Do you guys ever imagine a really specific scenario with your f/o. Like doing something together at a certain place you love to go, or doing something you love to do? Yup, back again.

Its now been a little over 6 months the gods have been living here. While you enjoy Thor being here and notice Loki settle in as well, one thing becomes clearer with each passing day.

This gesture throws you off completely, you are not used to such tender affection. Your worry about trusting him eases a bit, a smile crosses your lips.
But now when you think about it, what if only he gets a profit out of it? When you cant get it yourself, what makes him so sure he will? You already expect a response from the god, but it seems he is keeping his word.
"On another note, what makes you so sure you can even help me with my *you gulp* struggle?", you ask with shaky voice.
He gives a deep chuckle, "Because I've gained some experiece in over a thousand years of living. So, shall we start?".
"Uhh, yea I guess.", as those words leave your lips, he gently sinks his lips onto yours.

What are five pros and five cons you would give to Hazbin Hotel?
Gonna start with the cons, because I like to end on a positive note.
The Pacing. This was something I had a feeling was going to be a weakness of the show from the time I saw the trailer and learned that the first season was going to involve the next Extermination, especially when it was confirmed the season was only going to be eight episodes long. The twist in the first episode that the next Extermination was happening in half the time helped a little, but it still meant we skipped over months between episodes, with it being implied important stuff did happen that we just didn't see.
While I think it's better than Helluva Boss in balancing it's main cast (I love that show, but the uneven attention given between all of the main characters is one of the biggest issues it has), it still has some trouble with making all the characters feel fully like "people"? Niffty probably being the biggest example, since I love her, but right now she feels more like a living punchline than a real character.
The tone can sometimes be just a little...off with how it feels like we're supposed to feel. Best example being Sir Pentious death. The characters react to it like it was a serious event, because for them, it was...but the death itself was treated as kind of a joke? And I understand the show is a sort of dark comedy, so to an extent I expect stuff like that. But I think at that moment, the switch from "joke" to "you're supposed to seriously grieve this character" felt a bit too abrupt?
This is a completely personal thing, but as I've mentioned before, I don't love the whole sideplot of Sir Pentious having a crush on Cherri Bomb? It felt like it came out of nowhere, whereas most of the other relationships that seem to be a thing in the show were at least given hints in the Pilot. And it's just another example of the pacing being break-neck, since they had Cherri not show up until episode 6 of 8, and then Pentious dies in the finale, so they had basically two episodes (and not even full ones, just some scenes) to try and convince me of a romance, and, maybe it's just my arospec self, but....I couldn't really get convinced at all.
It's kinda hard for me to really think of issues I really have with the show, so I gotta kinda cheat a bit with this last one, since I can't help but wonder if they would've left the scene out had they known from the start of production that they'd get more seasons, but I personally don't love the whole stinger that reveals Pentious ended up in Heaven after Adam killed him? Not so much because I don't like the idea that he ended up there - I like that part. But I kind of feel like his death would have had a bit more impact if the audience did genuinely think he was gone for good for longer than like...fifteen minutes.
And now for the things I loved about Hazbin Hotel
The songs are arguably the biggest highlight of the whole series for me. I don't think there's a single one that I wouldn't happily listen to, whether in or out of context. From what I've seen I apparently don't have as high of an opinion of some songs as others, but I legitimately love all of them. I don't think there's anything I could say about any of the songs in this show that could be considered anything close to a real critique.
All of the characters are an absolute blast to watch. Yes, some of them don't have the most depth so far, but that doesn't change the fact that I just love to watch them whenever they're on screen? And it's not just the main cast, either. Obviously I love all of them, but even with fairly limited screen time, I found myself absolutely adoring whenever I got to see characters like Carmilla Carmine, Zestial, Velvette, and Rosie on screen. And all of the characters are so interesting and fun to imagine in different scenarios. And since I'm a writer, that is one of the biggest pros a series can have.
While the show is arguably more of a comedy, it is actually very good, in my opinion, dealing with some pretty serious topics when it wants to. The biggest example is Angel Dust's struggles with what he goes through thanks to Valentino, but you also have things like Vaggie's past and how her hiding that effected her relationship with Charlie when the truth got revealed. Or the whole thing of how it's implied most of Heaven didn't know about the Exterminations and that being revealed to them caused a lot of tensions, particularly between Emily and Sera. Or even just the whole thing of how Carmilla discovered how to kill Angels...but doesn't want it to be known what she did because she doesn't want to cause a war and lose her daughters, when the whole reason she learned that Angels could be killed was because she wanted to save them.
The character designs are some of the best I've seen in a long time. It really feels like the team took full advantage of the fact that it seems like there's no set rule for how demons can look in their version of hell, and so they went absolutely nuts with it, in the best possible way. Pretty much every single character has an incredibly unique design, and they're all just so fun to see. It makes the whole world feel so much more alive....slightly ironically considering it's the main setting is full of people who are technically all dead.
Outside of the one I mentioned above, I really like how basically all of the relationships in the show are handled, from the romantic to the platonic to the familial. They are all extremely varied and obviously some get more real attention than others, but all are given enough focus and attention that you always get the sense that the characters care for each other very deeply, especially by the end. And because you feel those bonds, you are even more effected by what the characters go through, because you feel like you're part of that group of people who care for one another. And I love that it also applies to the villains, with how Lute was clearly devestated by Adam's death, following the show indicating they were close, but usually showing them in what seemed to be a mostly "professional" relationship.

SOOO this is another trigun one and it spawned from listening to Francesca for like 2 hours straight oops
Trigun fic that is following the idea that trimax, trigun, and stampede are all in the same timeloop, with Vash remembering each one while the other characters do not. The opening would be going over his feelings on the first two loops, Trimax and Trigun(98), with maybe some dialogue thrown in here and there. I really like the idea of of Milly being one of the only few who kind of notices something is weird? But only in the “wow I’ve been getting a lot of deja vu recently! Weird! Anyways—“ sort of way
Following that would be stampede, the most recent one, but since that series isn’t finished yet and I can do whatever I want, I’m making it to where post-Eriks, the timeline diverges. Probably due to Vash finally admitting to being in a timeloop. So like, from there they would be actively looking to stop the loops.
Also I think it would be cool to eventually have the other characters remember their past loops too? Maybe. Perhaps. This is mostly so I can make Wolfwood have a “holy fuck he’s watched me die like twice” moment AND a “HOLY FUCK HE HAS WILLINGLY FOLLOWED ME FOR MULTIPLE LOOPS” moment hehe
I have no idea where this one would go but!! I like imagining how he would feel reexperiencing the same events over and over again in an attempt to save everyone every time bc I think it’s fun to put Vash through pain <3 And also how Wolfwood would react knowingly Vash has been through this hell multiple times now
OH,, and I’m also counting the badlands rumble as it’s own loop, with the movie being a part of it. The issue is that this loop was a worst-scenario one with him losing more people than he did before (he got hopeful after saving kni in the last one, we have to inflict Despair). He begs for another, and stampede, a complete revamp of everything before, happens
This is another one on my list of “when I get time/energy I definitely wanna write this” bc I think it would be fun!! I love writing stuff where I get to just take a nosedive into characters feelings and thoughts and stuff. Especially the grief he would feel after going through all of this

