there's something so special about the fact that c!wilbur, c!quackity, c!phil, c!niki, and c!ranboo survived. it's about how these characters fell so hard and messed up and lashed out but now they're safe. they're safe and they get to live. they can just BE. it's about how they worked so hard to preserve their legacy and memory throughout the story and now? well now in some way they do have that.

obviously the dream smp's ending doesn't matter and wasn't Meant to matter, we can do whatever we want.
But It's Still Insane To Think About.
wilbur left tommy alone on that beach On Purpose, knowing full well that dream had already abused and Killed tommy before. and we have to assume that he thought that dream just. Wouldn't do that. we have to Assume that wilbur genuinely didn't realize that tommy was in danger. because no matter how ridiculous that assumption Feels, how ridiculous it makes his character Look, we know he wouldn't have done that knowingly.
and then tommy died.
and then tommy did something Worse than die.
He Was Fully Reset. every memory he had of wilbur, of their life, every hand print that wilbur had left on him. Gone In An Instant.
And Wilbur Wasn't There.
wilbur is going to keep living while tommy is trapped in this cycle without him.
he's going to grow old, to live a life, To Change. and tommy won't. tommy Never Will. because he's trapped in a Literal cycle, being Reset no matter what.
either wilbur never sees tommy again, or he Does. and both of those scenarios are a tragedy.
in all the ways that matter tommy is dead.
at Least if tommy had been allowed to simply die he would've been able to Remember wilbur. at least they could've found each other in the afterlife somewhere in infinity.
does wilbur know that he's never going to get to say sorry
does tommy know that somebody is missing

hey, since it’s been on my mind recently:
if you automatically assume someone is a terrible person because of the fandom they’re in and openly bully and harass them about it. you aren’t welcome on my blog. get out.
just because someone likes the dream smp or my hero academia or genshin impact does NOT automatically mean they are a horrible person. yes they may be annoying about it, but god forbid someone enjoy a piece of media and fixate on it for months or more at a time /sar. their fandom is completely separate from them as an individual.
same goes for characters. i’ve seen so many harmful stereotypes for people liking certain characters and they need to stop being used to make assumptions about others. if a person likes kokichi, that does not make them automatically terrible as a person. if they like tighnari that does not equate to them supporting his old voice actor.
tldr: let people enjoy things, even things and characters with supposedly bad fanbases. just because they like something you don’t does *not* give you a reason to send them death threats or otherwise make them feel bad for enjoying what they do. if you don’t like the fandom or content they’re posting, block them or the tag. you do not have to approach them about it and put them down for loving something.

I legit loved that ending, all of us expecting for it to be super serious and cc!Wilbur said “fuck that” and made us laugh. C!Tommy kind of played the role of the viewers, making all the same assumptions as us. And then c!Wilbur is actually American and he teleports back to Irl Utah and Ghostbur gets a happy ending. It just feels so Dream SMP.
I feel like nothing they could have done could’ve lived up to everyone’s expectations and so they didn’t try. They reminded us why we (or rather, I) loved Dream SMP in the first place. It was stupid, it made us laugh, it made us cry, there was nothing off limits. This stream feels like it’s come full circle, like it’s an homage to the beginning of this character. His beginnings were stupid, why shouldn’t his end be? And after all that, cc!Wilbur gave Ghostbur a happy(-ish) ending. It knocked all of us off balance, all our predictions and expectations were destroyed. And I like it that way. I like the Dream SMP that way. And this is coming from one of the most angst-loving motherfuckers out there.
So thank you Wilbur Soot. For a wild fucking two years.

What would be your thoughts on a species/role swap rivals au?
Oooh thoughts, so many thoughts.
Okay so first role swap.
So uh if I’m gonna be fair if the two of them switched roles there would be no conflict on the DSMP.
…Mostly because there would be no people left to cause conflict.
Looking at how methodical and calculated Techno is (ie - the potato war), he would simply end the conflicts by making sure there was no one out there who could cause trouble. This Techno would be ruthless and calculating, and without someone like Phil to temper him, incredibly blood thirsty. Blood for the blood god and all.
Dream… would probably be more carefree and playful like in his manhunt days, and if anything would probably be trying to either befriend Techno or maybe if his friends are involved, try to stop him. It all depends on if things continue like in canon.
Species swap - going with the assumption that Techno is a giant piglin and Dream is just a guy…
The DSMP would be much sadder I think. Because in canon Dream is just a guy and he was still painted as a villain. Imagine if he started out as a beast.
