Cale Henituse, a man burdened by the weight of his unfulfilled dreams, stood alone in front of a tomb, his heart heavy with grief. His one and only aspiration was to lead a peaceful life, a life filled with love and joy alongside his beloved Y/N and their children. However, that dream seemed forever out of his reach, shattered by the cruel hands of fate.

It had been years since the war with the White Star, a battle that claimed the life of his dear Y/N. Cale could still vividly recall the harrowing sight of Y/N sacrificing themselves to protect him, the anguish etched deep within his soul. The image haunted his every waking moment, a constant reminder of his failure to safeguard the one person who meant everything to him.

In the aftermath of that tragic day, Cale had held on to a glimmer of hope. He believed that once the war was over, he would be able to return home with Y/N, their dreams finally within grasp. But life had a cruel way of dashing one's hopes, and Cale soon realized that his beloved Y/N was forever lost to him.

As Cale gazed upon the name engraved on the tombstone, a bittersweet smile tugged at his lips. Memories flooded his mind, memories of Y/N's radiant smile, their laughter, and the warmth of their voice. Yet, deep down, he knew that these recollections were mere echoes of the past, fleeting and intangible. Y/N was gone, and nothing could bring them back.

"Forgive me," Cale whispered softly, his voice laden with remorse. "I couldn't protect you."

Suddenly, a warmth enveloped Cale from behind, as if someone had wrapped their arms around him in a tender embrace. Startled, he turned around, his eyes filled with both hope and disbelief. "Y/N?" he called out, his voice trembling with longing.

But there was no one there, only empty air and the silent stillness of the cemetery. Cale's heart sank, reality crashing down upon him once more. Tears welled up in his eyes, a mixture of grief, frustration, and love.

"Don't blame yourself, Cale," a whisper carried on the wind, barely audible yet unmistakably Y/N's voice. Cale's heart skipped a beat, and he strained to catch another trace of that ethereal sound, but it was gone as quickly as it had come.

Could it be his imagination? Or was it something more? Cale couldn't help but wonder. Regardless, those few words ignited a flicker of strength within him, a newfound resolve to carry on and honor Y/N's memory.

With a heavy heart and tear-stained cheeks, Cale knelt before the tombstone, tracing the engraved name with trembling fingers. "I will fulfill our dreams, Y/N," he vowed, his voice filled with determination. "Even if you're no longer by my side, I will live a life that would make you proud."

"cale." your voice was flat, eyes narrowed in a exasperated manner. "how many times are you going to do this?"

he turned away from the window, meeting yours. "do what? all i'm doing is protecting roan."

you sighed. "how many times are you going to keep sacrificing yourself? you know we are more than capable of helping you. there's no need to put yourself in harm's way all the time."

did he think it was to atone for his past sins? perhaps his way of apologizing for what he had done, what he failed to do? no. you thought. that's not the cale i know and love. it pained you. very much so. whenever he would spurt out blood, on the verge of passing out. for what? to protect his family? a noble cause, but we all know he's the one who needs protecting. so why? why did he keep doing this to himself?

cale stayed quiet, eyes away from you now, choosing to rest his gaze on the foot of his bed. moments later, he spoke. "ah, but don't you see, y/n? i am but a trash to the count, a mere thorn in the side of the family. ‘saving’ roan just happens to be in alignment to my dream of living a peaceful slacker life. this is all for my own benefit, i assure you,” he grinned, his usual smirk plastered onto his face.

your brows furrowed, lips contorted into a frown. "cale. sure, you want your slacker life, but you go out of your way to shield us from danger. let us help you too. you'd do anything to protect the world, wouldn't you? there's no need to be a hero day and night. after all," your eyes softened, cheeks reddening slightly. "you.. deserve the world."

"and whose to say the comfort of my family isn't part of my slacker life? just because its my life doesn't mean you all don't get to live nicely." he paused, eyes flitting towards you, a genuine smile on his face. "you are my world. and as you said, i will do anything to protect it."

