I feel like we all need to draw our fav male characters in this sweatshirt. Like, as a draw meme

Is funny to me how the crew in She-Ra always talks how important is for them to make the cast with body diversity, but them they have three male characters with the same body type
If you pay attention you can notice that Sea Hawk, Bow and Mikha all have very similar body types (broad shoulders, small waist and descent amount of muscle) which is funny for a show that cares so much about representativity
And the LGBT representation seems very disgenuine, it doesn't seem natural like the writers or animators were having fun on making the characters gay, just look like they made them like that for obligation, it doesn't look genuine. And then we have the cultural and racial diversity that is...lacking, to say the least
Like, yeah we have a bunch of characters with different skin tones, but they never seem to be an actual ethiniciy? Like, Catra aparently is supposed to be latina but nothing in her character actually looks latina other than her skin tone and Mermista i guess is indian? I always headcanon her as indian because of that dress she uses in princess prom that looks a lot like a Sari, but we also never see anything in Selinia culture that may indicate that. I know that is a fictional world, but Avatar was able to mix real life culture with their shows lore, so She-Ra could also do the same, the characters would really benefit for that cause would make them more unique and would make Etheria actually look like a planet with different people and countries instead of a fairyland straight out of a child dreams
oh yeah. i've noticed only female characters seem to have some diversity in the body types, while all the male characters look pretty much the same. i guess micah has a slightly wider body than bow and seahawk but it's still not a huge difference. hordak and horde prime also have the “standard male body”. kyle is skinny but that's not really breaking any norms, especially since he's portrayed as a weak loser who doesn't matter to the plot.
it is nice to have female characters who are chubby or muscular or different from the norm, but why can't we also have that for men? (and non-binary people but the show literally only had one enby character so..)
the ethnicity thing is a little more tricky since it's a fantasy story, and a lot of fantasy shows tend to go this route since it doesn't take place in the real world, so for example, we can't really say a character is asian if asia doesn't exist in a fantasy universe.
but yeah, the thing with spop is that the worldbuilding is really poor. we don't get to see much about the cultures of the different places in etheria. if they had taken more time with the worldbuilding and differentiated each culture, we could have gotten a more compelling storyline. other than avatar, the dragon prince also does this pretty well. the different types of elves are shown to have different cultures, ethics and practices. they also show how these cultures sometimes clash with the human cultures and norms, it's pretty interesting.
but yeah, it feels like spop just added diversity for the sake of diversity. it's not that they're interested in representing people of different ethnicities or sexualities, they just did it for the brownie points.

After seeing this lovely and touching fanart of Catra and Adora as old women, I started to think of headcanons of what the other members of the She-Ra cast would be like in their later years:
-Glimmer and Mermista are sassy grandmas, 100%.
-I feel like Catra would mellow out immensely once she'd spent years healing and also gaining the wisdom and life experiences that come with age, but I know she'd still have a mischievous streak, and more than a little bitterness.
-I can also see Adora calming down a lot, but I can't deny she'd have anxiety about getting older and dying. It would probably take her a while to fully make peace with it.
-Bow is totally the friendly neighborhood grandpa who just loves everybody.
-Entrapta intrigues me, because her hair is magic(?) so would it gradually lose its abilities as she ages and goes gray, the follicles dying? Or would the powers remain? Other than that, I can see Entrapta being a kind of "witchy" old woman, but with robots instead of herbal magic, with her extensive knowledge and history of hermit-like behavior and all that.
-Speaking of witchy women. Perfuma. Need I say more? She's a fusion of "friendly old witch" and "yoga lover".
-I can see Scorpia not changing that much, for some reason. She'd definitely be a very interesting old woman, I can say that much.
-Seahawk is still Seahawk, as he always will be. He's the guy who always tells ridiculous stories and swears up and down they're true, and, surprisingly, most of the time they are. It's just that the young people don't always believe him. Because, well, he's Seahawk. It isn't until Mermista vouches for him that they believe him.

