Can I say about the BtVS fandom - I thoroughly enjoy the Domestic!Spike angle some fics have. Like, he likes taking care of the women in his life. Buffy's kind of hopeless in that arena IIRC and could really use some coddling and cuddling on the regular. Spike cared for an ailing mother, then spent decades nurturing Dru. He's into home decorating and owns a tape measure.
I only just got into the fandom after a recent rewatch, after first watching through the box set DVDs in college (yeah, I'm old and rapidly approaching that part of the proverbial hill one's over on those black-and-white balloons at Party City). For a show that ended two decades ago, y'all are spectacular to this day 😘😘😘

What would Wei say? (🔞choices below the cut)
➡️"So can you make multiple copies of me here?"
➡️"How about you make a bunch of other Damiens?"
*Links above lead to gratuitous, self-indulgent smut. Definitely not safe for work.
Behold, the fruit of the bashful Chen poll. It was meant to be a single pinup-like illustration, but one thing led to another (and with valuable inspiration from @ladyshivs and @extreme-neutral), it ended up as another choose your own smut 😌😌.
(Also, reblogs are disabled on the linked posts. So, if you’re planning to, reblog this one instead 🫣)

I never understood the idea of being attracted to a teacher until this day. WHY IS GUOSHI!XL SO HOT????? Is it because he's a lot more aloof and feels more harsher than current Xie Lian? I don't know, but I love it, I really do love his Guoshi era.
I like that, even in this fairly serious episode, we see funny moments with Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan talking about Banyue, and Mu Qing and Feng Xin arguing like cats and dogs.
But without a doubt, my favourite part was Hualian.
The way I screeched when HC came and grabbed XL, I did not think that the animation team would've gotten away with the waist touch, but they did.
Xie Lian was never afraid; he felt guilty, yes, but he still cared for Hua Chang, and more importantly, his first instinctive thought had been that HC came to save him. For centuries, he'd been alone, and before then, he suffered his some of his worst moments without help and didn't expect anyone to ease his pains. Yet, for the first time in years, he, even for a moment, believed that someone had come for him to help him because they cared. XL's first thought was that HC came to his rescue because he instinctually knew that HC cared.
And HC felt guilty for hurting him, and he couldn't care less for Paradise Manor. Like he said, PM was never a home. It was a residence, one of many he made FOR XL, so why would he care if it burned down? Making sure XL was safe and happy was his priority but he hurt the very person he dedicated his whole heart to, and that honestly hurt HC more than anything else. I love it so much.
On another note, the donghua was definitely more open with HC's expressions and emotions than the manhwa. The manhwa have the feel of a normally cold, collected person understanding that the love of their life doesn't value themselves, of resignation and sadness, while angry at themselves for not being enough. Meanwhile, the donghua makes HC more expressive, pained, and hurt with an open wound, also angry at himself for not being enough, but also angry at the world for making XL think that he isn't worth it and it actively hurts HC to think about it.
Also, the fact that they made it seem like HC was about to cry and e-ming was about to cry more made me sad and laugh at the same time. Like, look at their faces:

Explorations of Freyja for the familiar prompt in sketchbook week! I went for a more detailed style in the final drawing, but here was me working at simplifying the design and creating a recognisable silhouette so that I could at some point translate her into the Hilda style :]
Referenced @airborneice’s work, and the original drawings by the dearly departed @/hilda-fanblog

My dad was Bruce-ing again today.
Dad: Where are your keys? I'm gonna go put more air in your tire.
Me: I already filled it up this week.
Dad: Oh okay.
Dad goes upstairs for a second and comes back with a bag in his hand.
Dad: Here, take this poncho and put it in your glove compartment. In case you have to pull over in the rain, put it on so other cars can see you.
So then I took my new bright ass orange poncho to my car, bypassing the three water bottles my dad had stuffed in the door pocket as well as the emergency phone battery pack charger he stuffed in another pocket.

as much as i am a fan of watcher, i also feel like their decision has made them unappealing to their international audience (me included). to pay $6 for a streaming service, that currently produces a video a week seems so unnecessary in comparison to other financial expenses. $6 in my currency could equate to 2 meals, or 2 cups of coffee which i could use for studying. in the grand scheme of things, subscribing to watcher does not seem appealing.
with that, watcher could have chosen to partner with other streaming services to make subscriptions more appealing. but if the service only provides just the current content they produce now, it seems so out of touch to think fans would likely support the move.