Is Blackfoot still alive when Skyclan rejoins the other clans? Also...how do the other clans take Skyclan now, without Firestar knowing about them, the other clans don't either. Also...it'd be hilarious if Russetstar was still alive when Skyclan rejoins with Blackfoot/star(?)
Sorry this response has taken to so long! As you can see I definitely took the prompt and ran with it haha. Full disclosure I haven't actually read the series Skyclan returns to the lake (AVoS?) so timeline wise I have no idea if Blackfoot would still be alive canonically but for the sake of a fun AU yes he 100% is.
This is where Skyclan Blackstar shines over having Leafstar lead. Even if Blackfoot founded modern Skyclan, the clan is as much shaped by the other members and he lacks power. Despite the outrage his initial appearance would spark among the other clans I doubt it would be worth it for the other clans to exile him again. He is a beloved elder in Skyclan and ultimately is their problem, other clans have sheltered worse (Bluestar willingly sheltered Brokenstar for a period of time). He will never be able to attend a gathering and avoids straying too close to the borders but is content in Skyclan. For the other clans the entirety of Skyclan is around to keep him in line.
So for the rest of this I'll be talking about the Blackstar & Leafdapple route of the AU. Continued underneath because this post got long.
The clans reacting to Skyclan's arrival at the lake
It shakes the lake clans to the core since it challenges a lot of what they thought of their culture. During OOTS there was a larger focus on the clans coming together when necessary that continued on. Even with the Great Journey after the old territory was destroyed the clans refused to leave until Riverclan joined them. So to hear that Skyclan had been put into a similar position and their ancestors just let them die out - there's definitely a knee jerk reaction to it all. They don't want to believe it.
Blackstar loses a lot of the credibility of the message and a significant portion of cats straight up accuse him of lying. Oh a whole clan just happened to be exiled? Really? What a coincidence "guy who was obsessed with power and famously exiled". It's convenient that this version of events leaves the lake clans as villains and Blackstar as a righteous leader.
With some time to prove himself and how the rest of Skyclan trusts him fully the other clans come around to it in the end. Even if they personally do not like Blackstar he would be nearing the end of his leadership and they can't turn away a whole clan on the faults of a single member. I imagine the gathering they all show up the medicine cats across all the clans just make a beeline for the moonpool to check the legitimacy of Blackstar's account the second they are dismissed.
Bramblestar and Onestar aren't thrilled to have him back among their ranks but they still begrudgingly defend the rights of Skyclan to rejoin them by the lake. Neither were as intimately acquainted to his war crimes as the other leaders and denying a clan sent by Starclan is just not worth it. Bramblestar, having been compared to Tigerstar his whole life, would probably also be more likely to give him a chance as he looks like he has genuinely changed. But of course what would Riverclan and Shadowclan's leadership think?
Russetstar is leader of Shadowclan
She is pissed that he has shown up with an entire clan in tow and is incredibly untrustworthy of him. She remembers what he was like as a deputy in the forest and the atrocities that they witnessed and just can't believe he is a leader now. If he is a leader with morals, where were these morals when Brokenstar and Tigerstar were around? When their clan needed protection? Instead she ended up breaking the cycle and building up her clan from the wreckage left after TPB. She is incredibly concerned with the welfare of Skyclan remembering what the clan before her was like and urges for Blackstar to be sent back into exile and for Skyclan to appoint a new leader. She is solely focused on Blackstar and being an ex-loner herself has no issue with the rest of Skyclan.
Russetstar and Blackstar would be an interesting mirror for each other. Blackfoot blaming Russetfur for everything when he loses it all but gains peace with himself by finding a life in Skyclan knowing that his problem was never with her. Russetstar seeing him return would immediately be ready to fight him again over his position of leader, how he isn't to be trusted and push for him to be exiled. Russetstar finds peace with the fact Skyclan are safe with him and despite all the reasons under the sun she rightfully despises him he never did turn out to be another Tigerstar or Brokenstar like she feared.
Tigerstar ii is leader of Shadowclan
Okay this bullet is not very serious but while you think Russetstar still kicking would be funny I raise to you: Tigerstar ii. Blackstar hears Tigerstar is the great and noble leader of Shadowclan and has a heart attack. Did he rise from the grave? Why is everyone so calm? How are they angry at him when Tigerstar is around? Then he sees him and he looks the spitting image of Tigerstar but the tom in front of him is far, far too young to be the actual cat of nightmares. Tawnypelt is like "That's my boy Tigerstar! Proud of you!" and Blackstar has to take a minute to hound Tawnypelt like "Tawnypaw why in Starclan's name is THAT the prefix you decided on?"
Meanwhile Tigerstar ii is the only leader to have never met Blackstar in his life, and is confused out of his mind. He has no clue what to think, everyone seems angry and scared of this cat claiming him to be Blackfoot from the forest but that can't be right. Blackfoot is an evil cat with glowing red eyes who tried to steal away the great Russetstar's leadership and eats kits or some nonsense. He's known as an executioner but he brought together a whole clan and hardly comes across as more bloodthirsty than Onestar. He seems unnecessarily angry when he tells him he has Tigerstar's support though...
Mistystar the leader of Riverclan
And finally the big one. She would absolutely give Skyclan the ultimatum of exiling their leader or she declares war on them. Honestly who could even blame her? She got a front row seat to Tigerclan in which he was among the highest ranking members, imprisoned with her apprentice and he killed her own brother in front of her. Even after all these seasons he's still alive, having gotten the power he wanted while Stonefur is dead and Stormfur left the clans. She would be livid he is back and would remind the clans why he was exiled and how if it weren't for the truce of the full moon she would be chasing him down already. And when Skyclan respond like "We know what he did but he has changed. We wouldn't have our clan without him." She snaps a bit, all of them are complicit and isn't even going to give them the chance of building a second Tigerclan.
Her deputy Reedwhisker would've seen the horrors of Tigerclan and what happened to her during that time. He wouldn't be leaping at their defence. Mothwing never experienced it first hand but grew up in the aftermath and remembers what Hawkfrost was like (his throwaway line about Tigerstar never being such an enemy to Riverclan was such wasted opportunity). Plus Mothwing is unable to go to the moonpool and verify for herself so even though she goes she just has to trust in what the other medicine cats say. Riverclan has no real reason to trust the story given by Blackstar.
Once she has time alone with her clan and space away from Skyclan they are able to decompress. A lot of the cats who don't remember the forest are furious and don't want to be part of a war with an innocent clan sent by Starclan who have already lost a home. The Kin are their enemy. Mistystar never follows through on the threat of an all out war between the two clans, the danger of The Kin is too pressing, but she ensures Skyclan stays far away from her borders. Any kind of alliance between Riverclan and Skyclan is unsalvageable until Blackstar dies and leadership moves on.
Meanwhile from Blackstar's side he feels awful and has no idea how to face Mistystar. She is the embodiment to all of his past mistakes, how he supported and participated in so much bloodshed. How does he still have the support and trust of Skyclan after coming quite literally face to face with everything he has done. The guilt is palpable. On top of ruining everything in the forest and being exiled he has brought his new clan, weakened by constant travel, into a possible war? How many more are going to be injured on his behalf. I could see him just giving up and saying he'll leave on the promise that his clan stays reunited with the others. Skyclan stand in support of Blackstar though, "We followed you here and if you go we will follow, we've managed without the clans before but we aren't going without our leader."
This whole AU for me is all about how Blackstar doesn't really ever achieve forgiveness in a neat bow in the eyes of the other clans but gets a different support network. Everyone should have a shot at redemption but it doesn't mean you should get forgiveness from the people you hurt. Or grovel for it, instead just moving on and being better.

you’re insanely creative in your AUs or plot ideas, from plant porn to beauty in the beast with vampires but also magic schools with magic goddesses and incubi and cambions!
i was just wondering what inspires you when you’re coming up with ideas for fics and what normally comes first to you, the setting or plot or something else? plus, how did you develop such a strong sense of characterization? because across alternate universes and in every different life, your characters are so consistent and recognizable.
another way your creativity shines is the world building in your fics, it is always so fascinating and effortless, it’s a tantalizing background that really hooks me into the world of your stories. i don’t know if you have more notes on world building that didn’t make it into your fics but please know i would sell my soul for a napkin of extra notes for your fics. do you world build as you write or plan it in advance? and do some things you consider fic-canon not make it into the final edit or do you try to work everything you have in?