SPOP incorrect quotes because I’m bored :)
(Contains swearing/maybe some spoilers)
Glimmer: I’ve decided to let Hordak go with Entrapta. We’ve got no reason nor right to hold him here.
Catra: Why would you do that?!
Hordak: Oh shit, really?
Entrapta: Yay you’re finally leaving me and my husband alone!!
Glimmer, Catra, Hordak: …husband?
*Adora and Catra cuddling.*
Adora: Aww Catra I love you!
Catra: this is not because I like you!
Adora: …Catra, we’re literally married and have a fucking child. You better like me.
Hordak: Guys, can I have my kid back, please?
Lonnie: No way, you left him!
Hordak: I got fucking KIDNAPPED—
Kyle: Nuh-uh, I’m his new mother and Rogelio’s the father.
*Hordak, Lonnie, and Rogelio stare at him, eyes wide.*
Lonnie: Holy shit, did you guys fuck or something? When? I would’ve recorded if I knew-
Hordak: I— I literally created Imp—
Lonnie: So did you fuck someone orrr…..?
Kyle: Was it Entrapta?
Lonnie: OHHHHHH I BET IT WAS—
Hordak, flustered: NO??
Glimmer: Mermista, Seahawk, where were you last night? We had a meeting.
Seahawk: We, um, the ocean was really salty and um, stormy last night…?
Mermista: I was sleeping.
Seahawk: I thought you told me not to tell them?
Bow: Here lies the body of Flutterina. She was a valuable member of the Rebellion.
Glimmer: Bow, “she” was Double Trouble—
*Double Trouble laughs mischievously and jumps in the coffin, shifting into Flutterina. They rise.*
Flutterina/Double Trouble: Boo!
*Bow screams and jumps back with Glimmer.*
Glimmer/Bow: AHHH!!

Continued watching She-Ra today and I have a number of thoughts- Bow and Glimmer just found out that Entrapta is with the Horde now, not just with them but Moved In With Them, and there was exactly the angst levels I was looking for. I'm so glad that Entrapta stuck to her decision, too, and didn't just go "ay whatever I'll just go back to the good side" or something. Looking forward to her becoming more evil. I know in my heart that these characters will definitely get redemptions eventually, and I'm normally a sucker for redemption arcs, but in this case I really don't want them to? I mean, like, I actually don't want Entrapta, Catra, or Scorpia to join the good side, I legitimately 100% want to watch them work together and be the best of friends and destroy Etheria together? And I didn't mention this earlier but I'm glad Seahawk turned out to be a total dunderhead and not the main love interest like I feared he would be. That's good. Frosta is also amazing now that I've met her. But overall, I am basically looking forward to Entrapta's descent into darkness in the pursuit of science.

5, 9, 26 (ask game)
And... About the question about Shera, how do you think each of the characters would relate to their queer identity? Also, what kind of setting would you say best suits each character? (I'm a big fan of questions that depend on personal interpretation about the characters hehe)
5. Do you have any siblings?
i have an older sister, she's pretty much my world!!
9. What's your all time favourite movie/tv show?
my favorite movie of all time is Dead Poet's Society, and I don't think I could choose a favorite show of all time because shows are my absolute favorite, but my top are She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Avatar: The Last Airbender, 911: Lone Star, Station 19, Glee, Supernatural, and Shadowhunters!
26. How many pictures you have on your phone?
as of rn, i have 5,968!
and for the she-ra questions...
How do you think each of the characters would relate to their queer identity?
this is such an interesting question because it's hard to know if queerphobia even exists in that universe, because it's so normalized there and most of the characters are queer, so for them, queerness has never been the "other", but i think that if they were to be exposed to this world and learn about queerphobia here, i think it would be most shocking to Netossa and Spinnerella because they're married so to realize that their marriage wouldn't be condoned here would be very shocking.
I think Adora would be very proud because she's never had "parents". Her entire life has been constructed around the concept of found family, so queerness in that context here would be nothing new to her and would give her an opportunity to connect with her friends even more! I think Catra would be proud, but secretly insecure, but also defiant, because she hides her insecurity behind so many layers of deflection it's hard to tell how she truly feels sometimes.
and Scorpia would definitely be the mom-friend. She would find out that queerness was "bad" here, and immediately start adopting queer kids off the streets and giving them a place to stay because her whole thing is that she is a good friend, and she would wear one of those shirts that's like "free hugs". scorpia would DOMINATE pride parades.
as for Double Trouble, they would 150% be the life of the party at any queer-themed parties. and they would be proud as hell. they know who they are without a shadow of a doubt and they would demolish anyone who tried to make them feel like shit about it lol. i think the only one who would be really insecure about it is kyle, because well.... he's kyle lol
those are the only canonly queer major/major-ish characters, but in terms of my (very correct /lh) headcanons, Bow and Glimmer would be the queerest "straight" couple ever. and since i'm convinced they're in a qpr, they would probably start demolishing relationship hierarchies like. immediately. and since all the good pirates are queer, seahawk would take a modern approach to his...... passion....... and burn every billionaire's yacht
What is each character's ideal setting?
Adora's is just like. Anywhere she could have a sleepover with her friends because she's just so soft lol
Catra's ideal setting is....... wherever Adora is because she's so wrapped around her finger
Glimmer's ideal setting is therapy because this girl needs to process her trauma (bonus if Catra is there too)
Bow's ideal setting is a peaceful meadow. Perfuma's too.
Mermista's ideal setting is sleeping because she's cool like that.
Scorpia's ideal setting is a pride parade giving free big hugs to kids whose parents don't accept them
Frosta's ideal setting is a lazer beam arcade because that girl has some huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge energy
Mara's ideal setting is the end scene in the finale because she would get to see that her bravery and sacrifice was worth it so maybe she could finally have some peace
And Entrapta's ideal setting is being in the lab with her friends

