Doodle dump of the Kurashiki siblings in a bunch of different outfits because I think about them every single day of my life

(Self indulgent explanation of my thought process for each and every one of these under the cut!)

Okay, the veeery first one I'm just calling a header since it's the third drawing with more color so I can use it to keep my friends spoiler free on other platforms, I'll be ignoring it when saying "first" "second" yadda yadda it doesn't count okay akdhsk

Yes the actual first one is a twewy crossover where Akane's composer and Aoi's her conductor! It wasn't my idea and I don't like thinking about the logistics of that whole scenario, I just really really wanted to draw the cool wings and fashionable outfits and it is yet another way to frame their dynamic that really grabbed my attention. Here's a version without wings too!!

Ok, the second one was the first thing on this file, I was just in a mood™ from thinking about their dynamic in the canon divergent post second nonary game headcanons I have in my head, really wanted to draw Akane in a hair bun and Aoi with an inverted color scheme too, but yeah the idea was each of them off to do their thing and venting about each other, probably to Junpei and Light but I gave up on adding details to the scenario and nearly scrapped it, it's only here because that post about sketchy and scribbly art made it's way to my dash and made me go y'know what I like this as is

Third one was just because I saw this one hairband at the store and immediately thought of Aoi wearing it and couldn't get it out of my head until I drew it, turned it into him and Akane wearing party looks while doing recon or something, Akane ends up feeling uncomfortable with showing skin despite having asked for help picking the clothes out herself, I also really liked how she looks in this her hair turned out super pretty

The last two full body ones are the outfits I imagined for my fics!! I wasn't sure about posting it cause I like to let people imagine whatever they want but I still personally needed to get it out of my head, especially when I started thinking of all the headcanons for the notes, which aren't terribly legible I am sorry for that, like Akane with shorter hair because she had a fit of Not Feeling Fully There and cut a chunk of it off herself to feel like she could still affect things and also fully knowing she has enough time for it to grow back past her shoulders again, and Aoi having pierced his ear himself just out of boredom or discontentment or something, those two things could be smaller fics in on themselves so I needed to draw it, and that was all for the pre second nonary game fic I made!!

The pre vlr one I only drew anything for because I tried before and didn't enjoy the result, so I very impulsively tried my hand at it again

So yeah that's that! I also made a little comic strip alongside these that I'll post shortly, I genuinely love these outfit drawings two so much, thank you for reading my rambles qwq

My Adventures with Superman EP 4: Design Works

My goodness it feels so strange to see these designs two years later but I actually had a hand in Clark, Lois and Jimmy’s gala suits in episode 4 of My Adventures with Superman!

This happened WAY back in Sept 2021 but during my first week on the show I jokingly sent a piece of art to one of the design leads and well, one thing led to another:

This is kind of running gag with my work, but I somehow always predict things when I draw fanart haha. I truly didn’t know there was gonna be a gala episode and now I was tasked to do a pass for the main trio’s gala outfits.

CLARK KENT

Naturally since it started with Clark, he was the first one I did a pass on. I actually really like men’s suits design so this was the most fun to design out of the three. Overall, I drafted up four different suits that gave 4 different feels for our soft boi. Option A was a full 3 piece with slick backed hair (which honestly now feels very Bruce Wayne than Clark haha). Option B had a high school prom feel, Option C was more business casual (hence why his dress shirt was unbuttoned at top) and finally Option D was sleek turtleneck & suit combo. Honestly, I was rooting Option D ‘cause I’m a sucker for a turtleneck but if I  remember correct they went with Option B ‘cause it felt the most Clark. But just know I tried haha.

LOIS LANE

Lois’s outfit was quite challenging since I had no clue until I was given the assignment that she’s Korean (yes, Lois is canonically Korean in the show). I remember the design leads Jane Bak and Dou Hong showing me a rough concept of a modern hanbok. I spent so many days researching hanboks and the construction behind them...it truly was a learning experience for me haha. It was quite challenging trying to create and outfit that spoke to Lois’ heritage while still keeping her energy. This was my very first pass but I think ultimately the team did a great job to hone in the final look and balance both elements for her outfit (the backless top is just chef’s kiss). Also yes, I did try giving Lois slick back hair haha.

JIMMY OLSEN

There isn’t much to say about Jimmy’s outfit (sadly I left the production to work on Spiderman Freshman Year before seeing what they decided on). But from what I remember, I specifically was looking at men’s outfits from the Met Gala from that year and before (I think Chadwick Boseman was the biggest influence for me at the time). Though I think his final suit design aren’t like too far off from my initial thoughts, it’s still super cool to see how it evolved into the final look!  But yeah! Just a little behind the scenes on the work I got to do on the show. Again, super brief since Spidey was calling my name but I truly had so much fun getting to design for this show. MAWS was my first ever time doing design work (since I primarily work as a 2D animator and board artist). I was so nervous but the team was welcoming and taught me so much! I really have to thank Dou Hong and Jake Wyatt for taking a chance on me and allowing me to draw hot anime characters for a DC show haha.

Kamski's clothing mostly consists of a worn doctors uniform, however he does use a pedestrian disguise with a mask if he's going to do something illegal or a regular casual clothing (in the habit of dressing up for winter and refuses to break habit even in the worst of Summer) when going to do legal groceries.