so, I would say that usually when I am starting on a new story, I start with the characters and think about what kinds of situations, settings, conflicts, genres, themes, etc I want to write them in. Fantasy is one of my favorite genres because in many ways it feels the most flexible -- I am probably halfway between a pantser and a plotter in terms of story-planning, so I enjoy having space in my plots for them to change if I feel like they need to. I usually know the ending early on in the process tho.
Worldbuilding is one of my favorite aspects of writing and partly why I am so partial to writing AUs. I tend to do more planning for the worldbuilding up front than I do with the plot: my story worlds are scaffolds on which I can build the plot, if that makes sense. I've loved worldbuilding since I was a kid, and I think the best advice I can give for how to build story worlds is to read a lot of books. Books I read as a kid still influence how I worldbuild today (a few that come to mind are the Redwall, Series of Unfortunate Events, Narnia, & May Bird books), as well as videogames (Dragon Age always), places I've actually been, and honestly my academic reading/writing also definitely influences my creative writing, i.e., when thinking about how to write about social conflicts and cultural norms and especially colonization/empire in the worlds I write stories about.
For writing both characters and worldbuilding, I think it's really key to figure out how to suspend your readers' disbelief, and this starts with suspending your own disbelief. You have to believe in the worlds and characters you create. This means being comfortable with writing your characters in all kinds of situations, because people only show a lot of aspects of themselves (and therefore seem like real people, because people & their personalities & motives & backgrounds are complex) if they experience a lot of things. This may be why I gravitate towards writing stories with more dramatic tones and plots, because I find it much more fun to figure out characters by stressing them out. Seriously, I think characters solidify when they're placed in wild situations lol! And these don't necessarily need to be really serious perilous situations, but rather events and conflicts that fundamentally challenge the characters and force you to imagine how they might react in ways that feel true to how you've written them.
For example, one of my favorite character types to write is "kind of a bitch but like, a complicated bitch and kind of justified in their bitchiness because they're going through some stuff." Laurent from Captive Prince definitely falls under this; Keith from VLD, Essek from CR, and Astarion from BG3 also fit into this category (albeit all in really different ways and shades of bitchiness haha). I find these characters fun to write because they're characters who should probably change -- they also have clearly defined flaws and desires, which is great when you have to create a conflict and keep readers engaged/make readers get attached to these characters.
It's tough to root for a character who is consistently a bitch, never feels bad about it, has no reason for being that way, is never critiqued by other characters about it, and is not influenced to change by the narrative at all. It's a lot easier to root for a character who has some kind of inner conflict going on which is complemented by the outer conflict/s of the story. I'm especially fond of characters who have trust issues, because this is a flaw that obviously lends itself well to romance plots, but also can have some very interesting backstory implications and lead to really dynamic yet believable character development, as trust can be built incrementally and also wax and wane in a way that feels natural and builds narrative tension in a compelling way. It also allows you to work on other characters, since trust requires at least two people :)

Not sure if someone asked you this yet but do you have any future plans with Harumi? Specifically the Quiet One?
I know this is really far off in the future but I wanted to ask anyway.
Like, imagine how emotional things would get. If Harumi’s parents die in this, since she’s a well established character by now, will we get to see her grieve for them? Will we see her hatred for the ninja blossom? Since she has many supporting friends in this, will they help her cope and steer her away from extreme revenge? Will she become the “Jade Princess”? How?
And since this AU is kind of a combo of the movie and series, how will Garmadon play into this? Of course, it would depend on what happens to him in the end. Will he need to be resurrected or will he be with his family during these events? Idk.
If Harumi does become the Quiet One, imagine the betrayal the others would feel. She’s friends with all of them, so her hating them (as ninja) would hurt for all of them and not just Lloyd. And Harumi’s reaction to her friends being the ninja? Omg the possibilities.
And speaking of Lloyd, will he develop a crush on her or will the betrayal be focused on them being friends? In this AU, I would also imagine the betrayal being more focused on Jesse, Zane, and Nya (of the ninja ofc) due to them being in the council.
Ughh just thinking of this makes my brain hurt

Ah, what I’m going to do with Harumi...my most closely guarded secret~ No one’s asked me directly, but there’s definitely been a buzz about it! 
To begin with, the reason I brought her in so early is because while I loved all the story beats she brought for the show for Season 8 (and beyond), at the same time, it was a lot to take on out of nowhere. It didn’t fall flat by any means, but its impact could have been so much more if the seeds had been planted earlier, and we’d gotten to see a bit more of the downfall. How she reacted to Garmadon’s ups and downs, the changing status of the ninja, literally everything with Lloyd...and of course, her having more of an effect on all the ninja too. 
(The reaction to her friends being the ninja, especially after Season 2, is especially something I’m looking forward to, hee)
In short, I wouldn’t have gotten Harumi so deeply involved if I didn’t have anything planned ;)
And no need to apologize for the questions! I love answering whatever I can! 
...but ultimately, yeah, that is some pretty far off, big stuff, and I do hope one day I will actually get around to writing it, so I’m not going to expose everything. But, I WILL say: 
We will see her grieve for her parents (and the direct aftermath)
We will see her hatred blossom (but...well, it’s complicated)
Her friends will try to help her (whether they’re successful remains to be seen)
She will become the Jade Princess (but there is no Royal Family in Ninjago, so the title takes on a different meaning in this world. How...is too big to reveal right now. But it’s so fun)
Garmadon will need to be resurrected at that point. Later seasons wouldn’t make sense otherwise
Lloyd will develop a crush on her. That’s too big a part of his character to cut out, especially with the direction of later seasons. But, that being said, it doesn’t happen nearly as fast and there will be focus on them being friends first (which is equally entertaining). 
And don’t even get me started on Jesse’s role in everything...

thank you thank you THANK YOU for the ask!! i took a few screenwriting classes in college before i dropped out like a cool person. and i took part of my inspiration for narrator noah from netflix’s a series of unfortunate events—lemony snicket himself is the narrator and he’s heard the story before but it still upsets him and he can’t really do anything about it, and then later on it’s revealed that he’s heard the story because he was in it, and that just makes his narration all the more sinister. noah has all these hard hitting lines that he delivers somewhat emotionlessly, like he’s just reciting them from memory most of the time, but there are a handful that seem to be unscripted or unplanned or just full of emotion when the rest of them aren’t. which begs the question—how much does he remember? stuck in a time loop of his own creation, beginning and ending with both of his deaths and both of gansey’s deaths, seemingly having gone through it over and over but remembering less and less each time—is he just going through the motions and the emotional moments catch him off guard because he genuinely doesn’t expect them, or does he react the same way each time through, doomed to repeat everything over and over again regardless of how he really feels about it, almost like a longer version of him reenacting his own death? do you become noah when you rewatch the show? interesting to think about!
on the subject of czerny my beloved!!
in my head dead noah and alive noah are played by different actors. they look similar, but costuming hides this as much as possible until the reveal. noah, being a shell of his former self, is thinner, paler, more gaunt, he only wears the aglionby uniform and it’s worn as intended. his personality is really subdued compared to czerny—it only makes sense that the rest of him would be, too. czerny is a bit more filled out. his face is rounder, he’s got a tan, he doesn’t tie his tie correctly and he doesn’t tuck in his shirt. he wears this stupid snapback and a denim jacket with patches on it, mostly blink-182. noah’s voice is soft, it’s got little to no inflection most of the time unless specified. czerny is loud, he takes up space, he’s a goofball. in the world where this tv show is real, some really attentive viewers might draw some parallels between noah and czerny, but ultimately nobody will go the ‘they’re the same person’ route because of how different they are. and then noah will say “i was more when i was alive” and “i’m tired of decaying” and it will make sense why they’re so different. noah is all that’s left.
anyway i very much love talking about the concepts for my trc screenplay bc the tricky thing about script is that ‘show, don’t tell’ is a strict rule rather than just a suggestion like it is in other forms of writing. the narrator is a fun thing to have, but theoretically the show should be able to stand on its own without a narrator. if lost, the narrator’s absence should be felt, but the show can’t be unwatchable after that. so a lot of things that you would think the narrator would say have to be turned into offhand comments or body language or a flashback. it’s not easy AND it means i can’t outright say a lot of things the way i would in a standard fic. all this to say, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING and for the questions and i hope this answers them!! love you!!!