How she ra couldve developed its characters: Mermista
When we first met mermista, she was sarcastic, blunt and carefree/laidback and ended the show the exact same but is dating seahawk now and has a mention of being a leader which never gets brought up again. But with the leader thing, that couldve been the idea for her character arc: Her learning to become a leader. In her first episode, we see her kingdom already struggling:
Tumblr media
Given how we dont see her with any parents/parent figure, she may either have to lead later down in her life for reasons like parental death or earlier with help like the staff she use to have but now, she doesnt have any left. It escalated further when salineas was invaded in s4:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This couldve been why she was determined to being a leader in launch and how she felt when she almost failed as she wasnt able to save salineas, her home and kingdom. However, I do wish her impact of the invasion was explored more such as in boys night out where given how shes reacting, it seems like she just went through a bad day or breakup than experiencing her home kingdom being invaded through her own eyes
Tumblr media
Maybe if we see her hiding under hot tub refusing to leave because she couldnt face salineas invasion and is guilty for what happened until she hears the seagull of seahawk and bow getting caughted by the pirates (For my rewrite, the pirates werent part of the plan, rather would be the boys would try to help salineas while building back respect for mermista as many people in salineas relationship with mermista would defintely shatter after the invasion) Getting her motivated to go out and fix what happened, it wouldve been much better and fit more with what happened with mer mysteries. We couldve also see her be more of a leader such as in perls of peekablue:
Tumblr media
I couldve had her find out peekablue was dt but I think seeing her be more of a leader like maybe giving scorpia some advice to find out about double trouble or make the guys that her an seahawk captured of when they could talk to peekablue or if they know peekablues new conspiracies (since in this rewrite, I would take mjtanners idea of peekablue being a conspiracist that turned out right in the end, hence this party celebrating their brilliance and the alliance here plan to have peekablue either join them or give them more info on horde primes plan to stop him) would work as well. I also would not have her be chipped along with scorpia (seahawk and perfuma would be replaced instead. Mermistas confession to seahawk in the finale wouldve worked better for their romance imo which I'll go in more depth in another post) Mermista and catra being on the same team wouldve been good for both characters, specifically mermista for closure, obviously being angry and distrustful of catra as she was with entrapta but both in the end may be in mutually distant terms with each other even when catra would have to recieve consequences for the salineas invasion such as maybe being banned from the kingdom, to contribute to fixing salineas with guards for the people in the kingdom to feel more safer.
Also we were seriously robbed of a sisterly mermista and frosta relationship. Think of it, mermista would help frosta embrace more of her kid self while frosta would help mermista lead her kingdom, we would also see more of mermistas and frostas character, it wouldve made so much sense.
And thats how she ra couldve develop mermista. Any other ideas for mermistas character would be greatly appreciated

Finn: They are pretending to be priates
Adora: Yes...Yes I think so.
Mermista: Uuuuuuuuuuuugh stop pillaging my docks you two
Glimmer: YARG NEVER!
Catra: Yarg Sea Princess never! Argh!
Seahawk: Adventure
Mermista: Don't encourage them!
I lost it at Sea Hawk. OF COURSE he would get roped into it.