Wow. I realised just how little brain space I dedicate to her... but she's also so silly. I love her so much. She's a great character to pair up with Kaito (for any relationships, I love when they're having fun together.) She doesn't need more suffering <3

I love sm how in MK1412 they added extra scenes of the Ekoda gang! And Aoko looks so cute in it! (everyone else? ... it varies)

Now this is a hella hot take but I personally think KaiAo is much more interesting than ShinRan (for me). And fun too, because I've always been drawn to fun and teasing dynamics like these over the more romantic ones (if you get what I mean by more romantic). KaiAo and Shinran both are such wonderful couples though. *Bangs fists on table* THEY'RE BOTH SO UNBEARABLE CUTEEE

Someone told me I have very similar vibes to Aoko and I've been reevaluating myself XDD. No but I can see it. I think we have a similar energy (in my brain at least, I'm much more tired when I go out) and even preferred fashion.

3. SHINICHI/CONAN

Drawing was inspired by that scene where Conan gets suspicious of Hanzawa-san (from The Culprit Hanzawa, a spinoff of dcmk.)

Ok, so the thing is, I have a very strange relationship with him.

He's so silly, right? He so fun, he's adorable, so caring and well meaning, but I'm scared of him. I wouldn't want to meet him. I'm terrified even though he's so nice 😭. So I'd rather observe from a distance (hence the drawing ^ but I'd definitely set off his senses a lot.)

(What does it say about me that I'm scared of Shin/Cone but not Kaito? I'm working on overcoming my fear of Conan/Shin, I promise *on my hands and knees* I REALLY AM)

(My irl friend understands why I'm so terrified, I've explained the crazy stunts he's done and his very illegal spy equipment to them... they actually got a nightmare about Conan that night. He's such a law breaking little gremlin (affectionate)) So...no kisses for you, detective... only because I'm too intimidated 😭 But I'll gladly make content dedicated to you and fawn over you <3

If it's not already obvious, Kai > Shin/Cone for me. But he's definitely a close second.

Shin's/Cone's aesthetic? So peak. His detective work and general vibes with the series is so banging. That clean formal attire - I love wearing more formal stuff out. Being judged for it? At this point I don't really care hahaha. His mismatching outfits are so endearing, but I don't really vibe with them.

Canon is kinda frustrating for me. Well, as usual, I love to pick out the pieces I love and keep them dear to my heart. Ugh I want more identity issues and character relationship focuses. And more Shinran, this is literally ridiculous for slowburn lol.

this is the alec that everyone draws the first time they draw alec. hair not fully curly. vaguely fitting the description of A Little Guy but otherwise nondistinct. 4/10 this is what alec looks like from a distance of 15 feet if you squint

proof of the rule wrt alec that the masks people make up for him when they forget his canon design (literally just a blank white smirking mask) are always accidentally thematically relevant or interesting. wake up puppet boy. curly hair win but the outfit has not been fully faggified yet. 7/10 this sufficiently captures the essence of alec. i shouldve done a five-star rating system i like it better. oh well vibes-based 10 star system it is

these are all already scoring higher than many alecs because they come with the default understanding that he 1. is smalled 2. has curly hair and 3. is gnc so we can get into more specific critique. not actually a skirt wearer but that's my fault for trying to cram him in them anyway. it just will not take he just doesnt like skirts or dresses except for dead princess ghost nightgowns. he doesn't wear the super fancy clothing in public unmasked for a few reasons but, like, that's functionally a nitpick--it's alec looking like alec in clothing alec would, at one point or another, wear. 9/10

haunted doll AND more specific facial features and moles AND gayass clothing. and the mandatory curly hair. 10/10, this is what alec looks like

he's got sleek black riding boots instead of lace-up ones but like. yeah these are all far above the usual bar for attempts at drawing alec. little guy poofy gay outfit etc etc. on a tangential note people Should give him fun fancy mask designs of their choosing but also so many people do that that i kind of wish i could see a few drawings of him with the mask he actually has LMAO. anyway 6/10 i think the inaccurate boots and smiley cute-looking mask shift his energy a little to be slightly peppier than it should be but, like, that is alec.

White boy named pancake would you come to his birthday party. jean-paul is even more frou-frou and baby princey than alec and this is appropriately so. and jean-paul bnuuy is cutesy and fancy like a childrens story beenyrabbit doll whereas alec bnuuy is creepy. so 10/10there also. holding him lovingly

4. Reita Toritsuka (1.75/4)

Sorry tori. I need a reference for his hair pretty much everytime I draw him, which to be fair is so far like 4 times in total. Honestly I have a love-hate relationship with his headband because on the one hand, it's kinda iconic, on the other it's fucking horrendous I'm sorry.

Moving on from the hair, the most fun I have with drawing him would be his uniform (I like the rosary beads and Geta) and his face since he's an expressive character so I get to do a lot of fun stuff with that ( this technically does not count since it's not a part of the design but his points are already kinda low, I felt generous).

Lastly, no, I don't really have many "creative" ideas with him, I had maybe 3 but I never really felt passionate enough to finish them I'm sorry.

2. Mikoto Aiura (2/4)

This feels way too low but I can't really break the rules.

I do need to use references to draw her everytime I do ( which I think is...1 time? That is criminally low what the fuck am I doing) mainly due to her hair, speaking of which, I LOVE HER HAIR I LOVE HER NAILS I LOVE HER EYES I LOVE HER!!!! She is so fun to draw and it's so fucking nice to have a character with some fucking MELANIN OMG HER SKIN I AJDBDJ SHADING TANNED/DARK SKIN IS SO FUN WHY DONT I DO IT MORE OFTEN. This doesn't count since it's supposed to be about their canon design but there are so many outfits you can put her in it's crazy!!! I think it's mainly because she's kinda the only one with an aesthetic idk.

I WANNA DRAW HER ALL THE TIME I JUST DONT FOR SOME REASON WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!??? Off topic I do not draw any of the female characters that often even though I regularly lose my mind thinking about them what's up with that?