Wandering in a small town sure gets boring once memorized every street, having an entire map ingrained in your mind. But the recent series of events that happened has been the highest entertainment for Jonas. The infamous Kira Yoshikage that has been murdering people —mostly women…— for fifteen years was almost caught. How exciting it was for Jonas, like he was watching an action movie.
Jonas also being a murderous stalker, but nothing much is known about him to figure out what his reasoning could be for his behavior, since he everts topics about himself in any way. Taking enjoyment in finding information down to any detail about a person that peaks his interest and obsesses over that said person —no romances of course.— Especially the surprisingly many killers in Morioh like they’re rare collectible cards. So obviously, Kira is on that list. Though his record’s of murders are unclear since stalking other killers for a long period of time has it’s benefits of copying them too, essentially adding more kill counts on them than him. The amount of blackmail he can find from one person is unbelievable, he’d be a great spy or detective if he wanted, but chose not to. He likes being in the background, pulling strings, wreaking havoc (occasionally), it’s his highest entertainment.
If anyone would pose a threat to him or his files on other people in any way —be it civilian or criminal — they’ll be rid of or framed as soon as he can. And some alternative ways.
Basically he does what he wants and takes the trait of an observer to the extreme. And what he wants to do now is pay Kira a visit! After a few sleepless nights and days of tracking him down all over again, Jonas already knows where he’s hiding.
“Was it fifteen years…? Yeah, I’m sure of it.” Jonas thought, reminding himself of all the information he knew of Kira while walking through an alleyway. “It’s been a while since I’ve bugged him. I’m considering getting him a ‘congratulations-you-didn’t-get-caught’ gift.” They’ve known each other for a while, though Jonas’ visits aren’t frequent, they're always fun.
To him at least, Kira definitely has a different opinion.
“Or just a gift as an apology, because I loosened one of the buttons on his attire on purpose. Who knew such small evidence could cause such a bad day for one man.” A smirk tugged on his lips. It’s a dick move, but hey, it was funny to him.
He’s not sure what kind of gift he could come up with, but if Jonas still can’t set his mind on something before he gets to Kira’s current new house, he’s not getting him anything at all. Does what he did make him feel bad at all? …Maybe? He’s not sure what to feel towards Kira that he got to know personally in the killers mid twenties. “Hmm… One day I might figure that out.” He shrugged.

It was sudden, but he was pushed to one of the walls in the tight space of the alleyway by some stranger that snuck up on him. It happened faster than Jonas could react. And plus, how dare they interrupt his train of thought?
The supposed attacker got too close to his face, rummaging through his pockets, “ughhh… just some random mugger.” Jonas cringed as he pushed himself further onto the wall. He’s not phased by the fact he’s being robbed, simply uncomfortable and annoyed that the stranger is all up in his personal space. “I don’t have time for this…” he pushed away his feeling of discomfort once they reached for his backpack and kicked the stranger off himself. A swift wack to the head and they’re knocked out. “Psh, you must be pretty desperate to attack someone bigger than you.” He says to himself, not caring if the other wasn’t listening.
“Should I kill them? Nahhh, I don’t have the time to hide them or frame their death to someone else…” he’s now thinking out loud, “argh, and I still don't know what gift to -“ his eyes widened as an idea clicked.
A moment passed, and the now shrunken, knocked out pred is being held by Jonas with both hands underneath their arms, like a doll. “Oh, this is gonna be priceless.” He whispered as he carefully placed them in his small leather backpack, as to not wake them up because Jonas would love to save them a very rude awakening later.
He gets up from his crouching position and slings the backpack over his shoulders, continuing his walk with an upbeat skip to it. Jonas really hopes he still has time to stay over this late afternoon alone with Kira, when that woman and child are out doing whatever, he’s not bothered to care. Finding Kira again wasn’t difficult, but the amount of time of scheduling for this specific day to be ruined will surely piss him off.
The doorbell's ringing is heard throughout the Kawajiri house, which made Kira become alerted immediately. Who was in his now bedroom, still learning to copy a deceased man’s handwriting. Who the hell could that be at a time like this?
He already knows that it can’t be the wife and child, the woman obviously had the keys with her. Was he already found out by those brats? Or that guy in a white coat that almost fucking killed him? Was his act so poor that the woman called the cops?
Kira peek’s through the peephole of the front door and… no one was there.
“So! A family guy now, huh?” Came from his left and he swore he felt his soul leave his body, swiftly turning to the person who said it. “It really doesn’t suit you in my opinion.”
It was Jonas, who somehow appeared lounging on the living room couch. Kira put both his hands on his face, sighing deeply to calm his nerves. “Whyyyyyy do you do this to me…” he’s clearly already annoyed. Jonas completely ignores this, “You took too long so I broke in through one of the windows.”
“Seven years… and you still somehow scare the shit out of me every time…” Kira groans, he’s already stressed enough with other stand users after his head and getting used to his new identity, now with his headaches again that comes and goes. —that is Jonas. —
“Awwww, you kept track of our years of ‘friendship’.” Jonas said, in an exaggerated sarcastic baby voice. “Also, black hair doesn’t look good on you either. Ever thought of bleaching it?” He flicks his hand towards Kira’s direction, the sass is unmatched in this guy. Kira scoffs, “Where are you going with this? Get to the point already so you’ll leave faster, I’m not in the mood for your antics.” He really hates that he’s being reminded that he’s constantly watched by someone like Jonas, who sighed and moved to lay on his side. “When are you ever in the mood.” Kira attempted to kill him a few times when first meeting him, but failed to do so every time. His agility and stamina is incredible to say the least. And able to jump from building to building like an acrobat, without needing to use his stand? Yeah he gave up after a few days. Though he was never able to see his stand, even when he attacked him, because Jonas claimed he didn’t think using his stand to defend himself against him was necessary. The way he felt disrespected by that…
Jonas sat up, and though not often showing much facial expression than just a constant tired smirk, his hands fidgeting shows that he’s a little nervous. “Well, it’s been a few days longer than usual in my schedule to check on you, also on my way here I got you a ‘congratulations-you-didn’t-get-caught’ gift.” He’s obviously not gonna admit he had something to do with Kira’s situation. Kira doesn’t seem to believe he’s being genuine, “I swear if it’s another one of your pranks-“ Jonas cuts him off, “no no no no nooooo, it really is a gift! I mean, I guess you could call them ‘your supper’.” He laughs a little, though Kira quirks a brow. “Them?”
“Don’t worry, I cleaned them thoroughly.” Jonas opened his backpack that was on his lap and a series of muffled cursing could be heard from the inside, which got Kira to inch closer.
Jonas lifted the little pred —now prey — by the back of their shirt collar, thrashing in his grip. “This little shit tried to do something funny, so I turned the tables on them.” He gives the prey a hard flick to the head with his other hand, earning a yelp from the little thing. Neither the pred nor the bigger observer acknowledged what they have to say, as if they’re nothing.
Kira looks visibly stiff by the sight of his ‘gift’. The prey is basically the size of his forearm, a foot long even. “Yeah… no thank you, I don’t think I can handle that.” He crosses his arms over his chest. “Oh come oooon now, don’t make this awkward.” Jonas pretends to be hurt, exaggerating it as well, getting up from the couch and holding the prey closer to Kira’s face. “I worked soooo hard getting this for you.”
Kira knows he’s pressuring him by using the key word ‘awkward’ because he actually feels awkward now, stupid Jonas using his social awkwardness against him. The smell of something similar to a meaty broth and a mixture of fear from the prey are filling his senses, but still keeping his composure to reject it by turning his nose up.
Of course, Jonas knows the exact words to get him to do what he wants. “Who knows what they wanted from me!” He leans closer, his smirk turning a bit more sinister. “They could be one of those that are after you, why else would they attack me and search my pockets specifically? I know I handled it myself, but now that I brought them here to you and stuff…” Jonas grimaces and sucks air between closed teeth, acting guilty. “I admit, that’s my fault. I could let them go and it would be over for your ‘quiet life’. And I’ll be damned if you use your stand. Either way, it’s such a waste for something I put some effort into for you to reject it.” Could this count as a threat? Well, as long as he gets what he wants. And Kira listened intently to every word, it’s true that the little trembling mess in front of him could put him at risk if Jonas were to let them free. Also fully knowing it’s futile to use Killer Queen or even Sheer heart attack to pry them from Jonas’ hands, putting him in a difficult position. He’s somehow both smart and a dumbass.
He exhaled in defeat. “You make a really good point, like always…” Kira grumbled, he’s right. Jonas is right and he hates it, every damn time. He reluctantly takes the prey by the scruff from Jonas’ gloved hands as the ridiculously tall observer pats on one of the cushions of the same couch he was lounging before, signaling him to sit there. Even more stupidly smug as hell, knowing he was right.
Kira scoffed but did as instructed. Still unsure if he’d be able to handle the size of the prey, he takes a few seconds to brace himself before giving them a lick across their face. What if their wonderful scent could be deceiving?
They were silent a moment before, but the action seemed to snap the prey out of their shocked state, becoming a sobbing mess and mumble unintelligible pleas that fell onto deaf ears.
The taste was proven wrong to Kira, a loud groan emitted from his core. He turns away from Jonas, as the observer is, well, observing him. Kneeling beside the arm of the couch with his arms propped up and leaning his head in his hands. Would’ve been easier for Kira if he wasn’t there because his face is already pretty flushed in embarrassment. Nevertheless, he’s now eager to go through with it.
Making sure the prey's arms are pinned tightly against their sides with both of his hands, he shoves their head into his awaited maw, the saltiness from their tears heightened the flavor. He pushes them a little further to the back of his mouth and attempts to swallow, but that doesn't manage to send the prey down at all. He tries again, harder this time, but they still wouldn’t budge.
Jonas came into view, chuckling. “Silly, you still have your tie on. Let me get that for you.” He pulls the tie loose then grabs the little legs that are wriggling outside of the pred’s mouth. “Let’s try that again, hm? Third time’s the charm.” And gave a small shove with the assist of Kira’s swallowing, the prey’s head is finally inside his throat. It was stretched a little too much for Kira’s liking, it felt uncomfortable but he’ll manage. It’s a bit humiliating to him that he needed help though, but it doesn’t matter as of now that he’s slipped into a trance, focusing on the preys struggling. “Oh he is absolutely out of it.” Jonas thought, continuing to watch as he was licking along the torso of his prey, tasting them more as saliva dripped down the corner of his lips before swallowing again.
It was much more effective than last time, and resulted in half of their legs and up getting pulled in. His stomach growled impatiently again for its meal. Jonas smiles and reaches to rub it a little, causing it to make more noises and encourage the dazed pred to swallow the prey once more. But it got difficult again, which Jonas noticed right away.
With one last push and swallow of what was left outside of Kira’s maw, the prey is now completely enveloped. He gave out a huff, feeling out of breath. He can still feel them squirming as they descend through his esophagus. And Jonas admires watching the lump in Kira’s neck disappear into his chest.
Continuing to admire the pred as the prey filled up his empty belly, causing it to grumble happily at its meal.
Kira hiccuped because the feeling of uncomfortable fullness was sudden to his stomach, and the prey’s squirms weren't helping. Neither is the tightness of his button up. Actually, he’s not feeling so good.
The satisfied gurgles turned into whines as the prey inside kept fighting against the poor cramped organ. A hard hit caused him to groan a little from the pain.
Jonas is just taking in the sight of Kira being in a vulnerable state, absolutely loving every second of it. “Awww, not feeling too well?” And of course, taking the opportunity to tease him. “The big bad cereal killer of Morioh can’t handle a little lively prey?” Jonas sits beside Kira, who’s already flustered by his teasing, glaring at him. However, Jonas ignored him again and wiped the drool from his chin with a thumb. “Do you need to be pampered?” Flustering Kira further, angry about it as well.
The observer's instinct to assist the pred couldn’t be helped. Being the bigger one, to care and protect the unwell pred also shifted in his mind. He unbuttons Kira’s shirt just around the stomach. Kira would complain, but he feels a lot better now that his distended belly gets more space. Jonas reaches to rub it again, but is interrupted. “Couldn’t you be bothered to take your gloves off..?” Kira half mumbled, a bit drowsy because of feeling so full.
“Sure, if that would make the feeling better. But if it’s because you’re curious about my hands again I will clock you.” Jonas sounded sarcastic, but something about it feels like it wasn’t, which got Kira nervously averting eye contact. Jonas sighs but hesitantly does so, and sets his gloves on the armrest of the couch.
This is now the second time he’s shown his slender scarred hands, that he dislikes, to the same person that likes hands a little too much, who described them to be very beautiful and ‘the scars add some handsome ruggedness’. He was definitely not concerned about his safety.
Jonas puts an arm around Kira, moving him to lean against his chest since he seems too drowsy to want to move. Kira wanted to protest this, he really does, but he feels so comfortable and safe he could sleep right then and there. Until Jonas wrapped his other arm around him to rub the still whining gut. Every coherent thought left his mind as he melted to the warmth from Jonas’ bigger hand kneading away any cramps, snuggling up more onto him.
Jonas just happy to be of assistance, idly listening to the content burbling from the belly. Then another sound reached his ears, “Are you… purring?” He wasn’t given a response as there are no thoughts going on in Kira’s mind currently. Well it proved his theory that his stand, Killer Queen, makes both it and Kira equivalent to a cat. He is so not letting go of this fact.
He can feel Kira’s stomach soften a bit under his hand and the prey suddenly stopped fussing in there, so he gives a push into it that makes an audible slosh before surprising Kira by making him release a sudden burp. Embarrassed, he whispered a quiet ‘I hate you’. Jonas softly chuckled and whispered a mocking ‘no you don’t’ back.
Other than that, both are huddled together in comfortable silence. — besides Kira’s purring— The pred soon drifted off to sleep in Jonas’ embrace who can’t help but smirk that he has the notorious killer in Morioh wrapped around his finger, or in this case, his arms at the moment. They rarely show vulnerability and relax together, but the rarity is what makes their partnership special. — even if Kira would never admit it—
“I really should leave any minute now” Jonas looks down at the shorter man peacefully sleeping, still purring and snuggled up on his chest. He ran a hand through Kira’s hair, smiling fondly. “A minute longer couldn’t hurt, he definitely needed this.” He’s absolutely spoiling him.

