hello, you don't have to post this ask, but i just wanted to inform you that i had signed-up on the writers application (on the first day), but due to some things popping up in my life recently and i dont think i would be able to keep up with the due date and get something done in good quality in time. so, if its fine, i would like to withdraw my application. i really hope this doesnt bother any of the mods too much, as im sure many of you are already busy. either way, thank you so much for hosting this, maybe next year i'll be able to do it <33

Omg are you the one who wrote For Your Entertainment as well as Tangled Thicket? Because they're like my most favorite fics in the mario fandom. I binged For Your Entertainment in like one night or so, I was just so enthralled by it. And I am in the middle of reading Tangled Thicket, but let me say the fic is so wonderfully well written. I inspire to write like you, especially with Peasley-you write just so well, I'm obsessed with it lol and you write him exactly in a way that I want to as well. Just all of your fics are so amazingly well written, and make me want to write my own mario fics as well. Thank you so much for the great content 💖💖

63. Routine Kisses Where The Other Person Presents Their Cheek/Forehead For The Hello/Goodbye Kiss Without Even Looking Up From What They’re Doing

The Gautier estate was not a very calming place, even with Sylvain taking the title of Margrave. There were always meetings to attend, troops to train, orders to give-- not to mention the piles and piles of paperwork. Ashe had to consciously carve out time to just sit and listen to the logs in the fireplace crackle, or savor the lunch he helped the cooks make, or pursue the library in for a good book. And it was pulling teeth trying to get Sylvain to slow down and do the same.

Once Felix finally moved in with them, Ashe had declared the mornings “rush free”. 

“So if renegade Empire troops attack the borders I’m just supposed to stay tucked in bed?” Felix had asked gruffly.

Ashe frowned. “That would be an exception.”

“Hurray.”

Sylvain nudged Felix. “Come on, you came here to spend more time with us, didn’t you? What’s wrong with having mornings to ourselves?”

“And it wouldn’t be the whole morning,” Ashe added. “Just time enough to have breakfast together. No interruptions.”

After grumbling about needing to redo his training schedule, Felix had agreed. Sylvain, praising Ashe for his great idea, agreed as well.

It wasn’t easy. At first the trio had a whole two hours to themselves every morning. But, within a fortnight, that time had dwindled to half an hour. Then Felix had put his foot down and yelled at the Gautier staff for needing so much hand holding-- and Sylvain, equally frustrated, did nothing to reign him in. Ashe had apologized to the servants later but gave each general and advisor a firm glare.

Which is how, at long last, Ashe found himself on the couch in their sitting room, listening to the crackle of the fireplace and sandwiched comfortably between Sylvain and Feix. Sylvain had one hand in Ashe’s hair as he reviewed a report for his afternoon meeting. Felix drank his tea, feet propped up on the low table in front of them and occasionally bumping Sylvain’s leg. 

The clock began to chime, breaking the quiet. Sylvain heaved a sigh. “Alright, I gotta get ready.”

Felix scowled. “I still don’t see what you could possibly do for merchants out of the eastern port,” he said into his cup. 

“I think they just need me to sit at the head of the table and be stunningly handsome while they talk it out.”

Ashe laughed and Felix rolled his eyes as Sylvain disappeared into their bedroom to change. “You have to get going too, right?” Ashe asked, bumping Felix with his shoulder.

“I’ve got some time.”

Ashe didn’t know if he fully believed that but he wasn’t about to push Felix away. Leaning forward, Ashe took the top letter from his pile of that day’s mail and opened it, settling back against Felix again. “Can I read you the latest update from Gaspard? My sister’s reports are always more detailed than my brother’s.”

“Sure.”

The letter was detailed enough that Ashe was still reading when Sylvain left the bedroom fully dressed. “I’m off,” Sylvain announced, folding his arms over the back of the couch between them.  

“Good luck,” Ashe said as he tilted his left cheek up. Felix did the same with his right, eyes still on the letter. Sylvain pressed a kiss to each cheek before ruffling Ashe’s hair one last time and turning for the door. 

He stopped in the doorway. “Don’t you have that thing, Felix? The captain orientation thing? Or is that tomorrow?”

“It’s today. I’ll leave soon.” Felix waved a hand at Sylvain to urge him out the door. “Get going, and don’t forget to be handsome or whatever.”

With a wink, Sylvain left. Ashe looked at Felix. “Captain orientation? Are you late?”