Rhythmic slapping sounds filled the large room. The bed under her was shaking vigorously, the sturdy head hitting the wall with each movement the red haired ex-Commander behind her made.

Warnings: snowstorm, light mention of fire, mention of sharp but no sharp objects, cale's slacker life is slowly getting away from him.

A/n: Jeez that's so cute, don't hurt yourself running to the request button 😭. Yeah, I've only had a couple until this one, and my requests are indeed open. I had this song by Reinheart (?) in my head.

The snow looked heavenly, falling outside the window heavily, painting the horizon and the Henituse mansion in a layer of pure white. However, with the beauty of the snow, comes the crueler cold.

(Y/n) and Cale had retired earlier than usual the day before, cancelling their duties for the day after, due to the sudden wintery storm, as did many others. The two lovers quickly changed into their most comfortable and warm nightrobes, adding layers of socks and woollen throws on the bed, before tucking in themselves, huddling as close as possible to fight the cold. Hans came in soon after, lighting the fire and putting wood on the side in case it needed rekindling in the middle of the night, leaving quickly after Cale chased him out. The night went by quickly and quietly as both lovers stayed in the comfort of each other's arms.

Before long, morning came, the storm still beating down onto the ground in full swing, waking (Y/n) up. Blinking the sleep out of their eyes, they allowed their mind to slowly remember the day before, the storm, and finally their lover lying beside them.

The man was laying on his side, right arm lazily slung across their body, hand gently grasping their lower back, warm fingers stilled against their back, where he had previously been softly stroking the skin there, night before. Their legs were mutually tangled, clothes straining against the muscles wound together in a mess.

He looks ethereal when he's relaxed, and not thinking about overthrowing another country.

(Y/n) stared at his pretty features longer, hand desperately itching to thread their fingers through his hair, however the warm, soft comfort of the sheets offered a better feeling than the sharp, crisp cold of the room. It wasn't technically that cold, since the fireplace was raging away in the room, warming the couple through the heavy snowy storm, however they couldn't be bothered to leave the cosy, snug sheets just yet.

Then, an idea went off in their head, a sinister smile developing on their face at their cruel plan.

(Y/n) stuck their hands out of the sheets, wincing at the slightly colder temperature nipping at their fingers, quickly putting their fingers back in after an appropriate amount of time, lifting Cale's sleep shirt up-

-and put their much colder hands on his abdomen, gently tickling his sides, before moving up to his chest.

Cale groaned uncomfortably twitching his body away from the freezing sensation.

When the culprit still continued their onslaught onto his body he sighed, grabbing their hands and trapping them tightly in a hug, rendering (Y/n) unable to move.

He grumbled out loud, eyes refusing to open to the light of day (though there was no sun peeking through the curtains) his voice reverberated through the large room.

'Why did you wake me up? It's far too early for this.'

Cale felt his lover's smirk on his neck - as their face was snugly lying there - as they proclaimed their entertainment to his demise. He felt his eyebrow twitch.

'Stopping me from living my slacker life is funny to you?'

'Absolutely. You stop yourself from living it with all of your shenanigans, I'm merely helping you avoid it.'

'...'

Cale could not help but sigh, plotting a revenge of his own, he stuck his fingers out in the cold - already hating the sensation - flipped (Y/n) over until he was hovering above them and attached his hands to their sides, tickling them more viciously than they originally did to him.

An explosion of laughter and pleads for mercy could be heard through the room, as one of the bodies under the covers was desperately fighting for their freedom from such a cruel attack.

The man stared at his lover from above, a soft smile on his face as they struggled against his hold - which is quite weak. Cale's body started heating up more, as he started using his Records, engraving this moment into his mind forever. Both people in the bed did not hear the door stealthily opening until a voice appeared next to Cale's ear, startling him from its loud tone.

'Human! Don't be so mean to (Y/n)!'

His fingers halted at the voice filling the room, soon followed by two others.

'Right, don't be so horrible, nya!'

'It's very cold, be nicer to (Y/n), nya!'

