Fyodor Will Be Fine
Back to writin' this. Assuming that the anime is following hte manga's path (likely), Fyodor's gonna be fine y'all. Eventually.
I mean, first and most obviously, we still don't know Fyodor's ability. That's kinda important lol and set up as a major mystery.
Fyodor as Jesus
Fyodor's last words are "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" aka Jesus' last words (or among his last words). I mean, think about what happens after Jesus dies. It's kinda the whole basis of Christianity.
But there's another layer to the whole Fyodor=Jesus thing. Actually, a couple layers. See, Dostoyevsky was himself very Christian, as much theologian as novelist. So the comparison very much makes sense.
Jesus is the Son of God in Christianity... and Fyodor? He's also the son of God.
God is a Character
This God figure Fyodor references is probably an actual person, and God is probably Tolstoy. I'm sorry but there is 0 chance we are getting Dostoyevsky and a whole host of Russian novelists but not Tolstoy who could have "War and Peace" as his ability. Not to mention... the set up is kinda perfect?
Tolstoy's three novels are War and Peace, Anna Karenina, and... Resurrection. Gee I wonder what his ability might be and how that ties into Fyodor (it's also surely not unheard of for Asagiri to use multiple literary references in an ability).
What is Tolstoy's relationship with Fyodor? Probably a parent-child one. I'd say it's extremely obvious, actually, that parent/child relationships are a main theme of this arc, even if the parental-child relationships are not actual flesh and blood.
Gogol-Fyodor parallel Chuuya-Dazai, Kunikida-Dazai, Tecchou-Jouno, and Atsushi-Akutagawa. All of these pairings also have parental figures (Mori, Fukuzawa, Fukichi, Dazai) except Gogol-Fyodor, who are themselves parental figures to Sigma. I highly doubt Fyogol is the exception, though.
Tumblr media
If there is no god, then I am god
Anyways if Tolstoy is introduced, it would kinda be perfect to have him thematically in this role of family. Because the real life Tolstoy was actually terrible to his family despite his altruistic, idealistic pacifism that directly influenced Gandhi (with whom he corresponded). And also because he wrote one of the most famous opening lines in all of literature which would kinda sorta address all the pseudo-parental relationships in the entire story:
Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way
It fits super perfectly.

Breaking Bot (read more for some rambling about mega man fully charged)
Mega Man Fully Charged has been on my mind again lately, which made me realize that there's literally a robot named Chemistryman who worked as a chemistry teacher. Not using him as a Walter White stand-in would be a criminal offense.
I'll have to admit I started getting back into Fully Charged again after seeing some asshole on twitter complain about the character design for the hundredth time. I just can't stand that kind of negativity. I swear to god, Fully Charged is like the Sonic Boom of the Mega Man franchise. Personally, I really enjoy the FC designs. I've probably said this before, but I feel like the redesigns give some of the more forgettable robot masters way more character. Like, do I care for Classic Drillman from Mega Man 4? I mean, yeah, I do, but I wouldn't care as much if it wasn't for his Fully Charged incarnation.
I also really enjoy most of the original robot masters. I already talked plenty about Blastowoman and why I love her so much, but I want to talk about the others this time.
Take for example Chemistryman. Comparisons to Walter White out of the way, I feel like his character was a really fun idea. God knows I had teachers who put me to sleep back in the day. For me, it wasn't chemistry though, it was my economics teacher. I always compared her to a story teller at a Christmas market who would read children stories out of her big fairy tale book. Only that in reality, it was stuff like the minimization/maximization principle. Most of my notes for that class were incomprehensible chicken scratch, because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. In the end, I slept through like half her classes, lol. But I gotta say that I still always got a B or higher in the end. Somehow. I thank god every day that I never have to step foot in a school again.
I really wish Chemistryman got a little more time to shine though. Two episodes is just way too little. I would gladly take three more episodes with him over those gross Gutsman episodes. I know I love talking about wasted potential with this show, but I wish there was an episode that focused on Chemistryman outside of the school setting. I get that his whole character is "boring, bitter teacher", but I'd really like to see what he gets up to when he's not trying to force children to listen to his chemistry lectures. Like having Aki try to talk him into going into retirement for good. And then he tries to find hobbies for him so that he doesn't bore himself to death. I can see him getting into building model ships or something like that, lol.
Now that I'm already writing up a storm again, I might as well talk about some other headcanons I have about the FC bots. Since Woodman was in sleep mode for 30 years after the war ended (I don't know where I got that number from. I rewatched his debut episode, but the exact number doesn't appear anywhere. Oh well, let's just pretend this is canon, even if it isn't.) we got kind of a Shadow the Hedgehog type situation on our hands. All of his friends and family got to live their lives in this new, peaceful world of harmony between robots and humans, while Woodman spent 30 years powered down in a bush or something. Completely forgotten about. Like, why didn't they go look for him after the war ended? I don't think Aki and Suna wandered that far into the forest for their school assignment. If you really think about Woodmans back story for a moment, you realize how fucked up it actually is.Ā
Now my explanation for this goes into heavy heavy headcanon territory. When Suna calls the principal about Woodman, he warns her that Woodman is dangerous and to get away from him immediately. Now why would he say that? The principal also calls him "ruthless" in that same explanation. What I think happened back then was that Woodman actually planned to assassinate the human armies leader. (Possibly Sgt. Night?) The leader of the robots caught wind of his plan and put him into sleep mode himself, since he and Dr. Light were on the brink of finding a way to end the war peacefully. In my mind, this leader is the FC version of Swordman. Don't ask me why, he was just the first guy I thought of. And then it just stuck.
I know this makes Woodmans back story even more fucked up, but I just love putting my favorite blorbos through hardship. Don't even ask me about my headcanons for Drillman. They'd actually put me in prison.
Now all this culminates after Woodman is reactivated by Suna and Aki. Finding himself alienated from all his former friends and comrades (Maybe the other Mega Man 2 robot masters?), what was he supposed to do? He couldn't spend the rest of his life isolated (and homeless) in the forest, could he? And this is where season 2 could have delivered. But I'm done whining about that. If Capcom doesn't deliver, I gotta write my own season 2. Simple as that.
Anyway, getting back to Chemistryman, since he's pretty old, I imagine that he was already working as a teacher when Woodman was still around. Maybe he even was his teacher at some point.
And since I love having my favorite characters interact, I also thought of a scenario where Drillman wanders into the forest out of frustration over his miserable life, only to meet Woodman by coincidence. In the end, Woodman helps him work through his daddy issues and his body dysmorphia, while Drillman helps Woodman reintegrate and manage this (for him) completely new world of peace. Another great headcanon of mine is that Chemistryman is actually Acidmans father. Just because I think it would be funny. And as Fully Charged has confirmed: robots in that universe do indeed have parents. (Flashback to the time I drew Dr. Light beating the shit out of Drillman's father)
Speaking of Drillman.... For being one of my favorite Mega Man characters of all time, I haven't drawn him nearly enough. That will probably be my next project.
This might also be a great time to tell you that I've never watched Breaking Bad before, lol. Everything I know about it comes from RTGame's Stardew Valley playthrough and the RTVS Half Life parody.
Sorry for all the yapping. But if I don't talk about robots at least once a day, I might die. This is a serious condition.

