You were sitting in your corner peacefully, Deke, May and Daisy sitting at the table near you while you drew silly doodles for warm-ups in your sketchbook. You were so focused you didn't hear May and Daisy talk to you.

"[Name] !" Finally, May's voice caught your attention.

You looked up, slightly startled, wide eyes looking at them.

"Daisy was talking to you."

"Oh no, it's fine." Daisy said.

"She wanted to see you drawings."

Daisy smiled politely. In all honesty, she was indeed curious but she also knew not every artist liked to share their art. Deke perked up, gaining interest in the discussion.

You quickly debated with yourself, not daring to say no, you accepted. This simple doodle wasn't much anyway so there was nothing to fear. So you turned your sketchbook to them so they could see. It was two people fighting, one about to high-kick the other in the head.

What you didn't expect was for May to grab it. She stared when you didn't let go before ripping it away from your hands. Clearly not understanding the silent message.

She showed it to Daisy who tried not to smile. She got the message.

Then May turned the page and you stood up.

"No. No. No. No !" Your voice grows louder with each 'no' as you try to approach them as fast as possible to grab your sketchbook back but May pulls it away once again.

"Look, there's us." Daisy says, pointing proudly at the portraits. "So cool, right ?" She says, leaning to the side to let Deke see.

You stand there, sweating bullets, hoping they won't turn the pages anymore.

"Oh, that's me !" Deke says, surprised to be in here as well. He grabs the book from May's hands and turns pages.

Oh no.

"Oh wow that's me again !" He laughs, excited, slightly walking away from Daisy and May.

"Don't-" You try to intervene but they ignore you, too engrossed in your art.

"Always my best angles !" He turns more pages. "There's- there's a lot of me, actually." He says, this time more serious. What the fuck ? They're all so prettily drawn. He smiles, slightly nervous.

May hums, not that interested anymore, staring at you instead as if to say "Him ? Really ?".

"Really ? Let me see." Daisy's hands are already on the sketchbook, turning it toward herself.

"No !" You yell again, finally grabbing the book from their hands. "That's enough !" Your face is hot in embarrassment, you can feel your cheeks burning. "Those are not the pages I wanted you to see."

"Why did you draw Deke so much ?" As Daisy asks that, Deke places his hands on his hips.

"Why wouldn't he ?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't he." May repeats with a small smirk.

"No reasons at all." You say to May and Daisy before turning to Deke. "Don't think too much about it."

"Oh." Daisy says, almost disappointed by your answer. Boring.

Wait. Ohohoh… She smiles knowingly, having connected the dots.

"There were far more portraits of Deke than us…" she 'thought' aloud. "Like, daily drawings of him. This is an obsession at this point…"

Oh my god.

"No. Not at all."

"Really ?" Deke smiles, stepping closer as if to take another look at what's inside your closed sketchbook. Daily drawings of him ? "I mean, that's understandable-" He starts.

"I don't know what you're talking about." You cut him off, taking a step back. You won't let him take another peek at your drawings. "He was just around when I wanted to draw. That's all. This is just a coincidence."

"There's lots and lots of them though." Daisy said, squinting her eyes.

"Not that much."

"Almost like if he made you want to draw." May added.

You grimaced, trying to hide your nervous smile. Why were they all siding against you now, what did you do to them ?

"I don't know what you're talking about." You laugh awkwardly.

"Really ? I make you want to draw ?" His arms are now crossed, still leaning closer.

"No." You deadpanned as you started to walk away wanting to get out of this situation.

Daisy and May chuckled, watching you leave as Deke quickly followed you.

"Can I look at them again ?" He asks, excited. It's the first time someone drew him like this. He looks so cool. So good. Is that how you see him ?

"No ?" You say, avoiding eye contact. Focusing on walking away. Where, you didn't know, but away.

"Then why are you drawing me this much ? Daisy said-"

"Oh my god, don't listen to what she says !" You stop in your tracks.

"Come on, can I look at them again ?"

"No."

"Why not !?"

"Because this is embarrassing !"

"What is ?"

Oh my god. How could he be so smart and so fucking dumb at the same time ?

"You really haven't guessed ? Why there's daily drawings of you ? In my sketchbook ?" You say, tapping your foot on the floor, looking at him. Daring him to fucking think.

"I mean. I know that I'm… awesome, good looking, smart." He jokingly began to list before- "Oh my god you like me !"

"Maybe…" You said quietly.

"You could've just said it." He laughs, a bit too pleased.

"Sorry, you didn't really let me know if your crush on Daisy was over."

"I would've told you if you had told me you had one on me !"