When did they get in here?

Raon could see the confusion on his father's face, proudly exclaiming that he, On and Hong all snuck in with his master plan, since he is of course a Great and Mighty dragon. Hong bobbed his head in agreement as On stared at her parents, warmth building in her chest at how lovingly (Y/n) looked at the three of them.

Cale sighed through his nose, letting his body slump into the bed, next to his lover, as On, Hong and Raon snuck under the covers, comfortably lying in the space between their two parents, making light conversation. At one point, the conversation steered towards the snow outside, the children saying that they had never built a snowman. (Y/n) then piped up.

'We could make a snowman later on then. We'd need some carrots, pebbles and some sticks, but the carrots are nothing we can't quickly steal from the kitchen.'

Cale glared at them, silently saying to not give them any ideas, can't they both relax in bed today?

However, his wishes were not heard, as the children all excitedly spoke at the same time, already planning what type of snowmen they'd build and other activities they would partake in.

A hand leaned over the bodies between Cale and (Y/n), squeezing his own in reassurance and love.

The man sighed, a corner of his lips lifting up, hearing the noise the three children made, not masking any ounce of their excitement, hearing his lover propose more activities to them, as they stroked his hand with theirs.

I guess cold days aren't as bad as they seem.

•If we're talking about the arrogant and self-centered Eruhaben back when he was young, he would've ignored you. He didn't hold any animosity towards people who are weak but you simply wouldn't have captured his attention. If you were a troublesome human then he would've grumbled while dealing with you but he would've only seen you as small fry, you weren't a threat therefore he had no reason to use his strength.

•It would take a lot of luck, coincidences, and headaches for the younger Eruhaben to warm up to you.

•OKAY but first of all, give him a break. Eruhaben is still young in dragon years but he feels himself age at least one hundred years each time he sees you try to defend him from the other dragons who ridicule him for his attribute, he understands that you're kind-hearted but you're also weak, if he hadn't gotten there in time--

•Ironically, he wouldn't get angry at you (he's secretly touched), he'd get angry at the ignorant dragon who tried to attack you. He nags them and maybe.. maayyybbbeee let off some steam. (Translation: he beats them up)

•If we're talking about the more mellow and wise Eruhaben in his late years, he sees you as someone he must protect. He sees that you're weak and he isn't afraid of saying that, though he doesn't say it in a bad connotation, says it more as a fact. It's similar to how he calls Cale an unlucky bastard (affectionate)

•He most probably thinks you're the most normal thing he's seen ever since he's been dragged around with Cale's group, it's actually a bit refreshing.

•Is gentle with you. It's more of a subconscious gesture of his, he doesn't exactly know when he started treating you like that, it just… happened.

•Wonders how you can be so.. soft? If you were someone who was a part of Cale's group (because you really would have no other reason to be able to meet Eruhaben in the first place if you weren't in Cale's group), then you would've seen the terrible things others have done first hand. It's impressive that you can stay kind despite the not-so-favorable circumstances.

#Cale Henituse

•Cale is skilled at picking a person's strength and weakness and using those attributes to make them improve themselves. You're no exception, Cale doesn't think you need to change yourself but a little self-improvement never hurt anyone, did it?

•It doesn't really change his perception of you. He himself is quite weak though soft-hearted is… debatable. (That's in his opinion anyways, he's definitely soft-hearted but he has a higher chance of chugging a liter of sour lemon juice before he'd admit that)

•He tries to keep you out of dangerous situations, a lackluster attempt really. You follow him to prevent him from getting out of trouble and get injured less but you could get injured in the process and he doesn't exactly know how to tell you that the reason why you shouldn't worry too much is because he has a self-healing ancient power. (Though your attempts at making him behave himself and get injured less because after a while he understood, he gets injured = you get injured as well)

•You might as well become a nurse because you're always the one tending to his wounds and doting on him. Ron jokingly mentions that someone's stolen his job when he sees you hand Cale some lemon tea (You saw him drink it often so you assumed it was his favorite but you don't realize the sheer amount of terror and despair he felt when you gave it to him)

•Extra: The kids and Choi Han use you as leverage whenever he's overdoing it. Again.

