Still thinking about my convo with my friend this morning and just a little sad that we can’t share this thing we enjoyed so much together anymore. 😕 she’s perfectly entitled to her opinions just like I am mine so I absolutely respect hers (which is why I won’t even bring it up anymore) but it just kinda sucks that not only do we not agree on Taylor anymore but that it would actually be a flashpoint at this point I think.
Ah well, that’s what Tumblr is for.

When you started dating Leon Kennedy, obviously you knew there was an age gap. You figured it wasn’t a big deal. He’s only thirty-six. That isn’t that much older. And for the most part, that was true. The difference in years never seemed to play a huge part in how you loved each other. But there was one thing that reminded you of this man’s age.
He had a fucking flip phone.
Honestly, it didn’t even say much about his age. It highlighted his stubbornness. He was not incompetent. His job had him working with all kinds of shit that you didn’t even try to understand, so it’s not like he can’t work a smartphone. He just doesn’t want to.
It didn’t really matter. If anything, it was kind of cute. The way he fumbled with the buttons that were too small for his fingers. The loud chiming ringtone that he would grumble about yet never turn down. The sight of him trying to find the right distance to hold the phone away from his face so he could read the font. You had heart eyes on your first date when this man popped in a CD because he couldn’t use the aux with his flip phone. They were simple quirks, but they were just so endearing to you. You’d tease him about being outdated, and he’d put up with it cause it was you.
“Why do I need anything more? This thing can call you, and that’s all I really need,” he’d say with a teasing expression when you’d crack a joke.
You’d roll your eyes at the excessive charm, but you couldn’t help smiling. “Yeah, but-”
And he’d cut you off with a kiss. “Trust me. I like it. It’s simple. Plus it’s like indestructible. But if I ever want an upgrade, you’ll be the first to know.”
The only time Leon ever considered ditching his trusty flip phone and upgrading to something more advanced was when you would send him nudes. Seeing the masterpiece that is your body reduced to a handful of pixels on the tiny screen drove him fucking wild. Upon hearing the chime of his phone and seeing the small image of you gracing his screen, he’d find a moment alone to try and see the details. He’d hold the phone two inches away from his face trying to make out every last curve. Days when he got those pictures ended with nights where you got fucked on every surface in the house.
He’d come home from work, his eyes full of lust before he even saw you. You’d glide into the room with a knowing smile on your face. You wanted him just as bad as he wanted you.
“Hi, baby. How was work?” you ask, feigning innocence. You close the distance between the two of you and wrap your arms around him.
“Oh, you care about my work now, huh?” he asks, a smirk creeping onto his face as his arms return your embrace, “Doesn’t seem like it when you send me those cute pictures during the day, distracting me, making me think about you when I should be focused.”
Your lips part and your eyebrows raise in mock offense. “I only send those to help you, motivate you,” you tease as your fingers coast along his biceps, “Maybe if you had a real phone they wouldn’t bother you so much. You’d be able to see everything clearly and not be left imagining.”
“I don’t need to stress about pictures though when I got the real thing waiting at home for me every night,” he purrs as he leans in and starts kissing you.
You return the kiss with the same level of passion, lips moving with his as the two of you stumble over to the couch. You fall back onto the cushions with Leon on top of you. His hands already roam your body and begin removing articles of clothing. He wasn’t in the mood to take his time after having that grainy image of you gnawing at his mind all day.
“Fuck, baby. Every time… I can never get enough,” he grunts as he yanks your top over your head and tosses it to the side. His hands rub up and down your sides, the rough pads of his fingers dragging over your sensitive skin and making you squirm. In no time though, they’re on your breasts. He kneads the plump flesh as his lips trail down to your neck and collarbone, leaving a trail of saliva-coated skin in their wake.
He’s all over you all at once it seems. It’s overwhelming in the best way. You’re moaning and writhing on the couch, nearly trying to hump his leg while one of your hands tugs at his hair. You bite your lip and whimper as his lips move down over the swell of your chest.
He grabs your hips firmly and presses them down to the couch. His half-lidded eyes look up at you momentarily. “Quit squirming,” he breathes. He gives your chest a few more kisses while keeping his eyes locked with yours. “Need time with my pretty girl after I’ve been aching for her all day.”
You give a weak nod and focus on controlling your movements as he tugs your shorts off and drops them.
“Good girl,” he mutters before attaching his lips to one of your nipples and swirling his tongue around the peak. He hums in satisfaction as he feels the bud in his mouth. His fingers lazily stroke up and down your folds over your panties. He disconnects his mouth momentarily and looks up at you again with a smirk on his face.
“So wet already?” he teases, now being his turn to look smug, “You want me just as bad, don’t you? That’s why you send those pictures right? You’re missing Daddy while he’s at work?”
“Mhm, miss you so bad. It drives me crazy,” you say. A whimper escapes you as his fingers apply more pressure and his movements more strategically target your clit.
“I can tell. Makes you act like a little slut, huh?” he asks before he kisses down your stomach to the hem of your panties.
You feel your face getting hot at his comment, but you nod anyway. You bite your lip and keep your eyes locked with his.
He chuckles at your timid confirmation. “That’s ok, honey. Daddy’s here now. I’m gonna make sure you get all the attention you need. Can’t have my girl left wanting,” he says, pulling down your panties and putting them with your other discarded clothes.
He loops his arms around your thighs and pulls you closer so that you’re angled in a way he can reach you from his position on his knees. Your back is flat on the couch, and your legs are held over his shoulders. He doesn’t waste time, licking a stripe up your cunt and then delving his tongue inside of you.
Your head falls back onto the cushion in response. A moan escapes your throat at the sensation. Your sounds only increase in frequency and volume as he grips you tighter and fucks his tongue in and out of you. He watches you, relishing how he can pleasure you with so few touches. His tongue laps up your wetness and his mouth finds your clit again, sucking and flicking against the bundle of nerves just how you like.
His name and a variety of expletives leave your mouth while your hand slides into his hair and holds the blonde locks. Your hips twitch from the rising feelings of ecstasy in your tummy, but Leon’s hands keep you firmly in place. He devours you like a starved man, the hours of torture that little picture inflicted on him all paying off right now.
He’s skillfully swirling patterns onto your clit and occasionally exploring your insides. He knows you’re close because he can feel the way you’re pulsing and hear the way your moans and whines reach that slightly higher pitch. It only makes him work with more dedication.
“That’s right, sweetheart. C’mon, give it to Daddy. Let me taste it,” he grunts as he continues working you to the edge.
You cry out, your thighs quivering and your hips bucking as you succumb to release. You’re moaning with abandon, fingers clutching his hair as tight as possible. He groans into you from the sight in front of him.
You ride the high and he continues with his mouth throughout. When you reach the seeming conclusion, your chest is heaving and your limbs feel heavy, but Leon doesn’t stop. He continues on as if you were still on the way to your climax instead of coming down.
“Too much,” you whimper as your hips jerk and your hands make a weak attempt to push his head away, “Daddy, please.”
“Daddy, please?” he mocks with a laugh, “But this is what you wanted, babydoll. You wanted my attention, didn’t you?”
You whine, hips still squirming as your retort dies in your throat. It felt euphoric, it was just so much. This was what you wanted though.
“That’s what I thought,” he says before burying his face between your thighs again.
He continues eating you out until you’re an absolute mess. Your eyes are rolling back, nonstop whimpers fall from your lips, and your twitching thighs are clamped around Leon’s head. It was what he’d been wanting to see since he’d heard that chime in his back pocket.
“I’m gonna cum,” you slur. Your head felt cloudy from the numerous orgasms he’d brought you. A strangled cry tears through you as your body moves like it’s possessed. You convulse on the couch while his mouth makes you see stars for the umpteenth time.
Tears prick at your eyes from the intensity of your release, and finally, he starts easing off of you. He pulls your thighs off of his head and leans back. He wipes his chin that’s coated in your slick and licks his fingers. Seeing that alone has you clench around nothing which in turn spreads a smirk on his face.
“Good girl, baby,” he coos, planting a kiss on your inner thigh, “You did so well. I’m proud of you.”
He stands up from his knees, grunting as he gets to his feet and taking a moment to stretch. You can tell the extended amount of time in the position put some strain on him. Your lips curl into a small smile while adoration fills your hazy eyes.
“Your joints locking up on you, old man?” you tease with a quiet laugh.
“Don’t start,” he says, trying to sound stern, but you can see him suppressing his own smile, “Especially since I know you want more.”
That shuts you up because he’s right. He shakes his head and makes a mock sound of disappointment.
“I know you, baby. My dirty girl. Made you cum how many times, and you still want more,” he says. He begins stripping off his clothes into a pile next to yours. “My little whore would never turn down a chance to take my cock.”
Once his clothes are off, he languidly strokes himself a few times and climbs on top of you. He peppers some kisses on your face and starts to slide inside you. You were more than ready but still sensitive from the recent series of highs.
“Don’t worry, sweet girl. I’ll get you full of my cum in no time. Fuck all that neediness right out,” he murmurs into your ear, his breath on you sending chills down your spine.
You mewl and tighten around him in more ways than one. Your arms cling to his torso that hovers above you while your walls squeeze around him to take him deeper. He grunts and his head falls forward a little as he feels sparks of pleasure in his abdomen.
“There you go, angel. Taking me so perfect. My pretty girl. Made for me,” he says into your ear as he sinks into you completely.
You nod mindlessly, your head fogging up again as he fills you. He presses sloppy kisses to your neck as he starts pumping in and out. You’re both breathing heavily and allowing the pleasure to take over. One of your hands slides to his hair to rub his head while his hips snap against you.
He’s falling into the perfect rhythm with you, one that’s driving you both toward the goal line, when suddenly you hear a muffled guitar strum coming from the floor. Leon groans and you burst into laughter as you hear the ringtone you had set for him as a joke.
His movements get weaker as his focus is drawn elsewhere, but he doesn’t stop rocking his hips. He reaches down to the floor where his phone is ringing in the pocket of his crumpled pants. He fishes it out and shifts so he’s kneeling while drilling into you.
He holds the phone up and squints to read the tiny caller ID on the flip phone which makes you laugh harder through moans. He smirks at your laughter and clamps a hand over your mouth. “Shut up, I gotta take this,” he says teasingly.
He whips open the phone, the maneuver causing you to moan and squeeze around him again. He winces at the sensation, nearly unable to restrain himself from giving into his carnal urges to groan and slam into you harder.
Your eyes widen as he brings the phone to his ear without stopping his hips and in the most monotonous voice says “Kennedy here.”
It’s good that his hand is over your mouth to keep you quiet. The contrast of his movements and that voice have the sparks of pleasure igniting into flames in your belly. Seeing how he handles his dumbass flip phone so smoothly has your arousal nearly pooling on the couch.
He listens to the call while grinning at you struggling to keep yourself somewhat under control. “Uh-huh. Yeah. Sounds about right,” he drones as the person on the other end goes on and on.
His strokes are just as deep as before, nudging you in the perfect spots repeatedly. Your eyes roll back as you feel yourself getting near the peak. A soft whimper escapes you, loud enough to pierce the barrier of Leon’s hand. His hips sputter at the noise and his face contorts. He lets out a quiet grunt but quickly catches himself before losing it further.
“What? Yeah, I’m listening,” he says, his tone growing a little impatient, “Look, I’m just wrapped up in something right now. Could you not have just told me this before I left?”
You know he’s getting closer himself and struggling to hold back. You can tell from the way his jaw is clenched and his eyes are projecting his rising frustration he has for the person who made this call.
“Yes, I understand. I’ll deal with it tomorrow,” he says, effectively ending the conversation.
Then, to hang up, he doesn’t press a button. Instead, he flicks his wrist and shuts the flip phone with a clack.
You throw your head back against the couch cushion and a loud moan rips through your throat. You shudder as a wave of pleasure courses through you after witnessing something so unexplainably hot.
His eyebrows raise in amusement, noticing how much you enjoyed that. “Hmm, I’m not hearing any complaints about the phone now,” he says. He’s trying to tease, but his voice is husky with arousal. He maintains his grin as he drops the phone to the floor again and returns to his previous position which was closer to you.
“Careful, you’re gonna break it,” you whimper.
“Nah baby, I told you that thing is indestructible,” he breathes and starts pounding you into the couch mercilessly.
You bite your lip and resume clinging to him, your fingers digging into his back. You both are panting, expressions going lax as you focus on chasing the high.
“Daddy, ‘m gonna cum,” you mewl, unable to contain yourself for much longer.
“Go ahead, sweetheart,” he says into your ear, his voice taking on more of a growl, “Daddy’s right there with you. You deserve it for being so good for me. Being nice and quiet while I was on the phone.”
As soon as you have permission, you give into another release. Your legs shake and your arms cling to him tighter as the euphoria shoots through you. You’re gasping for air and whining while squirming beneath him. Soon it’s just too much for Leon. He tightens his grip on you and slams deep before groaning and draining himself inside of you.
He rocks in and out a few more times before slowly pulling out. He then sits up on the couch and sinks back into the cushions. You follow by sitting up as well and curling up against his side. He pulls you into his lap, stroking your hair away from your face and kissing your forehead. The two of you sit in comfortable silence for a while until he gazes down at you with a smug look in his eyes.
“I knew the flip phone was a turn-on,” he says, clearly pleased with himself.
You scoff. “It is not. It was just… it was the situation,” you defend.
“Sure, but you were tightest when I was messing with the phone,” he says knowingly.
“That doesn’t mean anything.”
He laughs at your stubbornness and gives you another kiss. “You can admit it, baby. I won’t judge. Really, if you like it that much, maybe I’ll show you how strong it can vibrate later.”

santa claus is comin' to town |janitor!eddie munson x teacher!reader|
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
prompt: oliver's first christmas with you and eddie, since the adoption, is off to a not so great start. luckily, eddie knows exactly how to make both your spirits bright <3
read the entire janitor!eddie and teacher!reader series here!
contains: parents eddie and reader. oliver is adopted by you and eddie. past talk of parent trauma and neglect. a little angsty, a lot fluffy <3
“Ollie, look,” You nodded, pulling the young boy’s attention to the center of the mall, right outside the food court, settled in mounds of fake snow and twinkling snowflake lights was Santa’s Village. Children of all ages jumped with excitement, giddy at the chance to tell the man at the end perched on a red velvet throne, what they desperately wanted for Christmas. Their parents handing over wads of cash for a photo, a framed memory they could cherish for years.