"Well, I wouldn't have told you because- This is endless !"

He grinned, clearly overjoyed.

"You really like me ?" He asks, and you grimace. Sometimes he really made you want to lie. But you decided against it.

"Yes." You said, feeling your heart beat in your ears.

He grinned.

"Good thing I-"

"Wait, you're not into Daisy anymore ?"

"Uh… no."

"Since when ?" You ask, confused.

"Since you kind of, uh stole my heart." He chuckled awkwardly, trying to sound confident, a light blush spearing to his cheeks.

You stared at him and he shifted, feeling now uncomfortable.

"You like me, right ?" He asks, biting his lower lip, feeling unsure of what he heard you say earlier. You said you liked him, he didn't make that up, right ?

"Of course, you do ?"

He nodded quickly.

"But can you stop looking at me like you're so suspicious of something ? Please ?"

"Sorry, I just… I didn't expect you to get over your feelings for her, so…"

"Well, she thought the lemons were lame so I had to."

"What ?" You frowned. Lemons ?

"No, it's just- nothing." He looked down, before looking at you then away. He nervously scratched his ear before taking your free hand.

"I really like you, [Name]. I'm not joking. You're-" He smiles. "Kind, talented, funny, handsome, you're really nice to be around, you're patient, you… you listen to me, you're-"

"Okay ! I get it !" You throw your head back with a nervous smile. "I can't take compliments, that's enough !"

"But it's true !"

"Ahh ! Stop it !" You felt your face heat up again in embarrassment.

"I like you, [Name]."

You closed your eyes, calming yourself and mainly your heart that was beating a bit too uncontrollably.

"I like you too." You said, squeezing his hand in return, smiling.

One Last Time (and its sequel The End of All Things) - Actually OLT is definitely one of my faves I ever wrote. It's my canon-compliant take on um... *cough* Sokka's death, referenced in Korra. It's SO angsty but it has one of the most visceral scenes I've ever written and I DID cry writing this. TEoAT is the happy ending Divorced Zukka deserved with bonus Iroh but you WILL cry reading that too. BUT i cant fucking recommend these ones enough!!!!

If I fade away (the awful things we do to make the head go quiet) - VERY dead dove. trans zuko needs to pay a MASSIVE price to get home to the Fire Nation after Ba Sing Se, and it's not his choice at all. I love this but READ WITH CAUTION

Keeping Score - I liked this one! It's just little snippets of times Sokka has survived assassination attempts, because we always hear about it happening to Zuko, but Sokka gets them too. Angst obviously

It Was Cruel and It Was Wrong - wow, a dead dove fic, yes. It's basically like "If I'm Joo Lee and you're Joo Lee, then who's flying the bison?" Yeah so Sokka and Zuko are both brainwashed by the Dai Lee and Suffering but be careful because this gets DARK

Mother - Izumi has two dads but she feels bad she doesn't have a mom. But guess what, her dads don't have moms either!! She's very happy to find that out! Wow Izumi, way to have some sympathy.

Impact - It's about Zuko taking a longer time to recover from an assassination attempt than he'd want, and Sokka being loving and patient with him! I wrote this when I had a bad concussion for like three weeks and so it's pretty like. Medically accurate lol

Scratchy - Short and sweet. I don't remember this one much but I know that it is fluffy and involves turtle ducks!

Hidden Pain, Shared Love - Another short and fluffy one. It's about the first time Zuko sees that Sokka has problems with his leg sometimes?

Zuko and Sokka Get Engaged in the Most Zukka Way Possible - okay i actually really love this one because it's on brand and cute and also i made it fucking angsty because oF COURSE

hello!! its been a while since ive posted but here i am!!! so this game is Dead Plate created by STUDIO INVESTIGRAVE

i had played one of their games before, Elevator Hitch, and i really really enjoyed it! so im very excited for this new game that theyve released

though, this game is probably really different from Elevator Hitch, because that game was a visual novel type of game while this one has restaurant tycoon gameplay

ANYWAY, let's see... underrated episode huh. i have a couple actually: Mr. Monk and The Missing Granny [S02E13], Mr. Monk and The Other Detective [S04E01], Mr. Monk Stays In Bed [S04E03], Mr. Monk and The Big Game [S05E03], Mr. Monk and The Class Reunion [S05E06], Mr. Monk and The Bad Girlfriend [S06E04] and Mr. Monk and The Magician [S07E15].

