Chapter 1

Fern

He chose to make a fresh start in London and to set up a cyber security business with a partner. This partner is Peter Brooks, who is an ex-hacker August knows from some CIA investigations, and they are the perfect team -August sells security, Peter programs it, August is responsible for the hardware, Pete for the software. And a good team needs a team assistant and that was the point where I got involved.

I don't know why he asked me of all people, maybe because he knew I was unattached and because we had already proven that we worked together well. I asked him several times for his reasons but he always shrugged it off. I was hesitant about taking his offer, of course I was, I didn't trust him anymore, he had been public enemy number one and to be honest I was scared. I was afraid of him, of what he could be up to, of the potential for violence he was radiating and his criminal energy in general, but he offered me lots of money, a wonderful apartment in Shoreditch and he promised me that he would never expose me to any kind of danger, that he'd changed and that I would never have to do something illegal for him. August has kept his word. There are no signs that the company is involved in any illegal deals and as far as I know he is not scheming or hiding something. Moreover we've got to know each other quite well and I imagine that I would know if he was hiding something from me. oooooh ship bingo! i recently heard about these two concepts and would love to hear your take: ye baiyi and lan xichen, and xie'er and lan xichen <3

Oohhh okay, first I have to say I'm not actually into crossovers BUT let's forget about that for a little bit, these concepts are interesting.

First, Ye Baiyi and Lan Xichen. Let's see what they have in common.

They are both high skilled cultivators, very relevant figures in their respective societies.

They share common values such as righteousness, compassion, honor, service without waiting for anything in return, even kindness (more explicit in Lan Xichen).

They are not rigid in their principles though. Both acknowledge that most of the times you cannot judge a person as bad or good, nor a situation as black or white. They have struggled with it sometimes (i.e. Ye Baiyi considering whether he should kill Wen Kexing or not after knowing he's the chief of Ghost Valley, while also being aware of the difficult circumstances that led him to become that evil figure, which are indirectly related to YBY as Rong Xuan was his disciple. Also Lan Xichen caught between the evidence that Meng Yao has committed very wrong deeds and the kindness he has known from him)

Both have lost their loved ones forever.

Both have a tendency for retirement and solitude.

Apart from that, LXC has this noble and respectable aura that makes people feel calm and reassured when he's around, like if there's any problem it's okay, LXC probably knows how to solve it, he's diplomatic, also he will protect his people from danger, always keeping that composed calmness that's inherent to him (even if there's inner turmoil).

Now I consider, Ye Baiyi is very similar too, think of those scenes in the first episodes of WoH, when he gave Gao Chong the token of honor, then at the second Heroes Conference when everyone turned to him as a guide for what to do with the Ghost Valley issue, and also when WKX and ZZS fell from the bridge Cheng Ling felt reassured having YBY to help him. People feel relieved when he's around to lead them and solve problems.

So now, if LXC and YBY met I think they'd be a good match, like they would sense the similarities of their souls, especially the influence they have on others, now I can't find the words, but it's related to the righteousness and the high moral values and elevated cultivation they have achieved. Also they would perceive the isolation that comes with being far from the mortal realm for so long (for Ye Baiyi) and with being an important figure of the cultivation society that also has lost someone who was very important to him (in the case of LXC).

I believe they'd connect easily, like oh I recognize you, you are similar to me. And also they would enjoy learning from each other, YBY has reached the most elaborated martial arts skills and LXC is outstanding in musical cultivation (or whatever name it is). They see each other as equals and no one feels less than the other.

However, I think Ye Baiyi would break all of the Lan rules XD and be upset all the time, like why can't I just sit on the roofs at night to watch the stars while drinking alcohol? But as LXC is the Gusu leader (I think? Can't remember what he was at the end of The Untamed) and he is far from strict as LQR was, he would ignore it. In fact, I think he knows most of the rules are outdated and unnecessary, so they just keep following the rules that are actually related to master one's discipline, being righteous, respecting your elders and seniors and being kind to your sworn brothers and so on.

They might cultivate together. Keep each other company even as they are just sitting there in meditative contemplation or just enjoying the silence. Talk about ancient knowledge.

As for the type of relationship, I don't actually think it would be of romantic or sexual nature, like they were devoted to one partner in the past (probably more platonically than anything, at least on YBY part) and seem to me the kind of people that does not engage with anyone else after his companion has died, at least in the same way, like sometimes it's hard to reach the same level of deep connection with someone else. That doesn't mean they could not forge a close relationship, but to me it's not the same vibe as xiyao or rongye (or whatever the name of this ship is).

Following the bingo classification, I'd say Best friends, or Qplatonic at most. Also I'm intrigued to know what other kind of relationship people think they could develop. If you want to share with me, I'd love to know your ideas!!

So Xie'er and LXC. First, I think LXC would be aware of the good that's in Xie'er and his potential, mostly his inexhaustible willpower and determination, which have been until now directed towards, let's say, flawed goals? All that energy and intelligence wasted on another man's dream. It's unacceptable!!