He would start the world with his friends and he would try to be small. Hunch himself down, file his tusks, everything to seem smaller and thus safer to be around. As the events of the SMP unfold, he would be painted as a monster, a beast to be killed… and I think his spiral downwards would start much sooner. If you’re always called a monster - at some point you’d end up believing it right?
Techno would stay much the same, he might be a little more cautious, being just a guy, his skills would stay much the same, but I think he’d be just as sympathetic towards Dream, maybe even more so since he’s got a soft spot for creatures.
But yeah! Those are my thoughts, love me some rivals. Might draw Dream as a piglin in the future thanks to this XD

Pop culture assumptions or predictions for the future (2022-2025)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⚠️ Before reading this i just wanted to say that this is all just my personal assumption that i've got. So some or most of them might not come true or be accurate ⚠️
Rihanna and nicki minaj are gonna collab on a single and it is gonna be a huge bop
Pete davidson breaks up with kim k and dates selena gomez (lmao this thing is on my draft for a long time ago and he breaks up with kim k this month and tbh i am not surprised 😂)
Taylor swift will be pregnant and it is a baby boy
Drake is gonna get cancelled
Doja cat's new album is going to flop i am sorry, but she will be more recognized for her personality than her music in the future (she will still be relevant and famous tho)
Anna de armas is gonna be getting huge positive recognition for her acting talent and her beauty maybe between the year of 2023 - 2024 or 2025
People are gonna turn their back on Joseph Quinn for no reason
Chris evans will be married maybe in the year 2024
Someone very huge and globally famous in the rnb music genre will 🚘💥⚰️ (i hope this wont actually happend tbh because i am a very big fan of her 😭😭😭)
Ariana Grande pregnant and it is a baby girl
A famous YouTuber from the dream smp will become a model and will make his runway debut, but it is not going to receive positive recognition from people except in his own fandom.
Dream won't do a face reveal and will never will, i am sorry.
A very huge and globally famous super model who is very well known and has been in the modeling industry for a very very long time will pass away because of a medical conditions.
and also Mason thames will be the new IT boy
This is probably one of the most controversial posts I've ever made.... 😮‍💨😓

Indefinite and Definitely Dreamed About
vampires and first meetings for @smallchaoscryptid's spiderbit week!
Teen, No Warnings Apply
Fandom: QSMP
Pairing: Cellbit/Roier
Additional Tags: Vampires, Fantasy, Royalty, Vampire Cellbit, Spider Hybrid Roier, First Meetings, Bad Flirting, mostly cause im aro, Romantic Fluff, Worldbuilding, character driven plot
Summary:
Cellbit knows that Mella has ambassadors in every country to keep close relations but he has not once seen the one at their castle. He simply assumed they had been already turned or too scared of getting turned, a very fair assumption for vampires. Though when the Vampiric Advisor introduces Cellbit specifically to a spider insecti telling him this was the new ambassador... Cellbit didn't know what to think, far too wrapped up in his new infatuation.

while i don't think you should feel obligated to share or reblog any emojis you don't want to, i think rethinking how you feel about MCYTbrs is important, since there's so many people on minecraft youtube.
minecraft is an endlessly popular game, and there's thousands or maybe even near millions of minecraft youtubers out there.
it's not MCYT in itself that's a problem, its the popular ones that get called out that are, but since minecraft (and minecraft youtube) is so popular, it seems like everyone in minecraft youtube is bad.
but i think you shouldn't say you "do not support those people in any sense.", since that continues the stigma against liking MCYT in general.
minecraft youtubers are just popular because minecraft is popular, there are so many minecraft youtubers that do so much good (ex, technoblade, who's helped raise so much money for sarcoma, even after his passing, and who's inspired and motivated many)
then again, people use MCYT to mean "the dream team and the abusive people they enable" instead of encompassing the many others who aren't even related to the dream team / dream SMP.
this is quite a rambly ask, but as someone who loves certain MCYTbrs, it's tiring to see people say they don't support any mcytbrs, when like... there's such a diverse population. there's some people who might count as minecraft youtubers who are minorities and who try to fight against bigotry and stuff and who don't do weird shit and to say MCYT in general includes them, even if you don't mean to.
although, again, you don't have to reblog any emojis you don't want to, especially since MCYT is a very large label and that CAN include people who are bad, and it's hard to know who's good and who's not, especially with youtubers in general since we only know the persona they put on, and how many there are that you probably know nothing about, let alone if they're an abuser or w/e, but... yeah.
