If your imaginative mind had its way, Eddie Munson would be six feet underground at the moment. At least, that was what your glare toward the president of Hellfire Club seemed like to everyone else.
Although, your murderous intent wasn’t for the reason that most people associate Eddie with.
You, on the other hand, were in love with Eddie Munson. Your vendetta against the metalhead was completely different from the rest of them.
Usually, people hate Eddie Munson because he’s a freak, an outcast, a loser, and a devil worshiper. They would immediately pin the blame on Eddie for the crazy things that go on in Hawkins, Indiana. They would seek him out to tell him about how his club is some cult that conspires against the government—or something.
You, though, loved his crazy antics of singing and hopping around. You loved his passion for Dungeons and Dragons and watched him for hours writing a new campaign. You loved the way he hid his face in his hair when he got nervous. You loved the way he tapped his rings on any hard surface.
You love Eddie Munson.
The main issue was that you and Eddie had a…thing. What kind of thing were you? You had no clue which was driving you up the damn wall.
It was some unspoken thing when Eddie whispered in your ear that he needed you. It was an unspoken thing when you gave Eddie a blowjob in his beat-up van. It was an unspoken thing when you and Eddie fucked on more than one occasion.
It was the unspoken, unmentioned thing that was tearing you apart, especially since his newfound attention was dead set on Chrissy Cunningham. You watched as Chrissy’s head fell back in laughter at something Eddie had said and threw a french fry at him.
To make matters even worse, it was you that introduced them. You knew Chrissy Cunningham was one of the genuinely—rare—nice cheerleaders out in the world. After you had graduated, she and Eddie were the only ones to actually give a shit about you. So, you were the one that told Eddie to not judge a book by its cover.
And now, you were seriously regretting your actions. The thing is, you didn’t hate Chrissy. Far from it, in fact. You understand better than most people how Eddie could light up a room in a matter of seconds. Hell, she’s your friend, too. A good friend.
Instead, you placed all of your hatred and ire onto Eddie. Was it deserved? Probably not, but your feelings were too jumbled and fused together. You couldn’t stand the thought of pure, loud rejection from the love of your life, so your mind retreated to a safe space of anger.
“Where did you go?” You scoot back into the booth, which was opposite of Eddie and Chrissy—which burned a hole through your heart, no doubt.
“I told you I was going to the bathroom, didn’t I?” You winced at the harsh tone you sent Eddie’s way. You hadn’t meant for it to be that cruel sounding, but you’re a bit on edge.
“Shit, I only asked.” He held his hands up in defense. “What’s got you so riled up?”
You sigh. “Sorry. I-I’m—um—gonna go. I forgot that Robin needed me for something. Enjoy your meal, guys.” You heard both of their protests as you walked away. You couldn’t dare look back or you knew you would immediately give into them.
Jesus Christ, you need to get a hold of yourself and your feelings. How long until they both corner you to ask what’s wrong?
That exact problem of what was wrong was about to send you into a downward spiral. It was like you couldn’t even look or think about the man without your heart exploding into fireworks.
You were entirely jealous of their requited feelings—more so, jealous that Eddie was smitten for another girl that wasn’t you.
Shit, you really love Eddie Munson.
~~
Ever since that day that you left the diner, it felt like Chrissy and Eddie were inseparable. Your heart split into thousands of little pieces as you watched them hang out. More specifically, hanging out without you.
His arm was always around her waist, pulling her closer to him. Their smiles were always bright, and their eyes looked at each other like they hung the moon. Goddamn, it was annoying and so thoroughly heartbreaking.
So, when Eddie invited you to hang out with him at his trailer—alone—you were surprised. You two hadn’t hung out for about two months, and your heart had seriously suffered. Unbeknownst to you, though, his heart suffered too.
You walked through the door of his trailer and sat your bag down near a bookshelf. You could hear rustling from his bedroom, most likely trying to find his pre-rolled weed. You sat yourself down onto the couch, and your shoulders almost felt stiff against the worn leather.
You watched him bounce around as he walked into the room, surprised by his giddiness and excited expression. In his mind, it was super jumbled and filled with nerves at being able to hang out with you again.
He sits down next to you with a bowl of popcorn and reaches for the remote. He puts on your favorite movie, and that’s when you finally started to relax. Maybe being around Eddie wasn’t as bad for your heart as you thought it was. Maybe there was still something for you to give him even if he can’t give it back.
Which is exactly why you’re in this situation right now and you didn’t even know when it had happened. Scratch that. Was it even happening now? Were you dreaming?
Amongst the small discussions about life and passing snacks around, somewhere in between, Eddie had kissed you. He kissed you so feverishly and passionately that it knocked the wind out of you, and—fuck—you had missed this.
Had it been minutes? Hours? Who even knew at this point.
All you knew was that Eddie’s lips on your neck and his hands on your hips felt heavenly—absolutely cosmic. You were laid down on the couch, back against the cushions with Eddie’s face between your neck.
He was on top of you, a hand moving around your body as if he was savoring every moment, while the other kept him propped up. His tongue swirled around the already irritated skin from his teeth sinking into your neck.
You whimpered, hands gripping his hellfire t-shirt. “You like that, sweetheart?” He continued his biting, becoming more brutal by the second. “Mhm? Why don’t you tell me how much you like it, yeah?”
Before you could even answer him, there’s a knock at the door. You both freeze, his own eyes wide with something that almost looked like guilt. You don’t dare to move, too focused on the big reality check that slapped you in the face.
“Eddie? Are you there?” A sullen pit sunk into your stomach at the sound of that voice.
Chrissy.
Chrissy was here. At Eddie’s trailer wanting something: drugs, homework, or maybe Eddie.
While you’re in your own head, Eddie’s looking at you with concern. He opens his mouth to ask you something, but it quickly shuts as the pounding on his door continues.
Eddie cursed under his breath, “Sorry, let me just do this real fast—”
Before you know it, that little green devil floods through your veins. You grab Eddie and slightly shove him back onto the couch. His eyebrows were furrowed in confusion, and you would’ve thought it was cute if the pure rage wasn’t burning through your system.
“What the f—” The words completely die on his tongue as you’re straddling his waist. You lean in close to him, one of your hands gripping his throat. He let out a surprised whimper as his shoulders tensed under your harsh gaze.
“Try to answer the door, Eddie.” Your jaw is tight, eyes filled with fury, “Try it.” You could feel him gulp beneath your hand, and then he’s biting his lip.
It would be the biggest lie in the history of lies if he wasn’t turned on by what you just did. You had practically manhandled him onto the couch, and your hand was on his throat. Holy shit. He could feel his cock twitch ever so slightly at that look between your eyes.
“Is she gone?”
Silence. No bounding on doors, no calls for Eddie, and no jiggling of the doorknob. Absolute silence.
“Yeah, she is.”
You smirked, fingers squeezing his neck ever so slightly, “good.”
He lets out a strangled moan as you start to grind onto his hips. You rolled them across his bulge that was poking out from his ripped jeans, and his head rolled back in pleasure.
“You like that, Eddie?” You mocked. “Why don’t you tell me how much you like it, huh?”
His jaw slacked open, and if it was even possible, he got harder. “F-Fuck, I–” Your hand on his neck squeezed a little, prompting a small moan from him.
The sound buzzed through your ears, and an almost primal instinct flooded through you. You were getting way too impatient, so you stood up—definitely earning a whine from Eddie.
You tugged your jeans and underwear down, and Eddie started to do the same—lifting his ass off the couch and shimming them down his legs. Before you could start taking your shirt off, Eddie grabs you by the hips and plops you onto his lap.
“You are driving me fucking crazy, you know that?”
“Fuck, Eddie—” You barely have any time to react before he’s crashing his lips onto yours. His hands are making dents into your hips, and his lips are sucking and biting against your own. The feel of his calloused hands on yours and the wet kisses he was giving you was absolutely addicting. It makes your mind fuzz into warmth.
You break the kiss, looking down to see his hard member pressed against your stomach. You practically drool at the sight. He was big and oh so thick. He smiles, “like what you see, baby?”
You nod, no longer wanting to wait, and aligned his cock with your cunt. You slide down and grip his shoulder—leaving harsh indents from your fingernails. Your walls were wet and thick—another thing that he missed. “Oh fuck—shit—”
You started to move up against his cock before coming down again. “Eddie, Oh my god—” His hand went underneath your shirt and molded your breasts around it. You moaned against his cheek, faces just inches away from one another.
“Fuckin’ mine, baby, you got that?” His eyes widened at the aspiration that whispered between your lips. “Say it, Eddie. Say that you’re mine.”
“‘M yours. I’ve always been yours.” His eyes flicker between watching his cock disappear and your euphoric expression with your mouth agape to let out a sultry moan. It was just music to his ears.
His little confession seemed to send him over the edge because he’s helping you bounce on his cock, a harsh contrast to the man moments ago. Now he was rutting up into you and then slamming you back down onto him.
“Yeah, I’m fuckin’ yours, you got that? Put that into your pretty little head of yours. I belong to you.” He took your hand and placed it back onto his neck. You whimper as your walls clench, and it almost sends Eddie into a spiral.
“Yeah, you’re mine, baby—” You squeeze your fingers just a little around the base of his neck and he groans—almost animalistic sounding. You mewl at his cock hitting that sweet, honeyed spot, and you’re almost gripping his neck tighter.
“You gonna cum, sweetheart? You gonna stake your claim on me?” You can’t respond, your mind too focused on the tip of his cock rutting into you over and over and over. “Fuck, Eddie, I’m—”
Your body seizes as you cry out his name—the euphoric feeling flooding each and every five senses until all you can think or utter is Eddie. He’s still fucking into you—relentless with each thrust as he chases his own orgasm.
“Where do you—”
You whine at the overstimulation, “Inside, Eddie, please—”
The mere thought of your begging had floated into that space into his mind. Your puffy cunt is pulsating as his tick wet ropes of cum fill you up to the brim. “Shit, fuck, sweetheart—so fucking good.”
You both end up to a slow rhythm until he stops, body relaxing against the sofa. You tap his shoulder gently as you calm down, the only sounds of your chests heaving from the breath leaving your lungs.
You can’t quite tell the look on his face, something that felt almost odd. He opened his mouth until he closed it again, his hand squeezing your hip. It was as if you would disappear if he let you go.
“Listen… I–” You try to cut him off with your hand on his shoulder. You knew what was about to come—that loud rejection hitting the base of your stomach. But he shook his head, and that only surprised you.
“I can’t let you leave until you know how I feel.” He paused, eyes flickering towards you. “I love you. I’ve always loved you. I just—I just was too afraid to admit it. And then—” He chuckles a little and then reaches over to grab your hand. “And then you got jealous of Chrissy, today, and I knew you needed to know.”
Oh. Oh, shit. “You—What?”
He let out a breathless chuckle and started to wipe his thumb against your hip bone. He let the silence sit as you took in each of his words. He was trying to be nice, but his mind was starting to become way too loud.
And then you smiled. You smiled so wide, and it was beautiful.
“I love you too, Eddie. I love you so much. I have for so long.” He kisses you gently, smiling widely because he just can’t help it.
“Let's finish that movie, yeah?”
~~
“So…”
You looked up at Chrissy with furrowed eyebrows, sipping your milkshake. “So, what?”
She rolled her eyes slightly at you, “Tell me all the details about Eddie!” You choked on the cold liquid hitting your throat.
“W-What? How—”
She gave you a look, and then a sparkling glint in her eyes had almost shined. “Why do you think I told Eddie to hang out with you that day? And why do you think I coincidentally wanted drugs from him at the same time?” She paused, dipping a french fry into ketchup.
“You two were so miserable without each other, and it was driving me crazy, especially you, you know.” She reached over and grabbed your wrist, giving it a squeeze. “I knew about your feelings for Eddie before you could even figure it out yourself.”
Holy fucking shit. She knew. Who was this, and what have they done with Chrissy?
Your jaw hung open and then closed; you were astonished and astounded. “I don’t know whether to say thank you and hug you or punch your devious arm right now.”
She giggled, twirling her strawberry blonde hair between her fingers. “I’ll take the first option, thank you.”
“Yeah, yeah, come here, you little schemer.”

“Babe, I have a surprise for you,” Eddie called out from the bathroom. You were sprawled out on the bed, wearing nothing but the halloween themed lingerie you had picked out just for tonight. Earlier in the night, the two of you had gone trick-or-treating, watched scary movies, and we’re now getting to the good part of the night: intimate time with your lover.
“Oh really?” You taunt, grinning widely as you propped yourself on your elbows, waiting for him to come out of the bathroom. He hadn’t seen you in your vampiric inspired lingerie, and you were excited for him to see the red and black lace that decorated your skin. “Funny, I have one for you too,” you added.
The door opened and Eddie appeared shirtless, his black jeans hanging low on his hips. His face was adorned with a black and white mask mimicking the ghost face from your favorite horror movie, Scream.
“Holy shit…” the two of you said at the same time. You instantly became wet at the mere thought of Eddie pounding you from behind, looking back to see your hands tied and his mask ornamented on his face.  Eddie's pants became tight at the sight of you, beautiful curves and all highlighted by the tight strings and lacey features.
“You like?” You asked, smiling. You rested your hands on your breasts, squeezing delicately. You could practically hear his mouth watering at the sight. He didn’t say anything, he just slowly walked towards you, reaching for the bondage ropes that hung on the wall next to the bed.
“Ooh, already in character huh? You’re very goo-” you were cut off by Eddie’s hand clamping down on your mouth to shut you up. You couldn’t help but smile under his hand, a slight giggle escaping your throat. He flipped you over roughly, before getting on his knees on either side of you.
Eddie grabbed your hands, wrapping the rope tightly around your wrists that were held tightly against your back. The rub dug into your skin just enough to send a euphoric rush through your body and into your bones. You looked behind you, feeling yourself get slick at the sight; your thoughts from before had come to life. Eddie grabbed your thighs, propping your knees up under you. You rested your head on its side, watching as he slightly spread your knees apart more.
He lifted his mask up and rested it on his head, and you watched as his face disappeared behind you. His tongue instantly found your heat, tracing thick strings of saliva around your cunt. Moans escaped from your mouth at the feeling.
He slipped a finger in… then one more and you lost control, unable to stop the pornographc sounds escaping your mouth. His rings hit the rim of your entrance, the cold metal mixed with the warmth of his breath sent shock waves through your body.
“Fuck, Eddie, don’t stop,” you breathed out, gripping the sheets as you felt your orgasm coming quickly. You were right there, right on the edge… and suddenly the sensation was gone. Cold air hits your wet cunt, leaving you feeling empty and swollen all the same. You whimpered, turning back to look at Eddie who had placed the ghostface mask back on.
“Eddie… please?” You continued on whimpering, begging for him to fill you again, to aid you in finishing.
“Shhhh.” It came out muffled behind the mask, only enticing you even more. His hands moved to his belt, undoing it. The sound of metal fumbling against metal filled the air, his rings catching the low light of the bedroom, sparkling. You closed your eyes, reveling in the moment you were in, tied before your lover.
He flipped you over to your back, careful that your hands weren’t in an uncomfortable position under you, before moving to straddle your chest. He was now naked, save for the mask, and was playing with his cock. You opened your mouth, showing him how ready you were for him. He was smiling, but you couldn’t tell. The sight of you being so submissive under him to the point he no longer had to command you made him even harder- if that was possible.
He shoved his cock into your mouth, one of his hands moving to the back of your head to help support you. He thrusted deep and slow into your mouth, the sounds of you gagging against him making him dizzy. He let your head fall back on the pillow, and moved himself so he could thrust easier into your mouth.
The idea of you letting him use your holes how he wanted, thrusting hard and choking on him was enough to make the both of you feral. Tears pricked your eyes and fell down your cheeks at the lack of air you were receiving. Coupled with the choking sounds made Eddie want to absolutely lose control, taking full advantage of you being tied and unable to stop him…
… but he pulled out, not wanting to destroy you like that…yet. He let his wet dick trace against your chin, your neck, and then down to your breasts, before moving back down your body. He flipped you over so you were on your stomach again, and helped you prop your knees up again.
Suddenly, without warning, you were filled again, the size of him stretching you out. A low and animal-like grunt came from Eddie as he felt you clench around him. The feeling was almost too much for him, but he plowed into you, each stroke hitting the special spot that created the pornographic screams that were filling the air again.  He couldn’t see much out of the eyes of the mask, but what he could see made him go feral. The hazy sight of you before him, tied and ready for him to use as he pleased and how he pleased was so hot to him. He had to constantly keep himself in check, careful not to go too hard or too fast. He wanted you swollen and aching, not broken and seriously hurt.
“Fucking A, Eddie,” you managed to scream out, once again gripping the bed sheets. You dug your face into the pillow, allowing yourself to scream as he rammed into you from behind, his balls hitting your clit with such force it was bringing you to your edge once again.
“I’m… gonna… cum,” you grunted out, turning to look back behind you. Big mistake. You came right then and there, all over him.
Eddie didn’t care; he continued pumping into you. He was surprised he didn’t finish with you, the feeling of your slick cunt was euphoric. But since he didn’t, he continued, ignoring your cries to stop. He knew if you really wanted it to end, you’d use your safeword.
The animal-like grunts returned as he gripped your hips tighter, using them to steady himself as he thrusted into you. Sweat began to form on his chest, the sight of Eddie wet with sweat from his work done on you was bringing you to your edge again, and fast. Before you knew what was happening, your slick filled not just his cock inside of you, but sprayed all over his abdomen, adding to the glossiness of his sweat. Horror filled you as you just realized what you did for the very first time…
… you had just squirted all over Eddie.
“Fuck, y/n, that was hot,” Eddie grunted out, finally speaking. The reassurance made you feel instantly better, and you began taking control of your hips, rubbing against him.
“Yeah?” You egged him on for more praise, but he went back to silence, as he rolled his head back. The feeling of you moving on his dick making him literally drool behind the mask; if only you could see.
He felt his orgasm coming quickly, and allowed it to happen, filling you up deeply with his seed. The feeling almost made you cum again, but your body was too exhausted from the merciless pounding you just received to even try.
Eddie pulled himself out, the sudden rush of cold air making you involuntarily whimper again, and laid down on the bed next to you. You rolled to your side, cuddling up next to him, your hands still tied.
“You gonna untie me, slasher boy?” You asked, nodding to the mask.
“Oh you think we’re done?” He said, a smirk evident in his tone. You looked up at him, waiting for the ‘just kidding’ to fall from his lips.
He responded by flipping you over once more, this time so your back was against him, your hands laying flat against the top of his pubic line.
“We’re just getting started.”

Hi I was wondering if you could do an Eddie Munson x Fem!reader where their in the reader ends up being one of the victims for vecnas curse and Eddie is trying to save her but it can either end up with it being a fail or him actually saving her but you can choose. If you can't do this, I understand. I just wanted to ask.
Don't leave me! Eddie munson x reader

Tw:mention of family member death, car crash.
