This art was actually something I initially drew for a college project. We were doing a project where we had to animate the lyrics to a retro kids show and I chose Card Captors! Loved that show growing up, so I decided to do some artwork of Sakura to include in the animation.
When it was coming time for my convention I decided to bring it back out. I played with the background a lot, trying to find something I liked. In the end I just went with something more pattern based. I think it looked nice.

I was reminded of something that I want to make a PSA about
When recommending or praising anime with LGBTQIA+ representation it is important to keep in mind the negatives that come with it
And I mean it like full on trigger warnings because not everyone has seen these shows/read these manga and we shouldn't blindly recommend what can be upsetting material to people
I'm not saying the anime I list here are bad or that if you enjoy them you should feel bad. I just want to be clear that it isn't necessarily a good recommendation (especially for younger generations)
So Trigger Warning for the following
TW: Homophobia, Transphobia, Incest and Paedophilia
Card Captors - paedophilia
Ouran High School Host Club - homophobia and incest
Ramna 1/2 - homophobia and transphobia
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid - paedophilia
Stop!! Hibarikun! - transphobia
And honestly a lot of anime are worthy of trigger warnings so in general people should keep that in mind when recommending them
I'm mostly focus on lgbt+ media because I know from personal experience how upsetting watching/reading something that is suppose to be good representation just for it to be filled with homophobia and transphobia
I understand that some of these are dear to peoples hearts but ignoring the problematic material will do more harm than good
