On Saturday, in New York, a group of friends pulled into a strangers driveway to turn their car around. The homeowner came outside, shot at them, and killed one of the 20 year old women in the car.

Last Thursday, in Kansas City, a 16 year old boy ended up at the wrong address by mistake trying to pick up his younger siblings. He rang the doorbell. The homeowner shot him in the head. He is, miraculously, alive and recovering.

Yesterday, in Texas, a group of high school cheerleaders stopped at a grocery store on their way home. One of them opened the door to the wrong car by mistake, realized her mistake, and quickly retreated and found her friends car nearby. The man in the car followed her and shot at the group. 2 were shot. One remains hospitalized.

In less than a week- 3 people, doing normal, nonmalicious, nonthreatening, everyday things. Turning around in a driveway, ringing the wrong doorbell, going up to the wrong car by mistake. And with no escalation, no warning, it turns to gun fire.

It's a terrible intersection of easy access to firearms and an entitlement to use violence against others. All 3 of these recent incidents were so unprovoked and unjustifiable, and the core thread remains the same.

A man who felt entitled to use violence and had the means to do so with a firearm.

I don't even know what to say.

It fucking blows my mind how so many men will just see a picture of a woman and feel compelled to publicly announce whether he finds her fuckable or not. This happens on basically every social media site and also irl. Like, did you ever consider that maybe she's not desperate for the approval of random men and she doesn't care if you think that she's too fat or her nose is too big or whatever?

Long nails are proof that women's beauty standards have always focused on frailty, rejecting any physical prowess exuded by women. Defining feminity with fragility connotations dissuades women from gaining strength and fighting for themselves. Long hair, Long nails and underweight bodies are all physically uncomfortable- they prevent the wearer from fighting back. Even when women excercise, it is focused on maintaining an aesthetic instead of gaining strength. Men are afraid of what we are capable of so they try their very best to suppress us.

I just overheard some 6th grade boys talking and joking about r@ping kids. These boys are like 11. It’s disgusting.

I blame Sneako, Andrew Tate, and the entire existence of manosphere content for the rampant misogyny and continued reinforcement of rape culture. I have made many videos on this topic, and this one specifically is about the impact this and will continue to have on many young boys. My video is almost 4 mins long, but I talk about some articles to give insight and examples. It's just heartbreaking and frustrating to see this happening, and I fear without sustainable interventions and education this will cause even more issues.

Wanted to use this Twitter thread of 2 annoying White pple that started from a Youtuber getting called out for appropriating the W*nd*go as a jumping off point. It's utterly frustrating to me that people of colour still have to educate White pple on cultural appropriation becos they refuse to listen. I simply cannot understand why White people just feel so entitled to non-White cultures and always try to justify it as cultural appreciation, and when we try to put our foot down, White people will just accuse us of gatekeeping. And I havent even gotten to the icky anthropolgy vibes of the tweets.

I'm so sick and tired of White people taking Black and Brown cultures, folklores and mythologies, misunderstanding them, watering it down, and then commodifying the bastardized form of it. Is nothing sacred, nothing safe?