Note: I have a diego hargreeves request in the works :) gif not mine
If yall want to see a version of where the reader doesn't survive, let me know 👀)
Y/N had been dating Eddie for a few months now, they met in middle school and loved each other so much. She almost graduated without him, if it wasn't for the Loss of her mother. It took a toll on Y/N, she didn't go to school, and rarely took care of herself. She blamed herself for it. She wished she had walked her mother to the shop, even though the woman insisted she shouldn't since she'd be late for DND.
Eddie knew she blamed herself. He tried telling her every day that she didn't need to. That it wasn't her fault. But vecna convinced her otherwise. She had been getting nosebleeds and headaches for the past day. She hid them from the others though. She blamed her illusions on her spacing out. He couldn't get max, so he was trying to go for her next.
Eddie made her promise to tell her everything after Chrissy died. " I will, " She told him. Technically, she didn't say 'I promise '. That's how she saw it. She had gotten back to Eddie's trailer with the others, everyone calming down after being in the upside down and Nancy's scare. It was late and everyone was tired.
"You ok ?" Eddie asked Y/N as he wrapped an arm around her waist. She stood in his room, looking at all the tapes, the memories from photos. She wanted to see them again in case vecna got to her " yeah I'm good " Y/N smiled at him. She gently kissed his cheek and wrapped her arms around his torso. Eddie of course returned the hug, resting his chin on her head " are you sure? You seem a bit off lately " He asked her. He was worried for her. He didn't know if it was vecna or not but surely she'd tell them.
" I'm fine Eddie" She reassured him. They stayed like that for a few moments before she broke away from the hug hearing Dustin calling for them. She took his hand in his and walked out of the bedroom, heading out the trailer door behind the others. She felt a shiver going down her spine once she was outside. Not from the cold, but like someone was watching her.
She glanced behind and swore she saw her dad across the trailer park. She let go of Eddie's hand, causing him to stop walking. "What's wrong ?" He asked her, getting the other's attention. " I think I saw my dad, I'm gonna go see if I'm right," she told him. She began to walk away when he rushed after her "are you sure ?" He asked her. He didn't want to leave her, after what happened at his trailer he had become more clingy. " I'm sure. He's probably visiting a friend that lives near here. I know where Max's trailer is. I'll be fine " she reassured him, placing a hand on his cheek.
Eddie sighed quietly before kissing her hand, flashing a smile at her " alright then " He smiled. He kissed her head gently before turning around and walking after the others. Y/N turned around herself and jogged over to the figure who sure enough was her dad. "Dad!" She smiled happily as he turned around. He smiled brightly at her and held her gently in a hug once she was close enough.
"Whatcha doing out here ?" She asked him, closing her eyes in the hug. "Mourning " He responded, deadpanned. Y/N pulled away and looked at him " mourning mom out here?" She asked confused. " of course your unbothered by that. You probably don't care she died. You did let it happen after all " Her dad told her. She backed up with tears in her eyes. What- dad what the fuck?!" She yelled as she backed up.
Y/N noticed something out of the corner of her eye that made her heart drop. Vecna. She slowly backed up before she began sprinting towards the forest. Shit. Yet her actual body had stood still in the real world. Eddie glanced out the window in concern, she had been gone for quite a while now. His eyes winded in fear seeing her just standing there " no no no " He mumbled in horror. He ignored Dustins confused yells and sprinted outside.
OnceEddiee got close he began yelling out " Y/N? He,y what's wrong?" He asked. He had a horrible feeling he knew what was happening, he was just hoping he was wrong. Maybe she spaced out where she stood. He felt his heart drop once he walked around to face where she stood. His heart sunk seeing her eyes.
" no, no baby you can't leave me too. Don't do this, please. Come on you can fight him!" Eddie told her in a panic, hands cupping her face. He felt his heart beating fast. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked behind him, Dustin running over confused. "Dustin! Get a-ametallicaa tape and a tape player!" He yelled in tears. Dustin instantly knew why and ran back to the others, screaming for their help.
Eddie looked back at Y/N shaking her gently. "Babywakee up, please, wake up!" He told her as he shook her more. He was scared, he didn't want to lose her
Back in the other world, Y/N was running for her life into the woods, her heart dropping seeing everything turn red. What was this place? Why were their vines and a door? She let out a small scream feeling s vine wrap around her neck, pulling her back against a vine-covered pillar. "Y/N" Venca growled out as he approached her.
Sobs left Y/Ns throat as she watched him in fear as he was soon standing in front of her " your suffering, ends today " He told her. This was it. She'd never get to hear Eddie's voice again. She felt her body shake asvencaa reached out towards her. Suddenly, she heard a guitar, a familiar tune being played
Master of puppets
She looked to her left and saw a portal opening up. There she stood, headphones on, Eddie holding her close as her body tried to float up, his grip stopping her, their friends watching in worry. She had to get out. She looked back atvecnaa and glanced around for something. Then she noticed, her neck was the only thing being held down. Y/N used all her strength to send a kick to vecnas torso, knocking the wind out of him, and loosening the vines. She took it as an opportunity and began running.
She felt her heart racing as the song continued to play, Eddie's sobs mixed in, making her even more determined to reach him. She stumbled as things fell around her, but her eyes stayed focused on one thing only. Eddie.
She was just there, she reaches out towards the portal and-
Y/N took in a gasp of air feeling herself back in her body. Eddie pulled away slightly, a relieved sob escaping his throat as he gently holds her. He guides her to the ground and moves the headphones down around her shoulders, the song faintly still able to be heard. "It's ok, your here, I got you baby "He whispered to her as he rocked the two of them, the others sighing in relief.
Y/N held onto him as she shook in fear,  sobbing as her breath kept getting caught in her throat, her heart pounding in her ear. The others decided to back off for a few moments, giving the two room and space for Eddie to calm her down. They retreated to Max's trailer but stood outside so they could keep an eye on the two.
"Baby breathe, I've got you "Eddie reassured her, gently running his hand up and down her back. She listened to his words as she clung to the back of his denim jacket. "I'm sorry!" She repeated against sobs. She should have told him. "None of that now princess, I got you, " He told her gently, kissing the top of her head. They'd be alright. Eddie was going to make sure of it.

Insecurities.
Pairing: Joseph Quinn x reader
Category: Angus, fluff, comfort
Warnings: none, a little sad maybe
Note: my first post. I don’t usually write shorter stories but here we are. Enjoy!
———————
Most times when you look at Joe, everything’s falls in place. Whenever life and whatever higher power might exist tested you, he always found a way and washed them all away. That’s what attracted you to him, you theorized. The soothing atmosphere around him—as if the air was just different in his presence.
However, that air could also become quite heavy—especially when you fell in love with him. He had a schedule that was very testing to your relationship. While you enjoyed planning ahead and preferably avoided larger spontaneous happenings, his creerer demanded that of him.
You always cheered him on and pushed him to do what it took to go further in his work, even though you, in the back of your mind, knew what it meant. Perhaps you had thought he wouldn't get as big as he did, which made a sense of shame boil in your chest. Perhaps he wouldn’t become the big star he now was—the overnight sensation.
It was selfish of you to wish he had less to do—to wish for time he now had to put into work. Although, if your friend came to you with similar feelings you would tell them that those feelings were completely valid, so why was it so difficult to accept them for yourself?
Tonight you had been battling these emotions and thoughts since you came home from work, resulting in you grabbing some photo albums to remember better times. One was from your brother's wedding. Some people thought it was funny how you insisted on creating physical albums when “you could just save them on a disk” or something. Not Joe, though. He said it was sweet. Although, he was quite the old fashioned guy himself.
“Hello!” You heard a call from the hallway and the front door closed. It was Joseph’s tired voice. “You’re awake.” He stated, when he came into the living room and saw you on the couch.
You glanced over to the clock on the wall to your right. It was almost 11. “Yes, I am.” You smiled, suddenly feeling tired at the reminder of the option to sleep. “Was the after work thing fun?”
Joseph had had a shoot for a magazine earlier today and called you to let you know that he would go out and have a drink with some from the team, including his lovely assistant Eric. You had told him to have fun and not forget his keys at the bar, which had happened one, two times too often.
He didn’t seem too alcohol affected now though. Not that you would have minded if he had been. You recalled the times you had arrived back home after nights out with friends, how well he always took care of you. Even when you were completely, well—shitfaced.
“It was great. Missed you though, so had to take my leave.” He said, with a grin on his face as he came over and sat down beside you. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you to lean against him. He wore the brown turtleneck you had given him for Christmas. He always complained how it itched, but still wore it because he knew you liked it.
“You shouldn’t leave on my behalf.” You argued playfully, but you couldn’t help but feel happy he thought of you.
He put his face against your hair, you felt him press his lips against your head. He then looked down at the album on your knee. “Whatcha doin’?”
“Just looking at some pictures.” You answered. You turned a page and there was a picture of Joe and your aunt's husband. They both had beige costumes and you thought it was hilarious and made them pose together. It felt quite surreal seeing Joe with family members who you’d grown up around. It was like a crazy crossover between your two favorite tv shows. You pointed at the picture, “You remember that?”
Joe chuckled, “of course.” He was quiet for a while, letting you turn the pages for a minute. Then he gently placed his hand at your jaw and under your ear, turning your head to look at him. He had a noticeable concerned look in his eyes. “You alright? You only take these out when you’re sad or something.”
It scared you sometimes how well he knew you. It also warmed you up, knowing that he took notice of small things like that. You did that too, to him. You knew he picked at his cuticles when he was anxious, which led to you holding his hand—for him to not accidentally hurt himself. He also had a thing for vacuum cleaning before telling you he had an unexpected work thing happening that would need his presence. It was nice of him to leave a clean floor when he left, but whenever the vacuum cleaner came out now, it made you anxious.
“I just love you, that’s all.” He looked a bit taken back by that. It wasn’t the first time you’ve said that, of course. But the two of you believed that those words were special and neither of you wanted to overuse them. Therefore, you only said them to each other when it really had to be said. Before he could say anything back, you continued. “I want to be with you forever, you know?”
“Really?” He gasped overdramatically, a wide grin forming on his face. “I want to be with you forever too.”
“Good.”
“Somethings bothering you.” He stated then. “Forever is a very long time. If we want to keep this up for that long you’ll have to let me know when something is bothering you.”
“Can’t argue that logic, I suppose.” You said. “I just wished I could see more of you. You work a lot now. You’re away a lot and at home way less than I would like.”
Joe hugged you to him, “I know. It’s my job, though. This is all I’ve ever wanted.”
“I know, and I am so happy for you, seriously!” You laughed. “It’s just my feelings, nothing has been done about them. I guess… I’m just scared we’ll drift apart.”
You sat in silence for a while after your confession. You would like to say that you and Joe have a quite healthy relationship, where you can openly speak of things that bother you, and hear each other out. You can have discussions and disagree without it turning into fights and hear each other out with an open mind. Usually you never mentioned your own feelings because you felt bad for pushing them onto him. You were aware that they were based on your own insecurities and they usually disappeared as soon as you said them out loud. Therefore it felt unnecessary to bring them up.
“I’m scared too.” He said quietly. “And I think that’s because I love you so much. Losing you—I don’t even want to imagine it. You’re it. I really do think so and…” he traced off to think his next sentence through. You smiled knowing he was doing his best to not sound too cheesy. You even had to fight the urge to giggle, knowing it would throw him off, and you really wished to hear what he had to say. “—I feel like if I let you go, I will never find anything as good—and thank god you’re a good person cuz’, geeze, you could really gaslight me into a toxic relationship, I’m not joking. I’m very vulnerable with you.”
You laughed then. “Joseph! You can’t say things like that!”
“It’s true though.”
“When did you start using words like gaslight anyways?” You asked.
“Fans use words like that. Gotta do my research, stay cool.”
“Down with the kids, huh?” He threw his head back laughing. “Well, I think you’re “it” too.”
He smiled at you, one of those smiles and you could see in his eyes. He turned his attention back to the photo album and went back a few pages to the ones of your brother and his wife. “If we get married I want it just like theirs. It was just perfect wasn’t it. Simple but… charming.”
Your heart felt so warm suddenly, at the idea that he thought of being married to you. Marriage was a big thing, a serious, big thing. A serious thing that serious couples do. And he wanted to do that with you. “You wanna get married in my little home town?”
“Of course, I love your “little home town”.” He swept his thumb over your cheek lovingly.
“If you proposed to me, I’d say yes.” You bravely confessed, kissing him on the cheek.
“I have nothing stopping me, then, do I?”
Fin.

Okay, so umm, this happened.
What if...
Steve’s sacrifice.
Warning, Character death.
Eddie hesitated, his hands gripping the hilt of the sword, a god damn freaking sword, that was sharp as hell and was already covered in blood and gore.
Before him stood Steve, held by Vecna, vines twisting around them both, holding Steve in place making him a human shield as Vecna fought with El, their psychic battle causing extreme winds that whipped at Eddie’s hair.
Steve was looking at Eddie, his face covered in blood and dirt, but his eyes clear and determined.
Eddie had fought to get before them both, his clothes shredded at his arms and across his chest, deep wounds bleeding sluggishly, but he was still on his feet and now as he held Steve’s eyes he hesitated.
“Do it.” Steve’s voice rang clear through the harsh winds and violent thunder.
Breathing hard, Eddie lifted the sword, his hands steady, sure, a contrast to his racing heart and turbulent mind that was searching, begging for another way.
But he was the closest.
He had the only opportunity as the others fought for their lives against monsters that shouldn’t exist.
He knew what he had to do, what Steve would do, to protect the kids, to save them all, and as he lifted the sword up, the tip forward he screamed.
Running forward, his eyes never left Steve’s, even as the blade plunged straight into him, and also into Vecna.
The world stilled, his hands still gripped the hilt, but his face was now just centimetres away from Steve’s, his breathing still harsh, the sound of it loud in the sudden silence.
Steve was blinking rapidly, his breathing stuttered, almost gasping, and then blood started to fall from his mouth, and Eddies actions hit full force.
“No.” The vines dropped from around Steve and Vecna, but the two of them were joined by the sword, the sword that was all the way through Steve.
Suddenly, Vecna went flying back, and Steve fell forward into Eddie, who wrapped his arms around him as the two of them fell to their knees, Steve’s head falling to Eddie’s shoulder.
“No, no, Steve, baby...” Eddie pulled at Steve’s head, making him look at him. “I...please, baby.”
Steve blinked at him, then smiled, all bloody lips, as he tried to breathe.
“It...s...o...k”
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” Eddie felt tears streaming down his face as he just looked at the boy he loved.
A hand came up, cupping his face a moment before it dropped, and Steve’s eyes went dark, his body collapsing against Eddie once again.
Wrapping his arms around Steve, Eddie screamed into the others’ hair as he felt the life leave Steve’s body.

Tumblr media
Summary: Some friendships end in a way that you don’t expect. This is one of them. Eddie finds his want when he doesn’t realize his need was right beside him. He pushes her away, thinking its more important to focus on his relationship.
Paring: Eddie Munson, Steve Harrington, Fem Reader.
Warnings: Terribly written Angst, Eddie being a douche, a blossoming cute relationship with Harrington at the end, its book bag, not backback, tears are hoped for. Get a towel.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There he was. Edward Munson, known as Eddie Munson, or the freak. My best friend, turned cold. Scraped me off his shoe, threw me away, and didn’t even dare to turn back to see if I made it to the trash. Eddie sat there, at the table. With his new princess, Chrissy Cunningham, the pitch perfect cheerleader that anyone would drop to their knees for. Including the one and only love of my life, Eddie. She sat in what used to be my spot, my Hellfire spot. Right next to Eddie. His hand right where it would sit on your leg, but on hers. You stood a good distance away, not noticeable unless pointed out, but no one seemed to care too much. You had been replaced, who were you again?
No one seemed to notice how your excited, full of life and bright eyes now seemed dark, lifeless. No excitement in trace. Your demeanor changed completely, now shielding yourself from the outside world. Not letting anyone in, not even family. Your energy had been swiped clean away from you, making you wonder the halls like a ghost. At any push or shove of a shoulder you took in the force, not caring if you dropped something important for a test you had coming up. Maybe someone else needed it more than you did. Who cares, right? You didn’t.
My locker slammed shut as I placed my forehead against it, the cold metal making my forehead cool off. My sweater now hanging loosely off my shoulders, book bag barely being held properly in my limp hand. My mascara smeared slightly under my eyes, adding to the darkness of the eye bags that rested under my eye lids. I sighed before lifting my bag up my shoulder turning around only to gasp and hold my hand to my heart. “Dustin? Mike? What..do you want?” I spoke out nervously, they glanced at me then at each other. Dustin sighs before explaining how they were short of a member for Hellfire. Mike practically begging me to come back to play. Both of the boys quickly held their hands together, begging silently with their eyes. “Yeah, no thanks guys. I don’t play anymore.” I softly stated while walking towards the end of the hallway. “But- Wait please! you-you gotta help tonight! Eddie- He-He’ll kill us!” Mike almost screamed while gripping both of my forearms. Stopping me in my tracks, I sighed and looked at them tiredly. “Im sorry, its a no. Go ask someone else, I don’t play anymore.” Trying to walk away again but his grip tightened, “Please, you’re the best luck we’ve got. We miss you. All of us do.” Dustin pleaded, I only shook my head. Walking away after finally breaking free of Mikes hold, only pausing to look back at them. “Go see if Chrissy wants to play, Eddie would be happier to see her there instead of me. Ya know, since he already replaced me with her anyways.” Continuing on with my walk to my next class.
“I don’t know what I did wrong, why did I have to be the one pushed away like I was a disease?” I spoke my mind softly as i laid in the soft green grass, scared that if there was a possibility that air could break, my voice would crack it. Steve sat next to me, playing with the rings that littered my fingers, his eyes gazing into the sky. “Thats a weird thing to relate to but I get it. Its not your fault, its his for being a prick. He pushed you away, you tried to stay but he didn’t let you. You didn’t do anything wrong.” Steve threw out while grasping your hands, pulling me upright with a soft huff. His hands finding my cheeks and squishing them together, the coldness cooling off my heated cheeks, I smiled softly at him while leaning into his touch. “He doesn’t deserve you, you’re better than him.” Steve traces my cheekbones while I look down into my hands. “I love him Steve, I cant just- stop. I’ve tried but it just gets worse.” I whispered out while tears started flowing down my cheeks, Steves thumbs catching them, gently wiping them away. He looks at Lover Lake behind me as he brings my head to rest against his chest, his voice rumbling through his chest. “I know.”
I never thought i would be here again. Standing at Eddies doorstep, my fist hovering over the door. My mind racing with thoughts, my eyes squinting softly. Taking a deep breath, I knocked, enough that could made the door shake. I glanced around while hugging myself. The door peeked open as Blonde hair stuck out, upon realizing it was me she opened the door wider. “Chrissy, oh uhm. Hey.” I stuttered out while furrowing my eye brows. She was wearing eddies Hellfire shirt, with his plaid pajama pants. “Hey! Did you need Eddie? Hes in the shower right now. You want to come in?” Chrissy tilted her head while stepping to the side, I only shook my head. Looking at the red, purple marks on her neck and her reddened face. “Oh uhm, no, no I’m okay. Im sorry Chrissy I didn’t- im just gonna go.” I spoke quickly while holding my hoodie tightly in my left hand. Chrissy looked confused, but nodded. “I’ll tell him you came over, it was good meeting you!” She waved as I speed walked to my car. Giving her a soft wave back as I piled into my car, peeling out of the driveway and onto the road back to my house. My quivering hand holding my quivering lips as tears flooded down my face.