"Like this jewel, may my son's eyes never cloud with sadness"
ā€”EPISODE 7 SPOILERSā€”
(I don't think the fanart itself counts as a spoiler, since it's a headcanon, but said headcanon is based off events form episode 7 so please be careful if you are not up to date with the story)
I really like the headcanon (and theory, in a way) of Silver being the prince of a kingdom that was once an enemy of Briar Valley. Maybe something like Lilia himself being involved in Silver's biological parents' d*aths. You see, it seems that the relationship between humans and fae is still complicated, given Sebek's thoughts and what he tells about his mother's family still not approving the marriage between a human and a fae, so the fact there was a war not so long ago is not that impossible.
Lilia states he found Silver in the forest and then took care of him, but he may not be saying the whole truth. Yes, he may have found Silver in the forest, but why was a human baby there in the first place? More so in a forest of a fae kingdom. I don't think Lilia k*lled Silver's parents and then took the baby with him out of guilt, but maybe someone put Silver in the forest in hopes of (at least) a human soldier from Silver's kingdom finding and taking care of him, all of this in the middle of a war in which (most likely) Lilia participated (given it IS canon that Lilia was a war general).
In episode 7, when Silver finds the ring, he says it looks like something someone from royalty would have, and then Lilia explains it belongs to Silver. Also, Silver's character description states that he has a "princely aura" and some characters even comment the same. Most probably Silver is a prince, but we can't know if his kingdom has fallen or if it was an enemy of Briar Valley.
In any case, following the headcanon/theory, if Silver finds out about the truth he would be completely devastated (my poor child šŸ˜). Imagine finding out your adoptive father was almost directly involved in your biological parents' d*ath and ALSO you're the prince of a kingdom DESTROYED by the country you grew up in and it's last hope to re-emerge. And that would make him (technically) get in another war against Malleus, Sebek and (if he's not d*ad lol) Lilia.
Then he has two (2) options:
1) Sacrificing his feelings and taking the responsibility of assuming the throne of his kingdom, to help the people left there, making him an enemy of Briar Valley, as much as it hurts him (the drawing at the beginning of the post).
2) Reject the throne to fight by Malleus' side, fulfilling the duty he was trained for alongside Sebek, protecting his friends and family, although he knows there's many people who need him in his kingdom.
I honestly can see him in both situations. See, he is described more as a hero but he still is a student in NRC. We've seen Kalim and Rook (both of them also have light magic and aren't based off villains) have questionable attitudes sometimes, and we will probably see Silver doing the same too.
We can also have a happy ending for everyone: Silver takes the throne but he manages to make a peace treaty between his kingdom and Briar Valley, and now both kingdoms are allies and everyone lives happily ever after. Which is probable since this is, after all, a Disney game. But I want angst so I drew the first route āœŒšŸ»
ā€”End of spoilers hereā€”
I finished this almost a month ago, but I've been waiting to post it closer to Silver's birthday in case I didn't have anything else finished. It's been a while since I've posted something, and I couldn't make anything for many birthdays because of personal matters, but I found the inspiration to draw again and now I'm working on some stuff. Hopefully I'll finish what I'm working on right now for Silver's birthday, since he is one of my favorite characters.

Starting this off by saying i LOVE dd2, i think the gameplay is super fun and a major upgrade, but reynauld's shrines just made me give up in expecting a story rewrite that doesn't make me throw my hands up in confusion lol. i'm not expecting the most complex writing on religious conflict from dd, but i really wonder why they would make him spare the warlord? his original dd1 barks mostly center the ingame equivalent of christianity which tracks, he's a crusader. claimed this victory for the church and what not. If his shrines are supposed to be his regrets, why not have it demonstrate how far his faith took him so basically just have him kill the damn guy. it's very simple character writing to do with religious conflicts of course but it would be much more inline with everything we know of 1) the crusades, historically and 2) his own writing. I think it's all due to this big move away from having these characters just seem like absolute bastards, which is really curious to me. I thought that was the appeal of them, no? And in truth. i like reynauld better as a bloodthirsty man šŸ«”
I feel like I should start off by mentioning that while I am generally negative about DD2 in my posts, I recognize it's a perfectly enjoyable game and in many ways more accessible than the original. If you want to see your blorbos in gorgeous 3D and not think too hard about story implications there's no reason why you wouldn't like it even more than DD1.
However, as you say, it's like they missed the point of the character. Reynauld's shrines should be extremely simple to write. Show an ignorant fool going off to war in hope of glory and salvation, then give us a bit of the horrors by showing this nice family man killing blameless oponents. Instead we get his dark side painted in the lightest of strokes. Oh, he felt peace in the carnage of battle (I'm sure if you don't find a way to stay focused in a medieval melee you just die). Oh, he gave mercy an (extremely evil-looking) enemy to humiliate him (which still lets him keep the moral high ground if the worst he can do to an enemy is to spare his precious life).
These are meant to be the Crusades. Where is the religious intolerance, the brutal tactics, the massacre of civilians, the armies turning against those of their own faith to raid and plunder? You don't need to go all siege of Antioch, but going by the shrines you'd think Reynauld signed up to the honorable duty to protect the land from barbarians, not to a zealot army intent on military conquest. They not only completely defanged the character, with Reynauld in particular it's a solid 10 on the yikes scale because of the real life parallels he is meant to evoke.
Why are you writing a horror setting if you can't handle something as simple as "holy wars are an entirely fucked up concept"?

Ike appreciation post! Path of Radiance Ike is such a genuine and so sweet and pure-heartedšŸ„¹he's such a rare kind of main character!
He's blunt (to the point of being considered rude) and honest in a way they don't allow many main characters to be, he makes mistakes but he always does his best to learn and apologize when he messes up! He's not dumb or oblivious! He's actually very perceptive and understanding of others, especially of Soren! He seems to be able to read Soren's emotions and quirks as much as Soren can read his! Most would assume Soren isolating himself and looking depressed is just "typical Soren" (in Titania's words lol) But Ike can see through it and can tell how much he's truly hurtingšŸ„ŗ He wants to help Soren and protect him! He knows exactly what to say when he reassures Soren when Soren's being down on himself!šŸ„¹(Ike would hate anyone who hates Soren, he is Soren's #1 defender) He loves Soren so much, they BOTH know the most about each other. Ike wants to be a good person and do good things and be there for the people he loves! He values freedom and equality!
He believes in people and the goodness in others, but when he witnesses true evil he does not hesitate to strike them down. Interestingly (or not because or how stupid most misconceptions about Ike that are spread are) unlike most would assume about Ike, he's NOT obsessed with fighting. He is not the typical fe character obsessed with fighting trope. He takes no joy in being a part of the wars and hurting others. Most of his boss conversations is him asking the enemies to retreat or surrender, and when there is no other choice, he fights. Because he has no other choice. But his first choice is to be merciful. He enjoys sparring because it makes him feel close to his late father, he says sword training helps him him and (we also know that he is desperate to prove himself and avenge his father) he wishes to become stronger to protect his family.
Ike witnesses horrors and the harsh truth of the world what war really means. By the end of radiant dawn he's SO tired. But he still makes sure that the world of Tellius is doing well and recovered before he leaves with Soren.
He trusts that they can manage peace and harmony. He believes in them all!
(If i wanted to make a true Ike appreciation post I'd just post the entire two games if i could lol)

I think it'll be interesting when RWBYJ tells everyone about the ever after, specifically Oscar/Ozpin. I think that'll be a hell of a slap in the face to those two. Imo it's pretty clear that Oz doesn't like the Brothers (his lie for his curse literally puts them in the WORST light to anyone who hears it), but isn't exactly open about it nor does he think on it much. But hearing that the 'gods' are essentially just people who got kicked out of their home would make him. Well I hesitate to say that he'd flip the fuck out, but I definitely think he wouldn't be happy at ALL. I'm sure he'd be furious while simultaneously having an existential crisis.
