New Bug Fix
This is a Workaround Fix for the (old but temporary fixed and now back again) Bug where the progress of a written book will be lost when traveling. This Fix adds a backup of the progress to your own Sim and adds it back to the written Book when resuming. So this Fix will only work well if you write one Book after another.If you write several Books at the same time, the progress from one Book might be added to another, so keep that in mind. You also need to cancel the writing before saving & closing the Game. This Fix does not override any ingame ressources so it is compatible with my Slower Writing Mod.

Sliding in to ask what ur workout routine is like 👀 if u wanna share. I'm interested in starting but kind of lost, some of the resources online kind of get confusing,,,but no pressure! U can delete this if u want!
im sorry i got very long winded and vague, talking more about theory than an actual regime hwhwhwhw also disclaimer that i am not a professional in any manner so there might be inaccuracies in what i say that im not aware of...
Prefacing this by saying I go to gym with a few other people as a group under a coach. So the routine isn't fixed - we do different exercises p much every time. But it's twice a week - once for full-body with some cardio and once for extremities - one week we do legs and the next arms. Of course doing smth with a coach is different from doing smth by yourself - there's a lot more pressure and a lot less guidance. If you can afford it / if it is plausible, i would suggest a coach even if its a couple of times (they can help you set up a routine taking goals into account) but of course for many people it is not a possibility.
I understand how it can be really confusing looking at information online, especially if you don't know much about exercise or anatomy. (As a med student, anatomy knowledge and which muscles are involved in which actions has helped me a lot when it comes to exercise.)
If I may impress into you one concept - when you look up any exercise, I want you to know what muscle groups you're supposed to be using, and when you do that exercise, you have to pay attention that you are doing the motion correctly so that u are using the muscle group u are supposed to. It sounds simple enough, but the body - it wants shortcuts, it wants to make the motion easier for itself. It will do the motion wrong if you are not paying attention. And if you do it wrong - best case is you use different muscles, worst case is you damage something and hurt yourself.
Exercise isn't supposed to hurt!! If a motion hurts you, it might be too difficult for you, and you need to do something simpler / with less weight.
Another thing I want to say is - most people at the gym have no idea what they're doing. Like, our coach says it all the time - a good 70% of the people are going the exercises wrong. Form matters, and it matters extremely if you do anything with big weights (i would not suggest trying a deadlift without a firm grasp of form or you would throw your back out, for instance)
But starting to go to the gym might be scary. And there are exercise you can do at home by yourself, using your own body weight or some simple equipment.
If systematising makes things easier for you, I will break down the three major parts of the body when we talk about exercise (i am open to more questions regarding these groups if you have them but i will put in some resources i like later on as well):
Arms: shoulder (this is v important, since its a relatively unstable joint and there are many exercises specifically to strengthen the rotator cuff which you should not ignore if you ever want to build up your upper body), arm (biceps, triceps), forearm (most so called 'grip' exercises are for forearm and its necesary to have a good grip if you ever wanna lift weights otherwise your hands will bail out when the rest of ur body could still lift it)
Legs: glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, knee (another finicky joint!! easy to damage and a bitch once you've fucked it up. typically u can build up knee strength with different kind of squats), calves.
Torso/Core: abs (rectal abdominal muscles are what most people think, but the abdominal wall has a ton of muscles making it up!! you also have to use the oblique abdominal muscles and the transverse abdominal muscles! think like. russian twists and planking on the side not just crunches), pectorals, back (there are sooo many muscles in the back by the way. like the trapezoids, the latissimus, the erector spinae, not to mention all the muscles that start in the back and go to the extremitie)
...So, like you get that you should not focus on any particular thing exclusively but rather try and utilise everything. Because there is so much and it all connects!! If you want to make a routine for any particular segment of your body, you ought to know what makes that part up and add in exercises so that you get some action in most, if not all, the muscle groups!
But remember not to go too hard - pushing yourself beyond your limits might seem like a good idea at the start but it will make you hate exercise and you will not build up a habit.
As for resources - I would like to dissuage you from using resources made for bodybuilders specifically (that's professional exercise. unless you want to revolve your entire life around the gym it really isnt worth it and might do you harm). On the other hand - physical therapists or professional coaches might have more worthwhile stuff to say. Though not every one. My general approach would be - the more rigidly they talk about exercise, the less inclined I would be to listen. You need to listen to people who acknowledge individual limits and beginner-level exercise.
I had a youtube channel i was looking at when i had some joint pains. It's called Athlean-X and i liked it because the guy is a physical therapist and explains the moves very clearly, often with like an anatomical dummy. Been a while since I watched anything but it's stuck in my memory as an okay resource to look at.
And another that has shown up in my attention fairly recently is hybridcalisthenics (they're also on tumblr and tiktok under the same name btw) and the videos show a really nice progression of exercises increasing in difficulty so it's great for starting and plotting out a solid goal! I also love the way Hampton talks about exercise - it seems to me like a really healthy, non-judgemental approach, acknowledging how long it takes to build up before you can progress to harder movements.
These two to me seem like good starting points but if you want I can help hunt down more! Or if you still don't quite know which direction to approach exercise from feel free to shoot me a dm and I will try and help you out :D