You skipped school the rest of the week. Not wanting to see everyone’s face. Including his, so you sat at home, becoming more weak and vulnerable with each passing second. Steves phone calls going unanswered, worried for you, why you weren’t coming to school, why weren’t you answering your god damn phone? You had no energy and strength to try anymore. You gave up, became limp, connected to your bed. Not moving, not sleeping, only staring at the pattern of your wall. Now not only was Steve calling, but Dustin, and Eddie too. You ignored all of them. Every voicemail, filled with fake concern from your childhood best friend. The person who you thought would never leave you. The person who you thought you could have a future with. oh how silly you were to think that.
One day you did have enough strength to climb out of your messy bed. Dragging yourself to pull out a mixtape you and Eddie had made when you guys became Juniors. It was filled with both Eddies music taste and yours. You smiled upon reading the title Eddie named it “To The Future.”His handwriting making you miss the memories of him drawing fake tattoos on your legs or arms. Tracing the words with your pointer finger. Your body flinched with the sound of your phone ringing, looking at it sitting on your desk. Slowly standing and ghosting your hand over it, taking a deep breath. Picking the phone up and placing it against your ear. Giving the person on the other end a weak, soulless “Hello?” making the person sigh loudly. “Jesus, are you okay? You haven’t answered any of my phone calls. You’re worrying me.” Steves voice filled your ears and it made your lip quiver, missing the sound of your new closest friend. “Yeah. I know im sorry, Steve.” Steve sighed softly and transformed the phone to his other hand while leaning against his wall. “Are you okay? You haven’t been at school for the past week.” You bit your lip, toying with the end of your shirt while looking around your room. Seeing the clothes thrown around carelessly, empty glasses littered the 2 desks in your room. “Yeah- Yeah im okay. I just uhm. Needed a break.” Which wasn’t a whole lie, but not the full truth. “When are you coming back?” Steves question made you look at the calendar hanging on the back of your bedroom door. Sighing before rubbing off the tiredness of your eyes. “Thursday? Maybe? I don’t know, Steve.” He shook his head grabbing his keys from his own desk. “Meet me at the Lake in 20.” You shook your head like he could see you. “What? Steve its too late right now are you crazy?” He chuckled “It wasn’t a question.” While hanging up. Leaving the ring of the dead line blow into your ears. Quickly hanging up and throwing up your hair into a low bun.
Steve encouraged me to continue going to school, I tried begging him to let me take one more day. He took my hands in his and promised to stay by my side at all times, even if it means he has to go to the bathroom with you. Which made you give him a true laugh. Something he deeply missed, seeing you happy.
He hung his arm around your shoulder as he spoke about what was happening today, and with his sly whispers about how weird this certain popular kid was made you throw your head back onto his arm. Steve joining you shortly after, his arm that hung around your shoulder now gripped his thigh as you both doubled over in laughter, your eyes filled with tears while your face reddened. Kids walking by the duo gave weird looks but the pair didn’t seem to mind. Steves hands cupped your red cheeks, wiping the stray tears that escaped your eyes away. your laughter slowly dying down into a chuckle while Steves laughter completely died out. His soft eyes gazing into yours. His thumbs caressing your cheeks, making you smile softly. Steve glanced down at your lips then back up at your eyes. Leaning forward while slowly closing his eyes. Only to feel the empty air as you were tugged away. He looked to where you were being dragged away and saw Eddies brown curly hair bouncing with each fast step.
“What the fuck was that?” Eddie questioned while gripping your shoulders. Your brows furrowed, and your throat felt dry from not talking to him for a long amount of time. “What are you talking about?” Struggling loose from his grip while hugging yourself. Glancing around to see if Steve would magically appear, running around the corner. Saving you from this moment. “Don’t act dumb Sweetheart-“ You snapped towards his with a scowl. “Don’t you dare call me that. You have no place to say that to me.” I stuck my pointer finger at him, pressing it against his chest while continuing. “You don’t get that privilege anymore Eddie. You don’t get to have anything to do with me. Not after what you put me through you piece of shit.” I growled out, stabbing my finger into his chest with every last ounce of anger I had left. “What are you talking about? Princess you’re confusing me.” You pushed him back harshly. “You having fun with Chrissy? Did you have fun pushing me away? Acting like I was nothing, and that I was a disease? You fucking happy you finally got what you wanted?” I spit out with venom lacing each and every word, shoving his chest harshly one last time while I sobbed and quivered. Eddie stood still, looking down at my mess of a body, clothes wrinkled, my eye lids sunk, eye bags even worse, hair frizzy. His chest tightened with a overbearing guilt. He opened his mouth to speak but you cut him off. “You got so carried away with your new toy that you wanted so desperately to not even notice your own childhood best friend breaking down into nothing. You didn’t even look at me anymore. I didn’t exist to you, but when im suddenly happy you notice me again?” He stood still again, his own tears slipping past his eyelids. His hands shaking at his sides. “Go back to Chrissy Eddie. I don’t need you anymore.” You spoke harshly while turning away. Heading back inside the school.
“I told him how I felt. How unhappy I was. I told him everything.” I muttered out while laying against Steves chest. Steve nodded in approval. Tracing small shapes on his shirt. The water in-front of us splashing against the pebbles and rocks softly, lulling my eyes to slowly close. “Hey. You remember the time where you tried on your prom dresses?” Steves voice rumbled against your cheek. I smiled at the memory. “Yeah, why? Wanna go shopping with me again?” I teased while looking up at him. Seeing his soft smile while he looked into the water, before looking down into my eyes. He shook his head. “No. I liked it. I wanted to buy you every dress you tried on. You’re so beautiful.” He spoke out softly, afraid that his voice would break me. Like if I was glass in his hands. My smile grew wider, I looked down at our connected hands, lacing them together. “Then i’ll definitely bring you every time I shop for clothes. Get a second opinion.” I softly whispered out as if it was a secret. One of Steves hands disconnected from mine as he put his fingers under my chin. Making me tilt my head up, his hand now cupping my jaw. His eyes flickered down to my lips for a split second before gazing into mine. “I love you Steve.” I whispered out slowly, prepared to pull away and run my way home. His lips pulled up more, giving me his signature Steve Harrington smile. “I love you too.” He stroked my cheek slowly. “Are you going to kiss me or not pretty boy?” I giggled while placing my hands on his cheeks while his other joined mine. “I was thinking about it” I scoffed and pulled him closer “Stop thinking about it and kiss me handsome.” I chuckled, “Anything for you, Hun” He replied cheekily while pressing his lips into mine. Our lips fitting together perfectly like a puzzle piece. Shortly after breaking away slowly, pressing his forehead to mine. “You think about it enough?” I asked while stroking his cheek. He shrugged and looked around. “I don’t know, might have to try again, so think it over for approval, ya know?” I laughed and pulled his lips into mine again.
Eddie continued to watch Steve treat you better than he ever could have. While Chrissy hung onto his arm with a deadly grip. His chest twisting and churning as he saw Steve connect his lips with yours. He noticed how you picked up your cheery attitude again. How much color you now wore again. He missed it. Realizing that you were right, he only focused on what he wanted, even though he knew now that what he should have been looking for is what he needed.
We're a Family Part 20 (Steddie X You)
Tumblr media
Warnings: Dad Steddie X Mom Fem Reader, SMUT, slight role-play, dirty talk, FLUFF, this little family loves each other and Steddie love being dads <3, AGNST, while trick of treating they run into someone they know, Dylan has feelings and so does the reader.
Word Count: 4325
“Dada. Da da.”, James cooed as his little hands lightly tap on Steve’s face.
You smile from your place on the floor as you continue doing Aurora’s hair. Tonight was his first Halloween and he seemed very excited for a baby who had no idea it was even an holiday. To be fair, he could have just been amused at his father’s attire who was currently dressed like Indiana Jones.
 “Yes, sir. I’m dada. Now, let dada finish getting your costume on.”
“How are we doing in here?”, Eddie asked as he sauntered in dressed as Slash followed by Dylan in his Newt Scamander costume.
“Mommy’s almost done wit my hair.”, Ro announces.
“And this little troublemaker is finally ready.”, Steve exhales as he lifts James from the bed to display him in his little bat costume complete with little ears at the top.
“Aw. I should have gone as Ozzy this year!”, the metalhead playfully sighs.
“You are not biting my son’s head off.”, you scold.
“Jesus, sweetheart. Scared the hell out of me. I didn’t see you there. I thought there was actually a witch in our house.”
“A ha ha, Eddie Munson. Alright, my love. You’re ready.”
Aurora turns around to show everyone her Princess Leia costume from the new show her and Steve had been watching on Disney plus.
“You look beautiful, honey.”
“Yeah and you’re a pain in the butt like her to.” She scrunches her nose as she hits Eddie’s hip with her little fist.
“Ok, my hat is downstairs. Once we grab that we will be ready!”
***
“Dad, if…if James is still a baby…why does he get candy?”, Ro asks as the six of you head to the next house.
“Because you and your father are eating all the snacks we buy so any chance we can get for free food we take.”
His answer makes you cackle as Eddie sticks out his tongue at his husband. While heading up the stone steps of another home, you’re all blocked by a familiar face that gave you pause.
“Oh, wow, um, hey Y/N.”
“Hi Vivian.” Your eyes quickly scan her over before landing on the smiling toddler in her arms dressed like a lion making you smile as well. “Who is this?”
“This is my son, Brody. Can you say hi? Say hi, baby.” He answers with a tiny roar that makes you laugh and James clap his hands. She beams at everyone before he eyes finally land on Dylan. “Oh my god. Dylan? Look…look how big you’ve gotten. Can I—”
She doesn’t even get to finish her sentence as he wraps his arms around her, pulling her in for a hug.
“We’ll, uh, take them up to get candy.”, Steve nodded as Eddie lifted Aurora in his arms.
Your eyes meet your eldest’s and you asked the question he was too afraid to ask.
“How’s Charlie been doing? Is he with you two?”
“Oh, um, Charlie and I…we’re separated. I…I didn’t…he told me about signing over his rights and that just broke my heart. Things never got better after that.”, she whispered. “I caught him coming home late smelling like perfume…karma I deserved I guess.”
“Vivian, I—”
“No. No reason to apologize or…anything like that. I should have known, ya know?” Standing up straighter, she reaches out to hug Dylan again. “I still live in the same place if ever you want to come over and talk or hang out with this pain in the butt. Of course, if it’s ok with your mom and your dads.”
You son nods as she gives him one final smile and passes you both to head to the next house.
“Are you okay?”, you ask as he watches her leave.
“Yeah. I feel bad for Brody. Maybe…maybe he’ll get lucky to get an Eddie and Steve of his own one day.”
As if on cue, both men come back and Ro runs up to Dylan handing him a candy bar.
“I got this for you!”, she announces as he grins down at her.
##############
You softly smile from your spot on the couch as you watch the kids (and Eddie) dump all their candy out on the floor and begin sifting through it.
“Ah, ah, little man.”, Steve scolds as he quickly scoops up the baby. “No candy for you yet till you get some teeth.”
“Mama!” Your smile grows as your son reaches for you and his father swishes him around in a circle like he’s flying till he lands in your arms. “Ma ma ma ma.”
“Go ahead. Suck up to her but she won’t give you candy either.”
James rubs his eyes before falling against your shoulder.
“Oh, oh wait, my love. Let me get you bottle before you pass out.” As you stand and head for the kitchen, two set of eyes follow you worriedly as they hear the subtle crack in your voice.
Eddie gets up and cuts you off, preparing the bottle for you as he watches you hug James tighter to your body. Tapping your bicep, he hands you what you need and the baby takes it from you eagerly as his beautiful honey colored iris look up at you with love.
A tear falls down your cheek and the metalhead wipes it away as he pulls your head to his chest.
“I love you.”, you mumble smothered by his shirt.
“I love you to, sweetheart. Do you want me to take him?”
“No but if you could put Princess Leia to sleep—”
“Mommy! I’m not sleepy!”, Aurora whines.
“That’s so weird because it didn’t sound like to me she was asking.”, Eddie teases as he places his top hat on her head and she giggles as it slides over her eyes. Taking the opportunity, he picks her up and throws the toddler over his shoulder as he carries her up to her room.
“I’m going to put this one down to.”, you smile carefully scooting towards his room so your movement don’t wake James as he continues to eat with his eyes closed.
The sound of rustling and Dylan’s voice gives you pause as you linger in the doorway of the baby’s room.
“Do you want any of this candy, dad?”
“Is there anything sour in there?” Your son grins as he tosses something to Steve who thanks him as he tears it open. “Eddie always goes for those first so I imagine they will be gone by tomorrow afternoon.”, he chuckles as his eyes scan over Dylan.
“Are you alright, kid?”
“Yeah, I’m just thinking…”
“About?”
“Brody, Vivian’s son.”
“Your brother?” The boy’s eyes guiltily look away and you hear Steve pat the space on the couch next to him. “Dylan even though we’re your dad, we get that biologically Charlie was also your father. He helped create you and Brody. Just because you don’t think of him that way anymore doesn’t mean that that little boy isn’t a part of your family. Just like Ro and James, he’s a part of you and if you want him and even Vivi in your life, that’s ok. We all would have to talk about it but I’m sure Eddie and Y/N would be fine with it.”
“And you?”
“Yeah of course.”
“You always seemed so upset before…”
“Not at you though, kid. I hope you know that. I just…love you. I always have; since I met you and got to know you. Even before you started calling me dad. I hated seeing you get hurt.”, he sighs. “But remember what we said, no matter what you’re our son to even if you miss him or decide you want to see him again—”
“I don’t think Charlie ever wants to see me again. I don’t want Brody to feel that. I want to be there for him like you guys were with me and mom.”
Steve wraps his arm around the young boy’s shoulders and yanks him to his side.
“I love you, dad.”
“I love you to, Dylan.”
Footsteps echo from the stairs as Eddie enters the living room.
“Aw! Are we hugging?” The metalhead falls beside his son and dramatically pulls them both into an awkward embrace that has Dylan laughing. “Oh, this is nice. Steven, Princess Leia wants you to read her a story.”
“Of course she does.” The man rises to his feet and playfully pushes Eddie’s arm as he places his Indiana Jones hat on his head.
“Everything ok? Do you need me to read you a story to?”
“Not tonight no.”, he giggles. “Do you think Brody would like D & D?”
“Oh my god.”, the man sighs as he theatrically grabs his chest. “The fact that MY child wants to spread the wisdom that is Dungeons and Dragons to the younger generation just…ah…it makes my heart melt.”
“Wow, you are such a nerd.”, you jest as you head to put the now empty bottle in the sink after finally putting James in his crib.
“Takes one to know one, babe. Yeah, man. I think he will. Maybe you can start off by reading him some of those campaign books since he’s too little right now to actually play.”
“Cool. So…”, he lowers his voice so only his father would hear. “…you would be ok with me, maybe, spending time with Vivian’s son?”
“Dude…”, Eddie responds in an equally low register. “As long as your happy, I don’t care. You know we need to all talk about it but…”, the man lowers his voice even more as he points to his son’s chest. “I agree with Steve. Just like our other two demons, Brody is a part of you. If you want to spend time with them, that’s ok. I’ll still love you, weirdo. Alright?”
Dylan hugs him again and you smile from your place in the kitchen as you watch Eddie squeeze him tighter as he kisses the top of his head.
“I love you to, dad.”
***
“Alright, everyone except for the teenager is asleep but he’s in his room.”, Steve announces as he tosses you your favorite candy before shutting the bedroom door and climbing on to the mattress sitting across from you and Eddie. “What’s running through your mind, baby.”
“Nothing.”
“Oh, so you just normally cry when you give our son a bottle?”
“He’s just so cute. I can’t help it.” They both sigh at your deflection and your head hangs slightly. “I saw myself in her…when she was holding her son. I was thrust back to when I first moved into those apartments and how alone I felt. Before we started spending time together, of course.”
“I can understand that. Y/N, its ok for you to empathize with her even with your past history. It’s not like you two are going to become best friends or something.”
“I know… it’s… ugh you two are going to tease me!”, you laugh as you fall into Eddie’s chest beside you.
“Probably especially if it’s cute.”, he laughs. “But why don’t you tell us anyway.”
“After she left, Dylan told me he hopes that Vivian and Brody find an Eddie and Steve like we did. Hearing him say that reminded me of how heartbroken he was even before when Charlie and I were still married. James and Aurora even as babies have always been so bright and expressive. I never saw Dylan light up that way until he knocked on your door. I’m just really grateful you’re mine.”
When you started to cry, Steve laid beside you as both boys hugged you tightly to them.
##########
When you came home from work the follow afternoon, the house was eerily quiet. Steve had texted you saying your sister wanted to spend some time with the kids so she offered to pick them up but you didn’t realize she was taking them out entirely.
As you placed your bag on the countertop, you noticed a folded piece of paper next to a pair of your blue jean shorts and tank top.
“Y/N,
The kids are with Kierra for tonight so the ‘apartment’ is ours. Put these clothes on out here and knock on the bedroom door when you’re ready.
-Your neighbors Eddie and Steve”
Your eyebrows scrunched together as you tried to decipher their note. Apartment, your neighbors…even the clothes they laid out, you realized, were similar to the ones you were wearing the first time you three were together.
What could they be up to?
After doing what they asked, you slowly shuffled towards the bedroom door and cautiously knocked.
A few moments later it swung open and your jaw dropped as your eyes drunk in Steve who was currently dressed in jeans, a polo, and his Family Video vest complete with name tag and everything.
“Hey there neighbor. Took you long enough. I guess it all worked out though. I just got off myself.”
“Yes because staking videos is a lengthy task. Hey sweetheart.”, Eddie beamed as you scanned him over. His jeans hung low on his hips as his bare chest displayed his tattoos. He looked exactly like he did when Dylan knocked on their door minus the new ink over the years on his ribs of all three of the kid’s names.
“I…I…what’s going on?”
“We thought you could use a break, remember? That’s why we got little man and the other heathens a sitter and invited you over to our place.”
Steve gestured into the room and as you walked in you noticed the pizza on the bed with the beer on the end table. There was music playing on Eddie’s phone and beside it that little black lunch box that you hadn’t seen in a very long time.
“I made sure to keep the music down.”, the metalhead winked.
“What do you think?”, Steve asked as they both looked at you eagerly with anticipation.
“I think…”, you smile as you jump on to the bed and open the food container. “…I’m going to tell my kids you called them heathens. My daughter is going to pitch a fit.”
***
It had been so long since you saw this side of them, the carefree relaxed guys. Steve was always in protective mode making sure everything got done and everyone was where they should be where Eddie was always making sure everyone was happy and comfortable.