•"Cale-nim, [Y/N] has been irritated because of your injuries recently. They might get upset to see you in such a terrible condition."

•"They'll be really angry! They might even cry nya~"

•"Weak human! Don't make [Y/N] cry!"

#Bud Illis

•Probably clings to you a bit. We've seen how the others treat him, he knows they don't mean anything from their actions but it can get annoying.

•Goes to you to relax. He finds comfort in.your soft personality and regularly invites you to go drinking with him. Even though it ends up with him stumbling out whatever bar you guys were at with him clinging to you. (He's probably not even drunk)

•Rants to you. Okay it sounds a little annoying at first, but, Bud isn't the type to blabber his mouth about his issues. It shows he trusts you to confide in you and he never really knows if you'll betray him but if the comforting words falling from your lips is a good sign then he'll take it.

•Gives you a position that will keep you near him but also keep you out of danger. Think… a secretary! You're the secretary of Cale's secretary! He only gives you small tasks and errands though, it can be a bit irritating but it isn't hard smacking some sense into him, literally and figuratively

•Glenn thanks the gods Bud had someone like you to help him take care of him or else he would've lost his mind (if he hasn't already)

- kim dokja spectates cale’s group in the jungle (honestly amazed by his group, his ancient powers, and his great acting skills + “10/10, would totally fool Kim Dokja’s Company, right 4th Wall?” + [th a t s in cons e que n tial K im Do kja] + stares and raises a brow at the 4th Wall + [. . .th e y lw ou ld d e fi nit e ly b e foo l ed] + he huffs out a small laugh))

- kim dokja then wakes up to a quiet and luxurious room and finds himself meeting a prince; aka. cale henituse literally drops him off with the prince

- “i need a favor, your highness.” + “what is it?” + “...your highness, the rising sun of the roan kingdom, the shining light of this world, the bright golden heart of-” + “spit it out.” + “take this.” + “wha- crazy bastard, this is a child!”

- cue small kim dokja being nervous at how intensely the prince stares at him when he wakes up (he doesn’t know him)

- alberu gives him food and cookies without talking, kim dokja is glad as he silently stuffs himself with delicious food that he hasn’t eaten in thousands of years (and well if a few tears start falling out of his eyes while eating cookies, the nice, but weird blonde man doesn’t dare say anything about it)

- alberu then starts asking him questions;

- “who are you?” + “yoo joo-” kim dokja says “kim dokja, i mean kim dokja.”) + alberu looks confused but nods + “how old are you, young child?” + “15?” he sweat drops at ‘young child’ because he’s pretty sure he’s way older than the blonde man but he doesn’t remember how old + alberu on the other hand feels bad because he thinks that this poor kid doesn’t know his age (which he’s right) so he doesn’t question it + “did you enjoy the food and cookies?” + a moment of embarrassed silence...”yes.”

- in the tiniest part of alberu’s mind, he wants to adopt this child but no, he can’t;

- ‘this child is not mine’ + ‘i dont have time or knowledge to take care of a child’ + ‘the child suddenly appeared randomly in a battlefield that was filled by black despair and then hit by an ancient power ‘how the fuck-’ ‘ + ‘do i really want to?’

(lmao, idk i feel like he’d be too tired to even adopt + he has a big secret)

- kim dokja then listens in to their conversation of the big plan (aka. commander cale ‘supposedly’ being at the brink of death) which makes him nod in understanding, because ‘dying really solves all your problems, doesn’t it? + [...] + ‘i won’t do anything stupid.’

(obviously he will do something stupid and the 4th Wall knows)

- after a while, there’s a small ruckus and he sees the blonde man run around trying to do all his work, so he wants to help the man who fed him;

- “do you need help?” + “haaaah...” alberu sighs, because a poor child really just offered help, ‘how overworked do i look for a child to want to help?’ + “i can take all the calls...” + “just keep eating your cookies and rest kim dokja.”