i guess to me it's important since its like saying all actors are bad, when there's many actors who aren't bad people but there's a popular amount that are bad, n such. also mcyt just stands for minecraft youtube, or minecraft youtuber(s), so its like saying roblox youtubers or reaction youtubers, they're a category that has so, so many people that count under that. you can't say you don't support any of them.
unless you literally just dont like minecraft and dont support the game as a whole, or youtube itself as a whole, in which case i'd have more questions but it'd be more correct lmao. also sorry for the ramble i have opinions u dont have to answer this
I knew I'd get someone like this in my ask box when I put my opinion out there 🤦
1. There are literally clips out there of Technoblade saying slurs (including the N word) and him encouraging Dream to do things that have ultimately made others on the team uncomfortable and upset. You definitely need a better example than that. Someone being dead and/or giving to charity does not automatically make them a good person. I'm sure Shane Dawson also gives to charities. We all know JK Rowling does too. Doesn't make them good people.
2. I don't have the time, care, or interest to do research on every single MCYT and it's really only the popular ones that do get emojis of them (with some exceptions, obviously). I only know what I do about the Dream Team and those adjacent because of things I've seen on Tumblr, via friends talking on discord, and some of the YouTubers I watch breaking down the situations. (Also, this low-key comes off the same as "not all men". Like. Yeah, that's true, but that's not who I was referring to. Some of the MCYT I'm referring to aren't a part of the Dream Team either, so I feel comfortable using the broad term)
3. Also, the mansplaining wasn't necessary. I'm not an idiot that lives under a rock. I know what MCYT stands for. As I previously said, I'm not making a broad assumption. I'm just using that term to refer to the people that people think of with that term. To me that's a specific subset of Minecraft creators. I don't consider people that just so happen to do Minecraft videos or streams to fall under that. To me MCYT is just the big ones. It's a title. That's typically what people are referring to when they use that title
4. Also, I've literally played Minecraft and watched others play it on YouTube since it came out when I was like 10 years old. Again. I don't live under a rock. I've just put some distance between me and the creators because I keep hearing bad things. It's not that deep.

yeah agree with your opinion all the way also it is really weird how it came out days after Dream said they are friends. Like this is just the perfect opportunity to “show” that Dream is “delusional” about the friendships and make fans sceptic about who else could be a “backstabber”
Oh 100%, the timing is not accidental. Also, you'll note that all the screenshots except the Paris one are marked as "Today" implying that for some reason over a 24 hour span, Karl was talking about one of Dream's singing tiktoks, quitting banter, Tales of the SMP somehow being Dream's fault because of the face reveal??? Despite the fact that Dream wasn't even really involved in Tales aside from playing XD? And then also doing damage control for things mods were going leaked that day, like, earlier that day? All supposedly in one day? Like he just woke up and decide he wanted to talk shit and this was the most damning stuff the person could get out of it? And then within that timeframe, he decided not to remove that mod and not to do anything to deal with the issue?
The alternative would be that this person was taking screenshots the moment that Karl said something they thought they could use to smear him, and compiled whatever they had to make this smear, which honestly isn't even a great smear? I don't trust that person to be honest even if the screenshots are real. They're filtering everything through a very particular perspective, and they aren't actually trying to do anyone any good. They're trying to smear someone for whatever reason.
Also, again, even pretending for a moment that the screenshots are real, context is completely omitted, both temporally and even just a broader context of the conversation. There's no way to read tone, there's no way to tell how private the convo is meant to be, etc.
Like, again, if someone took discord screenshots of things I've said out of context, they could make me look like a terrible person. They could make it look like I hate close friends or any number of things. It's very easy to do when you cherry pick things out of context that were meant to be said in private to people you trust. And again, that is making the huge assumption that these screenshots are real, and not just faked which is still entirely possible.

C!Tommy and Love, Despite, Despite, Despite: An Essay
Tommy’s entire life story on the SMP can be characterized by a lot of different things. You could see it as a coming of age story, where we watch as Tommy works his way through his teens in strenuous circumstances. You could see it as a story of abuse and the effects of it, the before and after of what Tommy undergoes during Exile. You could see it as a story of strength, of disappointment, of deterioration. You could see it as all of these. None of them are wrong. However, there is one key part of Tommy’s story that remains strong, from beginning to end. Love is what best characterizes Tommy’s story on the Dream SMP. Almost every arc has love at its core, and it is the biggest thing that shapes Tommy and his decisions.
This essay was written under the assumption that Boundless Sands was Tommy’s finale. I know that it isn’t, but for the sake of this essay, that’s what it is. To maintain my sanity, I started with the Disc War. I am sorry early SMP fans. So with that out of the way, let’s begin.