The three of you passed the joint Eddie rolled amongst yourselves as you laid your head on his lap and Steve did the same with your tummy while you absently ran your fingers through his hair.
“How are you feeling, honey? Better?”
“Much.”, you giggle. “I wasn’t exactly sad. I just had a lot of feelings. I’m a mom. It happens.”
“Hm. It’s ok to feel them, ya know? And, of course, you can talk to us about anything.”
“I remember, after he met you, Dylan told everyone about our new neighbors and ‘they like loud music.’”, you mimic his voice making them chuckle. “I was so happy just to hear him giggle and be excited but I was terrified of him getting his hopes up to have them broken again. Then you two came over and made us both laugh…” You feel yourself drift into the memory, shaking your head as you bring yourself back to your current moment.
“To bad we’re only neighbors and not living together.”, you over exaggeratedly sigh as you continue with their charade. “Can you imagine?!”
“I can.”, Steve cooed. “The first time I shook your hand I knew I’d never let you go.”
“Same. I told Harrington when I listened to your ex be a dick to you on those steps, I wanted to drive down there and beat his ass. I immediately felt protective over you and Dylan.”
“I have a question. More than anything I need my memory refreshed because this weed I guess is making me forget.”, you smile as you feel your body getting antsy as they continue to talk. “Have we been intimate yet or is this our first time?”
There’s something specific in this roleplay you’re trying to lead them to. Both men especially Steve were a bit more intimidating when you first entered their apartment. It had been so long since you felt that energy from them mostly because you got comfortable with them pretty early on.
“Oh, sweetheart. If we had fucked you already, you’d remember.”
Steve felt your breathing stutter at Eddie’s comment causing his cock to press almost painfully against the denim of his jeans. Rolling onto his knees, he hovers over you as his palm caresses your cheek.
“What do you think, honey? Do you think we should go easy on you?”
Craning your neck, you crash your lips to his, passionately kissing him with everything you had.
“Not this time.”, you whisper making Steve practically growl as he kisses you again, manhandling you till your head was resting on the pillows allowing Eddie the freedom to slide down and suck on your neck.
You whimpered softly as their hands roamed your body, lifting off your shirt and tossing it to the floor. The metalhead’s tongue drifted down the valley of your breasts, groaning as it found its way to your nipple as he flicked and sucked the sensitive skin while Steve glided down between your legs, pressing his lips along your thighs.
Your mouth fell open as his long tongue licked a long stripe up your folds while his fingers held you open completely on display for him.
“Fuck, baby. You taste so fucking good.”
Eddie’s lips found your own and he groaned as your own tongue caressed his. Moaning, you tilted your head away from him slightly as Steve devoured your pussy.
“Fuck that feels—”
“Feels good, sweetheart?”
You eagerly nod as the man wraps his mouth around your clit, sucking and flicking the nub noisily making you clench at the sound.
“Eddie? D-Did—mmm—Did you want him then to?”
The metalhead understood what you were asking as his finger ran gently moved your hair out of the way.
“Baby, this is about you.”, he whispers.
“Do you think I would h-have stopped you two that night if you had kissed him? If he had sucked your cock or even—fuck—fucked you in front of me?”
Your eyes roll back and flutter closed as Eddie heavily exhales against your lips.
“Yes, I wanted him then. I wanted him since the day I met him.” Threading his palm into Steve’s hair behind his head, he presses his face further into your cunt, and your head lulls back. “Now I have you both. I remember watching him pound into you on that sofa. Got me hard all over again. You both were so beautiful.”
Your back arched as you came, shouting Steve’s name, and thankful it was just you three in the house.
Climbing up your body, he reached out and roughly yanked Eddie’s lips to his; both men groaning at the taste of you.
“I wanted you to.”, he murmured. “I didn’t know how…or what to say…” Steve sighs in pleasure when he feels you lean up and softly kiss the skin along his stomach. “I love you both so fucking much.”
Unbuttoning his pants, you yank them down enough to free his cock and eagerly wrap your mouth around him. As he groans, Eddie helps him remove his shirt before climbing off his bed to undo his own jeans.
“Fuck, honey, that feels amazing.”
Grabbing your ankles, you giggle as Eddie brings you lower down the bed so your back was flat on the mattress. Steve chuckles at his earnestness, adjusting his body so both his knees were beside you as he guided his length back into your awaiting mouth.
The man watches with his hooded eyes, sucking his bottom lip between his teeth as Eddie takes hold of your hips and glides his cock easily into your dripping core.
“Shit. She’s so wet. You really got her going, Steve.”
He blushes at his husband’s compliment making you smile as you look up at him.
“You like when Eddie says nice things about you?”, you tease. Tenderly petting your head, he beams as he nods. “Oh, Eddie. Steve likes being praised.”
“W-Who doesn’t, pretty girl?”
The metalhead crawls forward on his hands slightly, making sure your legs are circled tightly around him as he turns to look at Steve.
“Aw, sweetheart. You like when I compliment you? Telling you how much of a good boy you are?” Eddie’s plush lips kiss along his stomach and Steve whimpers when he feels you take him to the back of your throat. “Because you are… making Y/N cum hard with your tongue. Making her all nice and tight for me. E-Even now—mmm—every time she gags on your thick cock she clenches around mine.”
Both men thrust into you at a faster pace and you moan as you watch their lips mingle together.
Steve abruptly pulls back, chuckling to himself as he gets to his feet.
“Sorry. You both are going to make me cum and I want to cum inside you, Y/N.”
Eddie’s eyes roll back as he falls fully top of you, you two clinging to each other as his hips smack into yours. Whimpering his name, you and he cum at the same time, his pants warming your ear as you run your fingers through his hair.
Still holding you to him, the metalhead rolls onto his back and shifts his body further down the mattress.
“Come here, princess.”
You let him maneuver you till you were straddling his face with your back facing the headboard. Steve already seemed to know what to do as he climbed up behind you, taking hold of your waist as you leaned your chest against the other man’s stomach.
“Goddamn it.”, he mewled as his cock slid into your cunt.
“Don’t worry about me, baby. Focus on you and him, okay? I got you.”, Eddie purred before his lips attached to your swollen clit.
“Fuck me.”
“He’s right. You’re so fucking wet and warm, Y/N. Fuck.”
Both men groaned as you rolled your hips, grinding on Eddie’s face as you pushed back against Steve. The man behind you grabbed your shoulder and brought you up to his chest, wrapping his arms around you as he kissed and sucked on your neck.
“Yes. Just like that, Steve.”
“Like that? This what you need, honey?”
As he slammed into you harder, Eddie’s tongue flicked faster against your nub driving you wild as your moans once again turned to screams.
Your body trembled as you came, all energy leaving your body as you started to fall forward.
“I gotcha’, baby. You did so good.”, Steve praised gently as he held you to him.
His jaw went slack as his rhythm stuttered and after a few more thrusts painted your walls with his release. As you began to cry, Eddie moved out from under you as the other boy pulled himself out of your sore cunt and both of them guided you gently to the pillows as they held you.
“Are these good tears or bad tears?”, Steve asked making you smile.
“G-G-Good tears. You both just felt so good. I love you so much.”
“You both know I’m not good with words but thank you.”, Steve whispers as he runs his thumb under your eyes. “Because of you…this is our life. I know you went through a lot with your douchebag ex but we have you now and each other.”, he gestures towards Eddie.
“And you gave us those three weirdos. It’s still so surreal that these little things are calling us dad. But it was the same when we met you. ‘Damn, this beautiful woman is calling us boyfriend and telling us she loves us.’ Now I can’t picture my life without any of you.”
Tilting towards him, you kiss Eddie before turning around to do the same with Steve.
############
“Oh, hey Y/N. What’s going on?”, Vivian inquires with wide confused eyes.
“Dylan wanted to come hang out with you and Brody if that’s ok.”
“Yeah, oh my god. Of course, he’s watching tv.” She gestures inside and he hugs her before heading that way.
“I’m ok with this…we all are. As long as Charlie isn’t here to. Dylan still doesn’t want to talk to him at the moment.”
“No. I completely understand. I promise you, he’s safe with me.” When her eyes meet yours you know she’s telling the truth. “Thank you guys. I missed him so much. I tell Brody about his brother all the time.”
You nod as you turn to away from her to head back to the van.
“You alright?”, Eddie asks as he brushes some hair behind your ear.
“Why would mommy not be okay? Wha you do, daddy!?”
“Oh my god, nothing. I wasn’t asking you.”, he jokes. “Now hush or I’m going to eat all you’re candy when we get home.”
“Don’t worry, honey. I won’t let him.” Aurora smiles when Steve winks at her.
“Yeah, I’m ok. Thank you. I’m glad the whole gang came with me.”
James claps as he giggles and points towards you in the front seat.
“We’re an intimidating bunch, sweetheart. We can kick butt if we need to. Right, princess?”
“Yeah!”, she grins as she waves her hand pretending to use the force.
“We need to teach James to kick ass to.”
“Eddie!”, you and Steve shout at the same time making the man cackle as Ro covers her mouth at the curse word, giggling just like Dylan had all those years ago.
“I guess it’s time to bring out the swear jar again, huh baby?”, Steve purposes as he reaches around to rub your shoulders.
“Oh good. I make enough money now, I can swear all the time.”
Let's Risk It - Eddie Munson Fanfic
Warnings: 18+ ONLY as always. There is a teeny tiny mention of self harm, like blink and you'll miss it. That's it. Some fluff, some agnst, Eddie being... Eddie. This is an older rockstar!eddie and even though age isnt mentioned I did write this with the reader being younger in mind. I also tried my absolute hardest to keep this neutral and I think I did but if I didn't please let me know and I will remove the tag. Use of pet names: sweetheart, angel, baby.
You heard his whistle echo off the cinderblock walls of the venue before you heard the steady thump of his boots on the tile. He was getting closer to the wardrobe room and you knew he was coming for you. To give you that cheeky smirk and a wink as he passed by on his way to own clothes. Your eyes stayed focused on the shirt you were steaming the wrinkles out of when the door opened and clicked shut with a loud thud.
“Maverick.” Eddie greeted your boss with a nod as he made his way over to where you stood with your back to him. “Sweetheart.”
“Mr. Munson.” You greeted as professionally as possible as his ringed hand grabbed a handful of your hip on his way past you. “I was able to fix that rip in your shirt, it’s in your case.”
“You’re an angel.” He drawled as he flashed you his dimples over his shoulder and threw you a wink. “Thank you.”
“Just doing my job.” You shook your head at him before turning back to the shirt in front of you. “Would you like me to steam it for you?”
“Nah… I’m not as prissy as Jeff.” He chuckled as he pulled open his case and riffled through the clothes hanging on the racks. “I like my shirts to have a few wrinkles. Makes me look metal.”
“Makes you look messy.” You giggled as you threw him a glance and both of his eyebrows shot up behind his curly bangs.
“Did you just call me messy?” His eyes narrowed into a glare as he turned on his heels and stalked back over to you. His hand came up and wiped a bead of sweat off your forehead before pushing a strand of hair behind your ear, “I can show you messy, baby. Don't tempt me.”
“That’s enough, Eddie.” Maverick hollered from behind you two and you jumped at the volume of his voice. “She has work to do and you need to get ready. You can flirt with her after the show.”
“Mav, you’ve been busting my balls for nearly ten years.” Eddie barked a laugh as he looked over at the plump man positioned behind his sewing machine. “You never let me have any fun!”
“Like I said…” Maverick gave him a pointed look over the top of his glasses as he lifted his foot and let the machine stop. “You can have your fun after she’s done working. Leave her be.”
“Fine, fine.” Eddie held up both of his hands in defense as he backed away from you slowly, a small smirk pulling up the corner of his lips. “Have it your way, boss man.”
“Thank you.” Maverick pushed his foot down on the pedal and let the machine whir back to life as Eddie kept his eyes trained on you. You turned back to your work but could feel his eyes burning a hole into the side of your head.
You started working for Corroded Coffin about a year ago when you were desperate for a job and an escape from the shitty small town life you had been living. Working paycheck to paycheck at the diner, killing roaches in your studio apartment as you tried to cook another dinner of fifty cent ramen noodles, hooking up with randoms who were passing through just to feel something. You hated it. You were lonely, you were sad and truth be told you were on the verge of ending it all. But then you got a call from an old friend saying she was engaged and would be quitting her job and they were looking for her replacement. She helped you fly out to LA where you met Maverick in some swanky bar where the drinks cost more than your rent. He offered you the job on the spot, paying five times what you had previously made in a month and the next day you were on the bus to Cincinnati where the band was kicking off their world tour.
It took about a month before you officially met Eddie at an after party. You’d seen him backstage and had passed him in hotel lobbies but you had never spoken to him. Maverick had pulled you off the bus that night, saying you needed to let loose, and drug you to the bar the band had decided to hole up in. He walked you right over and introduced you to the guys and their ladies of the night, muttering about groupies after he pulled you away for shots.
The next night Eddie sauntered into the wardrobe room hours before lights up, which you were told was not normal. He perched himself up on Maverick’s sewing table and shot the shit with him until he needed to get dressed. The zipper on his leather pants broke and you were forced to sew him into them since Maverick was busy helping Gareth fix his boots. It was all soft, brown eyes and beaming smiles, pet names and soft brushes of his hands after that. There was a very fine like the two of you were toeing and you knew it. You wanted him and he wanted you but it would never come to be. Flirting was fine, stolen glances and grabbing touches when no one was looking was okay too, even the nights you two found yourselves alone in a bar was great but he was the talent and you were a lowly seamstress that worked for his record label. You needed the job and you wouldn’t risk it. Not for anything.
“I think that shirt is wrinkle free.” Eddie chuckled from next to you, shaking you out of your thoughts as he reached over and took the steamer out of your hand. “You okay?”
“I’m fine, Mr. Munson.” You nodded as you fiddled with the hanger in front of you trying to avoid his gaze. “Thank you.”
“Wanna go for a smoke?”
“Can’t.” You shook your head as you chewed into your bottom lip and let your eyes flit across the room to Maverick. “Gotta work.”
“Seeing as you almost melted that shirt I’m sure Mav won’t mind if you take a quick break.” He gave your wrist a reassuring shake as he started to pull you towards the door. “I’m taking her for a smoke, boss man. We’ll be right back!”
The door clicked shut behind you but you still heard Maverick’s shout of ‘god damn it, Eddie’ as you scampered off down the hall. It was a crisp Autumn night in Seattle and the sky was clear enough to see the stars. You leaned back against the brick facade of the building and let Eddie light a cigarette for you before taking it from him with a small smile.
“You sure you're okay?” He spoke around his own cigarette as the end burned cherry red and you nodded as you took a long drag of your own. “You do that a lot? Zone out like that?”
“I was just thinking.” You whispered as you blew the smoke out of your lungs.
“Sweetheart, I was calling your name for a good five minutes.” He gave you a look that you couldn't quite decipher as he blew out his own smoke. “If you were thinking that hard it must be something big on your mind. You wanna talk about it?”
“I uh… I just…” You looked down at where you were kicking a small rock with the toe of your dirty chucks. “I need you to stop being nice to me.”
“I’m sorry?” He jerked back like you had just slapped him in the face and his eyes were full of shock as he looked over at you. “You need me to stop being nice to you?”
“I need this job, Eddie.” You stressed as you took another drag of your cigarette and let your words sink in as you blew it out. “I have nothing to go back to; no home, no job prospects. I can’t risk losing this. And the flirting and the touching and the quiet talks tucked away in bar booths is putting this at risk.”
“Sweetheart, it’s not risking…”
“But it is!” You spoke a little louder than you intended as you turned your whole body to face him. “I know Maverick makes his jokes but he is watching me. He sees everything and I know with just one slip up I’m gone. You’re the talent, Eddie! This thing between us, whatever it is, has got to stop. I cannot lose my job!”
“Baby,” he whispered as he threw down his half smoked cigarette and took your face in his hands. “You are not going to lose your job. I promise. I will never let that happen.”
“It’s not up to you.”
“Like hell it isn't!” He scoffed as his grip on your cheeks tightened. “This is my band, my tour. I’m the fucking boss and if I say you’re safe then you’re safe. You really think those boardroom assholes want to piss off their money maker? Think again, baby.”
“Eddie…I can’t… we can’t…” He cut you off with his lips crashing into yours as hot tears rolled down your cheeks. Calloused thumbs swiped over your cheeks as your lips moved with his. Soft but chapped, warm and honey sweet tasting like smoke and bourbon and Eddie. Your hands gripped the lapels of his shirt and pulled him in as close as he could get. Hips pushing yours back into the wall as the bricks scraped against your bare shoulders and a soft whine escaped your throat. It was all teeth and tongues, hands in hair and his knee wedging between your own. It was hot. Messy. Too much. Far too much and you both pulled away, panting as he leaned his forehead against yours.
“You’re safe.” He breathed out as he placed a few more chaste kisses to your lips, your cheeks, your forehead. “You’re safe with me.”
“Promise?”
“Baby, I swear on my life.” His eyes sparkled as he pulled back to look at you fully. “Nothing is ever going to happen to you. Not with me.”
“I gotta get back to work.” You sniffled as a few more rouge tears rolled down your cheeks. “You gotta let go, Eddie.”
“Never.” He laughed as he pulled you into a tight hug and kissed the top of your head. “But I will let you get back to it. I need your help with my pants.”
“Jesus Christ!” You groaned as you pushed him off and gave him a playful glare. “Did you break the zipper again?”
“It’s not my fault, sweetheart!” He threw his hands up and let them fall to slap against his leather clad thighs. “The fucking zipper just can’t contain The Beast!”
“Did you just…” You clicked your tongue as his eyes sparkled and you rolled your eyes. “Get inside and take your pants off.”
“Easy, tiger!” He giggled as you shoved him towards the doors leading back into the venue which he held open for you so he could slap your ass as you slipped back inside. “I’ll report you for harassment if you keep talking to me like that.”
“Well lucky for me the fucking boss is into me so I think I’ll be okay.” You smiled sweetly at him as he threw his arm around your shoulder and tucked you into his side. “What do you think of a lace up fly? For your pants?”
“A lace up?” He cocked his head to the side as he looked down at you and you nodded. “Would you help me tie them every night?”
“Oh I don’t know, Mr. Munson.” You feigned innocence as he pulled open the door to the wardrobe room for you. “I might need a raise if that’s added to my job duties.”
“I’ll talk to the fucking boss and see what he can do for you.” He smirked as he followed you and kicked off his shoes, shimming out of his pants and handing them over to you. “Thank you for taking care of me, angel.”
“Thank you for keeping me safe.” You whispered as you took the pants from him and gave him a sweet smile. “No get outta my work space so I can fix The Beast tamer!”
His hearty laugh echoed all the way down the hallway and you couldn’t help the face splitting smile that spread across your lips.
Maybe he was worth the risk after all.