The principal thing that comes to my mind and that struck me since Xie'er first appeared was the he seems to know who is everyone, like he saw ZZS and WKX together for the first time and he thought, why are the former leader of the Window of Heaven and the chief of Ghost Valley together wtf? While everyone else was like oh, two righteous wanderers, never heard of them before. Xie'er clearly knows how to obtain the right information, he has the mind of a researcher, and that could be put to good use.

Also Xie'er knows a lot about venoms and their antidotes, is that not another relevant and useful skill he has??? Again here, he is a researcher, as for instance he discovered the cure to the Meng Po soup was Drunk like a dream. Furthermore, he probably knows a lot about survival, hiding, disguising himself, being a shadow amongst shadows, fighting (especially dirty tricks), and leadership skills. He also has some knowledge on magic tricks (with the Drug men) that could be the simile to demonic cultivation.

All this knowledge and abilities could be put to good use, not to achieve other's goals, but to help people, for example, finding a cure to their poisoning or demonic possession (or whatever), instructing others on different facts that could be useful if they need to hide from a threat, survive in the wild for some time, coming alive from a fight with a nasty opponent an so on.

I mean, I haven't mentioned LXC until now but let's assume he is aware of everything about Xie'er's skills that I have described. Also, he realizes Xie'er has a good soul, it's something you can see right away if you spend a minimum of time with him. He has shown it with actions too, for instance, when he released Liu Qian Qiao and his lover, also that scene after the battle at mount Qingya (I'm still crying about Cao Wei Ning and Gu Xiang, my poor babies ;~;) when he left WKX and ZZS go (although he had a sword to his neck gssbsbsbsb), and of course everything he did for Zhao Jing, out of his love and affection for him.

Okay, he has done bad deeds, but he has kindness in him. A kindness that has not actually been nurtured but has developed there anyways. He has a tendency to serve others, that we see mostly with his yifu. Those are important values that might be developed and focused to actions that make an improvement on people's lives, and probably on Xie'er's own.

And LXC is determined to do that. Like he sees Xie'er's efforts to serve others because it's something that comes naturally out of him, but realizes it needs to be properly acknowledged as no one has done that before (we only got to see him do things for his yifu, who rarely showed any gratefulness for it, and only this time with Qian Qiao she almost got to say something nice to him, but Xie'er turned away swiftly, like he is not used to receive positive feedback on his good actions at all, so probably it's not something that he feels comfortable with).

I believe LXC would nurture this good side of Xie'er, praising those little (and bigger) services he does for others, which would act as a positive reinforcement. Also he would show interest in Xie'er's skills, and what he does in his free time (like no one has shown some interest in this before?), as well as his emotional state and stuff. Showing that he genuinely cares about him. That he appreciates Xie'er for who he is.

Also he would encourage him to persevere on those abilities he has and teach others, maybe the Lan disciples. So Xie'er would see that his skills can be used for some other things that are not killing or trying to become the king of the world.

As for Xie'er, he would grow to like LXC, finally finding someone who really cares about him, knowing for the first time in his life what it is to be seen and appreciated by someone who does not expect nothing from him in return. Learning that he deserves to be loved that way (and I don't necessarily mean romantically).

And that he does not need to kill for others anymore. He can become the person he wants to be, not what others want to get from him. LXC would show him he can do good deeds and they will be appreciated, even if he's doing it for others is something he inherently has done before, it nurtures his soul. He needs to experience more of that. And LXC would encourage it. He is patient, he is kind, he rarely lashes out, he has predictable reactions unlike his yifu (I mean, when Xie'er did something to please him but sometimes he would react nicely and many others he wouldn't, let's ignore if his actions were morally correct or not, the fact is Zhao Jing would respond differently to similar things).

Also Xie'er is able to discern what's good and what's harmful, and I believe that given he could choose freely, without thinking is this what my Yifu would do, he would be inclined to do the good thing. LXC encourages that.

Okay, I will not elaborate more, probably I've even been redundant several times. This relationship would definitely be great for Xie'er, for him to learn what is a healthy bond and to grow as a person.

But I don't think it would develop into a romantic or sexual kind of relationship. It just don't give me those vibes. LXC and Xie'er have different backgrounds, LXC is a sect leader and devoted to cultivation, Xie'er is the leader of a shady assassin organization and has developed other kinds of abilities.

Dunno, I don't feel them like equals, as it feels with YBY and LXC, for them the cultivation/martial arts skills are one of the main pillars of their lives and it's something they can share together, LXC and Xie'er are way too different. There might be some power imbalance too, and LXC would be somewhat taking care of Xie'er and not quite the opposite? (save from those little services Xie'er would do for him). Well, this is not probably a good reason because I like some ships with power imbalances too.

But I mean, they just don't click to me as a couple at least. More like a teacher/student relationship perhaps, or a friendship at most. Perhaps I just can't ship it any other way because of my strugglr with crossovers, but with YBY and LXC it was clearer to me that, well, it could be possible.

