#elon musk is a white supremacist

Over the weekend, as events unfolded chaotically across Israel, it was difficult to assess what was real and what wasn’t. That has arguably gotten even harder amid the fallout, both in terms of assessing what exactly happened during horrific attacks on Israeli civilians and on Israel’s response, which has involved the cutting of food, water, and electricity from Gaza’s two million residents. Per a Wired report from Monday, “Rather than being shown verified and fact-checked information, X users were presented with video game footage passed off as footage of a Hamas attack and images of firework celebrations in Algeria presented as Israeli strikes on Hamas. There were faked pictures of soccer superstar Ronaldo holding the Palestinian flag, while a three-year-old video from the Syrian civil war [was] repurposed to look like it was taken this weekend.” Twitter has gotten slower and worse at removing disinformation before it spreads. And users willing to spend $8 a month for a blue check can boost—and, in some cases, monetize—the spread of misinformation. All told, the social network demonstrated a singular ability to take a complex, fast-moving situation and make it more difficult to comprehend. This is a disaster for Twitter, which had previously demonstrated an ability to be indispensable during fast-moving crises. Changes made by Musk to the platform—from the gutting of teams devoted to trust and safety, to the removal of “legacy” blue checks for reporters, even to the recent removal of headlines from links—have all made it more difficult to ascertain if what you are seeing in the ruins of your Twitter feed is real or fake, making it much easier to spread misinformation. For over a year, we’ve heard various reports of Twitter’s demise. Some have been hyperbolic; many have failed to appreciate how resilient the the service was before Musk’s arrival. It’s likely that some facsimile of Twitter will exist, far into the future. But a seismic shift in how the platform is perceived has occurred. If it isn’t good for breaking news, then what good is it? Perhaps it’s not a force for good at all.
The Week Twitter Went Evil
This is all by design. This is all intentional. Elon Musk is an antisemitic white supremacist who wants to sow as much chaos as possible. He’s a younger, slightly less vulgar Trump. Everything he’s done since he took over Twitter has been in service of ruining its utility for real communication, instantaneous delivery of vital information, while promoting neonazis, antisemitism, and right wing disinformation.
Elon Musk presents an existential threat to humanity. Innocent people are dying, and will continue to suffer and die, as a direct result of his actions.

A federal judge on Monday threw out a lawsuit by Elon Musk’s X that had targeted a watchdog group for its critical reports about hate speech on the social media platform. In a blistering 52-page order, the judge blasted X’s case as plainly punitive rather than about protecting the platform’s security and legal rights. “Sometimes it is unclear what is driving a litigation,” wrote District Judge Charles Breyer, of the US District Court for the Northern District of California, in the order’s opening lines. “Other times, a complaint is so unabashedly and vociferously about one thing that there can be no mistaking that purpose.” “This case represents the latter circumstance,” Breyer continued. “This case is about punishing the Defendants for their speech.” X’s lawsuit had accused the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) of violating the company’s terms of service when it studied, and then wrote about, hate speech on the platform following Musk’s takeover of Twitter in October 2022. X has blamed CCDH’s reports, which showcase the prevalence of hate speech on the platform, for amplifying brand safety concerns and driving advertisers away from the site. In the suit, X claimed that it had suffered tens of millions of dollars in damages from CCDH’s publications. CCDH is an international non-profit with offices in the UK and US. Because of its potential to destroy the watchdog group, the case has been widely viewed as a bellwether for research and accountability on X as Musk has welcomed back prominent white supremacists and others to the platform who had previously been suspended when the platform was still a publicly-traded company called Twitter.

Twitter is failing to remove 99% of hate speech posted by Twitter Blue users, new research has found, and instead may be boosting paid accounts that spew racism and homophobia.
Researchers at the Center For Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) flagged hate speech to the company in tweets from 100 Twitter Blue subscribers. Four days later, they say, 99% of the tweets were still up and none of the accounts had been removed.
The tweets, which included examples of neo-Nazism, antisemitism, racism, and homophobia, violate Twitter’s own hate speech policies, the researchers say. The tweets reported by the CCDH included a post claiming “Hitler was right,” accompanied by a video montage of the dictator, and another saying LGBT activists needed “IRON IN THEIR DIET. Preferably from a #AFiringSquad.”
Twitter’s hateful content policy, updated as recently as April 2023, outlines that: “You may not directly attack other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.” The tweets found by the CCDH “clearly violate the platform's policies,” researchers wrote.
Twitter Blue, a paid verification service that allows anyone to get a “blue tick” badge next to their username on the platform for only $8 a month, was rolled out in December 2022. Last month, Twitter’s then-CEO Elon Musk announced that these verified accounts would be prioritized as part of Twitter’s algorithm, meaning they are more likely to be seen by users on the platform.
Paying subscribers receive “prioritized rankings in conversations and search,” according to Twitter’s own website. The company promises paid users: “Tweets that you interact with will receive a small boost in their ranking. Additionally, your replies will receive a boost that ranks them closer to the top.”
CCDH researchers say they found Twitter Blue users in their samples appeared to be “given priority” in threads. “In one example of a thread containing almost 100 tweets from non-verified users, the top-ranked reply was from a Twitter Blue user calling for violence against Migrants,” they wrote.