Do I get to be creative with her? Not really but that's not her fault that's on me, she's perf I'm just uncreative that's all.

2. Saiki Kusuo (2/4)

He scored 0.5 on everything... How!??? Last I checked he is not Satoru Hiroshi.

Main reason I need a reference is due to the hair which for the most part is a bunch of zig zags and so I don't need it that often.

He is fun to draw, mainly his eyes they are very pretty. I do want to draw him often, I doodle him a lot. I think it's the limiters and glasses. I don't have to worry about him looking accurate cuz if you throw the limiters and glasses on it immediately looks like saiki so Im not that scared about drawing him.

Fun fact a lot of times when I'm drawing him he ends up looking like Kuboyasu. Until I put limiters on. Then all of a sudden it's saiki! Amazing! Chouno Uryoku who?

I guess I'm somewhat creative with him? I have a few ideas laying around, one or two animatics, maybe a fic and a couple crossover fanart ideas. Dunno if I'll ever get around to doing it though.

1. Akechi Touma (3/4)

I SO BADLY WANNA GIVE HIM A 4/4 MAN.

No I do not need a reference I drew him once and then his hair and face were ingrained into my long term memory for eternity in fact i remember it so well I subconsciously gave it to an OC.

Is he fun to draw? FUCK YEAH HE IS. Hair was the problem for all the other characters but not this one, no sir! because THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAS THE HAIR THAT GIVES ME GENDER EUPHORIA. It was my first 'boy' hair cut and I love how androgynous it made me look so looking at him gives me pure joy. And his eyes GOD I LOVE HIS BIG PURPLE EYES SJDIEBD.

I used to want to draw him all the time but I've drawn him too frequently so I need to take a small (miniscule really) break so I can continue liking it. Maybe that'll give me time to draw more Aiura. Anyways I gave him 0.75 on that part but that's entirely my fault for over drawing him. He did no wrong I take the blame.

Can I be creative with him? No not really since just drawing him covered in blood and/or eating sweets does not count as creative in this criteria. But I do have many ideas of just putting him in other universes and meeting my other favs and then the two of them ramble about an interest of choice and are just get to talk talk talk and talk I love them I love their yapping onjdhdiehd and I have a couple of animatic ideas I may never finish. GOD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH HE HAS A 4/4 IN MY HEART.

“Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to part two of catching up with ivy. So let's continue. We were talking about how you and yeonjun had met each other. Now let’s talk about your music. How does it feel, now that you are the producer, composer, lyricist and the mastermind behind all your songs? Does it feel different than before?” Eric turned to ivy as he asked her the question after the intro.

“Well for starters, it feels new. I’ve always had at least a person or two in my studio and they’d do the work and I'd just give suggestions but now I'm the one who’s completely responsible for what kind of music I put out. It's a bit burdensome. I won't lie but it gives me a lot of freedom.” she laughs before continuing. “I feel like I can play around with anything and everything until I find what I like before putting it out. And I have 3racha on the hotline so I can ask them any questions I have about producing. I remember I once called Han at like 3 am and he was like ‘what the hell do you want?’ I think he probably wanted to kill me." Eric joins in with his laughter before asking her, “it’s a relief that you have people you can reach out too then.” Ivy nodded, saying yes. Moving on from that, eric started, “we asked your fans, soleils, some questions for you to answer. Are you ready?” she nodded enthusiastically. “Okay, first question! ‘who is your fashion inspiration?’” eric asked her.

Ivy thought for a second before opening her mouth to answer, “honestly I draw inspiration from my everyday life. There isn’t anything particular that I can put a label on as my inspo. I sometimes look at yeonjun and get inspired, i listen to taylor swift and get an inspiration suddenly, i open pinterest and look at my board and randomly get up to choose an outfit for the day. So yeah it depends on many factors.” she concluded. Satisfied with her answer, eric nodded before looking at the iPad for the next question. “What is your favorite food ?” he asked her. “Hmm, to me, since i have very limited options as a vegetarian here but my all time favorite food has to be the tteokbokki that yeonjun’s mom makes. It tastes so good! Her food is my all time favorite after my moms of course. I think i visit her more than yeonjun sometimes haha” she laughs. “Oh yea! I wanted to ask you about that. How do you survive being a vegetarian here? It's really hard. I tried for some time and I went back to the states and I couldn't control it haha” Eric asks her and laughs. Chuckling, she started, “I was just brought up like that. I didn’t wake up one day and suddenly wanted to be a vegetarian. It's not that difficult for me in a sense that I don't find it difficult to not eat any meat but it’s pretty difficult to find vegetarian stuff here. There is not much vegetarian stuff available. And in that sense i'm really thankful to yeonjun’s mom because she tries a lot to make stuff vegetarian for me whenever i visit. It moves me to tears everytime. She’s always trying out new methods to make stuff edible for me and it really touches my heart.” she finishes.

