My First Immersion in Entrepreneurship Journey

Every time I hear the word "entrepreneurship," I picture a, successful business. My preconceived conception about entrepreneurship is that it involves people who are working tirelessly to maintain a healthy flow of business between rival companies. I was mistaken; innovation and the vision of intriguing ideas from nothing to a breakthrough are the cornerstones of entrepreneurship. It involves risk in the goal of demonstrating a solution to the issue and how to make money from it, but it does not ensure immediate success. Failures are a given, and the keys to success in this vast and dynamic sector are perseverance, ingenuity, and a mission-driven aim. I've come to the conclusion that entrepreneurs are essential to the community because without them, the economy would flop and there wouldn't be rapid growth across the field. Right now, everything revolves around business; it has a charisma that always leads people in circles, delights people's senses, triggers desires, and affects a person's emotional side, turning them into a consumer or someone wanting to engage in business. I also came to the realization that there is no real reason to constrain ourselves to the only field we have already encountered and mastered. Instead, we can explore by first being keen observers of what is truly lacking in our community or surroundings and then analyze the area in which we can integrate our solution and as to how we can make money from that particular issue. Entrepreneurs constantly search for chances and seek the positive side of every challenge. This is what truly enthralled me for I feel like I am the type of person who always finds ways for every struggle. In addition, according to my Berkeley index score, I am responsible, creative, and collaborative, yet my attitude is not completely set when establishing ideas. I adore nursing, so I can tell that I am highly passionate about my studies, but when it comes to business experience, I am no zero. I joined a multi-marketing business in 2020 and made 20,000 Php in just two months. However, I got busy and my mother objected, so I stopped. However, this does not mean that I don't have plans to join the business in the future. I may not do so right away because I am still engaged in nursing school, but I am certain that I can handle business in the future. I am dependable and hardworking, but I also need the right knowledge, attitude, and strategies. So much for my own narrative; I'm actually glad I have this topic to write about. While I battle with my major subjects in this course, I get to enjoy the ideas and teachings of this subject because I know I can utilize it if the day ever comes that I want to have a side income or if God changes my calling and allows me to become an entrepreneur. At the time, I attended a seminar where someone tried to persuade me that working for myself would allow me to spend more time with my family and not have to work nonstop. I firmly believe this to be true. He also said that businesspeople do have a good chance of becoming wealthy and paying less taxes overall. Well, I already knew that the wealthiest people nowadays work in cutting-edge industries. And this is what my instructor told me also and it brought a sudden bump to my mind. Nonetheless, sincerity dictates that while money can purchase some happiness in this world, I also think that each of us has a chosen and prepared vocation for ourselves. We have different areas of expertise, so it is improbable that everyone can be a successful businessperson. I can also add that while everybody can be in business, not everyone can be an entrepreneur. Overall my introductory phase in this course is quite a blast!

My prep so far…

I’m not going to sit here and say I’m not conscious of body image because you kind of have to when you’re going to be on stage in a bikini, which is why I had to be in a really good place mentally and have a good relationship with food and training before I decided to do these shows.

I recognised last year that I wasn’t in the right place mentally.

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and changes.

You need to be prepared for other people’s opinions, body changes, giving up on some aspects of socials, self doubt…and buying a new wardrobe cuz nothing bloody fits haha

I wanted to do this for me, to push myself to the extreme and see what I can achieve mentally and physically….but you know what, I am enjoying every single part of it the highs and the lows!

Luckily my prep has been fairly straight forward so I’ve definitely had far more highs than lows.

I’ve met such supportive people on my journey so far who message me and come up and speak to me with words of encouragement.

So thank you 🙏🏼