“What gives blue tick hate actors confidence to spew their bile is the knowledge that Elon Musk simply doesn’t care about the civil and human rights of Black people, Jews, Muslims and LGBTQ+ people, as long as he can make his 8 bucks a month,” Imran Ahmed, the chief executive of the CCDH, said in a statement to The Daily Beast, “Our society has benefited from decades of progress on tolerance, but Elon Musk is undoing those norms at an ever-accelerating rate, by allowing hate to prosper on the spaces he administers, all with the tacit approval of the advertisers who remain on his platform.”
Previous research from the CCDH found that under Elon Musk’s leadership of Twitter, tweets linking LGBT people to “grooming” skyrocketed, jumping 119 percent between Musk’s takeover in October 2022 and March 2023. The study found that five high-profile Twitter accounts responsible for consistently linking LGBT to “grooming” were set to generate $6.4 million a year in advertising revenue for Twitter.
The Daily Beast reached out to Twitter for comment, and received only a poop emoji in response.

Redemption (and og as well as far as i can remember) does this thing where perfectly ordinary evil is reframed as a 'there's something More behind this' kind of evil. the episode about conservatorship wasnt about how absolutely anyone could abuse a conservatorship, it was about a deal between a corrupt judge and a career criminal to abuse conservatorships. not exactly ordinary people. the episode that starts with what seems like a hate crime goes on to reveal that the whole thing was actually a coverup for another criminal activity. the bad guys ARE nazis and yeah we frown at them but the real issue is something else. the episode about violent cops isn't actually about police brutality or (figures) racism at all, it's about one specific cop wanting to steal a winning lottery ticket off the guy who won it. that the guy happened to be latino and have a history of drug abuse are just the excuses the bad guy needed to go after him. etcetera. again and again they present a problem and then skirt the issue and refuse to address it directly. and i'm not a fan.

And here's Spyglass Media Group explaining why they fired Melissa Barrera: 👇
Tumblr media
"FALSE REFERENCES TO GENOCIDE AND ETHNIC CLEANSING"
Let's be clear here... she wasn't fired for making an antisemite comment.
Mel Gibson was even more obvious with the whole "Jews control the media" narrative. And yet he has had no problem getting work in Hollywood.
No, Barrera was fired for accusing Israel of commiting genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza. Which Spyglass considers to be completely false.
Last October, Maha Dakhil, a prominent CAA talent agency agent, was forced to step down from leadership roles after she dared to criticize Israel's war crimes in Gaza.
Guess who was among the powerful Hollywood big-wigs leading the charge to get her to resign from CAA? Gary Barber, the CEO of Spyglass Media Group.
Even more proof that this has nothing to do with antisemitism is that Hollywood big wheels are now trying to go after writer/director Boots Riley, for voicing similar views as Melissa's. Boots Riley is Jewish.
BTW, Jenna Ortega is Pro-Palestine as well...
Tumblr media
As a result of that Tweet, Ortega was quickly tagged as an antisemite & a HAMAS supporter by The Times of Israel.
Tumblr media
It REALLY becomes harder to combat actual antisemitism when people who dare to criticize Israel's war crimes get quickly branded as antisemites for doing so.
So you have a ridiculous situation where celebs who openly hate Israel's government are tagged as antisemites. Placing their careers in peril.
While people who openly spread antisemitism, such as Elon Musk, they rarely face any consequences - see attached Tweets below where Musk promotes the White Supremacist "great replacement theory" that claims that Jews want to destroy the white race/Western Civilization. His dog whistles are not subtle at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite his antisemitic tweets, Musk received praise by the Anti-Defamation League because the so-called champion of "free speech" threatened to ban anyone that called for the decolonization of Palestine.
Tumblr media
So apparently, the real antisemites are the people that dare to criticize Israel. Not the people who actually hate jews. It's f*cked up.
Anyway, Spyglass has made their move. Let's see if it pays off.

Tumblr media
I mean, advertisers are leaving in droves and users are joining them because they don’t want to be associated with all the conspiracy theorists, violent bullies, white supremacists, trolls, Russian propagandists, and banned agitators Elon Musk proudly welcomed back to Twitter and immediately spotlighted.
Not sure how that squares with the assertion that everyone who has had it up to here with Elon Musk’s bullshit is “Destroying free speech”. The 4chan trolls he wants to promote and spotlight can say whatever they want, and nobody has to listen to them or give him money to enable them.
Go to hell, Elon, you fucking choad.