2 winners and 3 losers from One Direction’s solo albums

The boys have all gone in different … directions … since their indefinite hiatus in 2016. Some are better than others.

A decade — yes, a decade — ago, a teenage boy band by the name of One Direction was formed. After auditioning as individual singers on the British musical competition The X Factor, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik were thrown together into a group by TV personality Simon Cowell in 2010. And thus, One Direction was born.

While the group only placed third on The X Factor, their time on the reality show was just the beginning of their global takeover. Over a span of five years, the group released five albums, did four world tours, broke numerous Billboard 100 music records (including ones previously only held by the Beatles), recorded a documentary, and even released a perfume.

At the same time, the five members also became the basis of adolescent crushes and fervor for many years to come. Thanks to their individual quirks and calculated branding ploys, each boy quickly became an archetype for a different high school crush: Niall was the adorable friend, Harry the artistic boy next door. Zayn was quietly mysterious, while Liam was extroverted and jockish. And Louis? Hmm, well — Louis was also there.

For those five years, the One Direction boys seemed like they were untouchable. That is, until Zayn left the group in 2015 to embark on a solo career, and, a year later, the remaining band members announced an “indefinite hiatus.”

Four years after One Direction announced its hiatus, each of the One Direction-ers have begun their own solo careers. It’s the first time any of them have recorded without each other, and the first time they’ve performed solo in front of an audience since being on The X Factor as teens. Their solo albums, good or bad, reveal how each individual wants to reintroduce themselves to the public, and how they’re attempting the complicated leap from adolescent pop star to independent adult artist.

Now that Louis Tomlinson has dropped his first solo album, every former One Direction member has released at least one solo project. (Harry and Zayn have each released two.) And there are some very clear winners and losers among them. Here’s how they stack up against each other and what each one tells us about who these boys are now that they’ve spent some time apart.

Winner: Fine Line by Harry Styles

Watching Harry emerge triumphantly, hair and culottes billowing, with the title of Most Popular and Critically Acclaimed Ex-One Direction Member is not unlike watching a long-awaited prophecy finally fall into place. Ever since One Direction first stepped into the international limelight, interviews and press circuits saw that Harry was different from his fellow bandmates. He was offbeat but cool, disheveled but sexy.

And in 2017, when he released his debut album named — what else? — Harry Styles, Harry established himself as worthy of all the hype from his years in the band. A brooding rock record filled with anecdotes about all the sex he has and heartbreak he’s felt, Harry Styles reintroduced Harry to the world as an indie songwriter, David Bowie fanboy, and charismatic lover. And with his next, more experimental 2019 album, Harry takes all these elements of his identity a step further, securing his spot in the popular music landscape as a modern rock star.

Harry released Fine Line at the end of last year, interrupting winter’s dreariness with bright, dancey songs about all-consuming yearning. The lyrics of “Adore You” and “Watermelon Sugar” conjure images of summer fruits and summer loves, and both songs set the perfect soundtrack for encountering a crush at a party, or at least fending off seasonal depression. And on “Cherry,” his transportive and melancholy ode to an ex, listeners get a glimpse at genuine heartache from Harry. Despite having built a career out of belting love songs, Harry has never before sounded this vulnerable in his music before. “Cherry” shines a light on the vulnerabilities of a seemingly invulnerable star and brings a touching depth to Harry’s music that was previously absent. Fine Line is the most adventurous and enjoyable of the One Direction members’ solo efforts, and it’s sure to convert even the most crotchety boy band skeptics into believers.

Winner: Flicker by Niall Horan

As a member of One Direction, Niall was beloved — but not for being the band’s breakout star or its scene-stealing performer or even its biggest personality. Niall’s greatest charm, and the primary allure of his 2017 album Flicker, is instead seeming like an ordinary, likable guy. The human embodiment of a chill night in, Niall projects affable, regular-guy energy, but in a more palatable way than, say, Ed Sheeran. He’s a man who, after being part of the most popular boy band this side of the millennia, can still convincingly seem like he’s bemused by his fame and wealth. Niall likes Nando’s, and he likes to golf on the weekends. It’s easy to imagine him as one of those people with the uncanny ability to put horses at ease simply by murmuring the dulcet opening bars of his hit single “This Town” and running his guitar-worn hands over their hides.

Niall brings this same aura of safety and coziness to Flicker, where he strums his acoustic guitar and sings earnestly about the mundane highs and lows of falling in love. His songs are emotionally and musically safe — the most upbeat tracks, “On the Loose” and “Slow Hands,” still retain a mellow, unhurried cadence, and sad songs like “Paper Houses” veer away from raw grief or anguish, opting instead for lyrics that just barely skim the surface of sorrow.

Is it always good when an artist’s best quality is being inoffensive and never taking risks? No, but perhaps in the swirling political and social chaos of 2020, it’s what we need. Niall is a calming lighthouse in the stormy sea of life, and we would be fools to let him out of our sight.