Frankly, Oz is just. An interesting character when it comes to his thoughts on the Brothers. He went from more or less listening to Light without question (but immediately started questioning when Salem talked to him- "Unsure of where his loyalties still lay-" he trusts Salems words but is confused about his stance on Light, perhaps afraid of questioning him), to putting them in a bad light repeatedly and more or less giving up on his task (there's far far easier ways to unite the world i.e. war- why would he deliberately make it hard on himself? He's far from stupid. He still foes his best to foster peace because why wouldn't he?). And, now, he's actively fighting his curse, and is doing so the second he got an ounce of hope.
I think why he hasn't really thought of fighting the Gods is bc a) he's still scared of them (and it makes sense, I'd be scared too) and b) he never knew that they, well, were just people. I think he'd need some convincing, but I really think he'd be happy to try his hand at giving Light a piece of his mind lol. Something tells me Oz has millennia of bottled up anger- something will eventually be the straw that broke the camels back, as even the most resilient of people can break.
Though I think the biggest issue would be the idea of teaming up with Salem. He's bitter and terrified of her, and although we don't know exactly what's happened between them since their first fight (beyond Oz spending several lives as an alcoholic, then wandering Remnant being reminded of Salem (not necessarily bc he thought every Grimm attack was her, Grimm just remind him of her)), it's entirely possible Salem has also done... something to hurt him. No one's that bitter or terrified of someone for absolutely no reason, but whatever the reason is, that'll definitely be an obstacle between him being allied with her against the Gods. Plus she also, yknow, tortured him and allowed Hazel to torture him (which Oscar took most of it, but they're in the same body).
I think that interaction would be... interesting. Especially since I really don't think Oz even is 'Ozma' anymore. Ozma is the foundations yes, but the merge changes you fundamentally. He has changed his name every lifetime (if Oz doesn't accidentally answer to the name Oscar I'll eat my left shoe), but how much of him really is Ozma anymore? Ship of theseus and all that. If he, by all accounts, isn't 'Ozma' anymore and Salem isn't aware of this, I think it'd be an interesting revelation for her. There's similarities between Oz and how he used to be, but I feel like 'Ozma' is functionally a deadname for him (Oz trans/DID allegory? /j). Especially since I think Ozma is just- not who he is anymore. He's tried living up to the name, but he can't and he knows it (the words his illusion in v9 says speaks a lot to his mental state and his opinion of himself).
God speaking of his illusion on v9, I think it's incredibly clear that what each illusion says pertains to that character in some way. And it says so so much about Ozpin and how he sees himself. It's ironic how the God of Light, associated with creation, made him, yet he thinks that all he does is destroy. He's scarily good at splitting people apart just accidentally (i.e. v6, Summer basically throwing him under the bus thus STRQ broke apart and blamed him, etc) too. Yet Salem, immortal via Lights curse, made herself through Grimm and is very good at rallying people. Dunno, fun thought there (it's why swap aus are so damn tasty with these two).
Sorry for the long ask, I just wanted to ramble in your inbox for a bit. I have many thoughts about Oz.
not. to be snarky but
To live free or die, itā€™s all the same The enemy was right, thereā€™s no reclaiming In waves of shame Weā€™re desperate to make amends But through a simple soul we lie complacentĀ  Love brings us dreams But grief makes the heart burst at the seamsĀ  As light fills my eyes Iā€™ll picture me beside her And pray that Iā€™ll inspireĀ  I promise Iā€™ll be here until the end I promise Iā€™ll be here untilā€¦ Our story has been told Til our bodies break down every door Til we find what weā€™ve been looking for
terrified sheā€™ll never forgive him and terrified of what will happen if she confronts the gods again, yes. but terrified of her?
the enemy was right. weā€™re desperate to make amends. grief makes the heart burst at the seams. iā€™ll picture me beside her. ozma isnā€™t terrified of salem; he is, explicitly, ashamed of himself and desperate to make amends and longing for her.
listen. you donā€™t have to go salem did dot dot dot something to hurt him. we KNOW exactly what she did; rejected the mandate, fought him, burned him alive. they blew up their home and killed their own kids. is this insufficiently traumatizing to explain him.
similarly i do not have to go ozma did dot dot dot something to salem: we know exactly what he did. we know why sheā€™s furious and bitter and still hurting. it is not ambiguous.
heā€™s spent the intervening centuries hiding inside a narrative where salem is the Great Evil he must defeat because the guilt he feels for deceiving and manipulating her and the grief for everything he sacrificed is so unbearable that he canā€™t touch it except through layers and layers of distortion. but itā€™s bleeding through the cracks everywhere. the infinite man tried to be a hero and is a fool who may not be worthy of forgiveness, ozpin suggests. look far enough ahead from the ending of the girl in the tower, and youā€™ll find the hero who saved her turned out to be a villain.
he hates salem. (he deserves her hatred.) this is the wrenching internal war he fights with himself day after day and life after life; the only way he can live with himself enough to function is by hating her, but the hatred is a fiction, a lie, to protect him from his fear. the truth is that he neither hates her nor deserves her hatred.
i am being intentional about calling him ozma, by the way. i am also intentional about when i call him ozpin or oz. i do not think ozma is a deadname. i donā€™t think ozma is an ideal he is trying and failing to live up to. he doesnā€™t identify himself as ozpin; he says ā€œthe professor ozpin you all met was not my first form.ā€ he dons these other identities as a maskā€”i am the combination of countless men who have spent their lives trying to protect the people of remnantā€”because he hates himself. ozma is who heā€™s running away from because he doesnā€™t think ozma has ever been enough.
that is why. salem distinguishes between ozpin and ozma the way that she does. and why she is able to differentiate between oscar and ozma even when oscar is mimicking ozpin, because ozpin is the latest in a long series of masks that ozma wears.
(ozpin is tippetarius enforcing his own exile, and thus he became the wizard. ozma is the true self imprisoned by the curse. heā€™sā€¦ named ozma for a reason.)
ā€what if you could be anyone?ā€ <- the blacksmith does not ask ruby this question because ruby needs to stop being herself in order to be happy. she offers ruby a metaphorical representation of ozmaā€™s curseā€”what if you could be anyone, slip into a like-minded soul and become that personā€”in order to guide ruby to the realization that only her true self is the right fit. this is what i like to call blunt force foreshadowing.
ozma is trying to be a thousand different heroes and salem has only ever wanted ozma. ozma then is not the same person as ozma now, but ozma is ozma is ozma. the ship of theseus is the ship of theseus, then as now. on those who enter the same rivers, ever different waters flow. read heraclitus.
the thing is. yeah. heā€™s going to snap like a brittle twig when he learns the truth about the godsā€¦ because he already knows salem is right, deep down. the enemy is right. it bleeds through even into the lost fable, which is narrated in his voice. jinnā€™s tellingā€”his tellingā€”obfuscates and twists away from salemā€™s interiority, her feelings, her motives except for the moment of her realization about the brothers: perhaps the gods were not as powerful as they seemed; she had lied to them, turned them against each other; they were fallible.
the enemy is right. he knows sheā€™s right.
hearing what the kids learned in the ever after is going to shatter the cognitive dissonance preventing him from acting on that knowledge. itā€™s going to surface ā€˜until the endā€™ but now joined to the hope he hasā€”since the end of v8ā€”that he can make amends for his cowardice and lies.
ozma apologizing to the kids and asking for a second chance to earn their trust was, uh, a practice run for ozma apologizing to salem and asking for a second chance. the fallout of the lost fable (ā€œthere was so much you hadnā€™t told us! how could you think that was okay!ā€ and ā€œi gave my life to you because you gave me a place in this world; i thought i was finally doing some good!ā€) is a reflection of salemā€™s distress. the narrative is on her side. because. he lied to manipulate her and grievously betrayed her trust. in exactly the same way he did to the kids.