Suddenly opened a new, separate individual bank account which he said he made to better track his finances. All his commission checks go in there. I was very caught off guard only because we've had joint finances for over 9 years and have made all our major financial decisions together. He says he got it to better track his finances.

the one type of love he was comfortable with was and is familial love. he got all of that from his dad since his mom died when he was young. his dad may have had a hard time being a single parent, but he understood that his dad did everything within his ability to make sure that miyuki was loved. the long hours at the steel factory they own was his dad's way of saying he’s supporting him. baseball is expensive, the equipment, the shoes, the clubs he joined, all of that piled up together to become an expensive bill. but his dad would always make sure he was supported through everything he did, even when he decided to move away to go to seidou, to achieve his dreams. that type of love was something that he could never forget.
with his friends, that type of platonic love was something he learned gradually and now cherishes. he knows he’s not an easy person to be friends with. yes, he doesn’t care about not being liked, but having his friends and teammates understand him? and meet his energy with the same energy without backing down? that…that is nice to have in one’s life. he’s just like his father, he speaks his affections through his actions. when it’s with his friends, he cooks for them whenever he’s in the mood, or he invites others to come over to his apartment when he’s watching upcoming or past games. with his teammates, he speaks through his plays, his leadership on the diamond as the main catcher, and through his guidance when at practice. he wouldn’t admit it to them, never in his life would he dare do that, but he’s thankful that all of them understand that he is truly grateful to have them in his life.

Yugioh S4 Ep 26: What the Hell is Glued to Valon’s Ass?
Well guys.
I should preface--since it’s effecting the voice I have in these recaps quit a bit--I’m still in quarantine and losing my entire mind. So, I took a break from making a whole lot of content because I actually can’t judge if anything I make is good or funny right now. I think it’s a weird consequence of making just so many decisions navigating things I won’t go into. tl;dr, It’s been ridiculous.
And so I’ve only really been on twitter, and it just so happens, that there’s been a bunch of really insane and juicy art fights going on that have kind of ramped up in insanity the farther LA goes into the red, (since most of art twitter lives in LA since art twitter is elitist as hell, which was it’s own very spicy art fight), but one of the most recent ones was...I kid you not...about if it was possible to make cannibalism ethical...and I threw my Wacom tablet out of the freakin window was like...y’all. I’m done.

I DON’T KNOW HOW ART TWITTER WORKS. At all. I don’t know what the people want!
And I was like, I need to look at something that came out before this epidemic. I just need this and so we’re back to Yugioh. I have no idea if this post is any good, because again I can’t judge my own abilities anymore, and I probably sound very very salty, and whatever, but at least I’m not talking about freakin cannibalism in the middle of art twitter. At least I got out of that mess, amiright?
I can’t get worse than cannibalism. I can’t get worse than certain people at the top rungs of art twitter that are absolutely going to eat somebody at some point in their life and I don’t really want to be a part of that club nooooo thank you.
Like Yugioh is pretty effed up, and I will eat these words (just the words) but I’m pretty sure we’re not going to venture into cannibalism.
So anyways, I had to read my own recaps to catch up with what is even happening, and so for those that forgot, like me--Everyone is sort of standing in the middle of the road in San Fransisco and there’s a bunch of orcs everywhere.

Seto is still in denial. Maybe he just assumed Roland threw out a bunch of hologram projectors all over San Fransisco and so there’s just...monsters everywhere? I mean how prevalent is his hologram trash?
We barely even have parking, why would we have hologram projectors everywhere, Seto? San Fransisco barely has HOUSING. Even when Google Glass was a thing, we only whipped those bastards out at parties for the gram. They weren’t actually USED.

Somewhere in like...the grossest park in SF, (like there’s a light pole that’s tipped over? There’s weeds everywhere? No playground equipment? What is this?) Valon and Joey are...throwing cards at eachother. Not much to say about this interaction other than Valon is going to be in a robot suit the entire time, and no you did not miss anything, I just don’t go over the cards here, and...that’s his card schtick--he gets in a robot suit and punches you in the balls. Speaking of getting punched directly in the balls, Mai is still on the hunt to murder Joey Wheeler, because that’s how she’s decided to work through her trauma. I will say, it is nice that we have a consequence to the Marik season and a little more depth into Mai, I just wish we had more of an explanation of how she jumped this far other than “I dunno, man, Orichalcos.”