Loser: Icarus Falls by Zayn Malik

Writer Allison P. Davis once described Zayn as someone who “sings about sex like it’s this thing he just heard about on a Jodeci song.” It’s this image of Zayn that echoes in my mind whenever I think about his couple’s photoshoot with model Gigi Hadid, or the boyish pirate-themed pub in his backyard, or his many, many selfies featuring a tortured grimace and 5 o’clock shadow. Despite his reputation for being the quiet, mysterious band member, in his post-One Direction career, Zayn has revealed both his passion for sensual R&B, as well as a powerful lack of convincing sexual energy.

Davis’s one-sentence character study is also a devastatingly apt summary of Zayn’s second album, which came out in 2018. At nearly an hour and a half, Icarus Falls is a boring, corny exploration of what happens when a too-handsome man ensconces himself in cologne and longing. Chock full of weak lyrics (e.g. “That’s how I feel the soul inside her body”) and dull, forgettable beats, the album has neither the playfulness nor sufficient melancholy to breathe life into Zayn’s sensual aspirations, and the end result is unrewarding.

The disappointment of Icarus Falls is worsened by the fact that Zayn’s debut album, Mind of Mine, was so much better. Mind of Mine’s intriguing blasé attitude was an exciting change of pace from Zayn’s demeanor in One Direction, when he was obligated to sing very un-blasé songs like “What Makes You Beautiful.” Although the 2016 record also frequently stumbled when it intended to seduce, it showed signs of artistic promise that make Icarus Falls seem like dull anticlimax, with a mere two exceptions. “Let Me” and “Entertainer” are soothing tracks in which Zayn vows to shower his lover in devotion and luxury items, and they’re the only songs that come close to the groovy fun of his last album. For listeners who are unable to let go of Zayn’s undeniable vocal chops and moody flair (me), these quality songs are exasperating reminders that Zayn is wasting his potential as well as everyone else’s time.

Loser: LP1 by Liam Payne

For many years, Liam seemed poised to stay in the “normal guy” lane with Niall, often playing the band’s cheerful jokester in music videos and interviews. Because of his jovial stage presence and photogenic, symmetrical face, many people — Liam included — thought he would follow the footsteps of another boy band pop mogul, Justin Timberlake. Recently, however, Liam’s public personality has begun to curdle slightly, in the form of controversial Instagram posts about his personal wealth, dating and impregnating the judge at his X Factor audition, and regrettable jewelry he calls the “Payne Chain.” Today, Liam seems less like a new Timberlake and more like a second-rate Bieber.

Liam’s debut album LP1, released in December 2019, follows a similarly cringy trajectory. Boosted by Chainsmoker-esque beats and sleazy lines about “[doing] your ass in the car,” Liam’s music is a bold statement separating himself from the sound of One Direction, but it’s not for the better. At one particularly low point, he leers at and fetishizes his partner’s bisexuality in the song “Both Ways.” But even on tracks without pointedly offensive lyrics, Liam’s bravado comes off as corny, and he fails to utilize his sonorous voice’s full strength. Each song on LP1 sounds like a mishmash assembly of smash hit ingredients, but the final product can’t quite stick the landing, and songs blur together in a haze of tropical synth and repetitive melody.

It’s not all bad, though. Tasteless songs aside, it’s hard not to listen to LP1 without admiring Liam’s unwavering audacity. Not everyone has the bulwark of confidence required to sing lyrics like, “I just wanna have fun and get rowdy / One Coke and Bacardi, sipping lightly,” or release a song called “Hips Don’t Lie” that’s neither a Shakira cover nor good. While this album is not the radio-ready bop collection that Liam was perhaps hoping it would be, LP1 is, above all else, unapologetic about what it is.

Loser: Walls by Louis Tomlinson

In a recent interview with the Guardian, Louis says, “[Niall’s] the most lovely guy in the world … Zayn has a fantastic voice … Harry comes across very cool. Liam’s all about getting the crowd going, doing a bit of dancing … And then there’s me.”

Louis’s self-deprecating remarks reflect the popular perception of him as the forgettable, “other” member of One Direction. Sadly, his same failure to assert himself as a unique public figure and musician is the downfall of his album Walls, which struggles to sound memorable despite being the solo album that most closely resembles One Direction’s former sound.

Louis is the last member of One Direction to release a solo album, largely because he put off recording music for an extended amount of time after the death of his mother and sister in 2016 and 2019, respectively. Given this context, it’s not surprising that Louis’s music is steeped in solemnity, whether he’s nostalgic for an old relationship on “Too Young,” or openly grieving the loss of his family on “Two of Us.”

Unfortunately, Walls feels like a confessional series of diary entries set to drums and tinny acoustic guitar, and while the frank intimacy is a refreshing contrast to, say, Liam, ultimately the album feels lackluster and sonically generic. Soft guitar and even softer vocals accompany lyrics about longing — for someone, a feeling, a moment in the past — making Walls feel like a pale imitation of One Direction’s booming rock-inspired pop rather than an entity of its own. In his first attempt to separate himself musically from the group, Louis once again blends into the background.