To be honest, I feel uncomfortable that Transformers fandom has a tendency to want Optimus only to be morally flawless.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you have to love all OP.
I fully understand with all my respect if you only want that kind of Optimus who is morally flawless.
The problem is the overcriticism of him who does not fit that standards of fandom.
Optimus is like the icon of Transformers. so he's in everyone's head like a soup with the images of all continuities rather than being thought of separately in each universes.
And if some Optimus in a particular continuity is being morally gray or making bad choices, people simply just read the wiki or read posts about that or ignore about the context why he made such choices then overcriticize him with confidence like he's the only one who's done wrong/bad things in the story.
And that'sā€¦ that's just so weird. I've seen so many posts that overcriticizing him and getting self-righteous. They seem to feel themselves likeā€¦ morally neat when they criticize Optimus. "I'm a very smart and analytical person who can spot these flaws even this overrated moral icon character!"
and... idk why but they are also obsessed with collecting Optimus' little faults and saying that Optimus should beg Megatron for forgiveness for THAT.
It's really weird considering Megatron also has done so many wrong things and they're always throwing same shits at each other in stories, but beyond that, above all, THEY ARE ALREADY PAST THAT STAGE!!
The two are no longer care about minor disputes in the past!!!
Megatron just wants to make Optimus know that his way is wrong, you little blindĀ idealist, and Optimus is like "please just stop that madness and genocide and colonization. Universe hates us for this."
Do you really think that if Optimus apologizes to Megatron for the little things he did wrong in the past, the war will end just magically? AND DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT OPTIMUS NEVER TRIED SUCH THINGS DURING THE WAR?
I mean, if you really love and understand Optimus Prime, you should know that Optimus would have tried all the nonviolent ways to end the war arleady!
The initial feud between the two is no longer a matter now!The war between of them is now nothing but a huge ideological conflict!!
They are just divorced old men with a long history, not a fresh couple just started meeting each other!!!!!!
I just can't understand unless they enjoy criticizing the character who is considered as a moral icon to self-righteous themselves. I would fully understand if they criticize other characters equally, but no, they always have a huge double standard just for Optimus.
if they are all just nothing but Optimus haters, I still don't like it, but I could understand but this is also actually happening in Optimus fandom. PleaseĀ show some love for him. at least don't try to prove your morality through him. please.
Oh I just read through what I wrote and I can see my anger is being expressed like a gradation LMAO I'm so sorry lol
anyway, so, yeah, please just see him as the same way like when you see the other common characters.
If you don't think of him as an overrated moral icon, or someone who should always be right, or a vessel of some kind of old ideologies (somehow peopleĀ think that objectively correct ideologies are boring and outdated), but a person, you can enjoy the Transformers stories so much deeper. a low understanding of him will prevent you from enjoying thoes stories a lot. LikeĀ those ppl who blame Optimus just for cooperating with Ghost, withoutĀ thinking about the consequences of not cooperating with them.
btw, the reason why I deleted my old tumblr was largely because of this. Back then, IDW Megatron was showing his redemption arc, and IDW Optimus was making mistakes to keep the peace he had barely achieved. andā€¦ yeah, I think you would know what was happend in Tumblr at the time. I left the fandom for 4 years because of that. The funny thing is, I didn't even know I was in love with Optimus until then. Anyone who knew me at that time would know how crazy I was about MTMTE lol

Sorry to say, but I don't think we have a chance in hell that DT would ever talk about any of his roles the way he did before Doctor Who traumatized him. He's too aware now of such things as fan wars, media speculation, rp shipping, stalking, phone bugging and such. He's battle scarred, he's seen/experienced it all, and he is used to weighing his words very carefully both for his own peace of mind and for marketing reasons. He could only do it when tbh no one cared, he's too much of a private citizen who hates "argy-bargy" to say anything now deeper than joking around and very general things. Tbh I'm always impressed at the many ways he manages to wittily and eloquently not say anything at all lol.
That said, he does go to the trenches a bit for the trans stuff lately, so who knows, his period of self-imposed conflict aversion might have been just that, a period.
completely agree heā€™ll never say anything to favor one interpretation over another but I think with the right interviewer we can get him to actually talk about the characters and scenes. Did you all see the pride.com interview and how different they both were with a gay interviewer who actually watched the show and has questions about it?

Chasing Clouds - Prologue
Tumblr media
ā†’ Summary: Namjoon made the decision early on in his training that he would abstain from dating or entering any form of relationship while in active duty. Heā€™s determined not to burden anyone with the likelihood of being to be notified of his death or causing pain to someone he loves by his long absence. Ironically, he found himself drawn to you, a doctor who challenges his beliefs and contradicts everything he upholds.
ā†  knj x f.reader | 1k words | 18+ ā†  genre: military au, angst (future chapters include: doctor au, s2l, slow burn, smut, fluff, romance
ā†’ Warnings: Read at your own risk! war, ptsd, bombs, guns, violence, injury, death, blood, (future warnings include: murder, use of other weapons, smut warnings)
ā†’ Author Note: my favorite kdrama of all time is descendants of the sun and in honor of my fifth rewatch, I wanted to write this series! it takes place about a year after the show ends, just so you know the timeline :) i would recommend that you watch it first, but itā€™s not a requirement - it just gives insight to some of the character's personalities (plus iā€™ll take any opportunity to tell people to watch it lol)
Tumblr media
Prologue
MAY 02 - 0340 - USTANA
The darkness of the night feels heavy; its weight is unsettling as the soldiers start their most recent assignment. Namjoon has an odd feeling in the pit of his stomach. Itā€™s twisting and turning like never before. He isnā€™t usually nervous before missions; he hasnā€™t had a reason to be. He's always followed through and completed his tasks without issue; which is one of the main reasons everyone has such high hopes for him.
Tonight is different though, and he knows the others have the same odd feeling as they all take off their dog tags and set them aside. If captured, they need to remain anonymous.
"You guys know the drill. Once we locate the hostage, everyone will need to be attentive because it'll only be a matter of time until the whole building knows it's been breached. This isn't another exercise boys, lives are at stake here,ā€ Big Boss, Captain Yoo Shijin, says to his team of special force soldiers.
"As this is the last mission of your training term, I expect nothing but excellence in your delivery of the hostage. We've orchestrated the specifics of this mission in such a way that will prove whether or not you are cut for these types of diplomatic high-profile assignments," Wolf, Big Bosses best friend Seo Daeyoung, adds.
"Whatever you do, don't compromise the mission. Donā€™t use your birth name to communicate, use the nicknames you were given, as well as ours," Big Boss hollers, finishing off their short speech as the back door of the aircraft opened.
Ustana, the country theyā€™re secretly entering, is known for its drug and weapons problem due to its corrupt government. If things end badly, it will reflect on Korea. Thatā€™s why the teamā€™s identities and nationalities canā€™t be known.
The plane jolts, narrowly missing the projectile that was aimed at the steel bird in the sky, solidifying the seriousness of the current situation below.
Namjoon repeats his orders to keep some level of sanity and peace of mind as he descended from the sky with the rest of the Puppy Pack, the soldiers in training to join the Alpha Team.
ā€˜Find the hostage. Mislead the enemy. Return home. Stay alive.ā€™
Once on the ground, he waits for the signal to ambush the guards watching the doors and proceeds to lead the group. Shijin and Daeyoung follow behind with the rest of the soldiers at their feet.
