sent: december 16th 2022. once again, i am the queen of finding old posts. and you all said i should tag things so i can find them later, ha.

'NEVERMORE' we all knew would come out on top. this is THE brainworm. the piece de resistance. the swansong except i'm not quitting or dying when it's done. hopefully. i haven't told anyone but i'm very aware this could blow out to 200 or 300k if i finish it, and it's. i just love it. unfettered creativity etc. Nevermore is based on the stray kids cinematic universe, the music videos and performances that all connect to tell a story, but even if you don't know stray kids, i think you can read it - it's about a group of boys (a band? a group of musicians?) stumbling into another world that is made of music and controlled by a strict government, and their journey back home to their own time and place, and the things that are left in their wake. it's huge and it's long and it's the first time i've reached 70k and still felt like i have a hand on all the plot lines without leaving plot holes in my wake.

'The Gone And The Gathered' is a zombies fic set in an au where zombietown is treated as an internment camp by Seabrook, also based on ghettos/concentration camps from WW2. Zombies are used to run the power plant and supply electricity and water to Seabrook and have never left the town; werewolves are known wild entities, and some have been captured as they are Useful in maintenance in the power plant. The story follows teenaged Wanda and Zoey through a series of discoveries about their world and the ripple effect this has on Zombietown and the world beyond the walls that they have never seen - and it's about staying quiet and accepting your lot in life, or daring to strike out and create a better future for yourself and your people, even if it might mean sacrificing yourself.

'Turn Your Back On Mother Nature' is a MCU Eternals fic, focused on Druig and Makkari. It contains five canon compliant scenes that, given my own director's cut, I would have added to the movie - not meant to change anything, but just meant to complement the plot and the character's own individual storylines and give more depth and meaning. I feel like I really excel at working within the boundaries given by a certain media and it's one of the main things that keeps me coming back to the challenge of writing fanfiction, and I'm so proud of the job that I did on this - it's well written, my character work really stands out, and I thought the scenes really worked to capture each idea I was trying to express. mwah good job roo.

'To Go Beyond Your Borders' is my pokemon comfort fic. It follows Angie, the champion of Sinnoh but also a disgraced public figure, and a journey of self-discovery as she runs away to Galar to compete in the Gym Challenge there. I started writing this in my depression/anxiety era, and in a lot of roundabout ways a lot of the themes/Angie's struggles are based on challenges I've faced in the last few years, so this fic is. Really cool, and something I keep coming back to as I really like the story I built for it. If more mature pokemon journeys is something you're interested in, this is the fic for you - and the composition of it, with social media interlaced with traditional storytelling, is so fun, I love doing it and coming up with the different bits and where they'll make the most impact. This is just so fun to work on and more people should read it so I make it more of a priority cause seeing this finished one day is going to make me so happy.

'if only we knew (the things we know)' and it's sequel, 'and the chasm grows', two of my long zombies stand-alones, are the fics i always think of first when asked what writing I'm most proud of. The themes are big - death, and knowing that you're going to die soon (cancer related themes, though this isn't about cancer), and facing down the idea of genocide of your entire race. They're very dark, as they have to be, and they're very hopeless, and whenever the odd reader comes along they tell me that they cried, and yet I think I managed to find a little bit of warmth in each, the strings of community and family and comfort that hold on until the very end. I specifically recommend the final scene of chasms, which i wrote in a blinding flash of inspiration and will never be able to recreate - it sticks with me even now, and while I can't remember certain other scenes from these fics, I will never forget that ending, and the way it made me as the writer feel when i finished and looked back on it.

Druig has been wandering around the Domo and checking all the rooms and halls. Its been a long time, a really long time. Its all the same, nothing much has changed except the mess Makkari made in the lab. He never got the chance to look around the time they all returned, of course due to the imminent end of the planet and Ikaris' whole betrayal thing.

Makkari's bedroom was right there, door slighty ajar, lights off. Druig hesitated, maybe it was an invasion of her privacy, but the door was open anyways so he stepped in. First thing he saw was a flat screen television and he chuckled to himself. Makkari definitely clearly told Kingo she didn't have a television to watch his movies on.

So he clicked on the remote and turned it on, lo and behold, Makkari has her Netflix account open and her most recent continue watching is, as Druig laughed, Kingo's infamous film, Shadow Warrior. She shouldn't have left her door open.