This was the first year you and Eddie would get the chance.
“Do you want to go see Santa?” You asked, grinning down at him with a smile so bright, it rivaled the lights around you.
Oliver didn’t match your excitement. Instead he looked over solemnly, head shaking in a sad bob that had your stomach plummeting. “No, ‘s okay.” Oliver shrugged.
You blinked, looking up at the lines. “It’s ok if you do.” You pressed gently, a soft smile to reassure him. He was still getting used to you and Eddie paying for everything, still skittish about it even after the judge made you his legal guardians. “I can go with you, if you want. I just want to make sure you tell Santa so he can get you what you want.”
Oliver shook his head again, bottom lip jutting gently, small enough to have your face dropping in worry. “No, it’s ok.” He shook his head. “Santa never comes to my house anyways. I don’t think he knows about me, or he forgets.”
“What do you mean, honey?” Your voice was strained with emotion, trying desperately to stay level, not to sound upset though your stomach was twisting in the most painful way.
Oliver looked up at you through long, dark lashes. “He never came to my house.” He muttered, a tiny huff of a sigh that made you want to sob. “I’d always send him the letters at school, but he never came.”
You felt every ounce of his disappointment, bore it heavy on your heart. Your throat constricted, unable to find the right words. What did you say to that? What could you say to make it better? You didn’t know, so instead you nodded, squeezing his hand gently, stopping for a cookie at the small corner kiosk and heading towards the music store Eddie was at. The once cheery, festive music felt mocking now, playing through the speakers.
Eddie stood by the counter, strumming the newly repaired string of his guitar to test it. His face lit up, excited to show you how they’d fixed it, how much better it sounded now with a proper tune up. Instead, his smile fell.
“Hey,” Eddie muttered, hand running over Oliver’s locks, ruffling them in an affectionate greeting that had him giggling. “What’s goin’ on?”
You didn’t meet his gaze, swallowing the burning bile that rose in the back of your throat, eyes downcast towards Oliver. “Hey, you alright?” Eddie muttered, his hand touching yours, calloused thumb gliding across your knuckles. “Somethin’ happen?”
“No,” He knew you were lying, your voice tight the way it was when something was wrong. “Did you get it fixed?”
“Yeah,” Eddie frowned, scanning your features carefully. “Are you sure-”
“-Can I go look at the CDs?” Oliver pointed towards the aisles of CDs, hand gently pulling yorus for attention.
You nodded. “Stay towards the front, ok? Where we can see you. If you can’t see us-”
“-Then you can’t see me.” Oliver grinned. “I will.” He chirped, giddily skipping over to the CDs. Somehow, his innocent happiness made your heart break more.
“Hey, look at me, baby.” Eddie muttered, knuckle brushing under your chin lightly, pulling your gaze into his. “What’s’a matter? What’s wrong?”
You pressed your lips together to stop the shake you felt coming. “I, uh, I asked Ollie if he wanted to see Santa. Tell him what he wanted for Christmas so we could get an idea for him.” Your gaze wandered to the small boy, on his tiptoes to flick through the CDs in the rock section- the ones he was starting to favor since listening with Eddie.
“He said,” You swallowed, voice quivering with emotions that you were trying your best to keep in. “He said Santa never visited him, Eddie. He thinks he forgets him every year.”
Eddie watched your face crumble, turning away to try and compose yourself. His own heart dropping. Rushes of his own childhood, the hope that maybe this year Santa would visit if he stole the Borden’s lights, threw them up on his roof instead so Santa could see. He even kept his light on so Santa would know he was home, but still, he never came.
Until he stayed with Wayne.
“Does he,” Eddie ducked, eyes cutting around the store. “He still, like, believes in him and all that?”
You paused, brows furrowing lightly. “Yeah, I mean, I think he does-”
“-I got it.” Eddie nodded, finality in his tone. “I got it, baby. Don’t worry.”
“Ed, wait, just-” You stopped him, eyes cutting to Oliver. “You can’t make him, ok? If he doesn’t want to, then we should respect that.”
“I’m not gonna make him, baby.” Eddie smiled softly. “I got it, ok. You trust me?” You nodded slowly. You did trust Eddie, in every way with everything.
“Then let me handle this, alright? Don’t worry about it.” Eddie pressed a soft kiss to your cheek, squeezing your hip lovingly, walking back to the counter to gather his guitar.
Tumblr media
“Hey, Ollie, gotta ask you somethin’, little guy.” Eddie hummed, strumming his guitar, tongue poked out in concentration.
Oliver was in front of him, mindlessly playing with his own action figures while Eddie practiced, flipping Spider-Man off the couch cushions and launching him over the coffee table with pure childlike imagination. “Yeah?”
Eddie watched him carefully, trying to play it cool, easy- not to scare the kid. “Mama told me something,” The beloved name you’d adorned before the papers went through. Eddie had christened you with it happily, grinning at the way it made you gleam when he’d call you it. “Said you didn’t want to see Santa.”
Oliver stopped, action figure hanging in midair, eyes wide like he’d been caught doing something wrong. “Yeah.” Oliver said quietly. Eddie knew he was trying to read his tone, see if he was mad or upset.
Eddie smiled at him softly, playfully throwing a hand out to him. “Dude, why?” He grinned. “You gotta tell the big man what you want for Christmas.”
Oliver’s head lowered, dragging the plastic feet of the superhero across the coffee table. “Santa doesn’t come to visit me.” He mumbled. “He never has.”
Eddie tried not to let his face falter. He knew it was coming, and it still hurt. Instead, he tried to remember what Wayne said, exactly how he’d said it and convinced him years ago when he was in Ollie’s shoes, hurt and disappointed.
“He didn’t?” Eddie cocked his head to the side. Oliver shook his head, face falling. “That’s weird.” Eddie quipped, lips twisting in thought. He could feel Oliver’s eyes on him curiously, he wanted to play it up for him. “You know, I bet you’re not registered.”
Oliver blinked. “Registered?”
“Yeah, your parents,” Eddie cringed at the mention. “You, uh, you have to register everyone to Santa. There’s a lot of kids in the world, and he can lose count sometimes. If you move or if you have more kids, anything, you gotta get them registered so he’ll know. Kinda like attendance, y’know?” It wasn’t nearly as smooth as when Wayne did it, much more rambling, but Oliver’s eyes lit up.
“You do?” Oliver asked, setting Spider-Man down completely.
“Oh, yeah.” Eddie nodded, setting his own guitar down on the stand. “I’ve been meaning to call anyways, make sure they were sending me a form down so I could let them know that you’re here now. Let me just call really quick.”
Oliver followed him, close on Eddie’s heels into the kitchen, where you were cutting carrots for the soup. “Hey, babe,” Eddie called, opening the junk drawer by the sink. “Have you seen the phone book?”
“The phone book?” You frowned, turning to look over your shoulder at them. “It should be under the coffee table.”
“No, the one for the North Pole.” Eddie muttered, eyes lifting to yours, shooting you a wide eyed look.
You paused, tracking his sharp side eyed glance to Oliver, who’s eyes were wide and hopeful, hanging on Eddie’s every word. “Oh,” You squeaked. “Um, I think I put it in the address book in my purse.”
Eddie fumbled through the contents of your bag, swiping the floral printed contact book with a sloppy grin. “Ah, found it.” He muttered, tongue poking out when he thumbed through the names and numbers.
“Can I see?” Oliver asked, rising on his tip-toes to look over the edge of the book.
“Hey, no way, c’mon.” Eddie shook his head. “Santa only gives it to parents. So we can call when you’ve been bad, or when we move and stuff. Can’t give it out or he’ll be mad.”
Oliver hesitated, scanning Eddie’s face carefully. He was a little suspect, but Eddie said it so confidently, it was hard not to be convinced- hell, you were convinced, listening with careful amusement from the kitchen.
Eddie pulled the phone off the hook, dialing the number with a covered hand, winking over at Oliver playfully. The line rang and rang and rang, until-
“Hello?”
“Hi, this is Eddie- sorry, Edward Munson.” Eddie said cheerfully into the phone, just like he would talking to a customer service rep. “I was needing to talk to someone about registering a new house to Santa’s route.”
There was a pause, the rustling of the line on the other end. “Eddie, what the fuck- are you high?” Dustin Henderson’s confused voice rang from the other end.
Eddie grinned, jaw clenching at annoyance he tried to hide. Thankfully, Oliver didn’t seem to notice, eyes shining with awe at the phone call. “Yeah, we were just needing to talk to someone about registering our house for Santa to stop at.” Eddie’s tone was clipped behind feigned cheerfulness. “We have Oliver living here now, and we wanted to get the form sent.”
“Eddie, what-” Dustin laughed on the other end. “Are you messing with me? You’re messing with me.”
“Yeah, just a second-” Eddie covered the phone, leaning towards Oliver. “Ollie, can you grab my wallet? By the bed?”
Oliver nodded, scampering down the hall. Eddie waited before turning, cradling the phone close to his mouth. “Henderson, play the fuck along, ok? I told Oliver I was calling the North Pole.”
Dustin laughed, a loud cackle of a laugh, full belly and entertained. “Why? What are you doing-”
“-Because Santa has never visited him.” Eddie hissed lowly, ceasing Dustin’s laughter. “And I am trying to get the registration form just to make sure we get added on Santa’s route, so Santa will be sure to visit us this year.” Eddie’s tone lifted, changing instantly back to that cheery tone he had before when Oliver ran in.
“Thanks, bud.” Eddie grinned, taking the wallet. “Just my license number?” He hummed, flicking it open.
“Eddie, I’m-I’m sorry, man. I thought you were messin’ with me-”
“-Yeah, it’s W23-016.” Eddie cut the other man off through gritted teeth. “And it’s Oliver Munson. He’s eight, and his new address is 172 Azalea Lane in Hawkins, Indiana.”
The line was silent. “What do you want me to do here, Eddie? Like pretend-”
“Yeah, if you can send the form here, that would be great.” Eddie fought back an eye roll. He should’ve called Steve. “And my wife wanted me to ask, can Oliver go see Santa now and tell him what he wants, or should he wait until after we mail the form back?”
“Uh, now? Is that what you want me to say? Dude, why didn’t you call me before so I could prepare-” Dustin huffed.
“Great. We’ll get that filled out, and we’ll go next weekend.” Eddie smiled over at Oliver, heart swelling with warmth over the irritation he felt. “Thanks so much for your help, Nog. Have a good one.”
“Oh, wow, use my ninth grade dwarf name. Real mature-” Eddie didn’t wait to hear the rest of Dustin’s whining, slapping the phone on the receiver.
Oliver was bouncing, practically exploding with anticipation and excitement. You thought your heart might burst at the sight. “They’re sending it over.” Eddie clapped his hands. “Told you it was easy, Ollie. They said you just have to sign something when it comes, and we can send it back off to the North Pole, and can go see Santa next week.”
“Wow,” Oliver beamed, smiling at you. “Thank you.” He muttered, barreling into Eddie’s side, squeezing his thighs in a tight, loving hug.
“You’re welcome, bud.” Eddie smiled, patting his head affectionately. “Can you go put my guitar back in the garage? In the case, please? Make sure to fasten it.”
Eddie waited until Oliver was running back into the living room to slide over to you. Your eyes shining with adoration, awe. “That was the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen, Ed.” You muttered, arms wrapping around his torso. “I don’t think I’ve ever been so in love with you in my whole life.”
“C’mon,” Eddie blushed, rocking you gently, a half stepped sway. “Not gonna let the kid have a bad Christmas.”
“How did- How did you even come up with that?” You blinked, chin resting against his chest. “That was genius.”
“Well, gotta give credit to Wayne.” Eddie shrugged. “He, uh, he did it first. When I came to live with him the first time after my mom passed. Dad hadn’t got me a gift since she died, too fucked up to remember the whole Santa thing. So Wayne told me it was because he forgot to register my house after we moved. I believed it. Made me feel better thinkin’ my dad just forgot to register the house, instead of forgettin’ me, y’know?” Eddie muttered, voice dropping lowly.
Your heart ached in the most uncomfortable way, squeezing him tighter into your chest. “It was sweet.” You whispered, arms circling around his waist, pressing a kiss to the soft fabric of his t-shirt, right over his heart. It made him flush with heat. “Thank you for that.”

“Baby, do you have construction paper?” Eddie asked, sliding into your classroom. It was still early, the sun just barely lifting into the grayed Indiana morning sky, frost still fogging at the windows.
“Um, in the cabinet in the red drawer.” You pointed to the arts and crafts area, neatly organized safety scissors and crayons tucked away. “What are you doing?”
“I got this idea last night. Ollie’s real excited-” Eddie paused, scanning the classroom for the little boy.
“He went down to the gym with Mrs. Bronski.” You waved it off lightly, passing out the morning activity papers to each of the spots. “Excited about what?”
“Excited about Santa this weekend.” Eddie muttered, flipping through the stack of construction paper, shimmying out a sheet of red and green. “Anyways, I got this idea about making the form. I found these letter stamps and ink pads in the art room, asked Lois if I could borrow them and she’s letting me. I think it’d be better printed like that so it look more legit, ya know?”
You beamed, smiling brightly under the fluorescent lights of the classroom, making Eddie’s heart skip. “Yeah, that’s- that’s really sweet, Ed.”
Eddie paused, shoulder’s tensing slightly, that familiar wide eyed, scared look creeping into his features. “You- It’s stupid, isn’t it?” He asked, voice tight. “I, fuck- sorry- I just, I dunno I thought it would be cool. Better than… It doesn’t matter. That was too much, I’m sorry, I just got excited-”
“Eddie, what?” You lifted a brow, tone steady and calm, like it always was when he’d spin out like this. “Ed, I think that’s a great idea. I think it’s really sweet, and I think Ollie will love it.”
Eddie scanned your features, looking for any reason not to believe you- a quirk in your lips, a blink that felt off, anything. “Are you sure? It’s not… too much?”