Daeyoung nods, giving Namjoon the go-ahead to align his gun on the enemy. This is the part he often tunes out. You need to be able to turn the switch, as he calls it, on and off with this kind of job.
He aligns his scope with the target and quickly pulls the trigger before moving to the others nearby before they even realize whatā€™s happening. He watches as their bodies drop, waiting to see if anyone else runs into the room, but itā€™s quiet. Almost too quietā€¦
"Wildcat, All clear,ā€ he says into his mic, letting the others know their access point is now safe for entry.
ā€˜Find the hostage. Mislead the enemy. Return home. Stay alive.ā€™
It takes less than two minutes for the group of highly trained soldiers to find the hostage. Heā€™s badly beaten and unconscious, his body hunched over in the chair heā€™s tied to.
Wolf keeps watch by the side door while the team works on releasing the man. Jihoon, another one of the Puppy Pack trainees, helps Namjoon carry the man back to where the transport aircraft is waiting.
ā€œI donā€™t want to jinx anything, but that was almost too easyā€¦ā€ Jihoon says, looking at Namjoon.
He agrees. Somethingā€™s not adding upā€¦
He peers through the open door of the transport helicopter, gazing outside. Theyā€™re waiting for the last of the group to make their way onto the craft, and he just wants to ensure that everyone is safe. His shoulders relax when he can see their dark forms exiting the building.
Namjoon turns to look back at Jihoon, ā€œI see them, theyā€™re-ā€ his sentence ends unfinished.
ā€œWhat is that?ā€ he says, taking a step closer to the unconscious hostage that Jihoon and a combat medic are helping. He points out the red blinking light on the manā€™s neck. Itā€™s not a laser from a gun. Itā€™s coming from inside his skin. ā€˜Itā€™s almost as ifā€¦ā€™ His thought trails off. ā€œRun!ā€ he screams, though itā€™s too late.
The bombā€™s detonation rips through the helicopter, unleashing an intense burst of energy. In an instant, the searing shockwave propels fragments of debris outward. The air vibrates with a deafening roar, drowning out all other sounds.
The chaotic energy tears apart surroundings and scatters the remnants in all directions. A plume of smoke and fire billows upward, consuming everything in its path. The impact leaves a scene of devastation, marked by shattered glass, twisted metal, and a sense of raw destruction.
Namjoon feels the force of the explosion in his chest and is thrown far from his comrade, and debris crashes around him. His head bounces against the ground, and the ringing in his ears is so intense, he believes he will never hear again.
Jihoon is several feet away. His eyes are frozen open, and blood trails down his face from the head injury he suffers from. Namjoon reaches for his lifeless friend but itā€™s all too much.
Then, everything fades to black.

Do you think Matt and Emma had a reason to not understand the chocking scene after reading the scripts? I never understood why the were so shocked tbh. Thanks in advance if you answer this.
i can understand being confused reading it in the script. there's something that they cut out entirely from the whole show that was really weird but would have made the scene make at least a bit more sense. but i would say there are more around that choking scene that paint it in a bit of a different light, not much though.
i have always explained that scene as "daemon does not know how to mourn in a healthy or safe at all." i could write a whole thesis on it, but i'll simply point to how he reacted with the goldcloaks when baelon/aemma died, how he was distant from his daughters when laena died, and how he reacts when viserys and visenya die on the same day.
no one wants to hear that apparently, but people do not process loss in healthy ways, especially not someone who has exhibited himself to be violent on multiple occasions. yes, it's never to rhaenyra, but he is a violent man by nature. i would point to the fear that aegon is flying to kill them, assassins might be sneaking in to slit their throats, as genuine fears that he doesn't believe rhaenyra is taking seriously.
you can see this in the cut scene with jace and rhaenyra while daemon is raging and training soldiers. that scene shows that rhaenyra is also not thinking straight either, because jace also sees the risk that is at their doorstep. to them, war has already started. to rhaenyra, she's still tryng to prevent it. in her eyes, her father, who ruled during a peaceful period in westeros, just died and she is immediately being plunged into a period of war as a queen that she knows most people don't want.
people really want to see that choke as evidence of some abusive relationship, nothing we see on scene proves that. in fact, multiple scenes disprove that completely. but people really love to hate daemon and that scene gave them a lot of ammo, so i don't normally get into these rants. i normally just shit post and people can think what they want.
edit: lol immediately getting someone kicking down the door to say iā€™m wrong. and did i ever think about rhaenyra????
sorry but one of the first scene we get of daemon is him killing and maiming the people of the city without much thought. a violent person will be violent. saying ā€œbeing violent is one step closer to murderā€ is silly when the character has killed multiple people including his own wife.
this is a fictional character, i think people think that i am treating daemon like heā€™s real. heā€™s not. his actions donā€™t need to be diagnosable. based on the text, he does not have a history of abuse. but he is violent.
iā€™m treating him like a character and analyzing him based on what we see, you are treating him like a person and analyzing him based on real world anecdotal knowledge.
and for that reason anon is now shut off, if you want to say something say it on your account so i can block you properly!

I saw a post of yours saying you'd accept prompts for the reader character from Honeymoon, and while I don't have one yet I was wondering if while writing Honeymoon, did a particular name/coined nickname come to mind to you for the character? Or were there generally any side thoughts that came to mind like little headcanons that you couldn't get into the work?
(I know you've gotten a lot of asks about Honeymoon lately so I'm sorry if you're getting tired of getting asks about it specifically šŸ« )
Tumblr media
Oh I never tire of it, in fact the more yā€™all ask the more I go from it being perhaps one of the most solitary pieces Iā€™ve ever written to finally having a little more of a concept behind it. So it helps me start thinking up plot. >And Iā€™d welcome all the suggestions!!<
I was captivated by the wholesome salaciousness of a next morning walk with Elvis after the wedding night and how the whole world would be invested in it,. That alone drove that fic, very isolated. If youā€™ve ever been to a good ole fashioned southern Baptist wedding you know the tittering blushiness of what everyone knowing ā€œwhatā€™s gonna happen to you tonight.ā€ So I was thinking of that but magnified by global interest and Elvisā€™ carefully crafted image of his perfect little lady.
SOOOOā€¦.
First off, no, Iā€™ve no nickname in particular, which honestly now Iā€™m realizing that would be a lovely way to keep it a reader fic but have a little name for her. Iā€™d want it something soft and sweet like Bunny or Buttercup, Honey Bunch, Schooby Doo or something similarly saccharine. Elvisey.
Now as for plot, much of what I mightā€™ve done back when I wrote it has now been written by others, and written very well. So Iā€™ve started to simmer on something else, maybe regarding the Governorā€™s daughter at the time he came home, except not Ann the eldest who he flirted with and maintained a friendship with, but rather a baby sister? Someone far too young when he first came back yet was star struck and dreamy over him in 1960. But Honeymoon and any of its new surrounding fics would be in the late 60ā€™s and perhaps she ends up the bride. Iā€™m really intrigued about exploring two things:
1. Elvis marrying a sweet little baby belle to spare her reputation after a bit of his foolinā€™ got her name gnarled up with his and shenagins that never did go as far as the papers say, but sheā€™s a bit ruined all the same in her fatherā€™s circles. So perhaps outta respect for her father and the appeals of her older sister to help somehow and his almost mystically idealistic appreciation for rewarding virtue and defending the innocent, he marrys her to save her good name. And dear me, sheā€™s so in love with him, sheā€™d do anything for him and heā€™s terribly nervous that heā€™s not cut out for marriage but heā€™s trying and goodness me it is fun to play house with someone so sublime.