OMORI 2 (spoiler warning for OMORI)
I highly doubt that there will ever be an official sequel to OMORI. However, the idea of it is fun to play with.
Let's get the most obvious thing out of the way: No matter which way you slice it, OMORI's story is complete, done, tied up with a bow. A direct sequel, prequel, or midquel game would be nigh impossible to pull off well. The story is just too self-contained to allow an entirely new game that branches off of it, and I am extremely annoyed that people think otherwise. A continuation would work better in the form of something like a short story or comic, not a full-fledged 25-hour RPG.
"But what about a game about Sunny at his new home?"
"But what about game that shows how Aubrey, Kel, and Hero reacted to the truth?"
"But what about a POV shift to another character?"
These are examples of direct sequel ideas that, while not bad, would work infinitely better as a different form of media and not an RPG. (plus the three friends’ reactions were SUPPOSED to be left up to player interpretation)
I get that we're attached to these characters and want to see how they grow and progress, especially after the good ending, but there's no dancing around it. A direct continuation would not work as a full-fledged RPG because there would be no “game” to speak of.
This is why I propose the idea that an OMORI 2 would start fresh with a new story, setting, and cast of characters. This is similar to, for example, what the Final Fantasy series does. Each mainline entry is its own contained world and storyline (with a few exceptions such as X-2 being a direct sequel to X), but still has plenty of aspects in both gameplay and story tropes that unify them as a series.
This isn’t a brand-new concept. To quote the TV Tropes page on Thematic Series:
Unlike a typical series, a Thematic Series does not follow the same characters or story; instead, it follows the same themes. For instance, a series may focus on themes of war, but with each installment centering on completely different people being affected by completely different wars. One might recognize a few nods to past installments here and there. If the installments share any characters at all, they will be side characters or it may be in the form of a cameo by a former main character of a different chapter.
I wouldn’t write this whole text wall without sharing my own ideas, so here they are!

OMORI was originally planned to allow the player to select Sunny/Omori’s gender (M/F), but the idea was scrapped due to the crew having to redraw all the art. I would bring back the gender selection with a NB option to boot.
Also I looked up Hail on babynames.com out of curiosity and I think I can work with this meaning.