Word count: 3.2k
Tommy’s attachment to the discs is one of his first displays of extreme love toward something. He cares very deeply for the discs and finds that they bring him comfort. As time goes on, these discs become more and more important to him, which is why Dream going after them is such an issue. It really is the introduction of love as a larger theme for Tommy and Dream, and it sets the tone for the rest of their stories. Tommy fights tooth and nail to keep the discs in his possession, no matter how much the war presents issues in his day-to-day life. It would be easy to let go of the discs, to give them up and to live peacefully on his own. However, Tommy refuses to do this, not only because of his stubborn nature, but because of how much he loves the discs. As previously stated, they bring him comfort and they remind him of Tubbo, his best friend. Love is what drives Tommy to fight for his discs.
Love is also what drives Tommy to give away his discs later for L’Manberg’s independence. Despite how much the discs mean to him, Tommy is willing to part with them if it means that he and his loved ones can be free of Dream’s terror. No one asks him to do this. No one expects him to do this. Yet still, he gives away something he loves, he gives away what has essentially become a part of himself, in order to better the lives of his family. L’Manberg and the home it created is a big part of Tommy’s life, and the love he has for it is clear throughout his entire story. He grows to see it as a family, and he grows very close to Wilbur at this time, even seeing him as a brother. Tommy idolizes Wilbur a lot in this arc and really looks up to him as a leader. This is, once again, an act of love. L’Manberg provides a safe place for Tommy and Tubbo to fuck around, and the nurturing envoirment only feeds into Tommy’s love for it. Tommy dedicates himself to L’Manberg and even dies for it, not because he is asked to, not because he is pressured to, but because he genuinely loves L’Manberg and the people within it.
When Tommy and Wilbur lose L’Manberg after the elections, it is love that spares Tommy from having a complete breakdown. His love for the country and for Wilbur is what fuels him to have a positive outlook in a time of despair. He knows that if he fights hard enough, if he loves hard enough, he will be able to return to the home that he helped create and he will be able to help Wilbur get out of the state that he’s in. Tommy’s time in Pogtopia is a very big test for him because he lost the two biggest beacons of stability he had: L’Manberg and Wilbur. There are many instances of Wilbur scaring Tommy, or acting “unkind” (in Tommy’s words). Moments like, “let’s be the bad guys,” “you’re never gonna be president,” “Tubbo? He’s lying to you man!” and the pit scene are moments of extreme stress for Tommy. He understands that something is wrong with Wilbur, but he doesn’t know how to articulate that or how to help. Despite seeing his brother in this state and facing the brunt of his spiral (because Tommy is the person most available), Tommy never gives up on Wilbur. Yes, he is upset with Wilbur, is scared of Wilbur, and is, in many instances, angry with Wilbur. But this does not stop Tommy from believing that Wilbur is beyond help or saving. He sticks with Wilbur because he loves Wilbur. He believes that by saving L’Manberg, he can save Wilbur. When it is revealed that a traitor is part of Pogtopia, he refuses to believe that Wilbur is a suspect, despite seeing the button room with his own eyes and restraining Wilbur after seeing him in a suicidal state. It does not matter that all the signs pointed to Wilbur. Tommy loved Wilbur, and knew that there was goodness in him, so he absolutely refused to let Wilbur go until he was no longer given a choice in the matter (he was never given a choice, but you get what I mean). There were many points in Pogtopia where Tommy had every reason to leave, especially after the Green Festival and Wilbur’s behavior in the aftermath. He was free to go at any time. But it was his love for Wilbur and for L’Manberg that prevented Tommy from giving up.
Wilbur committing suicide on the 16th, though not a suprise for the audience, was a surprise for Tommy. As previously stated, he truly believed that if they got L’Manberg back, which they did, Wilbur would get better. Obviously, this wasn’t correct, and Tommy feels very mixed when it comes to Wilbur from now on. He feels betrayed and is suddenly isolated. He no longer knows how to view Wilbur. Idolization was easy for Tommy, but grieving was not. He understood that Wilbur was not behaving correctly, but he couldn’t bring himself to be angry with Wilbur for long periods of time, because he still loved Wilbur. It’s something that he really struggles to grapple with, how he can love someone despite being hurt by them. Tommy at this time was accustomed to black-and-white thinking, so this sudden shift was overwhelming. Despite his feelings toward Wilbur, he loves Ghostbur, who we’ll come back to during the Exile arc. Before that though, he burns down George’s house with Ranboo, and the Exile confrontation begins. Tommy believes that his friendship, or, his love for Tubbo will save him from Exile. Tommy being proven wrong on this front is something that changes his and Tubbo’s friendship forever. Even though it was proven to him before that love couldn’t save everyone, he still put his faith in it. This line of thinking is questioned even further during Exile.