- kim dokja vibes (because he deserves it :D) and watches alberu struggle (poor crown prince D:)

and then boom

- kim dokja escapes because really, he needs to go back somehow

If so can I request a Romantic Yandere!Cale Henituse × Reader who's Cursed and experimented on?

Maybe they has some Ancient Powers locked inside of them that made them valuable or was a potential host of becoming a powerful puppet soldier. In any ways, Reader is a cold wall but when you break it down they become more clingy, dependant, and soft.

Let's say Cale found them in complete accident, while investigating some "stuff". He also discovers the files containing about Reader's abilities and while he decides to first send them off somewhere, Cale thinks that it would be mote beneficial if he recruits Reader instead. you once heard from that scientist about the ancient power locked inside your body. a very powerful ancient power that can destroy a whole kingdom in a blink of an eye. you were the top candidate to become a powerful puppet soldier that will save your kingdom from wars.

but you hate it. you don't want to kill. you don't want to hurt anyone. but you were too tired. you were too tired to feel the same feeling that you felt every day. the feeling of some drugs being injected into your body. you were too tired of seeing the same hallucinations that you see every day. you want to end it. you want to end your life so much. and if you can't end your life peacefully just like you want to. you will just bring this facility, the scientists, the magicians and the whole kingdom with you to hell.

and the first one who became a platonic yandere for you is raon. this little dragon sees his old self to you. so pitiful, so weak. and he vows to himself that he will ask his human to let you stay with them.

and at first, of course, our lovable yet kinda dense red-head commander wants to send you off. he thought that it will be better and beneficial for both of you if he sends you off. but he erased that idea from his mind after hearing raon's request. and it will be more beneficial for him to recruit you instead since you will be a great ally to him. of course he doesn't even know that he will slowly but surely become yandere for you after you agreed to stay with them.

first, let's list down the platonic yanderes for you. first of all, there were the kids ( on, hong, raon ) who was willing to kill the people who wants to use them just to get close to their human. and please remember, even if you were reaalllyyy cold to them at first, they really love your presence! even though you don't pay any attention to them! just stay with them in the super rock villa! ahh, of course, they will be really happy if you and their human will end up with each other!

the next one is the dragons ( sheritt, eruhaben, mila, rasheel, dodori and of course, the dragon half-blood ). let's start with sheritt first. we all know that sheritt already lost one of her sons. and seeing raon clinging to you just like how he clung to cale. sheritt was surprised. and of course, she treats you like you were her daughter despite of you ignoring their presence. the next one is eruhaben, mila and rasheel. we all know how prideful the dragons are. but for some reasons. These three dragons were really obsessed with you. eruhaben and rasheel, being a tsundere they are. they won't even admit that they love you (in a platonic way of course). and the thought of those mere humans using you to get close to cale makes their blood boil. well, getting rid of them is a good choice. mila doesn't really like you that much before. but after seeing you having a nightmare one night, it boosted her yandere tendencies. ahh, if she will be given a chance to kill those humans who made you like this she will make sure to shatter their bodies in pieces where even their own family won't be able to recognize them.

and dodori and the dragon half-blood. we all know that dodori is a big fan of cale. and after hearing from raon about you, he becomes curious. since in his eyes, you look quite intimidating and scary (since raon described you as a kind human). he thought that you were only fooling raon. but he slowly, after following you and watching you for a few days. he started seeing you as his big sister. dodori doesn't care if you were only fooling them but he and his hoobae will protect you forever! while our dragon half-blood was the only sane platonic yandere here. he wasn't that obsessed with you, unlike the others. but he was willing to kill someone for you. just say the word.