Felix shrugged. “I’ll be fine. I mostly just need my swords. Finish the letter.”

Luckily they were on the last page. Once done, Ashe gently took Felix’s empty tea cup from him. “Get dressed,” he ordered just as gently.

Felix stood from the couch, hesitated, then continued on to the bedroom. Taking the next letter, Ashe sat back again the pillow Sylvain had been using as an armrest, trying to draw peace from the warmth Sylvain had left behind and the lingering scent of Felix’s tea.

When Felix opened the bedroom door again, he was indeed armed with both his favorite swords. He fiddled with the straps on their scabbards as he approached Ashe. 

Ashe inclined his head and accepted Felix’s kiss to his forehead.  “Good luck,” he said as Felix straightened.

“I hate when we leave at the same time,” Felix blurted out.

Ashe looked up. “Huh?’

Hands still busy with his straps, Felix said, “When Sylvain and I have things to do but you stay here-- I hate when we have to run out on you. So I wanted to stagger this morning a bit.” Felix met Ashe’s gaze. “I know I didn’t think much of this idea at first but it’s been nice having time set aside just for you two. I’d hate to make you feel abandoned just because we have places to be.”

Ashe found himself smiling as he took one of Felix’s hands. “We’re all busy, Felix. That’s why I wanted to plan this time together in the first place! As long as we have that-- and as long as we’re all together at the end of the night-- then I could never feel abandoned. Is that how you feel, when I have to go on missions and Sylvain has meetings and we leave you here?”

“No...”

“Then I’m fine.” Ashe kissed his knuckle. “We’re fine. I love you.”

“I love you too.” 

Accepting one more kiss to the forehead, Ashe let go for Felix. “You’ll be late.”

“Like they could start without me.” But Felix turned for the door and, with one last look at Ashe, left.

Ashe settled back into the couch again. As he continued reading the letter from Caspar, he absently wondered how to increase their mornings back to two hours. 

Somehow, he got the feeling Felix would like that.

7. favorite animal? why?

Keith's (BLU Scout) favorite animal would be something simple, like a dog. It's a boring answer and he knows that, but he really loves dogs; they're man's best friend, after all. To seem cooler, he'll answer something canine adjacent, like wolves, but deep down is favorite is a dog.

Cor-Byn (BLU Sniper) loves marine life and has a soft spot for it. He doesn't really have a favorite, but if pressed he would choose the Hawaiian Bobtail Squid (x). He encountered them during his short time in Hawaii, but he absolutely adores the creature and painted it a bunch. Usually when asked, though, he would say "I can't choose" -> "Squids are my favorite."

14. favorite feel-good show?

honestly I barely even watch shows anymore... um... actually, Green Lantern: The Animated Series always makes me feel fluffy. as long as I ignore the horrific angst of the second half. it was the thing that got me into the dc universe, so it's pretty special to me. razer please come home </5

17. fairy lights or LED lights?

fairy lights. the LED strips seem too... manufactured. I like how you can drape fairy lights like vines, or strands of a spider web. maybe I should get some...

23. favorite piece of clothing?

my cat ears! I got them at hot topic with some friends and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. it's impossible to be in a bad mood with jingly little kitty ears on. and it's very good for entertaining my cousins' kids when they come over!

27. which character would you want to be?

...well, that's what a fursona is for, isn't it? if I woke up one morning and found I was either a) a big fluffy lion with wings b) Big Lizard or c) somehow both at the same time, I'd be set. the whimsy it would add to my life would be unparalleled.

1. Do they have any crafting hobbies?

Yes he does! Mont really enjoys baking, specifically bread! He makes various sourdough pastries in his free time and likes giving them to his friends and family

(just figured out they meant arts and crafts. in that case, no not really lol. art was something he could never figure out how to copy well)

22. Would they ever betray someone for money?

That's a difficult one... in the past, when he was younger, I would say yes. He was very money hungry when he was younger (late teens and early twenties). However, he's now won a lot of different competitions and has gained a lot of money from that--he isn't rich necessarily, he just has enough money to be well off for a while. Now, it would just depend on his relationship with the person; I think he would still betray someone if he feels like he wasn't really that close to them.

Long in short of it, yes he would (excluding family and extremely close friends, which he has few of)

42. Can they speak multiple languages? If yes which all do they speak and why?

Yes, he can speak multiple languages! He can speak fluently in Dutch, French, English, and is now currently learning German.