Eric gave her a smile before reading the next question. “What is your description of the perfect date?” Eric asks, chuckling. “There is no such thing as a perfect date. You just have to make sure that the both of you don’t make each other uncomfortable if it’s the first one. But if it’s like a date with like your significant other, I would recommend that you do whatever that makes you both happy. A date should not be fun for only one person. Whatever you choose to do, make sure both of you have equal amounts of fun” she finished. Eric looked at her before asking her a question of his own. “Okay, this is my question. What is the best date that you have gone on?” she chuckled before answering him. “The first one that comes to mind is that one day when we both had the day off and we decided to not waste the day. We got up and we ate breakfast and just headed out. We went to art museums, we went cafe hopping, we had lunch and we walked out and about until sunset and we had a little picnic and we ended the night stargazing. It is the best date we’ve had. I won't lie haha” she laughed as Eric looked with adoration at her as she finished speaking. “That sounds like so much fun!! Okay now to the next question. What is your dream collab stage?” he asked her. She thought for a few seconds “i’d love to collab with Taylor swift. But we all know that’s not gonna happen haha. So realistically speaking, I'd love to have all my girl friends on an album or a song. Like I'm talking inka from stray kids, calista from enhypen, lua from ateez, and haewon from mask and many more people that if i start naming, i could go on forever haha.” she laughs as she finishes her sentence. Eric looks at her with an amused look and reads the next question. “What are your hobbies?” “hmm i’d say i love taking pictures that look really aesthetic. I have been using my old phone that I don't use anymore simply for taking pictures. And oh I love baking! If i’m not home, then i’m probably at the straykid’s dorm or the tubatu dorm baking with felix or soobin haha." She explains her hobbies and waits for Eric to ask her the next question. “What do you hate most in the world?” he asks her. “People not respecting boundaries. I really hate it when people cross boundaries they’re not supposed to cross. Like mainly in this industry where our privacy as idols are not respected. I know that as fans they want to know everything that happens in our life but people have to know where to stop. They have to understand that we can share only minute details of ourselves. They have to understand that it's the same feeling as someone randomly coming up to you in the streets and asking you to spill your deepest darkest secret.” she finished as Eric nodded, agreeing to her words. "Do you prefer cats or dogs?" He asks her the next question. Gasping, she places a hand dramatically on her chest. "You can't ask me to choose!! I know I have two dogs but I promised Inka that I will love cats the same as dogs!! I won't choose between my dogs and the words of other love of my life!!" Ivy says as Eric wheezes at her dramatic behavior next to her. She too chuckles when Eric tries to read the next question.

"What would you have done if you hadn't become an idol?" "That's a very interesting question. Hmm i haven't really given it much thought since from all i can remember from the age of 11 is that I've ever thought about is working hard to become an idol. But it really got to me when I was on break last time. I can't be doing this forever can i? I mean I'll continue being an idol as long as my body allows it and I have a passion for it. But I was thinking about what I will do next if I lose my passion for this. That's when I realized that I had to think of something else too. I think if i hadn't been an idol, I would've probably gone to college in the states and would've been working now. But I've always wanted to open a cafe so I would've probably done that. But I do plan on opening my own cafe one day though!! It's not just a dream of the past. It's a dream for the future too." Ivy finished as Eric looked at her like a proud father. "I really hope you achieve that dream of your jen!" He wished her as she thanked him silently before answering the next question.

"Who is the person you trust the most?" He asked her. Without any hesitation, she replied "mom, dad, my brother, my sister and yeonjun." Smiling at how quick she answered the question, Eric moved on to the next one. "Ooh this is a very interesting question. This fan asks 'since you debuted at such a young age, what were the pros and cons of it? How did you manage school?' " smiling at the question, "they always know what to ask haha." She laughed before answering it. "Of course the obvious pros that came out of it are getting a lot of fans that support me and love me for who i am. A lot of people come up to me saying that my music saved them or that they found me at their lowest and in one way or the other i helped them get out of it and these words really keep me up at night. Yes it was really hard debuting at that age but it's words like these that don't make me regret it. Although yes I do wish I could've debuted a bit later but i was desperate. I thought that if i didn't debut at that time then i couldn't debut at all. But all ended up being good. So I don't regret anything. And about how I managed school, it was tough. It really was haha I remember once when I was back from a music show at almost 2 am but I had a test the next morning so I stayed up preparing for it. I got a good result so it was all worth it but yeah managing school was tough. College was a lot easier though. I loved college." She finished. Eric looked at her with a look of sympathy as he read the next question. "If you had to pick a song to describe your life, what would it be?" "Hmm one song? It's hard choosing just one. Because I feel like there's a time in my life I could say "to my youth" fit the best and there's a time when I can say "blueming" fits perfectly. There was a time when- I can't say much about it but, a song in my upcoming album fit the best. So it's almost impossible to pinpoint one song. She replied. "Are you more of a sweet or savory eater?" Eric read the next question. "I am more of a sweet tooth. I love anything and everything sweet but I do crave savory quite a few times to balance it out. But the majority of the time, I'm a sweet tooth!" Ivy answered.

Suddenly Eric clapped his arms once startling the poor girl. Laughing at her, he says "it's the second to last question." Pouting, she whines at him about how she doesn't wanna go and wants to stay some more. Laughing at her antics, Eric reads out the question. "What's your dream destination?" "My dream destination is probably switzerland. I heard it's really beautiful and I've seen a few videos so I'd love to go there one day." Ivy smiled as she waited for the last question. Eric asked her, "which musical concept do you prefer and why? I feel like it's a good question to end" nodding, she replied. "Hmm I like a lot of concepts but I think I like fantasy and y2k concepts in kpop. But overall I love it when the music tells the artist's story. I love it." Sighing, Eric kept the iPad on the ground and sat up straight.

He could see ivy pouting and as he laughed at it, he said his closing ments and asked Ivy to say how she felt. "I felt so comfortable actually. It's so nice here, the ambiance is really good and you all are soo sweet!! I want to start a podcast here now! haha But anyways, I had such a great time. And it's been quite some time since I saw Eric oppa too so it felt really nice catching up and answering the questions! Thank you soo much for having me!! I'd love to be back one day!! Byeee" she said as the outro of the daebak show played.