Tumblr media
You walk through the woods while carrying a large black bag on your shoulders with one of your victims inside. As soon as you arrived near the exit of the city you decided to put the bag down and open it, finding the now lifeless frightened face of Katerine Smith in front of you; a young student at Hawkins High. She was in her third year and was a beautiful, awkward and superficial girl. In the last period she had decided to set her eyes on something that belonged to you and for this reason her life had come to an end.
You take her out and place it on top of the large black bag as you head behind a bush where you pick up your shovel that you left there. You start digging a fairly deep vertical ditch and as soon as it was at least two meters high, you throw the shovel on the ground and take out a circular saw and a yellow raincoat from your backpack. You didn't want to get dirty so you put on the hooded garment and start dismembering the girl. The head, abdomen, arms, legs and feet.
Everything was a real red mess but luckily there was the sack under the corpse which prevented the grass from being colored with that bitter blood. As you had learned to do, you took each piece and threw it into the small vertical ditch and then called for it with the shovel. After your first murder you had now learned how to bury a body. After all, if someone were to find a body they would expect to find it horizontal and whole or otherwise dismembered in a bag. That's why you made sure they never found Katherine's body like many others. That's right, Katherine wasn't the only girl you killed, but there were many more, and they were all buried here...near the exit of town. Once your work is finished, you take off your almost dirty raincoat and head to the nearest lake to clean it and the circular saw with it.
You sigh as you turn on your heel to walk home, stuffing everything back into your backpack. “Fuck, I have to go shopping, I forgot,” you say to yourself, remembering one of your duties. You calmly walk towards the supermarket and are overwhelmed by the warm air that makes you feel at ease. In Hawkins, autumn was getting colder and colder, so much so that you started wearing wool sweaters when you left the house. The atmosphere was relaxing and there weren't many people in the small supermarket near the main road. You take a piece of paper from the pocket of your sweatshirt with the list of things to take and start wandering around the aisles.
Pasta, chocolate pudding, sauce, flour, sugar and... wait. Your attention was caught by the television next to the cashier who was watching it with concentration. "The Hawkins police are still investigating the murder of Angeline Holand and the 8 girls who have disappeared in the last few weeks" Said the reporter portrayed on the screen "Moreover, the police had hypothesized a possible connection with Eddie Munson, a student at Hawkins High but it seems he also disappeared recently" at those words you go back to concentrating on the shelves "But apparently the disappearances seem to continue. Katherine Smith seems to have disappeared just today out of nowhere, the parents are worried and hope to be able to find their beloved daughter" he continued as the woman let out an anxious sigh.
“Well, apparently they are more alert now than they were before…” You think as you grab a snack from the shelves.
Your gaze seemed lost, your breathing heavy and your chest had become heavy. You can't explain how you got to this point...
You were just a good student in love with Eddie Munson The Freak. It seems absurd but it was like that, a smart and shy girl like you fell at the feet of the most hated and scary boy in school, but obviously that didn't matter to you. You were madly in love with him, you followed him, every now and then you greeted him, you stole some of his things... you were fucking obsessed with him. His person, his way of doing things, his character, his style, his perfume, what he did, everything! Everything you knew about him made you adore him even more and you couldn't help it. You talked to each other and every now and then you even had great conversations and this made you happy every day. He was the man you wanted to have by your side, that bad boy who wasn't so bad that you wanted so much in your life, he was perfect for you, he had to be yours.
You had to do it, you had to tell him how you felt, you had to take this weight off your shoulders.
That day you met Eddie behind the school near the woods, where you both spent your days. The moment seemed magical but something left you heartbroken when a cheerleader with perfect long hair interrupts you and brings the boy with her. You were really upset about it and it had pushed you to the limit.
Angeline Holand...
Barb Holand's little sister and Hawkins High cheerleader. She was beautiful but didn't have excellent grades, she liked parties and boys in general. You learned that Angeline had sex with lots of different guys just to have sex with them and then dump them when they didn't suit her. It was a secret that you managed to discover by pure chance and this had worked in your favor.
You really didn't want that cheap bitch to use Eddie as a sex toy, so you made up your mind that you were going to ruin her life in a drastic way. Days later the whole school found out about this secret of hers and after several weeks, Eddie kept away from her, but obviously this wasn't enough for you, you were too pissed off that the humiliation was nothing for you. One Wednesday afternoon you found her in an abandoned park crying from the constant teasing she endured every day, poor thing isn't it? No, not at all. You thought when you then caught her by surprise and stabbed her at least ten times in the chest. You hated her so much.
You vented all the anger that bitch had caused you for even thinking you could subjugate your beloved. Angeline, unlike many others, you burned her in an abandoned factory, but you didn't expect it to go up in flames. You managed to run away but the police found Angeline's body and the stab wounds in her chest and started an investigation. You can't understand the reason for all that violence, it wasn't like you... you even went so far as to consult a psychologist but obviously you couldn't tell him about your murder for which you said you killed someone in a dream.
At first he didn't say anything to you thinking it was just a temporary thing. But going forward you had to deal with more hassles surrounding Eddie and you couldn't stand that, and you did it again and again and again. Four other stupid bitches were dead and gone as of today but you didn't kill the rest of the others. The police had already been alerted, so starting a massacre would have been inconvenient for you. The others were bullied, or expelled, others you even threatened, and they simply ran away. No news, not a letter, a goodbye, nothing. They were missing...
Obviously you explained this to your psychologist and he, after hearing that you continued to have these "dreams", simply told you that it foreshadowed an aggressive, neurotic personality and a history of violence. This left you with some doubts and worries. You don't think you've ever suffered violence but either you never thought you would be capable of being aggressive, you didn't really think so, and now here you are. The serial killer that everyone is talking about and who they are now looking for while citizens keep themselves safe while also protecting their children.
You let out a big sigh and as soon as you were sure you had taken everything you went to pay. The woman named “Taylor” noticed you a few minutes later, she was more interested in the news than doing her job apparently.
"It's twenty dollars" She said as she looked back at the screen. You paid and watched television too. The reporter was interviewing the police chief Jim Hopper "We think that the suspect in the possible disappearances or alleged murders is a student at Hawkins High, for now we ask everyone to stay at home" The police chief announced while the cashier Taylor commented to low voice “Surely he is a killer who kills poor innocent girls” You tilted your head slightly “Do you think so?” You asked with a worried look trying to act like the poor helpless girl, she looked at you surprised that you heard her and she nodded "Yes dear, so stay safe, a young girl like you shouldn't be wandering around alone, not now that there are crazy people like that out there" You gave her a smile "I will, thank you very much and see you again" she said goodbye to you and you left the supermarket heading home.
“Holy shit…” that was all you could say at a moment like that. You had messed up but ultimately you couldn't go back and now you would have to live with it. Since the police suspected that the killer was a student at Hawkins High, they decided to interrogate every single student, calling everyone a suspect, and closing the school until the case was solved. This had sent you into a crisis... after you had finally chased away every fucking threat you were finally ready to declare yourself to Munson, holy shit! Nothing seemed to go right and Eddie, like the other students, doesn't trust anyone but his friends. You couldn't do it anymore, you had to do it...
You couldn't have done otherwise.
After two days of his disappearance you came across his uncle Wayne hanging a paper with his nephew pictured where it was written that he was missing. You felt guilty, but you already were. You regret what you did but you couldn't have avoided it in any way, and you also could have avoided it...how? Your head was still a mess and you started to think that you should have taken action for this aggressive and violent behavior of yours.
You finally arrived home and took out your keys. Just a few years ago, after the death of your parents you had a secluded house that still needed to be fixed up, but it wasn't bad, you had everything you needed: gas, water and electricity. You just needed to rearrange the furniture and get a real bed to sleep on instead of the couch. You opened the door and as soon as you closed it with a turn of the key, you also closed the security locks on the door. You placed the grocery bag on the kitchen counter and began to put everything away. Then you realized all that strange silence and looked out at the corridor that led to the various rooms.
"Eddie?" You called him and then went to check the first room and realized he wasn't there. You think you had an anxiety attack and you went looking for him in the other rooms and then you saw him in your room, lying on the mattress tied with his wrists behind his back with his bare chest while the sheets were as messy as the rest of the room. You went back to your side when you then remembered that you had moved Eddie to your room to give him more comfortable treatment. He looked up and then came back with his face on the pillow.
He hates you.
You knew it very well. You walked closer to him "Hey Eds, I've been shopping, I bought you your favorite puddings" you told him as you walked closer. You lay down on the mattress next to him and saw his apathetic face. He didn't answer you... he's been like this ever since you argued. You then noticed his red cheeks and the damp pillow and realized that he had been crying. This made you feel even more guilty. You knew very well that you were wrong, what you had done the night you fought made him become more afraid of you. You certainly couldn't say he wasn't wrong, out of frustration you tortured him with electric batons until he apologized to you. You immediately regretted it but you never apologized again...
"Okay...listen. I know you don't want to talk to me and I understand, I wouldn't talk to me either, especially for what I did to you" You sat down and admired his curls falling from his shoulders to his collarbones. Eddie looked up and his chocolate brown irises met yours. That look...that poor, desperate look that makes you think "what did he do to deserve this?"
You wanted to know too. You didn't want this...you just wanted to be with him and live the life of two young adults in love.
"I'm really sorry for what I did to you...I'm sorry for everything, I didn't mean to get this far," You came closer while you caressed his cheek with one hand "I didn't want to hurt, but I done, I made many people suffer, I know... but they wanted to distance you from me" Eddie didn't answer you and continues to listen "I can understand if you hate me, or if you want me to die in their place, I understand, I'm ruining your life, I brought you here and I took you away from your friends and your uncle" Your breathing was quickening as your eyes burned and started to get shiny "But know that I didn't want to shed so much blood, I wanted just you Eddie. I wanted to go out with you, play Dungeon & Dragons with your friends and spend the evenings like a normal couple... I didn't want to reduce you like this, I'm sorry" You said while your voice was breaking. You bent down to give a kiss to his scalp and remained in that position for several minutes "I promise you that I will make everything right. I will do everything for you and I swear that I will never be mean to you or other people again, I swear."
"Why did you become like this?..." You heard him speak and at his question tears wet your cheeks. "I don't know Eds..." You started to cry leaning your face close to his ear wetting his dark curls "I just wanted you and to stay with you forever, I don't want anyone to take you away from me, I know you are disappointed, you expected a better girl but I can become one if you want,"
"Y/N–" You didn't let him continue the sentence "I'll try to become the girl you want so much, I'll do everything I can, I'll put an end to this serial killer thing and then I'll let you go, but please don't abandon me Eddie" you heard him hiss something as you pressed several kisses to his curls, your hand caressing his shoulder as you felt his cold skin “I want you to calm down” He said in a calm voice “I won't” You looked at him. God, how you wished those words were true "It's not true..."
"You will abandon me and hand me over to the police..." Eddie looked at you and said nothing "Don't make fun of me. I know very well that I screwed up, but I promise you that I will make it up to you, and then you will learn to love me" You gave another kiss but this time on his cold shoulder "I'm not lying to you Y/N." You were about to reply but he doesn't let you do it "It's true, I'm afraid of you and everything you've done and maybe I even hate you, but you're still my Y/N...you need to be helped" He said him shaking his head. He was right, the psychologist wasn't enough but you didn't know what else to do, you were just so scared. Afraid that Eddie would take the right opportunity to run away and abandon you "You're not calling me crazy are you?" He didn't answer you, in fact your question was stupid too, it was obvious that he thought so "I'm not crazy" you took a breath as you tried to calm down "The psychologist told me that I have an aggressive personality, and I've tried everything but I couldn't hold back and I'm sorry for that" The metalhead's eyes looked different, they weren't scared but worried.
“Y/N...” He called out to you “Please calm down...” his tone seemed sympathetic “I don't want you to be afraid of me Eds” The tears started to fall again “I understand sweetheart. I can't forgive you for everything you've done, but I'll try to do it" At those words your heart was filling with happiness "Really?" He nodded "I didn't think you'd get to this point, but I'm ready to help you if it means getting my Y/N back" You were definitely happy. Eddie always loved you so much, for him you were perhaps his closest friend but now he had another person ahead of him, and he would have fought to get the old one back. You had definitely changed and perhaps this had made you a monster in everyone's eyes but especially in Eddie's "Please Eddie...Help me" You started crying again as you curled up next to him resting your head on the pillow and hugging him " I'll treasure, don't worry" his words were sweeter than any elegant sharp blade "I'm so sorry, I'm really sorry..." You began to blurt out as a kiss was pressed to your temple. After that gesture you got up and went into the other room with Eddie looking at you confused. You came back with a chain and a 50 kg weight. You tied the chain to the boy's ankle and then freed his wrists, he didn't react or say anything, he just shook his sore wrists and then followed your movements with his eyes. You lay next to him again, hugging him and he did the same thing gently stroking your hair "I'm sorry..." You said again as you buried your head in the crook of his neck "Shh, it's okay".
You hadn't been happier in your entire life.
The house phone rang three times before Eddie could reach it, cursing under his breath as he detangled himself from his bed sheet. Shirtless and out of breath, he answered with a sharp, annoyed tone, which quickly disappeared when he heard your meek voice on the other end. He looked around the living room and noticed that his uncle wasn’t back from his graveyard shift, which meant it was smack dab in the middle of the night.
“What’s going on,” he asked gently, leaning against the kitchen counter; his question was met with silence, and he gave you a few moments before asking if he needed to come get you. “Where are you?”
His voice was concerning and sweet, so you gave him the address of the house party you were at. He promised to be there as soon as he could, hanging up and running a tired hand over his face. Eddie didn’t mind being your personal chauffeur, but these calls were weighing on his heart. Ever since losing Max and ending Vecna, once and for all, your mental state faltered. Everyone was hurting, but you were the one that had promised the young girl that everything would be fine, and you were the one who answered Lucas’s screams for help while Erica ran to telephone 9-11. Nothing could ever erase the burned memory of seeing Max’s lifeless body or the wrecked expression on Lucas’s face as the world shook beneath the three of you. Watching the whole town erupted in chaos – all while trying to not think about the others in the Upside-Down. It had taken a few hours before you would even know the others were fine, that Eddie was fine. When he arrived at the hospital with Steve, Robin, and Dustin, Max was still unresponsive and on life support – as soon as he laid his eyes on you, he knew that you were wrecked, and he held you in his arms for hours. A few days later, Mike, Eleven, and Will arrived at the hospital and two days later, Maxine Mayfield left the world. That night, you arrived drunk at Eddie’s trailer, whiskey oozed through your pores and when Eddie opened the door, you fell off the porch. He had cursed and helped you into the home, taking you to his bedroom and laying you on his bed.
“…I promised her…” was all you could say, over and over, as Eddie placed a blanket over you. He laid next to you, eyes watching carefully as you muttered until sleep came over you – you slept for sixteen hours, straight through the next day and when you had awakened, you couldn’t recall how you arrived at the Munson’s’ residence.
Now, Eddie was driving across town to some stranger’s house to get you; no doubt in his mind that you were piss drunk – he never met anyone who could drink so damn much, but he placed no blame on you. He had seen how badly Max’s death affected the whole group, but there was no doubt of the kinship the two of you shared. He couldn’t even count the times he saw the two of you lounging outside the Mayfield trailer – lawn chairs sprawled in front, an ice chest decked in the middle, and music playing from the boombox you had gotten Max for her birthday. He’d find himself watching from the living room window, not trying to drool too much over you – now, every time he’d glance out the same window, all he saw were ghost memories of what had been.
He arrived ten minutes after your call, parked in front of a two-story house – people were piling in and out, cars parked on the lawn. Eddie got out of the car, didn’t even change; still wearing his black gyms shorts and white Led Zeppelin shirt.  He drudged towards the house, bed hair and all; a few people greeted him, and he just waved, not in the mood to entertain. Luckily, he didn’t even have to go inside the house, because he found you sitting on the porch swing alongside Steve and Robin. The duo looked relieved when he walked up, giving them each a nod before bending to your eye level; he rested his palm om his knee and said your name. Your head lifted from Robin’s shoulder and Eddie smiled, holding out his hand to you.
“You came,” you murmured.
“Of course, I did,” he cooed, giving your knee a little pat. He stood up then and Steve gave him a concerned look. Eddie just waved a hand and helped you off the porch; your body was heavier than usually, because you were completely relaxed. The alcohol did that for you and he understood why you wanted to use it to numb the pain – shit, he used weed to calm his anxieties.  “Alright, sweetheart, let’s get you to the van.”
“Let me help,” Steve said, getting up from the swing. Eddie sent him a thankful glance as the two of them lead you to the van, Robin trialing behind with your handbag. The three friends didn’t say a single word until you were buckled up and the passenger door was closed. Robin handed over the handbag to Eddie and he tried to smile, but almost lost his composure when Steve placed a supportive hand on his shoulder.
“She was doing okay, but then she just kept drinking,” he explained, letting go of Eddie. Robin concurred and added that you were even sneaking drinks when Steve cut you off. Eddie listened and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before thanking the two for having you call.
“No worries, we care about her. I know losing Max was hard on her…”
“…on all of us,” Steve added, looking away as Robin placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Yeah, I appreciate you guys lookin’ out for her – she’s…my girl,” Eddie almost smiled, glancing at the passenger window, where your head rested. He sighed and gave each of his friends a nod, before bidding them a goodnight. They watched with heavy hearts as Eddie hopped into the van and drove off, the air as thick as the alcohol in your blood.
The trailer looked peaceful when Eddie pulled up, parking right at the porch steps. He turned the engine off and jogged to the passenger side, opening the door carefully and helping you out of the car. You were more coherent when he placed an arm around your waist, guiding you up the steps and to the front door. Once inside, he helped you straight to his bedroom but not before asking if you needed to use the restroom – you whispered no, and he quickly helped you to the bed. Your back fell down onto the mattress and Eddie stared down at you; your eyes were glazed and all he could see was a fragment of the person you once were. Regardless, he loved you.
“How about some water?”
“…can you just scratch my back?”
Eddie laughed, for the first time in hours, and he crawled over you, landing on the mattress. “Come here.”
He laid flat on his back, and you snuggled up against him, laying on your side and resting your left leg over his hips. His right hand came over your thigh and the other snaked around your shoulder, over to the top of your back. You made a whiny noise when his fingers lifted your shirt and started scratching up and down you skin. He leaned his head a bit to kiss the top of your head and he remarked on how he could smell the booze on you.
“Well, I did drink Steve under the table…”
“…bet it wasn’t hard at all.”
“Yeah,” you whispered, closing your eyes, and relaxing to the motion of Eddie’s chest faintly rising and then falling. His body was warm and you wished you could spend forever in bed with him, away from the reality of not being able to see Max again – to spend countless hours with her at the mall, to giving her hair trims in your kitchen, or listen to her complain about Lucas with a smile on her face. You were never going to see her again, give her sisterly hugs and advice – the times you spent thinking about her future and helping her get back on track with school, encouraging her to continue her writing and to find something she was passionate about. All that time you had with Max was never going to be enough and you lived – God damn, what you wouldn’t do to trade places with her.
“I miss her…” you voice was so low you were sure Eddie hadn’t heard but then he pulled you closer and kissed you on the forehead. Tears escaped your eyes as he promised you everything would be okay. “I promised the same thing to Max and now she’s gone.”