Love being at the center of Tommy’s story is part of what makes Exile so horrifying. During Exile, Tommy is deprived of love and connection to other people, and this isolation is part of the reason why he attempts suicide later on. Dream has taken notice of Tommy’s love for others and for objects and uses this knowledge to abuse Tommy. He takes away Tommy’s items and blows them up in front of him because he wants Tommy to feel as if he has nothing to love. He is not allowed an outlet to feel any positive emotion. This also ensured that any item Dream gave to Tommy, like the trident, would make him have a highly emotional response, and then taking that away would create an even bigger upset. The compass Ghostbur gives to Tommy elicits this highly emotional response. Tommy considers throwing it away, but doesn’t, because he loves Tubbo, despite being Exiled by him. The beach party only further cements this feeling. Tommy is made to feel as if no one loves him. When love is a large part of what drives Tommy, this can only be a problem. On the final day of Exile, when Dream calls Tommy a bug, making him feel insignificant and like a burden, he feels most unloved. Dream had tried, and succeeded, in making Tommy believe that he was Tommy’s only friend. But by saying this, he has made it clear that he does not love, let alone care for Tommy, the way a friend should. This, along with the other instances of abuse during Exile, is what drives Tommy to attempt suicide. While on the verge of attempting, Tommy realizes that Dream is not his friend, that love is not present, that he has been starved of it for an extended period of time. But because he knows that it does not have to be this way, he wills himself to leave his Exile and to seek refuge in a place that will not only provide safety, but also love: Technoblade’s house.
Tommy’s relationship with Technoblade, though complicated near the end, was one of love in care, even if that wasn’t explicitly shown all the time. Techno made an effort to include Tommy in his plans, even if he was more of a liability than a helping hand. He let Tommy live in his house and build on his land, even if these builds were an eyesore or a clear indication that Tommy was hiding in his house. He lied right to Dream’s face to save Tommy. These are all, at their core, acts of love, and ones that Tommy responds to positively. Throughout the arc, Tommy is in a delicate state; he is in the process of learning how to live without the threat of abuse looming over his head. It is this love that aids Tommy in his journey. Ghostbur is present for both this arc and Exile, and his friendship is just as important to Tommy. Ghostbur does stir up some bouts of sadness in Tommy just because he’s also Wilbur in a way, but simply being Tommy’s friend and showing him compassion helps Tommy feel better, even in darker moments. He helps Tommy’s grieving process, in a way, by being an outlet for Tommy’s emotions. Tommy doesn’t necessarily get the answers he wants, but he gets something, and that something is taken to heart. Later on in the arc, in the Community House conflict, Tommy says that the discs were worth more than Tubbo. This, obviously, is not true, and Tommy immediately regrets it. He realizes that he does not like the person he is becoming. He does not want to be violent or defensive. He realizes that love was missing in his actions and motivations, which was part of why he was acting in such a hostile way. Tubbo and Tommy go on to apologize for what they’ve done quickly before beginning preparations for Doomsday.
Tommy does not want New L’Manberg to be blown up because it was, at one point, his home, and he knows that people will be put in danger if it’s blown up. However, the even bigger part of this is that Tommy saw Wilbur and L’Manberg as the same thing, so if L’Manberg was destroyed, Wilbur would be destroyed as well. L’Manberg was one of the last “good things” Tommy had of Wilbur, so he didn’t want to see it be ripped apart. This, again, is an example of love as one of Tommy’s motivations; he does not want to see something and someone he loves get blown up for the second time. When the event actually occurs, he argues with Techno so much not just because he disagrees with what’s going on, but because he sees Techno as his friend. He wants to reach some kind of middle ground. Him fighting to make Techno, Dream and Phil stop is an act of love toward L’Manberg and Wilbur.