“You think I’d judge you for doing too much?” You tilt your head to the side playfully. “I’m jealous I didn’t think of it because it’s perfect, Eddie. All of it. You’re just,” Your breath hitched, heart fluttering at the sight of him. “You’re just a really good dad, and it makes me so inexplicably happy that I get to be with you. Watch you be a good dad, and a good husband, and just be with you. I’m so happy with you.”
Eddie blushed, cheeks reddening at your words. If you weren’t in school, the looming threat of HR surrounding you, he’d push you up against the poster board, make out with you right there.
“Thank you.” Eddie muttered instead, looking down at his work boots, cheeks burning with the praise. “I, uh, I- yeah, I feel the same way, y’know. About you, and you’re a good mom- the best mom.” You rolled your eyes bashfully, grabbing his hand, squeezing it softly.
“Hey, lovebirds,” Steve grinned, head ducking in your doorway. Eddie rolled his eyes, scoffing with exasperation. “Gotta go get the kids. Do you want me to walk yours up too?”
“No, I’ve got it.” You smile politely. “Thanks, Steve. I’ll be right there.”
Eddie was already reaching for your lanyard of keys, dropping them in your hand, pressing a sweet, parting kiss to your cheek quickly.
He worked tirelessly in his tiny janitor’s closet, pulling out a broken ruler to make sure it was lined correctly, taking breaks in between the lunch cleanup and fixing a ceiling light, until it was perfect.
Oliver was thrilled when Eddie came home, the bright red paper in his hand. “Guess what came in the mail today, Ollie?” Eddie sang in a silly tone, a grin so wide and dazzling it made you want to melt.
Oliver signed the dotted line with careful, slanted handwriting. You thought you were going to cry seeing him sign Oliver Munson beaming with pride at the last name that was all his now.
Eddie snuck it back into your bedroom after going to “mail the letter back”, neatly laying it in your bedside drawer. That night, the two of you lied in bed, looking over every careful detail of the paper, your own prized possession.
“How long did this take you?” You muttered, fingertip tracing over Oliver’s pen scrawled signature, lip trembling all over again.
“Not too long,” Eddie’s chest rumbled under you, lips pressed into your hair, holding you against him as close as possible. “Worst part was trying to make sure I didn’t miss a letter or something. I started on green but fucked up Santa. Spelled Satan, so had to start over.”
You laughed, a small, watery giggle that had Eddie’s grin on you tightening, an affectionate squeeze to your hip. “Yeah, that might have him confused.” You beam, head lolling back on Eddie’s shoulder to look up at him. “He was so excited though, I don’t think he would have cared.”
Eddie’s lips curled in a soft smile, hand moving to cradle the back of your head, pulling you in for a sweet kiss- the kind that left your head reeling with devotion, letting him press you back into the pillows, body sliding on top of yours.
“Wait,” You panted, tapping on his chest gently.
Eddie frowned, rolling off of you. “‘M sorry. I thought you wanted to-”
You placed the paper back in your bedside drawer, neatly tucking it under a book so it wouldn’t get crinkled. “I didn’t want it to rip.” You smiled softly, flicking off the lamp.
Eddie could see your eyes, glowing with that devious hint that had his heart jumping with excitement. You crawled over him, legs straddling either side of his hips, your hands in his hair this time, pressing him into the pillow, pinning him with a feverish kiss that left him reeling.

“Hey!”
Mmh…
“Hello?~”
Ima comfy…
“Prefect?”
Sleeeeeeep…
“...I’m going to pinch them.”
Hmm?
“Don’t be mean!”
“I’m gonna do it!”
“Don’t!”
*SMACK*
“OW!”
Turning over in your bed, something smacking into your arm as you blinked the sleep from your eyes. Looking over at the side of your bed, you saw a sprawled out Grim on the floor. Presumably what you smacked with your arm. Floating above him was one of the Ramshackle ghosts, looking both amused and concerned.
Your three undead companions were familiar faces who often enjoyed scaring you upon your arrival in the dorm. Though you were still fairly easy to spook with a surprise “boo!”, you were on quite friendly terms with Earnest, Albert, and Bernard.
“Albert, Bernard, whaddya letting him wake me up so early for… it’s still dark out!”
Whining, you turned onto your tummy, raising the sheets up and over your head.
Albert and Bernard, the former the smallest and the latter the largest of the trio, floated above you, the small ghost tugging at your sheets with a giggle.
“Wakey wakey! It’s time for breakie!”
Bernard similarly began tugging at your foot, which stuck out from under the covers, “Yeah! You told Grim and us to make sure you were bright n’ early today!”
Owwww henchman, that hurrrt! “What’s the big deal? You were the one that wanted to greet the dumb and dumber duo when they came back!” Nyeh, I can’t believe this is the thanks I get!
Bolting up from your bed and slamming face down as Bernard still held your leg, all your exhaustion left your body.
“Shit! I forgot!” Kicking your leg out of Bernard’s grasp, you scrambled to get up from your dirty (damn, when was the last time I cleaned up?) and begin your morning routine.
Ever since you hosted the training camp for the SDC, and thus fell under the strict eye of Vil in the name of your skincare, you’ve maintained a simple but healthy routine after he provided everyone with his brand of skincare products.
A few weeks after the performance, you grew nervous as your supply dwindled down, and Vil’s incessant need for beauty and perfection among his little spudlings (you still had no clue how you got roped in with Epel in that regard) had grown following the commotion between Idia and he other housewardens at S.T.Y.X.
It was then that small, intricately wrapped packages began appearing on your doorstep every month with that very same brand and product.
Dutifully, you followed the 15 step-by-step routine he had laid out for you, if just to avoid his wrath.
Somehow, I’d bet he’d figure out I’m skipping out his routine, even at his internship.
The next hour flew breezed as you finished getting presentable. Grim entertained himself with your phone, presumably scrolling through Magicam.
“Are you putting on makeup?”
You let out a small shriek, more surprised than frightened, jumping as you looked at Earnest floating right next to where you were standing.
“Hehe, fancy new power and we can still spook ya!” He cackled gleefully, twirling himself upside down in the air.
You huffed, rolling your eyes. “It’s not like it works on you guys, probably because you're dead.”
“We’re dead!?” Albert cried in mock horror, poking his head through the wall of the bathroom while you cleaned up. “Why didn’t you tell us!?!?”
“Dummy!” Bernard phased through as well, hovering above Albert as he whacked his hat off (“Hey, that’s my good hat!”). “We’ve been dead for 840 years!”
“Oh yeah, I forgot!”
Giggling, the three ghosts followed you back to your bedroom, where Grim was still scrolling through the Magicam feed.
“Hey Henchman, do you think we’ll get new students in the dorm this year?”
“Hmm? Probably not.” You sighed as you looked through your closet for your most recently purchased uniform, trying to decide between a skirt or pants for the day. “Doesn’t the mirror assign us by the color of our soul, or whatever?”
Grim handed you your phone as you decided on the pleated uniform skirt with long striped socks that matched your tie. “The mirror couldn’t read my soul before without magic, plus I don’t think incoming students are exactly looking to be placed in a dorm called ‘Ramshackle’ anyways.”
Grabbing his own striped ribbon for you to tie into his usual bow, Grim’s voice entered your mind.
I told you! We should’ve renamed it the Dazzling Dapper Dorm! “If those incoming freshies can’t appreciate our greatness, then they don’t deserve a spot anyways, harumph!”
“Oh, of course Grim!” You giggled as you adjusted the bow, arranging the gem on his collar to set neatly between the loops. “I wouldn’t want to share this space with anyone other than you anyways!”
Nyah! Exactly…purrrrr~
Scratching under your feline friend’s chin, you noticed Bernard and Albert “hiding” (you guys’ see through bodies don’t really help, huh?) boxes behind them, while Earnest held your old ghost camera at the ready.
“... Yes?”
Giggling, Bernard floated up to you and Albert to Grim. “Revealing” the boxes behind their translucent bodies, you noticed that they were nicely wrapped in a light and dark gray striped box.
They look a bit like the couches, cute.
“Open them!” Bernard grinned wider, handing you the larger box while Grim got the smaller one from Albert. “We got them especially for you two, hehe.”
Squinting your eyes at the ghosts, you smiled and took your gift. You tried to focus on any semblance of their thoughts that might hint at what the gift was. It didn't work, of course, since you'd discovered during your summer here that ghosts were an exception to your telepathy.
Ha? Why is henchman’s bigger than mine?! Grim’s thoughts still came loud and clear. You weren’t sure why ghosts’ thoughts were an exception, but it was nice to be surprised, since gaining your powers prevented anyone from hiding anything from you
Though, other times, reading other’s minds was actually quite helpful.
Like when Mrs. Spade, such a high-spirited and pretty lady really, immediately flooded your head with thoughts of excitement of meeting her son’s new “partners”.
She heard of you and Ace and your misadventures with Deuce, and was immediately smitten with the idea of her son with a cute duo that smothered her boy with affection as much as they got him in trouble.
If you remembered correctly, she specifically thought: Wahhh! What a couple of cuties!! I didn’t know my little boy was so popular with such pretty people! I’m gonna have the cutest grandkids between these three!!! I’ve got to make sure I set them up together!
It took you hastily whispering to Deuce about her sweet, but frankly embarrassing thoughts to have him explain more thoroughly how your friend group worked. Though disappointed, she wasn’t completely convinced, but let you three be.
Since you couldn’t hear the ghosts, however, you couldn’t whisper to any friend to make preparations for overexcited mothers or pranking ghosts. Instead, you opened your present with mild caution.
“Oh!” You exclaimed excitedly, removing the cream white vest and ribbon from its box. You noticed that attached to the ribbon was an emblem of a shield crest. A tattered ribbon on the bottom that curled along the edges of the shield displayed the words ‘Ramshackle’ on it. In the middle, there was a crystal ball with the familiar face of a cat with glowing eyes, its flaming ears appearing like a vision in the ball. At the top center of the crest you recognized a three-pronged trident at the top, reminiscent of Grim’s tail.
“Is this what I think it is?” You squealed, briefly removing your blazer to slip on the vest, then slipping the ribbon on your left arm, admiring yourself in the mirror. “I look so cool! Like an official student! What about you Grim?”
Grim grabbed your phone and brought it over to you. Propping it up to face himself, he preened over his reflection. Though the ribbon shorter and the emblem smaller, his own dorm ribbon looked as new and impressive as yours.
“I think you should send a picture to the others!” I really look like a mage now! “I bet they’re gonna be fawning all over the Great Grim, cause I look mighty!”
Chuckling at the silly poses he made, you obliged as you took out Magicam. While he continued his little poses, you took a quick mirror selfie, holding a peace sign before sending it over to the group chat you held with the other (now) second-years. Immediately, Deuce and Epel replied with phrases of affirmation and praise for your new uniform, while the other three liked your photo.
“Aw, why do that when I’ve been taking pictures over here like crazy!” Earnest whined, the flash still going off as he continued to take pictures of you two.
“Ah sorry, sorry.” You picked up Grim (“MEH?!”) and motioned over the ghostly trio to you. “Let's all take a picture together!”
Earnest eagerly took a picture of the five of you, beaming smiles and all. As he and the other two ghosts crowded over the camera to take a look at the selfie, Albert spoke up.
“We also got you two of you your own dorm uniform! You can thank the old ghost bride, Mrs. Eliza, for sending some of her old wedding attire! We added some additions to make it more you, but still kept the ghost flair.”
Winking, Albert continued, “We think you’ll like it! You’re truly a part of this dorm, and this school, so it’s time to dress like it!”
Speechless, you and Grim looked up at your companions in disbelief. Tears started to flood your eyes as you smiled.
“Guys…thank you this is so sweet.” You wiped the corners of your eyes and fanned them, to keep the tears from streaking your makeup. “Where’d you even get all the materials, or the okay from Crowley to make this?”
Snickering amongst themselves, Bernard waved you off and straightened your tie. “We spectral spookies have been here long enough that he can’t tell us what not or not to do!”
“Yeah!” Earnest continued snapping pictures, undoubtedly running it out of film. “We don’t work anywhere on the school grounds like the other ghosts, so he can’t tell us what to do. Anyways, you should head out! The first few students should be arriving at the Dark Mirror here soon.”
Nodding your head, you grabbed your phone and Grim, placing him on your shoulders. Eee! I’m tall again! Once he settled, you waved goodbye to the ghosts as you left your room.
“We’ll be back later!” You hopped from the second to last stair into the lobby, giddy to see your friends again and ready to start a new school year in your new home.
The walk to the Hall of Mirrors wasn’t long, but it did give you some time to contemplate your time at the school. A year ago, you wouldn’t have imagined yourself being here, let alone staying.
Yet, your time here has been delightful as it has been stressful. Even with the blots, you’ve made friends and a family here. The thought of having to leave through the mirror was more distressing now than it would’ve been before.
Speaking of mirrors, you arrived at the Hall of Mirrors. Entering the building, you waved at the Headmage, who was busy organizing the check-in procedures before the first students arrived.
“Ah! Prefect!” Crowley waved back, delighted to see you. “Perfect timing, I need you to take charge of check-in for the students! I am busy with…my own matters, I’m sure you understand!”
He handed over a few items from the table set up a few feet at the entrance of the hall, which faced the Dark Mirror.
It wouldn’t be Crowley if he didn’t make you work and take attendance for each time a student arrived through the mirror.
You took the clipboard, pen, and an inch thick stack of papers containing each students’ names, picture, dorm, year and class number.
Resolving yourself to the task, you nodded with exasperation. “Of course, Headmage. Happy to help.”
It’s nice to see them so delightfully acclimated to the school! At least he seemed to approve of your new and improved school uniform. And I still get my free school admin for another year! Classic headmage.
“Wonderful!” he clapped his hands in delight, pushing you to the table. “We have a few students arriving at any moment, so do your best, lest we have to make some budget changes to your food allowance~”
Leaving in a flourish, you sighed and clicked your pen. Readying the barrage of students that would eventually arrive.
Surprisingly, it was much more calm than you would expect from NRC, the students more preoccupied with claiming the best bedroom, rather than causing a ruckus.
So far, you’ve only checked in the sophomores and juniors of Pomefiore and Heartslabyul, as the lineup started with the oldest dorms, down to the youngest.