Some stuff I wrote down in a .txt file:
While OMORI 2 is not connected to OMORI in terms of story, they do take place in the same world, with some minor connections to the first game (such as the Pet Rocks games getting sequels or Captain Spaceboy becoming a huge multimedia franchise).
While the Headspace in OMORI is more wacky and cartoonish, I want the Headspace in OMORI 2 to have a somewhat different feel to it. Maybe something more akin to a grand adventure rather than silly antics. It could have a little high-fantasy flavor mixed in (emphasis on "little").
I imagine Hail to be very hateful and misanthropic, save for their friends (similar to Omoriboy from that old blog)... But what happened to them that made them this way? Maybe it wasn't a single event, but multiple throughout their life, and Hail has to confront each of them one by one. Maybe the game could be in several acts, with each confrontation increasing in intensity.
Since this game takes place about a decade after OMORI, I could have some Faraway Town NPCs (such as Cris or Mincy) make an appearance... or even be a playable character.
There are some quotes from the OMORI 2014 trailer and the Omoriboy comics that I want to play into: "Anything fun is just a distraction from how much the real world sucks..." "You're not crazy if even one person believes in you..." "Too bad saving the world isn't as easy as these games make it out to be..."
There will probably be a Hikikomori Route or something adjacent to it.
Omori is an in-universe brand of piano, which is why Omori the character from the first game has elements of a piano in his design (his shirt is the top, his striped shorts are the keys, and his socks are the legs). In our world, there is a company called Casio that makes pianos (albeit electric ones), but they also make watches, calculators, and other devices. So, what if Omori the company is basically the equivalent of Casio, and Hail's dream persona was still called Omori? (similar to how almost every Final Fantasy has some incarnation of Cid) That would mean that there's some sort of physical object that holds importance to the story.
Due to the fact that OMORI 2 likely wouldn't revolve around dissociative amnesia like the first game, the lightbulb in the logo will likely have to be replaced.
For the horror bits, I should delve into more of the psych-horror genre for inspiration. Similarly, I should play some Yume Nikki fangames for more inspiration (Yume 2kki, .flow, etc.)
If I'm being completely honest with myself, this game probably wouldn't be as good as OMORI, though that's usually how it is with like 80% of sequels.
In OMORI, all of Sunny's friends were directly affected by Mari's death. How do I connect Hail's friends with the main conflict so that they aren't just there for the sake of existing?
While I should keep similarities to the first game for OMORI 2 to be called a sequel, I also don't want it to just be OMORI again but with a different coat of paint. Similarly, I don't want any of the characters to simply be clones of those from the first game (other than Omori himself, who is somewhat the same, even with a different incarnation). 
I have to be EXTRA CAREFUL to avoid romanticizing, sugarcoating, or truncating heavy themes. However, I also can't be too overboard with it or else it comes off as insensitive. It's a delicate balance.
Will I end up projecting myself and my own issues onto Hail? Probably.
I want to have the real-world sections take place in a big city... but I grew up in a fairly rural area surrounded by farmland and sports fields, meaning that my sources of inspiration are pretty lacking.
An idea that I had was that, since OMORI has themes of forgiving oneself, OMORI 2 could have themes of forgiving others. However, I'd be playing with fire, since I could accidentally deliver a toxic message.
None of this will probably be an actual game, as I'd need composers, artists, funding, people who are skilled with RPG Maker, and probably permission from OMOCAT and crew.
If I decide to develop this idea further, I’ll probably delegate it to a second blog.

(Anon from theblackqveen on Daemon’s casting) I’d forgotten that they would’ve had to age up both Viserys and Daemon since they aged Rhaenyra up. iirc in the book Daemon was 24 at the start of the story and Viserys was 28. I’m 24 myself, and trying to envision Matt as someone my age was taking me out of the story a bit. But makes perfect sense they’d have made the same age jump so we don’t have to imagine Viserys becoming a father at like 14 (which wouldn’t be unheard of, but definitely more far fetched). I had no idea that people reacted so poorly to his casting. He’s very talented and has really driven so many scenes. I remember people making fun of the wig, but that’s all. No hard feelings of course!
Pretty sure that the age is more about how old Daemon was when Rhaenyra was 15/16 years old, which would be 30/31. Rhaenyra was born in 97 A. C, Daemon 81 A. C, they have 16 years apart from each other. Since the story starts with the events moved from when Rhaenyra was eight to when she was fifteen, he was always 30/31 in the show (and Viserys 35/36), and technically so he was when the scandal happened in the books. To be honest, I rarely consider that part the start of the story because if one thinks about it, the whole Steptones plot and Rhea herself basically plot device to keep Daemon away while Rhaenyra grows ups, so the thing with the egg and stuff always looks like a prologue for me.
It's confusing but they basically moved the event from the third year of Viserys' reign to the ten.
Which is kind of shitty when you think about Daemon's life at the start of the series, to be honest, he has been married to Rhea for fifteen years. No wonder he is bitter.
No hard feelings, to be honest, in my case, I never imagined Daemon as a young person. Maybe because I don't do with younger men or because the time skips on the books just let the more relevant events when he is past his twenties.

My most recent read book was written by our own @dadpat-tactual and, full disclosure, he told me that it was in a fairly unedited state and that he was working on revisions.
Now I know how I am about editing my own work, and thought that could take eons if he's anything like me, so I picked it up anyway.
I do think it's appreciable as a series of vignette sections amongst a fairly standard post-apocypse backdrop. But I must be honest to say that there's not really enough going on here. There seems to be a sequel in the works, and a prequel, but I really would have liked a tighter narrative right Here.
Spoilers and extended thoughts be ahead here:
I don't think our main character was actually ever described, nor was our villain. I'm imagining him with a hook for a hand because that's fun! We got more description for a random bartender! Our hero also has very little agency and seems to just stumble into events or be put on paths by other characters. He wants to regain his lost memories but has no good ideas on how to retrieve them and that desire hardly comes up anyway.
He's also a bit of a textbook Mary Sue or Gary Stu in this case, wherein he's great at fighting and every woman is interested in him, completely altruistic with no faults.
There was a section at the docks that, as far as this book was concerned, was inconsequential, only existing to introduce Gentle Crew. Their raid on the ship seems to be the story our author really wanted to tell.
There's also a tone issue where everything is quite serious but also constantly jokey. We got to a Lynyrd Skynyrd reference and I was like okay hell yeah let's get silly. I was full on expecting our gruff manly men to bond over country rock and break out into an impromptu karaoke session. It would have been hilarious. But no they just have a bar fight, which also doesn't serve any overall narrative purpose. Maybe someone knew who Evan was and had this fight staged to eliminate him? Just an idea.
Brother it's okay, get silly! It's an apocalypse, have fun with it! Let our heroes be larger than life. Carl scratched the surface at least. Everybody thinks Evan is a super soldier so just let him be Solid Snake-like. Let him be near superhero levels, why not?
Evan sleeps with Ellie after knowing her for like a day and later she says they're just friends and I'm over here like "WOW savage" but he doesn't react at all? Okay.
There's a scene where everyone in the market is taking shelter from a hail of bullets, including the faceless mayor. And our freedom fighter Ellie is in view of him and doesn't shoot him in the confusion? I guess she's unarmed for some reason or doesn't have a shot. Which would be fine but that needs to be stated. And later there's a plot to snipe him as he makes a speech and I'm thinking why not a Claymore pointing towards him in the podium? That makes so much sense. It doesn't have to work but somebody should have thought about it. It's safe and logical. And he's kinda made into a joke when he tickets a woman for jaywalking??? He's also out on the town by himself walking into a house with people who want him dead and they do nothing but chat with him.
It's an okay book.
This isn't a callout post; I hope it doesn't read like one. Our author is a good man this story is just half-baked as is.