Okay, let's dive into it. With Mr. Monk and The Missing Granny there's that scene where he's just finished taking his test (not really lol) and he's locked himself inside Leland's office. it's very short, if you blink it you miss (i just spotted it like,, a couple of days ago during a re-watch) but he's trying to coax Adrian to open the door and he, so very fucking softly, says: "Adrian." before launching into this small, supportive spiel -> his constant support, even in slivers, of Adrian is so freaking beautiful.

With Mr. Monk and The other Detective. it's more funny "guilty hubby energy" than cute. he looks so GUILTY giving the job over to Marty Eels. like, pls. like @s-misaki once said:

the utter act of betrayal mixed with guilt he must be feeling towards Adrian lolol

In Mr. Monk Stays In Bed. I just liked the little scene of where Leland is Adrian's bedroom... that's it. lol. BUT THIS ALSO REMINDS ME. in Mr. Monk and The Very, Very Old Man - Leland was sitting in Adrian's bed and i'm just like??? ADRIAN?? he's sitting in your bed... gosh, i giggled sm. like sure, he'll probably change the sheets - but there's that hint of him always feeling like Leland is one of his 'safe' people. Physical Touch, closeness, sharing things is tough but it's there!!!

the little football rugby match in Mr. Monk and The Big Game has like,,, quarter of my heart (the rest have been divided lol) - cause?? the?? trust?? teamwork?? is SO NATURALLLL. ahhhhh.

the main thing that blew my mind in Mr. Monk and The Class Reunion was how Leland drove all the way (sure, it was for a case) but i'm just,, he would go anywhere on earth for Adrian, wouldn't he. it's so freaking heart-warming idek (╥_╥)♥️.

Mr. Monk and The Bad Girlfriend,, that ep,, i swear. it was just. it was a good hint of how Leland sometimes DOES get fed up of Adrian and how Adrian always wants the best for Leland. it was equally heart-warming and heart-breaking. the underrated scene there though was how Leland shoved Adrian...

it's a very raw moment where the both of them do not seem to get along at all because they want something good and dont see it right in front of them *cough*... and it's just,, Leland's words there: "I have what you want..."

like gahhh, it's visceral if you come think about it. they never want to hurt each other but sometimes what you want isn't what you get and you have to settle and look for something else to fill in the gaping hole :).

Mr. Monk and The Magician is simply me loving Leland wanting to toss anyone out the window and smash them in the face for even hurting a hair on Adrian or loosing sight of him. What a man, XD.

I love this one so much!!!! It's really well written first of all, and secondly the characterization of Lucas here is so unique!! This is my kind of Lucas, and the thought behind the premise is really interesting. Plus the Jason here is accurate to real Jason and I like that a lot (So many people just make irredeemable monster Jason when like before he went cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs he was just your regular small town jock asshole)

It's so fucking good and I got choked up more than once I loved all the characterizations they felt so in synch. There are some spicy bits in this so fair warning, but there's also dad hopper and Wayne and stobin soulmate moments and just AUGH this is amazing it really honestly Is everyone should go read this and the fact that it only has 886 hits is a fucking travesty. I could easily see this as one of the seminal steddie fics tbh.

“Literally on the other side of the map.”

“You’re kidding.” Keeho’s silence afterwards meant he had the map open and was looking for your icon. “Oh my god. Cat, how did you get over there so fast?”

“I just followed the road.”

Yeji laughed again.

“Why are you laughing?” You asked, agitated.

“Because you must have clipped or something. There’s no way you could have made it over there so fast.” You sighed.

“Should I do something?”

You sighed and looked back at your chat.

Keeho groaned loudly.

“Do it!” Yeji laughed. “I missed it last time. I love Keeho’s mom.”

You chuckled.

You laughed.

“What are you laughing at?” Yeji asked.

“My chat really wants me to call Keeho’s mom.”

She laughed. “You should.”

Keeho groaned.

You laughed. “He hasn’t done anything yet… except made unhappy noises at the idea.”

You continued to wait as they continued to run in your direction. Finally, Yeji was getting closer and you’d be able to see her if you peeked out of your hiding spot. You peeked, and heard bullets whizz past you.

“Oh my god!” 

“What?” 

“They saw me!”

“What?”

“Fuck it!”

You ran towards the enemy team, shooting all the while, running serpentine and ducking behind objects, and just as you were downed and though you were about to die, Yeji ran up and killed the person who was shooting you and picked you up.

Keeho ran up to join you. “You really couldn’t wait, huh?”

“Hey, I waited. My hand was forced.”

“Oh my god.”

“Now if you’ll excuse me: Leroyyyyy Jenkins!” You led the charge into the enemy team’s hideout, shooting all the way.

“Cat! Oh my god!” Yeji yelled and ran after you.