Not everyone is better off alone [insert pun about One Direction becoming Many Directions].

The transition from boy band member to adult man solo artist is not an easy one. The scramble to assert oneself as a legitimate, relevant musician can be full of pressure, and not everyone walks away with equal amounts of fame and success. In the case of One Direction, the majority of these underwhelming solo efforts suggest that, as much as the members have striven to express their individuality, their biggest legacy will probably be being part of a group. (Unless we’re talking about Harry Styles, that is.)

Into The World Of Sins [Yandere! BTS] Epilogue

There was warmth, and there was an occasional breeze which swept them slightly once in a while. Unlike the first and last time when [Name] was here, the touch of the breeze did not feel like iron rods covered in lava, which was as cold as icicles, digging into one’s skin. It felt the way a breeze was suppose to feel; cooling, welcoming and refreshing.

In this universal realm where the virtuous aura of heaven mingled with the dark energy from the underground, everything was in a state of almost perfect ambivalence. As a result of this ambivalence, those who could not be judged to have a concrete ending after life, and committed sins on the same ratio as their good deeds, or those who were going to be given the results of the trials they faced to decide their fate, ended up here, in the limbo.

The universe preferred to believe the best in everyone so initially, when the non-judged or trial-goers entered, their souls were a floating white circle with specks of gold. They radiated pureness which was almost to the level of pureness emitted by heavenly creatures. In juxtaposition, souls belonging to hell, were black floating circles with specks of crimson, and constantly screeched. Depending on what results the trial-goers ended up with, they would hopefully either end up with specks of gold, or unfortunately, with specks of crimson.

It was time to evaluate another returning soul in the limbo.

The soul’s retained their consciousness and memories of their life. Initially, when they were ‘non-judged,’ they had no physical existence which could be similar to a living being. Hence, their mobility was limited. They were only able to float around, and respond to the questions they were asked. Once they returned as ‘trial-goers,’ depending on whether they were destined for heaven or hell, decided if they would be allowed to retain all of their memories, and earn back their physical form.

The returning soul of the protagonist, moved to the marked circle, where the otherworldly spoke once more.

“[Name] [Surname],” It was said. While these words were uttered by a neutral voice which was usually void of any emotions and strains, this time, there was a hint of proudness in it. [Name] recalled her first visit in the limbo clearly, and knew it would be pointless for her to attempt to reply. Besides, more than anything, at the moment she was feeling a rush of different emotions and feelings surge through her. See, the memories from her journey to travel Into The World Of Sins, and recalling moments with her lover(s) from each world, was overwhelming her.

“It is now time for your judgement. Throughout your journey through the worlds, you have done, experienced, and shown many things. In your first life, your good deeds aligned with your bad, but in this journey, you have shown who you are, and what you are truly capable of. In the World Of Gluttony, you displayed selflessness, but not to the point where you risked your own safety. This ended your lover’s gluttony.

“In the World Of Sloth, you were incapable of having the strength or the courage to go on when things were rough. You avoided conflict because it caused you great fear, and by not having the motivation to pull through, you encouraged your imprionser’s sloth.

“In the World Of Pride, you understood the limitations and boundaries that exist between relationships even when that relationship is with someone who only wants the best for you. You knew when to encourage him to use his strengths for his own good, and when to hold him back for your own good. You were successfully able to prevent him from becoming too prideful to act on his own accord which would have caused him to hurt you.

“In the World Of Wrath, you showed kindness and empathy in the right time, even when your own safety was at risk. You were able to reach out and touch the heart of someone who had forgotten love. You minimized his full potential for wrath by teaching him love once again.

“In the World Of Lust, you were too giving and obedient. You failed to realize the dangers of simple submissiveness to others’ awful treatment for you. This manifested his lust to the point where a promising future was sacrificed.

“In the World Of Envy, you knew the importance of pursuing your own happiness, and acted against all odds to achieve it. You respected and accepted yourself. That part of your self-love transferred to your partner. He also came to accept himself for who he was, and did not envy others anymore.

“In the World Of Greed, you admitted to your flaws and improved on them for a better future. You stayed content, and improved for more when you needed to. You set an example, and did not let your lover become corrupted by the greed he could have. Out of seven sins, you ended five -- an exceptionally brilliant result. You have reached the heavens,” The voice spoke, and just when he said that, the environment of the limbo changed instantly; it was the heavens.

Moments later, [Name] shone brightly and blindingly. She became a heavenly spirit from a small floating circle, and retained her human physical creatures. As she had transformed, there were seven poofs of smoke that slowly arose around her, and formed a circle.

Seven past lovers -- each held out his hand to her.