Let’s see, first Pomefiore, then Heartslabyul, Diasomnia, Octavinelle, Scarabia, Savanaclaw, and last is Ignihyde. I should be seeing Epel soon then?
“Hello, do I check in with you?” It’s really the Prefect…
Looking up you saw a tall, slim built man with near black, dark purple hair tied down into a high ponytail with a few features framing his tan face. He was incredibly beautiful, his purple eyeshadow and lipstick suiting him. You recognized him as one of the Pomefiore students that would come to collect Epel on the many occasions that he’d wander to your dorm seeking refuge from Vil.
“Yes! Can I get your name and student number?” you smiled, to which he politely returned
“Of course.” He looked you up and down with dark brown eyes. What a cute outfit, are those thighhighs? “Yev Quispe, 2-C18.” You’re just begging for someone to eat you up, aren’t you?
Smile faltering and turning uncomfortably red, you ignored his thoughts and flipped through your papers, finding his name. He’s one of the new housewardens?
“So you’re the one Vil appointed! Congrats!” you checked his name off your list while Grim handed Yev the keys to his dorm room. “I’m sure you know, but as a housewarden, please ensure that your dorm is ready to receive the freshman at the end of the week!”
Pretty bold of you to tell me what to do when you’ve only had magic for a few months. Smiling politely, Yev nodded. “Of course my dear, I will have my vice pick up the last of the- ack!”
W-what the!
Suddenly lurching forward, Yev, gasped as the arm of a short, white-haired rabbit beastman yanked him down to their height. Quite the contrast to Yev, this student was extremely pale with wide, bright red eyes and freckles all over his face down to his neck.
“Hiya Y/N! Check me in won’t you?” He smiled, a familiar face finally! Prefect! They look good! “Timothy O’Hare 3-D19! Say why didn’t you visit me at the same time you saw Ace and Deucey~”
Holding on tight despite Yev’s struggle to remove his arm, Timmy pouted at you, looking away as he held his other hand to his eyes and faked cried. It’s been too long!
“I wanna hangout with you too ya know!” Now that’s no fair—stop struggling Yev. “I’m a good boy~ Also, I’m here to pick up the froshies’ stuff before Riddle’s here, so fork it up!” I can’t be late!
“Nice to see you too, Timmy. Sorry, I only had the weekend to visit so I couldn’t go out much.” You handed him his keys, giggling once Yev managed to knock his arm off. “We can hang out more this year, I got bumped up for some third year classes, so we might see each other more!”
Surprise and delight entered Timmy’s features, who opened his mouth before he got interrupted.
“Oi! Hurry it up, we have a line building up here!” Another student spoke up behind him, while the ever-growing line of boys started to murmur.
I gotta get the better bed first, I don’t want one next to the vent again.
I wonder if Sam’s store is open right now? Once I check in I’ll go see.
Oh dear, I wonder if they’re the only one doing check-ins right now?
Noticing the frustrated thoughts growing, you waved Timmy off, Yev already making it way to his dorm mirror. “Let’s talk later! I gotta get these guys going, tell Riddle to invite me to the next tea party!”
Once Timmy left, it was fairly smooth sailing as you continued to check in students. Most of them were students you recognized from Heartslabyul unbirthday parties. You’d even had a few classes with some of the Pomefiore students, though you’d never heard their thoughts before.
I can’t believe they stayed, they shouldn't have even been here.
Why are they wearing that? They don’t even have an actual dorm, let alone colors!
They look nice~ No wonder those two idiots want to keep them for themselves.
The longer you kept working, the more your smile dropped, looking rather uncomfortable. Though there were some nice thoughts, many being happy to see you, it was hard when you could practically feel the crude, spinecrawling thoughts of the more unsavory students.
You brightened when Epel had eventually shown, but he left as soon as he came, claiming that he needed to “git in the good dangone bedroom” before it was snatched, leaving you alone with the rest of the school.
Afterwhile, the students were becoming more preoccupied with claiming their rooms rather than focusing on your presence. This was when you were particularly grateful for your telepathy, as the minds of young adult men in college were just as funny.
Sometimes you could see what a person was talking about, rather than hear it. The current student in front of you, a Pomefiore senior, was thinking about a breakdancing cat. It was also crying.
The next student was singing a song in his head while visualizing what you presumed to be the  music video, with him as the lead singer.
Never gonna give you up~ Never gonna let you down~ Never gonna run around and desert you~
You snorted, and covered it with a cough, at him as he grabbed his keys and continued to star in his imaginary music video.
You suddenly heard some loud voices fighting amongst themselves, turning more rowdy as you’re favorite ginger’s voice yelled out:
“Let me through! We get to skip the line.”
Another student angrily responded, “What! Why? We've been waiting for 15 minutes already! You just got here!”
“Special privileges as the esteemed Prefect’s favorite classmates!”
“Ace!” You heard Deuce hiss, sounding as exasperated as you felt, “Wait in line like everyone else!”
Shouting out and waving his hands, Ace smiled “Hey Prefect-”
“No!” You shouted back, the room suddenly silent as the two of you held each other’s glares.
“But-”
“No.”
“Prefect-”
“No.”
“But I don’t wanna-”
“Noooooooooo!”
Ace pouted as you pointed your hand to the back of the line. Damn, I thought you loved me Prefect.
“Back to the line Ace! I’m not letting you shenan-once, just so you can shenanigan!”
DAMN! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!
Laughter bursted out as he dejectedly followed Deuce to the end of the line, the check in resuming as normal until the two met you at the front.
Y/N! You look nice in your dorm colors! “Ace, don’t they look nice in their new uniform?” Deuce gave you a particularly tight hug, while Ace squeezed in and nuzzled his cheek into Grim’s, who claimed that “this is harassment!”.
Despite his earlier embarrassment, Ace was more than happy to tease you as a small act of revenge.
“Heyy~ Prefect, look at you~” You tryin’ to get a boyfriend? “Wow I can’t believe you dressed up all for me! Unfortunately, I’m not into your type, sorry!” That’s illegal, you have to be lonely forever just like me.
You stuck your tongue out at Ace as he squeezed your cheeks, doing the same to you.
“Ace, leave them alone!” Deuce rolled his eyes, huffing at both of your behaviors. Why are you both like this? “Have you been working all day for check in?” You should take a break soon.
You shrugged, “Yeah, but I’ll be taking a break soon anyways. I’m sure one of the ghost staff can take over.”
Ace frowned as you signed both he and Deuce in the sheet, “That kinda sucks.” Glad I’m not stuck here.
“Oh!” Deuce held his fist in his hand as he suddenly became animated, a mannerism he still had to break. I know! “What if we help you out? We can drop off our stuff and come back, I’m sure the housewarden wouldn’t mind us helping since it’s just move-in day for the rest of us.”
Noooooooo, I wanna nap! Ace whined, “Don’t say we, I didn’t volunteer.” Prefect, say no thanks!
“Sure!” You chirped, smiling cheekily at a pouting Ace. “I’d love that! Just come right back and I’ll take a lunch. We can then finish check-in way faster with four of us!”
Deuce nodded as he took his and Ace’s room keys, who was still whining about “having to work right away!” You waved as they left through their dorm mirror, turning back to the task at hand. You noted that several students’ thoughts were growing increasingly frustrated with the long line, so you focused on getting your line down before the rowdy Savanaclaw students arrived.
As the last of the Heartslabyul students were checking in, a mix of Diasomnia and Octavinelle students began arriving.
A handful of the former had begun checking in, you noticed that Sebek and Silver were the first of their dorm to arrive. Giving a small wave, you smiled at them as the two sophomores, one of Heartslabyul and the other Pomefiore, when a very loud, almost migraine inducing thought AND shout emerged from the crowd.
“SHRIMPYYYY~” The two students suddenly shoved out of the way as a pair of large, pale hands slammed themselves down on the desk SHRIMPYYYY~
You cringed at the volume of his voice and thoughts, looking up at the sharp-toothed grin of one of the most infamous students at Night Raven College.
“Hi Floyd, you cut the line you know-”
“Shrimpyyy” he whined, slumping over the desk and looking up at you with his droopy eyes. “Don’t tell me off, aren’t you excited to see me? I’m very excited to see you~”
Hehe, so small~
He grinned and reached for your sides with grabby hands, “I’ve been waiting to give the cutest little shrimpy a good squeeeeeeeze~” Let me at you!
You squeaked as he grabbed you by your waist and held you up like a parent holding a toddler. Suddenly, your vision blurred and dizzy.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!”
“AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
Gripping onto his shoulders, you clutched your arms around him, willing yourself to not throw up.
“FLOYD, PLEASE, I’M GONNA PUKE!”
Slowing down, still giggling, he set you down on your wobbly feet. “Eeeeeh? You’re fine Shrimpy!”
Hehe, look at them wobble like they're fresh on land! So cuteeee~
“Floyd! You can’t just cut the line!” approaching sternly, exasperated, Azul impatiently tapped his foot. I don’t know what else I’d expect, honestly.
Holding on the end of the table, where Grim was still checking in (working for once), you gave Azul a small wave.
“Hi Azul, how’s it going? Gimme a sec, everything is still dizzy…”
Poor little thing. Azul smiled politely at you, “Hello Prefect, it’s nice to see you again, I must say it’s nice to see you acclimating so well to the school culture!”
It’s unfortunate, I won’t ever get Ramshackle at this rate.
“Ha, thanks Azul, uh I’m gonna have to ask you both to head to the back of the line to check in.” You smiled apologetically, gesturing to the back.
“Oh of course! It wouldn’t be fair to-”
“Nah, I don’t wannaaa!” Floyd whined, draping his arm and weight over Azul who buckled slightly under him, “Jade, you don’t wanna wait either, right?”
Looking behind Floyd and Azul, you saw the other Leech twin approach, his usual polite smile on his face.
“Now now Floyd, let’s not make the Prefect’s job harder than it needs to be.” He replied, soft-spoken, with his hand up to his chest, “I’m sure they’d like to make an exception if they could, isn’t that right Prefect?”
Smiling in relief, you opened your mouth to reply when Jade’s thoughts floated through, crystal clear with no room for doubt, in your mind.
Little pearl, I missed you! Did you dress up just for me~ Look at you, pretty little two-legs. Oooooh~ I’d like to flip that skirt up and bend you over-
You saw a mental image of you, bent over the table with Jade over you, skirt lifting up as his hands slid from your legs up to your-
*CRASH*
Pain shot up your wrist, your head throbbing, looking up at the Grim from the floor. In your shock from the unexpectedly lewd thoughts from the usually polite and formal Jade, your hand had slipped from the table you’d been leaning on, banging your head on the edge and falling on your wrist.
“Henchman!” Grim cried out, jumping from the table to look at you as the trio looked over you with concern. You locked eyes with Jade and froze, physically feeling the red flush from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.
“Oh my, Prefect, are you alright?” Look how red they are, how cute~ Are you embarrassed? Don’t worry my pearl, you’re cute when clumsy. Why didn’t you fall onto me? I would’ve caught you.
Jade held a hand out to you, his smile betraying nothing. “Here, let me help you up.”
I’ll take you to the nurse! Then I’ll heal you up, you’ll be so grateful~ You’ll give me a kiss then, won’t you?
Another scene, this time of you in an infirmary bed, Jade hovering over you as you looked into each other’s eyes longingly.
“Oh Jade, you’ve been taking such good care of me. I don’t know how to thank you!” “Dear Pearl, it’s my pleasure to care for someone as lovely as you. But, there is no need to thank me.” “I need to Jade! Maybe—” You unbutton your blouse, blushing as you looked up at Jade shyly. “—I can thank you… with my body…”
You bolted up, surprising Jade and the others near you, and shrieked at the top of your lungs. “NOTHANKYOUIMFINETHANKSFORASKING!”
Everyone nearby looked at you in shock, Grim included, as Ace and Deuce entered the mirror chamber. Approaching you, they looked at the small crowd that had gathered, confused.
“Hey Prefect, we came to help.” Deuce looked between you and Jade nervously, “Is everything alright-”
“YES! Everything is fine, I just need a break!!” shoving the clipboard you’d been using into Ace’s hand, you rushed out of the Hall of Mirrors.
Oof! Hey!
Huh?! Prefect?
“Okay thanks, I’mheadingoutnowbye!!!!” Flying out of the room fast enough to have Coach Vargas begging to have you in the track and field club, you made it to your dorm in mere minutes.
Slamming the front door behind you, you slid down to the floor. Cradling your burning face, Jade’s words played on repeat like a scratched CD.
Little pearl~
Pretty two-legs.
You’re cute when you’re clumsy.
I’d like to flip that skirt up and bend you over-
“Oh my god, oh my god, ohmygodmygodgodgod-” you shrieked into your hands. You’d brushed off crude comments from the other students, and even enjoyed the sexual jokes Ace would make in his head at your expense, bantering back with him.
But hearing something so risqué and just straight-up raunchy from Jade Leech. A polite, albeit unsettling man. All your conversations had either been formal, patronizing, even outright mean during your first interactions with the contract fiasco.
“I’d never even- I can’t believe-” you curled into a ball. “When? How? WHY???”
You sobbed. Were you shocked? Yes. A bit horrified? More than a bit. Embarrassed? You were hyperventilating in the fetal position after turning a 20-minute walk into a 5-minute sprint to your dorm, so take from that what you will.
How am I supposed to speak to him now? I don’t even like him, he’s scary! Oh my god, did he have these thoughts before? Are they always so-so-so explicit? He said he wanted to bend me-Oh my GOOOOOOOOOD!
The floor became the victim to your muffled screams and sobs. You failed to notice Earnest floating past the hall to the living room.
Upon seeing your sobbing, shaking form, he turned back the way he came. “Nope!”
You eventually calmed down, turning over to stare at the ceiling, the clock in the kitchen showed that it was half-past one. You’d been sobbing on the floor for roughly an hour.
Groaning, you took your phone from your pocket. “Oooooooh crap, Grim and the others are probably wondering where the hell I am.” True to your word, you had well over 20 missed messages and even a few calls from your friends on both Magicam and Twister.
@traaaaaaaaapola: ayo?? wya dont leave me alone w juice
@deuce♠️: are u ok did something happen?