The Disc War Finale, as a whole, can be characterized by love. For Tommy specifically though, this takes many forms. While fighting with Dream, Tubbo is compromised and Tommy is forced to choose between the discs (which he thought were real), and Tubbo. It is true that Tommy hesitated, and it’s definitely not one of his greatest moments. But this hesitation takes place because of the amount of stress he is under. If he gives up his discs, he’ll have Tubbo, but he will not be free from Dream’s harassment. If he lets Tubbo die, which is what Tubbo is insisting on because he knows what the stakes are, then he will be free to live in peace. Despite the offering of freedom, Tommy rejects it in favor of saving Tubbo, his best friend. Tommy gave up what he thought was the only way to be relieved from Dream’s abuse in favor of protecting his best friend. This is an act of love. Later on in the stream, when Tommy was told of Dream’s plan to kill Tubbo, he pleaded for a different option, for any other resolution, if it meant that Tubbo could live. Tommy was willing to place himself in danger, in the hands of his abuser, if it meant that Tubbo could live. I sound like a broken record at this point, but this is an act of love. After everyone on the server piles in and Tommy kicks Dream’s ass, (“Dream, put your armor in the hole” will always be iconic) Dream reveals that he has the power to revive people, and would be willing to revive Wilbur. Here, Tommy is presented with yet another deal that involves his freedom. He can either kill Dream and never have to worry about being targeted by him again, or he could keep Dream around and run that risk for even the possibility that Dream would revive Wilbur. Tommy chooses Wilbur. Time and time again, Tommy chooses Wilbur, because he loves Wilbur. They lock Dream up in prison, Tommy takes his discs, and listens to them with Tubbo while Wilbur speaks to Tommy through the mortal plain. In this moment, Tommy acts with love, and receives it as well.
The Hotel Arc is Tommy’s healing arc, and it is here where he learns how to direct the love he gives to others to himself. With Dream locked away, he has the opportunity to process his traumas and his actions, which he hadn’t been able to really do since Wilbur’s death. This process helps him reconnect with others and with himself. He gains a better understanding of how he reacts in high pressure situations, and he learns how to really live again, not just survive, without someone else watching over him. He builds the Big Innit Hotel and invites most of the server, including Techno, because he wants his hotel to be a place of refuge if things go to shit. He wanted to be there for others, even for those he wasn’t on good terms with. Obviously, this is an act of love. Tommy does a lot of introspective work at this time, and grants himself the patience to work through his issues. He allows himself to be optimistic, and he works very hard to get better. All of these are acts of love, just directed inward.
Tommy’s acts of love do not make another appearance until Wilbur’s revival because, unsurprisingly, being killed and then brought back by your abuser does not leave a lot of room for love (though this can be its own essay). Tommy is very callous toward Wilbur when he is first revived, and even says that Wilbur should be dead. Not a great start. But it doesn’t take long for Tommy to begin giving Wilbur a tour of the server. Even when Wilbur says that he never cared for L’Manberg, even when he tries to physically fight Tommy, Tommy never stops giving Wilbur the tour. This is an act of love, because Wilbur is clearly antagonizing Tommy, yet Tommy does not leave when he has every chance to do so. This, however, is unhealthy, and really marks the start of their complicated relationship post revival. This behavior only continues when Wilbur and Tommy create Paradise next to Las Nevadas. Wilbur hurts Tommy here as well by fighting with Quackity over who was the “better choice” and by practically begging Tommy to stay with him. Right before he leaves, Wilbur says, “what could go wrong in a prison?” after Tommy repeatedly stated that Dream was dangerous, and that he died in the prison because of Dream. Clearly, Tommy isn’t being treated well, and he’s aware of that fact. Yet he still decides to stick with Wilbur, even if it’s against his better judgment. He loves Wilbur and now struggles to see himself without him. Tommy staying with Wilbur is an act of love, but like last time, is an unhealthy one. This unhealthy behavior doesn’t really stop at all, and frankly, it just gets worse.