Can’t have a Yugioh show without beating up your protagonists for a good while. At this point in the series, just comparing trauma of one character to another, you’d think Joey would be the one with trauma that makes him murderous as hell. Instead, he’s remarkably one of the most stable people here. Especially compared to Valon, who is this strange hypocritical broken record of “you gotta let Mai make up her own mind” while doing his very best to manipulate Mai.

If they had both left eachother alone, then Mai would have been way more likely to come back to her senses, just throwing that out there. Valon was a guy who latched on too much, and Joey was the guy who didn’t latch on at all--she needed a good in-between guy. A good in-between guy over the age of 21. It’s a shame that this type of guy does not exist on this show for her to hang out with. 
So Valon flashes back to the moments directly after he introduced Mai to his dad (Dartz) and Mai got possessed with Oricalchos powers.

After Mai refuses to join the team, she joins the team and directly kills Pegasus. To which, she was like “Oh yeah, I don’t actually have any personal agenda against this bastard. He’s just some guy who kills other people, this is just normal vigilante work.”

And so Joey decides he should share flashbacks, since that’s what we’re doing now, and we get a slight retelling of this scene in S1.

In this retelling it’s different because the hanky was actually holding the money card. This was not how it originally went, the card was given separately--but they had to do SOMETHING to make that hanky make some sort of sense, so it...has a card now.
That’s kind of the Yugioh solution to every problem, actually--just put a card on it.
(EDITORS NOTE: OK so apparently, actually-turns out the hanky DID contain a card originally in S1 but I just hella forgot--and normally I’d change this to reflect that but like my mind is full of quarantine spaghetti, so I’ll just leave it as is for posterity because I don’t feel like rewriting anything.)

self-care 101 (covid-19 period)

Since we’ve rolled round to another May bank holiday, I thought it’d be nice to share some tips with you. As a homebody, and someone who will do absolutely ANYTHING to avoid one specific boring activity, I’ve racked up quite a long list over the past few years. Obviously, I’m no professional - but I find these help. There’s no specific chronological order to these - just pick and choose as you like!
Get out of bed!
Or lie in if you need to. Whatever makes you feel good
Start off the day with some yoga or meditation, or basic stretches
Or pray for a bit if you’re religious
Make your bed: tuck your sheets in, rearrange your pillows, etc.
Brush your hair and tie it up nicely
Pick out a cute outfit - could even be your favourite PJs - and lay it out
Go take a soothing shower, or a bubble bath
Use a bath bomb, get some nice candles if you feel like it
Put on some nice music to relax to
Try out a new hairstyle or style your hair the way you would if you had somewhere to be!
Slap on some makeup, why not? :) 
Floss your teeth, or maybe use that teeth whitening formula you never picked up again after using it for the first time
Pick out a recipe for a hair mask or face mask and put it on
Before doing any of these, make sure they suit your hair & skin type
E.g. if you have frizzy and dry hair, use a moisturising and rejuvenating mask vs if you have sleek, straight hair - use a volume-enhancing mask. Same goes for your skin - evaluate whether you have dry skin, oily skin or combination 
Stick to the recommended leave in time! It can be extremely difficult to get out later otherwise

Or a nice bowl of your favourite cereal
Avocado toast - there are so many different varieties of this online, and I bet you’ll find that you like.
A fruit salad!
Eggs done the way you like
A full English if you’re feeling ambitious
Workout for an hour or so
This doesn’t have to be really equipment intense or challenging if you don’t want it to be