@traaaaaaaaapola: bitch come back im nah getting paid for this
@JackHowl: Hey, I heard you hurt yourself earlier, are you okay?
@vilmademechangethis: deuce said you ran off u ok???
@deuce♠️: its been a while, are you okay?
@traaaaaaaaapola: i didnt mean to call you a bitch come back ily
@traaaaaaaaapola: bae pls ur loml come back riddle is yelling at us for not being at the dorm
@deuce♠️: Y/N?????
@traaaaaaaaapola: me and juice are coming to the dorm to check on you
@leechj: I hope you’re okay, Prefect. Let me know if you’re in need of assistance, I’m more than happy to provide. :)
You stared at the last message, contemplating on whether you’d resume your fetal position or instead launch yourself off the roof. Super healthy response to learning that someone likes you.
Like is putting it lightly. There’s no way those are normal thoughts for someone with a crush. God, who actually thinks things like that! It’s like a boy entering puberty and finding porn for the first time. Groooooooss!
Someone knocked at the front door you’d been leaning at, and Deuce called out. “Y/N? It’s us, we brought you snacks, can you let us in please?”
We know you can hear us, please Y/N.
I’m not even mad anymore! I got to be incharge of everyone. It was nice.
Slowly, you stood, groaning from your stiff back, and opened the door. You peaked out to look at the two, and a sleeping Grim in Ace’s arms. Noting the lack of any others, you opened the door wider and gestured to them.
Stepping in, both boys looked at you softly, Ace pointing to your face.
“You, uh, been crying?”
You wiped at your face, your fingers smudged with black eyeliner.
“...A lil bit.”
What happened? Deuce placed a bag from you presumed Sam’s shop on the ground and peered closer to your face. “Everyone said you fell and hurt yourself on the table. Is that all?”
Shifting uncomfortably, you nodded your head.
Did someone hurt you? Ace came back from the living room, where he’d placed Grim on the couch.
“Nuh-uh” you hummed.
All three of you stood in uncomfortable silence, the other two waiting for you to explain further. But you remained quiet, refusing to meet their eyes.
Until Ace opened his mouth, trying to deflate the situation “What did you hear someone’s dirty thoughts or something-”
“Yes.”
“...What”
“Yes. I heard dirty thoughts.”
“O-oh.” Deuce stuttered. “That’s all-”
“I heard Jade’s dirty thoughts.”
Both stiffen.
“I heard Jade’s dirty thoughts about bending me over-”
“What” Ace choked.
“— And flipping my skirt over-” Deuce made a sputtering noise.
“— I think he must be an exhibitionist cause i think he wanted to fuc-”
Both rushed over to smack their hands over your mouth, effectively cutting off your rambling. Deuce was burning a deep red that would rival Riddle’s hair, while Ace held a poker face.
“........”
“.............”
“........................”
“Pffft-AHAHAHAHAAAAA!” Ace bursted out laughing, falling to the ground in hysterics.
“NO WAY! JADE LEECH?!” He pounded his fist on the floor, heaving for air between laughs.
You started pounding on his back as Ace turned over and held his arms up in defense. “Don’t laugh! Do you know how embarrassing it was to hear that? How would you-STOP LAUGHING!!”
You started pulling at the ginger’s hair, who was still giggling as he held onto your hands to keep you from scalping him.
“Ace! Stop laughing, they’re obviously embarrassed.” Deuce sighed, still red, looking as if he’d age 30 years suddenly.
Was that all?
Your head snapped to glare at him. “What do you mean ‘was that all?” HOW’D YOU FEEL IF SOMEONE WAS TALKING ABOUT FUCKING YOU IN FRONT OF EVERYONE?!”
Embarrassment fueling your rage, you got up to hit Deuce. Honor student be damned, his delinquent past made an appearance as he grabbed your hands and twisted them so that he pressed them against your back.
“IT WASN’T EVEN JUST THOUGHTS, I SAW THINGS TOO!”
Sighing, Deuce let you struggle in his grasp until you froze as Ace spoke up.
“He didn’t actually say anything though? It was thoughts, which might I remind you, are supposed to be private.”
Shrugging out of Deuce’s hold, you pouted as Ace continued.
“Telepathy isn’t something that’s heard of, even here.” He reached into the bag the other had brought with you and threw you a bottle of your favorite drink while he opened his own bottle of soda.
Deuce hummed in agreement, “Yeah, I mean you can’t fault someone for thinking stuff. Especially since no one else really knows about your, uh, thing.”
You sighed, sipping your beverage.
“...I guess. It’s still weird though. Other’s make little comments here or there, but they’re always short, something I can ignore as typical college guys and their rudeness. But this?”
Both winced a bit, understanding why you were at the very least uncomfortable.
Yeah…
We get it…
“Look, it’s not like you have to be cool with it, but-” Ace threw an arm over your shoulder. “-you’d better get used to it, Jade’s definitely not the only one you’re gonna be hearing things from.”
Lots of the students here find you pretty hot you know~
“Huh.” You deadpan at him, mouth agape.
“What? I thought you knew, lots of the students talked about you and how cute you are.”
Ace smacked his hand into Deuce’s chest. “Right Deuce?”
Grunting and smacking Ace back, he nodded. “Yeah, we thought you knew Prefect, lot’s of the others in our classes would talk about you, especially after dealing with the first overblot.”
You’re awfully pretty Y/N, didn’t you know?
“You better get used to it then.” Ace dragged you over to the dorm kitchen to sit.
“Not just in general, but with Jade too. Didn’t you say you had the third-year potions class before we left for break?”
You might end up seeing him more often, and hearing him more often too.
You furrowed your eyebrows at that comment, waving him off.
“It’s just the potions class, there’s like five different classblocks.” You huffed, resting your head on the cool table. “I’m sure I’ll be fine. We hardly interacted in the shared freshman/sophomore classes.”
You took a long sigh and ignored the two men’s shared glance.
It’s a big school, and I hardly visited the Monstro Lounge anyways. I bet I’ll be able to count our interactions on one hand by the end of the year!
Tumblr media
It was a few days before the opening ceremony, you and Grim decided to split up and see where your classes would be. Since you had little expectations for new Ramshackle students, you two were able to be a bit more leisurely during preparations.
You’d sent Grim to scout out the morning classes, while you wandered the hall for the afternoon ones, seeing as a few of them were advanced classes with the juniors.
That was alright though, you weren’t just the magicless human now. You were the Ramshackle Prefect, now a semi-capable mage with a surprising affinity for potionology, even before.
Potionology was actually quite enjoyable, as you’d discover it wasn’t magic dependent. Rather, it reminded you of cooking back in your home world, following simple instructions and measurements.
At least, the type of cooking could actually follow, you shuddered at having to follow the instructions your mother would give: “take a little bit and then watch it and once it looks good add a bunch of this—pay attention! Put that one over there in the pot!”
Yeah, Crewel is a saint compared to cooking with mom.
You continued your relaxed pace, looking down at your copy of the schedule. You’d notice that the classes that had required little to no magic last year: potionology, history, musicology, and even magic analysis, were quite easy for you since it focused on the theory of magic.
Looking up at the classroom numbers, you looked for class 3-H for your next class. You noted that following lunch, you had Ancient History, followed with Advanced Magical Potions as your last class of the day.
Ah, it looks like me and Grim got placed into the afternoon Magical Potions class. Thanks to my hard work last year, I got us to take the advanced class with the juniors, so I might ask-
“Why, hello Prefect.”
You froze, turning to the 6’2” man towards you from down the hall.
There you are my pearl. “I was worried about your incident during check in, tell me did you make it home alright?” I missed the opportunity to care for you~
“Ah, Jade.” You shuffled nervously and smiled politely at him.
He’s thinking sorta normal thoughts, so that’s good.
“I’m alright, there’s no need to worry about me. If you don’t mind me asking, what are you doing exploring the halls? You need to prep your dorm for the freshman, right?”
So sweet, are you curious about me? Cutecutecutecutecute-
“Why yes, but I figured that I’d see where my classes would be at and prepare the most efficient route. Are you doing the same?”
You nodded, relaxing a bit. “Yes, I’m looking for my afternoon classes, a bunch of them are the advance classes for juniors, so I’m trying to figure out where they are.”
Showing Jade the class schedule in your hand, you pointed to the potions class.
“I was looking for class 3-H for my potionology class, you wouldn’t happen to know where it is?”
Ah… YES!
Slightly jumping, you noticed that Jade’s smile grew ever so slightly. One would think he was just being nice, but you knew better.
“Why yes,” Thank the Sea Witch!! “I happen to have that very same class with you, just down the hall.” Same class with Y/N!
Wait what.
“O-oh, what a…nice surprise!” you stammered out, forcing a smile back.
A VERY nice surprise, I’m delighted that you agree.
“Indeed. I look forward to seeing you every day this year, Prefect.”
Hopefully we’ll be seatmates, and I’ll have the chance to gaze upon your sweet face every single day! Those soft eyes, sweet lips, oh I wonder do you taste as delicious as you look?
A vision of you and Jade again. This time, he was pressing you up against the wall of the hallway. This version of Jade pressed open-mouthed kisses against your neck, hands guiding your legs and arms to wrap around him.
Soft lips and sharp teeth pressed into the crook of your neck, as you let out a heady moan.  “Jaaaaaaade~” you gasped, pressing your own kisses unto his temple.  He hummed, licking up the blood from the bite he left. “Fuhuhu~ I was right my darling, you’re sweet enough for me to eat up.”
You could feel the sweat drop from your temple, forcing yourself to keep your smile steady.
“Aha… Looking forward to it.”
This is gonna be a long year, isn’t it?

You weren’t sure which was worse - the dinner your mother was hosting, or the idea that you now had to put up with a whole night of Luke’s strange nephew, whom you’d never met before.
Of course, you loved your family to pieces, and you loved Sookie and Jackson; hell, sometimes you looked at Luke as more of a father than you did your actual dad, but having everyone together for what you knew would be at least a three course meal, under one roof, with Luke’s mysterious nephew from New York, just felt draining.
So, to preserve what little social battery you had left for the day, you decided to spend the time between school and dinner in your room upstairs with a good book and a cd playing from the player that sat on your dresser at a low volume. You had to change the cd twice, first from one of your mothers Bangles cds to a Smiths one, but just as you were enjoying the beginning of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust album (and nearly finishing up your book), did you hear the clanging of pots and pans from downstairs, as well as Sookie and Jackson’s lighthearted bickering.
You managed to bury yourself back into your book, one leg crossed loosely over the other outstretched one as you half-sat, half-laid on your bed, being mindful of your shoes so as to not get any dirt on your covers.
From downstairs, Jess was wandering around the Gilmore home as everyone else did whatever they were doing in the kitchen, internally monologuing and half-mocking their decor. He’d met Rory already, and she seemed like a nice enough girl. Enjoyed books. But he had yet to meet the third and final Gilmore girl, who so far had only been mentioned. However, as Jess scanned the various photographs on the mantle, he could hear the faint guitar of Suffragette City emanating from somewhere upstairs.
After peeking down the hallway to make sure no one was watching, Jess smirked and snuck up the stairs, into what was surely off-limits territory for someone like him. Still, he took the stairs two at a time and stealthily, managing to avoid all the places that would creak in a house like this one, despite never stepping foot inside beforehand. He followed the music down the hall, past some more paintings and pictures, to another bedroom. The door was open, and he was able to take a look inside. Posters covered most of the wall, leaving little space to show off the paint beneath them. Bookshelves occupied the wall right beside the door, and similarly to Rory’s room, they looked stuffed to the brim with books.
On the bed, facing him, was the person he assumed to be the final Gilmore girl - Rory’s twin sister. He watched intently, scanning every feature of your focused face as you scanned the final pages of the book you were reading. How your brow furrowed, eyes locked on the ink before you. The way the foot that hung off the edge of the bed was moving to the beat of the song.
Once Jess had decided that he’d been watching you long enough to constitute stalking, and how that was probably extremely creepy, he nudged the door open with a creak and stepped inside, clearing his throat and pulling his lips into a slight smirk. “Hey there, Ziggy.”
At first, you thought that your mother was finally calling you down to dinner, until you heard the unusually male - and entirely unfamiliar - voice come from the body in your doorway. Tucking a receipt into your book to mark your place, you glared over at the boy standing in your room with his hands behind his back, smugness rolling off of him in waves as he admired your room.
“You’re Jess, aren’t you.” Your flat tone seemed to amuse him.
“How nice, you already know my name. I’m flattered.”
You watched him as he walked around your room, over to the window where your desk was, trying to figure him out as he peeled back your curtains. “It’s impossible to not know someone’s name in this town, even someone who’s only been here for 28 hours.”
He chuckled. “Nice one, Ziggy. Now tell me, why aren’t you downstairs with the rest of the freakshow? I mean, they are your family, after all, aren’t they?”
You pretended to smile, but it came out as more of a grimace. “Sorry to break it to you, Mariano, but I’ve been banned from the freakshow. Apparently having apathy toward any sort of Gilmore humour is forbidden, and they’ve locked me away forever.”
“Aw, so sorry to hear that.” Jess mocked, placing a hand over his heart with an exaggerated pout. “I can’t believe they shunned such a ray of sunshine.” He smirked at your rolled eyes. “No, really, you must be a real treat at parties.”
“Quit it, Mariano. Is there a reason you came up here or did you just want to cause enough trouble to get kicked out of our beloved Stars Hollow? Because if so, you came to the right girl.”
Jess’ brow quirked. “Really?”
“Yeah,” you heaved a dramatic sigh, slipping off your bed to walk over to Jess. “But it’s like… 9pm on a Wednesday. In Stars Hollow. Even if I wanted to cause trouble, and I don’t, because I did enough of that at school today, there’s nothing to do. Everyone’s asleep, and I’m pretty sure our 24-hour mini-mart closed like, half an hour ago.”
Now it was Jess’ turn to roll his eyes. “Your sister said that already. Is there seriously nothing to do here?”
“Nope.” You shrugged, just as a thought came to mind. “Well… there is one thing…” Jess’ eyebrows raised at the prospect of having something fun to do, and you couldn’t help but laugh. “It’s not anything revolutionary, you know.”