I just feel like blurting stuff

So, another au by yours truly. Nath used to compete in pageants and won many of them

He first started competing when he was six, just for fun

He got his hair styled a bit, his mom found a few nice outfits, and they didn’t expect too much… But then Nath ended up winning, so his mom signed him up a second time since it seemed like he enjoyed himself. Plus, she’s putting that money towards school, so… Yeah

Alix is the only non family member who knows about the pageants and refuses to let him live it down. But in private since he doesn’t want everyone at school knowing

He keeps his life as a Pageant King under wraps by going about his school life as his “shy artist” self and then wowing the judges with his amazing talent on the piano, cello, violin, harp, flute, and acoustic guitar (Evillustrator confirmed Nathaniel is good at music)

By the time he turned ten, he’s already won forty five pageants

With his victories comes a few people under the guise of managers trying to mooch off of his success, but Aya keeps them at an arm’s length. The pageants are quite enough and she doesn’t want her son’s face plastered on every ad

There are a few photos in a couple of magazines, but that’s just to recap the pageant, any celebrities who attended, and announce the winner

To balance school work and practice, Aya’s sister, Laney, home schools him when it’s pageant season, and her brother, Lance, helps him practice for the talent portion

The teachers know about him competing in pageants and slip him a few high fives when he returns to school after winning

His secret nearly gets out a couple of times when the class questions him about his hairstyle and why he’s gone for a few days during the school year, but he’s got a few excuses prepared thanks to Alix

Marinette: Why does your hair look so nice?

Nathaniel: Oh, so the class introvert isn’t allowed to look presentable once in a while?

Nino: Since when are you so good at the piano?

Nathaniel: Well, maybe if you paid attention, you’d know I have skills besides drawing.

Now he’s fifteen, won 97 pageants, and is ready for number 98

Also, his classmates have had enough. They went to know what he’s been up to for the past few years, becuase he’s definitely not telling them any time soon

They’ve tried going to Alix, but she’s remained tight lipped and won’t give into bribery

Everything eventually comes to light when Adrien’s been selected as a celebrity judge for the Adolescent M. Paris Pageant

Adrien invites the class along, barring Alix since she’s out of town visiting family and had no idea what they’re doing. They’re just walking around and venue, meeting some of the competitors who all look nervous for some reason because of who’s here

Alya: Wait, who?

Competitor 1: Only the actual threat here! Have you all been living under a rock?!

Competitor 2: I hear he’s playing the cello for this one, and he got his suit custom made from Milan. There’s real diamonds on it!

Competitor 1: That’s nothing. I heard he went to a private dentist to have his teeth whitened so much that the shade of white can’t be found on any color swatches.

Competitor 3: And he got his lips tinted.

Kim: Can we have a name, or-

Competitor 3: No! We do not summon him! I’ll be damned if that little weasel steals my crown again! Where the hell is my bronzer?!

Now the Akuma Class is intrigued, just who is this threat that has every guy on edge? Before they can ask around for a name, the competitors are all called to the stage, so they take their seats

And there on the stage, they find Nathaniel in the lineup

At first, they think, “Oh, he wants to come out of his shell and compete. He couldn’t have picked a worse time. He won’t stand a chance against whoever everyone is so threatened by. We should comfort him when this is over.”

To their surprise, Nathaniel acts as if he’s been doing this for years, walking with perfect posture and speaking clearly during the Q&A portion

During the intermission, they head backstage to get some answers

Nathaniel: I don’t know, because it’s kind of embarrassing. I just do it so my mom can put the prize money toward school. And did it really take you guys ten years to figure it out?

Akuma Class: …

Nathaniel: Right. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta get my cello.

Chloé: Wait! You’re the threat?!

Nathaniel: If that’s what everyone’s been calling me, then yeah. Look, I’m on about ten minutes, so I suggest heading back to your seats.

He only amazes them even more when he plays Paint It Black on his beautiful red cello

They’re not even shocked when he wins. Of course, one or two people take pictures to send to a mass group text, so Nathaniel had something to look forward to at school

He’s mobbed by guys asking for his number, popular kids inviting him to sit with them at lunch, and girls asking who does his hair, but he’s having none of that

They wanted nothing to do with him until it turned out he’s been in magazines and looks attractive without his dark clothes, so he wants nothing to do with them

He gives a few practiced responses to his friends congratulating him on winning and turns down Adrien’s Gabriel’s offer to model for the brand, and Marinette’s offer to model some of her clothes for her website

In his words, “My body’s not for sale.”

That doesn’t stop a familiar limo from pulling up to him

Gabriel: M. Kurtzberg-

Nathaniel: I NEED AN ADULT!

Gabriel saw the pageant from the comfort of home as a scout for the winner, and is now trying to get Nathaniel to model for his brand. He’s got a better chance than Bob Roth, that’s for sure. At least Nathaniel makes eye contact with him

Anyway, guys are still trying to pick Nathaniel up, and it’s getting really annoying, so he hides out in the basement during lunch hour where he meets Marc Anciel and prepares for shallow compliments

He just offers him an apple

Nathaniel: You’re not gonna try to flirt with me?

Marc: Well, someone’s full of himself.

Nathaniel: What? No, it’s just, every time I turn a corner, some guy is asking me out with roses and talking about how hot I look just because I won a pageant.

Marc: That was you? Wow, you are… Not what I was expecting. I was expecting a better haircut and designer clothes.

Nathaniel: Hey!… Thanks for treating me like a human.

Marc: No problem. Congrats, I guess? What is this, your fifth win?

Nathaniel: Ninety-eighth.

Marc: … You like AO3?