“Your armor is too low to be in front!” Keeho yelled after you as he followed.

You ducked behind a bombed out wall and crouched as you peeked out and shot at as many of the other team members you could. Maybe the three of you were idiots for only playing with three members, but Mick and Bracken were out today and Ryujin had to do overtime at work and the three of you wanted to play anyway. It wasn’t until you saw that they had a car and what looked like a grenade launcher that it occurred to you that your team score might go down very soon.

“Uh, guys? I think they have--”

You ducked just as the rocket went whizzing past your head.

Yeji and Keeho ducked behind you just in time.

“Fuck! You ruined our element of surprise.”

“Im-a da pope, and I absolve myself of this sin.”

“...what?” Keeho asked.

Yeji laughed.

“It’s-- it’s from a movie. Stay here!”

“Cat--!” Keeho whisper-yelled.

You used the smoke from the rocket as a screen and ran behind another building and watched for a moment as some of the opposing team moved towards the wall Keeho and Yeji were behind. You ran around the building as fast as you could and, now that you were behind the group, threw a grenade into the middle of them and got off as many headshots as you could.

With the group in disarray over the grenade’s explosion, Keeho and Yeji jumped from their hiding spot and assailed the group from their side. As the last member fell, so did you. Yeji ran over to pick you up again.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah, we should see if they have some healing kits I can use.”

“What is your problem?” Keeho bellowed.

You spun around and looked at his character for a second before you started jumping. “We won, didn’t we?”

He sighed. “I thought you were going to get killed, and then Yeji and I would get killed.”

“Nah nah nah, I had a plan.”

“You didn’t have a plan, you just ran in.”

“It was a Running In kind of plan. I figured it out as I went along. It’s fine”

Keeho sighed again. “It’s such a good thing you never joined the military or something, you’d get court-martialed for being disobedient.”

“I’d be the biggest headache in the place.” You laughed as you searched the other team’s bodies.

Yeji laughed. “They’d just throw you at the enemy and hope for the best.”

You chuckled. “They wouldn’t even be able to have a war, I’d be so annoying-- Got it!” and healed yourself. “Okay, who wants to find the next group to fuck up?”

okay so i actually know very little about the x men but what roles are u thinking of for the party?

OKAY. you have awakened nerd esme. prepare urself. this will be long. sooooo long.

so for context the x men— created in 1963 by stan lee and jack kirby and fictionally brought together by professor x, a wheelchaired mutant with telepathic abilities, were/are mutants. mutants are a different species than humans and are as such treated terribly by them. they have “mutations” which give them powers and shit. they were basically created as parallels to real life bigotry and are hated by the general public (in the marvel verse everyone irl loves them. or i do. )

anyway, the original five were—

angel aka warren worthington III (yes that is his actual name) who had wings on his back. now they’re metal. it’s complicated but not important. he’s basically the token rich boy, blond hair, blue eyes, yeah. total knockout in canon too apparently. cyclops aka scott summers who had a red laser beam that continuously comes out of his eyes and as such he wears/wore a special visor made out of special ruby glass professor x found for him. quick fun fact he had so low self esteem and was so depressed professor x made him leader out of fear he would fucking kill himself. which is very dark. a bit stoic and pretty much an old man (he canonically watched seinfield). and he’s transmasc to ME. beast aka hank mccoy who is basically a genius and really strong and stuff. eventually he turns into a literal beast but i’m too sleep deprived to remember how that happened lolol marvel girl aka jean grey who was the token Girl™️ of the group and who possessed too many abilities to keep track of, and when she has them. she gets fucked up at some point in the chris claremont x men run (which is truly iconic) and becomes possessed by the phoenix force(specifically in issue #134, the issue will wanted in episode one) and becomes like evil and shit. the phoenix force is a cosmic evil being and she becomes *dark* phoenix and it’s a whole thing. also pour one fucking out for her imagine being surrounded by teenage boys and hormones most of whom have a crush on you and being able to read their minds. jean babe i’m so sorry for everything you’ve been through. and bobby drake aka iceman who has *gasp* ice powers. he’s a bit of the goofball of the group and can turn basically turn himself into ice which is explored more in more recent comics. he’s also been revealed as gay. one small step for mutants i suppose they’re all queer but nobody tell them.

wow that was long! sorry. anyway onto the actual au stuff. my original plan was to make each member of the part correspond to a o5 x men member, but since there are six i thought i’d add one more for max.

mike is cyclops! i think it fits in a special sort of way that i can’t really articulate since they have such different personalities. but just trust me.