All this is just me spit balling.
2. I want more of Elvis actually getting commissioned as a agent or ambassador or something of that nature for once, the dear man so wanted to be of use to his country and sure, maybe his new posting isnā€™t what he expected without much gun fighting and need for karate kicks but his his career was lacking anyway and his helpful little wife knows this world well and is an immense help and assures him that his smile alone could bring world peace. Germany again, perhaps? Cold War shennagins? Middle East? Where would yā€™all like to send him?
Does this inspire any thoughts? Opinions? Thatā€™s what Iā€™m stewing on so far though itā€™s not sure enough for me to have the vision for a scene I can write out.
Thank you again for asking and sorry for the way Iā€™ve just word vomited lol.
Xoxo

Thoughts on Obito?
Sorry if this is too long lol, I just really like him and I despise how he's misunderstood
Obito is actually my second favorite character. Even when I didn't know he was Tobi/Madara disguise yet, when I watched Kakashi past, I grew fond of Obito immediately.
First of all, what I don't like is that he's reduced to a "simp" by the fandom. It's like, Obito is really misunderstood, for me, Obito is brillant, well-written. For me, he has even more depth and matters more than other popular characters (?)
But well, Obito was a child soldier, a 13/12 year old kid in the middle of an ongoing war. He was ostracized for being below the standards of the Uchiha clan, he acknowledged this, calling himself "the black sheep of the Uchiha", he always got surpassed by others and had no family but team Minato.. where Kakashi didn't even respect him until he was in the middle of dying, and always turned him down and.. Obito grandma was a filler.
And then.. half of his body gets mutilated, he has no leg, no eye, no face, no arm, he got CRUSHED during a mission against the opponets of the village he wanted to protect, while saving his comrades but he gets "rescued" and sewed by Madara, Madara tells him the shinobi world is too rotten, corrupted and since it won't change ā€” it must be destroyed, and that he'll realize soon. He tells Obito he won't be capable of being a ninja in his state, but Obito, but he still has hope, despite being in such gruesome situation. Obito doesn't believe him, he spends most of his time thinking about his team while he recovers (which was incredibly painful and discomforting..people tend to ignore that, like, Obito really suffered during the time he was kidnapped by Madara), desperately wanting to see his team again, they give him the strength to recover, to do his absolute best! And then he does get the chance and goes back to see his team after a long time of being "trapped", of struggling, of the whole process he went through. But? It was for nothing. He watches one of the only persons who believed in him, kill herself with Kakashi's attack (which was a technique perfected by having Obito's sharingan) the guy he gave his life for, and she does it for Konoha, for what she was taught was right, that she was nothing more than a tool (and no one will remember her sacrifice, the village won't, but Kakashi and Minato, who dies later.)
Obito was destroyed mentally and physically, noticing Madara was right, but also because everything he went through, he says that he's living a horrible nightmare, and the horrible nightmare is the shinobi world. Rin, and everything he went through, the war, Sakumo, his own "death", etc made him completely notice the reality of Madara words and the system. The system it's corrupt, and it wasn't going to change at all. Rin died, she died because she was taught her life wasn't as important as the village, why? Because of Konoha fascist regime, and like it manipulated Rin, it was manipulating every child soldier and pretty much every generation (haven't seen it change yet lol) and if that system never changed, there would never be peace (it never changed during Obito whole life, the corrupted system never changed, Obito saw this happen his whole life. Over and over)
All of this happened because of the shinobi system, the will of the fire, and he began realizing it. And how was he? His body was mutilated, his love interest died, and a person close to him killed her, where was his teacher? Nowhere to be seen, just like when he "died", he was kidnapped, Madara promises him a better "world" if he comes back to him. He had just lost everything. He sees nothing but cruelty through his whole damned life, why? Because of the shinobi system, so he reveals against it. That's what I really like. Rin was just a catalyst to Obito view of the shinobi system and world in general, and no, his actions aren't because of Rin only, because if it was that way, he'd just revive her with the Edo Tensei, besides the fact he's not in love with her anymore after those years, and his ideology about the shinobi system being corrupt started before Rin's death, it was Sakumo death too, and Minato explaining it to him. But yeah..no, he's a simp in half of the fandom's eyes, lol
I also don't think Madara "brainwashed" him or controlled him (?) enterily, Madara did chose him (stated by Zetsu) but Obito himself saw with his own eyes the fascist regime that wasn't going to change, neither end..and for what? To be reduced to a simp.
Obito was a victim, yes, but anyways, I won't defend the clan massacre that he participated in, neither the Kyuubi attack, people he murdered and the war. Anyways, I love his character. He's my favorite and always will be. :]

Eggman is pretty much fascism and unchecked capitalism in human form. He is a repersantion of it they way Sonic is the representation of freedom.
In the games we get to see glimpses of the world under Eggy's rule and it is not pretty. Even in the first game, Eggman's scrap brain zone is a polluted dystopian hellhole, smog and poison everywhere. Meanwhile green hill zone is a lush paradise full of greenery.
In Sonic CD, we can see even his own robots suffer in the bad futures. They looks broken , neglected and musty. He doesn't even care about his bots. So much for a robot kingdom šŸ¤–šŸ‘‘
Don't get me started on Forces where he fully takes over the earth and turns it into a bleak, broken hellhole and spews propaganda everywhere. Everyone is miserable. He even made a propaganda vid where he encourages people to accept his robotomy treatment and become his robot slaves to make life bearable.(Robots don't need food , water or clean air to breathe. They don't even think)
Benevolent dictatorship it is not. I don't know where people get that from.
Exactly, for it being such a prominent theme in the series, I wish more people would get the message and not dismiss it/miss the point and try to say "Eggman is good, actually". It's much more interesting to look at it for what it is, it's what makes Sonic vs Eggman and Eggman's goals compelling to me to analyze. Eggman is a great representation of the terrible and harmful things humanity can be capable of but without completely blaming the entire human race.
He portrays the dangers of fascism, damage of the environment, and the dangerous destructive lengths one can go to in greed for power and control. There's been many examples of him attempting to captilize on harmful things, carelessly tearing the planet/other planets apart in selfish endeavors, and how dystopian the world would be if he succeeded in enforcing his order. They've explored propaganda, manipulation, war, and invasion with him.
Ignoring the message of Eggman's character also downplays, softens the impact of, and dismisses the meaning of Sonic's character. He's all about freedom and the only thing he hates is oppression, Eggman is the oppressor of the story and Sonic wants to stop him, that way people can live in peace and freedom without Eggman stripping that away from them and forcing them to be and do exactly and only what he wants in the world he wants it to be alone.
It's cool because Eggman is also like an example of if you take your own personal freedom and desires too far with greed and a lust for power and control. To the point that you value it and yourself so much above all else, you want to force everyone else to comply by your rules and fulfill your desires, no matter how much they don't want it and it damages them and the world around you. Meanwhile, Sonic's just happens to benefit the world and people around him.
And in a world where Sonic wins, it stays beautiful, bright, lively and free with nature, wildlife, man, and technology coexisting in harmony and peace. In a world where Eggman wins you get the opposite where it's ugly, dark, dead, and controlled with nature and wildlife suffocated until it's dead- replaced by technology and reshaped in Eggman's selfish image and twisted idea of what a "perfect" world is, one where only he decides what it's like.