Marc and Nathaniel start spending a lot of time together, which gets some people’s attention, and they suspect he’s a gold digger, but Nathaniel shuts that down quickly and calls certain people hypocrites

Marc even introduces him to his classmates who aren’t completely starstruck by a 98-time pageant winner. They ask a few questions, but he doesn’t mind answering

One time, Juleka invites Nathaniel to the Liberty, because according to her, Luka wants to see up close how good he is at the violin. It leads to a competition where Juleka swears she saw smoke rising because of how fast they were playing

Anyway, it’s not long before Marc and Nathaniel start dating after Marc gets him to safety from some guy who refused to take a hint when Nathaniel said no to a date with him

2! What do they do for fun? They create! Their species is very big on arts and crafts!! But that also includes creating and improving tech, making music, designing and a lot more!! They tend to really enjoy puzzles and challenges! They also like to explore and document!

3! Are there any animals on their planet? Yes! I really need to work on what their homeworld is like! I have a basic idea for it but now I'm not sure how I like it! They definitely have pets and livestock though! Most are primarily vegetarian so there isn't much livestock though! They do harvest bugs though!! They really like eating bugs!

4! What does the planet look like? Hmm not sure! Originally their world was covered in mountains and they lived in giant cave systems! They have domes breaching the surface but they typically stay underground! Their planet is huge in intergalactic trade so there'd be big cities with giant landing docks for ships! But I'm kinda more into a solar punk vibe? Super high tech and cool machines but still super naturey and cozy! I'd like to think they have a flourishing ecosystem on their planet!

5! Do sun and moon have more things to wear other than black? Yeah! They have tons of casual wear! Moon has a lot of flashy fashion stuff while sun is a little bit more minimalistic with the exception of a few outfits! They just wear their plain clothes all the time because they're kinda sad and depressed and don't have the energy to put work into dressing y'know? But that changes eventually!

6! Why do they avoid earth? Mostly because there's nothing around earth! There's really no reason to be close other than to observe! Also, earth is monitored so no aliens intervene with earth's development. It's poorly monitored though! Observation devices are pretty outdated and the monitors are hardly ever watched!

7! How did they find the place? They were kinda just drifting aimlessly and found themselves in the area! Their ship can turn plant matter into fuel so they had planned on just taking some dead leaves and getting out of there fast. Ha didn't happen like that

8! What happens if one eats a lot of cores? They blow up!! Kinda! It varies between beings but they get more and more mentally unstable and their body starts to get deformed! Some experience voices that drive them crazy, while some experience many phantom limbs! If they consume too much, the energy of the core becomes too much for them and they implode before exploding! The energy of this death can create wrapped areas of space! And places with high energy that can damage tech and equipment! Overall, it'll usually kill them!

9! What would happen to a human that ate a core? They'd die! Pretty painfully too! Those of warmer colors have very hot cores, so the human would burn and boil from the inside out! Those with cooler colors have freezing cores! So a human would freeze from the inside out! Neutral colored beings have a core temp in-between! Their core would cause a human to have such a terrible heart attack, they would die! They'd get all jittery and basically have a huge panic attack before dropping dead!

10! What are sun and moon trying to do? Hmmmmm I have some ideas but I want to explore them a little before I talk about them :D!!! But mostly, they want normality and comfortability! They want to heal and be happy again!

Okay so I watched these two One Piece movies over the past couple of nights and the different experiences that I have gone through with both of these movies... First of all... I had A LOT of fun watching both of them (tbh more fun than when I watched the One Piece: Red) and I want to watch it again just from recalling it. I won't go super in depth, this is just me going on a tangent about em.

One Piece Gold (left) was a lot of fun, I loved the premise where they entered this huge ass island/boat city of gold filled with entertainment and casinos (I'm like "ohhh they're on the strip! LOL). I liked the build up of the plot and backstory of the villain. Tbh I think this movie did a way better job at building up the villain in comparison to One Piece Red where it just... IMMEDIATELY went into action??? I enjoy being able to immerse myself in the specific plot and feel of a movie, and so I think this movie did better in that aspect. ALSO, THERE WERE SO MANY OUTFIT CHANGES IN THIS MOVIE!!! It's so cute that for a number of them, they're all matching??? Also... um... Zoro in the beginning of the movie where he just had the baseball cap and he's shirtless... uhhhhh he looked so good wtf... wished they had him in that for longer LOL I also thought Luffy looked SO CUTE in the all white outfit with the orange shades and cowboy hat. Really enjoyed the Sabo appearance in this, tho wished I saw him crush a guy's head!! LOOOL Anyway, really liked this movie.