"Makkari, darling," Druig called out as he walked out of her room to find her at the end of the hall. "Come!" he signed, grinning mischievously.

Split second and she's already right there in front of him, slighty annoyed but still smiling expression, Why were you in my room? she signed.

"Well, why did you tell Kingo you haven't watched his movies? Clearly, you like them. He might be wounded and insulted, you know."

"Shut up! He's already got an unbearable ego, we all know that."

"Kingo!! Come here! Makkari has something to show you!" Druig suddenly shouted, casually inviting Kingo over just to tease her.

Makkari hastily put her hands in front of her lips, signing shut up repeatedly, dragging him outside her room and slammed the door close.

Kingo showed up, as well as Thena and Sersi, curious what it is that Makkari wanted to to show them.

"Well what is it?" Kingo asked

It's nothing! Druig was just making fun of me! she signed.

"No, no, she does have something to show you, something very important. It'll make you very happy, I swear," Druig said, a smug grin plastered on his face. Makkari wanted nothing more than to slap that smile off his pretty face right now.

"Come on, just say it!" Thena rolled her eyes playfully, faking annoyance but actually amused, just like Sersi.

Makkari had to stop him, it's embarrassing, its humiliating, and she already lied so she has to cover it up. Maybe I could just carry him and run away at the speed of sound? Okay, that is really inconvenient, she thought.

"Makkari, my love, has a tele-" Druif has barely started his sentence when Makkari kissed him out of the blue. Her lips soft and slighty cold, swift and it lasted a second. It was a second longer than Druig thought he would ever have.

He stood there, holding back the brightest of smiles but unable to form a coherent thought or sentence.

Sorry! Makkari signed, her face mortified but softened a little at Druig's more heartening reaction.

"This?? Is what you wanted?? To show us??" Kingo scream-whispered, visibly horrified and confused, "Why would you show us?!"

Makkari dashed off, as quick as she usually is and maybe faster, away from everything. She just stopped Druig from telling her embarrassing story with another humiliating action. Wow, Makkari, how smart of you, she thought to herself as she ran.

Thena already slowly but not-so quietly walked away, rather uncomfortable, like she was intruding.

Sersi just had a knowing smile on her face, "Just wait for her," she said, "she'll come back. You might want to talk to her."

Druig nodded, agreeing. The thing is, he knows and have acknowledged his feelings for Makkari long ago. Why else would he be constantly flirting with her? Calling her love or darling or princess. Telling her she's beautiful and getting that satisfying smiling reaction from her. He knows, too, how Makkari likes him and she doesn't really hide her faint smiles and looks of love.

He doesn't know why she had to run. He loves her, for goodness sake, he really does. Waiting anxiously for Makkari to come back, running through the endless possible scenarios of what's to come.

When Makkari comes back an hour later, Druig was still in the same place, sitting on the floor and leaning against the cold wall, fidgeting with the zipper of his jacket. So she sat beside him, not leaving much space between them.

Hey, she signed and her eyes were soft, looking right him, Sorry for running. I was embarrased. I needed to think and I figured it out.

"Everything's alright, don't worry. Kissing me was alright too." he laughed.

She buried her head in her hands, her body shaking from laughing as well.

"I'm not gonna say I didn't like it, I liked it. I like you." Druig said as Makkari lifted her head and looked at him. "Hell, I just might be in love with you."

I love you too, she signed, slowly but without hesitation, as if to emphasize her intent, and we have waited too long. I love you.

He tucks a strand of hair behind her ear and asks, Can I kiss you this time? and she nods, tilting her head.

Makkari thinks that after knowing how he tasted like fresh sea air and completely pure love, she'll never have to feel alone anymore. And for Druig, having her smaller frame in his embrace is the reassurance that they were always going to be fine. They were smiling, like they've never been happier. Makkari can hear his heartbeat, not quicker than usual but at peace, calm and Druig can feel her thoughts, at peace, calm.

"Theyre so disgustingly in love," Kingo whispered at the end of the hallway, alerting the two.

Go away, Kingo, you're being weird again, Makkari signed.

"By the way, we were gonna tell you Makkari watches your movies on her television that does exist," Druig said, quickly and rushing to get the whole sentence out before she stops him again.