If you wished to elaborate, I'm quite curious about your controversial she-ra opinions 👀
I just wasn’t a huge fan of season 5 - I feel like it had potential but faltered for me. It seemed like all the characters they had chipped outside of Catra were done solely to avoid writing interactions between them all. We didn’t get a big Scorpia and catra talk, we didn’t get as much mermista + seahawk as I’d have wanted, and it’s an absolute shame we barely got any glimmer and Micah reunion. I’m mad we didn’t see more of Razz or Lonnie + Rogelio + Kyle, or Huntara. Didn’t like how Entrapta was treated, especially being put on a leash, it feels really ableist to me. Wish Catra got to cut her hair of her own accord, the fact it was forced hits very close to forced assimilation of indigenous people in America and takes away a lot of her agency - id have loved to see her actually upset over the loss of her hair too. I hated the bit where adora tells glimmer “I’m a puncher I’m not good with emotions” or something to that effect, because it’s so not true; I wish Adora was more hurt after reuniting and Bow maybe a little less.
Definitely the most controversial opinion I have though is I don’t ship Catra/adora, never vibed with me, I prefer them having a more platonic relationship instead. Reminds me a lot of a really bad past relationship I was in so i have to have it blacklisted to avoid being upset by it. It’s whatever, it is what it is, I’m glad people can enjoy the relationship because I can see what they were trying to tell with the pairing and the message would be really important, but it crossed a line for me in terms of my own personal trauma. It’s worse tho cuz the fanbase tends to romanticize the most upsetting parts of the relationship to me, like adora’s scars from Catra or even outright making art of them hurting each other that’s meant to be romantic or sexy. Fanbases always do this shit tho I guess. Anyways i like most ships outside of c/a and Entrapta/hordak but my fav pairing is glimadora which alone is enough to get me pelted with rocks due to the fact there’s some really annoying glimadora shippers (not saying a name but I’m sure you all know who) who definitely stirred the pot. I sure as hell don’t associate with them anymore because I went outside LMAO
Yeah that’s basically it , I wish other she ra fans would learn how to use the block button and leaving rude comments on every character interpretation they hate

Hey hello yb/wybie!
Hot take: Empires smp (s2) characters if they were She-Ra characters! I've had some ideas of what most of them would be but I'd really like your input :P
Here's what I have so far:
Katherine - She-Ra/Adora
False - Huntara (or Mara)
Joey - Seahawk
Shelby - Glimmer
Gem - Perfuma
Lizzie - Catra (purely because of the cat thing but if it was personality based maybe Scorpia instead)
Pix - Entrapta
Jimmy - Frosta
Sausage - Bow
Joel - Swift Wind (I imagine him arguing that flying higher counts as him being taller lol)
As for Scott and Fwhip, I have no idea who they'd be :/
BFNSNFNC ok ive never watched she ra but from vibes alone i agree- however your “i have no idea who theyd be” is hilarious. fuck em actually they dont need to be here /j
entrapta i know of and pix has that vibe however it does make me sad bc i think entrapta is one of the angstiest motherfuckers on that show. also youre BASED for making katherine as adora thats very correct