Shepard AMA round 3
Thanks to @spookyvalentine for putting these together, this is a ton of fun!
1. How often does Shepard use the omni-blade? - Pretty often. Her fighting style is... weird. Either long distance sniping, or close in with a Charge and jab; especially if cloaked. Either way, it's a favorite!
2. What does the Virmire Survivor think of Shepard? - They were pretty good friends! They shared a spiritual streak, an appreciation for the wonders of space, being legacy recruits; Ash even helped Shepard get back into an appreciation for poetry. They were pretty damn close, and that's what made Horizon cut so deep- especially after Ashley had grown to respect Shepard's commitment to integrating with wider galactic society & soundly shutting down any ideas of 'humanity is special', seeing her with Cerberus was a slap to the face. (They did make up, though.)
3. Top three comfort movies: The Blasto series, a 4-hour documentary on Earth's ocean life, and The Princess Bride. (I'm convinced that one'll make it xD)
4. How many languages can they speak (without the translator)? - Adrian made it a point to understand and be mildly proficient in the most commonly used asari, salarian & turian dialects as she was growing up- not great, but she can make herself understood. Additionally, her upbringing & constant moving around has left her with a passing understanding of several other Citadel races' languages- can't speak half of them, but she can understand like, basic directions and the like. (As well as an enormous amount of profanity)
5. Does Shepard keep a log/journal? - She keeps a basic log of events, considering her role, but she also started keeping a personal little scrapbook when she was around ten or so. (Against all odds, it outlived her.)
6. What kind of driver is Shepard? - Adventurous. This is not a compliment, nor necessarily a criticism. (Tali actually wound up taking over a lot of the Mako driving when there was a more pressing mission, because at least she knew how to stay on task-)
7. Shepard witnesses a petty crime. What is their response? - Honestly? If it's something that's not actively hurting someone else, Adrian just... doesn't really give a shit. She might head the perpetrator off and give a lecture/help depending on the situation.
8. Revenge, or the high road? - 80% high road, 20% revenge is nice, actually.
9. What will always distract them? - Nature. Most ground missions are in fact 90% of Shepard actively reining herself in from wandering off because everything is so fucking pretty, yes even the smog-covered glorified asteroids. Virmire in particular was... interesting. It was so awful- but so beautiful.
10. Does Shepard ascribe to any sort of faith? - She was always vaguely religious, but never ascribed to any particular faith until meeting Thane. There's initially some awkwardness because, while drell polytheism isn't closed, converts- especially alien converts- are really fucking rare; they spent a lot of time with the priests and elders on the Citadel for a while. (Adrian finds herself most drawn to Kalahira, incidentally.)
11. Fondest childhood memory? - 👀 This may be getting a more in-depth write up. Short version for now: The first time she experienced a beach on Earth. (At about 16 years old.)
12. Most embarrassing adult memory? - Getting smashed on ryncol and waking up on the bathroom floor... a second time...
13. What does Shepard choose to do about Gavin Archer? - Never did that DLC.
14. Is Shepard the type to gossip? - She doesn't spread much, but she loves to hear what's going on; Mordin and Joker are her favorites when she needs to get some info.
15. How does Shepard react to Garrus’s Archangel reveal? - Disappointed but not surprised. I usually get Mordin before Garrus & I always imagined he had some info; either way, as soon as she heard rumors that Archangel was a turian, she just... knew. She very much hoped he would try to do something more peaceful, but alas.
16. What was the N7 program like for Shepard? - Grueling- but not as much as it could be for other candidates. She'd been preparing for this pretty much her entire life, and failure wasn't an option- not out of any sense of family pride though, but because like fuck was she going to have gone through all that and not reach N7.

18. What choice does Shepard make on Rannoch?  - The details here are fuzzy, all I remember is Legion died but the ultimate outcome was saving everyone possible.
19. Which kind of reaper do they think is the ugliest - ehh... Omen? Honestly, from a purely aesthetic standpoint, she finds the Reapers fascinating!
20. Can they dance? - Yes... in a partnered dance. Solo, she's godawful and thoroughly aware & uncaring of it.
21. What is Shepard’s relationship with Hackett? - Respectful. She appreciates his assistance and faith in her, but they never became particularly close.
22. What’s their alignment? Paragon, renegade, a mix… - Paragade. She strives to take the high road, but sometimes you've just got to sink low and get threatening. (Basically takes the paragon/charm route as often as possible, but will not back away from some impulse & intimidating options if they'll get the job done.)
23. Got any allergies? How bad? - Nothing in particular.
24. When’s their birthday, and how old are they? - Basic bitch who rolls with canon here; April 11th and 29-31 depending on point in the series.
25. Trash talk or potty mouth - Trash talk on the whole; Shepard swearing is usually a sign that things are going really south.
26. What’s their temper like? - A tsunami. A slow build and sneaks up on her, and nasty once it finally hits- on the whole she manages it well enough, though, but sometimes you get a lot of high stress things in a row and throw a merc out a window... (I'm sorry I can only weigh character more than over the top vindictive gamer moves so often xD)
27. What does Shepard think of Bakara? - Amazing, and a fantastic influence for Wrex. They became fast friends on the Normandy, but unfortunately, things got in the way and that's about it :(

30. Who’s got the biggest crush on Shepard? - Barring her actual boyfriend/husband? For some reason I've always figured Miranda kind of has a Thing. (Garrus and Tali are both lightly smitten, but not quite so much.)
31. What kind of relationship do they have with Dr. Chakwas? Which doctor do they bring her on board for 3, and why? - Overall, very close- Chakwas is up there with Anderson in people to turn to when Shepard has an 'I need an adult' moment. She's good for talking over a problem and getting advice, and the two have commiserated over coming from backgrounds that essentially funneled them into their current lives, and how inescapable it can feel. Chakwas 100% came back because it just isn't the Normandy without her.
32. Who has Shepard’s grudging respect? - For a very brief while, The Illusive Man - guy's a dick of massive proportions, but at least he was doing something about the Collectors. And then he proved to be even more of a dick who could fuck all the way off.
33. Reaction to the window over their sr-2 bed - Startled, but liked it in the end. She's not fond of being completely boxed up, and it can be nice when they're docked planetside.
34. Does Shepard want children? - Not particularly, and she recognizes a lot of it comes down to selfishness- most of her life has felt like putting others first. She doesn't want to keep that up, if she ever somehow leaves the Alliance. That said- she named Kolyat her primary beneficiary after her death (and had she lived, with or without Thane, she would have looked out for him if he was receptive). She also does jokingly call Grunt her son, but they've got a more sibling vibe going on.
35. What does Shepard consider their greatest mistake? - Akuze.
There's a reason she stands and fights every thresher maw she encounters- Akuze was a rare time where she directly disobeyed orders, and ran instead of staying to fight.
Logically, she knows she wasn't going to turn the tide when there were multiple maws attacking, trying to fight was a suicide mission; it was an extraordinary circumstance and deemed an acceptable choice. Still- she broke rank and ran, they stayed and fought. They died, she gets commendations and condolences.
37. Does Shepard ever play matchmaker? - Not intentionally- but she is kind of responsible for Tali & Garrus hooking up, as well as Gabby and Ken.
38. A silly daydream: Leaving the Alliance. Building a home near the beach. Maybe switch to becoming a diplomat or negotiator; something where she can still travel the galaxy and do good, but less violent.
39. What kind of media do they consume the most? - Music. Sometimes audio books, movies are a rare treat because it's difficult to get her to sit down for that long.
40. Favorite ice cream flavor - Dark chocolate with cookie crumbles- but there's also a sorbet from some fruit on Kajhe, she will drop damn near everything to get ahold of it when it's in season.
41. If Shepard has a LI, what would they say are a couple of Shepard’s flaws? And strengths? - Thane would say that they're roughly the same things. She's remarkably determined, and works herself to the bone to resolve conflict and unite everyone possible. But she's treading a fine line between hero and martyr, and there's been some heated words where her desire to save everyone clashes with the reality that not everyone can be saved.
42. Are they quick to laugh, or slow to smile? - Very quick to laugh and smile through ME1. Post-Virmire, and especially ME2, she's still quick but they're significantly shallower and fleeting. Joker amps up the wisecracking because for a long while, he's the only one who recognizes just how fucking bad that was.
43. What does it take to earn Shepard’s trust? - Honesty. Hell, even if you're a chronic backstabber jackass, she'll offer you some trust so long as you're upfront about being a jackass.
44. Top three people shepard thinks are hotties: Thane, Aria, Garrus. (Honorable mention to Matriarch Aethyta.)
45. What’s the easiest way to gross them out? - That's a question the galaxy has yet to answer, and may never get.
46. What are some of their favorite combo moves with team members out on the field? - Tali sending out a drone while Shepard Charges in like a freight train! Other fun options involve the other snipers laying some suppressing fire while she cloaks and gets in close.
47. Can they forgive easily, or are they the type to hold a grudge? - 'Forgive' is a strong word. Overall, she tends to let things go once they're done, unless there's repeated bullshit (see: Council).
48. Does Shepard have a good sense of direction - In the wild? Yes. In stations and urban zones? Just dump her in the Backrooms she's never getting out of there.
49. Did they enjoy their party on the Citadel? - Never got that DLC so it never happened :'D
50. What is Shepard’s ending? - Synthesis.
A lifetime spent in service, to the point where even her death comes by giving up her entire being in the hopes that it will save as many as possible- there's no ethical choice here, she hates it but at least it means minimal death or fucking over of free will. (That & I have some light Synthesis headcanons that make it less altering the galaxy's living and more of a trigger command- that the galaxy achieved a point of creating the Crucible & that they have achieved a balanced cyborg situation... it's very rough draft but i'm the weirdo who actually likes the gist of that ending & also wants their Shepard decidedly dead.)
It's also... very motivated by selfishness. She will be gone. No one and nothing can put her back together for another mission, she can be well and truly done.
(But also- ok so weirdly I'm not big on making  'everyone lives' AUs here, but.
I kind of like to imagine Mordin wound up being at least a little right.
That a couple decades down the line, in a galaxy at peace and finally growing instead of just healing, there's a human and a drell who meet in passing. They get to talking about something, and for a moment- just a second- there's something like the echo of a memory in the way one talks, a gesture they make. They're not high profile, either of them, but if a Normandy survivor saw them... well, it might give them pause.)
+1 …got any kinks? ... definitely, but I've never fleshed it out beyond 'oh she's into something' xD Putting some actual thought into it, I do think a certain sort of praise/worship thing would ping something for her. She's deeply uncomfortable about being singled out in public; but in private, with the right person? Might be a different story...
Ok coming back to this as I've been shaking off the rust and familiarizing myself with everything, I'm not sure how they'd pick up on it but: yeah very praise focused sub.

