Teenage surfing prodigy Erin Brooks has had her bid for Canadian citizenship turned down by the federal government. The 16-year-old Brooks was born in Texas and grew up in Hawaii but has Canadian ties through her American-born father Jeff, who is a dual American-Canadian citizen, and her grandfather who was born and raised in Montreal. Brooks had hoped to secure her citizenship and represent Canada at next year's Paris Olympics. But the ongoing SNAFU means she has had to miss the Pan American Games, which opened Friday in Chile and offers the winner an Olympic berth. The last opportunity to qualify for the Olympics is at the ISA World Championships in Puerto Rico in February. [...] In a letter explaining its decision not to grant a "discretionary grant of citizenship," Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada says Brooks did not meet the requirements. "The application is refused on the basis that the applicant is not stateless, has not experienced special or unusual hardship or provided services of an exceptional value to Canada which warrants a discretionary grant of Canadian citizenship," the letter stated.

Oh that's great. Erin Brooks(Olympic hopeful teenage surfer) finally got Canadian citizenship. Erin wanted to get Canadian citizenship in order to surf for Canada but was originally denied because of some bullcrap. Erin's father has dual citizenship and her grandfather was born and raised in Montreal so she does have familial ties to the country.

I know there’s been a lot of discussion on whether or not people will have kept their core personalities from the TV show into the reboot movie (i.e. Quinn is still a delightful nerd with her Quinnventions and random facts - even though she’s now blonde and wears contacts).

BUT considering how much of a jerk Logan used to be, I would absolutely LOVE to see Logan have gone from jerk stud to absolute SIMP HIMBO for Quinn. Like, he can keep his “dumb” persona, but I hope his attitude has morphed into a kinder person who is just head-over-heels for Quinn and has continued to be a better person because of her (which, I mean, we already saw him become a kinder person though the series and especially season 4 as he was dating Quinn.)

I mean - COME ON! This promo shot alone is enough to convince me that he’s gonna just be just goo-goo-ga-ga for Quinn — and in public now! Yaaas! We’ll finally SEE their relationship in front of their friends!

I'm about to make a controversial statement as a #CMPunk fan... I know nobody expects controversy from Punk related discourse, but... /s I think the reason Punk got so fired up about #JackPerry (and his interview as much as stated this) is that he sees his own youthful bullshit from 20 years ago in him. Same with getting mad at #AdamPage for "going into business for himself" in that promo. Because ultimately? These are things Punk would do (and HAS done) in his career. Feel like the most under-talked about crazy thing in Warriors is the lineage of Stormfur and Brook’s kits

These cats have blood from every Clan except ShadowClan plus the tribe, and since Graystripe’s other parent is unconfirmed at the moment, they could very well be a ShadowClan cat.

A brief description of their family tree:

Willowpelt, Graystripe’s mother has SkyClan blood. Willowbreeze, Stormfur’s grandma, has WindClan blood. Obviously, there’s Thunder, River, and Tribe in there. (also, a lot of the prefix Willow)

These are possibly the most genetically diverse cats we have.
