Do you think that Mary Ann and Zelda know each other? They are both barbarians who would have been in the same year. Neither of them seem to be/have been in the same class with Gorgug (ofc Zelda had private lessons with Porter in freshmen year, but I assume that wasn't ALL of her classes) so it stands to reason they might have been in the same class block.

I like to think they actually got on okay. They're both very reserved and clearly neurodivergent it's easy to imagine them partnering up on group projects when Zelda doesn't want to ask someone else and Mary Ann doesn't care to. They make for an interesting match up with Mary Ann seemingly being a very brute force style of combatant and Zelda being a dexterity focused Eagle barbarian, but them being probably the shortest two barbarians in their year. I bet they enjoyed hanging out in class and not actually having to talk to each other, maybe chatting occasionally about crystal games

Gorgug and Zelda breaking up is so real,

like I love them but also they were both insecure and not really able to support each other really. they were definitely going in different directions and I think it makes a lot of sense for them to not be together.

I love how much this season is exploring the changes of growing up.

I'm just thinking about how it's reasonable to assume the the Time Quangle means that the events of The Seven are happening during the Night Yorb quest and how that recontextualises certain scenes

Specifically ep 2 when Sam is lashing out at the rest of the group and says to Zelda "I mean he's [Gorgug] already going all over the place without you" and really upsetting her. Obviously, it's originally referring to Spring Break and the band tours whatever, but the changed timeline means it could now be about him having been off chasing the Night Yorb for two months or so which is a whole different context

Of course, Sam apologises and they make up, but it's somehow sadder knowing that Zelda and Gorgug are about to break up presumably because they can't spend enough time together