This time a sobbed erupted from your throat and Eddie closed his eyes as you clung to him, holding on as if something was pulling you into a dark abyss – and then he realized, as he held you tight, he was the one holding on for dear life. He was the one that was afraid of losing you, because you were slipping through the cracks – everyone else, they were at least trying to move forward, even Lucas. He had busied himself with school and basketball, plus he had his sister and family. You? You were floating around like a ghost and Eddie was the only person you had, and he was terrified that you were going to lose this battle. That the light would never return to your eyes or even worse, you were going to drink yourself to an early death.
“You’re going to get through this,” he promised, hand rubbing up and down your back. The motion relaxed your sobs and you nestled into his side; fingers wrapped around the hem of his shirt. He relaxed then, knowing he was doing the best he could and that was enough, that had to be enough.
“I love you, Eddie,” you whispered, head leaned back to get a look at him. He smiled then, lifting his hand from your leg to brush away dampened hair from your face. He looked so thoughtfully beautiful, and you were glad to have someone to hold on to, glad it was him.
“I love you too, sweetheart – let’s try to get some sleep, yeah?”
You agreed and allowed him to turn off the lamp beside his bed, and when the room went completely dark – the light from the moon shined through the bedroom window, and for a moment, as you gazed sleepily at the corner of the room, you swore you saw Max. It could have been the copious amounts of alcohol you had consumed or your mind seeing what it wanted, but suddenly a wave of comfort flooded over your body and for a split second, you felt peace. A single tear fell down your face and then you smiled.
“Eddie…”
“…yeah?”
“I want to take flowers to Max tomorrow…”
Eddie’s fingers paused from scratching your back, you hadn’t been to the cemetery since the funeral a few weeks ago. He was surprised but pleased – he knew losing Max had forever altered you, but maybe this was a step forward. Maybe one day he’d get to see his girl again smile and if you couldn’t, he would do it for you – he would smile enough for the two of you.
“Yeah, baby, we can pick up some flowers too,” he lifted your chin up with his finger and you glanced up at him. God, he loved you. Would do anything for you and if that meant carrying your spirit around until you were ready to reclaim it, then he’d do it proudly. “I love you.”
With heavy eyes, you captured a kiss from him before resting your head back on his chest; Eddie continued to scratch your back until the sounds of your soft snoring filled the room and only then, when he knew you were sound asleep, did he too fall asleep under the moon light sprouting through the window.
All i want - Steve Harrington oneshot
Tumblr media
Angst, hurt-comfort (most hurt tbh), NOT HAPPY AT ALL, breaking up, xreader, takes time after s4, gender neutral
warning: S4 spoilers
Y/n feels useless to the group, after the whole vecna situation where her bestfriend Eddie munson died, they fear for their boyfriend's life .
based on "All i want" by kodaline
Tumblr media
you wanted to leave hawkins, after the whole vecna situation you were tempted to leave and not look back. You didn't want to leave your friends, you thought over and over if that was being selfish, but you had to admit your fear, you had a life in hawkins, you had a longtime boyfriend, best friends, but you feared for your life, your boyfriend's and your friends lives.
one of you could be vecna's next victim, you don't know if you could handle one more death, one of your best friends died that day and a girl you considered a sister fell into a coma, you can't stand the thought of not being able to protect steve .
you didn't know how you were going to convince Steve, you rethought several times about how you were going to talk to him and all thoughts led to the current moment, you were face to face with Harrington both were talking too loudly.
"You can only be kidding" he said loudly walking around with one hand on his waist and the other gesturing, you stared at him, an incredulous smile took over your boyfriend's face.
"Steve I can't lose you, I can't lose even one more person i love to defend a shitty city that doesn't know how to live in harmony" your voice came out almost in a scream, you tried to lower your tone, but you were worried and stressed with everything
“Y/n do you know what you're asking me? You're saying that I should give up everything I have here!" he just said that, he didn't yell or raise his tone, he just looked at you, a hard expression to read
“you won't be the only one leaving everything, i love you, i don't want to see you hurt and i'm willing to leave everyone for you!" I said watery eyes as I stared at the boy he took a deep breath looking at you, you felt tears start to run down your face, the boy's face had a worried expression
“I won't, I can't, I love you but I can't leave everyone y/n, you know how important you and they are to me" he said, this time avoiding looking at your face, you relaxed your shoulders silent tears streamed down your face, the boy's eyes were watering too but you knew better than no one he don't cry.
"So I'm going alone" you cried quietly, you were decided, you thought you weren't useful to the group, even if they said you were, you would never be able to protect your friends, you would leave before getting in the way and if that meant leaving the person you loved most in exchange for protecting him, you would, you failed to protect your family, you failed to protect munson, you would not fail again.
he looked at you in shock "Y/N don't do this, we need you, I need you." the last part was almost a whisper “I've already decided harrington” you said softly, he sighed and hugged you, both hugged eachother for a time, in complete silence.
“please don't do that” he spoke softly “I'm sorry” you spoke repeatedly hugging him “I love you” he said caressing your hair “I love you too” you said before separating from the hug, looking at each other “ take care Harrington” you said wiping your tears and turning to leave, it was a difficult decision but you knew Steve would never make you stay, he knew you, he knew that when you decide something you don't give up on it.
“you too, L/n” he spoke low but loud enough for you to hear. you left hawkins with your heart in hand after saying goodbye to the kids you loved so much, your dear friends and your now ex boyfriend. you regretted it, but you knew it was the best thing to do, at least you thought it was the best thing to do.
but if you loved me, why did you leave me?...
Hii, can I request some angst with Eddie Munson, where they're in a secret relationship, because she's not one of the "freaks" and Eddie didn't want her to get bullied for being with him. But the reader starts getting insecure and jealous when she sees him hanging out with Chrissy, and she thinks Eddie just doesn't want to be seen with her because she's not pretty enough.
Yess omg thank you for the request annon ^^
Am I pretty enough for you? Eddie munson x reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: insecurities, almost of agnst,
Y/N and Eddie had begun dating in the summer of 1985, she had just become a senior and was in the same year as him now. The two had been neighbours and grew up together. They were peas in a pod, so when eddie told her years later he liked her, of course she returned the feelings. But when school returned, he had one request
"Can we keep our relationship a secret at school? Ya know so we don't make other people jealous " He asked her. Y/N was a bit confused on why he wanted to keep it a secret. But she didn't push to ask why and agreed to it.
Y/N wasn't popular at school, but she wasn't unpopular. She could talk to everyone in her year and get along with them, but she wouldn't be invited to pool parties or asked to hang out after school. If she was in a social standard high-school group, it would be the 'chill kids'.
school rolled around and Y/N watched eddie from afar and he did the same. She'd laugh quietly when he stood on the table to yell about somthing, he'd watch her with a soft smile as she talked about somthing passionately with a friend at her table across the cafeteria. Y/N didn't mind doing this, because he always made up with cuddles and kisses after school.
But one day, Y/N was walking out of chemistry as she headed towards her locker. She opened it and noticed somthing a few feet away. Eddie was talking- no, LAUGHING with chrissy. The most popular and (in her eyes) beautiful girl at Hawkins high.
Y/Ns heart dropped. She notice eddie glance up and moved further towards her locker, the door blocking his sight of her.
'He doesn't want to be seen with me. Does he think I'm ugly ? Would he rather date chrissy? Maybe he's ashamed of me and their both laughing about me'
The thoughts traveled though her mind as her eyes filled with tears. She quickly grabbed her bag and threw it over her shoulder. Slamming the locked shut and walking down to the office, planning on being fake sick to go home early.
Meanwhile with Eddie and chrissy. The two were laughing about the middle school talent show. He hadn't talked to her in ages and Jason was out so she was able to do so without him yelling at Eddie.
Chrissy and Eddie's attention turned seeing Y/N rushing off to the principal office. "I wonder if she's alright "Chrissy said. She's had conversations with Y/N and thought she was so sweet. "Me too, can you keep a secret ?" He asked her. Chrissy nodded with a smile "She's my girlfriend " He told her with a proud smile. Chrissys eyes widened "Really? That's so sweet " She told him. She then stepped to the side, making him raise a brow "You should go check on her " She said with a kind smile.
Eddie nodded and smiled "See ya around Chrissy" He told her. He jogged down to the principals office. Eddie raised a brow as he saw Y/Ns mom pull up outside the school. What had happened? Before he could move, Y/N ran out of the office and to her Moms car " Y/N!" He tried to call after her. But no use, she kept running. He watched as the car drove away. He knew he had to do somthing, so He made a run for the car park and towards his van. Somthing was wrong with his girlfriend and he needed to know what
" I'm going out Y/N, take care!" Her mom yelled up the stairs a little while after they got back home. "Ok mom!" She called back. Her mom knew she wasn't sick, but could tell somthing was wrong so she let it go. Y/N was just sitting in bed staring at the wall. Thinking 'How could I be more beautiful for him?' Soon the doorbell rang. She got up and walked down the stairs, thinking her mom had left the keys at home and ran back to get them.
Y/N opened the door and raised a brow " Eddie?" She said surprised. School didn't end for at least another 4 hours, why was he here?" Y/N are you ok? You ran out of school before I could talk to you " He said, his voice looked worried as he leaned on the doorframe. Oh how Y/N just wanted to kiss him but, instead she said;
"So now your ok with being seen with me in the hallway?" She asked. Eddie looked at her confused "Sweetheart, what are you on about?" He asked as he stepped into the house.
"Don't act dumb Eddie! You don't have to pretend your not ashamed to be around me! That's why you wanted to keep us a secret. Cause your embarrassed to be seen with me" She told him. She couldn't stop the tears in her eyes. Eddie looked at her with a sad expression. He didn't know she felt this way. "Sweetheart, I'm not ashamed of you-" He tried to begin
"Then how come you can't be seen talking to your own girlfriend, but you can be seen talking to Chrissy?" She asked. The next words that left her mouth, almost broke Eddie, causing him to stare at her with a sad and worried expression.
"Am I pretty enough for you?" She asked, tears flooding down her face as she held back a sob. Eddie quickly ran over and wrapped his arms tightly around her in a hug. His own eyes tearing up.
" Your more than pretty enough sweetheart. Your beautiful, a Godess " He told her, rubbing her shoulder as she sobbed into his chest. He felt horrible for making her belive these things. " The reason I can't talk to you at school, is because I don't want you getting bullied because your dating me" He admitted. Y/N looked up from his chest, her face damp from the tears.
Eddie gently wiped them away with a small smile. " Eddie. I couldn't give a shit about what Happens. I just want to be able to hold my Boyfriend's hand as we walk down the hall or sit with you at lunch " She told him gently. Eddie thought for a moment before looking back at her
" Promise me, if anyone says or does anything to you, you'll tell me?" He asked. Y/N nodded " I promise I will " She smiled. Eddie gently placed a hand on her cheek and kissed her lips. Oh how he missed her. He loved the feeling of her soft lips
Y/N kissed him back happily. She was craving his touch all day. Eddie pulled away after a moment, resting his arms on her waist " I love you, Beautiful " He told her. "Love you too, Handsome " She giggled
Eddie smiled softly " How does movies and cuddles sound? " He asked. Y/N didn't give a reply but took his hand and ran up to her room. Eddie chuckled and followed her. If anyone mentioned anything bad at school tomorrow, he'd kill them. No one hurts his girl.
"Alright, Beth, it's your turn." Mary-Ann spoke from across the Truth Or Dare circle.
"Okay... Uh, Y/N... Truth or dare?" Beth asked you, her green eyes piercing yours.
You were at one of your friend's houses. She was throwing a party and you had nothing to do, so you decided to go. When the idea of truth or dare came up, you were a bit hesitant. But, that didn't stop your friends from convincing you to play. You still felt apprehensive about it though because this was your first time playing truth or dare. And now here you were, sitting across from Beth as she stared back at you, waiting for an answer. Her short blonde hair looked amazing against her pale complexion and her green eyes seemed to be gleaming just a little. She had always been out to get you.
You wished you never became friends with them in the first place but you basically had no choice. When you started high school, you were shy and weird and had no friends. Beth, Mary-Ann, and the others had come up to you in the beginning and invited you to join their table at lunch. The thought of finally having friends overthrew the worry of how terrible they might've been. You were tired of being lonely. And, you, desperate for friendship, was your downfall into the dark abyss of fake friends and blackmail.
"Dare," You said, looking down. "Might as well, right?" You chuckled shyly with a shrug.
Beth chuckled, smirking, "Mm, I dare you to ask The Freak out to Prom."
You froze. Eyes wide as your jaw slowly dropped. "Are... Are you serious... I can't do that." You laughed at the absurdity.
It's not like you didn't like the guy. Against the judgment of your 'friends', you really liked Eddie. You didn't want to ask him based on a dare. You doubted he'd even say yes to you. You were considered a very popular girl. He was just some freak who everyone ignored. But, to you, he was misunderstood. He was just a guy who likes metal music, leather, and tattoos.
"C'mon, it'll be fun!" Mary-Ann said, laughing. "I mean if you don't do the dare... You know what we have to do..." She smirked, and you let out a shaky sigh.
You couldn't refuse. Why did you say 'dare?' Oh god... "Fine..." You sighed, slumping your shoulders.
~~~
The next day, you stood at your locker with your so-called friends as they giggled and spoke in hushed voices. You let out a sigh as you shut your locker. Eddie was at his own locker, talking to some kid you knew from his D&D club. He was laughing at something the kid had said, nudging his friend's shoulder jokingly. You couldn't help but stare until Beth gained your attention.
"Do it." She demanded in your ear, grinning from ear to ear. "Don't be a wimp."
You let out another sigh as your brain fought your heart until your brain finally won and you slowly walked over.
"Hey." You greeted the two, feeling rather awkward as Eddie stared down at you.
Eddie gave you his typical smile, "What can I do for you, princess?" He asked, placing his hands in his jeans pockets.
Your face grew warm and you could feel your cheeks flush. You cleared your throat nervously, "Uh, I wanted to ask you something."
He raised an eyebrow curiously, tilting his head to the side. "What's up?"
You tried to think of what to say. Should you tell him the truth? What if he doesn't want to go with you anyway? Maybe you could back out? No, you knew what Beth would do...
"I was wondering... If you'd like to go to Prom with me?" You blurted out, voice wavering slightly as you saw his eyes widen in surprise.
His mouth opened and closed several times before he stammered out, "That's... Um... Wow."
Mary-Ann and Beth burst out into laughter from afar, causing you to blush embarrassed.
Eddie gave you a small smile, "Sure... Yeah... I'd like that."
You smiled back, "Okay, cool! Uh, awesome." You said in relief and shock.
"I can pick you up," Eddie stopped you. "If that's okay?"
You nodded, "Yeah. That sounds great. I'm... I'm gonna go." You laugh awkwardly, before turning around, your smile instantly turning into a frown as you immediately felt bad. You felt so sick to your stomach. How could you do that? Did you seriously just ask him to prom? Of course, you would've loved to go with him, but without a dare holding you to it.
You slowly walked back over to your friends, them all cackling like the witches they were.
"Oh my god! Look who has a brain! The Freak is going to take you to Prom!" Mary-Ann squealed as she clapped, and Beth gave her an evil smirk.
"I told ya! That was easy!" She giggled.
"Shut up!" You growled, glaring at both of them. "This is stupid. You know the reason why I did this." You huffed, before quickly walking away from them.
~~~
"Dude! She asked you out!" Dustin exclaimed, patting Eddie on the shoulder.
Eddie smirked lightly, "See, Henderson? I told you she liked me."
Dustin rolled his eyes, "Just because you catch her looking at you doesn't mean that she likes you..."
Edie shrugged, "She asked me though. Thank god cause I didn't think I could do it myself. She is so metal." He dreamily sighed, smiling at where you had walked down the hallway.
"Yeah, I didn't think you could either," Dustin replied, only for Eddie to hit him on the back of the head.
~~~
Walking down the aisle with your mother, you gazed from dress to dress; looking for the one to wear to Prom.
"So, you asked Eddie?" Your mother finally spoke up from beside you.
You looked up at her briefly, face flushed as you nodded. "Yeah, I did. What about it?" You said defensively.
She pursed her lips together, "Well... Well... It's just... I was hoping you'd go with someone on the team? What about john? He really is nice, and I thought he was interested in you... This Eddie kid, he's not exactly your type..."
"What does that matter, Ma?" You frowned, feeling more and more frustrated. "John's a jerk, and how do you know who I like or not?"
"Have you even given John a chance?" She continued, watching you intently.
You huffed, "Of course I have! But he-"
"But, you're too scared to actually give it a real shot!" She interrupted, "You should've waited for John to ask you to Prom." She sighed, shaking her head.
You frowned, "Why are you doing this? Why are you getting involved in this? You promised me you wouldn't get into it anymore." You scowled, placing your hand over your forehead angrily.
"I am your mother," She said simply. "And, I will do what I see fit."
"I don't need you telling me what to do," You grumbled, folding your arms over your chest. "I'm eighteen."
"No, you are not!" She snapped, eyes narrowing. "Until you move out of my house, you won't be a child."
You glared at her, "Whatever. Let's just get a dress and go. I have homework."
~~~
You glared at the dress on the hook in your open closet. Your dear mother picked it out, since she said that it would look nice on you. It was ugly, to put it plainly. The dress was white and made of lace and silk. In fact, the entire outfit looked like something your grandmother would wear to a wedding. There was a puffy skirt with a high turtleneck and long puffy sleeves. You hated it. It made you look old-fashioned. You loathed it. But, your mother wanted to see it again.
"Ugh..." You groaned, looking up at yourself in the mirror.
You grimaced, pulling the dress down a little more.
"What's the problem?" Your mother asked, placing her hands on her hips as she stared at you through the mirror.
"I hate it. I look terrible." You mumbled, clenching your fists at your side.
Her eyes widened, "You look beautiful!" She exclaimed, "Come here, let me fix your makeup."
You sat down in front of your vanity. "I don't want to wear it. It's not me." You complained.
"You'll wear it, and like it. I paid good money for this." Your mother seethed, jabbing the makeup brush in the blush palette. "And, you're gonna wear it. You can't go to prom with your messy and ratty hair. You'll regret it later if you do."
You sighed, glancing out the window. You didn't know why your mother wanted to test run the dress, hair, and make-up. The prom was a couple of days away.
That night, you slid out of your bed, grabbed your over-the-shoulder bag, and headed to your window. You slid it open and climbed out, before walking all the way back to the store. Just like prom, your mother had bought you a dress for homecoming too. That dress, you had no choice in wearing, and just like the prom one, you felt terrible in it. What made it worse was your so-called friends had made fun of you. You didn't want that to happen again.
You finally made it to the dress shop, an hour before it closed. You wandered around and found the dress you had an eye on when you came in the morning. It was beautiful. It was blue with black details of leaves and flowers. What fabric it was, you didn't know. But, it was soft to the touch. It even came with its own black silk gloves. It had a low-cut neckline and a fitted waist. The skirt flowed out into a ballerina shape. The skirt of the dress was long, ending just below your ankles. Taking it off the hook, you immediately bought it.