Tommy really trusts Wilbur, despite having no real reason to. This is an act of love. In the Inconsolable Differences stream, Tommy reveals that he was driven to suicide due to the abuse he endured from Dream. This in and of itself is an act of extreme love and trust. He has not told anyone about what happened to him in Exile, let alone the end result of it. The fact that he told Wilbur is an extreme display of trust. Wilbur then creates a plan to get back at Dream without telling Tommy any of the details. Wilbur just asks Tommy for the discs and to trust him. This is a huge ask. The discs are not only an attachment, but a representation of Tommy’s freedom. And Dream is a touchy, dangerous subject for Tommy. Yet still, he agrees to the plan blindly. This is another act of love. He trusts Wilbur enough to just say yes with little to no questions. Obviously, after the plan is enacted, Tommy is rightfully upset and pissed. Wilbur not only threatened to kill himself again, but he also got rid of Tommy’s discs. This is an extreme breach of trust, and Tommy digs into him. When Wilbur reveals that he didn’t get rid of the real discs, Tommy is stunned into silence. Wilbur explains that Tommy is now free, and Tommy thanks him. None of this stops Tommy from hanging out with Wilbur even more, which is a display of love, but again, it’s unhealthy. Wilbur is aware that he and Tommy are not good for one another at the moment. He knows that they are too reliant on one another, and that reliance hurts them both. He acknowledges that there is love there, but the hurt does not outweigh it. This comes to a head in their last stream together, Boundless Sands. Wilbur, purposefully vaguely, tells Tommy that he is leaving. Tommy notices that Wilbur is speaking the way that Tommy himself used to speak during Exile: vaguely, sadly, with the clear intention of death at the end of it without saying “death” specifically. This, understandably, freaks Tommy out, and when Wilbur does not let up on the vagueness, Tommy hits him with his sword. He immediately regrets this and says, “I never used to be this angry.” This is pretty much the biggest example of why they should be apart. One causes the other too much stress, and it ends with both of them getting hurt. Wilbur then drops the act and explains that he’s going to Utah. Wilbur tells him that he was L’Manberg, and that it was made to protect him. They exchange words and a book, and then Wilbur leaves. Tommy is really upset by this, but he doesn’t try to stop Wilbur from leaving. He doesn’t threaten him with violence, he doesn’t beg. He stands on the shore and watches as Wilbur rows out into the sea. Instead of fighting, he lets Wilbur go in the hope that he’ll be happier. This is the final act of love that Tommy gives to Wilbur, and it is the final act of love that is reciprocated.  Tommy is a story of hope, of friendship, of attachment, of triumph, of primes. Tommy is a story of grief, of brothers, of homes, of healing, of failed pranks. But at the heart of all of it, Tommy is a story of love. It is present in almost every part of his life. By loving others and himself, Tommy learns how to live, despite, despite, despite.

A little Drabble for cDnF week! Day 1- Early SMP days
Dream thinks he would like to live forever.
Not as some all-knowing deity or cursed hero, no. That’d be a tragic life to bear.
No, what Dream craves is infinity. To live forever as one with the earth, forever watching over the lands he has brought into existence.
His hand roams over sweet smelling grass, and he thinks that maybe he’d like to be a tree, having his roots become tangled with the earth.
Content with his place in the world, he collapses onto the soft grass, face straining towards the sun as a flower would. His eyes fall shut, the sun bathing his face in a dazzling light. He sighs. Content.
Though the world is still young, Dream knows that he holds a deeper connection with it than Georege or Sapnap or Callahan. He feels tied to the world, some invisible lead wrapped firmly around his heart, proclaiming him to the land.
He’s toyed with the sensation in his heart before, probing it, searching for a reaction. But no matter how hard he concentrates or how earnestly he spins the sensation around within him, it always ends with nothing spectacular happening.
Dream wonders if he should share this idea with George, but he already knows the reaction it will earn out of his boyfriend. An enamored smile accompanied by a sigh. George has long-since become accustomed to Dream’s wild assumptions. It is rare that Dream can take him by surprise.
In the end, Dream caves in and shares his secret hope whilst cuddled up against George. They sit on a fallen log, a flickering fire, courtesy of Sapnap, crackles warmly before them.
Mindlessly, Dream links their hands together before whispering, “Would you love me if I was a tree?”
A smile has already bloomed on Dream’s face, and he waits for George to turn to face him so that they can smile together under the stars. The joy between them is infectious. Dream knows it’s only moments until he hears George’s tinkling laugh, and he grips tighter on the smaller hand kept safely in his.
Rather than laughing immediately, George looks curiously as Dream before a grin cracks along the surface of his pale face.
“What?” He asks, amused.
Without missing a beat, Dream quickly begins his spiel, elaborately explaining the concept of becoming one with the earth, inseparable from the thing he treasures most.
By the time he’s finished, George is listening intently, giving serious thought to the matter Dream has presented.
“I think I understand what you’re saying, but how will you become a tree?” A asks, intrigue in his voice.
Dream only shrugs, attention drawn to the way the moonlight reflects off of George’s pale skin.
“That’s a problem for future Dream. I have my whole life to figure it out.” He says dismissively.
Now that he’s freed his idea into the world, his mind finally knows calm. He relaxes against George’s back, tilting his head so it rests on his shoulder. The position puts an uncomfortable amount of strain on his neck, but it allows him to see his two favorite things simultaneously, so he silently endures.
George scoffs, stars twinkling brightly behind him.
“As long as you don’t become like, obsessed with your pursuit of immortality.”
Dream laughs.
“Yeah no.”