One Piece movie 6: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island is what I watched last night after holding it off since FOREVER AND TBH I DON'T THINK I'LL LIKE A ONE PIECE MOVIE MORE THAN THIS ONE LOOOL. So the main reason why I wanted to watch this movie was primarily because of the ART STYLE. I LOVE HOW CUTE AND EXAGGERATED IT IS. The flat colors, lanky limbs, thin lines, angles, and expressiveness UGH EVERYTHING. I kept wondering why it felt so familiar and it's because the director of this movie is Mamoru Hosoda! And he directed movies like Mirai (my Goro projection movie), Summer Wars, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Wolf Children (I watched this movie when I was in a 3 hour life drawing class and was bawling), etc. ANYWAY-- his influence was STRONG in this movie because the thing I like about his style is the human INTERACTIONS he has between the characters and showing the closeness, with their touches, or expression, and even utilizing the awkward silences in the conversations. It was SO nice seeing the Straw Hats interact in this kind of way and I am just IN LOVE WITH HOW LUFFY LOOKED IN THIS MOVIE HE WAS SO CUTE I LOVE HIM!!! I also love how when Nami wanted Luffy's attention, she would just GRAB HIS FACE. So anyway, as I was looking more into who was involved in this movie, I saw that Masahiro Ito did the screenplay. I had to do a double take on that name. BITCH. OF COURSE HIS NAME WAS FAMILIAR BECAUSE THAT MAN IS THE ART DIRECTOR FOR TEAM SILENT? MR PYRAMID HEAD CREATOR MAN HIMSELF. WHAT IS HE DOING WRITING THE SCREENPLAY FOR THIS ONE PIECE MOVIE. The whole time I'm just thinking "Oh my god. This movie is going to get REALLY weird." And my god... for One Piece/shounen standards... yeah. There are scenes where I had to turn around to Hun while I was watching and go "... You seeing this." LOL LIKE... I KNOW THIS MOVIE WILL NOT BE EVERYONE'S CUP OF TEA BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT??? It was like watching the weirdest collab One Piece fanfiction come to life. I just really appreciate the direction and vibe this movie had and seeing One Piece in this kind of style. Honestly would love if other anime directors wanted to take their own spin of One Piece and just make a movie. Yah well that's my tangent, I love One Piece LOL

which brings us to the next one which is actually an octoling oc i made back in like 2016??? def splatoon 1 era. shes been redesigned a bajillion times but the story is mostly the same. after the octavio fight she is also one of those octos who tried to get to inkopolis. this one was found by three who was like. i jave no idea what ur saying ur coming with the the old man totes knows octarian from his divorce. this n that and they teach eachother language and culture and its sweet and cool and they probabyl had some wlw stuff going on until 3 had a wholeass gender crisis

this is her btw. the drawing on the right is more up to date. im still thinking of renaming her. ill never find a name that fits. her original name was marianna but thats too close to marina!!!!!

shes also a fashion designer! she likes to use traditional octarian or military designs in her clothes. her pieces are not meant for turf wars though. shes still in close contact with three, and they hang out a lot. she wants to get three to ask the squid sisters if they could wear some of her clothes on a splatfest. three forgets.

next up!!!!! agent 4. i have two of those. they independently became agent 4 and then unrelatedly also became college roommates.

hash is more of a canon adjacent agent 4. poser, loser, really dramatic and really loud. kidna does whatever they want and also likes to leave graffitti on the kettles they clear. theyre also an only child. they also call marie mom jsut to annoy her. also their hairstyle is the bob in the front but the back is spiky/shaved. theyre a silly lil punk.

ikarus is a cynical asshole. and also a self centered poser whos set on looking cool for whoevers watching. he has 2 younger siblings and 1 older sister. hes from outside greater inkopolis, thinks hes better than the in city inkopolitans but behaves the exact same. he sucks i love him. he really looks up to n respects marie bc she reminds him of his elder sister. his fav brand is toni kensa

ikarus got the agent job first, n got rlly mad when they found out that theres another agent 4 bc he didnt show up enough nd marie just hired someone else. they share a uniform. they try to annoy eachother by puttinf the weirdest smelling stuff in the uniform b4 leaving it at the canyon. when talking ab em as agent 4 i like to use #4 for hash and n°4 for ikarus

the two also have a 3rd roommate

she doesnt have a name though. and if she does i forgot it :(

the three actually make a pretty good unit in their apartement. hash and ikarus only find out theyre both agent 4 when its time for the boss fight and both of them show up to get it done with. theyre both very competitive. they end up fighting over it and hash wins. ikarus is on the truck w sheldon and marie and is yelling insults at the battlefield until marie shuts him up so she can sing.

thw three roommates also always do salmon run shifts together. if they fuck up on a wave they always blame it on the one freelancer. yes they also kiss.

for eight i actually made this ref here recently!

theyve always been really fascinated with inklings and also were going to become an engineer before running off and landing in the metro.

they are very well spoken but also pretty shy. they try to make a good impression on people. finds it hard to trust others.

it took a while until he got used to sleeping in a bed. still sleeps with an eye open sometimes. its a habit.

theyre usualyl the one forcing three into at least okay looking clothes. oh also this tall loser likes to wear heels n platforms. hes literally taller than marina and still wears heels.

he actually started learning inklish back in octo valley from really outdated books. after coming to inkopolis hes been given a buncha annotated language books from marina (and from three, who still had the ones they used w the other octo girlie). but they still end up using some really old phrases and words that kinda leave some people perplexed.

oh also they're not THAT good at fighting (they were never a soldier) theyre smart and persistent though. still ended up severely in debt w pearl bc of the metro. pearl offered he can just work as stage crew for off the hook for a few tours or so and theyre good. he took the offer immediately bc bro barely got income to repay that all normally.

fun fact! soleil’s main design hadn’t received an actual redesign since she was first created in 2021! while i changed super minor details along the way (bc i refuse to look at my own ocs references) he stayed fundamentally the same up until now! This still has many details from their og design but I simply gave it more character, I think! I’m frankly really happy with it ^_^