Raiders Win in Bizarre Play
Tumblr media
The Las Vegas Raiders season has been a roller coaster for all. After acquiring Davante Adams and Chandler Jones in the offseason, many believed that the Raiders would compete for a Super Bowl. To say that the Raiders have greatly underachieved would be an understatement. The Raiders entered this Sunday evening game against the New England Patriots with a 5-8 record. The Raiders had a terrible start to the year when losing to the Chargers, Cardinals, and Titans. The Raiders woes would continue as the Raiders would go 2-4 in their next 6 games. With a 2-7 record the Raiders looked ready to bow out of the playoff picture when they put together a 3 game winning streak which included a monster 303 yard game from running back Josh Jacobs against the Seahawks. With a 5-7 record the Raiders gave fans hope that they could salvage their playoff hopes. However, it would’ve been too simple of a story and in usual rollercoaster chaos, the Raiders blew a 13 point lead to the Rams on Thursday Night which seemingly killed their playoff hopes.
So, coming into this game the Raiders face an uphill battle knowing that they must win every game and hope for some losses. Fortunately for the Raiders, the Patriots are one of the teams in their way that would need to lose for them to gain a spot in the playoffs. The Patriots and Raiders both share 3rd place position in their respective divisions, however the Patriots hold a 7-6 record entering the game which would put them closer to the Wildcard spot that the Raiders coming for.
In typical Raider fashion, the Raiders jumped out to a 17-3 lead at halftime. The Raiders have been notorious this year in giving up big leads as they are the only team to lose 4 games when leading by double digits. And in typical Raider fashion, a pick 6 (interception returned for touchdown) by Patriots linebacker Kyle Dugger immediately shifted the momentum. The Patriots would continue to score and take a 24-17 lead late in the 4th quarter. When Raider fans started to feel defeated yet again, the Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw a beautiful pass to the sideline of the endzone where Keelan Cole of the Raiders caught and barely struck his right foot in bounds. After a long review, referees could not clearly deemed Cole’s foot out of bounds. And without sufficient enough evidence, play stood as a 30 yard Touchdown which tied the game with an extra point.
With a 24-24 game and 37 seconds remaining, Raider fans were still on the edge of their seats. Given the momentum of the Patriots 2nd half offense, it seemed likely that the Patriots could march down the field and kick a game-winning field goal. The Raiders defense was not the best in this situation last week as they gave up a 97-yard drive to Baker Mayfield and the Rams in just 2 minutes.
After multiple incompletions from Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, the Patriots decided to play for overtime. With 3 seconds left, the Patriots call on a draw play which basically means a delayed handoff to the running back to catch the pass defense off guard. The play typically picks up about 7-10 yards, but surprisingly Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson ran for about 25 yards before ever being tackled. With some quick thinking, Stevenson remembered that at any point in football a player can lateral the ball backwards to a teammate to continue the play. Stevenson lateraled the ball back to Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Myers or then inexplicably ran 10 yards backwards in order to evade Raider defenders. With star defensive end Maxx Crosby closing in to tackle him, Myers threw the ball about 20 yards across the field in a lateral attempt to get Mac Jones the ball. Unfortunately for Myers, his throw was off target and went directly into the hands of Raiders star offseason signing Chandler Jones! Chandler Jones received the ball with only one Patriot in his vicinity and it has quarterback Mac Jones. The size difference of the two players is egregiously large as Chandler Jones is 6′5 250 pounds and Mac Jones is 6′3 210 pounds. A quarterback needing to tackle someone is already a difficult task because they usually don’t attempt to tackle in order to stay uninjured. Combine it with a 40 pound difference and you get a once in a decade type stiff arm that sends Mac Jones into the ground! With nothing but green grass ahead of him, Chandler Jones ran 48 yards to the end zone to cap off one of the wildest games and most memorable play ever! The Raiders crowd was stunned and yet ecstatic for what they just witnessed! A play that will likely never be replicated had just saved their season!
After the game Jakobi Myers took responsibility for the mistake on the game winning drive. He said, “I was just doing too much. I should’ve just went down with the ball.” While we can all sit around and say what a bonehead play it was, we should at least acknowledge the way Jakobi Myers handled the situation. Instead of sulking or blaming someone or something else, he took accountability for his lack of judgement on the last play.
The Raiders pull closer to making the playoffs by beating the Patriots. Patriots record drops to 7-7 while the Raiders jump to 6-8. With just one game behind, anything is possible in this rollercoaster of a ride we call the Las Vegas Raiders season!

