Moodboard for @lronhusbands‘ adorable one-shot, Take You With Me, which is probably one of the cutest winterironwidow fics out there. :) 

A lovely college au where nothing hurts, some people are oblivious, others are making fun of them, and all is well in the end. 

Bucky realized that Tony is not only cute, but also hot. This pleases his girlfriend Natasha, and they start to subtly flirt with him. Or not so subtly. But it still takes a while...

Featuring a healthy amount of pining (for months), supportive friends (who also make fun of you), Tony being a genius and an idiot the same time (that goes for Bucky too, though), ridiculous fashion, dates that are not dates yet, and of course a happy ending! 

(Bonus points for Tony being aspec, that’s why the purple background of the moodboard. :D)

“Of course you will,” Natasha said, not unkindly, though her face didn’t tick once out of her sultry expression. Her back was arched, her hair falling in soft waves down her back, cutting across the olive green of her skimpy uniform. Black lace peek from underneath and, beside her, Bucky was the perfect,  shirtless and brooding counterpoint.

The camera flashed and Tony grinned.

When the day was over, Tony was holding the mockup of the sexiest “We Want You” Army poster he’d ever seen.

fight or flight

part of the carbonell family AU, how bucky and tony met

"I do have a functional door you know," the Asset freezes.

It has never been caught before.

A snap from behind startles it, and it whirls around; gun raised.

The target is waving at him, head jutted slightly forward and wiggling his fingers.

"I see HYDRA has upped its game," the target says, eyeing the Asset up and down, "I'm impressed"

The Asset is unsure of what to do, so it keeps the gun raised- but doesn't shoot.

The target moves closer, seemingly unafraid of the gun. The assumption is proved right when the target wraps his fingers around the gun, and pulls it out of the Asset's hands.

It's hands fall limply to the side, and the target reaches behind and unclasps the face gear.

The mask and goggles fall to the ground, and the target pushes the gun against the Asset's chin, tilting his face up.

"You truly are something huh?" the target says, and then raises his voice, "Tasha darling come see"

A redhead slips into the room, and the Asset startles because it thought the target lived alone.

The redhead is dressed in negligee, but her lack of clothing doesn't appear to bother either her or the target.

She pads over to the target softly, collecting the gun from him and emptying the barrel; before setting it aside and wrapping her hands around the target's waist.

Her hand rests on his chin, something she can afford to do since her heels are 5 inches, but the Asset thinks that otherwise, she may be shorter than the target.

"He's very pretty," she says in a mock whisper, "I think I may want to keep him"

Similar to the target, she moves its chin- using her fingers instead of the gun.

She must see something in its eyes, because she gasps, "oh darling- what've they done to you?"

The target, Tony, has instructed the Asset to sit on the couch, and is currently giving it sustenance.

This confuses the Asset for several reasons, the primary of which being that it is quite sure providing sustenance to a thing that just tried to kill you.

But Tony motions for the Asset to open his mouth every couple of seconds, and the Asset does- swallowing the food on the utensil placed in his mouth.

“He’s CIA,” the redhead, Natasha, says, “or former CIA anyway”

“Oh?” Tony says, blowing on the liquid in the spoon before raising it to the Asset’s mouth, “what do you mean former CIA?”

“I mean,” Natasha places her fingers on Tony’s wrist, stilling his movements. The Asset waits with bated breath for Tony to punish her, to correct her insubordination- but nothing comes. Tony gives the arm a sharp look, but makes no attempt to remove her hand.

Instead, he places the bowl down and faces her completely, and she takes the opportunity to sink into his lap; flipping the dossier she’s complied open.

“I mean,” she says again, “that his last assignment was you.” Tony peers over her shoulder to look at the file himself, “they sent him to SHIELD to train him for infiltration, and then there’s no record of him anywhere”

“Well,” Tony motions for the Asset to move forward with 2 crooked fingers; and brushes aside his hair, “that confirms our theory that HYDRA infiltrated SHIELD”

He pats Natasha’s ass with his free hand; and then turns towards the Asset more intently; running his fingers gently against the burn marks on the Asset’s temples, “don’t worry James- you’re in good hands now”

The Asset, James, never had any doubt.

It’s been a work in progress, but James is finally getting a hang of this being a human thing.

Its weird, looking at himself in the mirror and knowing he’s human; but not truly believing it.

He hears a sound behind him, and turns to see Natasha leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed against her chest. She’s dressed in an oversized henley and nothing else, and James ignores the stir it causes within him to see her so casually under-dressed.

“I think I had a friend,” he says instead- waiting for Natasha to nod before he continues, “but I don’t think he knew me, not really”

“I keep getting flashes of a,” he rubs the back of his neck self-consciously, “a small runt called Stevie?”

Natasha pursues her lips in a way that James has come to understand means that she’s holding back laughter.

“Steve Rogers,” she confirms- and it settles something in him, “he was your bestfriend almost your whole life”

“But you’re right, he didn’t know about your CIA life. Your handler thought it was too risky involving him because he was too dependant on you”

“If you want,” she hesitates slightly before continuing, “we can reach out to him if that’s something you’d be interested in”

James turns back towards the mirror, absently wondering if there’ll be a day that he recognises the face looking back at him.