George smiles at him.
“One really good life with you is all I need.” Dream admits, earnest.
He visibly sees George soften, his gaze bearing such tender fondness that Dream fears he may seep into the earth.
George presses a gentle kiss to his forehead, lips warm. Dream sighs.
Life is perfect.

Okay, So That DSMP Finale
Since everyone else is giving their two cents, I’ll give mine as well. There is A LOT of discourse about C!Tommy and C!Dream’s interactions here, and frankly a lot of people seem to be just looking at it surface level and not actually giving real thought to their interaction. First off; C!Tommy did not necessarily forgive C!Dream for what he did. Assumptions are being made here. Just because C!Tommy now understands C!Dream’s motives DOES NOT mean he believes the other was justified, and NEITHER DOES C!DREAM. In the stream, when C!Tommy says he thought C!Dream was the villain, C!Dream actually interjects and says he IS the villain because he TORTURED C!Tommy. There is ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that what he did was AWFUL, from BOTH characters. People also seem to think that just because C!Tommy is a victim means nothing he ever did wrong matters. That, also, is NOT TRUE. C!Tommy, in the beginnings of the server and through much of the story, DID cause a LOT of trouble and harm to others, INCLUDING C!Dream. Does this justify abuse? NO. But dismissing his actions is not valid either. A character can be a victim while also causing harm. This doesn’t negate their victimhood. The DSMP is full of morally gray characters. There aren’t many who count as full heroes or villains. Almost everyone in the SMP has done something awful before, but also done very good things. Nothing in this world is black and white, but many people here seem to think it is, which is a very unhealthy way to view the world. C!Tommy is a victim of C!Dream. But that DOES NOT mean that C!Dream is not also a victim in his own right. Let’s remember that it is an unfortunate fact that some victims of abuse sadly become abusers themselves. No, it does NOT justify what he did. But someone CAN be a victim AND an abuser, and C!Tommy realized that about C!Dream. C!Tommy was willing to give C!Dream a chance to change. A chance to be better, to come out the other side. He was willing to let C!Dream PROVE he had good intentions for the server and the people in it. The culture of damnation on the internet can be sickening sometimes. No one is entitled to your forgiveness, acceptance, or second chances, but that doesn’t mean that you get to dictate who deserves OTHER PEOPLE’S grace. C!Tommy made a choice to let C!Dream TRY. Would he ever fully trust or forgive him? Likely not, and that’s okay, because that’s a completely valid response to everything C!Dream did to him. But to say that it’s ‘bad writing’ or ‘insulting’ for C!Tommy’s character to have compassion for him after a moment of understanding that frankly, they should have had a long time ago before it went this far, is narrow minded and toxic. People are dynamic. They can change. Circumstances can shape us, and that’s what happened to both C!Dream and C!Tommy. C!Tommy witnessed living proof that C!Dream was capable of compassion, and he decided to let him try to do that again. They both have trauma, trauma that made them both do things they regret in the long run, but in that moment before the nuke hit, they finally saw light at the end of the tunnel for them both, to come out the other side as better people. It’s frankly similar to C!Wilbur and C!Quackity’s respective arcs. Both did terrible things, a lot of which traumatized and hurt people around them, yet both had endings that, at least from their perspective, seemed hopeful in some sense. (Though don’t get me started on Utah.) And honestly? The nuke hitting seemed poetic in its own way. C!Tommy saying it was too late had a poetic punch. Because whether C!Dream proved he could change or not, in the eyes of some of the fandom, it WAS too late, as we see with the discourse over the ending. There are people here who WON’T forgive C!Dream, who WON’T let him move on, because they see what he did as irredeemable. But there are also people who WANTED to see him change, to prove himself and be a better person. It was too late to please everyone. So perhaps it was better for us to never know. As for the reset at the ending, I don’t know yet. There are so many things that could happen here. We have to remember that DreamXD very well could come back into play at some point, and as a god, he likely remembers everything. The Egg may or may not return, as it also is a creature not of this world. I do think it will be interesting to see different character dynamics play out in the new server, how things would change depending on who became friends and enemies. How much of the old story that will come into play, we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m willing to give it a chance though, because honestly, I love the CCs, and whether you’re sick of DSMP content or not, they’re having fun, they’re happy doing it, and that’s what matters to me. Let them have their silly Minecraft servers and let them tell their stories. There are still a lot of us who enjoy it, even if not every story beat hits. Just remember that not every interpretation is surface level, and assuming the worst of something just because it wasn’t how you would end it is frankly the worst way you can approach the situation.