(sorry if there are any mistakes, English isn't my first language)
I started to watch OG She-Ra and god I'm SO mad about what they did to Sea Hawk in spop.
Like he was such an interesting character. OG Sea Hawk was a pirate who was working for the Horde because it gave him and his crew freedom, and otherwise they would be arrested. In "The Sea Hawk" episode one of the pirates takes Adora on the ship to place she needed to get to and she has an encounter with Sea Hawk. He says that he works only for himself and freedom is the most important thing and while he sells equipment for the Horde it can't be taken away from him, Adora calls him a traitor of his own people and says that no one on the planet will be free until Hordak is defeated and Sea Hawk promises to think about her words, later Adora is seen on the ship and Sea Hawk sells her out to Catra, but later he comes to save her and promises to join the rebellion. It was such an interesting conflict and it was handled so well in ONE episode! Why the hell they made him just a dumb guy who sets boats on fire in the reboot? I understand that he is no longer a love interest, but they could've give him at least some depth.
another thing to add to the list, i guess. spop especially did all its male characters dirty.
bow was just there, despite being a main character. he had no depth to his personality, no character arc, not even any relevance to the plot. he doesn't do much fighting, he knows a bit about tech but entrapta is still vastly more knowledgeable and useful than him. he's just the token black friend.
i don't even have to go into detail about kyle. there was a joke going around that kyle was actually he-man, which 1. makes no sense and 2. just furthers the idea of "haha let's make all the men pathetic jokes, girl power!"
seahawk is just a blubbering idiot who, again, does nothing useful for the plot and just annoys everyone. he feels like a one-note character but for some reason, is featured in multiple episodes, even though he never gets any character development or interesting arcs.
hordak was probably the best male character but even he was just wasted potential. like i said in an earlier post, he's portrayed as way too weak and easily defeated. i'm not just talking about his physical strength, i can understand that he was disabled. but he doesn't even seem that smart? his key personality traits are angry™, insecure, and in love with entrapta.
so yeah, spop creators really need to understand that putting down men isn't the way to promote girl power. you can have strong and well-written female AND male characters, without reducing either of them to an annoying comic relief or a damsel in distress.

Christmas season at Etheria
You can't convince me that Catra and Glimmer wouldn't have an ugly sweater contest every Christmas (One year, Catra just sticks a mirror to hers.)
Bow would blast "All I want for Christmas is you" from the JBL speakers he borrowed from Scorpia. Adora would soon learn all the words to it and drive her wife crazy (Catra secretly loves the song too).
Perfuma would put salt lamps on her tree.
Perfuma, Scorpia and Bow would make normal sized cookies for everyone, and tiny cookies for their dearest Entrapta.
Wrong Hordak would soon learn how to whistle the Christmas carols' melodies and whistle at the most inappropriate times.
Frosta would make 15 meters tall jacked snowmen and gift them to Glimmer
Swifty would try to lick the snowmen. So would Bow and Adora.
Catra and Adora would put up the decorations as soon as the clock stroke midnight between October 31st and November 1st because they finally know what a home feels like and they want to experience it fully.
Seahawk and Mermista would organise a beautiful, huge bonfire (definitely not an excuse to set something on fire)
Catra would definitely knock over the tree at least 3 times a day
Adora would transform into She-Ra and bring the gifts every year instead of a Santa
They'd celebrate all of the December holidays, not only Christmas, because the more, the merrier <3

It's hilarious to me how many main characters cannot cook
Bow roasts Glimmer that she's a Rich Girl who never had to learn how to cook
Opposite issue, Adora and Catra never saw a broccoli in their lives. They'd probably burn cereal
Entrapta depended on her specialized kitchen staff
i think perfuma, spinny and netossa might be the only rebellion characters who know how to cook, unless mermista and/or seahawk have hidden depths
it wouldn't surprise me but i cant imagine sea hawk Not setting everything on fire whenever he tries to cook
glimmer is trying, okay? shes really trying to learn to cook. she needs to follow instructions, because every time she forgets to she ends up with exploded or burnt or otherwise poor tasting food.
catra gets really keyed into making cookies. she gets really good at it.
entrapta would literally forget to eat for like 3 days before nearly passing out from low blood sugar and would then go into her castle kitchen and accidentally destroy the room trying Accelerated Methods for Creating Sourdough and then would give up and devour soup or cereal instead
it was a mess, she wanted robots for everything but gave up and hired cooks so she can eat nice things