The Guest (2014) David headcannons
so originally in the movie he did have a backstory, but it was cut in favor of making him more mysterious. this is partly based on info about the deleted footage i could find online and partly from my imagination.
naturally highly empathetic
parents died in a car crash when he was 14
David bounced around in the foster system in the midwest until he graduated high school
didn’t know what to do after high school and joined the military
trained with Caleb and they were deployed together
just the best of buds; like brothers
the shrapnel in David’s back that landed him in the hospital is from the same attack that also injured Caleb
due to the differing nature of their injuries, they were treated in different hospitals and had no idea if the other was still alive
David’s injury fucked up his spine and severely paralyzed him
was told he would never fully recover
was then approached by KPG (military contractor organization who branched out from weapons manufacturing and training into genetic research) 
basically told that he could submit himself to their scientific study into regenerative medicine for free and that it is his only chance at healing even a little bit
with nothing left to lose, he agrees
has no idea what KPG was intending to do and was made to sign a lot of documents while high on hospital drugs
Caleb is drafted into this program using similar shady methods
as soon as they agree, they are declared dead by the US gov and Caleb’s family is notified (David doesn’t have anyone to notify)
they are transferred to the KPG labs were they are rehabilitated, then realize something isn’t right
their bodies are healed, but they arent being given full range of mobility: locked in their hospital rooms and (depending on how much they disrespect authority) are restrained to their beds
for easy access to test subjects, they are moved into a large room with cells lining the walls with an operating table and other lab equipment in the center
David and Caleb don’t see the outside of that room for months
at first they shared a cell, but as the other test subjects started dying off, more cells became available and they were separated
think Maximum Ride or The Bourne Identity
the first phase was pumping them full of drugs that are meant to change them physically, make them stronger, more tolerant to pain, remove their ability to feel panic, heighten their focus  etc
but it only works about halfway.
David’s memory of this time (and pretty much every moment since his injury) is foggy because of the drugs so everything he remembers is fragmented 
one round of tests was particularly harmful, causing the deaths of several subjects, including Caleb
David watches Caleb dies on an operating table as scientist observe how the drugs are affecting him
the last thing Caleb says to David is to “find my family---the petersons... and tell them I love each of them. Be there for them. Protect them now that I can’t”
having grown up feeling like his only opportunity at a family was gone, those words impact David so greatly that they are the only thing he can clearly remember
to be tasked with being the guardian of his solitary friend’s family imbued him purpose
the scientists begin to realize that about 3/4 of the test group is dying as a result of the drugs, while the rest are actually surviving with the intended results
these surviving few move on to the next stage of testing, psychological reprogramming
all kinds of scary military torture tactics and mindfuck drugs are used to completely break them and slowly mold them into perfect drones who execute orders without question or hesitation

David encounters Major Carver during this time and comes to associate him with the conditioning
David remembers even less from this time, but he remembers the Navy Seal-esque training he was put through
test subjects who are noncompliant are killed immediately
So, miraculously, he lives his life like this for a month; being drugged, tortured, and undergoing an intensive workout regimen 
eventually, all the other test subjects die (either by disobedience or incompatibility with the medication or physical exhaustion) and David is the only one left standing
the goal of the experiment was to create human drones that execute can execute a wide array of orders while using critical thinking and problem solving and still maintaining respect for civilians/hostages. half drone half person
unfortunately, David’s programming was so complete that although he showed in verbal and written tests that he valued human life, in practice he could not complete a mission without harming “non-combatants” and showed a tendency to revert to violence over diplomacy.
thus the project was deemed a failure and the testing site was closed.
David, the sole survivor, was moved to a smaller facility where KPG intended to harvest the last bit of data for future trials and then euthanize him
this is when he makes his escape by setting a fire and faking his death.
after that he can only do one thing: obey orders
and whats the one order that his fragmented mind has placed the most importance on?
protecting the petersons
so he uses emotional manipulation to get the mother to let her guard down, then when she offers him Caleb’s room, he realizes that a part of her wants her son back and is willing to let David in as a surrogate, so he backs off
he isolates what specific thing is bothering every family member, and destroys it in the only way he knows how
he stages the dad’s boss’s suicide so he can be promoted
is constantly helping in the kitchen and with various household chores (chopping vegetables, picking up the brother from school, etc) to fill the void left by Caleb
frames the sister’s drug dealer boyfriend for murder to get her away from his bad influence and their lackluster relationship
defends the brother against his bullies and advocates for him when he is about to be suspended
David also actively tries to befriend the brother and sister, seeing how lonely and emotionally isolated they are in the wake of their brother’s death
 but of course when he is compromised, he has to destroy all loose ends
its honestly chilling in the movie how he hunts down the family members with a mix of determination and utter emotional detatchment
even though he can’t show it, he genuinely was sorry when he killed the mother and father
underneath the programming, he’s still an empathetic person who loves this family for giving him the only kind of normalcy he’s had in years
when the brother stabs him and he says “you did the right thing. I don’t blame you” he means it, even if he can’t express it with any emotion in his voice
he was aware of the drone he had become but had no way to stop his actions - however his final act was to protect the brother from the guilt of killing him by assuring him that stabbing him was the right thing
I really like how the ending is ambiguous too, so I won’t write all of it, but I like to believe that experience had shaken loose some of the conditioning David was slave to, and now David watches the brother and sister from a distance, making sure they’re okay and jumping out to protect them when they need it terminator-style