It shows through their characteristics, actions and outlook, and their impact on the world and people around them and that's so fucking neat. I don't know why people act like that stopped being a theme when, as long as it's Sonic vs Eggman, it's definitely always present. But I feel that a part of it is absolutely the way that people try to make it seem like Eggman isn't so bad and suggest the idea that maybe he's actually really progressive and wants to do good.
It's very clear that he doesn't lol. Such is obvious by the lengths he's willing to go to get what he wants, knowingly and carelessly hurting many people and even finding sadistic enjoyment in it at other times, all the while acknowledging that he's evil and saying it himself and owning it. He knows he has to create propaganda, lie, and manipulate others into getting what he wants and further his plans which also proves full awareness that what he's doing isn't innocent.
And of course the most obvious is how the world under his control is most often depicted as a dark industrial dead and polluted dystopian hellhole where all suffer, even his own creations, and he doesn't care because he's in control and gets to rule over it and turn it into everything he wants. And their suffering is just part of the idea, which he makes clear with his own words with Eggmanland in Unleashed and the Interstellar Park in Colors, in that he wants people to suffer.
There are times this isn't shown visually in a places of his creation and under his control, such as the Interstellar Park and Ego City. But guess what? There's still tons of danger and death due to attractions in the Interstellar park that he acknowledged and intended as features, and the PAs in Ego City with the propaganda and lies about the intention and "benefits" of animals in robots and the hint that he doesn't actually take criticism- all prove his real sinister intent in it.
It shows that Eggman can also pretty things up and sugarcoat them with visually beautiful creations, sweet words and promises of great things through lies and propaganda. That's scary because it can lure people in, only for them to be subjected to great horrors once they arrive, even if nobody and maybe not even themselves can see and realize it's all a lie and the cost that is their suffering at first, until it's too late and they face it in the most terrible and painful of ways.
And the truth would show visually eventually anyway, evident in Eggmanland's darker polluted setting. Even to the point of further destruction and decay, like CD bad future where even his own creations are broken down and abandoned. He'll destroy the world to build his new one yet even that will rot due to his carelessness as long as it doesn't get in the way of his own enjoyment, he'll use things up and abandon them when they no longer serve him.
In Forces he wants to burn the world so it will be "nothing but ashes, from which a glorious Eggman Empire will rise," willing to cause great damage to get it. That's why he happily blew up Sunset Heights, let Green Hill be dehydrated and die, had forests carpet bombed, and was willing to drop the sun on people. Hell, in the Join the Eggman Empire propaganda video, he promotes further ruination and pollution of the world after he's taken over as a good appealing thing.
And the real reason why is because it will push anyone that's still unwilling after all his attempted lies and propaganda to give in and accept the robotomy treatment, so they don't have to suffer in it anymore because they won't have a choice because it'll be that or die. But with it they'll also have to give up all their freedom and never be able to eat, sleep, or think ever again and Eggman will tell them "that's what we call "living the good life!"
And again, him saying that loving it is mandatory in the video proves he doesn't care how much it hurts people and how much they'll really hate it. He knows full well but doesn't care because it's not about what they want, it's all about him and what he wants and they have no choice or say, they literally have to comply or die. And fuuuck it's so good and messed up. That perfectly represents how terrible and dangerous and harmful his dictatorship is.
Besides the whole "what if he actually cared and genuinely wanted to help people and the world though" which this all clearly disproves, I also see people say they'd like to become robots so they don't think it's so bad. And it's like well fascist dictatorship doesn't suddenly become a good thing just because some of it personally aligns with your desires lol. Authoritarianism doesn't suddenly become good just because it's enforcing your personal morals and values.
I highly doubt anyone would still be saying this if they it really happened and they realized how much they'd sacrifice in it and what they'd have to go through as Eggman clearly doesn't treat his creations well, whether it's through abusing them or just leaving them to decay like those seen in CD bad future. And let's say even if was good for you personally in some way, it wouldn't be for everyone and most people would still suffer because they don't want it.
And let's say your biggest dream came true through it. It's still being enforced through Eggman's fascism and oppression and many will suffer from it and have to abide by it against their will. It's like how Eggman tried to bribe Sonic in the great Super Sonic and Super Eggman Sonic Channel story by saying he could give him a world of chili dogs, no paradise is one that is forced, no matter how pretty and appealing one tries to make it seem.
And in Eggman's case it's not just that but the fact his "paradise" is everyone else's hell, his enjoyment is everyone else's pain, his desires are the antithesis of freedom. Because he's deeply selfish and intends and revels in much of the damage and suffering he causes. It's inherently sinister, harmful, and only his twisted definition of a perfect paradise that serves only himself with his selfishness and self-centeredness that he can't and doesn't care to see past.
He's one fucked up bastard and that makes him so interesting and threatening, he's the main villain of the series for a reason. šŸ’œ It's really interesting to think about the themes he represents and the many different ways they've been portrayed and explored throughout the series and the message it sends just as much as Sonic's, I wish to see more acknowledgement and discussion of it so I try my best to bring light to it with my own contributions like this!

Chapter 1 Chapter 3
Tumblr media
"You practically sleep with it." Hermione quips.
"I didn't say I wasn't curious and I do not sleep with it." Harry argues.
The trio and you had just spent the day in Hogsmeade. You were on your way back to the castle when your girlfriend like many times before, let her curiousity get the best of her.
She had been trying to figure out who the 'Half Blood Prince' was for weeks now.
Countless of hours spent researching in the library and both of you came up with nothing.
As far as you were concerned the 'Half Blood Prince' didn't exist.
Harry swore to have happened upon the potion's book by accident, as it was in the cupboard in the classroom.
You believed him but as past events have showed, nothing is a coincidence.
This had to be apart of a bigger plot and with The Dark Lord truly back, it was only a matter of time.
You could only brace yourself for what's to come.
Your parents had been pressuring you more than ever to pledge loyalty to Voldermort and join them as Death Eaters.
This was the last thing you wanted but with their constant threats of harming Hermione if you disobeyed, they aren't leaving you with much of a choice.
You always knew you had to join them at some point but you tried your best not to think about it. It's getting increasingly difficult to ignore now that Hermione's safety is being threatened.
You hold no respect for Voldermort, and you didn't fear him. You don't agree with his methods of imposing fear in exchange for loyalty. It was a coward's way of ruling and you see no honor in it.
You had not told Hermione any of this and least of all your parents.
All you wanted was to finish school and live a peaceful life with her, but war is coming.
Only a fool would deny the inevitable.
Planning for the future now will only result in dissapointment.
Hermione breaks you out of your thoughts for a moment as she grabs your hand, intertwining your fingers.
"Are you alright?" She asks genuine concern in her expression.
You only nod and give her a half smile. You weren't exactly lying, you were okay as long as you were with Hermione.
With her you feel you could overcome anything.
Although, there is no telling how far your parents will go to test that.
The trio continued arguing over the true identity of the 'Half Blood Prince' and you could hear pieces of the conversation but was ultimately too preoccupied with your thoughts to contribute.
You only properly took notice of your surroundings when you entered The Three Broomsticks. You walked with Hermione and took the seat next to her.
It was then you spotted him.
Draco, heading out the door.
He glances at you and you stood up almost reflexively.
"Draco!" You call out, hoping he would finally give you the time of day. You haven't properly spoken to him in weeks.
To your dismay, he meets your gaze but doesn't respond. He turns around and walks out the door.
You stood unsure if you should go after him. Hermione grabs your arm and offers you a sympathetic look. You decide to just sit back down next to her.
She's still holding your arm and with her other hand she started massaging your shoulder, at an attempt to comfort you.
You try your best not to worry about Draco in this moment and just enjoy time spent with your girlfriend and her friends.
