Fiddling around with the idea of a Richard III!wc au, with the Tigerkin as the Lancaster and the Firekin as the York (or maybe the contrary?)

A few things would change obviously like the dynasty side of Thunderclan and/or Shadowclan would be stronger and the characters themselves changing a bit.

This far my notes are:

Lionblaze as Edward of York, Hollyleaf as George of Clarence and Jayfeather as Richard of Gloucester, OR Dawnpelt as Edward, Flametail as George and Tigerheart as Richard. Possible other three-siblings litters accepted.

Doing it with DawnFlameTiger is even more interesting given that George dies drowned, like Dawn and Flame both.

But then we need "Edward" to have kids, so maybe Tigerheart as Edward, Dawnpelt as George and Flametail as Richard?

Let's say it's TigerDawnFlame we chose, Tawnypelt makes a great Lady Cecily, cursing the child who brought doom on her own linage.

Then who is Anne Neville though? she needs to be the widow of a Lancaster prince and daughter in law of a lancaster king. I'd go with Brightheart, and make Cloudtail Firestar's adopted son instead of nephew, and possibly deputy. But then Flametail x Brightheart?? It's best if "Richard" and "Anne" are around the same age.

If we don't go with Tigerkin in Shadowclan we can go with Fire and Tiger in Thunderclan.

What about Cinderheart as lady Cecily, and three of her kits as Edward, George and Richard? Fernsong, Hollytuft and Sorrelstripe? Given the cultural differences between medieval england and current warrior cats, we can have a gender swap for some characters.

Or or or... LionHollyJay as EdwardGeorgeRichard, and then Cinderheart becomes Edward's widow. That being said, it feels slighty out of character for Jayfeather to kill his whole family in order to become leader (yeah yeah it feels ooc for all the other cats i listed i know).

Going back to Shadowclan...

What about a Wish and Hope survived AU? Brokentail becomes Richard and when Raggedstar dies, leaving the "throne" to Wishflight, Brokentail starts pitting her against Hopesong... but it would requite too many OCs.

well actually "or" i just don't keep the family links exactly the same. Avoids the borderline incest (Richard trying to marry his own niece to secure his claim to the throne, for example, only "borderline" incest because it doesn't happen)

What about Ferncloud's line are the Lancaster? Whitewing becomes Lady Anne Neville, whose husband (Birchfall) and father in law (Dustpelt) were killed by Richard during the war. But if Whitewing is Anne Neville, I can't use the Firekin as the York because she's part of it.

So Tigerkin go.

Bramblestar as Richard III? Tawnypelt as George of Clarence and Hawkfrost as Edward? Except it would be weird to have Bramblestar be the impostor and Hawkfrost the rightful king.

Then why not Hawkfrost, the runt of the siblings (because he's not from the OG tiger line?) as Richard and Bramblestar as Edward.

YES!! It makes sense because then Edward's Widow is Squirrelflight and SHE HAS TWO SONS AND A DAUGHTER LIKE IN RICHARD III (counting the 3 as her kids even if they're not because it's already complicated enough) (although Richard did get rid of his nephews by pretending they were bastards, which here would be kinda true...)

But then the ships it gives us...

Hawkfrost x Whitewing. Attempted but foiled Hawkfrost x Hollyleaf. And then Hollyleaf marries Henry Tudor, who would then be... Foxleap? gotta check the family tree real quick.

The D'Onterre's Chateau is still one of the best locations in DAI omg I just finished it again <3 If there had been more... idk, human contact in the Emerald Graves besides Fairbanks that would've made it one of my favorite sections. Like Betta, Liesel, and Yves are people travelling together who are implied to have stayed in the chateau but we only learn their story thru Betta and I think it would've been amazing to have saved Yves from where ever she locked him in or even found Liesel alive maybe?? Or if we could've saved the D'Onterre girl or her parents??? And seen them wander Skyhold or smth?? I'm just obsessed with Orlesians.