“Still, give me something, anything, to get us out of here, Ziggy. I’m begging you. I’m being suffocated by the stale air of suburban life.”
You nodded, tapping your fingers on your thigh. “Fine, I’ll tell you. But you gotta do one thing for me.”
“What is it? I’ll do anything, I swear.”
“Stop calling me Ziggy.” You said. “It’s a stupid nickname, and although I admire the fact that you listen to David Bowie enough to come up with a nickname like that one, I hate it. Call me by my actual name.”
“Well I would, if I knew it.”
“My mother never told you my name?” You asked with a raised brow. “She never shuts up about me and Rory, I’m surprised you never caught it.”
“Apparently, I didn’t. It seems she likes talking about Rory more.” Jess shrugged. “At least, around me she does.” He barely caught the slight sag of your shoulders, the drop in your demeanour, before you picked it back up and smiled.
“Well, Jess. I’m Y/n. Y/n Gilmore.” After a pause, you looked around and snagged a sweater from the chair in the corner of your room. “Now, if you’ll follow me, let’s go have as much fun as we’re able to in Stars Hollow at night.”
Jess waited impatiently behind you as you unlatched the window by your desk and pushed it up, slipping through and holding it open for him. As he clamoured out, you grabbed the rock underneath the window and placed it on the windowsill, lowering the window so you’d still be able to get back in later.
You could still hear the tail end of the album playing as Jess looked around.
“How are we supposed to get down?”
“The trellis, obviously.” You said, carefully making your way across the porch’s roof to the trellis right next to the kitchen window. “Just don’t make much noise, this thing is right next to the kitchen’s window and if we get caught we’re screwed. Follow my lead, and run when you hit the ground, got it?”
“Got it.”
Scaling down the trellis was basically second nature to you, but you made sure to look up every once in a while to make sure Jess was doing okay. He seemed to be, which comforted you somehow. You waited at the bottom for him, making sure to stay out of view of the window to the kitchen and the edge of the porch, which were on either side of the trellis, and could possibly get both you and Jess grounded.
When he landed, he looked at you, and a dish clattered in the kitchen. You both snapped to the window, then back to each other. On instinct, you took his hand and ran toward the woods.
“Where the hell are we going?!” Jess whisper-shouted.
“Relax!” You whisper-shouted back, slowing to a stop as soon as you were hidden in the tree line. “We’re not going into the woods, dumbass. What do you think would’ve happened if we waltzed out in the open in front of the living room window?”
Jess only sighed and nodded, letting go of your hand. He let you lead him through the trees, keeping the light of the house close to you, walking around the garage and past all the cars, waiting until Babette’s house was out of sight until you stepped back onto the road.
The walk was calm and quiet, crickets and the breeze occupying you instead of chatter. After a while, when you were beginning to reach the town centre, Jess spoke up. “So, what now?”
You shrugged. “Not sure. Usually I head to the lake, bring a book, or a cd player and some headphones. I don’t normally bring people with me, you know?”
Jess nodded, lips slightly pursed. The walk continued through the town, passing by shop after shop, all of them closed for the night. You had to admit, you weren’t used to taking walks like these, out in the open. Normally you’d find whichever path kept you out of the possible sight of the townspeople, a habit you developed after Taylor snitched on you to your mother after he caught you walking to the lake by the Inn when you were 12. Still, it was nice, and even if you were caught, you somehow didn’t seem to mind it.
As the buildings were fading again and you knew you were approaching the lake, you checked your watch. 9:27pm. You sighed, and Jess looked at you. Dropping your arm, you shook your head. “Almost 9:30. They definitely have to know something’s up at home. Probably sending out a search party by now.” You told him, before shrugging. “Or, you know, miraculously, they forgot we existed and are eating Sookie’s delicious no-allergen, fourteen course meal as we speak.”
Jess scoffed. “Yeah, right. Luke might not care that much, but Lorelai? She seems like the world’s most protective parent.”
“She is.” You confirmed, sitting on your usual bench, eyes following Jess as he sat next to you. “Trust me, I love her to death, but it gets annoying sometimes.”
“Yeah, well, at least you have a protective mom.” Jess’ hands gripped the edge of the bench, his body hunched forward, making him look small, ready to run at a moment’s notice. “Mine decided I wasn’t worth the effort. Shipped me off to this… circus show without so much as a ‘sayonara, kid.’ You’re lucky.”
You frowned. Everyone knew within the hour of him arriving in Stars Hollow that Jess was a troubled kid, but even troubled kids deserved parents that cared. He was right, though, you were lucky. It just didn’t feel like it.
“I know I’m lucky, Jess, but it’s not all rainbows for me, you know.”
“Oh yeah? How?” He scoffed. “You have the perfect life, Y/n. A mom that cares, a great twin sister - hell, even Luke sings your praises.”
“Luke sings?”
Jess rolled his eyes. “You know what I mean.”
“It’s not like that all the time, Jess.” You sighed. “My ‘great’ twin sister is, apparently, so great that she has all eyes on her at all times. My grandparents are always so proud of her for being so smart and planning this amazing, expensive, studious future - they’re planning on funding it, too, from the sounds of things. I just want to live, you know?” You kicked a rock with your shoe, avoiding Jess’ concerned gaze.
“And my mother seems more concerned about her wellbeing than mine, closer to her than to me. But somehow she wonders why I’m the troubled one. I mean, I act out, I barely go to that stupid prep school because it’s so suffocating, and I got an eyebrow piercing without permission instead of taking a calculus test last month, which I’m just getting out of that punishment. Everyone’s so focused on Rory and how seemingly great she is, I don’t even remember the last time I was appreciated for anything. And don’t even get me started on my dad.”
“Sounds like these freaks don’t know a good person when they see one.” Jess told you. “You seem chill. Adventurous, too. But just because you aren’t appreciated doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough.”
You couldn’t help but smile. “You too, Jess.” The world quieted around you for a moment, stars shining off the rippling waters of the lake. “But we don’t need to be good enough for them. Just good enough for us.”
He smiled, nodding once at you. Again, you appreciated the silence with him, watching the water or the sky. It wouldn’t be long until Luke and your mother found you both, you with your head on his shoulder and one knee bent to your chest, laughing quietly at a joke he told as you continued to get to know one another. But that was later. For now, you simply sat and watched the water, wishing the moment could last for the rest of your lives.

Whatever you do, don't envision Reader and Felix driving a vintage convertible through the Tuscan countryside. Top down, wind in their hair, the scent of lemon groves, music playing from the radio.
Perhaps they're on their way to a private party or they're ditching one 🤭
Felix and Reader are holding hands or he's got a hand on their thigh, loving the way they look so carefree.
(stumbling out of my inbox covered in fluff: i don't know where this came from)
There's no prying eyes in moments like these, no-one to perform for, no performers masquerading as his friends or friends of the family trying to steal his attention. Its all on you, and you've never performed for Felix the way the rest of the world has.
He loves you for it.
He loves you for many reasons, of course, but this is one of his favourites.
The sun has just set, the sky painted a burning orange before it fades to sweet lilac and then night, stars beginning to brighten in the sky, and you haven't stopped smiling since he'd pulled out of the parking lot of that god awful party. His darling parents were being progressive with none too subtle purpose, and while both you and he loved their ongoing support, sometimes it was a bit much. More than a bit much. It was suffocating.
But he has no phone service out here, only you beside him with the map he keeps under the seat, pointing out a quaint town an hour away with some kind of hotel situation, and his hand on your thigh. The radio is loud and bright, though you still complain about the CD player in his car -
"I spent good money on a tape deck that works, bought actual, brand new tapes -"
"Where the hell did you get those?" He laughed, but was endeared by your efforts, even as you talked over him, pointedly ignoring him.
"- made you a whole mixtape, and you went and replaced the take deck in your card with a bloody CD player!" You threw your hands in the air in mock dismay.
"I had the CD player put in when dad gave me the car," Felix half smiles, glancing at you for just a moment out of the corner of his eye, "years ago," he reminds you. Seeing the way you're trying so hard to keep up your show off being miffed, despite the sheepish smile curling at the edge of your lips, he gives your thigh a squeeze and looks back at the road.
Slowly, you uncross your arms, sitting back in your seat with a faint, playful pout. When you rest your hand on his, it's warm.
"Made a whole proper cover for it and everything, to put in that plastic cover-thingy they all come in."
"I know," Felix agrees, "I like how you styled the track list on the back," he can't help but smile, picturing it in his mind, "and it's a good set of songs."
He loves the goofy smile he knows you're wearing without even having to turn and look at you. Something about how genuinely you've always reacted to his praise has always warmed his heart; you'd always had a knack for telling his performative, placating praise from his sincerity. He's known you too long and too well by now to offer anything but sincerity when you both know it's rightfully deserved.
"I'll buy you a car with a tape deck just so we can listen to my road trip mix," you say it so casually that he's not quite sure if you're joking. But then you pet his hand, laughter ringing out from you, into the perfect Summer night, "kidding, Fi; I made it for you, listen to it wherever or whenever you want," he catches your easygoing shrug out of the corner of his eye, "or never. No skin off my nose." For a few moments, you distract yourself, tapping out inconsistent beats along his fingers, the back of his hand -
"Unless you want a car with a tape deck," this time he's sure it's not a joke. Its as casual as if you'd offered to simply buy him a beer, no real larger thoughts behind the offer. No part of you is performing the way anyone else would; not trying to bribe, or buy, or placate, or charm, or flaunt your wealth;
"You've just now reminded me why my parents are so adamantly pro-Gay Marriage," Felix couldn't help his laughter, and you sat back, watching the road ahead with a wry smile.
"Your parents are so adamantly pro-Gay Marriage because they desperately want me to pick if I'm to be legally recognised as one or the other, so they can marry me off right now to either you or your sister, but are too deep in their support of me to feel comfortable asking that," you turn to look at him with something forlorn in your eyes despite the smile on your lips, and Felix, despite how much he loved his parents, also knew you were absolutely right.
"No matter where in the world I am," Felix grins, as the lights of the town ahead begin to glow in the distance, "the minute -the absolute moment- mum finds out the two of us can legally get married, I bet you I get a call telling me to come home so she and dad can give me the family ring," and beside him, you're cackling with laughter just picturing it, "at three in the morning, I'll be in Australia or some place, high as fuck in the bush or something, and I'll have to deal with mum acting like she hasn't been plotting this arranged marriage shit for years!"
And the two of you laugh, because you're barely twenty, and the idea of a future beyond your youthful hedonism is overwhelming if you don't laugh about it. Politics, and real world issues, and the future neither of you want to think about, are all absurd, and laughable, and easy to push to the back of your minds. Like the cassette mixtape Felix keeps in his glove box even without a tape deck, because he knows he'll never lose it there.
You take Felix's hand from your thigh as you lace your fingers with his.
And you laugh.
And neither of you knows if it's because the idea of getting married feels preposterous, or maybe a little inevitable.

I FUCKING LOST THE ASK BECAUSE TUMBLRS A BITCH. Some lovely anon asked for subby charlie crying with a soft dom sadist reader. Here it is! I added a Mommy kink because it felt right.
Tumblr media
Happy Tears
Charlie Walker x Fem!Reader
A/N: for some fucking reason I wrote this like very...detailed or something? idk but I like it, so... enjoy!
Word count: 502
Warnings: mommy kink, dacryphilia, overstimulation, my endless love for Rory's gorgeous blue eyes, a mention of Charlies fanboyness?, my guesses at Charlies music taste, unprotected sex (wrap it, people!)
"Fuck! Momma- *hic* Momma, please. I can't, i-" He cut himself off with a whine, trying to squirm away from your touch.
"Charlie, you've only cum twice though, baby~" Fuck, he's so pretty when he cries.
"Can you be good for me and give me just one more?" The way he rapidly nods his head, bringing a smile to your face.
"I'm gonna ride your pretty cock, baby." He looked up at you pleadingly, those beautiful blue eyes glassy from the tears of the past hour.
"Mhm. Wanna make you feel good too momma." You stroked his cheek with a soft touch, one that felt lovingly familiar.
Grabbing his cock, you gave it a few slow strokes, placing one last kiss to the tip and guiding towards your entrance. He whined at the contact, unconsciously bucking his hips, sliding himself into you accidentally.
"Ah! FuCK! I'm s-sorry momma!" His breaths shuddered as you continued to sink down onto him, his girth stretching you deliciously. You smiled down at him, letting him know you weren't mad at all.
You slightly shifted your hips, sending shock waves of please through Charlie. He whimpered and jerked his hips again, the sensitivity coming on strong already.
"Doing so well baby, momma's so proud." He smiled at you and did his best to fuck up into you, the trembling of his thighs aiding to his struggle. He knew your body like the plot of stab 1, and you, his. He knew the exact angle in this position to hit to slam straight into the sweet, spongy spot of yours.
You threw your head back and rocked your hips, back and forth, back and forth. Charlie did his best not to cum yet, trying to focus on something else in the room to distract him.
The clock on the wall, slowly ticking rhythmically, mocking his unsteady breaths. Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock.
The slight whirr of the paused Cure CD on the CD player, whirring in wait of when he'd play it. Whrrr.
The ding of his notifications going off, he completely forgot that you were supposed to be at a party with your friends, they were probably going off in the group chat. Ding! Ding! Ding!
And he finally turned back towards you. Fuck. The slight tremble of your plush bottom lip, your perfect bouncing tits, the few hickies on your neck from earlier. Looking down at where you both connected, he could've came right there.
There was a ring of your creamy slick around the base of his cock, making this lewd, wet, slapping noise every time your hips met. You tipped his head up to look at you.
You leaned in and kissed him, giving him that shove towards the edge that he so desperately needed. He pulled away quickly to warn you of his oncoming release. Choked whimpers and moans coming out in place of words.
Tick-Tock, Whrrr, Ding! And you.
"Shit- close!" He swore he saw stars.
"Go ahead and cum for me. My good boy."

Endless summer (18+)
Keegan P. Russ x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
content warnings: 18+ content, nsfw, handjob, GN! reader, kinda sub!Keegan?? He’s just a bitch
✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉ ✼ ҉
Keegan’s heavy groans fill the room, deafening the music sounding from his CD player. Fuck, those sounds. His deep, throaty groans are barely contained, stemming from your hand pumping his cock with the perfect motions, a technique you didn’t even realise you had developed over the course of your relationship.