Hello Boa-h-san~~! I'm here to sharing a brainrot: Recently I was watching some of my favorite comedy and fantasy movies and I don't know if you know the movie Nanny MCPhee or Mary Poppins, but after watching I just I can imagine Y/N being a motherly/paternal figure for ASL Bros. I can only imagine how funny it would be for them to have someone with magical powers (not Devil Fruit powers) as a mother/father. The reaction of the others is just hilarious, how the hell does Y/N have everything and even the most unusual things to have inside their purse that is always empty?! Like for example taking a ham much bigger than their purse to give to Luffy as a snack. AND WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY CARRY SOMETHING LIKE THAT INSIDE THEIR PURSE IN THE FIRST PLACE?! Now everyone understands how Luffy is so chaotic, his mother/father figure is equally… Eccentric? The ASL Trio love them to the moon and back, but they are equally afraid of them when they gets angry because they is at the level of a Yonko (or be a bit stronger if we want more crackhead energy), they just prefers to stay out of the spotlights, as they loves taking care of children instead of getting involved in petty and stupid fights. You know those kind of people who hide their anger and craving to kick the shit out of someone wiht a sweet and kind smile? they are that kind of person. Even Whitebeard, Garp and Shanks know very well not to piss them off, the same goes for the other yonko (they all learned the hard way). Not even the Marine or WG isn't stupid enough to want to fight them or go after their "children" aka aal kids or teenagers they took under their wing and raised as their own blood (they gives Whitebeard a run for his money by adopting all the kids and teenagers they encounters and needs a mother/father figure). Having them around is simply chaos and breaking the laws of physics. (Law is a man of science since he's a doctor is losing his shit living with Y/N's eccentricities and oddities during his stay on the Sunny, during and after the events of Punk Hazard and eventually Dressrosa, Zou and Wano.) (Me: … Now I'm tempted to ask about headcannons, that's if you're okay to do it, Boa-h-san).
oooohhh,, i’ve never actually watched any western shows or movies other than the wizarding world series. but the idea of the purse seems fun >:0 like hermione’s beaded handbag that she casted with the undetectable extension charm!!
i actually don’t know how ace and sabo would react to it, would definitely think it’s cool but i have no idea what they would ask for 🤔 luffy would definitely ask her for random and weird things to pull out from that purse until someone stops him LOL

Reblogging The Conquering Nose is one thing, but reblogging Heartocalypse: Silver’s College Diary is a trip. I had forgotten how much sheer fun it was, playing and writing as Silver, who is probably the character most unlike me (and that includes villains I’ve felt obliged to write through and whose POVs I ditched the first moment I could) I’ve ever written.
You will be familiar with the truism that, in order to create a character, a writer (or, presumably, actor) must put some of themself into it. This is inevitable and necessary. Our experiences, our fears, our hopes, our ways of thinking give us a basis for understanding other human beings and their actions in real life, and for portraying them in our creative work. But the necessary correlate that is generally undiscussed and appears to go unnoticed is, that in order to create any range of characters (as opposed to a series of alternate versions of ourselves), with three dimensions, voice, and agency, we must also use elements that are very much not us. 
I have seen people who do not go around engaging in creative character work appear genuinely puzzled by even such superficial differences as, for instance, my writing a character who likes olives when I consider them to have one of the vilest tastes I have ever had to expel precipitately from my mouth, which has got to be one of the lowest levels of empathy there can be. All I have to do is imagine that someone who likes olives reacts to them as I do to, say, a cherry, the gush of flavor and the texture between the teeth and on the tongue and the lingering aftertaste pressing against the membranes of my mouth urging me to have another. Heck, if the olive and the character’s enjoyment of it are not part of something I’m developing in the scene, I don’t even have to imagine all that; I can just say: “Maryjohn made a beeline for the olive dish and divided her attention between Johnmary’s exposition and popping them into her mouth,” and use the business incidental to consuming olives to break up Johnmary’s exposition into consumable databursts. 
This is easy, and so is a good opening wedge for developing Maryjohn into someone distinct from me, to her getting her own voice and agency and being capable of responding to the events of the story effectively so that the story happens and resolves in a satisfying way and she has an essential role in it. And maybe Johnmary reacts to Maryjohn’s olive business in a way that begins developing him and whatever relationship lies between them, too - reaching for an olive himself, frowning at her for eating so many, rolling his eyes and passing her a fresh lemonade when the brine makes her thirsty. Maybe Johnmary is a secret villain and feels the same way I do about olives, giving me an in to understanding and developing him. Get the ball rolling and there’s no telling how big the snowball will get or where it will end up.
I have always written most effectively by character immersion: by placing myself behind their imaginary eyes and temporarily becoming them enough to know what they will do or think or say next, retaining only enough of my conscious self to put down their experience in writing. So much of this goes on my backbrain that it’s difficult to talk about, but I rely on it absolutely and no matter what else is going on I can trust it to happen, whether I’m writing or playing a tabletop RPG or simming. 
Simming, for the most part, is the least immersive of these processes because I am observing and interpreting behavior before I am vicariously experiencing it. This is one of the reasons i like simming so much. It gives me easy access to characters it would normally be a strain to write because I have so little in common with them. Extroverts weird me out and I can’t be with them for long at a time, but extroverted sims delight me. I am monogamous, but Romance sims who, even if I don’t allow them polyamoury, are programmed for roving eyes add a lot of interest to my games by creating drama I prefer to avoid in real life. They can be stupid without me having to work out in what way this person is stupid, and they can be smart without input from me. They create their own storylines without my going to the effort of digging into their heads,  even before I know them well enough to hear their voices.
So when I started documenting the challenge in first person, writing as Rhett was an interesting change from my normal writing process, but I still had rules to follow and a plot to shape. it was work as well as play and that was all good fun, but then Silver went to college and I decided on the diary conceit and - wow!
It was straight-up ordinary college play - no plot, a few simple rules, LTWs and want panels, the game mechanics, my understanding of the characters involved - but instead of me I was Silver, trauma-free but not issue-free, goal-oriented, confident to the point of hubris, constitutionally incapable of minding his own business, with no responsibilities except those he imposed upon himself, guided both by his impulses and by the weirdass Hart moral code that developed over the course of play and which neither he nor any other Hart could articulate effectively, intelligent in a completely different way than I am but wise and unwise in ways I vibe with effortlessly. Rhett wrote simple songs that I could hear and transcribe to a certain extent; Silver, somewhere in the depths of the limitations of the game’s sound files and my absolutely unmusical brain, was thinking in music in ways that I couldn’t, nor could I convey more than the barest echoes of it. And something is going on with his olfactory senses - the moment he spotted Mikki in his first hour on campus, I could smell those sunlit tomato vines, and he had some kind of direct connection between his purely theoretical nose and whatever pixelated organs male sims woohoo with, because all his potential partners became associated with smells.
Obviously this was all going on inside my brain somehow, but a lot of it was stuff all my experience indicates that my brain can’t do, so - it was wild. It was a vacation from being me. I don’t expect to ever have such an experience again, but I am glad to have had it, and to be able to re-experience it, in however limited a fashion, by reading back through the archive.
Also, I don’t listen to live music often, but when I do, I hear it differently now. The instrumental solos that used to lose me, don’t. I don’t think I experience them the way Silver would, or the way the music lovers and regular concert-goers around me do, but I am accessing something that I never could before channeling Silver. So. You never know, when you start a project, what it’s going to do to you, down the road.
Isn’t it marvelous?