Climbing up the side of the house, you silently got back into your window, quickly hiding your new dress in an old box under your bed. You quickly chucked off your shoes and flopped on your bed, feeling more excited about the prom than you had before.
~~~
Sitting on the bottom of the stairs, you sat in your terrible dress and uncomfy shoes. Even your scalp was in pain from the tight top bun your mother gave you. You were at least glad that your mother didn't make you look like a clown with the makeup she put on you. You held your bag close to you as you waited for Eddie. You had your dress inside it. Thankfully, your mother bought the lie that you had some books you had to put back in your locker while you were at school.
Hearing the van pull up, you perked up, your mother at the entranceway to the living room sighing dramatically as she rolled her eyes. You were mortified that Eddie would have to see the terrible dress your mother had bought you, but you just told yourself you'd change soon and let out a sigh. A knock came at the door, making you jump slightly as you stood up. You pushed the hem of your dress down, smoothing it out as best you could as you walked to the door. Opening it, you spotted Eddie, smiling down at you. He was wearing what he usually wore, though he wore unripped black jeans, a nicer band shirt, and a black leather jacket over that. He looked very handsome... As always.
"Like the dress." He spoke first, giving you a once-over.
"Thanks..." You answered softly, as your mother crossed her arms, glaring at Eddie.
"Have her back by nine." She growled and Eddie nodded to her with his smile, giving her a small salute.
"No probs, ma'am. Nice meeting you." Eddie spoke, before offering his arm to you, which you quickly took.
As your mother slammed the door behind you, you let out a huge sigh. Eddie looked at you momentarily before opening the passenger-side door for you and getting on his side. Turning on the van and pulling out of the driveway, Eddie gave you a side glance, smirking slightly.
"Did I tell you how nice that dress looks on you?" He asked and you raised your hand to stop him.
"Stop, please." You sighed frustratedly as you then rubbed the bridge of your nose. "You don't have to lie to make me feel better about this. My mother picked it and I hate it. That's why when we get there I am changing."
Eddie curled an eyebrow, "Changing?"
"Yep." You popped the 'p'. "That's why I have this bad boy." You spoke, patting your bag in your lap. "I bought another dress and snuck it with me."
"Smart. Why did your mother pick the dress?" He asked and you rolled your eyes.
"She thinks he can dress me up like some little barbie doll and all I have to do is smile prettily." You huffed, turning to look out the window as Eddie laughed. "She never asks me what I want! She doesn't even care. I don't want to try out for cheerleading. I don't want to go out with John. And I don't want to pretend to be someone I am not."
Eddie hummed, frowning slightly. You weren't the popular young woman he thought you were. You weren't stuck up or anything like that. You just didn't like to get involved. You kept your head down and tried to stay out of trouble.
"I'm sorry you have to go through all that." He spoke, and you shook your head.
"Not your fault, Eddie. Not your fault at all. I'm just being stupid." You turned to face him, taking his hand in yours, squeezing gently.
He squeezed back, hoping you could see he fierce blush on his face, "You're not stupid, Y/N."
You shook your head, smiling as you let go. "Prom's about having fun, and we're going to have a blast. I promise."
Eddie smiled, nodding, "Okay, well, let's go." He spoke, smiling widely as he pulled the van up to the curb.
You giggled a bit as he opened your door for you, helping you out of the van and into the building.
Grabbing a hold of your bag, you stopped at a bathroom before turning to Eddie. "I'll be right back." You spoke quickly before rushing in to change.
Eddie stuffed his hands in his pockets, leaning against the wall as he waited, the smile on his face never falling. He couldn't believe he was at prom with you. You were so pretty, and he loved your hair. He loved everything about you. He wished you didn't have to hide who you were from everyone else. He didn't know what he was thinking. He didn't know what he was doing. He just knew he needed you.
A few minutes later, you slipped out of the bathroom. Eddie turned to look at you as you walked over, his eyes wide at your new appearance. You held your bag at your side, as you pulled the tight ponytail off, letting your hair loose and hanging down free. You had a smile on your face as you stopped in front of him.
"So? What do you think? Definitely a glow-up, right?" You asked with a laugh and Eddie nodded, speechless.
"You look... Stunning" He spoke softly, mouth dry as he wet his lips.
"Really?" You blushed, looking down.
"Yes... Totally..." He spoke, grabbing your chin with his fingers. "You look like royalty."
You smiled, your face flushing, "Thank you, Eddie."
Oh, how you said his name. Eddie shook his head, "No problem, princess." He sighed, "Shall we?" He asked, offering his arm once more which you gladly took.
"We shall."
~~~
Walking into the gym, the live band was playing music as couples were already dancing. Your eyes scanned the crowd as you slowly walked towards the refreshment table. Taking a drink from your glass, you spotted your friends sitting together, laughing as they talked. You quickly looked away, and Eddie noticed how you suddenly tensed. Placing his hand on your bare shoulder; he looked at you.
"Are you alright?" He asked and you nodded, remembering the whole dare that started this.
"I'm great, yeah. Let's uh, let's dance." You spoke, grabbing Eddie's hand and dragging him to the dance floor as a slow song began.
The two of you stood there awkwardly for a moment before you took Eddie's hands and reset them on your waist, wrapping your arms around his neck; pulling you both closer together. You swayed with each other, your eyes locked onto his. You didn't realize that your friends were staring at you and you didn't care. All you cared about was the fact that you were here with Eddie and that he was holding you close.
You felt Eddie squeeze tighter, before you heard him speak. "You look so beautiful tonight."
You blushed, your cheeks burning red as you leaned your head on his shoulder, "Thank you. You look really great too."
Eddie hummed, "I couldn't believe that you asked me out. I've liked you for a long time, Y/N." Eddie confessed, making you pull back slightly from Eddie with wide eyes.
"Really? I like you too." You spoke softly, trying to keep the nervousness from showing. "I mean, I've liked you since I was a freshman."
Eddie tilted his head, his brows rising as he stared at you. "You have been crushing on me for years?" He asked, sounding surprised.
"Yeah, but you're too good for me, Eddie. I'm not worth your time. You do what you want. You don't care what others think. I aspire to be just like you, to have your same confidence." You spoke softly, shyly.
Eddie chuckled lightly, shaking his head, "Impossible. You are the most perfect girl I have ever met. But thank you, Y/N."
Smiling softly, you nodded your head. "Thank you." You spoke again, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek before pulling back with a breathy sigh.
Eddie watched you as you pulled away, feeling his heart thumping in his chest. The way you leaned into him made him feel warm inside. He didn't know what was happening between you and him. It was so fast and unexpected. It was as if time slowed to a stop as you stared into Eddie's dark eyes before your eyes landed on his lips. You wanted to know what they tasted like, to know if he was as sweet as he seemed. You didn't think twice before reaching up to touch him.
Your entire world stopped as your lips with his own. He closed his eyes, savoring the taste of you. You moaned softly as his hands lifted from your waist and ran up your sides as he pressed himself against you. He held you close as he deepened the kiss, one of his hands grasping the back of your head, his fingers tangling into your silky hair. You grasped onto him tighter, your own hand gently tugging at his curly locks. You melted to him. Your body melted into his as you kissed passionately.
"You taste like rainbows..." He whispered against your lips, kissing you again.
"Rainbows?" You hummed, as Eddie broke the kiss, panting heavily as he looked down at you.
"Like rainbows... Cotton candy... Strawberries... Do you have chapstick on or something?" He asked, his mind on cloud nine as you looked up at him, giggling.
"No, I don't think so. My mother hates makeup on lips, she says it's disgusting." You spoke softly as the music slowly ended, "Thank you for coming with me, Eddie."
Eddie nodded, heart still racing, as was yours, "Of course."
"Well, I'm going to go to the ladies' room. Could you get me a drink while I'm gone?" You asked and Eddie nodded, squeezing your waist before letting you go.
"Sure thing, princess."
~~~
Eddie watched as you walked out of the gym, sighing as he walked over to the refreshments table, grabbing two cups and filling them with the punch.
"Oh my god, she did it. I can't believe it." Eddie heard from his spot at the table.
"I know right? She actually asked that fool out! What a loser!" Another girl laughed, making Eddie roll his eyes.
"I mean, we did dare her to do it. It wasn't like Y/N had a choice!" The other girl screeched, making Eddie freeze.
What were they talking about?
"And he fell for it! He's as big of a loser as she is!" The first girl yelled happily, making Eddie feel his blood boil.
He didn't understand why they were calling you names like that. He didn't understand why you would do this. He didn't understand anything. Eddie filled the cup halfway, before he grabbed another cup, filling it with water from the cooler, and stormed out of the gym, leaving the girls behind. Eddie frowned as you rushed up to him with a huge smile. But, once you saw his frown, your smile also fell.
"Eddie? What's wrong?" You asked and Eddie rolled his eyes.
"You think I'm dumb, do you? I know about the dare." He spoke, raising an eyebrow. "I know what you and your little friends had set me up to."
You blushed, "Oh." You murmured softly. "That's not true though." You spoke quickly, grabbing his hand. "It's a misunderstanding. Let me explain, please." You begged with wide eyes only for Eddie to pull his hand away.
"I don't want to hear your lies." He spoke as he rushed out of the gym, following closely behind.
"No! Eddie. Please, listen to me."
You glanced over to your friends as you followed Eddie outside, watching them talking about you. You were done with them from now on.
"Stop following me." He spoke, chugging the punch before getting to his van, and tossing the empty cup inside.
"Eddie, please. Stop." You pleaded, finally reaching him as he finally turned around to face you, glaring down at you.
"I heard what they said, Y/N. You asking me to prom was a dare and I was dumb enough t fall for it." He spoke coldly, pointing at you. "I am not falling for any of your tricks, Y/N." He spat the words out angrily, causing you to gasp as you stared up at him in shock.
"I'm sorry Eddie. I didn't mean for it to happen. I swear." You spoke softly, placing your hand on his cheek as he shook his head, pushing your hand away. "Please, just... Let me explain... And, after if you want me to leave you alone... I will."
Eddie stared at you for a moment before nodding.
You let out a sigh, biting your lip briefly before speaking, "I was dared to ask you, that part is true."
Eddie scoffed but you quickly continued.
"But I didn't have bad intentions! Those girls dared me too because they knew I liked you and if I didn't ask you they..." You felt your eyes water, tears threatening to fall down your cheeks. "Beth... She has blackmailed me. And she threatened to use it if I didn't do the dare."
Eddie's glare softened slightly, "Blackmail?"
You ran a hand through your hair as you sighed, "I... Beth found out that I..." You swallowed, pushing through, "That I had my first kiss with a girl..."
Eddie's eyes widened slightly. "Your first kiss was a girl?" He questioned, his voice sounding shocked.
"Yes, and Beth blackmailed me. If I didn't ask you to prom then she would tell everyone what happened. So, I thought that the best way to help myself was to just ask you." You spoke softly, wiping the tears away as you looked up at Eddie.
"And that's why you asked me?" Eddie asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Y-yes. But, I do really really like you, Eddie. What I said in there was all the truth."
Eddie sighed and looked down, he felt awful now, but he had to know one thing. "Did... Did the kiss mean anything to you?"
You smiled softly, "Yeah, it meant a lot. I... I love you, Eddie." You admitted shyly.
Eddie stared at you in shock as you blushed. Eddie blinked a few times before looking down at your hand, taking it in his own.
"I'm glad that you told me the truth."
You nodded, "Me too. I don't think I'll be hanging out with them any time soon."
"I wouldn't worry about that." Eddie smirked slightly as he leaned down, gently brushing his lips against yours.
His lips were soft as they pressed against yours, soft like silk. You kissed Eddie deeply, your hands running along his back as he groaned and cupped your face with his large hand. His other hand slid down to your waist, gripping you tightly as he deepened the kiss.
He pulled back, staring into your eyes as he breathed heavily.
You smiled widely, "Maybe we should go somewhere else?"
"What about your nine o'clock curfew?" Eddie asked, his hands rubbing up and down your sides.
"What curfew?" You said before leaning up and kissing him.
Eddie nodded, humming, before breaking the kiss, "I know a place."
You smiled brightly as you nodded your head, "Yeah?"
Eddie grinned before kissing you again, deeper this time. He pushed you against the side of the van and pinned you against it, kissing you heatedly. He pulled away, the both of you breathing heavily, "Yeah. If you want to." He asked and you nodded, smiling lightly.
"Take me. I'm yours."

3 Years Runnin’
Title is a work in progress.
Eddie Munson | 3 Years Runnin
Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 5.5k
Contains: Fluff, light agnst, Awkward “they like each other but neither of them know” conversation, Virgin!Eddie, Shy!Reader, Anxiety, Reader works with Robin and Steve, and is friends with Nancy. Alludes to reader also helping gang with the Upside Down. Vague mention of weed/dealing, also Sad Eddie.
Prompt: Honestly, I was inspired by this post by @loveronlineee about how Eddie seems all cool and charismatic like he’d be cool with the ladies, when in reality... he’s a big DnD loving nerd. He’s likely maybe kissed one person. In this fic he’s never kissed anyone.
Author’s Note: I have went down the rabbit hole from Wednesday to Friday reading Eddie x Reader fics and now I really want to write. I didn’t know where to start until I was inspired so thank you xoxo for that inspiration. This fanfic has started off fluffy but will get more heated, I promise. Minors DNI for that simple reason as for when it DOES get heated. It’s my first time posting on this tag so please be gentle... thank you!
Tumblr media
Despite what some might believe (you), Eddie has…limited experience in dating. Despite what his suave, charismatic, erratic, and charming upfront of a personality would tell you, his Hellfire club, and the entire school even he had never had even so much even kissed a girl. Or boy. He tentatively liked the idea of it but was certainly sure it wasn’t going to happen until after high school.
Eddie might take being called a Freak with a roll of his eyes or a middle finger, but he knew as long as he was in highschool (still) no one would want to be pulled into the scrutiny he faced. His Hellfire club always knew when they joined that they’d be wrapped up in being called a cult, but they were never picked on or scrutinized as much as Eddie. They would get a chuckle as Eddie hissed at a random passer or momentarily embraces his label, but the word Freak usually stays on him alone. If there is any moment where his club members get pulled into it, he takes the attention off of them immediately. He doesn’t wish this on anyone.
Behind closed doors and at the end of the day, sometimes it leads to a muffled sob at night. He never gives them more than five minutes. He refuses to give them the satisfaction of knowing he is at all affected by it.
Eddie was once compared to Steve Harrington in the midst of a break during one of the more tamed DnD campaigns by one of the old and now graduated members of Hellfire. Eddie was surprised by this comparison, intrigued. “What do you mean,” he asked, careful to hide his surprise to the comparison to the resident douchebag of their school.
The club member laughed, ruffling his sandy brown hair. “No man you guys are just both so charismatic.” They laughed, looking at their character sheets absentmindedly. “I mean, you see Steve. He is dripping in the ladies. It wouldn’t surprise me if you had that in common.” Eddie was rendered speechless, but didn’t let it show. He cockily winked at his pal, suddenly aware that his persona was a lot more convincing than he initially thought. It was even convincing the people closest to him.
Eddie’s charisma or general confidence might have convinced one person (that he knew of) he was a real lady killer, like Hendersen or Hargrove, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. They were literally cool kids. Kids who were welcomed at parties and expected at big social events. He’s a metalhead who enjoys writing new sadistic campaigns in his free time or talking to his guitar. How the hell was he ever going to touch, kiss, fuck, anyone?
That’s were you came in.
The truth is, you were obsessed with Eddie Munson. His hair, his rings, his confidence, his ability to rile up assholes who only live to bully others, everything about him you admired. And you’ve never even talked to him before. Your co-worker and now friend Robin would tease you about it when she caught you staring from across the cafeteria to the Hellfire table, but you knew it was all in good fun.
On this particular day, you couldn’t keep your eyes off of him, Robin rambling on in the background of your fazed mindset. You resisted leaning on your hand like a school girl so it wouldn’t be obvious, but maybe open-mouthed breathing and not eating is not all that different. You were absentmindedly chewing on your lip without exposing your teeth, and you could feel your heart beating out of your chest.
Robin stopped speaking a few minutes ago, unbeknownst to you. She realized you weren’t talking when she accidentally blurted something about herself to you which you usually would’ve had a bigger reaction to. You realized she had stopped talking when Nancy sat down across from you, blocking your vision. Nancy switched her wide eyes and unreadable expression between you and Robin, noting the silence. “It’s quiet here” she paused, “why?”
Suddenly you felt eyes burning through your left temple. You looked over seeing Robin almost glaring at you, but mostly amused. A beat passed when she looks over to Nancy and says, “Well Y/N over here can’t stop staring at Eddie. It’s worse than normal today.”
Nancy smirked, newly aware of your little crush on the school’s resident Freak. “You’ve got it bad, girl,’ she stated. You rolled your eyes because it’s not like you didn’t know. He only takes up about 75% of your brain and most of your nightly routines.
Robin tapped your arm, getting your attention. “Have you ever even spoken to him?”
“How am I supposed to do that? A party?” You shook your head pitifully. Not in the three years where you had this little crush did you ever utter a word. You had two classes with him, both where you sat in front of him, not able to catch a glance without being obvious. You always turned towards him when you got the chance. How were you supposed to talk to him other than a drug deal or walking up to his table? Seeing him at a party just wasn’t an option. You aren’t a weed kind of girl, and walking up to his table sounded like fun if you valued public humiliation.
You zoned out again, nibbling on your thumb. It was a nervous habit. You looked down at your lunch, stomach grumbling but appetite little. Your sandwich looked like spacefood. Unappetizing and only clumps of matter built for sustenance but with no taste. You looked up at Nancy, she had a look on her face, but you knew this look. She was figuring something out. This concerned you far too much. Nancy’s mind is not a force to be reckoned with. “What’s on your mind, Nancy?”
She paused and looked at Robin, then at you. “I have to pick up Mike and his friends from their Hellfire club this week. It usually goes a decent amount over their time frame and I have to barge in and get their asses in gear. Do you want to join me tomorrow? Might be a chance to actually talk to him.”
You glanced at Eddie, his smile wide, standing at the head of the table and making a grand degree which you do not hear. You can only hear your heartbeat pulsing hard at the mere opportunity to speak to him. If you ever go on a date with him how the hell are you going to say anything? Once or twice he has caught you staring and you look down immediately upon eyecontact. That eye contact alone makes you kick your feet and giggle in your bed.
You looked back at Nancy and Robin, dejected. “How am I supposed to talk to him? This is a fantasy. He wouldn’t want someone shy and spending three years liking him. Look at him.”
You felt a sharp pain in your left upper arm. Robin pinched your arm, hard. “Hey! Snap out of it.” You looked to her, startled yet curious. “Last year you beat the shit out of a Russian and the year before that you smacked that demodog thing that Dustin had a new one. Stop! Devaluing! Yourself!” For emphasis, she pinches you again three more times on each word.