She looked around herself with wide eyes, and all of them -- Vampire! Jin, Emperor! Yoongi, Artificial Intelligence! Hoseok, Dragon-Shifter! Namjoon, Incubus! Jimin, Fallen Angel! Taehyung and Mafia Boss! Jungkook -- they were smiling at her softly, and looking at her with loving eyes.

The otherworldly spoke for the last time.

“Who will you choose as your happy ending?”

Hello! With the epilogue published, I would like to say that Into The World Of Sins series is officially completed. Thank you so much for reading, and participating in the quizzes of each chapter. I did not expect over 200+ to participate in each quiz, and I am absolutely still baffled by how much support I received. Out of all platforms, my readers on tumblr were the most supportive. You have no idea how much your messages and compliments meant to me. It motivated to keep writing this story when I did not want to, and with your encouragement and support, I was able to complete it. Thank you, I love you all so much ♥ This story was an experiment because I wanted to make it more reader-interactive and it was so much fun! Watching you guys having a breakdown over what ending it would be was so funny lol. Here are some facts for you:

-For the first chapter, ending one was bad ending and ending two was good ending. In the second chapter, it was swapped so ending one was good ending and ending two was bad ending. And that was the order they were in. With each even number chapter, ending one was good ending.

-In World Of Greed, Jungkook says “I did it because I love you [Name], and I’d do anything for you. I’d end the world for you if you wanted me to,mo chuisle mo chroi.” I got the last part from a movie called Millionaire Dollar Baby, and from Gaelic it translates into something along the lines of: “my pulse, my heart.” or “my darling, my love” and I based it on the first translation which I thought was the perfect way to end the chapter.

-In the World Of Wrath, Namjoon was suppose to be a Kelpie instead of a Dragon-shifter. A kelpie is a shape-changing aquatic spirit of Scottish legend. But I stuck with dragon-shifter instead since it was easier to implement. Maybe I’ll do a Kelpie au one day? :D

-Originally, Taehyung was going to be the sin of Lust but I decided to give it to Jimin.

-Jimin was suppose to be a fairy, but it may have ended up being too similar to the fallen angel concept Taehyung was given so I gave him incubus instead.

-J-Hope was suppose to be a siren or a werewolf, but his bad ending was literally the plot of my story The Little Mermaid so I decided against it, and gave him artificial intelligence. There is more to his story than what meets the eye ;D

-Jungkook was the hardest au to choose for. I was out of ideas, and that’s why I asked for your input to what he should be. Out of all, mafia was my favourite. Thank you to the anon who suggested it!

Idol Danshi 2nd Chapter: The School is the Worst place to find Potential idols, Maybe

He didn't even need Kou to point out Park Min-jun, he already stood out in the middle of the crowd of people that surrounded him. Well, standing out would be a wrong expression; hoards of squealing girls and hollering boys clapping his back practically swallowed him. Nonetheless, the looks that made him so popular shown vibrantly amongst the crowd. Luscious, wheat-coloured hair cascaded down his shoulders in a loose ponytail, his gym attire altered to look fashionable with a v-neck collar and short shorts. When he stretched, his clothes rode up to show off flawless skin.Hachi sighed in the back of his mind. So he was one of those types of people. Stunning, flawless looks and hung around many people, loved by all. Perfect. Sure, that was the ideal idol, but see, Hachi was not an ideal idol, nor would ever become one. Those types seemed like a faraway, foreign alien species to him that he never wanted contact with. Well, he'd give it to Kou for the effort. Still, his overall aura demanded that people around him be captivated by him, an infinite charm that Hachi resolved was worth getting into his group in that day.

"I have this period with 1-D, so I'll be going now." Kou waved farewell to him and ran off towards a boy with violet highlights in his hair. The gym teacher entered the hall accompanied by students pushing... Were those gymnastic mats?

"Mornin' class. Today we're continuing with last week's gymnastics class. So find your partners from last week and grab a mat." Everyone began shuffling around to their partners, chatting loudly, Before he knew it he was left standing alone.

Along with Park Min-jun, whose eyes were darting around frantically searching for a nonexistent partner and looking unnerved by the situation. It wasn't before long that the teacher realised that too."Min-jun, Hachi," she said, pointing to each of them. "Both of you weren't here last week, so pair up with each other." Min-jun swung towards where the teacher pointed at Hachi and stared at him. His mildly confused expression gave away that he had not been aware of the other's existence until then.

Hachi decided to take the initiative to walk over to him with a mat.

"I've never seen you before" Min-jun's eyes swept up and down his body and gave him one of those judging looks that Hachi thought only scrutinising aunts were capable of making. He shot him a pointed look.

"I haven't been to school in a while. I got retained a year." Hachi replied coolly, laying out the mat. He was way too used to this kind of questions by nosy relatives.

"So your brains are as scrambled as how you look," His eyebrows rose and his lips twisted into a condescending sneer.

"I know, and I don't care," Hachi said with a sigh. Min-jun still hadn't dropped that look that honestly ruined the otherwise attractiveness of his face.

