the call into a nationwide story. And then Buck absolutely LOSES it when 30 feet of wet earth falls on top of Eddie. So yeah, maybe Bobby pulls Buck away to stop him from futilely digging for Eddie with his hands, but maybe he also does it because he doesn’t want his kid’s grief and fear and love for Eddie being broadcast across the country. Especially not when Bobby thinks that Eddie’s probably already dead. And not only does Bobby pull Buck away from the well, he pulls back right into his lap. This is the closest we get to Bobby cradling Buck in his arms until the lightning strike, and it’s because he doesn’t want Buck to be in pain, and he most certainly does NOT want the tragedy of Eddie’s death to be made even worse by Buck’s pain over it being broadcast to the entire country.

Okay I was just thinking and I need and I mean I NEED a fathers day episode of 911. Imagine Chris asking buck to help him make a fathers day card for eddie and after he gave Eddie his card he asks Eddie to help him make one for buck bcs he always looks after him. And at the end of the episode you see Bobby walk into his office and on his desk is a fathers day card from buck. While Chris made his card for Eddie buck made one for Bobby.. 🤍

It's heartbreaking that all of the eggs that are going to perma-die from now were so loved, being taken care of almost everyday for months, not just by their parents either, the entire server has come together to raise and protect these eggs, and now every egg life lost hits all of them so hard and I'm so glad everyone was allowed that last 10 minutes with Bobby as well.

Look Buck cooking at the firehouse - being taught by Bobby - bonding and having that father-son moment over a shared interest - one that allows them to show their love for their family (because Bobby is an acts of service guy just like Buck is) is just the greatest thing ever - I cannot tell you how much that scene means to me!

Buck being all golden retriever and trying to impress his father figure and getting to feed the rest of his found family at the same time - literally everything. and then to see him bringing takeout for his parents - the contrast could not be clearer. It also subtly suggests that the outcome for the Buckley parents will be similar to Taylors - its all prepackaged and prepared by others - its shallow and without substance.