His body is sprawled over that big armchair he likes so much. His thighs are almost difficult to straddle, and those gorgeous, broad shoulders of his…leading down towards his arms, thick with muscle, the result of his years spent as a marine. His hand grips the armchair, a weak attempt at containing himself, the force at which he was holding onto it causing the muscle in his bicep to tense up.
“Fuck, fuck, sweetheart..slow down.” He groans, eyes squeezing shut as his head tips back. His other hand stays on your waist, his grip so strong it would cause your skin to bruise. You pray the bruises last for long, so that they can be a reminder of him, a reminder of just how desperately you needed him.
You lean forwards to bite into the flesh of his shoulder, hard enough to elicit a sound from him. “Ah..feels good, fuck, that’s good..”
You can’t even grasp him properly, his cock far too thick for your fist to reach all the way around. You knew just how good he felt inside of you, stretching you out to the fucking brim and always making you feel so full.
His eyes are hazy with pleasure, and you can tell he’s trying his hardest to keep them on you. He’s barely controlling himself. “Open.” You tell him, his eyes flickering from you to the hand splayed out on his shoulder, before he obliges. Two of your fingers push into his open mouth, pressing down on his tongue and coating themselves in his spit. Fuck, just the sight of him. His chest rising and falling with quick breaths, his lips parted to accommodate for your fingers, his brows knotted together, all while he’s trying his hardest to contain his sounds. He sucks at it, honest, small groans leaving him whenever you rub your palm over his tip. “M’close, shit, m’so fucking close baby.” His words are a little muffled by the pads of your fingertips mapping out his tongue. His expression hardens for a second, his eyes meeting yours with annoyance at your laugh, only causing you to let out another giggle.
He fucking hates it, that mocking smile on your face, the teasing look in your eyes as you look down at him, thighs straddling his as he remains slouched against the back of the chair. “Wipe that fucking smirk off your face.” He spits at you, but the threat in his words is diminished by your fingers muffling his speech. “Oh yeah?” You laugh, wrapping your hand around his cock, squeezing around his tip. He lets out an uncharacteristic, almost whiny noise. “You’re not really in the position to tell me what to do, not right now, Keegs.” You remove your fingers from his mouth, lowering your hand down to where your other one rubs and pumps at his cock. You cup your slick hand around his balls, practically toying with him with the way your hand squeezes around them.
“Shut the fuck up..” he groans, partly in annoyance, partly in pleasure. The wet sound of your hand pumping around him is barely audible over the music still rolling. You squeeze your hand around his cock again, pumping him faster, fuck, you just wanna see him cum. His hand squeezes your thigh impossibly tightly, thighs lifting off the seat of the armrest as he nears his orgasm.
“Shit, shit, shit.” He groans, his eyes rolling back as he grits his teeth. You see the moment his orgasm hits him, his thighs tense, twitching as his pearly white cum covers the fist squeezing around the tip of his cock. “Ah, ah, fuck.” Those gorgeous, deep sounds make your stomach flip, you bite down on his neck again while pumping him through his orgasm, and he seems to like the pleasure mixing with the pain, breathy groans leaving his parted lips as his eyes roll back. You keep jacking his cock, your cum-covered hand rubbing and fondling his balls. “Fuck, can’t-“ his thighs are still twitching, and he seems to be pressing himself back into the armchair, the low groans leaving him growing more raw. “Stop, you gotta stop, s’too fffucking much..” his words are accentuated by the deepness of his voice, and in response you slow the movements of your hands till you stop entirely, splaying them on the bare skin of your thighs. His spend runs down your fingers, dribbling onto your thigh.
You lean back, watching the heavy rise and fall of his chest as he regains himself. His arms loosely resting on the arms of his seat, head tipped back for support. You stay like that for a few minutes, just admiring him as his breath eventually evens out again. His hand comes up to wrap around your waist, pulling you close to him.

Sweet
Summary: You were in charge of the bakery of Jackson, baking all day long with a little help from Ellie. What you didn't know is that Joel Miller had a sweet tooth. And let's just say even the funghi apocalypse did not change saying: the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
Pairing: Joel Miller x fem. reader

Tumblr media
You enjoyed these quiet moments when the small community of Jackson was still asleep. The sun wasn’t even up as you walked the familiar way from your small house on the edges of town towards the town centre.
You still couldn’t believe how surreal living here was, after years of living scared on the road, even though you had been here for almost a year now.
You felt safe here, and that was the biggest luxury you could have since the outbreak.
Maria had found you hiding in an abandoned lodge hours from here, nearly delirious from hunger and hydration.
You don’t remember how you got here exactly, you just remember waking up in what you learned later was the town's jail with Maria watching you like a hawk.
Apparently you had fought them pretty wildly when they found you and you only had Tommy Miller to thank for them not killing you. What he saw in you was a question you still asked yourself.
But Maria noticed that she did not have to worry about you pretty quickly. And when her husband learned that you used to help in your fathers bakery before the Outbreak… Well let’s just say the empty building next to the bar had been renovated within three weeks to make room for a bakery and you had been baking everything from bread to sweets ever since then.
Your days didn’t have to start so early. But you cherished the quiet, the alone time you got whenever you walked through town before everyone woke up.
Ever since you started baking for the town all kinds of ingredients and appliances showed up whenever patrol was out on a run. You had your usual baked goods and pastries you made for the daily with ingredients you always had on stock. If someone wanted something special you did that too. You’d never forget last year when Tommy had brought you fresh strawberries to make four cakes with it.
By now you had a little garden at your home with all fresh fruits. Even a peach and an apple tree was slowly growing in your yard. Okay, it wasn’t even up to your hip but it was getting there and in the meantime you could count on Tommy Miller’s sweet tooth to bring you whatever he found when he was scouting outside of the walls.
Your little bakery was quiet, the radio playing some Queen CD you had found in the library as you kneaded some dough to make some new loafs of bread. Humming along you jumped when the door flew open with a yelled “Good Morning.”
You took a deep breath, shaking your head, a smile sneaking to your face before Ellie even walked towards the back to find you.
“Jesus kid, one day you are going to give me a heart attack,” you scolded her. She stuck her tongue out towards you as she grabbed her apron.
“You’re late,” you said.
“I know. But I have a good reason!” she grinned and you only noticed the bag she was carrying now.
You tilted your head to the side, narrowing your eyes with a smile playing around your lips.
“Joel got back in back late yesterday and I tried cooking for him.”
“So you were late because you were putting the fire out from burning down the kitchen?” you teased.
She gasped, her eyes widening in mock offence.
“Rude. But I’ll let it slide. I didn’t burn the food. Well, not much but Joel brought me some new comics to read and I kinda forgot the time.”
“That’s the good reason?” you asked. You began to cut the dough and form some loafs.
She shook her head, beginning to unload the bag.
The first thing you saw seemed to be cream cheese.
“Had to pick that up from the farm,” she explained. “That’s why I was late.”
“Okay…” you nodded.
She pulled another three big bags with what looked like a brownish powder.
“Joel found this and said I had to talk you into making… Cinnamon… rolls?”
You gasped. Rubbing your hands off your apron you walked over to her, opening the bag and the familiar scent of cinnamon hitting your nose.
“How did he even… Wait, Joel told you to talk me into making cinnamon rolls?” you asked surprised.
“Yup.”
“Joel Miller?” you checked. She nodded again.
“Huh okay,” you nodded, surprised.
Of course you knew Joel Miller. Not just because he was the new main attraction (pun intended) of the town, no he could almost compete Tommy on the first place of Jackson’s biggest sweet tooth. Not that you would know about it if it wasn’t for Ellie telling you that basically everything she took home after helping you was almost inhaled immediately by Joel.
You hadn’t met him in person very often yet. Ellie and Joel had been in Jackson for almost two months now and he was busy helping out wherever he could. He had a skillset that was very valuable in times like these.
One day Tommy had brought Ellie with him, introducing you to her and she… she never really left. On weekends she helped you out in the morning like today, while during the week she hung out with you after school. If she wasn’t here, she was with Joel.
Which made you not really knowing much about the man a little strange. He only had been to the bakery once, probably to make sure you weren’t a bad influence on his kid (though you would say it was very much Ellie who was the bad influence here, not that you would say that out loud).
You had met him at Maria’s birthday party only two weeks ago where he kept in the back and nursed a bottle of beer until leaving quietly without saying goodbye to anyone.
You knew Maria was not his biggest fan, though the question of why has not been answered yet. Not that you had a right to know in any way.
To you he seemed like a man hardened by the world you all were living in. He’d protect his family until his last breath. Ellie only ever had great things to say about him (apart from moaning about him making her do daily chores around the house like every teenager) and Tommy seemed even happier since Joel was in Jackson.
Of course you saw the way people looked at him, you weren’t blind.
He was tall and had broad shoulders, the warmest brown eyes you had ever seen, leaving not only you to daydream about those arms and hands and what he could do with them.
“So, Cinnamon rolls?” Ellie asked and you blinked at her, your nose still inhaling the scent.
“Yes. God, it must be at least 20 years since I’ve had some.”
You grabbed two of the packages, putting them away.
“We gotta finish those loafs of bread first. Then we can start on the rolls.”
“Can we do a whole tin of these cinnamon rolls for Joel?” Ellie asked, walking back to join you at the counter after she had washed her hands.
“Sure. I don’t see why not,” you shrugged, rolling the dough to form more loafs of bread.
“Cause it’s his birthday and Tommy said he hates his birthday, cause ya know it’s outbreak day and…. Well stuff happened there…. And I… I want him to be a little happy?” she said and you nodded.
Outbreak day was bad for everyone. It was the day you lost your whole family. You had just turned 26 and had been visiting home for a week after moving away for a job. You were at your father’s bakery, finishing icing for a wedding cake for the next day when your father attacked you.
You had killed him in tears to save your own life and nothing had ever been the same ever since.
“I already said it’s okay, Ellie. Come on. Let’s bake the best cinnamon rolls of the apocalypse,” you joked and she giggled.
Tumblr media
You ended up not only making four loads of cinnamon rolls that were gone the moment word got out you had made them, but also a little vanilla sponge cake with cinnamon frosting, helping Ellie to carry the cake and one load of cinnamon rolls home.
She insisted it was okay for you to come home with her, she couldn’t carry it on her own anyway.
Opening the door, she yelled for Joel immediately and you chuckled as you followed her inside and into the kitchen.
It only took a moment before you heard footsteps and Joel Miller walked into the kitchen. And what a sight to behold he was. Wearing dark sweatpants and a thin white shirt, his hair unkempt. You had the suspicion that he had just woken up from a nap. His eyes found yours first, confusion washing over his face before he looked behind you to find Ellie.
“Look what we made you!” Ellie said proudly, revealing the little cake with one single pink birthday candle on top of it which she had lit.
A genuine smile sneaked on his face as he slowly walked over to the table where Ellie had set the cake down.
“For me?” he asked and Ellie nodded eagerly.
“You gotta blow out the candle if you still can, old man,” she winked at him and he huffed a laugh, his head turning towards you for a second.
“Make a wish,” you said with a smile and he nodded before he blew the candle out.
“Taste the frosting! I didn’t know anything could taste so fucking good,” Ellie pushed a spoon into his hand and he shook his head with a smile as he sat down.
“I should go,” you said and Ellie looked at you with wide eyes, as if she only just remembered you were still there.
“Noooo come on. You gotta stay. Enjoy our hard work and eat a piece of cake,” she grabbed another spoon and walked over to you, grabbing you hand and pulling you with her towards the table.
“Yeah. Stay. Can’t let you leave without having a taste of your hard work,” Joel said and gave you a small smile.
You took a deep breath, his eyes not leaving yours as you finally nodded and sat down next to him.
“Plates?” he asked.
“And have me clean the dishes again? Fuck no dude. Dig in,” Ellie said and you chuckled at the expression of pure defeat on Joel’s face before he sighed and dug his spoon into the cake.
Tumblr media
Joel became a frequent fixture in your life after that day.
He picked Ellie up after her shift at the bakery and made suggestions about how to improve the bakery. He suggested having some place to sit outside to enjoy a piece of cake in the sun.
“You know, like a coffee shop before the outbreak,” he says with a far away expression on his face, as if he was thinking about something in particular.
A week later there was a bench outside of the bakery with a small table, built by him and for you. You thanked him with a peach pie and a kiss to his cheek that had him hide a blush.
Him and Tommy even brought an espresso machine into your bakery that they intended to fix. How they would provide coffee beans for their espresso was beyond you, but you knew if the Miller brothers wanted something, they would find a way to get it.
Ellie started to spend even more time with you.
She would visit you at home and help with your little garden. When you walked her home after Joel would have dinner ready more than once, inviting you to join them. And who were you to say no?
There were little touches when you passed by. His hands brushing over your arms, your back, your waist. Whenever you were looking for him, his eyes would already be on you, a smile playing at the corner of his lips.
It was interesting seeing how different he was in his home in comparison to outside in town.
He’d walk you home after dinner, so he knew you’d make it back safe even though both of you knew you were perfectly safe anytime in Jackson.
Joel seemed to look for reasons to spend time with you, and you were not complaining. At all.
It had been many many years since you were interested in someone and someone in you and you were enjoying having the attention of Joel Miller.
He’d hug you good night, telling you to be safe and that he’s looking forward to seeing you the next day.
Spending time with him became your new favourite thing, and you were pretty sure Joel liked it too.
Yet you felt like something was holding him back.
And you’d learn about it weeks later, after he had invited you for dinner, for your first official date.
You learned about his daughter who was killed on outbreak day. About how he lost a part of himself that only started to come back after he had allowed himself to care for Ellie. You learned about Tess and how he regretted never being brave enough to tell her how he felt about her before she died.
“I’m scared that once I allow myself to care about someone, they will be taken from me,” he whispered as you sat in his arms, your back against his chest as you shared a glass of wine in front of the fireplace.
“I think we’re all scared Joel,” you said, your hands on top of his.