“Does he think I’m dead?” he can see Natasha in the mirror,  nodding her head, “he thinks you died in a freak shoot-out involving the Carbonell family”

He runs his hand against his jawline, “I think its best we leave it like that; I don’t think he would recognise me anyway”

i don’t think i recognise me, goes unsaid.

Natasha doesn’t say anything to that, just spins on her heels and walks away; but James knows that she’s going to tell Tony.

Despite how close he’s gotten to them over the last 6 months, there’s an unshakeable bond between Natasha and Tony that he can’t breach- and there’s nothing they don’t share.

(at night, when he’s alone- James closes his eyes and wonders if they’ll share him too)

I have a few WIPs I'm working on, I really begin more things than I can finish lol.

Keep in mind these are drafts and thus are not good polished yet, some of them are really quite rough, so please be kind and don't judge too hard.

"It'll be a family dinner," Tony promises. She gives him a strange look, and he grins. "To welcome you home, Wanda." "Home," she echoes, so quietly that it must be to herself, but she smiles. "I like the sound of that."

2. iron masks and spider kisses

Okay, I'll admit I tried to cheat and write another chapter before playing this game. So this draft is literally one day old, it's super rough and probably not going to end up in the final chapter. Be warned: if you have diabetes, this might be a health hazard.

But that was not possible, because Toni's stomach grumbled loudly. She got up and tugged at Natasha's hand. "Come on, let's eat before I starve to death." Natasha groaned, instead pulling Toni back into bed on top of her. The engineer gave a little yelp but giggled as Natasha squeezed her tight. Now it was her hair that fell onto Natasha's face, and Natasha pushed it back, her hands lingering on Toni's face as she did so. "You're so beautiful," Natasha whispered, and hearing her say that, Toni's heart swelled up. She pressed Natasha's hand to her lips reverently. "So are you," she replied, knowing full well that Natasha was used to compliments. True, she just shook her head and rolled her eyes, smiling fondly up at Toni.

Outside the building, leaning against Natasha's car, was a short, tousled-hair boy who looked lost in thought. But when he spotted Natasha he smiled and hugged her. "Hey, babe," he said, kissing her cheek. Bucky tried to look away when she melted into his arms like she belonged there. Natasha’s boyfriend was even more attractive than she was. That was when Bucky knew he was well and truly fucked.

I haven't posted this anywhere at all, so here's the beginning of the prologue.

On their wedding night, Princess Natasha—Queen Natasha—turned to Tony with a steady glint in her eyes and said, “I know about you and Captain Rogers.” Tony’s blood froze in his veins. For the first time since he took the throne over a decade ago, the King was at a loss for words. The man who was groomed to take the throne, who commanded every room he was in with his quick wit and charm, rendered speechless by seven little words from his wife. “Don’t worry,” his newly-made queen said at the look of panic on his face. “I won’t tell anyone. In fact, I want you to continue. With Rogers, or whatever pretty boy or girl next catches your eye. As long as you will give me the same freedom.” Tony found his voice—the even, measured voice of a man raised to rule. “What are you suggesting?” She gave a wry smile, much keener than the coy smiles she showed at their wedding, but strangely more fitting. “We both know why you married me, your Majesty. For peace between our lands. Now that it is sealed with our marriage, I see no reason we cannot enjoy the company of whoever we like.”

Yes that's a lot of WIPs, I feel called out lol, but it was good to revisit some of these and feel inspired to start writing again. Let me know which ones you would be interested in reading!

Any opinion on Iron Widow (Tony and Natasha)

Love it.

For the most part, when I think of Natasha and Tony, I get three headcanons.

1. Siblings

This one can vary depending on the story, for example, in Iron Man 2, Natasha adopts Tony as he little brother. She quickly grows attached to the older man and looks past his public persona to see the sweet man his is and adopts him.

Taking him under her wing, teaching him her native language, basic self defense, keeping him happy and safe. In return he gives her a home, life outside the next mission. He is the fire in her artic storm.

Or there is the other route when they meet wen they were younger, or Natasha was born/adopted as a Stark. In this Tony has a great devotion to protecting his precious sister. In this no matter what his own struggles may be he will always answer Natasha’s call and be all that he can for his sister. Also in this Natasha adores her big brother Tony and they maintain a close bond.

2. Best Friends

This can become close to the sibling idea but my major difference would be the dynamc. Yes they are still protective of one another but I think they are less possessive. Where sibling Natasha would shield Tony from all those undeserving bastards, best friend Natasha would stick him in a red dress and throw him to the wolves.

Sibling Natasha would be like a helicopter parent (in a funny way), best friend Natasha would be layed back and relaxed. ‘Big’ sister Natasha would check in with Tony everyday, bff Nat wouldn’t bother to respond to Tony’s 3 am texts.

3. The Couple

This one I have three favorites.

Asexual Natasha and her supportive boyfriend Tony.

Alpha/Dom/etc. Nat and Omega/Sub/etc. Tony

or Tony being the gooey center of a Russian Assassin sandwich (BuckyTonyNat)

So basically I love them together in any setting. What’s your favorite?