Sorry Its One Big Wall Of Text

One issue I had with Soleil’s initial design was that it was supposed to look a little weird. Like something your avg person wouldn’t wear 24/7. I couldn’t have her change outfits bc by the lore another weird thing he does is simply never change clothes. Their old design SURE was something your avg person wouldn’t wear everyday it was still lacking that ,, weirdness factor I think? It was really clean. I wanted her to look both organic and alive yet not exactly in a way that makes sense? Something graceful yet also just. flesh. Sol is cool bc. I associate her heavily with a lot of meat and flesh but she isn’t even flesh and bone herself. N that plays into the weirdness of it all too? I think. Its 1 am right now sorry if this is very badly worded LMAO Sol also acts as a good parallel to AZIMUTH actually in this design ideology bc . hes also supposed to look out of place and odd. But he looks out of place in a polished-almost out of your computer screen kind of way. Hes colorful (and he actually changes clothes very frequently. Too Frequently.) N thats a well contrast to sol.. I think.. Fun. Very Fun. Anyways yeah back to sol. Sols hair started out fairly tame but along the refusing to use references the art telephone game tm with myself it became very sharp and pointy and just. messy. and thats just not what i think he should look like ?!?! So i fixed up his hair. The tiptoeing thing was jist sumn that came to me while i was sketching N i was like OH this is it! That will add to the Weirdness Factor or something. I’ve walked on my tiptoes basically all my life n ppl always made huge of a deal out of it so ik from experience people notice it n perceive it as. odd behavior 🤧 I was thinking of mayb going for an anatomically correct heart silhouette or something but. Im very attached to soleils generally Very Symmetrical silhouette i didnt wanna touch it much… I think i incorporated enough <3 hearts to make up for it though! OH AND. Downturned her eyes! Ive been not drawing characters with downturned eyes for a while . Unsure why it became less frequent of me to draw them. Figured they fit her so. Thats a win for me bc i always love trying to make sure my ocs have unique ish traits within their circles. VERY LIKELY the design will get simplified as i draw him in the future. We’ll see i guess. How do you design the outfits for people (like your GG ocs and young Darius/Eberwold and stuff) They're all so pretty!!

Thank you! I was actually thinking of one day making a post about how i make up witchy outfits! This ask isnt going to be that but Im glad to answer my process!

In short, its a lot of observation, references and extrapolating from there

And here's the long version:

For younger Darius and Eber i mostly did small changes to these outfits i did when they were even younger, around 17, with some changes + adding some flare of their current outfits as well

And in turn, for Darius' outfit i took inspiration from the photo in reaching out where he's booing Alador + the boots he used in TTBK.

Eber was mostly improvised, kept the main aspects of his current outfit (and the hollow mind one too), the raggedy bits, shorts/skirts, no sleeves, little boots, wrist things, and implemented them in different ways

And also on these i started adding details they have now, like the wrist bands on Eber and a cape + white gloves for Darius

(plus i had been sketching some ideas for casual outfits for current Darius and those have been inspired by the outfits I have for a non toh oc of mine because they kinda fit Darius' vibe and he also has a bit of diamond shape motif like Darius. That's where the sash thing comes from)

Another important thing i keep doing on a lot of characters is that a common shape for the neck of the shirts is V that Hunter, Lilith and many other characters have. Its all over the place when you stop to look for it. And other really common thing is that theres a lot of long shirts that have a belt or waitsband, extremely common

I did answer a bit of how I designed Cain and Salem's outfits here but in short, it was a lot of referencing both Hunter's outfits, concept art for coven scouts/Hunter (i actually found more concept art for coven scouts but haven't took the time to really absorb them) and also the hollow mind portraits.

Something I haven't shown a lot here yet is that Ive designed casual outfits for all my main four GGs (sorry Alexander and William, you're too hard for me to design stuff for now :'3) which was really helpful on figuring out on what feels like Boiling Isles' fashion. Might do a post about my process on that + the uniforms of my other GGs and their physical appearances

(fun fact, Cain has a lot of stuff that I drew on older versions of Hunter, including the scar across the eye)

So yeah, lots of observation, references and a healthy dose of extrapolation and improvising. And taking vibes from other places helps too. I think even some stuff from my old Hunter aus have seeped into some of these designs too, like the Hunter Whispers outfit, looks pretty similar to the 17 year old Darius outfit i did so it was probably an unconscious reference (which also, remembering again, i did also base on the shape of his hollow mind shirt. See, i keep remembering things that are or could have been inspirations for these things fjsndnd)

But its also a thing you have to get some practice going on before it feels right and turns into something easy to do

I myself have struggled a lot with Darius' outfit on his early 20s, this is actually the fourth attempt or so. Here's the previous attempt, from before i decided to make him younger than Cain + his outfit at 17 because i also found it while looking for the other photo and i don't think i posted that drawing before

His hair was a challenge to decide. But im happy with the final result!

Probably the GGE2022 for Macy. I had some other ideas. Also their poses were gonna be different like it was either the back of them looking at snow or tumbled into the snow on top of an ny roof top but still not the best at figure drawing so i just did the best of my abilities 😄

I would say my good omens au I simply adorethe little details I put into the drawing. I referenced Mickey's outfit in Ian's delete scene dream. Ian's outfit is 7x10 just in darker colours. I loved being able to create Ian's ombre eyes by colour picking Cameron's hazel ones. Ian's hair shading. The heart wings & being able to creat the wing texture on the angel wing. AND their signature shows with the timberland & bright read air forces!!! I had such a fun time drawing this 🥰 Also it was my 100,000 post lol

18. What is one thing you’d like to tell people about your art that they might not know?

My gallavich art is the first time I've been colouring my drawings. When I drew a lot in high school I would just do the line art & was too hesitant to colour them.

19. What inspires or motivates you to create for fandom?

Definitely you guys! Being able to make you guys smile. As well as your creations & the creating events 💕🖌

I do like to crawl up into a hunched ball on the lounge couch or my bed (which should stop bad for posture lol) Then I do enjoy playing YouTube video essays about internet history/horror games I'd never play or movie reactions.

Also, I am more of an artist who researches & and works with many references. I got a whole lotta unclosed tabs of Ian & Mickey, body poses & clothes that i forgot to close lol.