Makkari slaps him in the head anyways.

Note: I just wanted to clarify if I don’t specify how they are communicating, they are using sign language. I just feel like the word sign writen over and over and over again would be making it less readable.

Also note: here it is a bigger time jump as I just wanted to show the bigger moments in there life, not draging it too long.

You stand in the house Ajak lived that now is yours. You look at Thena, and tears are filling your eyes. She looks at you smiling, but you can see sadness in her eyes.

“Don’t make me cry!” You sign.

“Just make sure you are going to be safe!” She hugs you, and you can’t keep the tears back.

“You should keep yourself safe!“ you answer. “You have aunt duties now!” You chuckle with tearful eyes. “We will be just fine!” You point in Druig’s way.

“Are you sure?” She asks as he is eating again, even you haven’t steped into the house 5 minutes ago.

“Out of food quickly, but fine!”

“Hey! I’m not eating that much!” Druig looks in your way.

“Yes you do!” Comes from Thena. She hugs both of you one more time before walking out, turning back one more time on the balcony before leaving with Eros.

“We are officially alone!“ he wishpers into your nap as he hugs you from behind, still nibbling on something.

“Never again…” you turn in his way, putting your hands around his neck. Hi puts his hand on your stomach. As surreal it was as happy you were about it. Even you have no bump yet, but the morning sickness was a sure sign that you have a child under your heart.

He kisses you, so gently you feel like you are a fragile doll. “I’m not fragile!” You look at him a little mad. “Stop acting like you could hurt me…us!”

“Aren’t you?” He smooths your hair with a cocky smile on his face.

“No, I’m not!” You kiss him sudenly, with all the passion in the world. He grabs your butt and you jump on his waist. He walks to your room in a second and puts you on the bed, not parting your lips even for a second. It was it, the thing that you missed in the last 2 weeks since you find out you are pregnant.

He pulls your dress up and grabs your hip filled with so much lust you moan into his mouth. You dig your fingers into his waist getting into his t-Shirt.

He starts to undress you buttom by buttom, and you know you are lost.

“A boy…” Druig mumbles under his nose while driving home. You watched him all the way so you saw all the 13 times he told himself. You always pictured your child as a boy, to be fair a little version of Druig. You could tell he is suprised, and amazed by the news you just got.

“Do you want to tell yourself one more time, or can I talk to you?” You smile at him.

“Tell myself what?”

“A boy…”

“Did I? It’s just I always imagined him as a Mini you…” he looks confused as you start to giggle. “What?”

“As I imagined him as a Mini you!”

“Really?”

“Who do not want to look into one more pair of piercing blue eyes every day?” You smile at him. “He really well played this hiding game.” You giggle as you already at the finish line.

As you slowly get out of the car Druig is already there helping you out. Super fast or not you got bigger and bigger and it started to be difficult in situations. He kisses your belly and wishpers. “We can’t wait to meet you.”

You two spent the afternoon watching tv snacking and cuddleing. He couldn’t keep his hand off of your belly, as in the last months.

You went to bed with a strange feeling, but you didn’t tell him because even you don’t know what it means or means even something. But around midnight you find out it means something. Your water just brokes. You shake Druig and already panic.

“Hey, something is wrong?” He ask and you shake so badly you can’t even tell him, but you don’t need to, as the wetness reaches him. “Hey, Hey, don’t panic!” But you can’t stop panicing. You can’t go to a doctor, you just don’t know if he borns with powers that he can’t control or not, you know women gave birth for centuries without hospitals, but still you panic. “Fuck. You know I didn’t wanted to use this, not now, not on you, I love you.” He kisses your cheek before his eyes are turning gold. “Relax, let all the bad toughts go!” You feel how you can’t control anything, but relax in a second. His hand is shaking as he smooths some hair out of your face. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t wanted to control you…ever.”

“It’s okay, you needed to do this.” You sign as you are not shaking anymore. “Thank you!”

“You know I can help you, I did with many women before…” he looks deep in your eyes and it makes you even more ease even he is not controling you.

Four exhausting hours later you hold your son in your arms, while Druig holds you. “He is beautiful!” He wishpers into your nape.

“He is!” You sigh.