"Well, I don't talk to slobbish people," Min-jun said, laying down on the mat. Hachi sighed internally. Why did someone who possessed so much potential have to be so troublesome?

"Aren't you already talking to me now? Besides, I don't care." Min-jun blanched at Hachi's retort and glared at him.

"Just to let you know, PE is my strong subject. Don't get in my way" Min-jun finally managed to sputter out after a few moments of Hachi smirking silently at him.

"We'll see."

Their conversation that only furthered Hachi's internal resolution that Min-jun was really a popular stuck-up queen was interrupted by the teacher yelling instructions about the class. Apparently, they had to hit a certain number of sit-ups as fast as they could, and the increasing range of numbers were ranked from the highest A to the lowest D.

Min-jun was already crawling onto the mat before the teacher finished the instructions. "Hurry up." He snapped at Hachi, laying down.

Hachi put his knees on his shoes and shortly after that, the teacher started the timer. Immediately there was an immense resistance against his knees as Min-jun powered through his sit-ups.

The mental counter in his head sped along until even though they were only one minute into the exercise he was almost done. Some of the negative energy in Hachi's mind faded. He had to give it to Min-jun, he was indeed very strong. He had never felt such intense strength and Min-jun's steely expression didn't seem to be fading. At least that's what he thought.

Was it just his imagination or was the pressure on his knees decreasing? Drips of sweat forming on the sides of Min-jun's face and his breathing became more laboured. His movements had become slower and his face had deepened into a red flush.

"Dude, are you okay?" Hachi questioned after Min-jun let out a worrisome cough.

"I'm fine!" He snapped back, clearly not fine as he could barely get up from the ground. "Only a few more to go," Hachi encouraged, and Min-jun tried to continue, but failed. He laid back and panted heavily, all energy seemingly spent.

Aha, so stamina was the all pristine ruler's weakness.

Around them, classmates were almost starting to finish up. Min-jun's eyes darted around worryingly and tried to pull himself up.

"You don't have to do so many you know," Hachi said as Min-jun tried once again in vain to get up. "Shut up. Someone like you won't understand." He said the last few words in between pants as he finally managed to pull himself to do one more. Wow, so turns out he wants to save his face. Still, it was obvious did not have any power left in him to get through the last few at this rate. His pupils were dilating, his eyes unconsciously closing. Hair once glossy stuck to his face and shoulders from sweat. His breath was falling short, and thinking quickly, Hachi made a decision.

"Teach! Min-jun is done! Grade A!"

Min-jun looked at him with his eyes wide in surprise, but the other students didn't notice anything off and instead oohed and aahed at his fast completion. Even the teacher didn't seem surprised and just nodded in comprehension.Coughing heavily, he hesitated at Hachi's outreached hand, but Hachi didn't wait for a response and pulled him up.

"What was that about?" Min-jun inquired. Min-jun stared him incredulously, mouth agape like a fish.

"Let's make a bet. If I beat you in these sit-ups, I win some of your time and you have to listen to me." Min-jun looked skeptical, but with a huff, he said, "Fine! You have a deal. As if you can."Hachi smirked the first time in a long while.

The results didn't even need to announced.

Hachi nearly burst out laughing at the sight of Min-jun's indignant face. Red had coated his cheeks and made them look puffed up, and he looked like he was about to explode any moment. Without saying a word, he grabbed Hachi's phone and took out his own, and when Hachi got it back, it had a new contact saved into it as well as a note.

Hachi blinked, surprised at what it read.

"Meet me at the Okatani at 3 pm this Saturday." Attached to the text was a link to the location of this place, yet Hachi had no idea where that was. The directory described the place to be a traditional tea house that also functioned as an inn.

"The Hill Valley?" Curiously, the name Okatani was formed by the Japanese kanji for those two characteristics, 岡谷. Why on earth such a contrasting name?

Hachi now knew exactly how the Okatani got its name now, unfortunately.

The Okatani was situated in a valley hollowed out from a singular hill. That meant no access from the ground, and overgrown grass covered the slopes that surrounded it. In the middle was a dusty street with small old shops, and at the corner was a little tea house with a large cloth banner in front with the characters "岡谷". Behind it stood the tallest building on the street which was the three-storey inn that the inn was attached to.

Annoyingly, it took him forever to climb the hill and by the time he made it to the little inn, it was already 3. Maybe later. He had been climbing so long, his mind had lost the concept of time. His legs ached, and so for what seemed the hundredth time since he started climbing, under his breath, he cursed Min-jun and his ridiculous taste in out of the way places.

Pushing past the cloth banner and the glass door behind it, he entered the quaint little structure, the fragrant aroma of tea wafting to his nose, and for a while, it calmed just a little bit of his spirit. Bamboo made up the interior walls and the warmness in contrast with the cold winter outside formed the cosiest atmosphere. Smoke from the contact of hot steam and cold air curled around. The smell of something delicious cooking instantly created a hunger that had not been present moments before.