You looked at Nancy. You smiled close mouthed and rubbed your now sore arm, thankful for friends who can kick you in the ass when you need it. “I-I’ll come with you, Nance. Thank you for thinking of this.”
Nancy smiles, finishing her lunch. Robin’s lunch is finished, sat empty in front of her. You still haven’t eaten, and you’re still too queasy for it. It might be worse now that you have the actual opportunity you need. You drank some water hoping it would last you through the day.
Robin hitched her breath and giggled. “Nance, I think she’ll be even more nervous now. I’m not sure how she’ll last through her shift tonight.” Your eyes widen, you forgot you worked tonight. You pushed your tray forward and let your forehead land on the table. You are screwed.
School passed by quick enough. You hated math, the one subject you knew Eddie passed the first time in his attempt at senior year. Where do invisible numbers get off by being in a place where they do not belong? World geography was shitty enough but at least when you had the opportunity you could grab a glance of him, bored out of his mind, a notebook in front of him for once. It looked like this year he might actually pass. Secretly, you hoped he had someone to help him. At the end of your last period sans Eddie (you’re pretty sure it was his free period), you stretch you arms up and hard, knowing you’ll need to be at work in two hours.
You grabbed your homework and ran to your shitty ten year old beat up old green honda. Your parents surprised you for your 16th birthday. Surprised was the definition of your reaction. Growing up you were told not to expect a car for any birthdays. If you wanted something, you earned it. (The reason for your job). Despite them beating the very idea into your noggin for 15 and a half years, they surprised you. Any money you had saved for a car is now into a college fund. Your parents were kind of rad.
You stopped by your house to grab something hopefully to eat since you cant take the hunger pains anymore despite your nausea. When peering into the fridge, you noticed a small salad in Tupperware that your mom put away probably wanting to eat later. Most food stored tupperwares in your family were used but not taken advantage of, so you knew she wouldn’t see a loss if you ate it. The first bite was hard but worth it. Nausea damned, you needed something at least before work. Eddie had such power over you, the man with the leather and the rings and the eccentric personality, that you were in your kitchen standing in front of your fridge, tentatively chewing at a salad.
You only ate half. You had a feeling you’d be throwing it up soon out of nerves. After pitifully throwing the salad back into the fridge you wandered around the house for half an hour, thankful no one was home. Your mom knew you have a crush. Whenever boys are brought up at home in front of your mom you blush and keep your mouth closed. It’s been like this since she asked on the third day of Freshman year. Now being senior year, your mom was growing concerned about your lack of ability to talk to someone you liked. She’d hoped you grew out of it.
Anxiety told you otherwise. Anxiety told you not to do it. Anxiety told you that if you ever asked him out he would laugh in your face, or worse just let you down gently. Anxiety, is a bitch.
One thing Anxiety did do, was speed up time for you. One great thing out of a million terrible things. After your pacing around you grabbed your uniform to put on and drove early to start your shift at the video store. Ding dong.
In the middle of a conversation with Robyn who started early tonight, steve was talking animatedly about a date with yet another girl he met at the video store. “I think she’s it, I think she’s the one!’ Steve exclaimed his hands making big gestures.
You walked in their conversation with your bag over your shoulder, feeling more relaxed that you have a four hour shift tonight and you can focus on that. “Steve didn’t you say that about Stacy Lumbar last week? How many times are you going to meet the one, cause at this rate we won’t have anymore room for your engagement rings at the back.”
Steve “accidentally” bumped into you as you walked to the back, forcing you to bump into a stack. “That was your own fault!” You exclaim, running to the back bathroom.
You clocked in early, knowing Keith would have your head. Whatever, you’ll clock out five minutes early to avoid overtime bullshit.
Robin greeted you sweetly as you walked in, a hint of smug behind her eyes. “Hello, sweetness! How you feelin?”
You squinted at her, she knew how you were. “I hate you.” She  shot you a big smile, knowing you didn’t mean anything by it.
Steve looked between you and Robin while simultaneously putting the videos away. “What do you mean, is something wrong with her?”
“Oh she’s just nervous because Nance is forcing her to talk to Eddie tomorrow,” she says, light as a feather. The mention of his name made you nauseous again, the salad stuck in your throat.
Steve, in such a Steve-like manner, asks, “Wait, Robin I thought you said-“
“Steve! Zip-it!” Robin shouts, using a quick zipper motion over her mouth.
“Oh shit.” Steve says, then walks away from you like nothing happened.
You look between your two co-workers, knowing them well enough to know that they aren’t telling you something. “What just happened,” you say as you shake your head. They both say nothing, sharing a quiet conversation.
Here’s what you don’t know.
When Nancy was thinking to herself, she didn’t think of a simple solution such as bringing you to Hellfire. She was going to do that this week without even telling you. Her second solution was to send Eddie to your work place, effectively trapping you. After leaving the lunch table, Nancy did a quick round before arriving to her class five minutes late. She’s a Straight-A student, most teachers give her flack for it.
She ran into Mike when he left his table, asking him to ask Eddie to pick up a certain movie from the store. Nancy specifically told Mike to tell Eddie to pick up the specific movie at 5:30 because the movie will be returned by another patron around 5:15. Biggest movie of the year, impossible to get. Mike was confused to why he had to listen to Nancy, and Nancy simply gestured her head to you, dumping your entire lunch remains on into the garbage.
You and Mike don’t talk much. Most times you communicate is when most of your lives are in danger. Mike does know you really like Eddie (he didn’t know how long). Mike looked back to his sister, his face incredulous. “Yeah whatever any other reason?”
Nancy huffed and rolled her eyes. “I’ll do your math homework for a week. Ninth grade math was easy beans.”
Mike smirked in the way only little brothers can. “Oh I would’ve done it for Y/N. But sure that works.” Nancy shoved him, walking off to the payphone to give Steve a call.
Yeah. Nancy Wheeler loves you you to the point where she will purposely call an ex.
“Video store, no, we don’t have x movie.” Steve answered, bored at his slow day at work.
“Hey Steve it’s me,” she says out of breath from fast walking to the payphone. “Can you and Robin take a break around 5:30 for me? I’m getting Eddie to stop by the store today.”
She could hear the smirk Steve gave over the phone. “Nancy Wheeler you are a genius. I will absolutely do that.”
She hung up the phone without saying bye, and ran off to her class, just missing the final bell. It was all set into motion, assuming Mike would ask Eddie.
-
“No.” Eddie said, eyes dark and arms crossed.
“Please!” Mike pleaded knowing he looked like a dork.
Eddie stood up from leaning his ass on the table with his legs crossed at the ankles. “Listen to this. Fuck no.”
Mike huffed exasperated, knowing he would have to do Eddie a favour in order for him to get him to do this.
“Why can’t big sister Wheeler drive you?” He asked, side-eying Mike.
Mike bit his lip, thinking quickly on the spot. “Nance has to watch our little sister tonight so she can’t drive me, and I have to do my chores.”  Eddie mocked him silently, almost impersonating DeNiro. “If you do this, I-I’ll do your deals for three days. No a week!”
Eddie softened at his and put his hands out. “Whoa whoa, Wheeler you don’t have to do that. Deals are easy money, but you can get caught. I’m not risking that for you, you’re only a freshman.” Eddie paused, a gentle look on his face that Mike rarely sees. “Is this fucking movie really that important?”
Mike nodded. “It’s been out at the movie store for literal weeks. This might be the only chance I can get it.”
Eddie had a soft spot for him, Dustin, and Lucas. Mike knew this. Eddie slouched back onto the DnD table, finally giving in to what Mike was asking. “Yeah, sure ya Twerp. I’ll pick it up for you.”
Mike felt a large wave of relief rushing over him. Eddie didn’t give in very often. This was a win.
-
Why the fuck was Mike asking him to pick up this goddamn movie? It’s not like he didn’t know anyone else who could drive. Didn’t he know Harrington who worked there? Couldn’t Harrington just save it for him? Why the fuck specifically 5:30? Ugh. Eddie couldn’t wait to go home, smoke a little, and get this headache out and spend time with his guitar.
He shrugged his shoulders after Mike triumphantly walked away from him, chuckling at his new commitment. He let his scowl fade and sat down at his throne in the DnD room, alone with his thoughts. He caught you staring again today, and he wasn’t one thousand percent sure what to make of it. Did you think he was weird? Did you like him (not possible)? Did you just stare into space? Eddie didn’t know what to make of it, but he has caught you three times this week, each of them he’s not even sure you realized.
He wondered what a pretty girl could be staring at him for, and if it was a cruel prank. There was no way anyone as pretty as you would be staring because they liked him. That wasn’t possible for the next 8 months. When he finally gets out of Hawkins and no one knows about his Freak status maybe someone will like him.
Sure, he noticed you when you weren’t staring. The way your hair framed your face, your lips pursed when you were concentrating, or when you were laughing with your friends at your lunch table with your nose crinkled. You were stunning. Breathtaking, even.
Eddie stood up to stretch, his white shirt exposing a strip of his trail. He checked his watch, seeing 5:10 and decided he should head out, even though he usually drove fast. The radio was loud and on the Rock Station, as usual, drumming out to some Guns n Roses. He hit a few early red lights, cringing and hoping no cop was around. His route was taking longer than usual today, and it was 5:28.
He swerved into the parking lot of the video store, double parking. He was right on time. With a hint of his swagger and charm, he strutted into the store, taking his sunglasses off when the bell rang.
Looking around for Harrington, but instead found you. Only you, at the front counter.
He didn’t know you worked here. Now he was a little nervous.
Shit.
-
Your shift started out pretty normally. Robin and Steve were arguing as per usual on the evening movie when Robin looks at the time and taps it twice to Steve. Steve nods and looks at you. You were confused to what their silent conversation was about, remembering the one they had earlier. What were they on today. She knows she was just nervous but what the hell was wrong with them?
You were about to continue putting returned movies back when Steve approaches you. “Hey, Y/N listen Robin and I are going to take our breaks at the same time since it’s really slow right now. Can you just stay at the front desk and man the store for 15?”
You blinked, confused. “What do you mean you’re taking your breaks at the same time? You’re seriously going to leave me alone? What about the rush hour crowd?” You were already on edge today, this wasn’t helping.
Steve put his left arm on your right shoulder somewhat harder than necessary. “I believe in you.” Before you could argue any longer, he and Robin rushed to the back as if there were a fire. Please let there be a fire; you literally just wanted to go home.
You walked up to the front, noting the time on your watch. It was 5:30. You sighed. Only 3 and a half hours to go… You lied your head on the computer for half a second when the bell rang. You looked over, and you swear your jaw dropped. Eddie.
Eddie was there, taking off his sunglasses and scanning the store until he found you. You weren’t sure why he scanned it, but it still made you smile. When he saw you, you almost saw a familiarity in his eyes, as if he knew who you were. You were positive he doesn’t.
He took his time, strutting to the counter. Little did you know, he was fucking panicking. His heart was racing out of his chest but he was playing it cool. He hoped.
You tried to relax yourself, feeling your salad coming up again. “Hi, Munson,” you said feeling weird about being so formal. “Can I help you?”
He stopped at the counter, looking over you. “Uh yeah, doesn’t Harrington work here?” he asked, giving the store another scan.
You were taken aback by this. “Uh yeah, he and my other coworker insisted on taking their breaks right now. So, it’s just me.”
He didn’t think you were just you. “Well, just you. I’m here picking up a movie for Wheeler.”
You pushed your eyebrows together. “Mike?”
He nodded vigorously, his sunglasses falling off of his head. “Yep, that’s the one.”
When his sunglasses fell off, you couldn’t help a giggle pop out of your mouth. He would do anything to make it happen again. He leaned onto the counter, grabbing them. You had to take a moment, suddenly being able to smell him. You’ve never been this close before. He smelled like pine, cologne, mint toothpaste, and weed. It was literally perfect. His hands were folded in front of himself on the counter, ringed hand over the one with a ring on this thumb. You were both shaking and turned on. This was a great day. You don’t know how long you lingered, but you shook out of it and leant down to your saved returns.
There was one labelled in all caps MIKE. Oh thank god it was there. “Oh this movie is always gone.” You bent back up to enter it into the computer, unaware that he was now returning the favour you gave him two minutes ago.
He was not being subtle about it. Since you’ve never seen him so close, he’s never seen you so close. He took in the way your eye colour just seemed to be the perfect colour, the faint smell of lilac on your uniform from your detergent, and the way you were nibbling on your thumb again. He may have leaned down to grab his sunglasses but now he was resting on his arms.
You finished entering it, and looked at him asking, “How long do you want to rent it for?”
“Pfft” Eddie said. “I totally forgot to ask Wheeler. Let’s say 48 hours.”
You furrowed your brow. “You sure? Don’t you have your DnD campaign tomorrow? When is he going to have time to watch it?” He was taken aback, not realizing you knew when his club met.
“Shit, make it 3 days then,” he says, putting his hands up as if he didn’t care. You smile at him, hopefully not too wide. He smiled back when you turned back to the computer, the lines down his cheeks prominent. Too bad you missed it, you lived for his smile. When you missed it, he just looked down wondering what the hell he was supposed to do.
“Ok, that’ll be 2.89 for the weekend, then.” You look at him.
He scrownged into his pockets. First his vest, then his leather jacket, then his jeans. That’s fine he can take his time. You’ll just patiently wait. And watch. “Aha!” He said loudly, scaring you. “Here, and sorry”
You said it was fine, your heart beating out of its chest. You knew he was loud. You just never heard him this close before.
He put five dollars on the counter. You grabbed the bill to give him change before he says. “Oh keep the change. I don’t like coins.”
You scrunched up your nose, “Why not?”
He shrugged. “Drug dealer. Only like cash. I don’t use coins very often, anyway.”
You were talking to him. You were making a conversation with Eddie Munson, and he tipped you. You were talking to Eddie fucking Munson. You wanted it to keep going. “You-you’re not what I thought you’d be.” That’s true, he’s much better than you thought. You just wanted to give him the satisfaction of not being called a freak. You hated that term.
He chuckled without humor tossing his hair out of his way. “What were you expecting, Eddie the Freak?” he sticks his tongue out, but you could tell your heart wasn’t in it.
You shook your head vigorously, not wanting to be misunderstood. “No, not at all. You’re not a freak.” You paused. “I was expecting a little more drama maybe, but not a freak.”
Not a freak, you said. Not a freak. Eddie gave a genuine smile, and took the tape off of the counter. “Thanks, Y/N. That meant a lot.” He was backing up to leave when you interrupted him.
You weren’t ready for him to leave. Also how the fuck did he know your name? “Wait,” he paused exactly how he was, and slowly turned around, “you know my name?” you asked, too taken aback to laugh at his dramatics.
Eddie bounced to a normal stance and walked a few steps back towards you. “Yeah, you’re in two of my classes.” He paused, almost hesitating. You don’t think you’ve seen him hesitate. “Plus…” he takes a breath, “I catch you staring once in a while.”
Your eyes go big, your mouth dries. Your salad feels like its travelling back up from wence it came. You gulped, somewhat audibly. “Y-you do?”
Eddie shrugs. “I mean I’m not mad, I catch lots of people staring for different reasons. Yours never seems hateful though…” he let the sentence fade out his eyes looking off. “Why do you stare? Also why do you do that?”
You avoided the first question at the first chance. “Do what?”
He pointed at your thumb in your mouth. “That.”
You looked you were nibbling on your thumb again. Shit. “Uh nervous habit,” you say putting your thumb down.
He stared at you, VHS in one hand, glasses in the other. He used his head to move one side of his long curly hair behind his shoulder. “You’re not answering my other question. Why do you stare?”
It was a pregnant pause. You could tell he wasn’t being cruel. He was just curious. You’ve seen him when his club members say some shit he doesn’t like and his eyes go dark. His eyes were light brown right now. They were gorgeous. You fiddled with your fingers, not wanting to answer this right now.
You heard a sigh and looked back up to face the man that has haunted you for three years. “Listen if you don’t want to answer, I get that. But next time I catch you I’m going to wave. I’ll see you tomorrow in class.”
“Nancy Wheeler is picking her brother up from Hellfire Club tomorrow. I’m coming with her, we’re hanging out tomorrow night. See you then, too?”
Eddie licked his lips and scratched his nose. You could almost see a smile on his face. “Yeah. See you then.” He opened up both doors and jogged to his van. You checked the time, it was 5:50. You were talking to Eddie for 20 minutes.
You were talking. With words. To Eddie Munson. For twenty. Minutes.
Wait if it’s been twenty minutes where were Robin and Steve?
“Robin, Steve?” You shouted to the back. “Your break is five minutes over get back here!” You leaned over the counter, almost hoping you could get that scent back. It wasn’t there but you were smiling. A lot.
“You did so good!” Robin comes from the back, her arms open wide and mouth in a big open smile. She hugs you tight and jumps up and down.
You scrunch your face up, getting out of her hug. “What do you mean I did so good?” You look to Steve, who looks more smug than normal. Which you thought was impossible. “What the hell does that mean?”
Robin did a little hip dance, almost falling over. “We set you up.” She says her voice cracking as she stumbles. “We made sure Eddie came here today while you were alone! Now you have talked to him!”
Steve put his hand one on of his hips, looking at you with what you think might be pity. “Wait you’ve never spoken to him? And you’ve liked him for three years?”
You glared at Steve, giving a warning sign. You might be shy, but your face says some words. “No, Steve, we can’t all ask people out when we want.”
Steve now put both hands on his hips, something he usually did with Dustin and them. “Hey, be nice. I’m looking for Mrs.Right. I know she’s out there somewhere. And I will be here when she needs to rent a movie.”
Robin pushed him to one side of the store with the return rack still there from when you were working on it. “Here. Work. Be useful.” Steve did, somewhat unergetically.
“So how did it go, how are you feeling?” Robin came to you, her eyes sparked like they usually are when gossip isn’t about her.
“Like I’m going to be sick” You say, holding your stomach. It was true, you might be excited you managed to not stumble through the whole comversation, but that didn’t stop your anxiety bubbling like you were boiling water. At least when you haven’t spoken to him you had a blank slate to leave a good impression. What kind of impression is it when you’re in a dorky uniform stumbling and biting your thumb?
Robin moved her head as if to ask more details. “Aaaand?”
You managed a smile. “Really excited.” You started to run to the bathroom, your nerves getting the worst of you. “Im going to be sick!”
When you were puking the one thing you ate today, Robin ran to Steve, unable to contain herself. “Holy shit did you see Munson? I’ve never seen him look that nice before.”
Steve nodded, putting the movies in place. “Yeah I noticed that. I’ve never seen his guard that down before, I’ll admit.” He finished the pile that was in his hands and looked to her. “At the same time, Robin he also might not be that tough. Let’s not read into it too much until Nance sees how tomorrow goes. She’s going to trap them again.”
Robin giggled and clapped her hands. She was giddy about drama that had nothing to do with her. “This will be so fun. If she reacts like this to talking I can’t wait until he asks her out.”
He looks back to where you were now flushing the toilet empathetically. “Poor thing will be out for a week.”
