so there's this post that talks about how people call jason's curved knife a kris but it's not a kris 'cuz why would he have a southeast asian knife? and op's tags say if you're gonna give him an 'exotic' weapon at least make him malay or something. a later reblog adds a filipino kris as an example, and then i was like, 'omg, jason in a barong tho.' I understand that literature nerd Jason Todd is kind of overblown in fanon compared to it's actual presence in canon (a few issues during his pre (and post?)crisis Robin tenure that highlight it) BUT consider that I think it's hilarious if the unhinged gun toting criminal has strong opinions on poetry

So @somerandomdudelmao made a version of their sona in a dystopia (inspired by @tapakah0 doing the same to theirs) and the person in this ask named the robot C.A.S.5 and I thought, ‘well then there’s at least four other C.A.S. units out and about in the world’ leading to this being the end result! It was a lot of fun to come up with the different customizations each C.A.S. unit has.

also, the design for C.A.S.4 (Cash) was partially inspired by @mobiitez post.

I think a very important distinction to be made between Spy x Family and Buddy Daddies (that can also hopefully stop ppl from comparing them in bad faith) is that Kazuki and Rei are supposed to be messy and somewhat incompetent. They have very specific skills but they are mostly just fuck it we balling all situations all the time. Kazuki’s plans are stablished to constantly fall apart and Rei is shown to be impulsive and willing to jump straight into the danger when the plans fail. They are not supposed to be as competent as Loid and Yor - not at their jobs and not at raising a kid. They go about it in fundamentally different ways in both shows and if you go in expecting them to be carbon copies of each other you will be disappointed and for stupidly unfair reasons too

To put it simply - they are different shows and their character dynamics are fundamentally different

#honestly just got a bit tired of the comparison being done in bad faith #there’s a lot of fun to be had with comparing them and drawing parallels but like #let’s be reasonable about it #Kazuki and Rei are SUPPOSED to be hella incompentent parents #they’re supposed to be messy young adults that don’t have anything figured out yet #it’s the fun in them even #and I might go into it in more detail at some point but for now that’s that #anyway #kazuki and rei are SUPPOSED to be cringe fail loser guys that’s the point of them #suwa rei #kurusu kazuki #buddy daddies

okay now that i'm no longer trying to keep a project secret from certain people i can complain publicly about a thing i've been losing my mind about:

why the fuck is the evo wiki like that.

listen. i know. i know fandom wikis being decent entirely relies on whether there are people who both want to obsessively categorize things enough to fill out the wiki, with the free time to do that kind of obsessive categorization, and the desire to manage it all as a wiki. believe me, i know. but please i'm just trying to do research please, please at least bigb's page was just Entirely Empty so i knew i had useless information and just left. why the fuck did the mafia's page, by contrast, have this:

a sentence that is actively LESS USEFUL THAN IF IT WERE NOT THERE.

and then grian's page - GRIAN'S. GRIAN'S. THE ONE PAGE I THOUGHT MIGHT HAVE A SHOT OF BEING FILLED OUT. JOKE'S ON ME I GUESS.