"You're late," Min-jun rose from the waiting bench dressed up in a disgustingly pretentious heavy traditional light blue robe. He had the absolutely most infuriating smug smirk poorly hidden behind his raised sleeve, his voice laced with condescension.  That prompted the start of Hachi's habit to be at least half an hour early to every appointment."Ah! Young master Park! I see your guest has arrived!" A cheery voice sounded from the kitchen, and a waiter in his mid-twenties popped up clutching a menu. Turning to Hachi, he continued, "My name is Chouna Sawahara, and I'm the son of the owner of this tea house and inn. Park here is a welcomed guest of this establishment, and this privilege extends to you too. This way, the two of you!" He guided the two of them towards the main room.

Groups of elderly and families packed the main room enjoying tea and a large variety of colourful tasty looking treats. Tatami mats covered the floor and the customers sat on cushions on the floor before low coffee tables. Along the way, they shouted orders at Chouna for orders of second helpings, third helpings, some even fourth, and Chouna replied them all. Hachi had to admire waiters and their extensive memory.

Chouna eventually led them into a private room right at the back that opened using a paper sliding door. The interior of this room, much unlike the humble appearance of the main hall, was decorated with artsy paintings, skilful sculptures, and banners of beautiful calligraphy. Luxurious velvet cushions were laid out on the floor before a large table meant to hold plentiful food. A fancy chandelier hung from the ceiling, illuminating the room below.

Min-jun, looking utterly unfazed by the spectacular display as if it were no more than a daily occurrence, took a seat in a pile of cushions on one end, the thick heavy layers of his sky blue robe fanning out beneath him like a flower. Hachi not as gracefully settled himself into the other pile.

"Well then, Chouna, I'll trust for you to bring me the usual"

"Right away sir," with that, Chouna disappeared into another door that seemingly led to the kitchen.

They sat in silence for a moment. Min-jun seemed pleased for the first time ever and did not look like he would appreciate being interrupted in the cozy atmosphere.

"So…about what we wanted to talk about…" Hachi broke the silence.

"Shh. It's going to start soon." Min-jun held out a hand to silence him. Hachi was about to retort what in the world he was talking about when it happened.

The sweetest melodious singing poured from the kitchen. Much like an enhanced version of the calming effect that the Okatani had, Hachi felt all the worries and tension he didn't even know he had leave his body. Hachi recognised the tune to be a traditional folk song, but the sound was so beautiful the scratchy voice of the original elderly male singer sounded worlds apart.

The two didn't even realise when the singing stopped and the door slid open, too immersed in the after-effects of the music. Out came a server carrying a platter of pots, cups and tea leaves, face covered by a veil.

Wordlessly, the platter was set before them on the table. The tea server gave them a hint of a warm smile under the veil and begun the tea ceremony.

Hachi wasn't very familiar with the upper-class posh tea ceremony, tea so far had been something gulped down after a tiring midnight practice session, but apparently, the crockery had to be arranged in a certain pretentious manner or the ceremony would be ruined. The tea server did what should have been a mediocre task with extreme importance, gingerly performing each task with utmost focus.

At last, when everything had been prepared, steaming cups of tea were placed before each of them and the tea server bowed out of the room.

Hachi took the cup with both hands and took a sip. Steam wafted into his face and it seemed like all was at peace. There was definitely something he was disregarding…

"Right, about what I wanted to tell you today…" Hachi looked up from his tea.

"Yeah?" Min-jun looked mildly annoyed now that the topic for discussion had been brought to the table.

Hachi explained his plans to him, and Min-jun's face cringed, his face twisting into rather interesting formations of expressions.

“Oh my... Sorry, but no way. I’m way too expensive to do something of that nature. You’ve got to try harder than that,” Min-jun popped a powdered mochi into his mouth.

“But...” His looks were perfect. Where else was Hachi going to find someone like that? And his body was conditioned to do exercise pretty well.

"Let me make myself clear. I am not at all interested in what you are suggesting, I never will, and to think you even considered I would do so is a magnificent error of judgment on your part. I will never associate with someone who gets involved in such immorality and self-centredness!"

There were sudden loud footsteps and Min-jun took a breather from his rant. "Ah, that must be the food," he said, sitting back on his fort of cushions. Right on cue, both doors burst open. Standing at the door to the kitchen was indeed the server with a platter of hot steaming food. However, at the other door was an uninvited guest, whom Hachi knew was not wanted precisely because he looked like the exact example of someone who lacked basic values and acted on his own selfish wants.

The male was a gross pig of a man all appearances considered. A lit cigar stuck out of the corner of the corner of his mouth, the smoke it emitted stinking its way to Hachi's nose. His face was red and sweating profusely, much like a melting tomato. His pudgy body was squashed into a suit obviously too small for him, squeezing his stomach like a cage with an expanding balloon inside it. With the cigar still inside his mouth, his face contorted with anger, he bellowed,

"Park Min-jun! I've been looking for you!"