let's move on with alberu, choi han, rosalyn, lock, beacrox, ron, mary, cage, tasha, witira, paseton, and archie. oh! oh! this combination of yanderes was quite good! first of all, they care about you as much as they care about cale. there is alberu who loves spoiling you with material things. since according to him, he just wants to take care of his future sister-in-law. and there is rosalyn, mary and sometimes tasha, cage, and witira who loves dressing you up. they don't care about the scars that you've got from the scientists and mages before. they just love dressing you up like a doll ( note, they were the ones who sets you and cales date every time since according to them, cale is quite dense when it comes to these kinds of things ). and there is archie and paseton who visits you often in the super rock villa. and these two doesn't even realize that they are yanderes for you. since according to archie, they aren't used to these types of things.

and there is choi han and lock who was assigned ( by cale of course ) to be your bodyguard. even though you treat them as if they don't exist, they don't care. oh, and they find it funny and cute whenever they see you staring at nothing. it kinda reminds them of cale. alright, let's move on with the molan father-son duo who loves to take care of you! well, the main reason why beacrox became attached to you was that the only time they saw your face brighten up was the time when you ate the food that beacrox cooked. after that day, beacrox started treating you as his little sister. and seeing beacrox, cale and everyone around him acting weird. ron also become curious about you. what's so special about you? that's the question that ron had on his mind. but the more time he spends with you, the more he becomes attached to you. you were so fragile and just like the young master, you act like an obedient puppy sometimes. and he knows the things you've gone through that made you like a stone and cold as ice. kukuku, ron is curious about what will gonna happen once they were able to make you open your heart to them.

the henituse family especially lily and basen really adores you. how can't they adore you? you were really cute! and seeing you and their cale sitting next to each other without saying anything is really adorable! for their eyes, the two of you were made for each other. and let me tell you a secret, lady violan is the one who discovered your love of food. since she was the first one who saw you smile after eating the chocolate chip cookie that she made. and after hearing that from his wife, deruth gave you a huge box full of chocolate cookies as a present.

okay, the last and the most obsessed with you. the supreme commander of the allied nation, cale henituse. We know that cale isn't really used with ‘love’. and despite of being a smart person. cale took a while to realize that there was something odd with his adoration for you. the first time he realized it was when you sneaked out to go on the market. and that time, cale was nervous and worried about you. it's funny to think that he was worried that you left them when he planned to send you off before.

cale couldn't help it, you were addicting. your presence itself was really addicting. and this was the first time that cale wants to be greedy. he wants you to stay by his side. he doesn't know what will he gonna do if he loses you like how he lost lee so hyuk and choi jung soo. and the more he sees you, the more his yandere tendencies worsen.

and after a year of staying with them. you noticed one thing. the super rock villa was safer than the facility where you have grown up. unlike that place, here, you have many people who care for you (even though they were a bit crazy, you don't really care). and unlike that place, you can eat delicious food and wear comfy clothes here. this might take a while, but you slowly opened yourself to them.

the first time you approached them first is when you offered to play with the kids. and to be honest, they were surprised and really happy because of your offer. and that time was the first time when they heard you laugh so softly. and after that, raon excitedly said it to his mother who happened to be with eruhaben, mila, rasheel, dodori and the dragon half-blood.

and boy! boy! sheritt might be happy to see her son happy. there was also a side of her who also wants to hear you laugh. and so are the other dragons and the dragon half-blood. that's why sheritt decided to invite you to a tea party with her and the other dragons. and on that said party, after seeing your long yet kinda messy hair. eruhaben decided to braid it for you and of course, you obeyed him and sat quietly in your chair while nibbling your cookie. and how will they say this? rasheel, dodori and the dragon half-blood weren't really used to seeing you acting like a child. while sheritt and mila happily decorated your hair with some flowers. and after they finished decorating your hair, they gave you a mirror to show it to you. and boy! rasheel almost choke his tea, and the dragon half-blood and dodori's eyes brightened up after hearing you giggling softly as you thank them.

and after seeing that clingy and childish side of yours. only made everyone want to protect you more. hah, even though they love that side of yours. they are also worried that people might take advantage of you. tsk, tsk, tsk, it looks like they need to protect you even more.
