MARINA IS ALREADY PAINTED, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF PERLINA WEEK AAAAAAAH.
It's a shame I didn't have it for the 3rd day of Perlina Week, which was "New Merch". But the important thing is that it's already here, just missing the base to be a real "amiibo". By the way, I “painted” the laptop with stickers!
I'm going to try to paint Pearl in time for the release of Side Order, and I'll time the hours it takes because with Marina it's been like that more than 15. My back hurts.
Can we please notice the habit that my figures have of breaking just before photographing them, in this case the pendant. AND I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE LACES OF HER SHOES BROKE, THEY WERE LIKE THAT BEFORE I STARTED PAINTING HER, I'M SAD.

Have the complete set of my prototype print together and I am happy with the size. Buffy is around 21,3cm and so Spike will be approximately 21,8cm.
Edited the file and soon ready to print the finale and purchase-able version.
Wanted to max out the the size that’s possible for my printer with minimal amount of parts. had to split the podest, which is easy to conceal/correct though. Will also sand and polish surface parts where it’s needed.
Hope I can provide a look of the final versions of the spike and buffy print soon
Forgot to post my test print of Muriel’s head here! She is a big ongoing ball jointed doll project of mine, and I’m excited to finally hold a 3d model I sculpted!
I need to make some adjustments so she prints better, but it’s all part of the process of calibrating my new 3d printer.

I really need to stop shopping online 😂🙈 time to try out a new creative medium! Been fascinated with 3D printing for sometime and decided to take the plunge and pick up my own machine! Hoping to learn some new things and perhaps eventually print some things I can sell through my Etsy!
My first 3D printer arrived a couple of weeks ago, and has just sat in a box since then. Nominally it's because I wanted to wait until my daughter's boyfriend is back from school because he's really into these things and also I might need help. Really it's because every little pull on my time hurts a bit and I knew something like this would be a big pull. (Side note: this is why I retired. I just didn't want to feel that particular pull any more.) Anyway, it looks like this.
Just getting to that point took a bit of work, because the setup instructions were a bit less than stellar. My theory is that they're a kind of test, so that people don't start messing with the more sensitive bits unless/until they prove they're good enough to put it together. Nonetheless, I managed to get it assembled with all of the plugs in the right holes and such, then do the calibration, well enough for it to work. So, here's my first ever print (I literally had no experience with 3D printers until today).
Pretty nice, I'd say. Yes, you can see some striation, but overall I'm very pleased with the detail and finish. It's especially impressive since I deliberately got a low end printer on the theory that if I stick with it I'll probably outgrow it in only a few months.
Now, I'm pretty sure my wife is downloading some model files for D&D figures right this moment, and she might expect me to make them next. But first, I have to make at least one frog for my daughter before she's gone again.

SIDE ORDER RELEASE DATE, AAAAAAH. Good motivation to resume the publications, and it was time to show Pearl's amiibo project with her Octo Expansion clothes.
Matching Marina's amiibo, of course (because they're girlfriends-). I have yet to paint both, but I hope to show you the result soon <3
It's funny because I haven't finished showing you the figures of this batch (there are four) and since Side Order arrives in a month, I'll have to start working on Robopearl, on Off the Hook from Splatoon 3... Work piles up.