el is jean, in the telepathic sense and being surrounded by boys most of the time sense. rip.

dustin is beast. tech savvy, smart, tested different bc of how he looks— it fits. so so well.

again the personalities may not fit on the surface but i think will is iceman. they’re both sort of softer than everyone else, and whole will is quieter it just makes sense to me haha.

uhh so i don’t actually think lucas would be warren… mayhaps i’m still considering… which means i wrote that whole description for basically nothing but i think it’s funny so i’m keeping it there. anyway i think lucas would be… idk. i’m still thinking it over but maybe gambit.

so for max @hellmo suggested rogue who would be great but i’m also still mulling it over. maybe kitty pryde! idk.

technically i think brenner would work as prof x but obviously that’s a no-go so it’s gonna be mr clarke which i like more as concept actually. again, different personalities but i think that’s okay, because the general roles fit. plus i jsut think that dynamic would be fun to explore more.

so sorry this was long and doesn’t really have much au it’s more me seeing x men and going brrr… haha. thanks for the ask tho!!! i enjoyed talking about them :]

I really enjoyed the mixture of a medieval setting with futuristic technology. The animation was incredibly well done and the voice acting was spot on. There were so many jokes that were layers upon layers and honestly with the sheer amount of rich details shown, it's worth a re-watch to spot them all.

I think the movie worked so well because it touched on a lot of real life issues that is highly relatable from a historical AND modern viewpoint. The marginalization and ostracization of anything and anyone who is "different". Misinformation and twisting truths to serve a nefarious purpose. How meritocracy and classism can be wielded like weapons or a shield depending on the narrative and who benefits from it. Propaganda and tactics of fear, especially starting early with the children. (Those "Put Your Faith In The Institute" subway posters gave me so much red flags!!!). Struggling with depression, loneliness, suicidal ideation and how HARD and ISOLATING it can be when you don't feel accepted for just EXISTING.

In contrast, I feel like with Nimona constantly asserting herself, refusing to be put in a box, driving Ballister to think BEYOND the "small minded questions" was incredibly refreshing and SO VITALLY IMPORTANT.

Because let's be REAL CLEAR here...this movie is obviously about being transgender. There are reviews and thought pieces out there that are way more articulate than I am but I will say, it's so wonderful seeing representation like this. I hope there's kids (and adults!) out there who sees this movie and thinks "Wow. I can be me. Just me. And that's okay. Actually, it's more than okay. This is how it should be." BUT ALSO "Our differences should be celebrated because that's what makes everyone so beautiful."

Also Ballister and Ambrosius were SO FUCKING CUTE and I'm so glad they got a happy ending! They smooched! They hugged! They held hands! Omfg my little fangirl shipping heart was all aflutter! Hell, even Todd kind of redeemed himself!! And fuck that two faced maniacal Director! She's just as bad as Gloreth!

Will there be a sequel? I have no idea but it would be pretty cool to see how Nimona's return will unfold. There better be a fucking parade!!!

hey sunsun i was jus wondering if u had any tips for writing smut n fluff? i wanna get into writing fanfic but idk im scared <3

hii omg im sorry for the late reply!!

writing smut was such a struggle for me omg, i just started writing full blown smut (penetration n allat) this year!! i used to just dance around it or extend foreplay and build it up sm that the fucking (p in v) just gets insinuated or smthn lolol i think what truly helped me get over that uhhhhh hurdle (?) is realizing fic-smut doesnt have to be all that accurate to irl sex. for me, its about passion and tension and action. so i focused on writing how a character would feel when their kinks are played out and i also realized that i always describe how hands worked (not just fingering but gripping his arms, fisting at the shits, clawing at his back, etc.) and things that arent just cock n pussy :'D

FLUFF rahhhh i love fluff. um i think my big thing is to ig write about how a scene feels than what is happening? does that make sense :0 like i think even if it's all mundanity, fluff could be poured into it by talking about how a character visualizes it. for example for me, i write sm about quiet mornings (i checked my mlist and wow i've probably written handful of this trope heheweh) and it's, well, in face value these scenes are slow or they dont do much, but when i talk about how these mornings ground simon and how they really feel make him feel how he's back home or how these type of mornings give sm comfort to toji (who has never known such quiet and patient love), then the mood shifts ykyk?

does this make sense aahhhhhhhh i think im just rambling atp and for that, im so sorry

but yea! i understand the anxiousness that comes when writing and even know how intimidating it is to publish ur works, but i promise u writing is so fun. thank u sm for coming to me to ask for tips and i hope that these (even amidst the rambles) helped even just a bit. take care my love and happy writing <33