It was going fine and Hermione even made you laugh when she chugged down her butterbeer which resulted in a foam mustache above her lip.
Ron had initially reached over to wipe her lip but hesitated once he remembered you were there.
The moment was rather awkward, but the attention was quickly taken off you when Harry suddenly calls Professor Slughorn over.
Your face contorts in genuine confusion and you quickly glanced over at Hermione, the same perplexed look on her face. Ron seemed just as lost.
Harry started exchanging pleasantries with the professor as if they were old friends. The 3 of you merely sat there silently and listened.
At some point the professor gestures obnoxiously with a full cup in his hand, naturally spilling a portion of his drink all over Hermione's lap.
"All hands on deck Granger" He merely quips, slurring his words.
You were annoyed but decided not to challenge the man since he was drunk.
You accioed a napkin and helped Hermione clean herself off the best you could.
"Listen my boy, in the old days I used to throw together the occasional supper party, for a select student or two. Would you be game?" Slughorn whispers for Harry and the 3 of you to hear.
"I'd consider it an honor Sir." Harry responds, elated.
"You'd be welcome too Granger." Slughorn says glancing at Hermione.
"I'd be delighted Sir." Your girlfriend contended.
"You as well Y/N" Slughorn now says smiling your way and you are taken aback.
Surely he was just being kind as to not exclude you.
"Thank you, Sir." you respond earnestly.
Slughorn glances at Ron and you expect him to be invited as well.
"Good to see you Wallenby." Slughorn says adressing Ron with the wrong name without offering him an invitiation. He soon walks away taking his leave.
You bust out laughing unable to hold it in any longer. Ofcourse Ron hadn't done anything in particular to deserve it, he was just too easy to pick on.
He glances at you, indignant. Hermione leans her head on your shoulder trying her best to stiffle her laugh.
---
The 4 of you were now on your way back to the castle after hours spent at The Three Broomsticks.
Needless to say Hermione had a bit too much too drink and she couldn't keep her hands off you.
Truthfully, you found it a bit humorous. drunk Hermione wasn't a something you were met with often but whenever it happened it was always fun.
Your love for her always seemed to grow in these moments. You realise you're prepared to do anything to ensure her happiness.
Your moment bliss was cut short when a piercing scream came from the distance. You stopped in your tracks and focused your glance ahead.
You watched as a girl you knew as Katie Bell, levitate high above the ground for a few seconds before her body was harshly thrown back down.
You flinch at the sight and you feel Hermione's grip on your arm tighten. She was afraid, you tried your best to hide it but you were too.
---
You stood next to a now sober Hermione.
Professor Mcgonagall infront of you, inspecting the necklace suspected to have cursed Katie.
Footsteps soon approach and you watch as Professor Snape walk towards the 5 of you. He glances at you before eventually settling his gaze onto Harry.
"Severus, what do you make of this?" Mcgonagall asks, panic evident in her tone.
"I think Ms Bell, is lucky to be alive." Snape responds matter of factly.
"She was cursed wasn't she? I know Katie off the quidditch pitch she wouldn't hurt a fly. If she was delivering that to Professor Dumbledore she wasn't doing it knowingly." Harry voices out, interrupting the Professors.
"Yes she was cursed." Mcgonagall responds without looking in his direction.
"It was Malfoy." Harry states with no hesistation.
Hermione glances at him, shocked at the dark haired boy's bluntness.
"Harry-" You voice out, shaking your head slightly in disapproval.
Perhaps Draco had done this, perhaps he didn't. Either way you shouldn't be placing blame without proof.
It was as if Snape had read your mind with his next question that was directed at Harry.
"Your evidence?"
"I just know." Harry responds confidently.
Too confident.
You wince internally. Incapable of masking your reaction, you shut your eyes and scrunch up your face in response, before eventually looking down at the ground.
Harry's pride was misplaced, although there was a chance he could be right you still felt he should choose his words carefully.
Snape being your head of house, you knew him slightly better than the 3 Gryffindors.
You knew challenging him truly never came to anything pleasant.
Hermione glances at you before eventually holding her gaze on Snape, anticipating his next words.
Ron holds his gaze as well before looking away uncomfortably.
"You just know" Snape repeats, his tone condensending.
You clench your jaw, physically braced yourself for his next words.
"Once again you astonish me with your gifts Potter, gifts mere mortals may only dream of possessing." He starts before pausing for a beat.
"How grand it must be, to be the chosen one." Snape finishes.
A slap in the face.
Harry may have been too proud to let it get to him but you felt the weight of Snape's words.

I come trying to make myself understood; Excuse me, my English is not very goodā€¦ anyway. In my country there is a famous saying that says "Respect for the rights of others is peace." And I come to tell you that it can indeed be applied to everything. My Bokadine friends and I are sure of one thingā€¦ we want Din, Grogu and Bo katan to be happy. Whatever happens, together or apartā€¦ but happy.
But; when in material where we know that Star Wars has always known how to handle the ups and downs of human emotions, which has shown us how romantic clichĆ©s can continue to be used and give them a different touch in their content. When we talk about Din and Bo and all those signs, all that interaction that we tell you was seen, that synchrony and chemistry, those romantic winksā€¦ it's because it's appearing there; We are not pulling it out of our sleeve as if it were a trick. They are the ones who, since season 2, have been put in that place of "enemies and then lovers", a very used and feasible resource for content of many types and what do they think?
Who were the ones who remained friends this season and with that wink and that possibility of something more??? Ohhh yes Bo katan and Din. Of course, if we are objective as many "like to be" and only when it suits them LOL The possibilities are many and in SW anything can happenā€¦ but let me tell you
They have handled the romance between Jedi, Jedi and other people, canon material in comics, iconic couples like Leia and Han, unstable couples like Anakin and Padme, more focused and realistic and to some extent healthy couples like Hera and Kanan, couples of all kinds , endlessā€¦. But that a Mandalorian and a Mandalorian who are technically a "ying-yang" type
What more than just complementing each other, they synchronize and are comfortable and yesā€¦ yes something can happen between themā€¦ ohhh no!!! They start to lose their mindsā€¦ Don't lose it, look at something healthy and well-crafted, beautiful and pure on the screen, showing us that both began to come together, there was respect, support, trust and interestā€¦ Are you telling me that this is not key to a solid relationship and something more???
come on, really?
Well I see this; people who are not emotionally mature enough, who believe that The Mandalorian is just cheap action; They are the ones who have the most right to give their opinion, that's the bad thing about internet access HAHA because they are those types of people who will never agree with anything, who are the first to forget this content when it is no longer popular, who never understood that Star Wars and its characters are as the Armorer says, Din's spiritual guide, says and now Bo's ally... they are all fables with a moral.
Let's look at those types of people who, in my land, we also say "they neither live nor let live," very hurt people, very overwhelmed with their own hearts, that everything beautiful or beautiful or that blooms, they like to darken it, wither it, because that's how they are. It's their nature.
I'm just telling you; Din was not forced by anything to follow Bo katan, neither the creed, nor a payment involved, nor what the armorer had told him, was an impediment for him to join her, he also expressed it at the time of the oath.
And vice versa Bo Katan has always been seen from a perspective where she is called selfish, villainous, she moves towards her interests and coincidentally her interest was to be close to a Mandalorian in silver armor and his son, save them, help them and coincidentally end up together. ā€¦even how this season endedā€¦ I don't know; It sounds logical to you to want to deny it or rather, just accept your "argument" so as not to discuss it, to live together and stay by your side so that you feel goodā€¦haha I don't think so, I would never do that.