“How couldn’t we be? Fucking funghi took over and ended the world as we knew it before. But that’s the thing. We don’t know how long we live. And I probably sound like a shitty  motivational speaker but it’d be a shame not to live every day like it could be the last. To not tell the people you care about how you feel about them,” you said and felt him pull you even closer, his nose nuzzling into your hair as he sighed.
You had fallen asleep not long after, waking up early the next morning when Joel had to leave for patrol.
His eyes had lingered on your lips as he told you to stay however long you wanted, before he kissed your forehead and helped you up on the couch where you fell asleep again.
Tumblr media
You were late in the bakery that day, thankful for Sean who had joined the community a week before who was already finished with all the baked goods for the day when you finally made your way to the bakery at noon.
You thanked him, sending him home early before you got behind the counter and started decorating some cookies he had made for a kid's birthday the next day.
The sun was setting when the door opened and Joel walked in. He smiled at you and you offered him a cookie which he took, moaning when he tasted it.
“Got something for ya,” he said and you noticed the bag he was holding. Interested, you walked over to him as he held it up.
“What is it?” you asked with big eyes.
“Found a plum tree on the new route today,” he said and you grinned.
“You got me plums?” you grinned and he nodded.
God you wanted to kiss him so badly.
You were startled when you heard a crack, Joel’s arm wrapping around your middle protectively, shoving you behind him before either of you knew what was happening, your head whipping to the side just in time to see the cupboard behind you on the wall crash down on the counter, your eyes widening when one of the bags of powdery sugar you had made the week before opened and seemed to cloud the whole room in a white cloud of sugar.
You turned your head to look up at Joel, eyes widened with shock, a giggle fighting its way out of you. Joel was still looking at the damage behind you before his eyes were on you when you laughed.
“I might have to file a complaint against the carpenter that hung those,” you hummed and Joel shook his head with a chuckle.
“You better.”
“It was your brother,” you said.
He rolled his eyes and sighed.
“Of course it was. Gonna fix that up myself for ya, darling,” he said. You smiled, only now noticing that his arm was still wrapped around you. You turned, stepping around him so that you were facing him. Carefully your hand reached out, your fingers rubbing over his temple, where you only noticed now some sugar was sticking to his skin. He hummed, his eyes closing for a moment as you swiped it away, bringing it to your lips. Licking them clean.
“You have sugar all over you too,” he whispered and you sucked your bottom lip in, hiding your smile as his warm brown eyes took in every little inch of your face. He tilted his head a little, one of his hands coming up, two of his fingers rubbing over your cheek before he rubbed them over your lips.
Sugar, he was rubbing sugar over your lips.
Your lips parted as he tilted your chin up.
“Always wondered if you taste as sweet as I imagined,” he hummed before he closed the distance between the two of you and pressed his lips against yours.
You melted against him, your hands running up his back until your fingers were in his hair as you guided him down towards you.
Joel hummed against your lips as he slowly walked you back until your back hit the counter. Parting from your lips he looked at you with dark eyes, before he helped you up on the counter, your legs crossing behind him as he stepped between them.
“Dreamed so long about this,” he brushed his nose over yours and you smiled.
“Me too,” you hummed, playing with his hair as one of his hands came up to cup your cheek.
He kissed you again, his lips moving against yours, making you dizzy. His hand slipped under your shirt, making you shiver as his fingers slowly ran up your spine.
You parted your lips for him, his tongue slipping into your mouth, deepening the kiss until you were both out of breath. You could feel him hard against your core, his hips moving just right against your clit, making you moan against his lips.
The door behind you opened and you both froze. Slowly you tilted your head to the side, finding Tommy grinning widely at you both.
“I’m just gonna take his and…” he helped himself to two cupcakes and turned around, walking back towards the door.
He stopped, stepping to the side to turn off the lights, giving you a wink before he closed the door behind him.
You let your head fall against Joel’s shoulder as you both laughed.
“I’m never gonna hear the end of that,” he sighed, shaking his head as he chuckled.
“Maybe we should take this somewhere else,” he said and you looked up at him. He kissed you again, both of his hands now on your ass as he rolled his hips against you.
“Lead the way,” you whispered against his lips, shrieking when he picked you up from the counter and carried you towards the door.

part fourteen - interrupted (written part : 1.3k words; cw: a little suggestive towards the end, but that’s it :))
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you knocked on the wooden door still high on what you just lived and a bit nervous as to what awaited you behind it.
“come in.” gojo was seating on a red velvet couch, on his phone, and got up to greet you. he looked tired from having just finished performing, a few strands of his hair were sticking to his forehead, his clothes were messy. he was hiding something behind his back that you didn’t see him pick up.
“i wrapped it just for you.” he was smiling, he looked like he was up to something.
he handed you a poorly wrapped gift, with tape placed seemingly at random on the small package. you refrained from making a comment, for once. suspicious, you took it and tore up the packaging, staring at the “gift” for a good 10 seconds, speechless.
“now that you’ve seen us play twice you’re obviously a huge fan of us, and of me, so here” with the stupidest smile on his face.
“a signed cd of your album…” you just stared at it mouth agape and looked back up at him, dumbfounded.
“it’s sold out everywhere, you know, and the poster inside is autographed too, you’re very lucky.” you were still silent, his smile widened and he burst out laughing. “if you could see your face right now!!” he was clutching his stomach, howling with laughter at his own joke.
come on it’s not that funny…
you punched his arm hard, not hard enough to hurt even if a small, tiny part of you wanted to. he pretended to be in pain, whining like the over the top person he was, before reaching in a bag next to the coffee table and handing you another gift, this time not wrapped for obvious reasons.
“you can keep the other one, you’re welcome” he winked, visibly very proud of himself. "for your collection"
it was a mug, shaped like a cat, a maneki-neko to be exact.
“what? how did you know?”, you sat down on the couch and he flopped down next to you.
“i don’t know if you remember, when we met, there was this one song i really liked and you didn’t want to tell me what it meant for you. i wasn’t really looking since you told me it was private, i didn’t want to pry you know. but i found this interview you did, for a blog i think, in it you explained a bit of the meaning and mentioned this.” he gestured to the mug in your hands
“isn’t that interview kinda old?”
“okay maybe i looked a little”, he looked at you with a smile as you chuckled.
wait… you chuckled??
there’s a beat of silence as you examined the mug in your hands, remembering how you used to collect stuff like this as a kid whenever you went somewhere.
“i said i collected tacky mugs, this one’s not that tacky it’s cute!!”
“sorry i have such good taste” he shrugged, grinning. “i saw it in the window of a store and thought of you.”
“thank you. i’ll have to start collecting them again now.”
gojo examined you for a minute, as if he was wondering if he could pry now.
“why did you stop?” he was looking at you but you were still staring at the cat shaped object, “i’m embarrassed… don’t laugh ok?” you turned to face him, suddenly very serious, he nodded, intently listening “an ex made fun of me for it”, he huffed out a laugh.
“what did i just say?”
“come on that was barely a laugh… and it wasn’t at you” you tilted your head, confused, “it’s just funny how we all do stupid shit when we’re in love”
“even you?” you sounded slightly mocking, you were having a hard time picturing it, he didn’t answer, instead playing with his rings.
“gojo?” this time your tone was softer, worried that you might have offended him just now.
“oh sorry i was… lost in thought i guess.”
“you can think?” you gasped
he elbowed you, pouting, as you laughed.
“we can change the subject if you want.”
he seemed lost in thought again but before you could bring him back he spoke.
“it’s ok. i was in love once and it ended badly. end of story.” he shrugged again, looking a little defeated.
“why did you break up?”
“she was getting harassed, threatened too, by our ‘fans’. she broke up with me ‘cause she couldn't deal with it anymore, and i get it… i think. i decided to avoid serious relationships since then.”
“i made a similar decision after my last relationship.”
“so no more dating for you?”
“nope. not until i’m satisfied with where i am in my career.” he hummed in response, “do you have a specific goal in mind? like sell 'x' amount of albums, or go on tour, before you’ll be satisfied?”
you thought about it for a moment, “no not really…”
“so how will you know?” it was his turn to tease you now.
“are you seriously criticizing the logic behind my decision? mister ‘one heartbreak and i became a whore’?”
he gasped, like you knew he would, “how dare you! i’ve had enough, get ready to face the consequences of your words!” he charged forward and started tickling you until you could barely breath and were laughing uncontrollably.
“stop! stop! i surrender, i take it back, you’re not a whore.” you said in between laughs holding up your hands, as he let you breath, laughing too.
neither of you said anything for a minute as you settled next to each other, still chuckling, the silence was comfortable but you didn’t want the conversation to end just yet, not when you felt like you finally caught a glimpse of who he really was.
you looked up at him, catching him already examining your features, but he didn’t look away. you felt your face heat up, still you kept his gaze.
he was leaning in closer, shit shit shit what’s going on, and you weren’t moving away??
your shoulders bumped and your eyes darted back and forth from his own to his lips who seemed impossibly close to yours now, were his eyes always this pretty? they looked unreal, mesmerizing, like you could drown in them, like you would willingly drown in them if he let you. he stopped, his breath fanning on your skin, his eyes were glued to your lips, you couldn’t think straight anymore.
maybe you were okay with what was happening.
maybe you wanted it.
maybe you had wanted it for a long time.
suddenly the door swung open and you were brought back to reality.
a girl appeared, an ipad in hands, and if looks could kill, you’d be 6 feet deep. she rolled her eyes directly at you.
“’toru, they’re waiting for you.”
he sighed and fell back against the sofa, running a hand over his face. “i’ll be right there, wait outside. and i told you to stop calling me that.”
“no, you have to come right now.” she stood her ground, staring daggers at you.
oh, got it. you were probably gonna regret doing this later, but you didn’t care right now.
you placed your hand on gojo’s thigh, making sure that she could see, and his eyes shot open.
you checked the look on her face before looking at him through your eyelashes, pouting your lips slightly “but… i haven’t properly thanked you yet, ‘toru.”
he short-circuited, you thought, because he stopped moving. still you wouldn’t back down.
you traced your fingers up his thigh, in a walking motion, and hooked them on one of his belt loops before whispering loud enough for her to hear.
“guess we’ll have to continue this another time.”
your eyes were glued on gojo’s shocked expression, but you knew she was fuming.
you waited for a moment before finally adding, “you can go.”, breaking the spell he was under.
“you sure?” he visibly gulped.
you nodded in response, and he unwillingly got up. as he was walking through the door he glanced back and caught you watching him leave. you heard him laugh in the hallway.
“fuck.” you whispered, once they were far enough to not hear.
[tldr : gojo gives you two gifts, one dumb and one thoughtful, in his own way, you get closer but a girl interrupts you and you toy with gojo a little to piss her off.]

fun facts
y/n has pretty bad decision making skills
in the interview, from a year ago, y/n explained that her song 'before you can' represented her fear of commitment (shocker!) and she told a few anecdotes about her childhood and her silly little dating life
when y/n told nobara, she thought it was hilarious but stupid
author's note
my editing skills are deplorable :o

the president of the decorating committee, keqing, makes her way to the front of the classroom. "okay, everyone. let's start planning on what we're going to do for this year's school festival. by the end of today's class, we should have our application submitted to the student council. any ideas?"
yoimiya excitedly proposes, "what about a maid café?" keqing smiles, "i don't know if the guys would be up to wearing those outfits." yoimiya pouts in response, "they could be butlers!" hu tao sputters, "that's boring. you know what we should do? a haunted house."
xingqiu glances at the brunette, "that does seem like your forte, hu tao." ayaka coyly suggests with a tilt of her head, "maybe a drama performance?" keqing uses a piece of chalk to list down the possible options on the board. yoimiya yelps, "why didn't you add the maid café idea!?"
scaramouche is sitting a seat away from you, watching you scribble little drawings on the corner of your desk. his pretty blue eyes deeply analyze your actions. everything you do is just so fascinating to him. "president, could you help us out?" keqing queries.
heizou nudges scaramouche, although it isn't enough to snap the male out of his trance. he hisses, "hey, scaramouche!" scaramouche mumbles, "drawing..."
keqing repeats in a confused state, "drawing?" heizou nervously laughs, "ha-ha, i think what he's trying to say is... ah, maybe we should do an art exhibition!" keqing hums, "interesting intake. any opposing of that idea?"
scaramouche finally gets back to the present and looks at heizou, who gives him a deadpan expression. "i just saved your ass! what caught your attention?" heizou whisper-shouts, scolding his friend. scaramouche glances back at you, where you still seem to be occupied with drawing little animals.
heizou teases him in a lilting tone, "of course."
after heizou leans towards his left side to tell xiao about it, the bell signals the end of class. scaramouche immediately stands up from his desk and goes to where venti's sitting. "hey, give me my headphones. you borrowed them long enough," scaramouche seethes. venti exclaims in return, "no way, the sound quality is so nice!"
the shorter male snatches the headset from him and venti frowns. "fine, i already know it's because you can't last a single day without listening to their drum solos." venti's playful whisper throws scaramouche off.
his complexion goes beet red as he places the headphones around his neck. kazuha lightly laughs, "your face says it all, scaramouche." scaramouche is bound to throw another snarky insult while leaving for the next class, however a tug at his sleeve stops him short.
he turns his head and raises his brow in confusion. "oh, (name). do you need anything?" scaramouche queries, trying to avoid your gaze as discreetly as possible. in the background, venti mocks him, "do you need anything?" scaramouche could clearly hear xiao, heizou and aether quietly chuckling.
"well, no, but yun jin told me to give this to you since she wants you to hear how much potential our band has." you hold out a cd in its case, covered in mostly black but with the unmistakenable, classic and iconic dark blue 5O5 graphics.
"she figured that if you did research on some of our past releases, you wouldn't have found our unreleased songs unless you went to our live performance. these are our most recents and we hope that it meets your standards," you politely say, arm sore from sticking out with the cd in your hand.
you didn't percieve the way he clenched his jaw in excitement, the way sparkles appeared in his eyes and the way he pursed his lips to restrain himself from smiling. "i'll... i'll see if i have any time to listen to it after class," scaramouche mutters. he ends up taking it from you and speed-walking out of the classroom.
xiao steps forward and gives you a few pats on the shoulder. "don't worry, that's his way of thanking you."
